Jack Moore: Welcome to More to Consider, Jack and Charles. Please like, subscribe, listen to what we're saying. I don't think we're saying what everyone else is saying. Like it or spike it. Do what you want to with it, but we're trying to have general discussions because Charles and I believe that some of what we're saying, more people are thinking, and they're not getting it from anybody else. ⁓ we just did a show on the whole Fauci dust up, and I'm saying I think there's there's another whole lane of discussion. So we're gonna get into imagine this.
Charles: Mm.
Jack Moore: A discussion that Charles pointed out to me that he found on X. Young woman on the street with the microphone, public opinion, sticks the microphone in front of a young male and says, Trump a patriot or is he a traitor? And the man basically says, not a fan of Trump, voted for Trump, but at now, in retrospect, not so happy with it. Somebody yells in the back, so you're a Democrat. No, I'm not a Democrat either. Very similar to what Tucker Carlson came out and said. So we went into the show, and I don't know that it plays so well on podcasting, we have been looking for this show to be very much like barbershop, sports bar, getting around a group of people and talking like people do about certain subjects with some degree of background or expertise in certain fields. We know some things more than others, but think there's a lot of on because here's the thing too, I gotta say. Every time I get out of my car. Wahwa, 7-Eleven, whatever. I see people that don't look like me, they come from entirely different backgrounds. Hey, brother, what's up? How you doing? Every day. Every day. Good people. I think there's a lot of good people out there. And I think they're frustrated as hell. And I think a big part of it is they keep wondering. And I and I say that point to say, I don't think in a lot of ways we're more divided than ever. I think there's division in the bullshit we see.
Charles: Yes.
Jack Moore: That is projected upon us. It's part of the bread and circuses to me. It's the entertainment. It's worldwide wrestling. That's the kind of shit we're seeing. But I love this guy. He loves me. We fight. We argue about shit all the time. I mean, you know, in a good way, but I love this guy. I'd do anything in the world and he'd do the same for me. So we're who we are and we run into people that think like we do a lot, but we don't hear our voices, I think, a lot in the common discussion. Charles, how are you, my brother?
Charles: Yes. Yep. No. I'm doing all right, man. Doing all right. I agree with you a hundred percent on that.
Jack Moore: So you mm go ahead. Go ahead.
Charles: The only time you're ever gonna know that there are other people that think like you is you really go to talk to them yourself. In in most cases. Excuse And what you just said, you know, was just having a conversation earlier today with a group of people that I've known for a long time. And initially we but then once we our opinions and you with with facts stuff like that, we came to the conclusion that, we're a lot more
Jack Moore: Mm-hmm.
Charles: like minded than we thought. But you only watch TV, especially the and they do it if it bleeds, it leads. They would much prefer have us at each other's throats because it benefits them when it comes to ratings. R Fox on the right, whatever MSNBC is called now the left. ⁓ Yeah, it's that's what they'd have. The last thing they want is for us to say
Jack Moore: Yeah. And everything else on the left, yeah.
Charles: Excuse me. There's this there's this picture in. a meme. I wish I could find it. I'll have to look and maybe can post it along with the show. ⁓ Where a guy it's a guy with a with a shotgun his hand he's got on a wife t shirt and he's got a handkerchief with a on on the handkerchief in his back pocket he's right beside a black guy with dreadlocks
Jack Moore: Mm-hmm.
Charles: And and he's got like a a pistol in his hand and you know he's got the sagging pants or whatever. And two them are giving each you know, the the bro handshake thing and it's saying ⁓ they want to us together, but the last thing they want is for us to be doing it together. I'm sorry, let me up. They want to keep us apart, ⁓ but the last thing want us to do is to realize we can do it together. And it's true. ⁓ It's ⁓ Yeah.
Jack Moore: Keep us apart. Right. Well, you talked about the hunt club thing where you were doing the hunt club with other people who were black. and then along come these guys that are white and with their shotguns and camouflage and everything, turns out you guys unite on the fact that you're all veterans and have been doing some type of get together thing ever since, correct? They're like they they come up with and you told me you're like, Hey, who the menacing white guys coming up with the firearms? And then it's like, ⁓ okay.
Charles: Right. Yeah.
Jack Moore: They find out you guys are veterans and they're veterans, and next thing you know, you guys are united. So you're you're united around weapons and military service, I mean, and the brotherhood of man, but I'm just saying it's interesting ⁓ exactly. But I'm saying, but there there is a degree of you are united. And you know, it's look, it's what I've said so much about my background in sports. And
Charles: Well y yeah, it kinda s th that was the icebreaker.
Jack Moore: Everybody knows because I say it all the time. I grew up I grew up in a high school. I was actually talking to a friend the other day and I showed my high school football team picture. I'd forgotten the numbers. I think it was 37 black guys and five white guys. And then basketball team, we'd have a white guy about every three years play. Baseball was always eight and eight black eight white eight white guys, eight black guys. That's just that's the school I grew up in. So one of the things you learned early on, and I learned it in football. You'd have a black guy take out a black guy on the other team for you. You know what I mean? They were like, it was it was us against them. And w I know it sounds cliche and all the rest, but I came from a different era, but there wasn't any like, ⁓ well, I won't block the black guy on the other team because he's my brother and he's black. No, no, Jack's white guy, he's with me. So they didn't care about not only do we not care about it, you understood the culture of sports. And like a sport like basketball, it's a predominantly black sport. ⁓ I said it, but let's face it.
Charles: Right. Right. Mm.
Jack Moore: If you're gonna play the sport, you're gonna run in a culture that if you're white, you're gonna have to kind of agree to what the culture is, and it just it just is. And so what you find is in sports, where I'm going is if when Jackie Robinson for scored his first run in 1947, you know how many runs the Dodgers got? They got one run. They didn't get three-fifths of a run. didn't get three fifths.
Charles: Okay. That's interesting. Wow.
Jack Moore: They didn't get some, yeah, they didn't get some like, ⁓ well, it was a black guy that scored. And after a while, who came to his defense? The white guys. Now, a lot of that dynamic, I know we're going off into race here, but a lot of that dynamic, a lot of the reason white guys didn't want the league integrated was they'd lose their job. They knew there were black players better than them. So naturally it was like if I'm in an all-white league and I'm a white guy and I'm a bench guy and I'm at the very end of the roster. I might not want them to integrate. You know, it's all selfish type of things. But what I'm saying is when you grow up in sports and you grow up in integrated sports, you learn that you pull from the same end of the rope and their run counts just as much as yours does, theirs does, and everything else. You have a different perspective. You've been in the military. I've had many guys that I knew in the military. Black kid in particular, I coached in college baseball. Coach, I was the biggest racist ever. I grew up in DC. I was slinging drugs. Judge finally said, hey,
Charles: Yeah.
Jack Moore: You want to keep your ass out of jail, put you in the military. First day, got in fight with a white guy. I'm in Iraq two years later. White guys are saving my life. All my views on race coach. I didn't like Whitey when I was 14. And I love this kid. And he said, get your ass in the military, get your situation in harm's way, and then you have people that don't look like you defending your life. See it different. Everything changes. So
Charles: Yeah, you can see it.
Jack Moore: We have these experiences that change our experiences, but you're right. The apparatus wants to keep us divided and they use every viral story they can to go look at Whitey, he's racist, it's a white supremacy country, da da da da da da da da all that kind of stuff. But that's not what you and I live on the ground. Go talk to me.
Charles: Yes. Yeah. Yeah. O or Or on the opposite end, all black people are bad. could go either way. ⁓ always something ⁓ divide people, always something. They never t really talk about the things that actually ⁓ that unite us or we c we share as common ⁓ philosophy. I it be nice if dollars only cared people's race. it doesn't. So there's white
Jack Moore: Yes. ⁓ absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Charles: There's poor black people, there's poor Hispanic people, this poor Asian people. doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. We all have the same struggles. That's last thing they want us to to understand, that we all have the same struggles. Because if ⁓ realize that all have the same struggles, we start asking that wait a second here, ⁓ who's causing struggles? That's a they want that.
Jack Moore: Yeah. Yes. Or I think there's a certain degree of, all right, let's face it. I heard this growing up. I heard somebody in political analysis say, if a government, I mean sorry, if a political party is based around, you got it bad. You got it bad, and I'm going to identify all the people that keep that keep you down, right? Where am I going to need you four years from now?
Charles: voting. Voting them. So they can you can solve their problems.
Jack Moore: And and and where am I gonna need okay. So if if all right, let's do this just go back to the beginning of the century, which actually is 2001, but let's say it's 2000, 2000 election. I said, Charles, you got it bad, brother. You know, you're of a certain complexion and you're from a certain region and you're from a certain, you know, working class, boy, right? You got it bad. Vote for me and I'm gonna take care of everything. ⁓ four. You better not have it any better, really, right? Because I gotta come back and say,
Charles: Right. Yep.
Jack Moore: Brother, you're still in the same conditions, and it's still the man. And I'm pointing out who the man is, and I'm the man for you to vote for. It's ⁓ eight. And there were people that were like, they're still trying to bring me off the plantation. I'm still waiting for the Union Army or whatever. I mean, I say that from racials, but you know what I'm saying is constantly. Or, you know, that you're you're waiting for something to bring you across the desert. You're wandering in the desert for 40 years, whatever the thing is. The politician has a vested interest in continuing to say, I'm your savior.
Charles: All right. It's crazy. Yeah, thish.
Jack Moore: And if you buy into that, so you and I come from a different standpoint. We've skewed libertarian for whatever reasons and influences. And I think a lot of it's because we had good parents. We have, you know, we or what we just ran into certain kind of circles. And you're just very independent guy. so we come to conclusions like, no, no, no, how about this? Government stay hell the out that stay the hell out of our lives. Why don't you just leave us to be free to trade to mutual satisfaction with like minded individuals and do our own thing? Right. That's we're not looking for the government to save us. So we go ahead. Yeah.
Charles: Well I I got one other thing. One other thing about the distraction. you see ⁓ it yesterday the day before the video of all the Moroccans going allegedly crossing a border illegally in Spain? Did see that?
Jack Moore: Yeah. I I saw a lot about what was going on there, but yeah, talk to me specifically about which one.
Charles: So now I'm just wondering, what did you hear about it?
Jack Moore: What did I hear about this whole border crossing? I heard a lot of it was invited.
Charles: Yes. I I just read something earlier today Spain had turned that part of Morocco, or should I say that island over to Morocco.
Jack Moore: Mm-hmm.
Charles: So technically that wasn't Spain any longer. It was Morocco. They weren't weren't invading Spain, but you looked at the news, especially Fox News, they said, look, the ⁓ Muslims or the other Muslims are invading Spain. ⁓ We can't have ⁓ And that wasn't the case. That was no longer And ⁓ Thomas Massey had put on X. ⁓
Jack Moore: Mm-hmm. Cry. That's true. That that's how it was spun, yeah.
Charles: yesterday about this he's like wait a minute in the Senate voted on this like me either two weeks or two months ago for this know giving the green light for Morocco to get this land ⁓ and now
Jack Moore: Now when you say that wait a minute, he's in the house. So are you saying he wasn't a part of that vote that it was voted on in the Senate? But he was in is in the House. Okay. Okay. Gotcha.
Charles: I'm sorry, it was it was a house. It was a house. Yeah, th they essentially they voted to to green light what had happened, now the same people that voted for it are like, ⁓ my gosh, ⁓ invading Spain. That's of the problem. That's it exactly part of the problem.
Jack Moore: All right, we're kind of fluctuating back between the general and specific. We were very general that you got specific on that. No, but let me say this. We we were gonna start on this show today. Again, we pass information back and forth. So on X, there's a little girl on the street asks the question, Trump, traitor or patriot. The kid goes, and as I said, he goes into the failings of Trump. I voted for Trump, he's failed me in this way, and he seems to be led around by his nose by another nation, which we'll discuss. Then in the comments there was a lot of Trump, Trump, Trump, bad, bad, bad. I voted for him. He's a disappointment. But the kid was like, I think he kind of backed up a little bit on the trader language. He goes, but he is a disappointment. And it and it brought up a lot of reaction. I threw this out to Charles before we got started. I've been watching Sean Ryan, former Navy SEAL, I think interesting guy. I think kind of a everyday guy. I mean, in a lot of ways. And he talks about like a lot of SEALs, kind of wanted to prove something to myself. I didn't know if I'd make it through the training, but I kind of in the back of my mind thought I could and I did, you know, and I achieved it. You know, he talks about all the things that I've heard SEALs talk about. I know nothing about SEALs other than the ones I've known, but it's kind of like, yeah, really tough training. Really low percentage of people make it through. different reasons why people don't, but they do. They get, I mean the ones that do become SEALs got through it.
Charles: Yes.
Jack Moore: So he gets through it and he does service time. He does in different theaters and all this stuff. And now he's on with Tucker Carlson the other day. And Tucker Carlson said, Man, dude, you've really been kind of through some spiritual awakening, this type of thing. And I think it has a lot to do with his faith in Christianity. But he said he had this dark moment where he felt like Jesus had like led him into some touch of hell. I never want to go back there again. I can't get over it. This feeling of total isolation and loneliness. I always thought Hell has a lot to do with the separation of God and you're aware of every moment. Like I heard a guy once say, and this is what I think heaven is versus hell, it's an awareness of time.
Charles: Well h hold on though, hold on, but you have to understand the context in which he was describing that. He was
Jack Moore: I'm sorry. let me all right. I got off into another thing about my heaven or hell, but reg regards, what I wanted to say is Ryan, and let's get into that. But Ryan was saying, I got this touch of hells the way I heard him say it. And then he said, It's made me more and more examine what I'm doing as a podcaster. I'm kind of turned off to politics because I'm starting to come to the realization we as people looking for leaders to be anything other. than the same leader over and over, kind of spoiling the soup and not making anything any better. I'm out of that. I'm out of the political realm. I'm more into the spiritual realm. But I'm sorry, you were gonna say about what I said about his take on things.
Charles: Yes. Well, he was talking about his ayahuasca experience.
Jack Moore: Tell tell tell everybody more.
Charles: So he went through ⁓ ayahuasca experience whereas you're I'm not exactly a a I'm not expert on this, not by a long shot you might want to refer to to Joe Rogan. But it's it's a that have through mostly in America where they mix up all these roots and barks leaves and all kinds of stuff ⁓ and it gives you a h a hallucinogenic experience.
Jack Moore: Right.
Charles: Now one of the interesting things about this is unbelievably high rate of curing addiction. Whether be alcohol addiction or drug addiction, the the is unsurpassed by anything ⁓ on the planet far. ⁓ And he decided go through it. Not that he's he was addicted, well, he used to be alcoholic and he's done drugs. He he talked about this, you know, on a regular basis, but he said he to go through it and he went through it.
Jack Moore: Mm-hmm.
Charles: And he said, That's the closest to hell that he's ever been. it got him to look at things a different, a different way. ⁓
Jack Moore: That's the part I heard him say. Yeah. And I I did hear him say something along the nature of I felt like Jesus let me get this close to it. So I'd never want to get near it again. And let me just say real quick what I was saying about that. I've had kind of a thing about time all my life, because I think no matter how happy you think your circumstances, you realize it's running out. When my parents lived in ninety two and ninety one, when my dad passed, I'm like, he's gone.
Charles: Yeah. Yeah.
Jack Moore: He lived 92 years and 92 sounds great. But I remember asking him on his 90th birthday. I said, Dad, does time seem to he was jackets a blur? And I'm realizing at my age, will see something and go, ⁓ my God, that was 10 years ago. When you're 20, 10 years ago, you were a kid. You were 10, you know, and you were like, 10 years ago is a lifetime ago. Then you get to a certain age and you realize, man, time is really flying. And I saw a guy that had a near Death experience, or he had the cross the line experience. And he was a Christian, newly Christian, newly saved. And he's and he he gave the whole there's a guy in a robe, there's a light, of that. And then he survives it, or he is brought back from it. And the guy said, You had newly become a Christian, you saw the Jesus, and he goes, I realized it wasn't my time. He goes, What was the first sensation he felt? He goes, No time. No I felt time had ⁓ did longer existed.
Charles: Mm-hmm.
Jack Moore: I was just a being. I was in the moment of now. And then I thought, what would be the greatest hell? Whatever it is, time remains. And at every moment you're aware that it's never going to end. Think about it. That would be the greatest hell. Right. So I was catching some of that vibe from Ryan, but when Tucker pushed him on, what was it? He goes, loneliness, isolation.
Charles: Yeah, I I agree.
Jack Moore: I'm so far. He didn't mention the time element, but I've always thought there can't, I don't care how hot the furnace, I don't care how many demons and the rest. The worst hell would be, to me, imaginable, you're in the separation. I say from God, but you're separated from all righteousness and goodness, and you're sitting there knowing is never going to end. This is and I'm aware of it. I'm aware of it. And again,
Charles: Right.
Jack Moore: You would think the greatest heaven or sensation would be, I'm just here. It's just now. There's never two weeks the mortgage is due, two weeks my friend dies. It's just like, you know, there is no weeping, no suffering, no cry, you know, that kind of thing. So I was always thought one of the major dynamics between eternal hell eternal life salvation or being on the right side of that division is time.
Charles: Right.
Jack Moore: So I bro, but bring up Sean Ryan because he was making the point. He got into podcasting. He certainly talked about his military experience, his addictions. He's talked about a lot of things. I just think he's a neat guy to listen to. But he said the other day, I've come to the conclusion, talking about the politics of this and the individuals that represent is just dead end. None of them are the savior. They're just not. Which gets us back to discussion with these friends.
Charles: Mm-hmm. Yes. Yeah. No, they're not.
Jack Moore: And where it went, it like many of these discussions goes to where people are 18, 20 months out, approaching, I guess, almost two years of the last Trump election and where people's disappointment level is. What does America first even mean anymore? Another question, I'll throw out a series here. Where what are people thinking about where they are with Trump from two years ago when they were in the midst of voting for him? where we are now with their feelings on that. Has the Democratic has the Democrat Party rebounded at all? Do we seem like we're out of options? Is America first still a movement? But get back to your discussion. Where did that discussion go with these figures that you're saying are different on a gradation scale with or without Trump? Where where'd it go?
Charles: Well, we ended up on a whole lot of things. And was everybody's outlook s gonna this. There were people who heard say America first. I'm sorry, not people who heard him. Everybody heard him say America first. people on the left were like, we just don't believe you. people on right were like, Well, we do ⁓ you. ⁓
Jack Moore: Let me ask you this though. Don't you think people on the left more heard racist? Like America first meant something Nazi in their mind, nationalism. You know, we're not we're not among the people of the world. You you wanted to be separate and and apart or something. Don't you think that's a lot of it too? From like okay, g you keep going. Yeah.
Charles: Some I I some. don't think it was ⁓ don't think it was that many though, but that's what they pushed in the media that was all racist stuff. Because that's what they want, you know, it it doesn't help to actually talk about the issues. ⁓ And ⁓ talked the issues today and strangely enough, it be how the farmers are hurting right now, how because of
Jack Moore: Right. ⁓ yeah. Yes. Sure. Okay.
Charles: The tariffs then the next question was well hold on wait a second. We're about the tariffs on the coming from China. Why don't we make it here? ⁓ And when it came to the farmers, I d I couldn't my friend's sister said this. She's like, Why are we sending grain stuff like that over there and our farmers we're paying our farmers here not to grow anything? Why can't we just use it
Jack Moore: Mm-hmm.
Charles: And we won't have to worry about the t the terrorists. I'm like, yeah, I agree with you. So we're actually talking the same issue from both sides the philosophical aisle, if you want to call it that, ⁓ and realizing it's the government causing this. And it didn't just two years ago. And my sister had to yeah, this has been going on for long time. And I said, Yeah, that's why I keep saying that they're all the same. There's no difference.
Jack Moore: Yeah.
Charles: But they just want you to think that it's a difference. And it like I this I think this is where you're going here. keep putting your faith in people to solve problems like that, you're gonna be disappointed each time you Yeah.
Jack Moore: Right. Right. Right. Yeah. Yeah, and that is what I heard him saying. And I don't know it's that unique to some other people coming to the same revelation. I n I've never wanted to sound like, especially in doing these podcasts, ⁓ I'm different guy, you know, but it's true. I ⁓ this what I said to you weeks ago when we got into this whole discussion. I only vote against people. I I take a measure and if I see the if I see The evils being or potential for evil being somewhat equal, like, well, screw it. I'll sit back and see what happens. There's only been at certain times that I've felt so compelled to even vote. And that would be there's bad, but that seems especially bad. And I know I made this point. Having seen the videos, and they still exist, you can find them where Nancy Pelosi's like, well, it's not like we can mandate the vaccine. And Joe Biden's saying, well, it's not like we can actually make people take the shot. And six weeks later, when he gave that speech, not to say I was ever a big fan of Joe Biden in the first place, but when he gave that speech and he said, Some of you out there aren't doing this that we require. Okay. And our patience is running thin. That patience, I'm like, who the are you to say your screw you? Like, you're gonna mandate that somebody take a jab now? You go, you know, 48 months later.
Charles: Mm-hmm.
Jack Moore: Lot of evidence would show that people have probably in have been gravely injured. You know, and then and there's always the people that were like, you know, their jobs were on the line. ⁓ screw, get another job. I'm like, well, it's not that simple. What about people that 10, 15 years like military service or something? ⁓ they got a dropout, missed their pension all because so once the government went to this was kind of my line. A lot of bad stuff. And I know a lot of worse stuff has gone on that we're just finding out and declassified declassified documents five decades later.
Charles: Yeah.
Jack Moore: But when they openly said, you must take this experimental drug, I'm like, I'm at a different level of fear of this now. Especially when yeah, go ahead.
Charles: Did you think that did you feel that they lied to you they led you astray?
Jack Moore: Well, this is this is what I find fascinating too, because kind of back to the Fauci segment we just did. Now they're saying he has had apparently, and I think didn't he divulge this also in his diary, that he had had sort bad outcomes from some of the vaccines. He was triple boosted, quadruple, but he's boosted every six weeks, wherever he could do, you know, some kind of strength.
Charles: And still got it.
Jack Moore: Not only did he get it, he's had some heart ailments or issues related potentially to the vaccine. And honestly, I'll be honest with you, I remember when Biden did that whole grinning, you know, pulling up his sleeve and Joe from Scranton and give me that shot, girl, you know, and somebody all masked up is sticking a needle in his arm. I was wondering, is that saline, you know, water? It I I did. I thought like he's doing it, yeah, get your jab too.
Charles: Mm-hmm. I won the same thing.
Jack Moore: And I had this discussion with my doctor. She was telling me the virtues of the shot and everything. And I said, Yeah, I'll take my chances. I've already had it. And I'm pretty sure I had it when no one else is really reporting it. She goes into like, ⁓ my God, if you knew how much danger, I said, Doc, doc, natural immunity, I'll take my chances. I don't want to do something I'm not sure about. ⁓ my God, but if you knew the danger and all, I'm like, damn, what the hell's happened to this? I this person that I, you know, I all of a sudden, and I said, Well, let me ask you this. Why do we have a presidential candidate? Well, at that time, it would have been vice presidential. I'm sorry. Why do we have a vice presidential candidate literally say, I would not take a Trump jab? I'm not doing it. I don't trust this man, blah, blah, blah. Six months later, she's on board to mandate it. Remember that? The same person that told us we couldn't trust the jab because it came from Trump, six months later, is saying not only can we trust it.
Charles: ⁓ yes. ⁓
Jack Moore: I recommend the government being involved in mandating it. And you know what she said? She goes, Well, that's just politics. I'm like, you're saying it's just politics. A figure that's running for has been nominated by a major political party for vice president of the United States is telling me at one turn, don't you take it? You should fear it because of this bad man. Six months later, they're in office and they're ready to mandate it. You don't find any kind of inconsistency in the message. So th it's at those points when I see politicians so blatantly do things like this. Again, I'm not believing in any of ⁓ I'm not believing in any of them, but they do show their hands at some level sometime. I'm like, okay, that's a degree of evil that I must vote against. I'm not voting for any of them, but I will vote against some, yes.
Charles: I can tell you there was a point defining point for me and was just looking it up. It was podcast. ⁓ It's the fiction podcast.
Jack Moore: Yeah. Yeah. I remember that one. I I haven't watched it in a while but I did like it, yeah.
Charles: Yeah. And there was one, it was was posted on August the thirteenth, twenty twenty one, and it's titled These Vaccines. ⁓ I listening to this one, ⁓ and guy's bringing it down. He's breaking down as to what is a vaccine and what is not, and he's reading from the C D C's own website in NIH and and definitions and so on and so forth. I'm like, Man, that's ⁓ that's a vaccine. regardless, regardless.
Jack Moore: Mm-hmm. Gene therapy.
Charles: We I wanna I want to ask you this question first. ⁓ it had to do with did think that Biden and and ⁓ Colison people that on that side were lying? W did they something that they knew wasn't true? Such as, we're not to mandate it and then they go and mandate it. ⁓ And you know.
Jack Moore: Yeah, yeah. That's quite that that's a great that's a great question, but I will say this as to the and or effectiveness or or efficacy of the vaccine, I don't think Kamala Harris had any idea. I don't think she could have, you know. So when she said, I ain't taking no Trump vaccine, I can tell you that. Who the hell knows that whether sh what she thought of it? And six months later, when they're talking mandate.
Charles: No, I I don't think
Jack Moore: I think some powers shifted because again, Nancy Pelosi was being asked about mandating it in Congress. And she goes, Well, it's not like, or not only Congress, I mean, I think nationally. She goes, It's not like we can actually pass a law and make everybody get vaccinated. Biden, in front of a microphone, was asked the same thing. He goes, Come on, come on. It's not like we can tell everybody they have to be. Six months later, they're literally trying to mandate it. So don't think. I think they're soulless people. I don't think they do anything other than what they're told to do. And if and some some political shift indoor powers formed told Biden ⁓ no, no, no. You are gonna go out there and mandate it. This is what you're gonna do.
Charles: Okay. So go back to the kid or the young guy we were just talking about that was being interviewed out on the street. of the things he brought up was Trump no new wars. And then went and did it. ⁓ Some of don't find a difference between what Biden was saying, ⁓ we're not gonna mandate it and then they they may ⁓ Yeah.
Jack Moore: Yeah. ⁓ I'm not disagreeing. I'm not disagreeing, but this is post second in this is in the second term. All all I'm saying is in twenty okay, let's go back to twenty sixteen. It it was Trump or or Hillary. I thought Tr I thought Hillary was sort of a unique evil. Who the hell knows? She may have been so in bed in the establishment. She may have played no different than
Charles: Yeah.
Jack Moore: you know, Bush or Clinton or Obama, or if it had been McCain or if it had been Gore, like all of all the players are the same, right? They just some win, some lose. Maybe she wouldn't have been any different. Maybe she would have been uniquely evil. Who knows? But Trump wins. Then you start to see the whole apparatus line up against Trump, two impeachments, all the rest of the mess we saw. Which I do think the timing of COVID was kind of interesting. Spring of 2020 and ⁓ we got an election coming up. So then whatever happens with 2020, then whatever happens on January 6th, then whatever happens of four years of lawfare, Trump's in court, facing 700 years, whatever. And he gets and gets shot at, whatever that was, you know. So we have all of this stuff we all live through. So when we get to the election of 2024, Biden clearly in that what June of 2024 debate shows truly he doesn't know where he is. ⁓ so at that point, the Democrats have to punt, they go to Kamala, right, wrong, or otherwise. and an election. And I do think a lot of people thought, thank goodness, breath of fresh air, Trump's back in office. Now we can finish the job, clean out the swamp and the rest. He hadn't done that. He has not done that. But I don't think you can blame, like when you say, what about that kid saying or you were looking post 2025, January 20. Nobody knew he was going to go this route. it been a disappointment? Yes. But nobody no nobody nobody knew it.
Charles: This is the point I was making to my friend. is the point I was making to my friend earlier today, as a matter of fact, and war the the the example that I use. And she's But everybody knew that he lies. I said, Well, ⁓ that's not the case ⁓ because in first he said, I wasn't gonna start any new wars and he didn't. So now his second ⁓ he's while he's campaigning, not gonna start any more any new wars, but you did. ⁓
Jack Moore: Mm-hmm. Agree.
Charles: So calling him a liar too now. Because told us you got to vote for you the second time because ⁓ the time didn't do it. You said you weren't do it and you didn't do it. ⁓ So we expect you do that the second time because you said, well, I'm not gonna do it and then you do it. And a lot of people turning their backs on you because you said you weren't gonna do it and you just did it. You're no better than the rest them now. We know better.
Jack Moore: Y okay. I don't disagree with any of that. And I think looking back at Trump's first term wasn't so bad. I mean, wasn't the gas flirting with two dollars a gallon and the economy was running well and and this is probably the one hundred and fourteenth time I've said this, but maybe there's a new viewer that hasn't heard this. One of the things that always stuck out in my mind is that Christmas of twenty nineteen, like I remember it like it was yesterday. I ought to try to go find this clip. Maybe I can, maybe I can't, but
Charles: Yeah.
Jack Moore: There was a certain media outlet, three letters, and they're two very pretty people, pretty guy, pretty girl. They're talking. And girl says, stock market through the roof, gas prices at this, housing rates are up, you know, new home ownership, you know, whatever. All this stuff is good, all skewing good. And she basically, in so many worlds, like, son of a bitch. How the hell do we get this guy out of office? She's like, all these things are positive. And he gives this very Scooby-Doo sinister, like, you know, from the Scooby-Doo series, sort of like when they unveil the guy, he but you know, that it's that voice. And he's like, I don't know, all depends on if there's like a economic catastrophe. And brother, it was Christmas. I remember thinking, son of a bitch. They've tried impeachment, they've tried, they're getting ready to tank the economy. There's going to be a early spring surprise. There's something happening.
Charles: Mm-hmm. Not
Jack Moore: They're getting, I remember thinking, and then son of a gun, it's COVID. Bam, it's COVID. And as it was starting to happen, I'm like, this is to get Trump out of office. It has to be. Like, I mean, I just thought, like, the timing of this, all of a sudden everybody's like, and I would the first person I heard shutdowns was you. We were on the phone. I was out walking. I'd just gotten back from Florida. I went down to spring training. I saw Yankees, Red Sox. They didn't play the next day. Like I'm there last day and I'm heading up the road. I get home.
Charles: Mm-hmm.
Jack Moore: And I remember I was out running or walking, but I was on my headset, brother, what's up? And you were like, hey, Jack, they can really shut stuff down. What do you mean shut stuff down? You were like, there's gonna be governor's orders. Governor's orders? You talking about the same one that had the clan outfit and blackface? You picked that that guy? That guy that survived that guy that survived that. Remember, he survived that. You know, Megan Kelly said, What did Megan Kelly say? Like something like wearing a hot Halloween costume or something from a different culture.
Charles: Yeah. Yeah. Right. Right. Yes. Yeah.
Jack Moore: Is that wrong? Or I mean she she may have even said something about what about the, you know, what about the 10-year-old that was white that wanted to dress as Michael Jackson or something? You know, is any of this bad? You know, and then they pulled out the pictures of lots of celebrities in blackface, including Ted Danson, that did the whole thing when he was dating Whoopi Goldberg. None of that's wrong. But then Megan Kelly, if I'm not mistaken, she got fired over even bringing up the question, right? So we have a governor who.
Charles: Yes. Right.
Jack Moore: They got the goods on him. This was what he this was this medical yeah, it was medical schools. He's a VMI graduate and he was in medical school. And ⁓ yeah. Yeah, and they got the medical school pictures and they're like, Hey, who's the guy in blackface? Who's who's the guy in the clan outfit with the Confederate flag in the background? Like, I I don't know. I I that ended up in it's in your yearbook. It's like picture of you, picture of you, then the clans guys. What's going on? You know, ⁓ damn it. And and he survived it. He survived anyway.
Charles: He was in medical zone. Yeah, over in Norfolk. Ha ha ha Yes. Yeah. Yeah, why is your name under it? Yeah.
Jack Moore: So, but that guy starts issuing orders. And ⁓ by the way, I saw another business shutdown. I won't name any businesses, but there was a particular business during the mask masquerade, that. ⁓ during the mask thing, I went into this one place and guy had served me no mask, guy had served me no mask, going the third time within two weeks. And there's an elderly guy in there, and he goes, Hey, where's your mask? And I'm like, ⁓ look at the governor's order. I don't have to wear one.
Charles: Mm-hmm. The masquerade.
Jack Moore: And he goes, screw the governor's order. You know, I said, hey, dude, go home. Shit, if you're if that worries about your health, and we fight it out. I said, okay, you're making a decision here. I'm going to walk out the door and never shop here again, or I'm going to shop without a man. Get the hell out of here. Get out of here. Some from another region of the country. But anyway, he yells at me together. I'm like, okay, okay, that's fine. If that's how you want to do fine. Never went back. Never went back. Two years later, they were shut down.
Charles: Mm-hmm.
Jack Moore: I went into a certain type of pharmacy type of drugstore type of place. And I heard this girl in there, young lady, yelling at a woman to get a mask on. And I'm like, ⁓ shit, because I'm on another aisle. And I sneak around. Sir, Charles, you can't write this. Her mask on her face was right there. Okay? It was right here. All of this was exposed.
Charles: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Okay.
Jack Moore: Sir, you're gonna need to get a mask on. I'm like, you're gonna need to learn how to fashion one. You're gonna have to start doing some adjustments here, baby. Your your mouth is hanging out of it, but I I don't do that. And and then in the governor's order, in the executive order, it said, don't have to wear if you have respiratory problems, blah, blah, blah. Can't have you know, psychological issues. I'm like, hey, are you following the governor's order? I'm not gonna argue with about that. I'm like, well, I just gotta know what you're doing here. Are you doing this according to the governor's order? You're making up your own rules. Cause it like if you have a rule.
Charles: Right.
Jack Moore: That you've established your private business, knock yourself out. I'll just never shop here again, which I never did, and I was riding by it the other day, they're shut down. I don't know what that means, but I had a couple of run ins and those places eventually went out of business in that particular area. Do you think it had anything to do with the fact that they screwed with me on that? Or okay. Yeah, let's hope so. Let's hope so, but
Charles: Okay. Right. Yeah, I hope so. I hope that was the case that you have that much influence. Yeah. we've got to get back to the the kid. And th the kid kid is he's just a r a representation a larger issue. And there's lot people who are ticked off. And I think I this in the last podcast we talked about Fauci. I think that the ⁓
Jack Moore: Yeah, let's get back to the kid. Mm-hmm.
Charles: The Republicans like, okay, we gotta come up with something. We we gotta give the we gotta the the the base a bone because we're losing them. Hey, let's give Fauci. Okay, that's just not enough. It's it's not good enough. Yeah.
Jack Moore: I don't know that you're wrong there. I I think I I think that it's a solid analysis to say just think some things too follow a certain progression. And it was kind of Fauci time. They may have been keeping this in their holster, like, okay, when when things look bad enough for us or Trump is tanking enough, let's whip out Fauci because we can beat up on him. And there's no there's no downside other than the people that are skeptical, like you've been. Or the people that are like again, all the comments I saw and all the Fauci analysis was pretty much, Yeah, yeah, yeah, Republicans, nice sideshow. You're never gonna do anything about it. No one's gonna go to jail, so why are you wasting time? I I I think all that's true.
Charles: Yeah. I it's the other thing is are like so wanted to merge our intelligence agencies with who ⁓ with who? And all you Republicans voted for it? Really? Okay. Alright, we'll you the w or actually we won't see you in the in the the voting booths come We won't see you. That's w we don't agree with that. for some odd reason you just want to do it. Okay. Alright. Nice with the Fauci thing, but y'all I sure hope a whole bunch of y'all have some other jobs lined up. Well.
Jack Moore: You know, think Two, three months ago, maybe at least we're talking about the midterms, four months ago. It's now August. Yeah, would we have been talking about this in April, I'm sure. And we were both convinced at that time the Democrats are going to run the table. I'm not so sure anymore. I'm not. I'm I'm really no, I'm not because I don't think either either party's popular. I I really I don't know. I I don't know what's going to happen between now and November that might run it. I think.
Charles: You you're not? I don't know. But
Jack Moore: Look, I think this stuff going on in New York, I think the people skewing heavily socialism towards communism, I think it's really putting I think it's putting real poor spin on the Democrats. I think that they have to refashion and I think their refashion is going scary, like ⁓ too far left. I the Pelosi's and Schumers and all are aging out for God's sake. Yes. I mean, you know. Pelosi's been out of the picture for a while now. Did she stay on and serve, but not as how did she did she serve another term? Yeah. So whatever they're doing, like I but what what I'm saying is the the next line of Democrats, I'll put it this way again. I said it before. If they would come in with some degree of reasonable response, I think they'd have a prayer of maybe upsetting the apple cart, but they stick by too much bullshit. And I don't think.
Charles: Yes. Well
Jack Moore: I don't know what the impact level's gonna be. I couldn't grade it on this, but I don't think their responses to Fauci the other day did any kind of help. Other than like I said, Fetterman. I think Fetterman was kind of like, hey, I'm not real happy about what I've learned about Dr. Fauci and what things were. He didn't really attack him in the sense of Republicans, but he was very objective and fair to say, Sir, you don't have a very good record on this. But when the ones were going, Dr. Fauci. To be in your presence today is spiritual and I mean, shut the hell up, bit. I mean, there was just people that were just like over the top, ridiculously for Fauci. That's not a good look either. You you look out of touch. Go ahead.
Charles: Well I I understood, but the problem my when it comes to what the Democrats are gonna have to do, ⁓ they're not have to do anything. All they just to do is sit back and let ⁓ let the Republicans like they're doing. But also what the Republicans don't is that they could stop all of this stuff that's going on in New by doing something about it.
Jack Moore: Yeah. No, I don't okay.
Charles: Remember what happened to the Russians the early nineteen hundreds. The came through and was like Yeah, we like the way that the government is wasting our money. ⁓ They're fighting wars. You remember they were in the middle middle of World War I at the time, ⁓ and the are like, Why are you wasting our money with this stuff? And the Tsar like, yeah, because I have this agreement with somebody and th they're like that has nothing to do with us. We can't feed ourselves. starving.
Jack Moore: Mm-hmm.
Charles: We can't afford anything and you're worried about sending money over for war? you nuts? Same happening right now. And all Democrats have to do is just sit and let it happen again. Cause that's exactly what Republicans are doing. It's exactly what they're doing. They're they're not thinking about what's happening to everyday American, it be in the country or in the city. They're worried about something ten thousand miles
Jack Moore: It's interesting, isn't it? Well, but you rem but wasn't it like four or five months ago, Elizabeth Warren did a sit down with somebody and they were like, Hey, what's the strategy? It's twenty twenty six. You got Trump, you don't have the House and Senate, you got midterms coming up. And she said, We are gonna stop the worrying about who gets to play in what athletic event. We're gonna stop with all the domestic nonsense or all this stuff.
Charles: Look what happened to the Yeah. Yes.
Jack Moore: We well domestic in the sense of all the culture issues. Forget the culture issues. and Sally want to know what they're gonna put on the plate for their kids and can they pay the mortgage? And a lot of people are like, damn good message. Damn good message. I don't know that they're keeping up with that very well though.
Charles: Yeah, I agree with her. I agree. But but they're not saying anything. They don't have to say anything. Because the Republicans are literally doing it to themselves.
Jack Moore: Yeah, but they keep But all right, if I'm if I'm John Q. Democrat, some of them did this. I gotta get back to Fauci because it's a good it's a good point of illustration. Some of them went into dying the hill of Trump has done too much trimming of the government fat, and there's too many essential workers out in government and medicine and all the rest. Okay, it's a lane, but at least you got off you got off the worshiping of Fauci. ⁓
Charles: Yeah, of course.
Jack Moore: To claim that Trump is bad for medicine and the next pandemic's going to take everybody out because he's not prepared. Okay, fair. But I think that some of them, you know, they got five minutes. They're not going to ask him any questions. They're going to sit there and dote on him or move on. But another one might have been to say, why are we doing this today when now go and go. When American people want food on the table, they want the gas. You know, Trump promised better gas prices. Where is that? It's a chance to show boat, but. So many of them took the option of talking about how wonderful Fauci is. And I just think that No, I think they had a lot to do. Deshaws what I just said. I think that if you're if you're gonna do that, you can give them a nod, say, Fauci, thank you for your service. But why are we here today doing this? We should be trying. I'm just saying, because once you go down spending the five minutes kissing Fauci's ass, I don't think that plays well. I didn't think that.
Charles: They have nothing to lose by doing it. I don't know, I I agree with you. Yeah, I yes. Yeah. Well it doesn't play well on the right.
Jack Moore: I don't think it all right. Elizabeth Warren again. Elizabeth Warren says we gotta stop talking about girls being destroyed on the courts by guys. So yeah, we gotta we gotta get out for that, okay? We gotta get out of the swimming pool. We gotta start getting the guys out of the pool. You know, we gotta s America's sick of that shit. We're we're sick and tired of hearing about gender wars and and your pronouns. People are wanting to pay the bills. And when I heard her say that.
Charles: Yeah. Right. Yes.
Jack Moore: We've got to be the Democrat Party again, getting out of the culture wars. Fine. Fauci's part of the culture war. He really is. He's either a deity or he's a demon. And then you but but what I was saying is if I'm the Democrat in that situation, don't feed the narrative of we're batshit crazy and we're still supporting this guy. Take your chance, give him a nod, but then move on to say some things that make the party look sane. That's yeah. ⁓
Charles: Understood, but the Republicans call the hearings.
Jack Moore: Charles, you're right. I don't care if they call I know, but I don't care if they called the hearing or some Martian landed and called it. It's an opportunity to define the party as different than kissing the ass of the guy that a good portion of America knows took away their job, let their grandmother. Some of those stories, grandma died at the old folks' home, and people didn't get to hold her hand when she's dying. That's serious shit, my friend.
Charles: I mean I'm I' no I'm agreeing with you, Ray. I I'm agreeing with you. Dude, I agree a hundred percent on all that. No, I agree.
Jack Moore: And you don't want to be a Democrat getting on there and saying, but I forgive you of all, Anthony. For God's sake, we're all human. No bullshit on that. So don't take that point. What I'm saying is go to Dr. Fauci, thank you. Now move on and say something else. And some of them did. But I think you're a dying party if you take that chance and all you say is the Republicans are on a witch hunt, but here, let me kiss Fauci's ass some more. That's not a good move for me. That's all I'm saying.
Charles: I do Well no, I I think it's a bad move on both sides because the Republicans mean really, you argue from the opposite side of the ⁓ the ⁓ spectrum here, Republicans the same thing by even hearings when they should have been having hearings about how we're going to lower the cost things and so on and so forth. They didn't, they wasted on Fauci.
Jack Moore: No, I I I I I see your point on that. I do think though, I think being a a political analysis of of some degree of of accuracy for the base that wants the red meat, they were down with it. Go go poke Fauci around a little bit. There are gonna be some some that aren't the other side, like you and I, that would have looked at it as a big circle jerk and nobody cares. That you're wasting time. But The Republicans, by doing this and doing a little bit of shame to Fauci, I think gain something to neutral, maybe. There's some negativity. All I'm saying is in this environment, it was really, really stupid, I think, for Democrats to stand up for Fauci. Maybe you can flip it and think of another thing. Think of the most evil of Republican figures. I don't know, Dick Nick's. yeah, but Lindsey Graham.
Charles: Mm-hmm. Lindsay Graham.
Jack Moore: didn't die that disgraced as far as his position. So maybe it would have been I don't know. Let
Charles: He didn't? he did, man.
Jack Moore: He wasn't voted, he wasn't voted out of office. He wasn't censured. He I all right. I know I can't say that around you. What I'm saying is that that I was going to use Nixon because if the Republicans were in there, if the Democrats wanted to do some type of shit on Nixon type of movement, it's 50 years ago, it's a bad example, but Republicans were on there defending the way he handled Watergate for. Give me a better example. Oliver North, I don't know.
Charles: ⁓ understood. No, that that's good. That's a good example. Nixon's fine.
Jack Moore: Yeah, but I'm saying that if the Republicans were like, keep your mouth shut, change the subject, or take up for someone that has been considered not the poster boy of virtue for your party, shut up. Don't, don't. Fauci was not a figure in that moment that you wanted to say much about, and they were doing it. That's what I'm saying. I thought that was stupid. So I would think the other way. If the Democrats were wanting to bring hearings and it left you defending a kind of known Republican figure. That has been disgraced, shut up. Just don't sit there and keep defending the person. Find a way to get out of that lane. And I think the Democrats did a poor job of that. That's all I'm saying.
Charles: I I think but agreeing with you. I'm just taking it a step further ⁓ saying that both of screwed the pooch on this. I'm just it's both, not just one, ⁓ both of did.
Jack Moore: Right. I know you are. Yeah. Yeah, but I'm just saying I think you would agree with me. You can say Republicans bad for even making this an issue. Okay, bringing hearings and the rest. But they weren't wrong on the factual analysis that Fauci's a bad guy. You may say, you may, you may, but listen, you may say pissing up a rope, you may say everything. So when the Democrats take up for him, you may say, yeah, but the Republicans should have never bought the hearings in first place. True. True.
Charles: But th no no, I I'm I'm agreeing. I agree with you. But it It's
Jack Moore: But they're not saying anything when they're trying to do their show boating against him that isn't factual and doesn't give some meat, red meat to the base. When the Democrats go all goo goo eyed over Fauci, there's some that love that too, believe me. There were some that Democrats, but I think it made them look stupid because they were defending an an indefensible figure.
Charles: Remember I was telling you about the conversation I was having earlier today? Never even came up. Nobody nobody cared. Nobody cared about it. What they cared about was why is gas almost f you know four dollars a gallon? Why is it milk that i that's what the people cared about? They didn't care about Fauci. They didn't care about what happened. And these hearings, these hearings are a case of
Jack Moore: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Fauci didn't. Yeah, I can believe that. I can believe that. I ⁓ it's farm. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. No, I don't I I I I don't I don't dis I I don't I don't yeah.
Charles: Nobody gives a damn. How about you fix what's happening now? I'm sorry. It wasn't broken. You broke it. That's what people are talking about right now. Not Fauci.
Jack Moore: Okay. Okay.
Charles: Them them bringing him in front of Congress is not helping anybody's financial situation. It's not. So when it comes to that, Congress needs to understand, especially Republicans, exactly is the top of the food chain of people's concerns right now? It Fauci. It's not. And they keep screwing the pooch on this.
Jack Moore: I I don't I don't disagree with any of that. I I I don't disagree.
Charles: They keep talking about some stuff that's way down the line of actual concerns.
Jack Moore: All right. I think another way to put it is I think a Democrat in that situation would have been better. This is brother, this is all I'm saying. They would have been better to say why and some did to to varying degrees, some did do. Why are we even here? Why are we talking about this? it at that. Like, let's face it, folks, American public, he's never gonna go to jail over this. He's never gonna be prosecuted over this. This is a waste of time. That I think.
Charles: Hmm.
Jack Moore: From the Democrat senature standpoint, is much better than I don't know that I've ever seen anyone more virtuous. Once you cross that line, you look stupid. Attack the process, but I saw some Democrats, and I think it's going to cost them. Like I think they can't let go of certain things they need to let go of. We can piss and moan about the Republicans, wasted hearings, wasted time. But again, what I'm saying is to the factual basis of
Charles: Dude I agree.
Jack Moore: Once we've gone through and we've allowed the hearing to start, they weren't wrong about the attacks on Fauci. They weren't. I mean, they weren't wrong. You could say, waste of time, nobody gives a shit, fair. But what they were doing, they weren't firing at somebody that did wasn't a target of ridicule. But now then it leaves the Democrats with one of things, one of like what, four or five plays. One would be join in. They're not going to do that. would be ⁓
Charles: No.
Jack Moore: Give the tip of the cap to Fauci and then go on and say, why aren't we talking about something else? But the one move I'm saying you can't do is sit there and kiss his ass. I just think bad move. Go ahead.
Charles: D dude, but do you honestly would you expect them to do anything different? I don't. I don't. I don't ex I don't expect it Democrats. Yeah, I don't expect ⁓ to do anything different. I y you have
Jack Moore: Yes. Yes. You don't expect who tonight. All right, but you said that. You mean the Democrats? Yeah, I I d I well if you're saying am I am I surprised they're that stupid? No. But yeah, okay, all right, fair enough. Fair fair enough. Yeah, fair enough. Fair enough. Fair enough. I'm with you.
Charles: Right. Okay, thank you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, they're they're gonna Democrats are gonna democrat. Okay, that's fine. I don't expect them to do anything different. Okay. I do expect the people on the right is to do something different. Especially when they the the public is at them to do something and they won't.
Jack Moore: Mm. All right, this is more to consider. Like, subscribe, comment, tell us where we're wrong, because we're gonna close on this, brother Charles. We're gonna close on this. We're gonna get right in an hour again. So this we're gonna close on. Again, we've been all over the map. This is what we do. We just run our mouths and stuff. I I get I know I do, so I I'll apologize because I do that to you, but I know, brother, but I still think the Sean Ryan, what was impactful to me, and I and I think you and I have both been there for some time.
Charles: I'm right behind you.
Jack Moore: is I don't expect world leaders, leaders at any level, to be the savior or the solution. I think again, our greatest guard is hoping the system can protect us to some degree from them. So where are you at with that?
Charles: So what we just ⁓ we just talked about over the past fifteen or twenty minutes when it came to the hearings and stuff like that.
Jack Moore: Yeah, yeah.
Charles: What Sean is saying it's of those people that were in that hearing on both sides. ⁓ Both We're looking to them solve a problem and they're not. not gonna solve They're just gonna do whatever best for them as an individual or as for the party. The American people damned. That's what saying. Whether it be a at the very top the government or of the
Jack Moore: Mm-hmm.
Charles: representatives, they're all doing the same thing. looking toward f ⁓ these people to actually solve anything because ⁓ have a r a really good track record of not solving anything. ⁓ what he's saying. ⁓ ⁓
Jack Moore: Let me ask you this. Do you not think that there's at least somebody in the world as virtuous as you and me?
Charles: Of course. of course, yes. ⁓
Jack Moore: I think by like the laws of averages, you know, would we be any different if we got if we got our congressional seats would be any different? If we got to the US Senate, would be that would be a great tag team. You and I were the US senators from the Commonwealth of Virginia. So right now we're voting, you we we have to run in different elections, but let's go ahead and do that. Let's get Moore and Hunley into the US Senate. But saying that, don't you think that Ron Paul was for real?
Charles: Yes, well yeah. Yes.
Jack Moore: I do too, but I saw a whole piece taking him apart about he got a lobbying money from this and I don't even know the b the particulars, but it was somebody to shit on him with he's just like everybody else. So what about Massey?
Charles: as much as Ron Paul, excellent.
Jack Moore: I s he sounds right to me. The reason he got run out on the reason he got run out for the reasons he did, how he did, kind of makes me wonder if he isn't that guy.
Charles: And if Yeah, I think he is that guy and if you really think about it, don't think Ron Paul faced opponent that was by an entity like like Massey was.
Jack Moore: Well, different times. So I think, yeah, I think if he was running today, if he was who he is today, he probably would. Right. Now, the other thing about Ron Paul, and I think he was sincere. I really do. Well, there's the one thing, you know, he was taking a dollar a day to deliver babies at the Catholic hospital. God bless and he served in the military and arrest. I just love Ron Paul, 'cause I think he's a real thing. Love the stuff he's written, love the things he said. But the other thing about him that I find fascinating is
Charles: Yeah, I I agree. Yeah, who he is today. I I agree.
Jack Moore: He said he was at some kind of seminars college speech or something. The kid came up and said, Hey, you know, Dr. Paul, explain to me how I one day get in Congress. He goes, No, son, you missed the point of the whole lecture. ⁓ not I'm not in Congress because I want to make a career out of it. Or he's like, I that's what the kid said. How can I get a career in politics? He goes, No, this is the very thing I'm trying to get you people not to do. I don't want you to see it as a career path.
Charles: Ha ha ha. Right.
Jack Moore: I'm doing it to try to bring it down some of the, you know, some of the bureaucracy. the kids, you know, he's seeing him as somebody that's an honorable figure. I'd like to be like you. But Paul was like, I don't want to go out there and creep more little congressional candidates. So I think he was sincere in that too.
Charles: Mm. Right. Again, this came up in the conversation earlier today. ⁓ you s fix this? And just looking at each other and I'm waiting for somebody to answer the question or at least to say something. I said, It has be fixed all at once. It can't be one person here, one person there, because they're pretty much to get infected by the virus or they're to be pushed out like Massey it was pushed out and you're gonna have the same thing. They all need to go at one time. the only way you're gonna fix it.
Jack Moore: Well, one thing that's been talked about, and I can't think of a good example other than what I remember in my childhood. remember, and you're not about ten years apart, I don't know that you remember this really, but I remember a time when you rode down the highways and byways of the US, it was garbage dump. There's just stuff everywhere. So so they run the Native American ad, you know, he's crying. ⁓ but but
Charles: ⁓ yeah, I remember. Yes.
Jack Moore: It became political and you're out of the pack if you dropped anything out of a vehicle. Next thing you know, you did not see worldwide pollution on the side of the roads anymore. Now, another example I can think of is when I worked at a grocery store in my teenage years, 90% of sword store floor sweeping was cigarette butts. I mean everybody. smoked in this they people smoked openly in court. They smoked in the grocery store. The the ⁓ yeah. ⁓ yeah. Personnel at the school. When I was in school, you know, ladies, not not our school, but our school teachers go out and light up in the hallway or you know, I mean, yeah. Right.
Charles: Airplanes. bruh, I I got a better one for ya. in junior high school and there's a smoke pit for the students.
Jack Moore: ⁓ we had that high school. We had that in high school too. Well, okay, that's okay. That's you got you taught me there. Okay. All right. But no, but what but what I'm saying is the culture moves. Like people don't think about bringing it up. Everybody's vaping now and they can get away with it a lot easier than smoking. But but there was a cultural shift in you don't throw trash out the window of your car. It was accepted, it wasn't accepted. And that light switch went on pretty fast.
Charles: No, junior high school. Yeah Yeah. Junior Yeah. Yeah.
Jack Moore: And when they stopped saying you couldn't smoke in a restaurant, you couldn't even smoke in a sports bar, that light went off pretty fast. I those are bad examples, but what I'm saying is I could see view of what Congress should be doing switch pretty quickly. I think the biggest problem is is public education. If you could get the all right, talk to me.
Charles: Okay, hold on. Hold on, I I gotta I gotta I gotta not gonna say I disagree with you, ⁓ don't you think there was something else that that caused that switch? It two things that I can think when it comes to the the litter thing and the smoking thing. It was two things.
Jack Moore: Calls what switch? Well, they took smoking off of T V as far as advertisement. I don't think that made a lot of difference. It was in ever it was in every yeah, go talk to then. I'll tell you what.
Charles: ⁓ mm mm. So the first thing was started fining people for throwing trash out. So started digging into people's pockets. That was for the trash. ⁓ For smoking, it was started suing employers for their employees cancer in the workplace. ⁓
Jack Moore: Yeah. No doubt. No doubt. I agree with that. Okay.
Charles: So it wasn't that the the the people were like, ⁓ yes, this is a bad thing. No, that wasn't the case.
Jack Moore: Yeah, you no, you you no no no you say that, but I'm telling you, being a little bit older than you, I'm telling you, I'm telling you the culture. a time when I was a child, people were like McDonald hey, kids, all the McDonald's monetify out the window. It was just like, ⁓ out the window. And nobody thought at some social would that be the wrong thing to do? Would that be nah this shit shit? Throw this shit out. This done.
Charles: ⁓ yeah. Yeah, yeah. Right.
Jack Moore: Then there came a time. Then there came a time. I'm telling you that if you were in a car with a load of people and you're thinking about throwing the milkshake, well, what the hell are you doing? And it would have been like, ⁓ yeah, I don't want the group, the herd, to be against me. It got to be a herd thing. And cigarette smoking became the same thing. In 1971, lighting up a cigarette, it was hell, everybody lit up in every direction. Nobody said, You mind if I smoke? I mean, people didn't say mind if it just lit up. Then you could see the culture change. And I'm telling you, it changed to people starting to ask, Do you mind if I smoke too? I ain't smoking here, it's not expected. I remember too the tension in a 10-year window when people would start to light up. I can't do that here. What the hell you mean I can't do that here? I've always smoked in this restaurant. So there was a fight. There is no fight anymore. It is accepted. People, you you're rarely gonna find because you can't find people that smoke anymore either. It it kind of got pushed out of the culture. If if you're saying there was a financial incentive or penalty, ⁓ don't disagree.
Charles: Right. Yeah. No. But I do think Yes. Yeah.
Jack Moore: But I'm telling you, the culture shifted on it too. The culture clearly shifted. You lit up a cigarette, it wasn't like, hey, you're gonna get a heavy fine. It was the herd doesn't like this. Put that shit out. And that changed. Yeah.
Charles: It got expensive. Well I I I remember as a kid, hey mom, I'm I wanna go to the seven eleven and get some or play some ⁓ or whatever. Well a dollar, go get me a pack of cigarettes. Okay, you do any longer. ⁓ There's a whole of things that came into play ⁓ w ⁓
Jack Moore: ⁓ yeah, when I in in the early 80s when I worked at a convenience store, kids came in routinely to buy cigarettes for their parents. You kind of saw them, hey, saw me in a point. And you'd give it to no, but cigarettes was like not highly regulated. And the statute of limitation if anybody's wondering, the statute of limitations has has run on me selling cigarettes to anyone. No, and actually when I say that, I do remember like a ten or eleven year old coming one time and I knew his mom. And he comes in, Mama packed cigarettes. I'm like,
Charles: Yes. That's fine. Okay.
Jack Moore: Tell her she's got to come in here and get them. And then she comes in in a bikini. I'll never forget this. And I knew her well. She comes in a bikini. I just came from the pool jacket. And I'm okay threw the change up there. I'm like, I'm sorry, honey, but I can't sell them to your 10-year-old. So, and I knew that, I kind of knew that rule. But that one that one stuck in my mind because a lot of the people I worked with, here I am. I'm Joe Virtue. I wouldn't, but everybody. But a lot of people would like look in the lot and see the parent waving, like, yeah, I just sent Junior in, so I don't have to get out of the car.
Charles: Mm-hmm. All right. Right. Of course, of course. Yeah.
Jack Moore: I wanted her to get out of the car. So I said, Yeah, get get your mom get your mom in here real quick. ⁓ she had some kind of cover on her bikini. But anyway, she came in and she bought her cigarettes. And back then the girls were smoking all menthol, right? It was some it might have been the Virginia Slims. Could have been Slim's and ⁓ what was that other one? ⁓ was there an Eve or am I confusing that with something? All right, some other product. Okay. That was a joke, but yeah.
Charles: Okay. I guess so, man. ⁓ was about to say Virginia Slums, yeah. ⁓ ⁓ Hm. Okay. All right. Yes.
Jack Moore: Anyway, there were they were light menthol cigarettes often. That's stereotypical, but I'm gonna throw it out there. You didn't see too many ladies out there smoking the Marlboro Reds. Maybe some? No. All right. Everybody's had enough of us now. So what do you want to say here in closing besides urge everybody to like, subscribe, and comment? But what else do you want to tell them?
Charles: Nope. Not that I know of. I think that mean I could just joke here all day about this, but be individual. Think for question authority, as Leary said. for yourself, question authority.
Jack Moore: I like all of that. I do think though, if we could this is what I meant by getting the public schools changed. If we don't the dynamic of how people think the function of government relates to their lives, we're to keep getting this. If people continue to think that government should solve these issues, you and I, as much as we talk about it, and I think you far more than me, like, well, come on, Republicans, get a solution, whatever.
Charles: Mm-hmm.
Jack Moore: You would agree with me, they're never gonna fix it. So what we have to do is be better and better insulated from it. That's that's all we can do. Yeah, that that's what I'm saying. But if I go into a room, last thing, I promise, last thing, audience. I mentioned the other day, it was a show with you, I think. No, I was talking to another guy. No, I was doing a show with somebody else. But anyway, great story, right? True story. I'm in graduate school, late 80s.
Charles: That's true. I agree. Yep.
Jack Moore: And I'm saying this about the way people think and how it relates to their lives. I I'm in graduate school one night, and let's say a guy younger than me, probably not in the best shape of anyone I've seen. I'm probably in my late twenties. I'm in graduate school, and this guy might be a little bit younger than me, maybe the same age. He's not exactly the picture of health. He doesn't look in the greatest shape. And I have a liberal professor. I liked him just fine. He's liberal.
Charles: Mm.
Jack Moore: And this kid blurted out, you know what's wrong with our country, dear professor? What's that? He goes, I just saw in the news that John Elway is going to get $2.5 million a year just to throw a football. And I said, hey, get yourself in halfway decent shape, carry your ass out to Denver and play better than him. They'll give you 2.6. Laughter throughout the classroom. And then the professor's like, Well, sir, it's not that simple. I'm like, no, actually it is that simple. And John Elway won't be able to walk when he's 50. He's going to trade his long-term health for a lot of money, new generational wealth, but
Charles: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Jack Moore: You want to make you want to make what he makes? Go throw the ball better than him. Go run better than him. You'll get that kind of money. And then the guy said, but what makes me sick, what makes me sick is that public school teachers are making so little. Like, hey, when's the last time you saw a 60,000 ⁓ seat stadium filled with people paying a hundred bucks a seat to watch a public school teacher teach? Laughter in the classroom again. Once again, the professor said, So, well, sorry, it's it's not that simple. Said, no, it is that simple.
Charles: Right. Mm-hmm. True.
Jack Moore: The reason public school teachers get paid what they get paid, it's market driven. The reason L Way gets 2.5 million, if you don't like it, don't turn on the NFL game, don't go to the sponsorship and keep your ass out of the stadium. Now, I say all that to say that kid had a certain mindset. And some of it was I wasn't very good on the playground. I'm a big chubby guy that doesn't have any athletic ability. I resent the fact L Way, I'm probably gonna be a school teacher and probably a pretty poor one, you know.
Charles: Right. Mm.
Jack Moore: That's what he's thinking. My future's being public. So why do why do I get 47,000 or whatever it was at 33,000, whatever at the time, and Elway gets 2.5 million? Because he's super talented and somebody gives a shit to buy the ticket to watch him play. But I got to change the mindset of whoever that person is that listens to this and says, all public school teachers should make $2.5 million a year. Talk to me. Go.
Charles: All right. Mm. Mm-hmm. Well I just had this conversation with somebody early this week, me, and said to them Regardless of job and how think a job, the world's best ditch digger is a multimillionaire. I guarantee Because they're the at it. And it. It's it that's just how it works. may not you may not think that a ditch digger is worth paying kind of money, but when become the best in the world at it, you command that kind of money. And you may think that just because somebody throws a ball, they deserve five or six million a year, but when you become the best at it, you command it. That's just way it works.
Jack Moore: Yeah. Well, I think another another blind spot people have. I have a friend of mine, I'll just say, I don't want to say too much. God, how do I say that? Anyway, a friend of mine, I'd say that his parents were in a field of great devotion to others, service and all the rest. And I went to his house when I was in college. Pretty nice place. Pretty nice place. So we were watching literally 1984, the We Are the World video, Quincy Jones and putting all those celebrities together.
Charles: Mm. Mm-hmm.
Jack Moore: And one of the things I read was Kenny Rogers, the singer, who's now been past what, 10 years or more. He he and that crew gave up every bit of money that was made on that video album to relief in Africa. You remember it was a food relief thing? Okay. And I made a comment to this friend. I said, Yeah, it's kind of neat that those celebrity type musicians that are, you know, big time well known people.
Charles: Mm-hmm. Yes. Please.
Jack Moore: gave every bit of it without a cent. And he goes, well, if you really wanted to do something, he just built a $12 million house. Maybe not build such a big house. And I'm like, I was at your house. Your dad's in a particular profession that is kind of a service to the people profession. Could you cut the square footage? Could y'all live in a little bit tighter house? And he's like, takes offense and he's like, well, I'm just sitting on sit, well, Kenny Rogers building a $12 million house in 1985, whatever it was.
Charles: Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Jack Moore: Probably implies that he's worth a lot more than 12 million. Why shouldn't he have a 12 million? Well, that's excessive. And I'm like, Well, is there a little bit less of house that you could have had? So I said, Well I said, well, let me ask you this. What if it was an eight billion dollar? Well, that's still excessive. What about four? What about two? Where do you feel comfortable with what size house he should have? And you know, and then it it kind of it he was kind of a free market guy. But when you stuck him with, you think 12, and this is 12 in nineteen eighty four. You're talking fifty million now, easy.
Charles: Right. Right.
Jack Moore: maybe more. But I I was like, I I said, where where do we move the marker, the goalpost to make you feel comfortable with what size house? Because I lived, I or I went and stayed at your parents' house, that very nice house you guys had in the region of the co country that you were in. I think you could live in less. So when, you know, you know what I'm saying? And I'm hip and and I'm a hypocrite just like the rest, but I just thought it interesting he didn't think celebrity Was it at any degree virtuous for giving up any type of pay for this project because he had too big a house? And when I pushed him on, what about you and the folks? Do you think you can get by a little bit less? Did you know, is there do you think there's anybody in the neighborhood that goes, wow, they they do that kind of career and they live in that kind of house? He lived in a nice house. So I'm like, you know, the th don't throw rocks, stones, you know, or don't throw stones, glass houses, and all the rest. But people tend to do that.
Charles: Yeah. Right, right.
Jack Moore: I don't think my mind ever goes there because I always think it is what it is. If you said that somebody had a $137 million household, knock yourself out. You can make the payments or you can buy it straight. I don't care. I really, really don't. Now, if you're exploiting child labor outside of our boundaries, you are literally putting kids into slave labor and you were financing that home. I di I like, I dislike you for a different reason. Yeah.
Charles: Right. Yeah. agree.
Jack Moore: Yeah, I dislike you for the fact that you're exploiting people and you're becoming filthy rich or whatever. Have the house you can afford. I don't care. But if your money is gained in ways that are injurious to others, I would have an issue. So all right. Like, subscribe, comment, tell us where we're wrong, tell us what we need to talk about, whatever. But please comment. Charles, anything else? All right, brother. And we will talk soon. Love you.
Charles: Yep, I agree. Yep. I'm good, bro. Alright. Alright.
Alright. Alright.
