Um coach Coach Schaefer, well, he um sadly passed away on July 4th this year.

Um he's been with us with the the youth program, the middle school program, the high school program since he was since he started wrestling.

I was the assistant coach before that, but um I I took over his junior year and you know, people don't I don't know if people don't realize people probably don't realize it and it's my fault for that, but he is such a huge part of where we're at now.

I needed to kind of help, you know, bring everybody along and buy into what what we were trying to do under a a new coaching staff and uh he did that and then right after high school he he started coaching for me.

Um and that next year was COVID here and and we had Michael Douglas in the room at heavyweight and he needed a partner, so I asked asked uh Will to come back and coach for us right away and and he did and you know he never he never left that that room.

Um he's like I said, he's one of the biggest, if not the biggest, because of where he started as a wrestler and then transitioning to the coach of of influence of where we're at today.

And uh I think that was what made him most happy is watching our beginner kids, you know, wa get those little successes and and seeing them improve.
