SELLEST OSAST
Albert Verwey: BaptismIs baptism just family tradition, or does it mean something you have to decide for yourself? In this sermon, part of the Sacraments series, Albert tackles baptism head-on, including the tension many feel over infant baptism and whether being baptized as an adult would dishonor their upbringing. Using Wayde van Niekerk's Olympic gold medal as a picture, Albert makes the point plain: baptism doesn't win your salvation, Jesus already did that through His death and resurrection. Baptism is the victory lap, a public declaration that says, "My old life is gone, I now belong to Christ." It isn't a reward for finally cleaning up your life either, it's a step of obedience for anyone who has trusted Jesus, however unfinished that journey still feels.Watch this sermon for an honest, Scripture-grounded look at what baptism means and why it matters, no matter where you're starting from.Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/doxadeo_bloemnorth/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DoxaDeoBloemfonteinNorthWebsite: https://www.doxadeo.org/bloemnorth/Linktree: https://linktr.ee/DoxaDeo.BloemNorth
