Ep4: Game night is not the night to first open your game. And if that is the case, I pray that you have at least watched a rules explanation.
In-Person: Game night is not the night to first open your game. And if that is the case, I pray that you have at least watched a rules explanation or read a PDF of the rules online. That is such a big table flip
Ep4: Or read a PDF of the rules online. That is such a big table flip
Ep5: Welcome to Table Flips Episode Four, the podcast where two grown men talk about board games because our wives made it very clear that another unsolicited lecture on gaming mechanics would have serious legal consequences.
In-Person: You asked for another podcast, and this is the best we could do. On this episode
Ep4: On this episode, we'll be talking about games we played this week, what we're pulling from our collection, what's flipping our table, followed by our featured review Shackleton Bass with its latest expansions. But first, here's what we played this week.
In-Person: feature review Shackleton bass with its latest expansions. But first, here's what we played this week. Paladins of the West Kingdom. This is from 2019
Ep4: paladins of the West Kingdom. This is from 2019.
In-Person: by S.J. McDonald and Shem Phillips, produced by Garfield Games and Renegade Games. hi, my name is Travis, and I'm a Garfield fanboy. yeah. so of all Garfield's games, I think this is the best one. but I I like a lot of
Ep4: Produced by Garfield Games and Renegade Games. hi, my name's Travis. And I'm a Garfield fanboy. my goodness. so of all of Garfield's games, I think this is the best one. but I I like a lot of them. it may not be my favorite at the moment, but I think it's just the most balanced and competitive.
In-Person: it may not be my favorite at the moment, but I think it's just the most balanced and competitive of all the games that they've made. so this is part of the West Kingdom trilogy. although Garfield has many great one-off games, I like the fact that the West Kingdom trilogy has this connective thread going through all of the games. so in Paladins, you're managing your
Ep4: of all the games that they've made. So this is part of the West Kingdom trilogy. Although Garfield has many great one-off games, I like the fact that the West Kingdom trilogy has this connective thread going through all the games. So in Paladins, you're managing your kingdom's response to invading threats during the Crusades. You're building walls, attacking or converting invaders
In-Person: Kingdom's response to invading threats during the crusades. you're building walls, attacking or converting invaders,
Ep4: Building up your faith to absolve criminals and sending out missionaries. this is an action selection worker placement game where you have to match the colors and the workers that you gather from the tavern or from recruiting paladins to actions on your board
In-Person: building up your faith to absolve criminals and sending out missionaries. this is a action selection worker placement game where you have to match the colors of workers that you gather from the tavern or from recruiting paladins to actions on your board.
Ep4: that they're thematically tied to. so that's kind of the interesting part of the game, is there's this kind of thematic.
In-Person: That they're thematically tied to. so that's kind of the interesting part of the game is there's this kind of thematic actions that you can do. For instance, you can use your black cleric meeples to call everyone to prayer, and that moves all the workers off an action spot to be able to take an action again. Or you can conspire and turn a worker into a criminal so he masquerades as another
Ep4: actions that you can do. For instance, you can use your black cleric meeples to call everyone to prayer and that moves all the workers off an action spot to be able to take an action again. Or you could conspire and turn a worker into a criminal so he masquerades is an
In-Person: worker type. So there a few motifs in this game that I find really to be genius in game design. the first is what kind of connects the games to the others in the series is that you can kind of conform a relationship with the criminal element that gets you money to take actions. but then they may get you into trouble later in the game, and they'll you'll get penalties of debts when the Inquisition arrives. another thing I think is great is the Paladin decks. So
Ep4: So there a few motifs in this game that I find really to be genius in game design. first is what kind of connects the games to the others in the series is that you can kinda conform a relationship with the criminal element that gets you money to take actions. but then they may get you into trouble later in the game and they'll you'll get penalties of debts when the Inquisition arrives. another thing I think is great is the Paladin Dex. So
In-Person: Each player has twelve paladins that are shuffled, and you draw three. you pick one, you put one on top of the deck, and then you put one underneath your deck. these paladins will give you workers, bonuses, special modifications to actions, and so trying to figure out the timing as you can stack your deck, I find really fascinating. Blake, we played this game together. What did you think?
Ep4: Each player has twelve paladins that are shuffled and you draw three, you pick one, you put one on top of the deck, and then you put one underneath your deck. these paladins will give you workers, bonuses, special modifications to actions. And so trying to figure out the timing as you can stack your deck. I find really fascinating. Blake, we played this game together, what did you think? No Okay, so this is a strong Euro resource management game. It adds some luck to it. Okay, so it's a Euro game that adds some luck. You might turn over some defense cards, you might get a few meeples here or there, it might give you a resource, or it might give you some points. You don't know what you're gonna get. Or when you get an entry card, you might get a lot of money. You might get zero money. You really have no idea. And when I first played this game, that really frustrated me.
In-Person: It adds some luck to it. Okay, so it's so you're a game that adds some luck.
Ep4: It was it felt hard to to plan my turns and I thought there was just too much luck to it, but the more I played it,
In-Person: It was adult heart set to play on my turns, and I thought there was just too much luck to it, but the more I played it.
Ep4: now I don't mind that aspect. But during our last play, what stood out to me and what I just kind of just frustrated me a little bit was when we get to choose our paladins. So from that deck of cards, you're gonna draw three cards and you're gonna choose one and
In-Person: Now I don't mind that aspect. But during our last play, what stood out to me and what I just kinda just frustrated me a little bit was when we get to choose our colitins. So from that deck of cards, you're gonna draw three cards and you're gonna choose one, so you're gonna mitigate a little bit.
Ep4: So you get to mitigate a little bit with that mechanic. But these cards, they're gonna tell you about half the meeples you're gonna get that round, followed by a little bonus. Like, hey, if you choose this action, you don't have to pay for it, or if you do that action, use less workers. My
In-Person: that mechanic. But these cards, they're gonna tell you about half the meat goals you're gonna get that round, followed by a little bonus, like, hey, if you choose this action, you don't have to pay for it. Or if you do that action, use less workers.
Ep4: only concern with this game is that the order of those cards really
In-Person: concern with this game is that the order of those cards really can kind of make or break your game. So at the very beginning, you're gonna shuffle those stack of like 13, 14 cards, and depending on how they're ordered, can really mess up your game. So in our last game, I think I would have lost by like 20 or 30 points if a certain card didn't come up at the very end for me, saying that the main action I needed to do that round like three times.
Ep4: can kinda make or break your game. So at the very beginning you're gonna shuffle those stack of like thirteen, fourteen cards and depending on how they're ordered, can really mess up your game. So in our last game, I think I would have lost by like twenty or thirty points if a certain card didn't come up at the very end for me, saying that the main action I needed to do that round like three times was
In-Person: was gonna actually be free that round. And so
Ep4: gonna actually be free that round. And so
In-Person: I didn't have to pay any resources, and I was able to span that spot three times to get all the way up on that track. If that card did not come up, that wouldn't have happened. Now maybe I should have planned better, because you ended up killing me in that game, but that was something that really stuck out to me. Yeah, I I think in that
Ep4: I didn't have to pay any resources and I was able to spam that spot three times to get all the way up on that track. And if that card did not come up, that wouldn't have happened. Now maybe I should have planned better because you ended up killing me in that game, but that was something that really stuck out to me. Yeah, I I think
In-Person: game I actually had a card that I knew
Ep4: A new
In-Person: I wanted to keep for the end. And I continuously cycled that card from the second round of the game all the way to the ending. so
Ep4: That's nice.
In-Person: I I I don't know. I mean yeah, I I think you can end up definitely with the the wrong set maybe of initial cards. Some you can't really use or you don't want to use and like maybe they're all what you feel is most important. But I like the game kind of reveals
Ep4: Yeah, I I think you could end up definitely with the the wrong set maybe of initial cards that somebody can't really use or you don't want to use and like maybe they're all what you feel is most important. But I like the game kind of reveals itself over the first three rounds of what's going to be important. you kinda have to play that a little bit too. but I don't think you're ever out of the game if say, you know, the the third round
In-Person: itself over the first three rounds of what's going to be important. you kinda have to play to that a little bit too. but I don't think you're ever out of the game if say, you know, the the third round card is something that you've already used and it's gotten basically 'cause whatever you shuffle to the bottom of that deck, you may see the last one, but everything after that you're probably not going to see again. but I never feel like
Ep4: something that you've already used and it's cut basically because whatever you shovel to the bottom of that deck you may see the last one but everything after that you're probably not gonna see again I never feel like you can really use any of those actions more than a couple times. True I don't know how much you know resources you're really saving there but I think there's the the jockeying of those paladins is
In-Person: You can really use any of those actions more than a couple times. So I don't know how much, you know, resources you're really saving there, but I think there's the the jockeying of those paladins is kind of fascinating to me. So I think the resources in this game are pretty tight. I remember getting those little baggies into the
Ep4: Kind of fascinating to me, so And the resources in this game are pretty tight. I remember getting those little baggies ended up being really hard in our game. are they just called resources?
In-Person: they called resources provisions, provisions. Provisions, yeah, resources, provisions. Almost the thing right there. But yeah, those were really tight in our game. and then again I had some look at those little bonuses that you get throughout the game as just ice on the cake and not having to plan my turns based on what those little bonuses were gonna be. Just be them as ice and on the cake and
Ep4: Provisions. Provisions. Provisions. Yeah. Resources, provisions. Almost the same exact thing right there. But yeah, those were really tight in our game. and then again, I had to look at those little bonuses that you get throughout the game as just icing on the cake and not having to plan my turns based on what those little bonuses were gonna be. Just view them as icing on the cake, and then I would be happy playing the game. So I really enjoyed it. I think it is the best out of the West Kingdom series.
In-Person: then I would be happy playing the game. So I really enjoyed it. I think it is the best out of the West Kingdom series. I like Architect a lot. I know a lot of people don't like that worker placement game. I think that's a fun worker placement game with a keptstream mechanic. That's enjoyable. The other one, I can't even remember the name, Fycounts, yeah. That was an interesting card dancing mechanic. That was kind of fun, but
Ep4: I like Architect a lot. I know a lot of people don't like that worker placement game. I think that's a fun worker placement game with a capturing mechanic that's enjoyable. The other one, I can't even remember the name, Viscounts, right? Viscounts. That was an interesting card dancing mechanic. That was kinda fun, but yeah, I'm with you. Palatant to me was the best of at least the West Kingdoms. But I haven't played the other ones like you. Yeah, I I I think
In-Person: Yeah, I'm with you. Paladins to me was best of at least the Western notes. But I haven't played the other ones like you. Yeah, I I I think what you know, another thing that Garfield just does so well is that the art is just so evocative. So the art's by the Miko is what he goes by. but I mean the the cards just, ooze like personality and the iconography is all the same throughout the series. So if you
Ep4: The iconography is all the same throughout the series. So if you
In-Person: know the iconography
Ep4: know the iconography.
In-Person: from one, you can sit down and play the others really with very, limited rules teach. So it's just kind of that like singular voice throughout the three games. I think is just really neat. And one day I would like to play that expansion where we combine the whole trilogy into one game. Yeah,
Ep4: limited rules teach. So it's just kind of that like singular voice throughout the three games. really neat. And one day I would like to play that expansion where we combine the whole trilogy into one game. Yeah.
In-Person: I I think well maybe you play the games one after another. I no, I have it. But I have no idea what Yeah. But that sounds like me. so that was Paladins of the West Kingdom.
Ep4: That'll be interesting. That sounds like so that was Paladins of the West Next up is Star Wars Rebellion with expansion Rise of the Empire. Came out in twenty seventeen.
In-Person: Next up is Star Wars Rebellion with the expansion Rise of the Empire. Came out in 2017. designed by Cory Kaneshka, published by Fantasy Flight. Now, Travis, I love Star Wars. And if you love Star Wars.
Ep4: Now, Travis, I love Star Wars. And if you love Star Wars, I feel like everyone has to play this game. It's not a perfect game, definitely not a perfect game, but enjoyable for at least one playthrough. in this game, you get Toys Galore, Travis. You are playing out the whole Star Wars saga. The Rebel player begins by choosing a location for a secret base, and there are a lot of choices. The whole world.
In-Person: This game. It's not a perfect game, definitely not a perfect game, but enjoyable for at least one playthrough. In this game, you get Toys Galore, Travis. You are playing out the whole Star Wars saga. The Rebel player begins by choosing a location for a secret base, and there are a lot of choices. The the whole world
Ep4: Is a map of the galaxies with 50 or so planets.
In-Person: is a map of the galaxies with 50 or so planets.
Ep4: the Empire's goal is to destroy the base, while the rebels, well, they just want to hold out as long as they can. Through card play, going on mission by sending out leaders that are known Star Wars characters, you play out the whole Star Wars narrative with your own twists and turns. So, through the game, the Empire is going to search.
In-Person: the Empire's goal is to destroy the base, while the rebels, well, they just want to hold out as long as they can. Through card play, going on mission by sending out leaders that are known Star Wars characters. You play out the whole Star Wars narrative with your own twists and turns. So through the game. The Empire is going to search
Ep4: Different planets by moving all their toys around on the board.
In-Person: different planets by moving all their toys around on the board.
Ep4: And if you're playing the rebels, yeah, it looks daunting, it looks hopeless, but definitely all is not lost because you have these great mechanics where you can throw the empire off your track and push back with your rebel forces. Travis, what'd you think about that?
In-Person: And if you're playing the rebels, yeah, it looks daunting, it looks hopeless, but definitely all is not lost because you have these great mechanics where you can throw the Empire off your track and push back with your rebel forces. Travis, what'd you think about that? so the first couple times I played this game, I really liked it. I will say I I don't know
Ep4: We'll say I I don't know, the ex the expansion
In-Person: The ex the expansion I don't think makes the game better. So I really just like the base game. I mean, I I like Star Wars, and more the original trilogy. So I I don't necessarily subscribe to the Pat and Oswald Pat and Oswald feelings on the prequels, but I think he makes some very valid points. adding the prequels like to this expansion, it just it just did nothing for me.
Ep4: The game better. I'm with you on that one. So I really just like the base game. I mean, I I like Star Wars and more the original trilogy. So I don't necessarily subscribe to the Pat and Oswald Pat and Oswald feelings on the prequels, but I think he makes some very valid points. adding the prequels like to this expansion, it just it just did nothing for me. and then it changed the battle system.
In-Person: and then it changed the battle system. So I was it wasn't great anyway. Like you said, this isn't a perfect game by any means, but changing the battle system the way it did, I think made it worse. but I mean overall, like I like how rebellion is just so evocative of the the franchise. You feel like you're immersed in the struggle. but I think overall as I
Ep4: So I w it wasn't great anyway. Like you said, this isn't a perfect game by any means, but changing the battle system the way it did, I think made it worse. but I mean overall, like I like how Rebellion is just so evocative of the the franchise. You feel like you're immersed in the struggle. but I think overall, as I you know played mul this game multiple times, just mechanistically I just feel that
In-Person: you know, played multi this game multiple times. Just mechanistically, I just feel that many games like this, they just struggle to find their footing with the balance. So it comes down to how much your experience depends on that feeling of being in the Star Wars universe, to how much the game's less than stellar mechanics weigh on your feeling about the game. and I feel like the two times
Ep4: many games like this, they just struggle to find their footing with the balance. So it comes down to how much your experience depends on that feeling of being in the Star Wars universe, to how much the game's less than stellar mechanics weigh on your feeling about the game. and it was tight. The I feel like the two times that we played, you know, we switched sides, we played both sides.
In-Person: We switch sides, we played both sides.
Ep4: It came down to the wire for most of those games. Yeah. I I I don't think I I played I I mean it'd been so long since the previous play and that's another issue is that I think you learn things after the game, but then you know, you don't play for a while and you go back to Exactly. You just you lose those those things.
In-Person: It kind of got to the wire for most of those games. Yeah, I I mean I I don't think I I played I mean it'd been so long since the previous play, and that's another issue is that I think you learn things after the game, but then you know, we don't play for a while and you go back and you just you lose those those things. I moved on from this game. I I sold my copy of this game. I just don't see me playing it
Ep4: I moved on from this game. I I sold my copy of this game and I just don't see me playing it.
In-Person: a lot in the future. but I think if you're a diehard Star Wars fan, this is the one board game that you probably need to own. Definitely. And I'm with you with the expansion. You know, it changed up the battles where I mean the battles sucked to begin with in the original game. they added a few more mechanics, kinda took care of the whole
Ep4: A lot in the future. but I think if you're a die-hard Star Wars fan, this is the one board game you probably to own. Definitely. And I'm with you with the expansion. You know, it changed up the battles where I mean the battles sucked to begin with in the original game. they added a few more mechanics, kinda took care of the whole luck of the card pool. You're gonna get a few more dice. I think these green dice,
In-Person: luck of the card pool, you're gonna get a few more dice. I think these green dice. the additions were okay. I think it kind of made the battles last a little bit longer. Yeah. And they were trying to fix the battles, so that was a little annoying. And for me, the battles they bogged down the game. so don't go into this game thinking that it is some strategic space battle war game.
Ep4: The additions were okay. I think it kind of made the battles last a little bit longer. And they were trying to fix the battles, so that was a little annoying. And for me, the battles they bogged down the game. So don't go into this game thinking that it is some strategic space battle war game. No, the best part of this game is the story that it's going to tell
In-Person: No, the best part of this game is the story that it's going to tell
Ep4: And what I loved about the last game that we played is I was able to figure out where your base was, slowly start to move my pieces there. You popped out of nowhere, pushed my main army out of the way,
In-Person: And what I loved about the last game that we played is I was able to figure out where your base was, slowly start to move my pieces there. You popped out of nowhere, pushed my main army out of the way.
Ep4: and then disappeared and found a new base. And I was barely able to relocate your new base before the game ended.
In-Person: and then disappeared and found a new base. And I was barely able to relocate your new base before the game ended. So I thought and I told a really fun story and I enjoyed that aspect. But again, don't go in thinking that this is a very strategic working. If you go in for the story, love Star Wars, you'll enjoy.
Ep4: So I thought that told a really fun story and I enjoyed that aspect. But again, don't go in thinking that this is a very strategic war game. If you go in for the story, for the love of Star Wars, you'll enjoy it.
In-Person: that's Star Wars Rebellion.
Ep4: that's Star Wars Rebellion. let's talk about
In-Person: let's talk about games that I've been playing with my daughter. she really likes mystery puzzle and deduction games. so I've been slowly introducing her to to some of these games. we we taught her Clue. and we also played Clue on the Amazon Luna. Have you have you played Amazon Luna? I have not. It's
Ep4: games that I've been playing with my daughter. she really likes mystery puzzle and deduction games. So I've been slowly introducing her to to some of these games. we we taught her clue. we also played clue on the Amazon Luna. Have you have you played Amazon Luna? I have not it's
In-Person: It's sort of like a TV app based. You can play life, you can play clue mini golf or whatever using your phone. so she likes doing that a lot. And I said, Well, if you like clue, you should try sleuth. which is Sid Saxon 3M game from the early nineteen seventies. You played Sleuth, Blake? So it basically takes clue and then removes much of the randomness.
Ep4: It's sort of like a TV app based. You can play life, you can play Clue, mini golf, or whatever, using your phone. Okay. so she likes doing that a lot, and I said, well if you like Clue, you should try Sleuth. which is a Sidsaxon 3M game from the early 1970s. You play sleuth? Sadly I don't believe I have. So it basically takes Clue and then removes much of the randomness.
In-Person: And basically distills what makes Clue enjoyable. but it's very head down, pencil and paper, taking notes. but it's similar, you're trying to find which cards are out of the game.
Ep4: And basically distills what makes glue enjoyable. but it's very head down, pencil and paper, taking notes, but it's similar you're trying to find which cards are out of the game.
In-Person: so she still likes Clue. She hasn't been fully converted yet, but I'm gonna keep working on her because I Sleuth is a much better game.
Ep4: So I she still likes blue. hasn't been fully converted but I'm gonna keep working on her 'cause I think Sloop is a much better
In-Person: we played a game called Chronologic. You played Chronologic? Not really that either. So there's two games in this series. This is Distributed by Ori Games and Super Meeple.
Ep4: We played a game called Chronologic. I have not played that either. So there's two games in this series. This is distributed by Ori Gaines and Super Meeple. they're planning a third one, I think later this year. it turns the idea of clue on its head by making the game have all the information. So you're you're basically interrogating the game.
In-Person: they're planning a third one, I think later this year. it turns the idea of clue on its head by making the game have all the information. So you're you're basically interrogating the game.
Ep4: So has these specially printed time and suspect tiles that have windows on them, and then you have room cards that have all the information that are hidden. So then when you
In-Person: so it has these specially printed time and suspect tiles that have windows on them, and then you have room cards that have all the information that are hidden. So then when you
Ep4: go to ask the game the question, you take the card, you impose it on the back side of the tile and flip it over, and it gives you the information that you were asking for.
In-Person: go to ask the game a question, you take the card, you impose it on the backside of the tile and flip it over, and it gives you the information that you were asking for. Some of that information you have to share with the other player and some of it you can keep secret. until you're trying to figure out what the a goal is for for instance, the game we played, you had to figure out where the person who got poisoned was in a room with only one other person.
Ep4: Some of that information you have to share with the other player, and some of it can keep secret. until you're trying to figure out what the goal is. For for instance, the game we played, you have to figure out where the person who got poisoned was in a room with only one other person. So you have to figure out where all the people were, all the characters were at certain times.
In-Person: So you have to figure out where all the people were, all the characters were at certain times to find out when this person got poisoned.
Ep4: to find out when this person got wizard. interesting.
In-Person: so she really liked that one. So I said, Well, if you like that one, you should play Turing Machine.
Ep4: So she really liked that one, so I said, Well if you like that one, you should play Turing Machine. Well you really got her into these deduction kicks right here. And she she really loves them.
In-Person: And she she really loves them So Turing Machine is kinda like that kind of deduction puzzle.
Ep4: So Turing Machine is kind of like that kind of deduction puzzle. And that one's a little bit more complicated, right? Sort of. I mean the the idea of the game is fairly simple. You're trying to deduce a three-digit code by asking basically a computer-like verifier card set that have conditions on them.
In-Person: Sort of. I mean the the idea of the game is fairly simple. You're trying to deduce a three digit code by asking basically a computer like verifier card set that have conditions on them. basically you're asking them, is this code does it meet your criteria that you have on the printed on the card?
Ep4: Basically, you're asking them, is this code does it meet your criteria that you have them printed on the card? So to ask it, you overlay your punch code cards, so they resemble these old computer punch cards, with the verifier code card, and it will either provide you an X or a check mark through this window. I I don't know how.
In-Person: So to ask it, you overlay your punch code cards, so they resemble these old computer punch cards with the verifier code card, and it will either provide you an X or a check mark through this window. I I don't know how
Ep4: they make games like this. So there's I don't know, there's too complicated. There's like hundred cards and there's forty verifiers and
In-Person: they make games like this. So there's I don't know. There's too complicated. There's like a hundred cards and there's 40 verifiers and then
Ep4: then for somehow you overlap the cards that you're asking about in the verifier card and magically, you can play thousands and thousands of different games. Unbelievable. Same code cards. I think she she really liked
In-Person: For somehow you overlap the cards that you're asking about and the verifier card and magically, you can play thousands and thousands of different games with these same code cards. I think she she really liked doing that. I mean, we didn't play anything really difficult. I think the the difficulty level can really skyrocket on Turing Machine.
Ep4: Doing that. I mean, we didn't play anything really difficult. I think the the difficulty level can really skyrocket on Turing Machine. And you have a fun toy aspect as well. Yeah, it's just it's just kind of cool. It reminds me of those old where you had the the red like cellophane that with the secret codes. You know, when you pass it over something and then reveal like an answer. It kind of feels like that. You're trying to stack the cards and then get the answer.
In-Person: Yeah, it's just it's just kind of cool. It reminds me of those old where you had the the red like cellophane that with the secret codes, you know, and you pass it over something and it reveal like an answer. It kind of feels like that. You're trying to stack the cards and then get the answer and then, keep it secret and keep notes. So I I I I love puzzle games like that. I think she's kind of well on her way to liking those kinds of games as well.
Ep4: keep it secret and keep notes. So I I I I love puzzle games like that. I think she's kind of well on her way to liking those kinds of games as well. Nice. Okay. You're gonna have to move on from deduction games and try something different next week.
In-Person: Dutchman games and try something different next week. so those were puzzle and deduction games I
Ep4: so those were puzzle introduction games.
In-Person: played with my daughter, Sleuth, Chronologic, and Turing Machine.
Ep4: Now on to call
In-Person: Now on to Cole
Ep4: of the week. this is the hard part. It's always much needed, especially for me.
In-Person: This is the hard part. It's always much needed, especially for me.
Ep4: What games need to be tossed out? Passed on or traded or something else? Let's cleanse our souls together and give up a game. Travis, what are you calling this week? I'm gonna cleanse by giving up two games. Whoa. Double clean.
In-Person: Need to down, passed on or traded, or something else. Let's cleanse our souls together and give up a game. Travis, what are you calling this week? I'm gonna cleanse by giving up two games. Double cleanse. you're more pure than me. So I've recently moved
Ep4: you're more pure than me.
In-Person: on from two of my older Rio Grande games. but for much different reasons.
Ep4: Different reasons. first I sold my copy of Goa. This is Rigberdorn's auction game from two thousand and four. I had the first English release of this game. I think my wife bought it for me for birthday. Wow. I probably probably in
In-Person: first I sold my copy of Goa. This is Rudiger Dorn's auction game from 2004. I had the first English release of this game. I think my wife bought it for me for my birthday. Wow. I probably probably in 2004. I played this game quite a bit, actually, online and over the table.
Ep4: I played this game quite a bit actually, online and over the table.
In-Person: but like many games.
Ep4: Like many games. It is coming out in a brand new master brand edition from Quinid. They're reprinting a new game and deluxifying it? I know, right? Wow. I didn't know they did that this year. Weird. this this new edition it does have a bit more of a cartoony art sense, but I think the what
In-Person: It is coming out in a brand new master print edition from Quinid. Have you seen this? They're reprinting a new game and Delexifier? I know, right? Weird. Weird. this this new edition it does have a bit more of a cartoony art sense, but I think the
Ep4: the
In-Person: what they're planning for the the pieces in the game. it just it looks great. I think what really attracted me to backing this new edition was there's gonna be a solo mode.
Ep4: planning for the the pieces in game. it just it looks great. I think what really attracted me to backing this new edition was there's gonna be a solo mode.
In-Person: I know that they have some rule changes coming in this version. I'm not necessarily happy with those. I played with them on board game arena. so I may
Ep4: I know that they have some rule changes coming in this version. I'm not I'm necessarily happy with those. I played with them on WordGame Arena. so I may take some of those old rules and bring them to this new edition and see how that works. That'll be interesting. Yeah, I'll have to reevaluate once I get the copy, so it'll probably be next year. so that copy of Goa is no more.
In-Person: Take some of those old rules and bring them into this new edition and see how that works. Yeah, and I'll have to reevaluate once I get the copy. So that'll probably be next year. so that copy of Goa is no more.
Ep4: the second game that I've recently called is Torres. Now
In-Person: the second game that I've recently called is Torres.
Ep4: I never played Torres. Tell me a little bit about that. So this is from nineteen ninety-nine.
In-Person: So this is from nineteen ninety nine. It was designed by Wolfgang Cromer and Michael Kiesling. I just had to give this one away. So this game has lived in my garage in various places for two decades now.
Ep4: I just had to give this one away. So this game has lived in my garage in various places for two decades now. Now those are great designers right there. What happened? Yeah, so Kramer and Keisling have done a lot of action point games. Mm-hmm. my favorite is T Call. I think T Call is a better
In-Person: Yeah, so Kramer and Keysling have done a lot of action point games. my favorite is T Call. I think T Call is a better representation of this era from these designers. It's a thinky action point game, but the thematic elements keep it more amusing. Torres is very, very abstract.
Ep4: representation of this era from these designers. It's a thinky action point game, but the thematic elements keep it more amusing. Torres is very, very abstract. So you're building floors of this castle on a board, it's kind of this I don't know, ten by ten grid. and then you're moving your knights, which are just these wooden pieces.
In-Person: So you're building floors of this castle on the board is kind of this, I don't know, 10 by 10 grid. and then you're moving your knights, which are just these wooden pieces, up and down the floors of the castle to try and meet certain cards that you have, goals on these cards. but really it's just so abstract that just nobody wants to play.
Ep4: up and down the floors of the castle to try and meet certain cards that you have bowls cards. but really it's just so abstract that just nobody wants to play this game. I I th I had the original version, the English version. It's
In-Person: This game. I I the I had the original version, the English version. It's the superior version of the game in my opinion. The the art style is fantastic. It even had the Rio Grande Games demo copy sticker on the back. So I'm not quite sure how I came across that. I don't even remember how I
Ep4: the superior version of the game in my opinion. The the art style was fantastic. It even had the Rio Grande games demo copy sticker on the back. I'm not quite sure how I came across that's amazing. I don't even remember how I
In-Person: got it. I don't I don't know if I ran into Jay Tumbleson somewhere in
Ep4: Stole it. Ran into Jay Tumbleson somewhere in two thousand three or something probably. And he was selling this maybe. I d I don't even remember. I traded it and hopefully I get something that I play more.
In-Person: two thousand and three or something probably and he was selling this maybe. I d I don't even remember. I traded it and hopefully I get something that I play more in its place. So
Ep4: So those are two games. Travis is calling this week. Man, Travis, now I gotta do that next week. Whew. What you planning?
In-Person: what are you planning? I don't know. But my wife wants me to give up few
Ep4: I don't know, but my wife wants me to give up a few thanks, so we'll see what happens. But now on to what flips our table.
In-Person: this is a time, much like Festivus, where we air our grievances about games, our hobbies, culture, or a certain mechanic that just needs to be retired. Blake? Well, there is something that causes my soul to die.
Ep4: About games, our hobbies, culture, or a certain mechanic that just needs to be retired. Blake? Well, there's something that causes my soul to die a little. When someone comes to board game night to teach a game, and I see them take off the cellophane, take off that plastic, and they are just now unwrapping.
In-Person: When someone comes to board game night to teach a game, and I see them take off the cellophane, take off that plastic, and they are just now unwrapping that game, or or they take the lid off, and they haven't even punched the game out. And when I see that, I know I'm gonna be in for a long fumbly rules explanation.
Ep4: That game, or or they take the lid off and they haven't even punched the game out. And when I see that, I know I'm gonna be in for a long, fumbly rules explanation. Game night is not the night to first open your game. And if that is the case, I pray that you have at least watched a rules explanation.
In-Person: Game night is not the night to first open your game. And if that is the case, I pray that you have at least watched a rules explanation or read a PDF of the rules online. That is such a big table flip for me. If you have such a desire to to play a game, your game, and you're bringing it to game night, know your game.
Ep4: Or read a PDF of the rules online. That is such a big table flip for me. If you have such a desire to play a game, your game, and you're bringing it to game night, know your game before you get there. Also, don't read me the rules from the rule book. It's okay if you need to use the rule book as a reference or to clarify things, but if it is straight up
In-Person: before you get there. Also, don't read me the rules from the rule book. It's okay if you need to use the rule book as a reference or to clarify things, but if it is straight up read to me from the rules and you expect me to comprehend it, my goodness. That is ridiculous. Well for a second there I thought you might be talking about me. You had me a little flush.
Ep4: Read to me from the rules and you expect me to comprehend it? my goodness. That is ridiculous. For a second there, I thought you might be talking
In-Person: No, I'm usually pretty good about you're setting up
Ep4: about me.
In-Person: a game ahead of time or at least reading the rule book, although I will say I am a rules reader at the table. You are.
Ep4: You are. You are. But you at least you know what you're talking about, but you read from it. I skip. Yeah. And I'm sure we've all been guilty of this at some point, but we all need to do a little bit better. If you want to play your game, learn the rules inside out before game night, watch a few videos, read the rule book, make the teaching exciting. Help build the excitement for the game, especially if it is a dry game.
In-Person: I skim. Yeah. To be polite. And I'm sure we've all been guilty of this at some point, but we all need to do a little bit better. If you want to play your game, learn the rules inside out before game night, watch a few videos, read the rule book, make the teaching exciting. Help build the excitement for the game. Especially if it is a dry game that is going to have a long rules explanation. You don't have to
Ep4: That is going to have a long rolls explanation. You don't have to entertain me, but give me something, at least some excitement from your face. Does that make sense? Is that too much to ask?
In-Person: Maybe something at least some excitement from your face. Does that make sense? Is that too much to ask? I don't think so. But I I've known a lot of people who do different I I had a person in my game group who knew German and would take the German rules out of
Ep4: Take the German rules out.
In-Person: the box and translate while teaching the game at the table, reading a sentence in German and then translating
Ep4: Reading a sentence in German and then English.
In-Person: it into English.
Ep4: I would love that for about two minutes and then I would go
In-Person: Yeah.
Ep4: to sleep. But finally, you know,
In-Person: Yeah.
Ep4: for those who put the work in for explaining rules,
In-Person: And for explaining
Ep4: I want to end this segment just by saying thank you. So most of the time it's a thankless job, but I see you. So please thank your board game rules explainer.
In-Person: Segment just by saying thank you. So most of the time it's a thankless job, but I see you. So please thank your board game rules explainer.
Ep4: Also, if they get one or two rules wrong, don't give them a hard time about it. Some games are hard. Not all board game publishers know exactly how to design a good rule book.
In-Person: Also, if they get one or two rules wrong, don't give them a hard time about it. Some games are hard. Not all board game publishers know exactly how to design a good rule book.
Ep4: We have all come across those horrible rulebooks. We all make mistakes. If you knew about the game before game night, then you could have taken time to learn a little bit as well.
In-Person: We have all come across those horrible rule books. We all make mistakes. If you knew about the game before game night, then you could have taken time to learn a little bit as well.
Ep4: So that is our week's table flip.
In-Person: So that is our week's cable flip. Yo, Blake, you're a horrible liar. You give me a hard time every time I miss one rule. One rule.
Ep4: One rule. That's the fun part.
In-Person: Mm-hmm.
Ep4: Now on to our featured review. So let's talk about Shackleton base.
In-Person: So let's talk about Shackleton Bass from twenty twenty four, designed by Fabio Lopiano and Nestori Mangoni, published by Sorry, we are French. And they should be sorry.
Ep4: By sorry, we are French. We should be sorry. wait, wait, is this that fun game where you build a colony on the moon and then crazy robots come and kill you and everyone dies, right? Yeah, I wish. Actually, I I always wonder what happens to the people in my
In-Person: Yeah, I wish. actually I I always wonder what happens to the people in my games after the game is over. Like what if you played Shackledon Bass and then it provided your starting hand
Ep4: you play shack of the bass and then it provided your starting hand
In-Person: for a moon colony bloodbath? Like you could have you could have a mega game like Entdecker, Settlers, Lohenhurts. Right? So we should we should try it. If if if
Ep4: You could have you can have a mega game like end decker, settlers, no one hurts. Right? So That's amazing. I we should we
In-Person: If Stonemeyer can just meld games together, like we could do that. Yeah, exactly. All right, so in Shackledon Base, you represent a country space agency that is taking dirty corporate money
Ep4: should try it. Yeah. Like we can do that. Just like the West Kingdoms, add them all together. Yeah, exactly. Alright, so exactly base, you represent a country's space agency that is taking dirty corporate money.
In-Person: to build a base on the moon. you're gonna build domes, workshops, laboratories, headquarters, using materials and specialized astronauts that arrive on the moon each round.
Ep4: Build a base on the moon. You're gonna domes, workshops, laboratories, headquarters, using materials and specialized astronauts that arrive on the moon each round. And then you will cooperate with the corporations to further exploration and exploitation of the moon, managing power requirements, and building reputation. The two major things I think.
In-Person: and then you will cooperate with the corporations to further exploration and exploitation of the moon, managing power requirements and building reputation. the two major things I think I like about this game and stand out to me. First one obviously is the corporations. in the base game, there are seven corporations. with the expansion, you get additional three corporations, and then you'll pick three.
Ep4: Like about this game and stand up to me. First one obviously is the corporations. in the base game, there are seven corporations. With the expansion, you get additional three corporations, and then you'll pick three of
In-Person: Of those for your game. And then they basically guide all the major actions in the game. So each game has a different feeling depending on which corporations are added. each corporation has special rules,
Ep4: those for your game. And then they basically guide all the major actions in the game. So each game has a different feeling depending on which corporations are added. Each corporation has special rules.
In-Person: new resources, new scoring opportunities, and a stack of specialized cards that each have actions that will modify the basic game. I enjoyed that. I loved how the base game you get so many.
Ep4: New resources, new scoring opportunities, and a stack of specialized cards that each have actions that will modify the basic game. I enjoyed that. I loved how in the base game you get so many of those corporations to where at first you really don't need the expansion. The expansion adds some fun new corporations, but the base ones, I mean there's a lot of excitement there. And I love how
In-Person: to where at first you really don't need the expansion. The expansion adds some fun new corporations, but the base ones, I mean there's a lot of excitement there. And I love how depending on which ones you have in the game can totally change it up. By just changing one corporation and playing with two others that you've already played with before, you're playing a completely new game. And that was exciting.
Ep4: depending on which ones you have in the game, can totally change it up. By just changing one corporation and playing with two others that you've already played with before, you're playing a completely new game. And that was exciting. Yeah, I I I I don't think I played with all of the original seven corporations.
In-Person: Yeah, I I I I don't think I've played with all of the original seven corporations yet. I play with two of the three from the the expansion. but I mean they're so interchangeable, you don't feel like you need to absorb too many new rules to just take on a new corporation. So Yeah, I enjoyed the puzzle of this game. Understanding the balance with certain meals and how some of them are going back to your board later in the game. That was a fun mechanic to trying to figure out
Ep4: Expansion. but I mean they're so interchangeable, you don't feel like you need to absorb too many new rules to just take on a new corporation. yeah. And I enjoyed the puzzle of this game, understanding the balance with certain meeples and how some of them are going back to your board later in the game. That was a fun mechanic to try to figure out. And at first that surprised me that some of the meeples that you put out on the big main board at the end of that round, if you
In-Person: At first that surprised me that some of the meeples that you put out on the big main board at the end of that round, if you play the mechanics right, they're gonna come back to your player board. And depending on where you put them on your player board, there's gonna be some in-game scoring and then some income that you're gonna get at the beginning of the round.
Ep4: play the mechanics right, they're gonna come back to your player board. And depending on where you put them on your player board, there's gonna be some in-game scoring and then some income that you're gonna get at the beginning of the round. the first corporations I played with, I focused on one of the visitor corporations where they were visiting the moon. And that was a fun puzzle. And I really enjoyed that. With the expansion, I really focused on one of the mining corporations. And that was an interesting corporation to work with because it's one that adds another extension to your player board.
In-Person: the first corporations I played with, I focused on one of the visitor corporations where they were visiting the moon. And that was a fun puzzle, and I really enjoyed that. With the expansion, I really focused on one of the mining corporations. And that was an interesting corporation to work with because it's one that adds another extension to your player board.
Ep4: And you have this little mining meeple, and you're literally going to be mining the moon. Now, when you mine the moon, you're gonna lose a lot of reputation because people don't like you doing that. So there was a good tug of war right here of wanting to mine to get these resources, but also to try to continue to push my reputation up so I don't lose a lot of those in-game bonuses. And so that was a fun push or pull mechanism.
In-Person: And you have this little mining meeple, and you're literally going to be mining the moon. Now, when you mine the moon, you're gonna lose a lot of reputation because people don't like you doing that. So there was a good tug war right here of wanting to mine to get these resources, but also to try to continue to push my reputation up so I don't lose a lot of those in-game bonuses. And so that was a fun pusher pull mechanism.
Ep4: That I enjoyed with the expansion. Yeah, I think the expansion corporations are good because they interact with what I feel is the most gamey and uninteresting part of Shackleton base, and that is that reputation trap. Yes.
In-Person: That I enjoy with the expansion. Yeah, I think the expansion corporations are good because they interact with what I feel is the most gamey and uninteresting part of Shackledon base, and that is that reputation track. Yes. I think if there's an octal level at the game, it's that that reputation track doesn't really do enough to differentiate the players and their strategies. Everybody is going to move up that track. Everybody's gonna have their
Ep4: That reputation track doesn't really do enough to differentiate the players and their strategies. Everybody is going to move up that track. Everybody's going to have their
In-Person: upkeep cost increase, but you're gonna be close to the top, you're gonna be getting points for maxing that track out. and I think the expansion corporations give you a little bit more of a
Ep4: upkeep cost increase. but you're going to be close to the top, you're going to be getting points for maxing that track out. and I think the expansion corporations give you a little bit more of a
In-Person: way to spend that reputation in a way that makes it more interesting. So usually in a game of shackleton base, you're not interacting with all three corporations. You may dabble in one, but you may focus on the other two.
Ep4: Way to spend that reputation in a way that makes it more interesting. So usually in a game of shackling base, you're not interacting with all three corporations. You may dabble in one, but you may focus on the other two. And this will differentiate the players based on how much you interact with that corporation that manages that reputation track. I would like to see them go even further and
In-Person: And this will differentiate the players based on how much you interact with that corporation that manages a reputation track. I would like to see them go even further in whatever next expansion they do, try and make that trade off even more stark, I think. And what's really interesting to this game is
Ep4: whatever next expansion they do, try and make that trade-off even more stark, I think. And what's really interesting in this game is that everyone at the table in a way feels like they're playing a different type of game depending on what corporation they're interacting with. And it looks like they're going for certain things, but yet with this center player board, we're still competing together while still going for these different corporations.
In-Person: And it looks like they're going for certain things, but yet with this center player board, we're still competing together while still going for these different corporations. And so I enjoyed that. It wasn't multiplayer solitaire in that sense. But the person to my right was interacting at one point with 10 different tableau cards while I had literally zero tableau cards and focusing on that mining track.
Ep4: And so I enjoyed that. It wasn't multiplayer solitaire in that sense, but the person to my right was interacting at one point with ten different tableau cards while I had literally zero tableau cards and focusing on that mining track. And so that was an interesting aspect of the game how we're all approaching it differently and yet playing that same game, if that makes sense. Yeah, I think it's
In-Person: So that was an interesting aspect of the game, how we're all approaching differently and yet playing that same game that makes sense. Yeah, I think it's the first game that I I feel like it takes sort of a base, like a pedestal, and applies a different framework each time. I know this has been tried in the past, but I don't know if any game's really been too successful
Ep4: First game that I I feel like it takes sort of a base, like a pedestal, and applies a different framework each time. I know this has been tried in the past, but I don't know if any game's really been too successful.
In-Person: doing that. I think what's interesting to me is Shacklin' Bass itself is how self-contained the game is. it can be complex, but it everything that you need to know to teach the game is actually printed on the board.
Ep4: I think what's interesting to me is Shackle and Base itself is how self-contained the game is. it can be complex but it everything that you need to know to teach the game is actually printed upon the board.
In-Person: a lot of games now get really expansive and they have all these different parts, removing parts.
Ep4: lot of games now get really expansive and they have all these different parts, moving parts. This game is almost more contracts to something very digestible. I I think also the the airy majority
In-Person: This game is almost more contracts to something very digestible. I I think also the the area of majority is where I have the most fun in this game. you have to use astronauts to exploit the moon.
Ep4: is where I have the most fun in this game. you have to use astronauts to exploit the moon, but then own the buildings in those rows that you're exploiting in order to get those astronauts back. So you're constantly trying to figure out where to play your buildings in order to get those astronauts to your player board. Because it's a lot of endgame scoring for doing that.
In-Person: But then own the buildings in those rows that you're exploiting in order to get those astronauts back. So you're constantly trying to figure out where to play your buildings in order to get those astronauts to your player board, because it's a lot of end game scoring for doing that.
Ep4: it basically kind of an elegant just system.
In-Person: it basically kind of an elegant just system.
Ep4: I mean each player will get six actions in each of three rounds. There's no additional economy for gaining extra workers or extra actions. It it kind of reminds me of how I'll get White Castle is. It tells you how many actions you have and what those workers can do specifically. And that's it. So when you play that area majority game and you apply the corporation framework on top of it, it just
In-Person: mean each player will get six actions in each of three rounds. There's no additional economy for gaining extra workers or extra actions. It it kind of reminds me of how elegant White Castle is. It tells you how many actions you have and what those workers can do specifically. And that's it. So when you play that area majority game and you apply the corporation framework on top of it, it just fits so simply think it's very impressive design. And I I would say, there's some entry barriers here. It's a heavier thing. it reminds me of a Listerda game where there's, hey, there's only three actions in this game, I believe. But that's not really the truth because every action you take have these secondary actions and secondary actions that just snowball. one thing that
Ep4: It's so there that think it's a very impressive design. And I I would say, there's some entry barriers here. It's a heavier game. it reminds me of a Lacerta game where there's, hey, there's only three actions in this game, I believe. But that's not really the truth because every action you take have these secondary actions and secondary actions that just snowball. one thing that I don't know if I really liked as much in my few plays is that every time every player was able to reach almost the very top of the reputation track. It wasn't that difficult to move on up it. Yeah, it it's definitely the most gamey.
In-Person: I don't know if I really liked as much in my viewplays is that every time every player was able to reach almost the very top of the reputation track. Yeah. It wasn't that difficult to move on up there. Yeah, it it's definitely the most gamey, weird kind of part of that game. It just it's
Ep4: It just it's
In-Person: too easy to move up, but the game wants you to move up so that it can apply some really harsh penalties to you.
Ep4: So that it can apply some really harsh penalties to you. it opens up ways to get more resources, but it's just very weird because you add those points for the reputation track at the end. It seems like if you didn't score points for that, it would be more interesting.
In-Person: and it opens up ways to get more resources, but it's just very weird because you add those points for the reputation track at the end. It seems like if you didn't score points for that, it would be more interesting,
Ep4: And for me, the graphics were okay. iconography was fine. It was understandable.
In-Person: So for me, the graphics were okay. iconography was fine, it was understandable.
Ep4: It didn't really pull me into the game too much. I loved what would you say? It's almost like an eighties look
In-Person: It didn't really pull me into the game too much. I loved what would you say? It's almost like an eighties look.
Ep4: to the game. That was enjoyable. It was a fun puzzle to figure out. I'll definitely play it again. I'm not itching to bring it back to the table. There were not that many like dopamine hits for me in this game.
In-Person: the game. That was enjoyable. It was a fun puzzle to figure out. I'll definitely play it again. I'm not itching to bring it back to the table. There were not that many like dopamine hits for me in this game. but enough to where I enjoy figuring out the puzzles and how to interact with each corporation. That was really enjoyable.
Ep4: but enough to where I enjoyed figuring out the puzzles and how to interact with each corporation. That was really enjoyable.
In-Person: Yeah well I love it. I I'd say it's not
Ep4: It's not
In-Person: a perfect game. There are some things that are a little weird. The the corporation cards, you just shuffle and you have
Ep4: The the corporation cards you just shuffle and you have
In-Person: two of them available, but maybe the one that
Ep4: Maybe the one
In-Person: you really want or need is somewhere buried in that stack and you just will not see it. So you if you want to interact with that corporation and that card stack sort of just stagnates there, you you kind of went down the wrong path a little bit. So
Ep4: You're never gonna get to it. Yeah. So if you want to interact with that corporation and that card stack sort of just stagnates there, you you kind of went down the wrong path a little bit. So I I don't know, there's there's some things about it that it's not gonna be you know a top five game for me. but I went and decked it out 3D print wise and it it looks
In-Person: I I don't know, there's there's some things about it that it's not gonna be, you know, a top five game for me. but I went and decked it out three D print wise and it it looks gorgeous now on the table. I have all the 3D printed domes and it's just I don't know, it just looks great there and I I love the air majority part of the game. So I'm gonna keep coming back to
Ep4: Gorgeous now on the table. I have all the 3D printed domes and it's just I don't know, it just looks great there. And I I love the air majority part of the game. So I'm gonna coming back to it. I like it a lot.
In-Person: it. I like it a lot.
Ep4: And I know a lot of people complained, I believe, of the price for the expansion. It was a pretty pricey expansion, but you got a a a decent amount in that expansion. It was just three corporations, but you also get some board extensions. you also get some more player powers and some
In-Person: The price for the expansion. It was a pretty pricey expansion, but you got a a decent amount in that expansion. It was just three corporations, but you also get some board extensions. you also get some more player powers and some different additions to the game. I believe the score track will give you different bonuses throughout, but there was enough in that expansion box that I was happy to have it. And I really liked how you can take those two boxes and combine it.
Ep4: Different additions to the game. I believe the score track will give you different bonuses throughout, but there was enough in that expansion box that I was happy to have it. And I really liked how you can take those two boxes and combine it where it's just one box. I really enjoyed that. It's packed full though. It is. But I couldn't even tell you how much the expansion costs. I just forgave them by. And so I don't know what they're gonna do next time. They're gonna ask to have to.
In-Person: Where it's just one box. I really enjoyed that. It's packed full though. But I couldn't even tell you how much the expansion cost. I just hurry up and buy. So I don't know what they're gonna do next time. They're gonna ask to have to do a Kickstarter for the big box. Come on. Exactly. Shack on the base big box.
Ep4: Do a Kickstarter for a deluxe box. Exactly. now that was our featured review. shackled and bass.
In-Person: now that was our featured review. Shackled and Bass from 2024, designed by Fabio Lopiano and the Story Mangoni, published by Sari. They're they're French. Thanks for joining us on the table.
Ep4: Thanks for joining us on TableFlips. Now get out there and play some games. Bye bye. Bye.
In-Person: Now get out there and play some games. Bye bye. Bye.
