Space-based solar power is no longer science fiction—it’s happening now. And the implications for defence, energy resilience, and global power dynamics are enormous.
As the race for energy dominance intensifies, traditional terrestrial infrastructure may not be enough to meet the strategic demands of tomorrow’s military and industrial systems. That’s where Space Solar comes in—pioneering new frontiers in how we harvest and beam energy from orbit.
In this episode of Tech Command Investing, we sit down with Sam Adlen, CEO of Space Solar, to explore how this cutting-edge startup is developing game-changing technology to capture solar energy in space and transmit it wirelessly back to Earth. Sam breaks down the mechanics behind the concept, the challenges in scaling, and why this technology could offer an unprecedented tactical advantage—especially in remote or contested environments.
We discuss the global implications of space-based power, how it could redefine supply chain independence, and why governments and defence agencies are already taking notice. Sam also shares insights into investor appetite, deep-tech funding challenges, and how Space Solar is navigating one of the most capital-intensive and high-stakes arenas in the world.
With global tensions rising and energy security becoming a central theme of geopolitics, this episode is essential listening for those tracking the intersection of cleantech, space innovation, and defence strategy.
