SELLEST OSAST
The sublime has salt in it.
In this episode, Dr. Julia Colangelo explores the sublime, the feeling of standing before something vast, and what awe does to the nervous system. You'll hear why every nerve signal runs on salt, how awe quiets the voice in your head, and how that quiet becomes flow when you carry it into your work.
In this episode:
• Beauty and the sublime, from Edmund Burke's 1757 essay
• Awe, vastness, and the small self, from the research of Dacher Keltner and Jonathan Haidt
