This powerful reflection on Surah Al-Hajj (22:77-78) from Iqbal Nasim, recorded at the Makers Conférence 2026, explores faith, humility, prayer, striving for Allah, and the role of Muslims as witnesses for humanity. In a time of confusion and rapid change, the talk presents a framework for a true spiritual renaissance rooted in worship, service, and connection to Allah.
📖 Surah Al-Hajj 22:77-78 “You who believe, bow down, prostrate yourselves, worship your Lord and do what is good so that you may be successful.
Strive for Allah as much as He deserves; He has chosen you, and laid upon you no hardship in the faith, the way of your forefather Abraham. He named you ‘the ones who submit’ before [in previous scripture] and in this [revelation], so that the Messenger may be a witness over you, and so that you may be witnesses over humanity. So establish prayer, pay the alms-tax and hold fast to Allah. He alone is your Guardian. What an excellent Guardian, what an excellent Helper!”
