SELLEST OSAST
For this fourth episode of PracticeLink Media Network's "MD Bookshelf" podcast, host Georgia Scott once again welcomes Licensed Mental Health Counselor Robin Stone.
In this episode, Georgia and Robin Stone discuss Robin’s first book, "No Secrets, No Lies", and how sharing stories of childhood sexual abuse can help survivors process trauma, break the silence and find pathways toward healing. They explore how childhood experiences can shape relationships, self-perception and emotional well-being, as well as the importance of recognizing unresolved trauma and seeking support. They also discuss Robin’s work as a licensed mental health counselor and certified poetry therapist, including how she uses writing, storytelling and creative expression to support healing, her transition from journalism to mental health counseling and her forthcoming book, "Black Women Rising", which focuses on helping Black women navigate racism, strengthen their sense of self and embrace community.
