SELLEST OSAST
If you’ve ever been told “your eyes will only get worse” or “glasses are forever,” this episode is a refreshing (and empowering) rethink. Heather Gray sits down with holistic vision coach Claudia Muehlenweg to unpack why blurry vision isn’t just an “eyeball problem,” how the brain and nervous system influence what you see, and why stress, screen habits, and light sensitivity can quietly shape your eyesight over time.
You’ll also hear why Claudia avoids the word “reverse,” what she does teach instead, and how people of all ages can make meaningful improvements in clarity, comfort, and confidence, without obsessing over eye charts.
Episode Highlights
The myth of “nothing can be done” - Many long-held beliefs about vision may be limiting what’s actually possible.
You don’t “see” in your eyeballs, you see in your brain - The eyes receive light, but the brain interprets what you see.
Stress as a root cause of blurry vision - Nervous system stress can be a root cause of blurry vision.
Why “vision changes all day long” matters - Clarity can fluctuate based on stress, habits, and environment.
The language you use about your eyes can reinforce the problem - Negative statements about eyesight can reinforce physical strain patterns.
Light sensitivity, sunglasses, and night driving - Over-reliance on sunglasses may reduce natural pupil adaptability.
Screens aren’t the root problem—habits are - Screens don’t automatically ruin vision, poor habits like staring and reduced blinking are bigger contributors.
Your eyes are designed to move - Healthy eye movement supports clearer, more relaxed vision.
Vision health reflects whole-body health - Eye symptoms can be connected to broader lifestyle and systemic factors.
You’re not “too old” to improve - Claudia is clear: Meaningful vision improvements are possible at any age.
