ACERCA DE ESTE EPISODIO
What connection does the arts have with our experiences of transcendence? Mark writes, “might not human-made artefacts also offer a means by which the transcendent might tremble through?”
In this second episode we get to what church leaders can do to encourage the artists in our congregations.
Mark Meynell is our guest in our inaugural episode to talk all things arts, faith, and transcendent. Marks works with the Langham Partnership, and author of books like What Makes Us Human?, When Darkness Seems Our Closest Friend, and Life After Life. We explore many aspects of his dissertation entitled "A Wild Whisper of Something Originally Wise - Harnessing the Arts to Restore the Plausibility of Transcendence within the Immanent Frame". Mark is also our speaker for our upcoming conference, the Artefact Gathering, October 2024: tinyurl.com/artefactgathering
