Most people that's what people say in the industry. A shepherd of love, Danny Sellers. And when I bring you on this voyage of of love, love making, love finding, love capturing. Yeah. I do it with one of the best in the world. That's what people are saying. I think Variety said that last week. They did actually. One of the best niggas in the world. Yeah. Torrance, wine to Mexican Torrance. Ooh, we out here. We out here. We don't we're doing our big one today. This is a great black Fiscal day. Mm-hmm. ⁓ New setup. Yeah, we're in my apartment. Yeah, gang. We're in my apartment. Look, this this is this is V one of the apartments going you it's gonna get bigger, black or whatever, but you know, this is this will be hopefully where it it kind of looks like this all the time. Yeah. Give or take type shit. Paintings and, you know, shelvings in the back and some hose in the in the corner. Looking at us. Looking at it, just staring there. Is that what this about to be? Kind of. Is that what this is gonna be? Just more or less. Just like ⁓ my god. ⁓ my god, y'all are so funny. Are you recording or not? Can I get an air can I say something? So what ya what y'all would do? Shout out to my young king. When we go to that thing, why would y'all never be doing this? Okay. ⁓ Why don't y'all why don't my men don't be doing that? Like, okay. Little Sharice. What is that? Huh? What you zipping on, nigga? Mescal. And orange juice? Yeah. Mescalita. That's ⁓ calcium. Plus orange juice. This was healthy. Ooh, this is healthy. I'm actually getting my bones is getting strong, guys. Yeah. This is ⁓ another black week. Good a good week in Los Angeles. It's hot. It's hot in LA. Hot as hell. Most people are musty. Most people are musty. Most people are disgusting. ⁓ versus was great. Look, Versus was really perfect for me as a future black old head that has some trauma in his life. This past versus with Donnell Jones. And Joe. ⁓ my god, Jones in my bum on you What? I wanna if I can sing, I would sing Lily, ⁓ my goodness Welcome to Data And that's what it is. You sing and go, ⁓ girl. Yeah, that versus that versus was for niggas that have a a 2013 Lexus. To keep it clean. Yeah. It's the weekend car. That felt that felt good. It felt like there was there was some healing. Yeah. Unhealed. Yes. Unhealed. But healing in the sense of Great music. We're talking about music. We talk we talking about great music again. ⁓ yeah, absolutely. You know? Yeah, but the the niggas, the niggas that's perfect. Like if you if you owe back child support, that versus was for you. I know a lot of niggas that owe back child support. I was listening to Donnell Jones. Like, I'm gonna get I'm gonna I'm gonna catch up with it. I'ma do it. I'ma catch up. You know what I'm saying? Like, yeah, ⁓ I'm I'm behind, you know. 22, but you still paying child support because you you cut Where I wanna be is and I don't think people really listen to the lyrics of that song. Well, so you know a s I have a story about that. please. We must. I I got broken up too by that song. Wait, maybe you did. It was a lot more. ⁓ girl in college. You know what UNC, ⁓ girl from UNC. So this is also coming from a little bit more. Y'all y'all feel ⁓ my god. No, this is actually the most insane thing I've ever heard in my life. So we I was dating this girl like senior college. And ⁓ it was like we we were never like in a committed thing, but we were like, Day, you know, this is this is peak this is peak Danny just like immature, not really understanding chivalry at all type shit. Danny missions. Yeah, Danny missions field trips even field trips. And ⁓ so anyways, I was dating this girl for like probably seven, eight months, whatever. I mean like didn't go to her we were date, didn't go to graduation. I was like, I don't know if I don't know. Like this stupid shit. Like just not like not thinking clearly. So anyways, it's ⁓ it senior years over, I can't remember where she went to school, but I moved to where she was living, like where she was from. I right after school. ⁓ that's right. So we were in the same city. Uh-huh. And I'm just kinda doing the bare minimum. Anyways, after a while, I think she had just met her now husband too, around this time. So it was like, ⁓ she found an actual good person and I'm over here bushing. So I think she was breaking off, she was breaking off with me. And and she sends me this song from Donnell Jones. She said, you know, this is kind of how I'm feeling right now. So in my, you know, 21-year-old brain not knowing the song, I'm like, ⁓ she's singing to me a song. ⁓ she fuck with me heavy. She fucked me heavy. Like, yeah, I still got it. I ain't doing shit, but she's still on my fucking body hard. You know what I'm saying? She's like, Yeah, I want you to listen to and like this is kinda how I'm feeling right now. So I'm like, all right, so I'll listen to it. You know. You know, someone just don't treat a bit. I'm like, who's okay, what? Now that I wanna leave. Now that I wanna leave? Hold on. Now what's is that is a certain certain is there another verse coming that's gonna say the opposite of what? Cause I didn't say this. not where you want to be. What do you mean where you you're not you're not where you wanna be? Like I get it. We go we just graduated, we're transitioning, like you know ⁓ that is hilarious. So I listened to that song. I was like, hold on, what the fuck? It was flawless execution. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm I was like, ⁓ this is This is what you should do. I guess you send breakup songs to people. That's kinda tight, actually. Yeah. I kinda love that. I never told you that story? N I think you I think you may have mentioned it in passing, but you never like gave it detail. Like you just gave it detail. This is and you may have that may have still been like a ⁓ shit. Like I don't wanna I was broke, broke too. I think y'all y'all had went to like Atlantic Greek picnic too. But like I was like so broke, fresh out of school, 21 years old, staying at Tamika's ⁓ a condo in in Charlotte. And I didn't even have money to go to Atlantic Greek picnic, which is like this. I don't know, they still do AGP? I think they still do AGP. Or at least they did it a couple of years ago. I stopped g I I hit stop on that. Yeah. I was like, I don't need I don't need this. But Atlantic Greek picnic was like the if you went to school in the southeast, that was the thing to do. Jesus. Like it was crazy. It was insanity. The hotel the the hotels crazy. It was like spring break, but like for like black people on my one day I'm gonna tell a story about what happened I need to know in in in AGP. One day I will. Cause I was that that you talking about this same year after our senior year. Yeah. Cause me, Carl, and Juice went going into our senior year. And then me, Kyle and Carl went. Yeah, and I was supposed to go to that but I had no money. Yeah, yeah. But yeah, that was That was ⁓ AGP was like and the thing about AGP it was also one of those years where you one of those things where you if you came with like an equipped group of niggas, it was even better. Like yeah. Four or five people you knew four or five people was like, are we gonna you boom, boom, boom, boom. Like you can get into some shit by just freestyling, but also if you had like a court like a coordinated effort going into AGP, mm-hmm, it was I'm sure there's a lot of Greek babies that came out of That was it was like Freaknik on this kind. It was a little, it was a little, it gave Freaknik vibes of just like, you know, again, I obviously we weren't allowed for Freaknik, but it was like well, you know, for when it was really, really like locked in, like not old enough to even think about it, but like the that documentary, I was like, this is AG this kind of AGP for real. Like it was And this was the onset, this is also the onset of social media. So you got people that You know, ⁓ I might ⁓ I now follow the you know, whatever. Again, one day I'll tell a story. One day I will. It ain't today. Today ain't the day. But one day today could be the day. No, I don't think so. I'll tell that some. I actually gotta tell that off camera and then I'll tell it off camera. And edit it. We'll edit it in post. Yeah, edit it in post. That's disgusting. ⁓ let's get to some current events then. ⁓ RP, Michael Wright. ⁓ The Heartbeats. Actor. What was this? Eddie Kane. Eddie Kane from the Heartbeat. Singing. It took me what year did you realize the five heartbeats weren't a real group? Two thousand. Like, no, seriously. It was it was ⁓ I think I was Maybe I was in college. Yeah. Maybe I was in college when I re like when someone was like You know that doesn't really You know you know I love a ha five heartbeats. Huh? Right. You you the the movie? No, the group. Yeah. Huh Huh. It's like black it was like Santa Claus for black people. Hold on, you mean he's not real? What you mean he I spent my whole life really the that No, it's like this. Uhhuh. Yeah, that was that was a that was a really good I mean if and and shout out to Robert Townsend too. That's like the GOAT, truly, truly a GOAT. Really good black movies. I thought that was they was a r I thought Eddie K was a real nigga. Yeah. I guess it was it was based off of the temptations, yeah, yeah. More or less, like that kind of era of whatever. But it ⁓ had me thinking, what's the what are the best biopics? And we're talking about black. Of course. ⁓ I think I think the Temptations, you know, is really great. One of the the best ever. Still don't really know how Blue died. It's like the last scene there all eating dinner and he's like he's like the the the turkeys in the ovens. Let me go get it. Let me go get it, Mama. Let me go get let me go get the turkey. No, you sure? Let me let me just go get it. And then then like two minutes later she walks in. ⁓ Like, how did this nigga die in 90 seconds? Do we mama? I I got it, mama. Maybe his heart just gave out. I don't know. That's a that's a good question. I didn't hear that. Bruh, it's I kinda almost forgot about that until you brought it up. And I'm like Don't worry, don't worry, Mama. I got it mama. And no one said anything either. There was no like he he died of a you know Yeah, that nothing came across the screen. He just went and got the fucking ham out the oven. Don't worry, mama. I got it, mama. He didn't hear him grunt. We didn't have him fall. He would've he would have fell. At least something. She won't No Credits. That could have given us little Avengers ⁓ you know, in credit scene of how the nigga died and something, you know. At least one in credit scene, please. Blue blue returns to in in temptations two. Like, what the fuck? Yeah, that was the what was the alcoholic nigga's name in the In Temptation? ⁓ dude that was hitting on his wife and shit. You know what I'm talking about, right? I I got I do I gotta look at that. ⁓ it was a sensational movie and a sensational cast. The Temptation's still torn too. The IC Brothers and Temptation is still torn. I I would love to be the alt ter alt. Nigga in like the temptation. That just keep the I'm the twenty twenty six version. I'm like, yeah, I'm you I'm I'm twenty si I'm twenty seven. ⁓ Yeah. I'm twenty seven. I saw the movie twice. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I I fuck with that. I I grew up on your music, ⁓ 'cause my granddaddy Yeah. My granddaddy, he used to play you all the time. Yeah, imagine being like thirty eight on the temptations tour. Them niggas old as fuck. Yes. Yes. You just like, I guess we fucking these old these old ladies. And it's so funny. I didn't even I didn't even recognize it. I I knew when they were like, ⁓ the temptation is still torn or whatever. But it they did a performance on like it was like Jimmy Kim or like like Kelly Clarkson show something like that where I was like That nigga young. Yeah, yeah. That nigga, why he look like he? He 30. He look he 32 years old. That boy looks like clean cut, just like moving. I I honestly think best of all time, black all time, the Jackson 5, American Dream. Please debate me. I won't debate you on it. It's long as fuck. I think it's very well done. But it covers so much ground. It covers so much ground. It answers all the questions we all the issues we have about biopics. Like they didn't get to the didn't. Yeah, they didn't. It touches damn near everything. It does. It does a really great job of it. Amazing cast. Yeah. A amazing like depiction of like his story, right? Their story as a as a family in a way that was like, ⁓ shit, them boys had it hard. Yeah. Yeah, sure, sure. ⁓ I would say that you have it Ray might be my favorite. I mean, I think Ray was the best performance. Jamie's crazy. I think Ray, I think Ray was the best biopic performance we've ever seen. From look to talent, you know, the performing actually. Performing in it, like actually doing the things in it. Yeah, it was like I mean, I mean the I I never watched the Bohemian Rhapsody joint. I never watched the Elton John joint. I never wa I mean I I never watched the James Brown joint, but I don't really feel like ⁓ I did watch that. That was Was he was he singing though? Was was he singing on that? No, Chappa wasn't. I know. I feel like Jamie could sing all the songs that Ray could sing. And he did. You know what I'm saying? And he d and he s he s and it was ⁓ it was it was just so so so good. But I will also say another s singing ass one that while She didn't sing was Love Got to do with it. Tina? Ooh. Angela? Angela? And as Tina? What? Baby? I was like, wow. What love? What? Numb numb your hot and get killed. Num baby? When she bust that shit out, I was like, it's over. So many quotables. Do you how many times I tell somebody eat the cake? ⁓ She looked beautiful though. No, no, no. One of my f that's also a a a crazy insane Lawrence playing Ike Turner? That was what? I'm gonna bring back the Ike Turner wig. I couldn't I didn't hate a nigga more than Ike Turner. Ike Turner wig for sure. Yeah, he was e he was an evil nigga. They don't make evil niggas like that anymore, I don't think. Yeah, and I and I like that. It might it might like Chris Brown might be the last evil nigga that that like we allow Like bra like everybody knows it's evil, we just let ⁓ get get away with it. ⁓ d y'all let I don't. I don't listen to Chris Brown. I don't I don't say I don't. I can't. Sorry. Yeah, I don't yeah, and I'm and I'm this is gonna sound crazy. I'm you I'm I am somewhat of the sense of at a certain point I'm gonna separate the person from the art 'cause most of these people are genuinely evil. No, this is the thing. I think I think if we try to go down the character list behind closed doors Most people that we that are famous are kind of sketchy, if not ⁓ problematic. Where there be w even going to Jay Z and Beyonce, you think of economic shit. Like to be a billionaire, you can't just be like really a no, there's no ethical billionaires. I will always say there's no ethical billionaire. Somebody getting scammed over, somebody getting cut up. And I and I will agree. But when you do especially heinous crimes, when you were, when you are, you know what I mean? Like I don't listen to I don't I don't listen to Chris. D V is crazy. ⁓ I do think there's like it's kind of some hypocrisy there. We're like, ⁓ this person's bad, but it's like you think James Brown wasn't an evil nigga? You listen to James Brown. I'm not ⁓ again, all I'm saying is If he did some crazy shit and the shit came out, damn fuck him. That was crazy. That was horrible. You're a horrible motherfucker. But some people we know they was evil. And and if you if I know you evil, I don't support evil people. I support evil. I don't know what you're listening to. Sure. Cause it 'cause I f I feel like I wanna test this theory. Perfectly fine. It's like a lot of people we can we can do this. Unless it's like J. Cole and Elton John, I think everybody else is pretty evil. My Spotify age, I'll let niggas know right now. My Spotify age, because you know they gave it age for it. It's eighty fucking two. Do you know why? Yeah, yeah. It and here's the thing, I listen to y younger people too, but I'll I'll be listening to this shit. This is the shit I'll be listening to. Well click on the niggas can't see what you're talking about. Motherfucker Like I see ⁓ Label. Yeah. John Lucian. Uh-huh. ⁓ 112. Somebody 112 definitely hit that girl once probably. They did, they did. John Coltrane. Yeah, you sound like he did some evil shit for sure. Destin. You got Tina Marie on there? Yeah, of course I got Tina Marie on here. Try the Tina Marie. Holding it down. I don't be listening to people. I really don't. You got Robert Robert Glass was just like a good guy. ⁓ yeah, yeah, for sure. I've been listening to I've been listening to nice clean shit. Okay. If you evil and you be doing evil shit, I don't support you. What? And I and I found you doing evil shit. You did to me, bitch. Yeah. ⁓ I g yeah. Yeah. I mean there's I think I I think it's hard to ⁓ You do you did write this down and while it is not a biopic, I will always claim it as one of the greatest musicals to ever ⁓ exist, which is Dream Girls. I thought I was based off of Will you drink? Is that based off of ⁓ it's like it's not a biopic. Sure, sure, sure. But it's like the five heartbeats. Exactly. It's inspired by Patty LaBeille or no? No, ⁓ Dinah Ross. And like the ⁓ the Supremes. ⁓ okay. Yeah, the Supremes. So it's like the Beyonce for me. Shout out to Beyonce. Shout out, shout out to a Nikonani Rose. Anika Nani Rose. She played ⁓ Tiana and Tiana's ⁓ Princess and the Frog. She's a OG. Like truly, truly a ⁓ fantastical. ⁓ yeah, no, yeah. ⁓ Jennifer Hudson as well. ⁓ yeah, Jenna, yeah. That was also fun because it was Eddie Murphy acting the ass. Yeah. That was great. We need we need another Eddie Murphy album, I think. I think so too. Something a little a little chaotic. Eddie Murphy one of most randomest talented ass niggas. And it's like it's it's almost like he's good enough to do something, but not good enough to do it all, if that makes sense. Like he good enough he good enough to sing and it'd be like Okay, that don't sound bad, but it's not like I can't wait to listen to this. That's what I mean. Like it's not like, ⁓ I got to put on this Eddie Murphy. But that's the key. Eddie Murphy might be the best of us because he's done enough things to like for us to love him, but he never he rarely he he overdid the movies a little bit, but then he immediately stopped. He got he got like he got like Pluto Nash off. He was like, All I gotta chill. And that was crazy. Pluto Nash was fucking good. But he like chilled. He still has some of my favorite movies. I think like The Golden Child will always be saying forty eight hours. Forty eight hours. He like he like went away. He went away for legitimately like ten, fifteen years. Let me chill. Yeah. And then came back with like Dolomite as my name like some other shit. And so it's like he he he's pretty self-aware to be like, all right, I'm tripping. Yeah. That was actually crazy. Actually, I didn't need five Dr. Doolittles. You know what I'm saying? I'm tweaking little bit. But where most niggas would just would have never ever stopped. Like But my girl likes to party all time. If I w if it was 87 and that came on. And I'm fucking I got my you what I'm saying, my Geo Metro and you know, some A leather suit? Some high w yeah, some leather on. Just leather leah, yeah, yeah. ⁓ my god. Skin tight leather. It's some it's some poofy hair, some cocaine. I'm in the ⁓ yeah. Ca I you know, I've always ⁓ all his ⁓ his stuff, it just feels very like Yeah, I'm rolling. I'm rolling if I'm putting this shit on. I don't do Coke, but I feel like if if we didn't know Coke was bad, I maybe we would have done Coke back then. I think back then they did. What are you talking about? I don't know if they knew cocaine was bad. I think they knew cocaine was bad, but they thought it was just such a fun party drug that it was like, ⁓ Like I think for that first summer people didn't know crack was bad. Like the first summer crack hit, I don't think people really knew it was bad. I don't think they knew it was addictive. I think that it's a drug. So people like, ⁓ this is like you know, I think I think there was an era where drugs were kind of like low key. Like again, people did heroin short. I think heroin was kinda fucking like after Vietnam and shit, I guess he was like fucked up off of like opioids and shit. But like I don't think people was like, we know crack is gonna be bad. But that first summer, that first summer. It's like COVID. Remember that first summer COVID was it's lit, nigga. And then we realized the rest of our lives gonna be kind of ruined like socially and economically by COVID. I don't I think people knew that COVID was bad from the onset. COVID? Like people were killing. People in our 20s. We were in our twenties during COVID. That first summer, we were like, yo, this is the best shit ever. I got money. I don't have to work. ⁓ you know what I'm saying? I'm at the crib. I'm working from home. I'm like, we didn't realize how much it was gonna derail our lives. I can understand what you're saying from the from the idea of like the lasting effects of it. People didn't understand the ramifications of COVID. But I think people knew but but like and that's the s that's what that's the parallel I'm doing. I'm like people knew COVID was bad. They may not have knew that it was gonna be an epidemic or pandemic, right? The same thing with the crack shit. I think the first 200 niggas that did crack was like, yeah, we tripping, but this is like cigarettes. That's an interesting I think so. I think I think the first two hundred fifty things was doing crack, yo, this this is kind of crazy. This is a crazy little moment. How would you know? How would you know what it's gonna do to you? It wasn't like it was on the on the it was with no warning labels like, yo, by the way, this shit gonna make you steal car radios. Cause look look at crack now. People that the fact that we know It ruined a generation and a half of people. People like if you do crack, if you if I see you doing crack right now, it's like this is insane. People do all kind of other designer drills on ketamine and shit. People are on that kind of shit. But like I I can I can a la carte crack off the street. Oof. Oof. I don't think they really fully knew, bro. Okay. I mean it is it was a government plant, so I can't it's like Celsius. Niggas drinking sell like niggas like vaping. People that are vaping now. We're gonna look in fifteen years and their fucking the top of their skull is exposed. Vapors are in the vapors are pretty insane. And I'm so sorry if you vape out there and you take offense to this and you over here turn you you you squirming and you're but vaping Jesus. I'm actually not a f I'm actually not gonna apologize because it's disgusting. It's really intense. It's really intense. If you're vaping a little bit of weed, sure, you're taking a couple hits at a time and you're chilling. But if you're constantly vaping, are you going through A cartridge of and you fucking blowing bubblegum fucking kiwi in my in my face. Please go somewhere with that shit. Please. I can't stand. Like I was in the movies one time and somebody's disgusting. And you all you smell is just like a blueberry, raspberries. Like I'm like, y'all need help. It's like computer air. Yeah. And you can't wait. No, because it's that addictive. If you can't wait. I respect cigarette smokers more than vapors. C cigarettes smell so bad. But I can respect you. At least you all right I got I went and bought a pack. I got a lighter. I'm sitting outside. I'm smoking. I'm it's conversational. It's a little five, six. And I think that's what gets to people too is that cigarettes, you gotta go outside for that. You gotta think it's like I'm in my fucking bedroom under the covers. Like a fucking crack. Under the covers is hilarious. That's what you know just I mean, look at somebody ever looking you in the fucking eye. Yeah, ain't nothing worse than somebody like I respect so many more people than I I respect people that do dip more than I respect vapors. No, I'm okay. I'm okay. You do a zen, you pop a zen. I respect people that do zens more than I respect vape because it's like at least What the fuck is a zen? Like the little tobacco pouches. And what you do with that? You put on your under your lip. Under the ⁓ I did I re ⁓ college. I never did it. I never did it. You wanna hear another funny story? Yes. Alright, so I'm in college. You know what I was listening to last week's episode. I'm around the stories. Well won't but like I told a lot of stories last week. You did. You told a lot of stories. That's kinda traumatic too. I like, damn, this is crazy. You were divulging. But it was kind of a vibe. I think people like You sharing and it was it was good. No. People need stories. Yeah, people I think people wanna know I wanna know. I like no. I'm gonna do I wanna be a background singer at versus like hard bottom zone, my shit all the way down. Cause them niggas don't be singing for real for real. They be you know. I can get I can get that all. In the background. I can get that off. With some ⁓ all white hard bottles on in the fucking fedora, nigga. I this how he sounded that's how the niggas sound anyway. No, they d they weren't that bad. And it's hard to be a background singer. ⁓ It's hard as shit. I gotta do this. ⁓ I say background for two people and I was like, this is This is a lot. It's a it's a lot. I would love to do a tiny desk. In the background with tiny desk, you do a tambourine or something. And just lean it to the light with you and you go back to your tambourines. Keep my mic real ⁓ low. You can't. You gotta take the light if that's the sound. I wait I I can't wait for you to hear it. I can't wait for you to hear yourself. Could you imagine? All the other mic turn all the mics off. Exactly. ⁓ Ew, I'm so sorry if y'all listen to this shit. Ew. That shit fire. All right. So anyways, we were in college. ⁓ so spring break. So like this is a we were like at the end of our little situation. We were about to cross. We're, you know, f in fraternities. And Kyle, our fraternity brother, nigga you've heard here and there on this podcast in the background, he lived with a bunch of white boys. And I play football with a bunch of white boys. And in North Carolina, white people Dip, like chew tobacco. Like it's a popular thing in the down south, whatever. Like I remember I'll never forget my freshman year going into the football season. I'm like brand new freshman. Hot, dog days of summer. Like around this time, literally around this time, August. And ⁓ I would have teammates of mine, old white offensive linemen, white boys putting on their pads, but they would be dipping before practice. Like it's hot. Cause you dip, you you have to spit, so you're like dehydrating yourself. These motherfuckers would be dipping before practice. I said you were this is a different kind of white boy. Yeah, this is this sounds so nasty. Anyway, so we we were ⁓ it was spring break. I think it was me, Kyle, and maybe Chris. And Chris. We were at all at Kyle's house, and we couldn't really drink while we were, you know, going through a little process. Well you didn't You could, but like you would get caught up. Yeah, like you know. Yeah, well, yeah, we I were not twenty one. So it was like getting it was also like a yeah, it was You know, it was it was harder to do. It wasn't like the city where you just pop in somewhere. Uhhuh. And then so we're we we're eighteen, so we can get we could get tobacco. Literally, you can you can get you can get stuff. You can get black and miles and sh but so we was sitting that week, we just like pretty much haze so Chris is the nigga we went to D C for for his engagement party. People that are listening, connecting the dots. So this is how far back ⁓ me and all these niggas go. And ⁓ we're it's me, Kyle and Chris in Kyle's apartment and we're just chewing tobacco. And just like making fun of Chris for like four days straight. Y'all bullied him. For four days straight. Cause Chris is a year younger than us. So we're just like me and me and Kyler kind of always been like, you know, assholes. Somewhere. Let's just say that. Assholes. So it was just us just like kind of roasting Chris. And then we would it would between that and then we would also look at like vlogs of like parties. We were so deprived from like Yeah, like we were on we were pledging and like for black paternities you can't like But that's not give to No saying you just you're not like also being social ⁓ during that yeah during that you're supposed to kinda like focus on your shit So we were like ⁓ we are eager to be around people kick you whatever spring break like it's spring break in college we were not ⁓ somewhere having fun. Yeah yeah yeah So we would like YouTube these Early like vlogs, like these kids going to different colleges and like pregaming. And that shit was like pornography. ⁓ my god, this is so this is so cool. They're having so much fun. Yeah, we just like we smacked off dip, just like drooling. They're having so much fun. That shit was yeah, that was a fun. That's when life was simple. Like we had no bills, we just doing a dip for no re that's probably the last time I ever did dip. And I can't even fathom the idea to be like you last. I not get me wrong, I did do a black ⁓ out. I have done a black and mile. I I done maybe smoke the black. I d I didn't d I didn't did a black and mile back in the day for sure. But that's I think the extent of like my like cigarette. Tobacco sort of I did cigars for a little while. We would smoke cigars a little bit in college. And then after I was smoking a cigar here and there and then and then I may have smoked like took a couple of hits of a cigarette like four times. Yeah, I've never did a cigarette. And I thought I was gonna do a cigarette when I went to France. I really did. I thought I you honestly should have I should have did it because they were everywhere. Like when I s they were everywhere. And I should have at did like a little I don't enjoy them. That's the thing. Let me get a fuck but I knew I wouldn't enjoy it. But it's just the fact that like the thing is I can enjoy a cigar. Like it's an enjoying experience you know you know whatever. But the cigarette is felt too harsh on my fucking lungs. Your whole body I hate this. And I like I don't know if I this is actually my bag, but ⁓ I'll do it if if you if I will s not I will not finish a cigarette, but if I'm in the right scenario and with like a fine baddie and I'm like in a cool environment, I'll take five hits of a s of a cigarette. Just for the plot of it all. Is that too much? No, that's fine. Who the fuck you texting, nigga? Nobody. We on air. Shut up. What the fuck you talking about? All right, let's get into the body of today's episode. Torrent sent me this video of this nigga pretty much, I think, overdosing on a date. Yeah. And that seemed crazy. And I mean I maybe I can insert the video. I don't know. I should have got the audio back. Uh-huh. But Buddy was literally, he was literally like So funny. Eating the potato and the skin was on the potato. He was he was eating with his he was eating a salad with his hands, dressing all over his hands. It looked like they was at like longhorn or some shit. He was hot. And he's just like eating and talking to her. And she's like, This is the worst day I've ever been. Cause it cause again, she's like, I had to record because you wouldn't believe what. I was experiencing At the same time though, I think some people I if someone's that cooked, I'm leaving. Well, that's again. I would have just paid and left. 1,000%. Right. Brother, you get home safe. I pay the check. I'm out this bitch. I'm out. I can't do this. It looked like Cheesecake Factory. She had $80 to to pay the fucking bill. You know what mean? Like it look it was very but it it was it was it looked it was scary looking. It was actually like frightening. Yeah, he was he was some if I mean it's something and it was like a It looked like ranch on the stuff. Like it was if you if you dig in your hands and you eating that and you just th that's crazy. That's scary. And it got me thinking, what is the worst date experience that you've had? All right, so I don't honestly someone asked me this after a show the other day. I don't have that many bad date experiences. Aren't you lucky? No, I have some uncomfortable well, first of I've only been single really as an adult for whatever. four years, give or take. Three and a half post marriage, and then you can count, you know, a year or so after school. That's true. Okay. But like dating, dating as an adult. I really has I really wasn't dating as an adult until post marriage. Everything else was kinda like little situationships. Might get something to eat, you know, but like I wasn't let's t me take you out for drinks type shit. When I was twenty two years old. You know twenty years old. Okay, okay. So that's that's one one thing. Two I I my first I would say year I wasn't on the dating apps post divorce. So I'm meeting people only that I've already known. ⁓ I remember how anti dating apps you were. Yeah, I mean I and I still kind of am. Yeah. But no no, but you back then it was I'm not getting on that shit. Yeah, exactly. I'm getting on that shit. And I was like, meanwhile me on it was like, yeah, it's like I just deleted my Raya ⁓ last week. I can't this I'm this is this is done. Yeah. ⁓ hinges damn near soon to follow. I'm like I I'm I'm locking. It's over. Yeah, yeah. ⁓ So that's my that's my sample size. So one example, I was I mean, this is one of my first dates off the apps. I was living here and her all her pictures were kind of ambiguous. And I met her in person. And we're and I've also made the mistake of texting for like a week before we met up. So in that that text like I'm I'm kind of of the a mindset if I get you ⁓ we s link off of ⁓ dating app. I don't really want to give you my number necessarily until either we're immediately about to make plans, like, hey, we're meeting tomorrow. Here's my number. Boom, boom, boom. Or after the first date. Okay. I rarely give my number out before I'm immediately meeting. Like I don't want to text now, knowing what I know now. It's a false sense of intimacy when you just text somebody. Okay. A bunch. All right. So, ⁓ so boom. So then we get get to the date. She's more awkward than I thought, and she's kinda hit. And I'm but but this is also fresh divorce, Danny Brain. She's okay, this is sound crazy. Yeah. So make it yeah, say say it. She had a cool job and a fat ass. So I entertained. Freshy after a freshy divorce? You had a cool you you a photographer with fat ass. I gotta still entertain it at that point in twenty twenty three. ⁓ what a time. I had it Torrance. What a time. Entertain it. Because she because the the vibes are weird, but she had like cool stories. Can't wait to hear about your job. She had really. I can't wait to hear about what you do for work. She had really we went to a second spot. Her job was so cool. It's like, let's go to the second spot. Why not? And I'll but That doesn't sound like a bad day. It to go to a second spot, my heavens. Yeah, no, I mean it was but it was one of those things where I'm like, I don't want anybody to see me here. ⁓ okay now 2026, Danny. If for me to be outside with you, you gotta be some kind of really cool inner pressure for me to be like, let's go on a date. And that's superficial. No no no no I recognize. I'm not I'm not disagreeing with you. I was out to eat last weekend. Somebody recognized me and I was on I was having lunch with a shorty in Highland Park. Not even my neighborhood in Highland Park. D Danny? ⁓ my god. Someone said your name, your name? Yeah, that she came over to the fucking table. ⁓ I like worked with her, but she like I didn't know her from work. She follows me, which I didn't realize either. And she came over to the fucking table. ⁓ my god, Danny. And I was with a girl too. And it was like, ⁓ hi. Yeah. I get I didn't know who she was. Yeah, whatever. Anyways. So like I for me to be outside It's gotta be a certain kind. So it wasn't a bad day, but it was just like this is this is divorce goggles. Kind of date. Another day was just like the girls just loud and she was weird. Like she was you know, you go to these cities where the tables are against the wall. So like every damn near it's like a foot or and a half between each table. So you can hear the next table's conversation if you're quiet for ten seconds. Mm-hmm. So I'm sitting there similar to thing. I'm like divorce goggles and this girl Kept hit me up to like link, but I wasn't really pressed and I like, you know what, sure, let me just once again, I'm back outside. Let me just entertain people who like her trying to kick it. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And we get there, she's obviously a a fucking mentally unwell person. And she's talking about all these roommates that she had, has had and had that don't fuck with her anymore. And how this is all like their fault. Like on a pr like a date kinda hang kind of thing. So she's the problem. And she's and she's talking like the like the way I'm talking like out loud. Mm-hmm. You send that during that be so what's going on? Yeah, so how is ⁓ Exactly? She's like So this she like fucking hates me. And like I don't understand why. She and ⁓ and this is like twenty five minutes. And that's when you and it's people on the either side of us. And then once again, s ⁓ some other comedians walked in. ⁓ what's up, Dana? You a date? I'm like, nah, children. ⁓ ⁓ Danny, you that Danny Sellers, you know Danny Danny, Danny, ⁓ that happens a lot. How y'all know each other? I when I'm outside, and this is this is years before I even had any kind of little bit of following. I would run into people every probably third date, I'm gonna run into somebody I know. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Whether it be a dinner, whether it be, you know, just getting a lunch somewhere, like I'm gonna run into somebody's I'm you know, comedian. Popular I mean, I'm just saying. That's that's that's what it sounds like to It's popular. My worst date. Somebody didn't let you beat his pissed off. ⁓ no, it was actually so wor so far worse than that. ⁓ please tell us. ⁓ this this nigga was insistent on picking me up. I'm gonna pick you up. That's strange. Brandon, this is I'm in my twenties. Okay, this is early. This is early. This is early. Early LA. This is young early LA. Okay, okay. Insistent on picking me up. Okay. it was around my birthday time, but he was like, I'm gonna take you out for your birthday. I wanna like do whatever. And was like, Okay, cool. Like that sounds nice. ⁓ what a nice gentleman nigga. He he picks me up. We go to the restaurant, I don't even remember where it was. Uh-huh. ⁓ but the entire time I was there. It was almost like it was a therapy session for him. How old was he? Do you remember? ⁓ he was older. Ooh. Like he was older. Like in I would say like close to thirty, if not thirty. And I'm like twenty-four, twenty-five. Back that's a big guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I'm like I'm like twenty-four-ish, like around that yeah. You fret, you barely barely know like Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't really know, whatever. ⁓ but I studied psychology, so I was like listening and then I was like, it it and again, never asked a single question about me. Really? Like I How were the conversations beforehand? Was it were they like it felt like this was a good vibe? Was it insightful? Yeah, it felt like it was a good vibe. It was like, ⁓ you're interested in me. We were going back a f a little bit, like there was some flirtiness. ⁓ okay, cool. You want to take me out for around my birthday? That sounds cool. That actually sounds really nice. That would be really kind for you to do around my birthday time. That sounds really, really cool. ⁓ and so the entire time, ⁓ it was like a a lot of him just like getting stuff off like. ⁓ yeah, so this happened to me. And you find and I'm finding out things as I'm going through. Yeah. That this motherfucker is actually a little unstable. Really? ⁓ he starts talking about similar to old girl who was like, ⁓ yeah, like, you know, they don't like me. No, no, no, no, no. Like somebody who is literally like, Yeah, so you know, ⁓ I think one of them was he had got or he had stabbed somebody. Who what? And so he's like telling like domestic situation? Not a domestic, but just like Like I Buying Crack? Yeah, it was like a s it was a situation and and somehow he and again I was like I need to get out of here. Mind you, I rode with this nigga. So woof woof, right? Right. ⁓ so he's like, yeah, like I ended up like, you know, sort of stabbing him. But like it was because of and like giving me the whole spirit and I'm I'm like I now I have to be like the n What? ⁓ my God. They are so fret. They are so protecting your stomach. Okay. So my that is I can't believe they did that to you. You had every right. As he's cutting up a steak. Literally. So how to stab it. And and again, I was actually afraid for my life. I'm like, you had every right to do this. You had every right to protect yourself and to do all this stuff. And then we got on the topic of his ex. And then it got nasty. It got weird. It got dangerous. Like he On some DVD, yeah, like D V shit, but like never saying that he did it. And it was another guy. And it was another guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he just kept going on and on about how, like, you know, fuck him. He just he just so just like, you know. And I'm over it, but like and I'm I'm like, wow, this is so and like again, my birthday dinner that you said you wanted to take me out for my birthday. I rode with you here. Yeah. Found out that you indeed stabbed someone. Right, boom. Have stabbed someone in your life. Right? Like again, the idea of stabbing, like the in ooh, that is Yeah, that's that's intimate. That's an intimate So question question for D how often do you feel like this could be a really broad question, but I'm just curious as you're talking. Mm-hmm. Do you feel like dating in the queer space that your dates are like themed around trauma? And that sounds very like that sounds like widespread, but you know what I'm saying? You know, people are in probably different spots where they're like Coming out journey or you know, yeah DL, not whatever. All this shit. I think it's a great question. Yeah. it quite often. Really. More often than not, I'll say. Okay. ⁓ because like you said, people are in their different stages of queerness and they are still trying to process what that is. And what I have found, and I think that's why I've been like st when I date people, I'm like, ⁓ this isn't working or whatever, it's just that I'm I've tend to be like collateral damage in people's journey to find self because they're so like they're so not there yet. Right. And I have done a lot of work and it's been a lot of years in therapy to get me to a place where I can be like, right. ⁓ okay. This is who I am. This is what I do. This is what who I love, what I like, this is all these things. Yeah. And I'm able to have conversations about so many other interests and so many other things in my life outside of like This is what my mama did. This is what my daddy did. This is what this is what my ex did and 'cause I feel like the run and like as a guy it's like you you know, you have and talk to a girl and you know, there's traumas, whether it be you know, n niggas aren't shit and whatever, something's happened, D V s whatever. Mm-hmm. ⁓ that's already like a that layer already exists for everybody. Yeah. Right? Like you know what I'm saying? So adding that additional layer of especially as you get older, mm-hmm. Then some people are, you know, I mean I th one the the most interesting thing about dating apps that I think have been helpful is some of my best connections off of dating apps have been other people who are normal but who were in long term relationships. Like I think that dating apps are like a self ⁓ fulfilling prophecy that most people that are on apps ⁓ continuously have an issue with whether it be commitment or or a self acquisition of what's realistic for them. Yeah, yeah. And and and And they don't they don't wanna claim it, but they're using the apps long term. Mm-hmm. But I feel like most people that actually have good relationships with on the app, whether we we you know, we date or we just mess around or end up being friends is are people that are pretty well adjusted, but they just got out of a crazy thing that now they're just trying to get back out there. Get back out there, yeah. You know, and actually in are and are thinking about this as a means to an end versus Right. I'm getting this for my what is it? Cortisol. You my good I'm getting my I'm getting my rush. I'm getting my like, you know, my levels up in my brain and I like it because I'm talking to seven people on three different apps. Whether it be Raya or Hinge or whatever, I feel like the the the best ones I've had, the people that I still fuck with like to this day, it's been like I was engaged, I was married, I was also married. I have I have I have been able to commit. I've been able to go this go the distance in that experience. And again, a lot of people that I have met or interacted with, it either gets, you know, sexual way too fast. And I mean like not even way too fast immediately. that's the first thing you want to do is that and then it's like, ⁓ yeah, I'd like to know your name. It's like, ⁓ like that that the sex part is I don't know share, but like that is something that I'm that I'm like as I at this stage of life and dating, starting to really try to be cognizant of. Yeah. Because it's one it is one of those things where like I'm not a fan of we gotta wait whatever two months ⁓ yeah. Yeah, yeah, ⁓ huh. Sex is and physic physicality is important to me. You know, someone wanna be physical and physical touch and shit. But it does it d cause like sometimes you might not like a person that much just yet, but you do have sex. And you're not purposely trying to like dodge them or be ⁓ shady. But we didn't I don't think we actually had that much in common. We just connection to actually We just had like a good night. Yeah we had a good decent time. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe we fucked too early. So now I feel bad about I gotta still like Connect with you. Connect with you to so it doesn't feel like we this was a transaction. Yeah. Yeah. But we never gave ourselves a chance to like actually s figure out if we fuck with each other or not. Yeah. And it's 'cause like in the moment, it's yeah, I'm supposed to you're supposed you know, first night, second night, whatever. ⁓ sure. But then you sit down, it's like, do I really want to this person when I'm stressed out, I've had a long week. Do I wanna go home, change my pants and and and go back out to a a thing with this person? They might be cool, they might be they might be attractive, they might be ⁓ a normal person. We might had a good conversation, but we're just not you're not gonna be my girlfriend, probably. Yeah, I can see that. I mean, especially I've I've had that experience a lot, unfortunately. You think about your doing or the other people's doing? You mean like I'm the one that's like, sorry, no, I after you have sex, you're like actually I don't when you In my twenties. In my twenties that was it. In in my twenties that's what it was. Right. Now I'm at unfortunately like I think we I think I've talked about this on the pod before. Like I'm unfortunately at that age where I gotta like you first. Right. I gotta like you first. If we're gonna do this, I actually have to like you first and then we gonna go to the next little thing. I can't just do I can't just fuck you anymore. I I I can't. Like yes, that was my twenties. I can't I I don't know what happened. I don't know what happened. I I wanna say it happened like maybe a year and a half, two years ago. But I can't just be like, ⁓ yeah, I'ma just fuck you 'cause you look good. Like cause I again, I I think being in Los Angeles too, I've met a lot of people who look really, really good who are fucking horrible. What about the scenarios where like we go on the first day and it's a decent to good hang. Mm-hmm. It's a good hang. It's not an A plus hang, but it's a B hang. B minus the B hang. Yeah. And the night it's there's no there's no real reason for the night to end necessarily. We either we don't have work the next day or we you know, whatever, we just don't give a fuck. And we're out. So then it then it ends up leading to that. After after four hours of just like looking each other in the eyes and the the lighting's perfect. Yeah. I like that. Hell yeah. Because I don't I don't have to be in love with you to to do that. I just gotta like you. I gotta like you enough. But then the on the The next day, the next week, next month with that person, it's like we had a B time and we're cool. We're realistically, we if we didn't fuck, maybe we're going one or more dates and one or two more dates and be like, all right, like this is cool, but we're just probably supposed to be friends. I don't I don't believe in and maybe this is maybe this is a deeper conversation, but I don't believe that every experience romantically or intimate involved needs to be this firework. type of thing in order for cause I I do believe that like feelings and emotions can develop over time. So if I had a B time with you and I'm like, huh, I did enjoy myself with you. Was it the the heart racing fucking fireworks of of all time and I can't do no, I've had that before and those things ended horribly. So I'm at that point where I'm like, wait, I'm not the glitz and the glam of that shit doesn't always get me. Right. I know what it's like on the other side of that. And that always doesn't last. So I'm like, if I had a B time with you, I'm interested in seeing what B looks like. Yeah, no, I can see and and see if B turns out. And like, you know Guess what I'm saying is that like you're you're at that you're in that that gray area where we had a good time. Yes. But you're not after whatever, sober minds, unhorny minds. Yeah. You know, or just time and life catches back up to you after that magical evening. It's like, damn, I don't think I don't really actually think we need to keep seeing each other. If that's how I feel, then I don't need to see you. But what I'm saying is if I like you enough, if I like you enough to spend four hours with you for you for us to have dinner here and then we go for a walk and then we get ice cream and we do those things that we go through that route, I more than likely will want to do that again. And I and I mean it from the per not from the perspective of like, ⁓ my God, like I'm infatuated, I gotta have this now. Right, right, right. More of like a, I wouldn't mind doing that with you again. Cause that I'm learning things about you that kept me intrigued enough to say, hey, like, do you wanna cause again if I wanna go home, I'm gonna go home. I'm at that age now where I'm like, I'm not about to just just because it's it's that thing. Cause I get I guess maybe the the grading scale you're using is B. I'm thinking B is great. I'm thinking B like an actual solid time. I guess my going back to like worse dates, I'm not really having like C minus dates. You know what I'm saying? Like a Yeah, I'm not having F date. So for yeah, I think and and again, this the one I'm describing, that was a fucking F that was not even on the scale type of date. I have to tell you how it ends though, 'cause it gets it's it's a beautiful on the air? Yeah, I'll tell you. Sorry, go ahead. Okay, yeah. So I'll do I'll tell you real quick how it ends. It ended with ⁓ killed a guy. them ⁓ being like hey like do you want dessert you want a cake or something I was like no thank you I'm okay I'm fine ⁓ I have an early morning I made so I made up some kind of lie like I I made up some kind of lie so that I could get home. and ⁓ they tried to come upstairs there was no way that was happening of course because you are a criminal ⁓ you be stabbing people and you're not allowed in my home if that's what you do. And ⁓ again, I did not talk about myself, truly did not speak on myself the entire fucking date, right? The entire time I was there. And then afterwards, he sent me a follow-up message that was just like, I had an amazing time with you. I cannot wait to do that again. Yes, tough. And I I was like, obviously it was amazing for you. Yeah, yeah. Because you paid me a dinner and I was your therapist and I talked you through all the things and all the traumas that you were experiencing. That's tough. ⁓ because you didn't give a damn about Yeah and all those things. And ⁓ it went back and forth just for a little bit because I was like, I have to keep the niceties up because he stabs. Because he stabs because he stabs. That is And I and I no, and I just I I I I kind of fizzled it out to be like, ⁓ I'm so busy with work, and ⁓ I'm just so I'm so I it was it was one of those things where it just I had to quiet what we call it quiet quit. Yeah. Quiet on the green quietly, yeah. Quiet quit on the green. Quiet on the quit. Yeah, look, I think there there's a I've talked about this in the previous episode, there's a strategy to like quiet on a quit. Trying to either set yourself up to have, you know, intercourse on the date, and or signs in which you probably are gonna have intercourse on the And having the social awareness and you know, okay, I understand whatever. But going back to the the point about, you know, you the first date is decent and then I wanna entertain it, I just think that I think sometimes when you have sex too early. 'Cause sometimes sex is like a carrot. So it'll it'll it'll you you're it's dangling in front of you. Yeah, it's the and it'll make you entertain. It'll make you run, it'll keep you going, it'll keep you yeah, you'll it'll sometimes it's like a curve. It'll it'll make maybe a a B, a B plus. Well what I will say is that you said the date was a B, how was the sex? In this scenario. I mean, more times than not, first date drunk sex is like at best a B plus maybe. I it w maybe D may I I mean No no no I and we fucking we're fucking that like super early. It's like I'm not pulling out all the tricks. We're strangers still. I'm strapping up, you know what I'm saying? Like all this shit. It's not even like intimate in the way of like what? I'm being like I know, I know. And I I was about to say something, but it it's Dam having raw sex with strangers. I pray to God you're not. No, it's disgusting. Yeah. ⁓ I'm not even like we're not even like kissing like we should you know, it's not intimate. So it's gonna be like mediocre to okay s and even in general, I think it takes it don't count unless we hit it did it we fucked three times. If I've had sex with you Say don't If we had sex, ⁓ huh it don't count unless we had sex three times. Okay, okay. What what what doesn't count about it? Like what it what counts it out? I guess it's not. When you go to gym and you're not warmed up yet? The first little rep, okay, ooh, ooh, you what I'm saying? Okay, that's right. I'm getting ready for, yeah, yeah. The second, okay, yeah, that's it. Third rep is like now I'm getting to the workout. I know, I know how my body's feeling today. I'm maxing, you know. Okay, we can start, we can get into the max. We can get into the the hard part of it. The first two, first crack is like, I'm not the first one I wasn't expecting to crack. I'm never I'm never expecting to crack the first time. Mm-hmm. It's there's always a fifty fifty chance. ⁓ I had no idea. There's there might be like a fifty and up fifty percent and above chance I think I might ⁓ I might have sex tonight. You know what I'm saying? Whatever. Okay. Second time. There's a good chance I probably know, but I c still could be caught off guard. Yeah, okay. That's happened before too, where it's like, ⁓ we get lunch and then ⁓ you wanna come over? ⁓ okay, yeah, sure. I guess. Sure, I was gonna eat my ⁓ Yeah. Right. And at this point we've communicated at least the things we kinda like about each other. So now now the second time we okay, you c you got you got me off guard, but at least I know your vibes. Third time, I'm prepared. Yeah, I'm ready. I got my socks on, you what I'm saying? The good the grip socks. Yeah. I'm saving it up. I'm not touching my meat. I'm just I'm locked in. ⁓ my God. Okay. I don't I do. I do. But but I was reservoir, you You know the the the pond is empty, the husband is dry. But it's fruitful. Okay, we got you know, we got it's vegetation. You know what I'm saying? The the ecosystem is plentiful. So stupid. ⁓ so yeah, the third time it don't count unless it's the third time we can claim each other's bodies as a body. That's a very interesting math problem. Cause now at this point we fuck three times. We I'm I'm hugging you. I'm y I mean yugging. You are you scratching my back like I No no no no like afterwards it's a it's a it's a it's the It's the the finger on the on the up the bag. And I I get it. I'm I'm not I'm not disagreeing that the third time isn't like, ⁓ we locked in, we're doing this thing, it's a good time. You know how your bed feels. I know that one like if I if I hit it at this spot, it's gonna have that little creek and that's gonna be too loud. And so we gotta we gotta move you over here. I under I understand what you're saying. I understand what you're putting down. But They don't count. Okay. I didn't make the rule I didn't make it up. That's the the truth. You don't think so? I'm not gonna do this. ⁓ I but I I do I do I really wanna hear people's worst dating stories. Yes. I would I would love to hear y'all's like worst date stories. ⁓ that needs to be submitted. Submit it maybe make this a clip. Yeah. But submit your worst dating stories. Please. I want to hear all that shit. I wanna I wanna hear how raggedy these niggas are. ⁓ I wanna hear how dirty they is. Was it off of ad? Was it ⁓ yeah. Was it in was it ⁓ in real life? Was it a friend? ⁓ was it a friend that invent ⁓ that introduced you to another friend and was like, ⁓ my god, y'all would hit it off and then was shit? I don't trust nobody. Talk shit about that friend, okay? I don't trust I wanna hear all y'all shit. Yeah, I don't trust nobody that's trying to set me up. I've never I've never been set up on some shit. I o ⁓ a lot. I I feel like Jordan, my boy Jordan has set me up and he knows he knows me well. I think everybody else essentially has been like, ⁓ no thanks. I got a friend now, I'm gonna go In my life. My sister loves comedy. Yeah. I think one person tried to set me up with somebody, but it was more like they gay. I was like, cool. ⁓ yeah. Yeah, I get a lot of that. I got a you what? Literally, so one of my one of my co-workers found out that I was gay. And he literally, another young black dude, and he's funny as shit. And he literally came up to me one day and he was like, Man, I got somebody for you, bro. And I'm like, what are you talking about? They just knew they were cooking. And then he just scrolling. He like, yeah. We went to school together. Yeah. And I was like, are y'all friends? Yeah. And he was like, I mean, we were. When you were in school. But he just gay now. He just gay now. That's basically what used. It was like he's gay now. And ⁓ I think y'all look nice. ⁓ Was he attractive? He wasn't ugly. He was fine. I mean, he looked good, but it was one of those days where I was like, you don't even know who this person is. Y'all don't even know each other anymore. He just a gay nigga that's your distant orbit. Literally, that popped up on his timeline this morning. And he said, My nigga Torrance, I gotta put him on. And I'm like, bro, what is that? He said, I I can see how that could feel a little bit. It's nothing worse than someone trying to put you on. Because now, if someone's trying to put me on, I'll just I'll just say, nah. But sometimes I'll ⁓ I'll entertain it. What she look like? Yeah, let me see. Then they'll they'll be excited. Excited as shit. I'll get the picture. I'm like, ⁓ okay, that's what's up. That's what's you know. But no, no, but they be looking not great. Not at all. Yes. Okay. And cause you know what's you know their friend is ugly when they it takes them a lot to scroll. They go they scroll down to eight weeks ago to one specific picture. Look, look at her, you know. 2023 photo. Yeah. And I'm like, when That was On a yacht with perfect lighting. I'm like, exactly, exactly. If you can't just pull up the thing and just And just say, here you go. Yeah. Search. Go. Pick on whatever. I don't want it. Yeah, no. It was it's always strange. So I kinda let people do their thing ⁓ when it comes to like you should. You should date my friend. Don't I kinda want to be hooked up with somebody who I trust who's like, hey, I actually know somebody who like I think y'all are really I think we should put we should we should we should put you on Indian matchmaker. I could see you with like a nice, like gay IT manager, like cybersecurity manager. I wouldn't be opposed. I wouldn't be opposed. Y'all could be like y'all could have your little like he's he's pretty straightforward. Like he's near he has button downs on, but he's like he has he likes to have fun let loose on the weekends. And I like that because here's the thing I'm realizing this about myself. I'm you got to love me. Like you're gonna have to love me. Like I'm not I don't think I'm too crazy or too insane. I think I have like what but like I you gonna have to love me. I come with a lot of fun shit. I'm always like I'm always I'm I'm a little loud. I talk a lot of shit. I have a lot of fun. But you got and you gotta love that part about me. And you you know that balance I think would be. Mm-hmm. Like I'm kind of crazy. So you gotta be able to match the crazy and the goofy. But I you have to be peaceful. You gotta be able to go back and forth. It's that because if something is if I'm being wronged somewhere and I need to pop off somewhere, then I'm going to do that within reason of me needing to pop off to get the results that are necessary. But when I don't need to, I'm chilling. I'm having a great time. I'm actually pretty, you know, even keen, if you will. But when I gotta pop the fuck off, I'm gonna do that. And I'm gonna embarrass you a little bit. It would be fun to fight with my girl once. Maybe just get in a fight on like a bar fight with another couple. ⁓ I didn't know where you were going with that. That sounded very scary. Fight with my girl once. ⁓ yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, no, it's okay. I got you. Me my girl versus somebody else's girl that's beating their ass. And that's actually that's actually sounds in front of our kids, too. Mom dad, no. No. Mommy, no, stop. I hate that. That's my biggest fear, having a bitch ass kid. Having a bitch ass kid, I'm fighting. No dad! Nigga! Bitch ass nigga. No, dad, why are you doing it? Go help your mama. Hit the son. Go go hit go help them. Go help your mama. Hit the hit they son. Drop the baby out. Keep the kick the stroller over, little nigga. Dad, no! Stop it, dad, no. I would hate that. Why aren't you scrapping, little nigga? I'm over here holding my eye. Ice back to my eye. Why aren't why was you in the back looking at the rear of the mirror? Why would you been back there scrapping the You over there crying? Yeah, knock their stroller over, nigga make the baby walk. I need you to be pour some water on the floor, make them slip. Yeah, something. Help out, help out. Hold on to their leg, you over here fucking crying. It's crazy. Pissed me off. Anyways. All right. Every episode, Torrance, the so I dated. These are stories, soliloquies, poems of your from your dating life scenarios. We try to solve them. Torrence, what is what is today's so I dated? Yeah, it's a little far. So I'm gonna read it from my phone. Okay, sorry. It's a little it's all right, it's all right. I can make it bigger for me, but go ahead. So I dated someone who was terrible in bed. And before y'all say communicate, I did. Yeah. I told him what I liked. I showed him what I liked. We tried different things. He was willing to learn, but the chemistry just wasn't chemistry, yin yin. Sure. Outside of sex though, amazing man. Beautiful gowns. Kind, funny, successful, emotionally, emotionally available, treated me incredibly well. The whole package. But every time it was time to get naked, I was like, damn. Should I stay in an otherwise amazing relationship if the sex is consistently bad? That's tough. That's tough, Bubba. I mean, I'm i it's gotta be how much of a Some people's sex is not that important to ⁓ It sounds like this is important. Right, to that person who wrote it. Yeah. I mean, look. I I I and I will say this, like, I don't think, for example, on the hierarchy of like sex, for me, I don't think it's the most important. It's not the mo you know, it's not like It's crazy high on my list. Physical attraction is like No no no intimacy and like yes, but like sex itself to be like, ⁓ my god, we have to ha like I'm not a I'm not a like a it's hard for me. We get up we get up in the morning, we doing that and then at night I'm c like there I've dated some people who are I was like, My God, baby, get a toy. What the fuck? Get out of my face. That's lucky in my back. If we if I'm locked in, locked in, I'm not like I twice a day every day is is kind of a lot at thirty something years old. Rabbits. But Yeah, a night ⁓ it's nothing like it's coochie before bed, boom, wake up and run it right back in the morning. I'm not I'm not saying that that is not a part of the the the experience that you have, but what I'm saying is all the time I'm s I'm tired. I get exhausted. If we I mean if I'm together with somebody, I haven't been I haven't been with someone permanently for a minute, but I'm like if if I'm in my next relationship, if I can get coochie three to four times a week, I can survive. I can survive is surviv and it survives a strong word. Like I get what you mean. There's a cadence that you b prefer and Because at that point I'm trying to not jack off. I'm not getting too vulgar, but I'm I'm gonna try not to jack you know, like I don't really like jacking off on minimal relationships like that. Or watch porn really. So it's like, nigga, two days go by, I'm I'm just r raw in life. I'm gonna go cra you I'm my my eyes will start to Yeah. My eyes gonna start to fucking Cross, you know, for a second. But look, I think I this is tough. Physical attractiveness is important to me. Intimacy is important to me, whether it be f sexual or just you know, whatever. I think it all kind of ties into each other. I think I think more often than not, mental intimacy reflects physical intimacy and we don't we try to detach the two. So when we're bad at fucking being intimate, we don't realize that we're not. being intimate in other ways to improve the physical intimacy. I and that's what but that's the thing, it's like amazing man, kind, funny, successful, emotionally available. Like these are things that I'm like like you said, like intimacy in Nels realm realm. It could be like, ⁓ I'm trying to make up for that because I'm not Right, you know, is the is the is the meat little, you know what I'm saying? 'Cause it's some some physical shit, like yeah, you can't really whatever. But like is he just like not when he's Jackhammering or he's, you know, super soft. I think some of it is like You gotta maybe that's a therapy thing. We gotta like work through because it's probably some either a mental block or like narcissism. That won't allow that person. You to like try to be better to learn to truly learn to treat your partner. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or a therapy thing of like, yo, what happened to you, nigga? So so that was gonna be my thing too. So sex therapists, I would I would definitely recommend y'all do that. That sounds like a great idea. And then number two, Sometimes sometimes something's gotta be open. I was I was just about to say, I was just about to say, if if if the level two of this is that they are not willing and or trying to be that person for you physically, then that might be the next conversation. I personally could never ever fathom somebody fucking my girl willingly. And and I think that why I'm not, I am personally not in like, ⁓ We're gonna be, I'm gonna I I am seeking an open relationship. That's not where I am. I don't think I'll ever be there where I'm like, that is what I'm seeking. But I can understand, and I think this happened kind of came to me in my 30s, where I can understand the evolution of the person and the relationship to be like, there are things that we may need, and I won't be like, ⁓ in 20 years or in 15 years, something, you know, like whatever, whatever life thing brings. not being being so close down to the idea of anything being in an open relationship to me feels a little like limiting the potential for a relationship really in some capacity. That's just I'm not I'm never gonna be like I'll never ever entertain the idea of anything of the sort. That's not where I'm starting. That's not where I want to go that I have no desire to do that. However, I will never be like Let's never I would never ever cut that out. Don't ever mention it to me. That's me. I'm I'm not like that. I was like that. I was like that, I think, in my twenties a lot. And maybe because I'm just like dating men and they fucking suck and all they wanna do is fucking suck. So Yeah, man. Like committed relationship. I'm not a cheater. If I wanna cheat, I'm gonna be single. Yes, absolutely. And I was just I think so too. We was just having this conversation last night. My life is already complex enough. So the moment that I by love life, my love life can be simple, I'm rolling. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? If you're my person, I'll fuck with you. We you know you're physically on the same page, emotionally the same page. We have fun. We have similar goals. You're achieving your goals, you're working towards your goals. I'm in it, dog. Like I don't I don't need to like get more extra pussy for somebody else or want you to be fucking some other nigga like. I've already done enough of all the th the random things, the adventures, the missions. I'm chillin' though. I don't need I don't need more of it. And you know, I saw somebody's on someone's hinge profile they actually had something that was written like, ⁓ I understand that by nature we're you know, we're animals and ⁓ pe we wanna be in relationships with ⁓ like we want to fuck out like we just we are horny people, we wanna have the whatever, but as human beings have some fucking self-control. Yeah. And that's how I feel. That's literally how I feel. It's and again, no shade to anybody that was in those in a poly relationship and poly situations. I love it for y'all. I think every relationship should look exactly how you want for your happiness and your joy. But for myself, that's how I view the relationship that I would have with a partner. And there's some people that the base of the meeting and their lifestyle is poly. Yeah. Yeah. And I can understand that even like, look, I don't I know going into I've dated a girl in in New York and she was ⁓ an actress, whatever. She was like, first date, she's like, Yeah, I don't I don't think I'm gonna be in a monogamous relationship again. And I automatically put her in a certain bucket of like, okay, like. Me and her would never she'll never be my girlfriend. Yeah. Yeah yeah. You know, but the next nigga she goes on a date with and has a conversation with and he's he's with it, then that's the that's the foundation of their shit. Because he might be on the same kind of time. Yes. Now you chillin', you know what I'm saying? She's she was also queer too. So was like, now we're in our you're in our bag and that's whatever. But one hundred percent. I think my thing is when when someone's like you start off in monogamous kind of thing, then one person's like, Look, I kinda wanna start fucking other people. And the other person's like, ⁓ I don't wanna lose you, so I'll say yes. And maybe the idea me getting pussy also seems kinda cool. But then after a while, it's like actually I don't know if I actually want you doing you know what I'm saying? I I I didn't I didn't sign up for this. Yeah, there's a level of resentment. There's a level of ⁓ It's like meeting somebody that like for me, w when I got into my marriage, I was a tech f ⁓ manager and then we're halfway through it, I'm a sales I mean, I'm a comedian. Mm-hmm. You didn't sign up for the life of a comedian. So I can give you some grace to be like, actually nigga, I don't want someone who's coming home at eleven, twelve at night, you know, and like around bitches, you know, versus whatever whatever, even whether if I agree with that or not, that's a different lifestyle. You know. So I just think oftentimes not. That's a lot of what that poly shit is. It's like let's we decided to open it up. After a couple of rough years, we decided to open it up. It's like that to me feels like unless you old as fuck, you got kids and you just like up beyond that. You thirty five, you open your relationship up after four years. Like that's Well that's what I'm saying. I think that again, everyone has their ⁓ what that's what I like about relationships a lot. And I think that people watch too much damn television. And I I've said I actually said this to somebody ⁓ I went on a date with recently. I was like, You watch too much damn T You never told us you never told the audience that you're dating. Yeah, I'm dating. You dumb. But you let me tell all the stories. You tell me let me tell all my business. Yeah, because you're a fucking whore. No, I'm not. ⁓ I'm sorry. ⁓ I told you. But I be I know. I told you I'm done. I know you did and I believe you. You don't fucking believe me. No, I mean I I was What's the verg for these fuck niggas? I should say fuck niggas for these. I know. What for the I say ⁓ there are a few routes you can break up with that nigga. ⁓ you can cheat on them, you can get ⁓ a a sex therapist or you can open up that relationship. ⁓ I think the last two ⁓ seem more realistic. Yeah. I you gotta open ⁓ because he might not really be into sex like that. And and that's what I mean too, right? Like it's like he if he's not that's not high on his. He might not care. And it's like I I I can't please you, but fucking Johnny can, then fuck. Let Johnny Some nigga and some niggas like watching a go here, fuck. I ever saw my People be people be getting people be getting fetish. The fetishes is they they stronger now. If I saw somebody deep stroking my heart, I would deep stroking my heart. ⁓ my god, dog. Deep stroking my heart is fucking silly. I don't know what the fuck I would do. My baby girl, like my baby, you my baby girl. You my baby girl. That's baby girl. And some nigga is had your your fucking your by the throat. And I'm just in the corner just ⁓ this is so cool. Hell, I love you. I wanna have kids with you eventually. All right, let's get out of here. But before we do, every episode we have our toxic take. These aren't necessarily toxic takes. They're just things that we don't want to say at the beginning of the episode. All right. Yeah. I know you have a you have a toxic take too. My toxic take of the week is that it's summertime and I've been bamboozled by a plethora of tan white women who I thought were somewhat mixed. Mm-hmm. They show their parents and these are the two most whitest people I've ever seen on the internet. I I miss miss Miss Sam, Samantha and Bert. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. You know, in Indiana. I had no idea. These were your I thought it was gonna be Man Manuel and Samantha. You know. From Massachusetts, living in Boston. ⁓ yeah, she's ⁓ you're ⁓ she's in Chicago. She's doing great. ⁓ my little honey, yes. She just moved to she just moved to Los Angeles. Living in Montana. Grew up in Montana. Cows and fucking chickens and horses and shit. And they be having curly, curly white hair girl. You what I'm saying? Putting them perms in there. The middle of summer, a curly white hair girl. I'm thinking you at least a quarter or something. ⁓ yeah, yeah, her granddaddy. I'm so sorry. Y'all tricking him, y'all. That is funny as shit. Ha ha. Ariola's pink as hell. What the fuck? ⁓ that is funny as hell. That is I'd have been tricked a couple of time off the IG. I'm like, hold on, both your Obama daddy just w yeah they why yeah yeah ⁓ yeah we're just we live in Savannah. We're doing our thing. We in Wiscons ⁓ we're in Wisconsin. Yeah, we're from Wisconsin like shocked. I thought you at least had a you know what I'm saying, a ⁓ Puerto Rican grandma somewhere. Sorry, I don't know nothing about that lifestyle. I don't even get close enough. I don't even get close enough to the scam. I'm so sorry. You you don't even date mixed people? I do, but I don't get close enough to the scam. Yeah, though. I don't get close enough to the scam. I'll say that much. There's been a couple of times. Yeah. And I guess and I guess ⁓ white I guess white men aren't tanning themselves the way their women are tanning. White women tan This it's really only in the summertime. And and that'd be like the really deep I don't know what you talk about. I done seen a few. And don't let ⁓ wear Jordans. ⁓ you wearing Jordans and you got a tan. I'm thinking your daddy, you know what I'm saying, is named Jerome. No. I think you got a daddy named a Laskin daddy named Jerome somewhere. She has a neighbor named Jerome. Her daddy's name is Bert. Yeah, exactly. And her neighbor name is Jerome. Bob. And she went over his house a couple of times and And watch Love and Basketball and now all of a sudden she's you know, she's a baller. I've been tricked. my not so toxic take is this. If you are on a dating app, please be able to hold a conversation. Actually actively have a conversation. If I say good morning, how are you? And you say I'm fine just getting up that's cra and that's all you say, there's no how about you, there's no follow up, there's no anything, honey, we can't have a dialogue in this way. There's nothing that I can give. I'm I it has happened so many times as of recent where I literally say, ⁓ sounds good. LOL. Well, my day's going well too. Like, you know, like I like what like literally just throwing like, ⁓ so what do you do for work? ⁓ I work in I work in hotels. Yeah. Cool. What what about the like and then it's just it's it's like I don't wanna I similar to that horrible day that I went on. I don't want to know shit about you. Yeah, yeah. I don't want to know shit. I actually don't want to build a relationship with you. Then what the fuck are you doing here? What do you want from me? People I'm telling the app the apps are really bad for you, for our self-esteem, for our our ⁓ depiction of reality. Yeah. And oftentimes people I think are just on there to be entertained. It's another social media app, and people aren't serious about mean a lot of things about it in general, you know what I'm saying? Like I remember one time, this is when I first moved back, this girl, she was a little bit older. She was flying too. And I we were I'm kind of person I don't like texting a bunch before I meet somebody. Like if it's a good vibe, you look good. Let's have the conversation while we're there. Let's chat while we're in the honestly if you look good and you seem cool, after like four or five exchanges, I'm trying to set up a meeting. Yeah. Because ultimately, if I meet you out in the world, that's kind of what's happening too. Like I Come on, I stepped to you at a bar. What's going on? Already work. ⁓ d-do, do-do-do-do. All right, well shit, let me get your number. You what I'm saying? Then it's let's let's go out sometime. Like, so, and I remember I was telling her, I'm like, yo, I'm I think I'm gonna delete this shit, but I would love to take you out. And then I checked like two days later, she had unmatched me. And I'm like, what was the point of us even matching if we have a a dialogue and it's like decent? I asked you out and then you unmatch me. Either Either you were entertaining me, you n you never wanted to fuck with me. Or I came to you too early. And you were like, ⁓ this is I don't I don't and I don't know. People people are very strange. But to it's just like if I came to you too early, then it's like I'm not saying let's go out tomorrow. I'm saying we should go out. Yeah. So then w the conversation will flow then of ⁓ where should we go? What part of town or you know, and then we'll get to know each other a little bit more through that process. But like that's the all the only reason I'm here is to meet somebody. I don't have the time or even interest to be texting back and forth with a fucking stranger. Yeah, I get that. And it's a lot. So I'm like, yeah, I'm I'm my riots like things things will fizzle f things be fizzling out when you text too much. I have yeah, yeah. And you don't meet up? Absolutely. That happened to a couple of people recently. I wanna talk about this next week. This is exactly fun. This is exactly what I was wanted to talk about today. But ⁓ the process of Stand Up Sorry. Yeah. Well People wanna I think people wanna be courted, but people don't know how to be courted. That makes you feel like you're not chasing. Yeah. But sure. You but I don't wanna s break the lead, but that's next week's If we don't have a guest, that's what that'll be our time. And then maybe we do maybe we'll do it with a guest. We're gonna start having guests again. Yeah. Me and Torch had to lock in and fucking give y'all some heat. 'Cause we've been giving y'all low key heat for the past what, two months? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. A lot of people in the industry are talking about us as an entity. Yeah. And as a a lot of conversations, a lot of I actually got stopped at the ⁓ farmers market. Really? Yeah. Someone's like, ⁓ my gosh, I see your Your videos, they're so funny. And I was like, ⁓ thank you, doll. Change Change this fuck nigga's life. She took Nah, thank y'all for supporting both of us. This has been great. ⁓ till next week. We'll see y'all next time. Peace.
