SELLEST OSAST
Have you ever caught yourself telling the same story about your day, your relationships, or your life... over and over again, without realizing you were the one keeping it on repeat? In this episode, I sit down with board-certified hypnotist Penny Chiasson, and honestly, this conversation cracked something open for me.
Penny spent years as a nurse anesthetist before discovering hypnosis and never looked back — and what she shares here will completely change the way you think about your subconscious mind, your patterns, and how much power you actually have to shift them. This isn't about stage tricks or mind control. It's about understanding why your brain does what it does, and how to gently, consciously reprogram it toward the life you actually want.
What you'll hear in this episode:
- What hypnosis actually is (spoiler: it's not what you think) and why it's simply a state of focused attention you already enter daily
- The real science behind the reticular activating system and how it filters what you experience — and how to use it on purpose
- Why "trauma" isn't the only explanation for the patterns that keep tripping you up — sometimes it's just a pattern of avoided feelings
- How mismatched love languages (yours, your parents', even your kids') shape lifelong beliefs about whether you're "enough"
- Penny's Identity Matrix method for working from identity first, instead of chasing outcomes
- Why forgiveness — for others and for yourself — is described as the holy grail of internal peace, and how it actually works
- How the music, conversations, and stories you consume daily are quietly programming your subconscious mind
