EP02 - Works In Progress: Craft, Consistency & Community (feat. Trex2004)

In this episode of the Scribbler's Sanctuary Podcast, we sit down with Trex2004, a consistent Inkitt writer who's quickly made waves in the Scribbler's Sanctuary community.

We talk about:

• Writing while still "in progress"
• Consistency vs perfection
• Showing vs. Telling (How to Avoid Info Dumping)
• Community-driven growth for writers
• Crafting scenes that pull double duty

We also break down a short writing technique segment, referencing articles and authors that help sharpen description and narrative momentum.

This Week's Challenge Prompt:

In the year 2134, humanity has colonized Mars and built thriving cities under protective domes. One day, a signal is received from the edge of the solar system. It’s a distress call from a ship that disappeared 50 years ago, before Mars was even colonized. The message is simple: “We found something. It’s coming.” As the signal repeats, a shadowy object is detected moving towards Mars, at a speed that defies current technology. You are part of a special team tasked with uncovering what happened to the ship and preparing for the unknown entity’s arrival.
