SELLEST OSAST
In this episode of TBLI Radical Truth, we sit down with Nadine B. Hack, CEO of beCause Global Consulting and internationally recognised pioneer of Strategic Relational Engagement (SRE™) — a proprietary framework that has turned adversaries into allies across some of the world's most complex and high-stakes situations.
She got loggers to work with environmentalists. She got AIDS activists to work with companies they were boycotting. And Nelson Mandela trusted her enough to say: "When I was in prison it was very good to know that I had powerful friends like Nadine Hack working on behalf of South Africa's freedom."
In this episode:
- How cultivating deep, trust-based relationships fundamentally improves your work — and your results
- The real obstacles you face in sustaining meaningful relationships across silos, sectors, and even adversarial divides
- Why the effort to overcome those challenges is always worth it — and what the data and decades of practice prove
- Why engagement leadership is the critical missing skill in 21st century business and investing
- How SRE™ helps organisations connect to their core purpose, bridge internal silos, and build trust with external stakeholders
- What Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., and the Ubuntu philosophy teach us about the power of connectedness in leadership
- Why younger generations are demanding relational, not transactional, leadership — and what that means for the future of organisations
The key insight: Culture eats strategy for breakfast. And relationships are the foundation of culture. Until leaders invest in deep, sustained, trust-based engagement — with allies and adversaries alike — no strategy, governance framework, or ESG policy will deliver its full potential.
