SELLEST OSAST
EPISODE OVERVIEW
Duration: Approximately 38 minutes
Best For: Trapped entrepreneurs who keep skipping the meal, the rest, and the help because the business won't run without them
Key Outcome: A simple way to reset yourself in seconds, plus the honesty to know which lane is yours and which work belongs to someone else
David Chametzky built a 30 year career, walked away from it, and felt great. Six weeks later he found out his heart was 98% blocked.
THE BOTTOM LINE
You know what you should be doing. You have mirrors in your house, as David puts it. The thing is, knowing it and feeling the urgency are two different animals, and most business owners only get the urgency when something breaks. David got home late, ate the quickest thing he could find, told himself wellness wouldn't touch him, and nearly paid for it with his life. In this conversation he shares the reset he teaches executives and top athletes, a way to calm your fight or flight in 10 to 15 seconds without leaving your chair. He talks about staying in your lane when every problem looks like an opportunity, and why the smartest move you can make is to stop being the smartest person in the room. If you have built yourself a job you cannot quit, this one will land.
WHY THIS EPISODE MATTERS TO YOU
You are running in fight or flight most of the day, and every decision still goes through you. David explains why that state makes your choices worse, and how to switch it off in seconds so you can think clearly again.
You keep skipping your own health to keep the business moving. David thought he was fine too. His story is the wake up call you can have without the hospital bed.
You chase every shiny opportunity because you can see how to fix it. David calls this out plainly, and shows what happens when you pick one lane instead of four.
If you carry on the way you are, the cost is not just tiredness. It is the meal you grab in the car, the rest you feel guilty taking, and the day your body decides for you.
KEY INSIGHTS YOU CAN IMPLEMENT TODAY
The reset button you already half use. Rub your hands together in a circular motion for 10 to 15 seconds and add slow breathing. David calls it the Havening touch. It starts generating the brain waves you use when you sleep, which is why high performers do it without realising. Use it before a tough call and you make the decision from a calmer place.
Think quicker by being slower. David trains people to practice the pause. When you remove the panic from a decision, the decision gets easier. For a trapped entrepreneur whose whole day is decisions, that pause is the difference between reacting and choosing.
Know your lane. David can change a flat tyre. He will not start rebuilding the engine, because that is not his strength. Most owners burn hours doing work that belongs to someone else. The freedom comes from naming what is genuinely yours and handing the rest over.
Eat the frog first. David starts the day with a meditation, a few gratitudes, then the one task he least wants to do. Get the worst thing out of the way while you have energy, and the rest of the day runs downhill.
Make your health a non negotiable, not a calendar entry. David's point is sharp. Putting it on the calendar is the easy part. Doing it is where everyone gets stuck. A meal in your house tonight beats a meal grabbed in the car at nine.
