Two spree killers. One last name. No relation... at least I certainly hope not.
This week on Melanin Mayhem, we're diving into the chilling cases of Arthur James Davis and Leon Davis Jr.—two melanated spree killers separated by four decades, hundreds of miles, and completely different motives, yet forever connected by a name they happen to share with your favorite country girl.
In 1966, one man's obsession and domestic violence left an entire family shattered in New Haven, Connecticut. More than 40 years later, another Davis would terrorize Central Florida in a case that escalated from robbery to unimaginable brutality.
What causes someone to snap? Were these crimes planned all along, or did something push each man over the edge? We'll examine the warning signs, the victims whose lives deserve to be remembered, and the decisions that turned two ordinary men into killers.
If you enjoy true crime podcasts, Black true crime, unsolved mysteries, criminal psychology, and lesser-known murder cases, this is an episode you don't want to miss.
🎙️ Press play... and remember, just because we share a last name doesn't mean we're claiming them.
