We'd love to hear your thoughts on the show! All feedback is appreciated.
What if getting off track doesn’t mean you have to start all over again?
I told you Breathwork Magic was going biweekly… and then I immediately missed the next episode. 😂 Instead of beating myself up about it or waiting for the “perfect” time to come back, I decided to practice the exact thing our breath teaches us over and over again: Just Return.
In this episode, we’re talking about what happens when life gets busy, routines fall away, promises to ourselves get interrupted, and suddenly we feel like we need to somehow catch up. Whether it’s Breathwork, movement, meditation, creativity, or something else you’ve been wanting to return to, this episode is your reminder that you don’t need to make up for lost time.
Your breath doesn’t ask you to recover the breaths you missed. It simply gives you another one.
And maybe life can work that way, too.
I’ll close this episode with a short, grounding breathing practice to help you release some of the guilt around where you think you should be and reconnect with where you actually are.
No catching up. No perfect restart.
Just come back.
🔹 In this episode, listeners will:
- Explore why getting off track doesn’t mean you’ve failed
- Learn how the breath can teach us to return without judgment
- Release some of the pressure to “catch up” after falling out of a routine
- Reflect on something you genuinely want to come back to
- Practice a simple, grounding breath to reconnect with the present moment
- Be reminded that consistency doesn’t have to mean perfection
- Create space to begin again, exactly where you are

00:00:18.960 --> 00:00:27.120
Welcome to Breathwork Magic, the podcast that explores the life-changing power of your breath.
00:00:27.600 --> 00:00:43.520
Breathwork isn't just a practice, it's a gateway to healing, transformation, and shifting to a new mindset by letting go of the past and embracing the possibilities of the present moment.
00:00:43.840 --> 00:00:53.520
I'm Amanda Russo, your host, a certified breathwork facilitator, level two reiki practitioner, and creative manner's mindset podcast.
00:00:54.159 --> 00:01:00.640
On my own journey, Blackbook has been a powerful tool for releasing what no longer serves me.
00:01:00.960 --> 00:01:08.079
And shifting my perspective to step into my fullest and greatest potential.
00:01:08.719 --> 00:01:27.439
Each week, I'm joined by inspiring guests, Blackbook facilitators, healers, and wellness enthusiasts who share how this practice has helped them and their clients heal, grow, and embrace lasting change.
00:01:28.400 --> 00:01:32.079
So take a deep breath in and out.
00:01:33.519 --> 00:01:41.120
Settle in and let's explore the magic of your breath together.
00:01:41.599 --> 00:01:44.319
The transformation starts now.
00:02:31.199 --> 00:02:36.240
I am your host, Amanda Russo, aka the breathing goddess.
00:02:36.639 --> 00:02:43.680
And I have pissed out today's episode by calling myself out a little bit.
00:02:44.319 --> 00:02:56.800
Back in August, I've released an episode with a guest, and I told you guys that Breath Broke Magic was officially moving to a bi-weekly schedule.
00:02:57.199 --> 00:03:02.479
And then I immediately missed the next episode.
00:03:03.199 --> 00:03:04.800
So that's going well.
00:03:05.759 --> 00:03:11.680
But seriously, the next episode was supposed to come out August 21st.
00:03:12.080 --> 00:03:14.560
I was traveling for my birthday.
00:03:14.800 --> 00:03:17.520
I was getting ready to turn 30.
00:03:17.759 --> 00:03:19.360
There was a lot going on.
00:03:19.919 --> 00:03:22.560
And I didn't release an episode.
00:03:23.280 --> 00:03:28.719
And I could sit here and give you a million reasons why.
00:03:29.280 --> 00:03:31.280
I could apologize for it.
00:03:31.680 --> 00:03:40.000
I could tell myself I fucked up this new schedule before I even really got started.
00:03:41.199 --> 00:03:45.520
Or I could just come back.
00:03:46.560 --> 00:03:48.479
And that's what I'm doing.
00:03:49.120 --> 00:04:08.159
And honestly, when I started thinking about what episode I wanted to release today, what I wanted to talk about today, I realized that there's actually something really important in that.
00:04:09.680 --> 00:04:14.479
Because how often do so many of us do this?
00:04:15.520 --> 00:04:18.560
We decide we're going to start something.
00:04:19.439 --> 00:04:22.560
We make a commitment to ourselves.
00:04:23.120 --> 00:04:24.800
We're doing really well.
00:04:25.680 --> 00:04:27.680
And then life happens.
00:04:29.279 --> 00:04:31.040
We miss a day.
00:04:32.000 --> 00:04:34.000
Maybe we miss a week.
00:04:34.639 --> 00:04:36.959
We get out of our routine.
00:04:37.759 --> 00:04:44.480
And suddenly we make that mean that we failed.
00:04:46.160 --> 00:04:54.399
And I think sometimes the hardest part isn't even getting off track.
00:04:56.160 --> 00:05:03.040
It's the story we tell ourselves after we get off track.
00:05:05.199 --> 00:05:07.120
You don't have to catch up.
00:05:08.000 --> 00:05:09.680
Maybe you've been there.
00:05:10.879 --> 00:05:13.439
You haven't worked out in a couple weeks.
00:05:13.759 --> 00:05:17.360
So now going back feels even more difficult.
00:05:18.000 --> 00:05:25.120
Maybe you haven't journaled, you haven't meditated, you haven't tapped into your breath.
00:05:26.079 --> 00:05:33.920
Maybe there's something you said you were going to do and you just haven't done it.
00:05:35.439 --> 00:05:45.839
And suddenly you are carrying around all of this guilt around the fact that you didn't do it.
00:05:46.639 --> 00:05:48.480
I should have done this.
00:05:49.199 --> 00:05:51.040
Why didn't I do that?
00:05:51.439 --> 00:05:53.360
I was doing so good.
00:05:54.639 --> 00:05:57.120
I need to get back on track.
00:05:59.759 --> 00:06:14.240
Sometimes we put so much pressure on the idea of getting back on track that we make returning even more difficult than it actually needs to be.
00:06:16.319 --> 00:06:22.959
Because what if you don't have to catch up?
00:06:24.800 --> 00:06:31.120
What if you don't have to make up for all the days you missed?
00:06:33.920 --> 00:06:37.120
What if you don't need some huge restart?
00:06:39.040 --> 00:06:45.920
What if you just need to come back today, right now, wherever you are?
00:06:48.160 --> 00:06:54.959
And this is actually something breathwork really teaches us.
00:06:56.079 --> 00:07:04.240
Because when you're breathing intentionally, you're not going to do it perfectly every single time.
00:07:05.040 --> 00:07:13.040
Your mind might wander, you might lose the breathing pattern, you might get distracted.
00:07:14.319 --> 00:07:23.680
You might realize you've been thinking about the email you need to send, or some random conversation you had three days ago.
00:07:25.120 --> 00:07:26.720
But what do we do?
00:07:28.079 --> 00:07:30.319
We come back to the breath.
00:07:31.439 --> 00:07:36.240
We don't say, oh no, I got distracted.
00:07:36.480 --> 00:07:40.959
So I guess I ruined my entire breath work practice.
00:07:41.680 --> 00:07:47.360
We notice it, become aware of it, and we return to the breath.
00:07:48.560 --> 00:07:52.160
And then maybe our mind wanders again.
00:07:52.879 --> 00:07:55.279
And then we return again.
00:07:56.399 --> 00:07:58.800
There's always another breath.
00:07:59.680 --> 00:08:09.519
And I think there's something really beautiful about taking that outside of breath work and applying it to our everyday lives.
00:08:10.399 --> 00:08:18.639
Because maybe you don't need to be perfect at keeping every promise to yourself.
00:08:19.680 --> 00:08:32.080
Maybe part of trusting yourself is also knowing that when you get disconnected from yourself, you know how to come back.
00:08:35.600 --> 00:08:43.360
I think sometimes we imagine consistency as this perfect straight line.
00:08:43.759 --> 00:08:51.200
You decide you're doing something, and then you do it every day or every week forever.
00:08:52.000 --> 00:08:55.759
But that's not really how life works.
00:08:56.559 --> 00:09:06.080
Vacations come up, birthdays happen, work gets busy, relationships need our attention.
00:09:06.799 --> 00:09:09.759
Sometimes our priorities change.
00:09:11.440 --> 00:09:14.320
Sometimes we just drop the ball.
00:09:22.960 --> 00:09:36.639
I think maybe the goal is to become somebody who knows how to return without spending three weeks beating themselves up first.
00:09:38.159 --> 00:09:48.399
Because beating yourself up doesn't actually change what happened, it just keeps you stuck there longer.
00:09:50.000 --> 00:09:56.080
And I'm literally practicing that by recording this episode right now.
00:09:56.639 --> 00:09:58.639
I missed August 21st.
00:09:58.799 --> 00:10:04.399
I can't go backward, I can't go back in time and publish an episode on that day.
00:10:04.720 --> 00:10:09.519
But I can sit here today and record this episode.
00:10:09.759 --> 00:10:15.120
I can turn on the microphone, I can turn on the computer and start again.
00:10:16.000 --> 00:10:17.600
And so can you.
00:10:24.960 --> 00:10:30.080
So I want you to think about something for a second.
00:10:31.360 --> 00:10:35.039
What have you been wanting to come back to?
00:10:38.000 --> 00:10:40.159
Pause, delete that, delete that.
00:10:41.120 --> 00:10:42.399
And so can you.
00:10:45.200 --> 00:10:48.000
What do you want to come back to?
00:10:51.039 --> 00:10:54.960
So I want you to think about something for a second.
00:10:57.679 --> 00:11:01.039
What have you been wanting to come back to?
00:11:03.919 --> 00:11:07.519
Maybe something immediately came to your mind.
00:11:09.519 --> 00:11:11.039
Maybe it's breath work.
00:11:12.159 --> 00:11:14.240
Maybe it's moving your body.
00:11:15.360 --> 00:11:17.919
Maybe it's taking care of yourself.
00:11:20.559 --> 00:11:24.879
Maybe it's a routine that made you feel really good.
00:11:27.679 --> 00:11:33.840
Maybe it's something you were excited about before life got in the way.
00:11:35.519 --> 00:11:41.120
Or maybe it's not even something you used to do.
00:11:42.720 --> 00:11:48.000
Maybe it's something you've been saying you're going to begin.
00:11:49.039 --> 00:11:53.120
And you keep waiting for the perfect moment to start.
00:11:54.720 --> 00:11:56.159
Whatever it is.
00:11:57.519 --> 00:12:02.720
I want you to take some of the pressure off of it.
00:12:04.639 --> 00:12:07.759
You don't have to make up for lost time.
00:12:09.200 --> 00:12:12.720
You don't have to do it perfectly this time.
00:12:13.919 --> 00:12:16.399
You don't have to prove anything.
00:12:18.159 --> 00:12:23.360
You just have to decide whether you want to come back.
00:12:25.120 --> 00:12:29.120
And if the answer is yes, come back.
00:12:32.080 --> 00:12:53.360
So with that being said, wherever you are right now, if you are somewhere safe and you are able to do so, I invite you to take a couple minutes to tap into your breath with me.
00:12:56.000 --> 00:13:00.240
You don't need to do anything crazy with your breath.
00:13:00.799 --> 00:13:04.000
We are just going to slow down a little bit.
00:13:05.279 --> 00:13:20.240
If you are driving or doing anything that requires your full attention, I encourage you to save this intentional practice for later and just keep breathing normally.
00:13:23.759 --> 00:13:29.200
Otherwise, I invite you to find a comfortable position.
00:13:30.720 --> 00:13:41.759
If it feels safe for you to do so, I invite you to close your eyes or bring them up to a gentle gaze.
00:13:43.600 --> 00:13:45.919
And just notice your breath.
00:13:50.720 --> 00:13:52.080
Not charging it.
00:13:53.039 --> 00:13:54.240
Just noticing.
00:13:57.759 --> 00:14:01.440
Now take a slow breath in through your nose.
00:14:04.080 --> 00:14:06.240
And slowly let it go.
00:14:09.440 --> 00:14:10.080
Again.
00:14:12.080 --> 00:14:16.480
Breathing in and breathing out.
00:14:20.159 --> 00:14:21.360
One more time.
00:14:23.120 --> 00:14:24.080
Inhale.
00:14:25.919 --> 00:14:29.200
Holding it at the top for a few moments.
00:14:31.519 --> 00:14:33.919
And exhaling it out.
00:14:37.279 --> 00:14:43.519
And I want you to think about that thing you want to vertone to.
00:14:44.639 --> 00:14:49.600
Not the thing you think you should vertone to.
00:14:50.799 --> 00:14:54.879
What do you actually want to come back to?
00:14:57.519 --> 00:14:59.120
Take a breath in.
00:15:01.759 --> 00:15:10.080
And as you exhale, letting go of some of the guilt around how long it's been.
00:15:13.120 --> 00:15:16.399
Taking another deep breath in.
00:15:19.200 --> 00:15:24.559
And letting go of the idea that you need to catch up.
00:15:27.919 --> 00:15:36.879
Breathing in and reminding yourself that I can begin from here.
00:15:40.320 --> 00:15:41.600
Exhaling out.
00:15:45.360 --> 00:15:46.000
Again.
00:15:48.399 --> 00:15:50.159
Breathing in and out.
00:15:52.399 --> 00:15:55.120
I can begin from here.
00:15:58.960 --> 00:16:02.080
You don't need yesterday's breath back.
00:16:02.799 --> 00:16:05.919
You don't need last week's breath back.
00:16:07.039 --> 00:16:13.039
You don't need to know what the next hundred breaths are going to feel like.
00:16:14.159 --> 00:16:17.039
You only have this one.
00:16:20.399 --> 00:16:24.480
And maybe life can work that way too.
00:16:25.919 --> 00:16:29.440
You don't need to fix everything today.
00:16:30.799 --> 00:16:35.679
You don't need to make up for everything you haven't done.
00:16:37.279 --> 00:16:44.639
You just need to decide what you're going to do with this moment.
00:16:46.799 --> 00:16:51.279
I invite you to take another slow deep breath in.
00:16:51.759 --> 00:16:54.799
And hold it gently at the top.
00:16:57.759 --> 00:17:00.559
And exhale, letting it go.
00:17:03.600 --> 00:17:12.079
And let's take one final breath in together, breathing in whatever it is you need right now.
00:17:14.960 --> 00:17:23.920
And as you exhale, release whatever you don't need or want to carry forward with you.
00:17:27.039 --> 00:17:31.200
Slowly coming back to your normal breath.
00:17:33.039 --> 00:17:40.640
And whenever you're ready, opening your eyes and coming back to the present moment.
00:17:44.240 --> 00:17:49.200
And that's the reminder I needed today.
00:17:50.000 --> 00:17:55.119
And maybe it's the reminder you need it as well.
00:17:56.319 --> 00:17:58.559
You don't have to catch up.
00:17:59.599 --> 00:18:03.839
You don't have to punish yourself for getting off track.
00:18:05.599 --> 00:18:16.880
You don't have to wait until Monday, next month, or January 1st, or until you magically feel quote unquote motivated.
00:18:17.599 --> 00:18:28.319
You can just come back, take the breath, do the thing, and begin from where you are.
00:18:30.559 --> 00:18:40.480
And apparently, for me, beginning from where I am actually means publishing the bi-weekly podcast.
00:18:40.720 --> 00:18:42.880
I said I was gonna publish.
00:18:43.599 --> 00:18:45.039
So here we are.
00:18:45.680 --> 00:18:47.200
Thank you for being here.
00:18:47.440 --> 00:18:49.279
Thank you for breathing with me.
00:18:49.519 --> 00:18:54.000
And thank you for giving me the space to come back to.
00:18:55.119 --> 00:19:01.200
If this episode resonated with you, send it to somebody who might need the reminder.
00:19:01.599 --> 00:19:03.599
They don't have to start over.
00:19:04.640 --> 00:19:06.640
They can simply come back.
00:19:08.160 --> 00:19:14.400
If you're enjoying Breathwork Magic, make sure you are subscribed to the podcast.
00:19:14.559 --> 00:19:24.559
And if you haven't already, leave up a view because it helps more people discover the magic and the power of our breath.
00:19:24.880 --> 00:19:30.160
Thank you so much for tuning in to another episode of Breathwork Magic.
00:19:30.400 --> 00:19:32.319
I'll talk to you soon.
00:19:32.640 --> 00:19:38.000
And until then, just come back to your breath.
00:20:00.240 --> 00:20:11.200
I hope today's episode inspired you to connect more deeply with your breath and embrace the transformation that it can bring.
00:20:11.599 --> 00:20:17.039
Remember, as long as you have your breath, you have options.
00:20:17.759 --> 00:20:19.200
You're not stuck.
00:20:19.440 --> 00:20:22.640
You can make a change, you can make a shift.
00:20:22.960 --> 00:20:33.119
Each inhale is a new beginner, and every exhale is a chance to let go of what no longer serves you.
00:20:33.680 --> 00:20:37.680

00:00:18.960 --> 00:00:27.120
Welcome to Breathwork Magic, the podcast that explores the life-changing power of your breath.
00:00:27.600 --> 00:00:43.520
Breathwork isn't just a practice, it's a gateway to healing, transformation, and shifting to a new mindset by letting go of the past and embracing the possibilities of the present moment.
00:00:43.840 --> 00:00:53.520
I'm Amanda Russo, your host, a certified breathwork facilitator, level two reiki practitioner, and creative manner's mindset podcast.
00:00:54.159 --> 00:01:00.640
On my own journey, Blackbook has been a powerful tool for releasing what no longer serves me.
00:01:00.960 --> 00:01:08.079
And shifting my perspective to step into my fullest and greatest potential.
00:01:08.719 --> 00:01:27.439
Each week, I'm joined by inspiring guests, Blackbook facilitators, healers, and wellness enthusiasts who share how this practice has helped them and their clients heal, grow, and embrace lasting change.
00:01:28.400 --> 00:01:32.079
So take a deep breath in and out.
00:01:33.519 --> 00:01:41.120
Settle in and let's explore the magic of your breath together.
00:01:41.599 --> 00:01:44.319
The transformation starts now.
00:02:31.199 --> 00:02:36.240
I am your host, Amanda Russo, aka the breathing goddess.
00:02:36.639 --> 00:02:43.680
And I have pissed out today's episode by calling myself out a little bit.
00:02:44.319 --> 00:02:56.800
Back in August, I've released an episode with a guest, and I told you guys that Breath Broke Magic was officially moving to a bi-weekly schedule.
00:02:57.199 --> 00:03:02.479
And then I immediately missed the next episode.
00:03:03.199 --> 00:03:04.800
So that's going well.
00:03:05.759 --> 00:03:11.680
But seriously, the next episode was supposed to come out August 21st.
00:03:12.080 --> 00:03:14.560
I was traveling for my birthday.
00:03:14.800 --> 00:03:17.520
I was getting ready to turn 30.
00:03:17.759 --> 00:03:19.360
There was a lot going on.
00:03:19.919 --> 00:03:22.560
And I didn't release an episode.
00:03:23.280 --> 00:03:28.719
And I could sit here and give you a million reasons why.
00:03:29.280 --> 00:03:31.280
I could apologize for it.
00:03:31.680 --> 00:03:40.000
I could tell myself I fucked up this new schedule before I even really got started.
00:03:41.199 --> 00:03:45.520
Or I could just come back.
00:03:46.560 --> 00:03:48.479
And that's what I'm doing.
00:03:49.120 --> 00:04:08.159
And honestly, when I started thinking about what episode I wanted to release today, what I wanted to talk about today, I realized that there's actually something really important in that.
00:04:09.680 --> 00:04:14.479
Because how often do so many of us do this?
00:04:15.520 --> 00:04:18.560
We decide we're going to start something.
00:04:19.439 --> 00:04:22.560
We make a commitment to ourselves.
00:04:23.120 --> 00:04:24.800
We're doing really well.
00:04:25.680 --> 00:04:27.680
And then life happens.
00:04:29.279 --> 00:04:31.040
We miss a day.
00:04:32.000 --> 00:04:34.000
Maybe we miss a week.
00:04:34.639 --> 00:04:36.959
We get out of our routine.
00:04:37.759 --> 00:04:44.480
And suddenly we make that mean that we failed.
00:04:46.160 --> 00:04:54.399
And I think sometimes the hardest part isn't even getting off track.
00:04:56.160 --> 00:05:03.040
It's the story we tell ourselves after we get off track.
00:05:05.199 --> 00:05:07.120
You don't have to catch up.
00:05:08.000 --> 00:05:09.680
Maybe you've been there.
00:05:10.879 --> 00:05:13.439
You haven't worked out in a couple weeks.
00:05:13.759 --> 00:05:17.360
So now going back feels even more difficult.
00:05:18.000 --> 00:05:25.120
Maybe you haven't journaled, you haven't meditated, you haven't tapped into your breath.
00:05:26.079 --> 00:05:33.920
Maybe there's something you said you were going to do and you just haven't done it.
00:05:35.439 --> 00:05:45.839
And suddenly you are carrying around all of this guilt around the fact that you didn't do it.
00:05:46.639 --> 00:05:48.480
I should have done this.
00:05:49.199 --> 00:05:51.040
Why didn't I do that?
00:05:51.439 --> 00:05:53.360
I was doing so good.
00:05:54.639 --> 00:05:57.120
I need to get back on track.
00:05:59.759 --> 00:06:14.240
Sometimes we put so much pressure on the idea of getting back on track that we make returning even more difficult than it actually needs to be.
00:06:16.319 --> 00:06:22.959
Because what if you don't have to catch up?
00:06:24.800 --> 00:06:31.120
What if you don't have to make up for all the days you missed?
00:06:33.920 --> 00:06:37.120
What if you don't need some huge restart?
00:06:39.040 --> 00:06:45.920
What if you just need to come back today, right now, wherever you are?
00:06:48.160 --> 00:06:54.959
And this is actually something breathwork really teaches us.
00:06:56.079 --> 00:07:04.240
Because when you're breathing intentionally, you're not going to do it perfectly every single time.
00:07:05.040 --> 00:07:13.040
Your mind might wander, you might lose the breathing pattern, you might get distracted.
00:07:14.319 --> 00:07:23.680
You might realize you've been thinking about the email you need to send, or some random conversation you had three days ago.
00:07:25.120 --> 00:07:26.720
But what do we do?
00:07:28.079 --> 00:07:30.319
We come back to the breath.
00:07:31.439 --> 00:07:36.240
We don't say, oh no, I got distracted.
00:07:36.480 --> 00:07:40.959
So I guess I ruined my entire breath work practice.
00:07:41.680 --> 00:07:47.360
We notice it, become aware of it, and we return to the breath.
00:07:48.560 --> 00:07:52.160
And then maybe our mind wanders again.
00:07:52.879 --> 00:07:55.279
And then we return again.
00:07:56.399 --> 00:07:58.800
There's always another breath.
00:07:59.680 --> 00:08:09.519
And I think there's something really beautiful about taking that outside of breath work and applying it to our everyday lives.
00:08:10.399 --> 00:08:18.639
Because maybe you don't need to be perfect at keeping every promise to yourself.
00:08:19.680 --> 00:08:32.080
Maybe part of trusting yourself is also knowing that when you get disconnected from yourself, you know how to come back.
00:08:35.600 --> 00:08:43.360
I think sometimes we imagine consistency as this perfect straight line.
00:08:43.759 --> 00:08:51.200
You decide you're doing something, and then you do it every day or every week forever.
00:08:52.000 --> 00:08:55.759
But that's not really how life works.
00:08:56.559 --> 00:09:06.080
Vacations come up, birthdays happen, work gets busy, relationships need our attention.
00:09:06.799 --> 00:09:09.759
Sometimes our priorities change.
00:09:11.440 --> 00:09:14.320
Sometimes we just drop the ball.
00:09:22.960 --> 00:09:36.639
I think maybe the goal is to become somebody who knows how to return without spending three weeks beating themselves up first.
00:09:38.159 --> 00:09:48.399
Because beating yourself up doesn't actually change what happened, it just keeps you stuck there longer.
00:09:50.000 --> 00:09:56.080
And I'm literally practicing that by recording this episode right now.
00:09:56.639 --> 00:09:58.639
I missed August 21st.
00:09:58.799 --> 00:10:04.399
I can't go backward, I can't go back in time and publish an episode on that day.
00:10:04.720 --> 00:10:09.519
But I can sit here today and record this episode.
00:10:09.759 --> 00:10:15.120
I can turn on the microphone, I can turn on the computer and start again.
00:10:16.000 --> 00:10:17.600
And so can you.
00:10:24.960 --> 00:10:30.080
So I want you to think about something for a second.
00:10:31.360 --> 00:10:35.039
What have you been wanting to come back to?
00:10:38.000 --> 00:10:40.159
Pause, delete that, delete that.
00:10:41.120 --> 00:10:42.399
And so can you.
00:10:45.200 --> 00:10:48.000
What do you want to come back to?
00:10:51.039 --> 00:10:54.960
So I want you to think about something for a second.
00:10:57.679 --> 00:11:01.039
What have you been wanting to come back to?
00:11:03.919 --> 00:11:07.519
Maybe something immediately came to your mind.
00:11:09.519 --> 00:11:11.039
Maybe it's breath work.
00:11:12.159 --> 00:11:14.240
Maybe it's moving your body.
00:11:15.360 --> 00:11:17.919
Maybe it's taking care of yourself.
00:11:20.559 --> 00:11:24.879
Maybe it's a routine that made you feel really good.
00:11:27.679 --> 00:11:33.840
Maybe it's something you were excited about before life got in the way.
00:11:35.519 --> 00:11:41.120
Or maybe it's not even something you used to do.
00:11:42.720 --> 00:11:48.000
Maybe it's something you've been saying you're going to begin.
00:11:49.039 --> 00:11:53.120
And you keep waiting for the perfect moment to start.
00:11:54.720 --> 00:11:56.159
Whatever it is.
00:11:57.519 --> 00:12:02.720
I want you to take some of the pressure off of it.
00:12:04.639 --> 00:12:07.759
You don't have to make up for lost time.
00:12:09.200 --> 00:12:12.720
You don't have to do it perfectly this time.
00:12:13.919 --> 00:12:16.399
You don't have to prove anything.
00:12:18.159 --> 00:12:23.360
You just have to decide whether you want to come back.
00:12:25.120 --> 00:12:29.120
And if the answer is yes, come back.
00:12:32.080 --> 00:12:53.360
So with that being said, wherever you are right now, if you are somewhere safe and you are able to do so, I invite you to take a couple minutes to tap into your breath with me.
00:12:56.000 --> 00:13:00.240
You don't need to do anything crazy with your breath.
00:13:00.799 --> 00:13:04.000
We are just going to slow down a little bit.
00:13:05.279 --> 00:13:20.240
If you are driving or doing anything that requires your full attention, I encourage you to save this intentional practice for later and just keep breathing normally.
00:13:23.759 --> 00:13:29.200
Otherwise, I invite you to find a comfortable position.
00:13:30.720 --> 00:13:41.759
If it feels safe for you to do so, I invite you to close your eyes or bring them up to a gentle gaze.
00:13:43.600 --> 00:13:45.919
And just notice your breath.
00:13:50.720 --> 00:13:52.080
Not charging it.
00:13:53.039 --> 00:13:54.240
Just noticing.
00:13:57.759 --> 00:14:01.440
Now take a slow breath in through your nose.
00:14:04.080 --> 00:14:06.240
And slowly let it go.
00:14:09.440 --> 00:14:10.080
Again.
00:14:12.080 --> 00:14:16.480
Breathing in and breathing out.
00:14:20.159 --> 00:14:21.360
One more time.
00:14:23.120 --> 00:14:24.080
Inhale.
00:14:25.919 --> 00:14:29.200
Holding it at the top for a few moments.
00:14:31.519 --> 00:14:33.919
And exhaling it out.
00:14:37.279 --> 00:14:43.519
And I want you to think about that thing you want to vertone to.
00:14:44.639 --> 00:14:49.600
Not the thing you think you should vertone to.
00:14:50.799 --> 00:14:54.879
What do you actually want to come back to?
00:14:57.519 --> 00:14:59.120
Take a breath in.
00:15:01.759 --> 00:15:10.080
And as you exhale, letting go of some of the guilt around how long it's been.
00:15:13.120 --> 00:15:16.399
Taking another deep breath in.
00:15:19.200 --> 00:15:24.559
And letting go of the idea that you need to catch up.
00:15:27.919 --> 00:15:36.879
Breathing in and reminding yourself that I can begin from here.
00:15:40.320 --> 00:15:41.600
Exhaling out.
00:15:45.360 --> 00:15:46.000
Again.
00:15:48.399 --> 00:15:50.159
Breathing in and out.
00:15:52.399 --> 00:15:55.120
I can begin from here.
00:15:58.960 --> 00:16:02.080
You don't need yesterday's breath back.
00:16:02.799 --> 00:16:05.919
You don't need last week's breath back.
00:16:07.039 --> 00:16:13.039
You don't need to know what the next hundred breaths are going to feel like.
00:16:14.159 --> 00:16:17.039
You only have this one.
00:16:20.399 --> 00:16:24.480
And maybe life can work that way too.
00:16:25.919 --> 00:16:29.440
You don't need to fix everything today.
00:16:30.799 --> 00:16:35.679
You don't need to make up for everything you haven't done.
00:16:37.279 --> 00:16:44.639
You just need to decide what you're going to do with this moment.
00:16:46.799 --> 00:16:51.279
I invite you to take another slow deep breath in.
00:16:51.759 --> 00:16:54.799
And hold it gently at the top.
00:16:57.759 --> 00:17:00.559
And exhale, letting it go.
00:17:03.600 --> 00:17:12.079
And let's take one final breath in together, breathing in whatever it is you need right now.
00:17:14.960 --> 00:17:23.920
And as you exhale, release whatever you don't need or want to carry forward with you.
00:17:27.039 --> 00:17:31.200
Slowly coming back to your normal breath.
00:17:33.039 --> 00:17:40.640
And whenever you're ready, opening your eyes and coming back to the present moment.
00:17:44.240 --> 00:17:49.200
And that's the reminder I needed today.
00:17:50.000 --> 00:17:55.119
And maybe it's the reminder you need it as well.
00:17:56.319 --> 00:17:58.559
You don't have to catch up.
00:17:59.599 --> 00:18:03.839
You don't have to punish yourself for getting off track.
00:18:05.599 --> 00:18:16.880
You don't have to wait until Monday, next month, or January 1st, or until you magically feel quote unquote motivated.
00:18:17.599 --> 00:18:28.319
You can just come back, take the breath, do the thing, and begin from where you are.
00:18:30.559 --> 00:18:40.480
And apparently, for me, beginning from where I am actually means publishing the bi-weekly podcast.
00:18:40.720 --> 00:18:42.880
I said I was gonna publish.
00:18:43.599 --> 00:18:45.039
So here we are.
00:18:45.680 --> 00:18:47.200
Thank you for being here.
00:18:47.440 --> 00:18:49.279
Thank you for breathing with me.
00:18:49.519 --> 00:18:54.000
And thank you for giving me the space to come back to.
00:18:55.119 --> 00:19:01.200
If this episode resonated with you, send it to somebody who might need the reminder.
00:19:01.599 --> 00:19:03.599
They don't have to start over.
00:19:04.640 --> 00:19:06.640
They can simply come back.
00:19:08.160 --> 00:19:14.400
If you're enjoying Breathwork Magic, make sure you are subscribed to the podcast.
00:19:14.559 --> 00:19:24.559
And if you haven't already, leave up a view because it helps more people discover the magic and the power of our breath.
00:19:24.880 --> 00:19:30.160
Thank you so much for tuning in to another episode of Breathwork Magic.
00:19:30.400 --> 00:19:32.319
I'll talk to you soon.
00:19:32.640 --> 00:19:38.000
And until then, just come back to your breath.
00:20:00.240 --> 00:20:11.200
I hope today's episode inspired you to connect more deeply with your breath and embrace the transformation that it can bring.
00:20:11.599 --> 00:20:17.039
Remember, as long as you have your breath, you have options.
00:20:17.759 --> 00:20:19.200
You're not stuck.
00:20:19.440 --> 00:20:22.640
You can make a change, you can make a shift.
00:20:22.960 --> 00:20:33.119
Each inhale is a new beginner, and every exhale is a chance to let go of what no longer serves you.
00:20:33.680 --> 00:20:37.680
If you enjoyed the episode, it would mean the world to me.
00:20:37.839 --> 00:20:51.839
If you shared this with a friend, left a rating or review, your support helps more people discover the magic of breath work and the incredible transformations it offers.
00:20:52.319 --> 00:21:11.759
If you're ready to take the next step, I encourage you and I invite you to join me every Monday evening virtually for a Mindful Mindset Monday, a virtual pay what you can breath work session where you can reset, recharge, and refocus.
00:21:11.920 --> 00:21:14.559
All of the information is in the show notes.
00:21:14.720 --> 00:21:22.480
