Follow-ups/Corrections
As I Lay Dying - Now THE ENTIRE BAND has left, minus long time guitar player Phil Sgrosso. And even THAT is questionable. This has caused the band to pull out of their EU tour, and might affect their upcoming album release.
PLUS
It gets better… the reunion album, Shaped By Fire, has now been pulled from streaming.
New Music/Video
Tom Green - Det Er Done Tonight https://youtu.be/FpUfgGgU0hY Why is he just good at being so dang entertaining?
Vera Farmiga - The Yagas - The Crying Room https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQ4mh3uNw48&pp=ygUVdmVyYSBmYXJtaWdhIG5ldyBzb25n not bad… very atmospheric.
Filth - Opp Stoppers https://youtu.be/DUl3DPXdCBY THIS feels like a more appropriate successor to the “Modern NU Metal” title.
Venamoris - Spiderweb https://youtu.be/mjA_zqAm3KQ Dave Lombardo new project with his wife Paula. Weird reverb heavy drum mix, considering who is playing those drums. Kind of a trip-hop vibe.
Avenged Sevenfold - Halloween https://youtu.be/wD1YX_olRj8 Acoustic??? Shadows does an interesting vocal performance too… very much NOT expected on either front. The vocals leave something to be desired.
Skulls https://youtu.be/4Bthu4MXSOM Somehow the vocals are better here. THIS is more of what a Misfits cover should sound like. Almost Tiger Army-esque.
The Halo Effect - March of the Unheard https://youtu.be/9ZG2matuCUM Former In Flames. 2 minutes of an almost 5 min song as intro though? Vocals feel like they belong in a different song.
Linkin Park - Over Each Other https://youtu.be/fSHoePrnmMw Teenage angst center-stage again.
Tours/Festivals
When We Were Young ‘25 - Oct 18 2025 Las Vegas. VIP Cabanas available with layaway payments with $19.99 down. Panic At The Disco, Blink 182, Weezer, The Offspring. Why is Kublai Khan on this bill? Or The Plot In You?
Killswitch Engage - Support from Kublai Khan TX, Fit for a King, and Frozen Soul. Starts March 5th in Nashville TN, through April 12 in Portland MN. Presale starts Wednesday 30th.
Alice Cooper - Another leg of the Too Close For Comfort tour announced. Jan 31 in Augusta GA through Feb 11 in St Augustine FL.
Reg ‘ol News
Primus - Drummer Tim Alexander quits the band. This is not the first time, first in 96, then again in 2010. The band was informed via email 2 weeks-ish ago on the 17th. Going forward at this point they will utilize members from Claypool’s other projects in Holy Mackerel and Frog Brigade. Alexander cites a lack of passion for playing music…
Upon a Burning Body - canceled the rest of their tour with Mushroomhead, including a solo headlining show in Kentucky on Oct 27. It seems their guitar player had a family emergency.
Suggests
Misfits - Legacy of Brutality
One of the CLASSIC all-time punk records. Maybe not their highest profile album, but the one that gave us “Halloween” and that’s worth a LOT.
STAND OUT TRACKS: Halloween, American Nightmare, Some Kinda Hate, Who Killed Marilyn.
Gaming/TechFollow-ups/Corrections
Fallout London - The fan-made DLC for Fallout 4 has officially been downloaded over 1 Million times. https://gog.prowly.com/360385-fallout-london-reaches-1-million-owners-on-gog
Trailers
Mortal Kombat 1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_ypb5noEMg Ghostface tease. Nov 19th.

Instagram - Video quality is being decreased on less popular videos. If your video doesn’t reach a certain popularity over a given amount of time, then it will stream at a lower quality than you uploaded. If it should pick up in popularity, the quality will be returned.
Valve - in a rare show of understanding. Valve has announced that they will NOT be releasing yearly iterations of their hardware, to be fair to gamers. In an interview Valve designers Lawrence Yang and Yazan Aldehayyat, said that they will instead wait for a “generation leap” before releasing new hardware.

What do you got for ME??

The story is a retelling of the campaign that got Eddie Munson hooked on D&D, and also recruited Dustin, Mike, and Lucas.
Star Wars: Legacy of Vader - New Kylo Ren ongoing book that takes place between TLJ and TRoS. Destined for shelves February 2 2025. (W) Charles Soule (A) Luke Ross.
Trick ‘r Treat: Witching Hours - A sequel of sorts to the cult classic film. The kickstarter is running now, and the book is expected to be released next october.
Suggests

Follow-ups/Corrections
Tim Pool - didn’t end IRL after all. Instead he did some “cut-backs” and fired a bunch of staff. Some of whom are now going over to The Quartering.
Good Omens - Instead of a third and final season, we will be getting a feature length episode to finish the story. https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/news/good-omens-season-3-final-season-episode-movie-neil-gaiman/

Simpsons X NFL - on Dec 9 the Simpsons will be crossing over with the NFL for the Bengals and Cowboys game. The event will be broadcast in real-time, with Original characters from the Simpsons interacting with players, coaches, etc. There will also be new original clips before during and after the game of Simpsons material. VOD will go live 12 hours after, and will be on Disney+, ESPN, and all the subsidiaries that make sense.
Squid Game - English language version of the series is now in the works at Netflix. David Fincher set to develop, and presumably showrun.
Suggests
Teacup - There is some oddly familiar territory here. Strange parallels between From, but definitely its own beast. This is a different kind of isolation-horror. A little easier on the nervous system.
STREAMING ON: Peacock

Scary Movie - Keenen Ivory, Shawn, and Marlon Waynes will be reuniting with Rick Alvarez to write and produce a reboot to the parody horror movie that started it all. These are the writers of the original movie and its immediate sequel. After that Miramax bought out the franchise and the Waynes’ have been absent since.
Trick ‘r Treat - Creator Michael Dougherty said in the recently released commentary track for the new Blu-Ray 4k release that the sequel is still in the works. The script is in a good place, but he wants to do it under the right conditions and on his own terms.
Lord of the Rings: War of Rohirrim - When the movie hits theaters on Dec 13, there will be a familiar, but unexpected, voice in the cast. The late great Christopher Lee. Producer Philippa Boyens secured the rights from the family of the actor, and instead of doing some AI trickery, they will be using unused audio from his time as Saruman in Peter Jackson’s movies.
Suggests
Hocus Pocus - A classic at this point. Just an all around good time.
