SELLEST OSAST
When was the last time you bought yourself a new bra? Or made your own dentist appointment as quickly as you make your kids'?
In this clip, Nicole Walters gets honest about what happens when a mom gives and gives until there's nothing left, and how her body finally made her stop. She talks about the stretch when everything looked okay on paper and she still couldn't get out of bed, and what it looked like to start caring for herself again.
If you're wondering how to be happier when life is full and you're running on empty, Nicole's answer is refreshingly small. Book a checkup with no goals attached. Practice saying one "no" a day, no explanation needed. These are daily habits, not a self improvement overhaul, and they come from a place of self-compassion instead of "I should be doing more."
It's a gentle reminder that self-care for mothers isn't selfish, and that personal growth and development can start with treating yourself like someone worth showing up for.
