SELLEST OSAST

In this episode of the Love Light Reset Podcast, guest Mark Baker's journey to become a lighting specialist and an advocate for healthy lighting and circadian rhythm balance because of his own health issues through toxic light. Julie originally reached out to Mark Baker for her own health concerns about driving at night and also how to advocate against the hospitality industry forcing use of LED even in art glass chandeliers meant to deliver awe and sparkle.
The same week of this recording, the NEW SCIENTIST magazine had an LED lightbulb on the cover with the title "Why this Bulb is Wrecking your Health— The shock revelation that lightbulbs are wrecking your metabolism" Aug 10 2026

IN THIS EPISODE
In the launch episode of the Love Light Reset Podcast, Julie Conway & Mark Baker discuss the severe effects that can affect one's quality of life, mental and physical ailments, and even loss of employment due to blue spike light LED. Mark shares how he lost his job as an educator due to the mental stress caused by the toxic light at the school. His loss turned him into a ferocious advocate fighting for all of our rights including animals and plants who are suffering from over bright street lights, city lights, headlights, home lighting and illumination in the work place. How can we integrate full spectrum lighting again into the homes, restaurants, and work places when the general knowledge of LED has been so prevalent.
YOU'LL HEAR ABOUT
- When you have light sensitivity you can feel very alone and isolated. What happens when you can't drive at night or have the city plant a street lamp outside your bedroom window?
- There are no limitations on light (nor on EMF) like sound has in a city limit. What level of brightness is "lawful"?
- Toxic light is like toxic food, and since light is our number one nutrition how is this affecting our bodies, mental states and sleep?
- How can we take action against agents who are making the decisions for cities, headlights and other bright lights?
- What does energy efficiency mean if the product has poor health effect? What is "energy efficiency"? the process of "delivering the same quality of product but using less energy."
- Frustration in the crossover of art and light. Julie's feature glass lighting is meant to sparkle and dim to the artist's desires. Her goal is to set the perfect mood, yet her works are often illuminated with over bright LED, or technically don't function properly due to the low voltage flickering of electronic systems and limiting "energy efficiency" standards.
