ACERCA DE ESTE EPISODIO
It’s musical chairs over here at Discourse Pod HQ: Jack is BACK from the U.K. but Producer Sam? She’s out this week. Third chair? Nowhere to be found. Jack is pulling double-duty, emerging from the London fog as…Producer Jack. So if this episodes “sounds” or “looks” “weird,” keep it to yourself!!!!!!This week Jack and I discussed:
* The really crazy headline from ABC: “Mayor Mamdani says he’ll attend 9/11 ceremony despite growing criticism”
* Remembering Joe Biden saying, “Tomorrow, I’m doing 9/11”
* Remembering this Splinter post where Rudy Giuliani put AirPods in his big dinosaur skull
* Macklemore finding himself in hot water for shouting, “Free Palestine” while opening for…Ed Sheeran? P!nk got involved? So did Boy George???
* And we of course found ourselves reviewing the 2014 Grammy nominees
* In our subscribers-only After Dark segment, we got into this very silly (but fun!) Data For Progress poll asking which TV characters Americans consider “working class”
This week’s cultural recommendations:
* Jack recommends going on vacation
* Aleks recommends Gary Winnick’s 13 Going on 30
