SELLEST OSAST
On today’s episode we get into the complexity of what it means to be a leader - especially when faced with difficult challenges that require deep reflection, realignment and commitment to purpose.
Ryan Michler is a man who knows this all too well. Ryan is a combat veteran of the Iraq War, a father to 4 beautiful children and the founder of Order of Man and the Iron Council. He’s also the author of Sovereignty: The Battle For The Hearts And Minds Of Men and more recently, The Masculinity Manifesto: How A Man Establishes Influence, Credibility & Authority. Ryan has literally built his career and reputation on leading men toward lives of integrity and purpose, and yet, he is most certainly human.
This conversation takes place at a time in his life when he’s navigating some really difficult and painful personal experiences that have, in a lot of ways, challenged how he’s shown up in the world. Those experiences have afforded him the opportunity to reflect on ways he can shore up his own vulnerabilities in life and to continue to learn and improve as a father, community member and leader.
About Ryan:
Ryan Michler is a father, Iraq Combat Veteran, and the founder of Order of Man. Ryan was raised without a permanent father figure and has seen first-hand how a lack of strong, ambitious, self-sufficient men has negatively impacted society. He believes many of the world's most complicated and challenging problems could be resolved if men dedicated themselves to becoming more capable husbands, fathers, businessmen, and community leaders.
His life's mission is to help men step more fully into their roles as protectors, providers, and presiders over themselves, their families, their businesses, and their communities. You can learn more at his website, Order of Man.
You can find Ryan on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/ryanmichler/. His two books, Sovereignty: The Battle For The Hearts And Minds Of Men and The Masculinity Manifesto: How A Man Establishes Influence, Credibility & Authority are where you buy books.
