ÜBER DIESE EPISODE
Episode 3 of Lovecraft Country focuses on Letitia, and we're breaking down all the layers.
We talk about the themes of racism and community - how Black people were harassed in white neighborhoods and had to fight for themselves. The show brilliantly mirrors this with the spirits banding together to defeat the old white spirit in the mansion.
We also get into:
Letitia's impulsive choices and character development
The pacing issue: skipping the immediate grief of Uncle George's death
Letitia and Atticus' intimate scene and how it connects to trauma
Jurnee Smollett's phenomenal performance (especially that CGI-heavy basement scene)
Why fan ratings dipped for this episode
What's coming next
Lovecraft Country continues to blend horror with real social commentary, and we're here for it.
