SELLEST OSAST
There's a difference between surviving your life and actually living it — and most people never realize which one they're doing.
Paul Prien is a writer, coach, and founder of God's Guinea Pigs, a community built around his philosophy of Service to Your Future Self. After four decades in systems, operations, and leadership, Paul faced a season of loss and rebuilding that taught him something most people never stop to question: survival is sacred, but it was never meant to be permanent.
In this conversation, we dig into the framework from his book, Survive Become Return: The Philosophy of Living in Service to Your Future Self — including why success can quietly become just another form of survival, and how the strategies that once protected you can outlive their usefulness without you ever noticing. We talk about the real difference between surviving, becoming, and returning, why the best answers almost always start with better questions, and what it actually takes to become who you're meant to be — especially when that work is nearly impossible to do alone.
If you've ever felt like you're doing fine but not actually moving forward, this conversation will give you language for what's really going on.
