SELLEST OSAST
In this Friday Rant, I open up about something that took me way too long to learn: asking for help. For years, I tried to carry everything on my own—business struggles, relationship pain, family issues—and I thought I was the only one dealing with it.
But what I’ve realized, especially through my men’s groups and honest conversations, is that everyone’s fighting a battle we can’t always see.We isolate ourselves thinking we’re being strong or not wanting to “burden” others, but isolation is where our minds start to turn against us.
The truth is, help only comes when we ask for it. The moment you reach out, you create space for connection, healing, and even service—because sometimes helping someone else is exactly what unsticks your own pain.
Key Takeaways:
- You’re not alone. Everyone’s dealing with something—even the people who seem happiest.
- Isolation breeds struggle. When you keep everything in, your mind becomes your own worst enemy.
- Ask for help. Whether it’s a text, a call, or joining a group, reaching out changes everything.
- Be honest in connection. Ask people how they really are—and be willing to share your truth too.
- Service heals. Helping someone else might just be the thing that frees you from your own struggle.
- Faith in community. When you show up for others, others will show up for you.
Final thought:If you’re stuck, stop replaying the pain in your head and reach out. Asking for help isn’t weakness—it’s the bridge back to strength.
