What do the relationships in your life reveal about your heart?
It’s easy to read the story of Saul, Jonathan, and David and start looking for the “Sauls” and “Jonathans” around us. But what if Scripture is asking us to turn the mirror around?
In this episode of Scripture Adventures, we walk through 1 Samuel and look at how fear, insecurity, faith, and trust in Yahweh shaped the relationships between these three men. Saul grasped for control. Jonathan loved with open hands. And David reminds us that even a heart devoted to God sometimes needs to be strengthened, redirected, and brought back to Yahweh.
We’ll talk about celebrating others without competing, receiving godly correction, and becoming the kind of friend who strengthens someone’s hand in God.
And apparently Minnie Pearl had a few thoughts of her own. My sweet girl makes a special guest appearance during this episode that is sure to make you laugh a little!
