SELLEST OSAST
Seventy percent of retailers have inventory accuracy problems every week or every month. Now AI shopping agents are about to promise customers products those stores can't find. This week on Retail Reality Check, host Claire walks through five stories that show agentic commerce moving from keynote slide to checkout lane.
Constructor launched Agentic Checkout with Stripe inside its onsite shopping agent. Walmart joined OpenAI's virtual try-on in ChatGPT from day one. Gap is rolling out conversational shopping and preparing to sell inside Google's AI Mode and Gemini. Rutter's is unifying convenience, foodservice and fuel on NCR Voyix, and Schloss Elmau cut reservations administration by 50% with Oracle OPERA Cloud. Each story comes with the IHL Group research behind it.
Then a lightning round covers Snowflake, DoorDash, Albert Heijn, Kroger, McDonald's and more. The episode closes with one question: when an AI agent promises your customer a product, can your store deliver it?
