This is the second of 2 parts on a discussion of the Financial Service Group.
Potential for a New Economic Order
In Alice A. Bailey’s book “Externalization of the Hierarchy”, the Tibetan Master D.K. lays out the possibility for a “New Economic Order”. Although this was written at the close of WWII when the world was emerging from the ravages of the war, all nations, including the victors were also pushed economically. He states:
“This problem is basically far less difficult of solution and sound commonsense can solve it. There are adequate resources for the sustenance of human life, and science can increase and develop this possibility”. What then must be done, apart from the education of the coming generations in the need for sharing, for a free circulation of all the essential commodities?
This subject is crucial as members of the Financial Services Group would be central for practicing and implementing a broad vision that would make this a possibility for any program or project to become successful.
In the first podcast on the Financial Service Group, we discussed that in 2015, the United Nations met realizing that the current world economic order was not sustainable. They see that Populations continue to grow and resources are being depleted largely unchecked at an alarming rate. In short, they decided to enact 17 Sustainable Development Goals to be attained globally by 2030. The UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals essentially represent Economic Responsibility, Stewardship through Governance, Social change, and protection of the Environment. Although not necessarily based on spiritual principles, the Sustainable Development Goals are a positive step forward. It stated:
“These Global Goals provide a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by the UN, which represent an urgent call for action by all countries - Developed and Developing - in a global partnership”.
With currently 8 billion people in the world and still growing, these goals are defined in the context that depletion or selfish control of the Earth’s resources are unsustainable. Unless drastic measures are taken, large parts of the ecosphere will be severely damaged or gone in less than a generation.
In addition, the 17 Goals also says that all the world’s governments must address combat and curb any forms of human-induced pollution that effects that contributes to climate change.
Although the 17 Goals are grounded in a secular or non-spiritual context, the Principle of Sharing and a redistribution of wealth and control of the resources needs to be in place.
A broad view of the of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals emphasizes that a Green economy would contribute to eradicating poverty as well as promote sustained economic growth, enhance social inclusion, improve human welfare and create opportunities for employment and decent work for all.
Objectives of New Economic Order
The Financial Service Group has a significant role in creating the New World Economic Order. Within the business and industry sectors, individuals and groups aligned with spiritual principles of sharing can work to provide security and abundance for all. They will do this by:
· Establishing international labor and environmental standards that stamp out any forms of separatism, provides jobs, economic opportunity, educational pathways, e.g. equal pay for women and minorities at all levels of society.
· Redistribution and sharing of wealth by paying people a fair wage as to what they contribute to the company. This can come about by understanding that it is the employees who really makes a company wealthy and successful.
· Tackle climate change and issues around pollution. Corporations must share in responsibility and that if an environmental catastrophe happens in a country, it effects its neighbors.
To prevent these problems, there should be a collaboration of industry and government to provide policy and legislation aligned around ensuring life and not destruction of it.
· Change the attitude of the defense contract industry away from making weapons of aggression and war, and re-purpose their profits towards investments in society that create a foundation to Peace.
Overcoming Issues around Poverty and Inequalityo Renegotiation of debts of developing countries. This problem causes tensions of territorial sovereignty by political decision-makers and economic advisors between leaders of economically poor and technologically rich nations.
o Regulation of activities and establishing responsibility of multi-national corporations in non-Western countries particularly around social responsibility to workers in factories and pollution.
o Provide equitable access to resources of the oceans and sea floors to all nations.
With these sustainable Goals in place, this would also help maintain a healthy functioning around the following areas of humanity:
· People
o We are determined to end poverty and hunger, in all its forms, and to ensure that all human beings can fulfil their life’s potential in dignity and equality and in a healthy environment.
· Planet
o We are determined to protect the planet from degradation, including through sustainable consumption and production, sustainably managing its natural resources and taking urgent action on climate change, so that it can support the needs of the present and future generations.
· Prosperity
o Ensure that all human beings can enjoy prosperous and fulfilling lives and that economic, social and technological progress occurs in harmony with nature.
· Peace
o Intent to create peaceful, just and inclusive societies which are free from fear and violence.
There can be no sustainable development without peace and no peace without sustainable development.
· Partnership
o There needs to be an Intent to bring together the necessary means to make this Agenda happen through a spirit of global solidarity. This could entail creating a Global Partnership for Sustainable Development with the participation of all countries.
o Acceptance of the premise that the health, security and happiness of mankind can become a reality through right or wise distribution and supply of goods and services.
Its interesting to note, that the 17 Goals very much touch on the concepts of right human relations, cooperation, goodwill and sustainability, although laid out in a non-spiritual or secular manner. That is, there’s a implied morality going forward, but not a direct spiritual message.
Esoterically, if the UN Goals for Sustainable Development are fully enacted globally, these would be an major step towards fulfilling the requirements for Hierarchy's Plan to be implemented. It should also be acknowledged that those who put this whole program together were or are quite probably impressed by Hierarchy.
However, a major problem not addressed is that so many of the nations have not stopped warring or in-fighting, selling weapons, nor have they enabled the principle of sharing that would allow these Goals to become enacted. So, until there are people or spokespersons in government and industry, representing transparency, accountability, negation of corruption and living ethically. We then see this initiative as having the potential for being spiritually hollow. It is incumbent by all individuals, groups and nations to enable this program….as it would in the sense of create the context for love and goodwill towards people and the planet as becoming the prime motivating factor in human evolution.
From Alice A. Bailey, “Externalization of the Hierarchy”, D.K. says:
“The new era of simplicity must come in. The new world order will inaugurate this simpler life based on adequate food, right thought, creative activity and happiness. These essentials are only possible under a right economic rule. This simplification and this wise distribution of the world's resources must embrace the high and the low, the rich and the poor, thus serving all men alike”

Funding and Right Allocation of Money
For 1000s of years, money whether in coin, paper or digital has been understood as a means for payment of goods and services. Up until very recent times it has held a very materialistic status.
For those who understand money as a spiritual asset, they will come to regard money as a means and “energy” whereby divine purpose can be carried forward. As an “energy” money is directed by the individual or group, such as financiers, investors and politicians as a thoughtform to be used for manifesting a part of the Plan and enabling the needed work. To do this work, vast amounts of money need to be raised and allocated.
Working with the Political Organizers, member of the Financial Service Group help to apply the Principle of Sharing to the fundamental laws of economics. In this this work they are relating Soul to Soul, between individuals, groups and nations. Spiritual aligned individuals working with the energies and forces of interchange and commerce will employ right motive regarding the right allocation of monies. From this positive change will take place not just in the workplace and the physical environment, but also facilitate commerce and goodwill between nations.
FundingThere are at least two major means of raising money. Through allocation either from investors or government and through fundraising, such as donations, crowdfunding, etc. I won’t go into the mechanics of obtaining monies in these ways as this process is well defined. I will say raising monies is a people-to-people activity. That is, whomever is involved he or she in this spiritual context must have some Soul motivations and understand the money can be used for building and creating projects that bring forth service and beautification of the environment.
Collaboration in the Workplace
The principle that the Earth and its bountiful resources belong to all was elevated from the photography of the Apollo Missions of the 1960’s where we saw the Earth from space. For the first time, we saw our planet whole with no borders or political boundaries.
Up to this point, governments and society have not supported this concept “One World” but if humanity can realize its essential unity as one human family through education, we will be closer to embracing the concept that the planet and its riches belongs to all and not the powerful or selfish few.
Here, in the 21st century the spirit of humanity, despite its mental / emotional limitations is driving onwards towards a more spiritual civilization and culture, with changes in the workplace, perhaps, being one of the most obvious examples. In many places in the Western world, workplaces are laid out and designed to foster collaboration and cooperation among fellow workers.
Considering the worker and management, in Alice Bailey book “Problems of Humanity”, she said
“….the changes between capital and labor is a strive for freedom”. When the spiritual concept of freedom is realized then the physical plane will reflect this new understanding.
She further said:
“To own, to possess, and to compete with other men for supremacy has been the keynote of the average human being—man against man, householder against householder, business against business, organization against organization, party against party, nation against nation, labor against capital—so that today it is recognized that the problem of peace and happiness is primarily related to the world's resources and to the ownership of those resources.”
For centuries, both labor and capital are inseparably connected and any changes to either group will effect the other. With the continual advances in automation and technology we’ve seen a dramatic increase in productivity over the decades, which has benefited both capital and labor. This has made the workspace more amenable for the worker for promoting creativity and thus allowing the capitalist to be more prosperous.
Among the greatest benefits (or intangibles) and changes that have occurred from the 20th Century forward, that both labor and management enjoy are:
· Principle of Cooperation – for the business to expand and increase profits and expand its markets, capitalists have found a need to create new alliances, partnerships, through mergers and acquisitions.
· Open Door Policy – This is managements’ desire to institute cooperative business practices with their employees, which give the employee a way of participating in the operation of the company and a sense of ownership.
· Advent of Technology – The Internet and e-mail has defined a basis for communicating among team members and other business interests here and abroad. When different parts of a company are located in different places, technology such as video-conferencing and e-mail allow management and workers to be connected as a virtual team. With the virtual team located in multiple locations, each team member depends on each other to fulfill their responsibilities to keep the company vital and functioning.
In just the last 30 years or so, for example, globalization is bringing together the political, economic and social elements of society under the guidance and control of synthesis and right organization of the economic entity. This is another indication that the concept of unity is taking hold in the international political and economic consciousness despite the frictions of all the players. It should be noted that these activities will continue to influence civilization for hundreds of years into the future by conditioning humanity to create cross-border cooperation through trade.
· Globalization refers to an open flow of information, technology, and goods among countries and consumers. This openness occurs through various relationships from business, geopolitics, and technology to travel, exchange of money, cultures, ideas and knowledge, and media.
· Political globalization refers to the amount of political cooperation that has been generated and exists between different nations.
· Social globalization refers to the activities of Intercultural Communication or Citizen Diplomacy. This involves the sharing of ideas and information between different countries, such as through popular movies, TV Series and the Internet.
Consumerism
Typically, in order to maintain a consumer-driven economy, capitalists and advertisers, regardless of culture, must keep the consumer continually wanting or desiring more products and services.
Almost 100 years ago in the 1920s, the consumers need for more products was strongly influenced by Edward Bernays. Known as the Father of Public Relations, he wrote books on how to influence society and public opinion using advertising images, words, slogans, and news headlines. In short, he used techniques to influence individuals’ freewill, thoughts, fears and desires for economic or political gain. One of his most famous ad campaigns targeted women to smoke with cigarette ads “Torches of Freedom”. In the decades that followed the American Tobacco Company, the Nazi Party in Germany, the CIA, advertisers and politicians took notice and profited from Bernay’s ideas at the expense of the public by manipulating people’s emotions, desires and weaknesses.
As capitalists are naturally responding to the public’s insatiable appetite for more products, this appetite has serious karmic consequences on the environment and human psyche as corporations strive to meet the consumers wants. To satisfy the consumers’ demands for more products, the Earth’s resources are being depleted at an alarming rate and thus creating more pollution on the land, the air and and oceans. Since at least the 1980s, social scientists and economists have come to the realization that consumerism cannot maintain its current pace, as it is not sustainable.
Also, to maintain the world economy, regardless of philosophy or government type, the addiction to oil has justified warring on other nations to make sure that oil will continue to flow to the nations of the world. Through the combination of public apathy and the political and economic forces influence the oil industry. The forces of re-building the Earth are burdened with the daunting task of overcoming the illusion and dependence we have ascribed for the need for oil. This of course raised the questions about alternatives to oil, such as wind, nuclear, solar and “free energy” devices.
In short, civilization continues to evolve, but life in all kingdoms continues to be stressed. This is due to the insatiable desires of man to satisfy the consumer’s needs, regardless of the depletion of the world’s resources and damage to the environment. This addiction has clouded any clear vision for a sustainable future. In essence, this represents a significant threat to world peace and stability for the future.
Value of the Individual
When man is motivated by the will-to-good, steps can be taken by government, politicians, heads of industry and company managers to constructively overcome the problems of the underprivileged, the homeless and forgotten members of society. If industries and companies fail, people are put out of work due to market priorities, poor decisions, and wrong allocation of monies. Many of these workers through no fault of their own, may stop looking for viable employment as they are unable to find another acceptable job to help them pay for their life expenses. Some become homeless, others develop mental and physical problems and their health deteriorates. Lost in the process, is a tremendous loss of creativity and productivity.
In the Aquarian Era, all people will be recognized for their worth and what they can contribute to society. With a strong set of spiritual principles and values as a guide, no one would fall through the cracks. Monies would be allocated for education and training to provide right intellectual development for each individual to participate in society. When the economy is organized based on a sound spiritual basis, unemployment and unfair business practices will become a thing of the past. If these principles are put into practice, commerce and business transactions will be conducted with integrity, accountability, and transparency.
In our world are those individuals whom have vision and the ability to see the big picture for their company, community or nation and make changes that enable a positive outcome. Speaking subjectively, the energy of synthesis helps individuals to see the big picture within a business or corporation and bring together materials, products and labor and efficient management of resources for making the project successful.
The most distinctive qualities of this type of person is their sense of intense practicality. He works upon the physical plane with a constant and steady objective in order to bring about results which will be effective in determining the forms of the coming culture and civilization. Viewed esoterically, their characteristics are:
· The energy and focus executive work, with the object of building, coordinating and producing cohesion in the organization. It is distinguished largely by the energy which manifests itself in rhythm and government, rule or law and order, executive organization, such as in the world of commerce and finance.
o Ultimately, skilled disciples or Initiates will help to organize world affairs, both politically and economically so to initiate the New Economic World Order.
· In the economic sense, the energy of synthesis brings opportunity through an active and coordinated concrete mind, and their vast business capacity for achieving the gradual domination over the organization. Form this work, a new rhythm (through Vision or Mission Statement), rule (through corporate policies) and order will ensue.
o In this work, the disciple wields force in order to build the forms which will meet his requirements in a more scientific way.
o This is demonstrated by personages such as Jeff Bezos who created Amazon or Elon Musk who created the Tesla Corporation. Both corporate organizations are expansive and well organized to facilitate a successful order and control and ultimate success of the corporate entity. Note, I am not talking about the ethics, methods or practices of these corporation.
· The energy of synthesis helps to foster the objectives and the rhythmic-working of the group.
o For example, in the business world, internal IT environments or office spaces are often structured and designed in an intelligent manner to foster collaboration and open communication between team members. This activity inevitably fosters goodwill, sharing and cooperation.
Ethical Use of Money
In the Aquarian era, members of the Financial Services Group will work with the Political Organizers group as a matter of ethics in holding an attitude of establishing peace and eliminating the causes of war. This can be done by directing monies away from war-making industries towards more humanitarian pursuits, such as investment in education, eliminating poverty, and making healthcare and medicine available for all.
In the United States for example, there are vast amounts of money spent on military expenditures. The industries that create the weapons of war or even hand guns provide a major source of income for the government, corporations and individuals. Their vision is myopic and does not consider the damage to the human psyche and physical environment for producing these items. Needless to say the “war industry” in producing anything from guns, bombs, and missiles is not working in the best interests of Humanity.
For over 60 years the so-called "Military Industrial Complex" in the United States allows certain governmental and private individuals to stay in power.
Under this system, for example, politicians are able to secure contracts for building a fighter jet or missile in a particular State or district. There’s no question that the weapons industry provides a multitude of jobs throughout the United States. Because these industries create jobs, the politician's constituents continue to support their re-election campaigns. This then becomes a vicious circle where they are supporting a system that includes taxing the Earth’ resources…point here, this activity is not in the best interests of the country or Humanity as whole.
Of course, on a governmental level there must be a major shift in attitude and efforts in diplomacy towards establishing peace and eliminating the causes of war, e.g. fighting over resources, so that monies can be allocated to more humanitarian pursuits, such as investment in education or healthcare. By not shifting priorities for resource allocation, this deprives significant parts of Humanity from the means to overcome some of its most pressing problems.
Other industries that operate not in the best interests of humanity, for literally centuries, are run by individuals, families, corporations and nations that have been involved in the lucrative trade of animal tusks or ivory. This “need” has provided motivation to poachers who are hunting many animals, such as elephants and rhinoceros to brink of extinction. Although there are laws to prohibit this poaching, it still happens.
The issue of over-fishing at places around the world is a problem is impacting the animals and fishes in the oceans of the world. While there is increasing awareness around these issues, raising public awareness on how man is “physically” impacting or stressing the animal kingdom. Often, there are massive die-offs where whales, dolphins beach themselves for unknown reasons. There is an abundance and scientific information and studies in the mainstream media addressing these issues. Some studies suggest man is the culprit to include Navies using sonar waves causes stress in whales and other sea creatures.
More needs to done at the political level if we are to prevent extinction of these species, and therefore cause other “unintended consequences” in the environment.
What has been accomplished by the Financiers and Economists?
To conclude our talk on the Financiers and Economists, since Alice A. Bailey wrote “Problems of Humanity” in the late 1940s, there has been considerable progress in raising and improving the economic and financial status of millions of people around the world. But with this prosperity, has come a price. People around the world have been seduced by the material dream at the expense of the environment. How much longer can the Earth sustain the billions of people, clamoring to meet their insatiable material desires? On the other hand, with the increased population, there are more people of goodwill, of altruism and philanthropy than ever before on the planet.
By investing in the future, many Financiers and people with wealth are bringing a higher vibration of understanding to the myriad uses of “money energy” and …..understanding to light which plays out through the media, the Arts, education, politics and economies of the world. Through their influence, more monies are allocated and raised than ever before for all education, the Arts and funding projects that provide man with a sustainable future. It is they who continue to be solution oriented and hold the thoughtform of hope for a better future than previous generations.
