ACERCA DE ESTE EPISODIO
Seven months ago Hu Pennington found himself laying in a hospital bed being prepared for surgery.
The doctor told him she’d had two double shots of espresso to wake up properly, when a thought crossed his mind; ‘It'd be really embarrassing if I died right now.’
Hu is one of very few Australians who choose to altruistically donate a kidney.
He didn’t know who would receive it, but learnt his donation kicked off a chain that saved seven lives.
In this week's long listen, Hu tells Dave how he came to donate a kidney, why doctors turned him away at first and why he’s donating 10 per cent of his income, too.

- Hu Pennington, Effective Altruism Australia board member
