ÜBER DIESE EPISODE
In this Tiger Dads episode, Beau and Jason sit down with Alicia Um Holmes, head coach of UCLA Bruins Women's Golf, for an inside look at one of the biggest mysteries in junior golf: college recruiting.
Coach Um Holmes pulls back the curtain on what she really looks for when evaluating players, how top college programs discover recruits, and what separates athletes who earn scholarship opportunities from those who don't. She shares practical advice for junior golfers and parents navigating the recruiting process, including what matters beyond scores and rankings and how families can approach recruiting with the right mindset.
Then Emmy joins the conversation to lighten things up, asking Coach Um Holmes about everything from her team's preparation routines to her favorite karaoke songs and most embarrassing coaching moments. It's a fun, personal look at one of college golf's top coaches...and a reminder that behind every successful program are real people who love the game just as much as their players.
Whether your family is years away from recruiting or already beginning the process, this episode is packed with practical advice, behind-the-scenes insight, and plenty of laughs along the way.
