SELLEST OSAST
What if the smartest delegation move is not handing off another task, but getting the right eyes on your data?
In this episode of Delegate2Elevate: Get Sh!t Done, Bonnie Schutz sits down with Layne Booth, the data, metrics, and KPI go-to for small businesses.
Layne teaches bookkeepers, directors of operations, business managers, and consultants how to add dashboard services through the Dashboard Designer Certification Program. Her work helps small business owners turn numbers into visual, useful information they can actually make decisions from.
Bonnie and Layne talk about why dashboards are not only for “numbers people,” how data can help business owners focus on what matters most, and why not everything on your plate deserves to be delegated.
They also discuss Layne’s own delegation journey, including her first hire, building a remote team, training team members, using end-of-day recaps, and why fractional support can be a smart first step.
In this episode, you’ll hear:
- Why business owners need clear data before making big decisions
- How dashboards help creative entrepreneurs see what is working
- Why not every task on your plate is important
- How to use data to focus your time and attention
- Why Layne’s first hire was not an administrative role
- How to train team members by teaching the long way first
- Why end-of-day recaps can help remote teams stay aligned
- How fractional support can help founders start small and build confidence
Layne’s closing reminder says it all:
Bring the data, not the drama, and keep on delegating.
