1
00:00:02,720 --> 00:00:08,559
What if everything we've been told about
autoimmunity is wrong?
2
00:00:09,359 --> 00:00:11,279
I'm Elizabeth Yarnell.
3
00:00:11,439 --> 00:00:17,885
After awakening partially blind one morning in
1999, a doctor told me my multiple sclerosis
4
00:00:17,885 --> 00:00:21,484
would put me in a wheelchair within ten years.
5
00:00:22,524 --> 00:00:27,644
I refused to accept that as the end of the
story, so I started investigating.
6
00:00:28,730 --> 00:00:36,170
Welcome to The Inflammation Investigator, the
podcast that uncovers the inflammation lurking
7
00:00:36,170 --> 00:00:38,329
underneath your ailments.
8
00:00:39,289 --> 00:00:46,704
Because autoimmune and chronic conditions
should not be viewed as death knells when they
9
00:00:46,704 --> 00:00:49,344
are actually alarm bells.
10
00:00:50,625 --> 00:00:57,369
I'm a traditional naturopath and founder of the
Inflammation Academy, And in two episodes every
11
00:00:57,369 --> 00:01:01,689
week, we dig into what conventional medicine
might be missing.
12
00:01:02,570 --> 00:01:08,170
If you're living with chronic or unexplained
symptoms, this investigation is for you.
13
00:01:09,254 --> 00:01:12,215
Your body has been trying to tell you
something.
14
00:01:12,854 --> 00:01:14,215
Let's start listening.
15
00:01:21,109 --> 00:01:25,430
Hey, and welcome back to today's inflammation
investigator.
16
00:01:25,510 --> 00:01:30,950
Today, we're going to talk about mitochondria,
which if you don't know about mitochondria,
17
00:01:30,950 --> 00:01:37,915
they are the powerhouse, the storehouse, the
the batteries of our whole energy centers in
18
00:01:37,915 --> 00:01:38,635
our body.
19
00:01:38,635 --> 00:01:40,715
So super, super important.
20
00:01:41,034 --> 00:01:44,234
And it's going to relate to menopause too.
21
00:01:44,234 --> 00:01:52,480
We're going to talk about kind of really
different approaches to menopause and bringing
22
00:01:52,480 --> 00:01:55,760
your energy levels back to where they should
be.
23
00:01:56,079 --> 00:01:59,680
So let me introduce you to today's guest.
24
00:01:59,680 --> 00:02:02,079
It is Chris Burris.
25
00:02:02,240 --> 00:02:08,415
Chris Burris is a research engineer, founder,
and chief scientist of My Vital Sea.
26
00:02:08,895 --> 00:02:14,974
He's also the host of Live Beyond the Norms and
the author of Live Longer and Better.
27
00:02:15,294 --> 00:02:20,790
His primary mission is to help people live
longer, healthier, pain free lives, Drawing on
28
00:02:20,790 --> 00:02:27,030
a background in inventions, manufacturing, and
Internet technology, Chris has built his career
29
00:02:27,030 --> 00:02:31,430
around bringing scientific innovation into the
real world.
30
00:02:31,990 --> 00:02:41,574
Since the early nineteen nineties, he has been
producing e s s 60, a Nobel Prize winning
31
00:02:41,574 --> 00:02:47,574
molecule shown in studies to extend the
lifespan of test subjects by 90%.
32
00:02:48,599 --> 00:02:55,319
ESupplies research institutions worldwide years
and has been doing this for years before it
33
00:02:55,319 --> 00:02:58,040
became known in the biohacking space.
34
00:02:58,599 --> 00:03:07,574
So this is something that most people have not
had access to before now but has been used in
35
00:03:07,574 --> 00:03:09,094
the research community.
36
00:03:09,414 --> 00:03:11,655
So we're gonna talk to the source today.
37
00:03:11,655 --> 00:03:13,574
Chris, welcome to the podcast.
38
00:03:13,574 --> 00:03:15,495
Elizabeth, thank you so much for having me.
39
00:03:15,495 --> 00:03:16,294
I'm excited.
40
00:03:16,294 --> 00:03:21,490
One of the things that I love to do is to geek
out on the science about this molecule, and you
41
00:03:21,490 --> 00:03:23,169
give me the opportunity to do that.
42
00:03:23,169 --> 00:03:23,969
So thank you.
43
00:03:24,370 --> 00:03:25,250
Well, cool.
44
00:03:25,250 --> 00:03:26,129
I'm excited.
45
00:03:26,129 --> 00:03:30,610
So let's hope our listeners can follow along
and geek out on the science with us.
46
00:03:30,610 --> 00:03:36,495
We're gonna talk about the practical
applications of the science as well as the more
47
00:03:36,495 --> 00:03:38,814
scientific academic parts of it too.
48
00:03:38,814 --> 00:03:40,655
So lots coming up here.
49
00:03:40,655 --> 00:03:41,935
But, Chris, why don't we start off?
50
00:03:41,935 --> 00:03:43,215
Tell me how you got here.
51
00:03:43,534 --> 00:03:43,854
Yeah.
52
00:03:43,854 --> 00:03:47,439
Well, there's a so there'll be a lot of good
stories and a lot of fun analogies.
53
00:03:47,439 --> 00:03:51,840
I use one analogy that as it relates to
biology, that involves Mardi Gras.
54
00:03:51,840 --> 00:03:54,480
So we'll get to that at at some point, that
analogy.
55
00:03:54,480 --> 00:03:56,960
Most people haven't heard anything kind of like
that.
56
00:03:57,599 --> 00:04:02,924
The way I end so so many people end up in the
health and wellness space because they have a
57
00:04:02,924 --> 00:04:04,284
pain to passion story.
58
00:04:04,284 --> 00:04:08,364
And I'm a little envious of them because I
don't have that kind of beautiful story.
59
00:04:08,364 --> 00:04:12,364
I'm also not envious of them because at least I
don't have the pain piece of the pain to
60
00:04:12,364 --> 00:04:14,924
passion story, that's a good thing.
61
00:04:15,639 --> 00:04:21,000
The way I ended up here is I I knew I was gonna
be an entrepreneur from a very young age.
62
00:04:21,480 --> 00:04:27,080
And when I it came time to go to college, my
dad got my dad was in the air force, we moved
63
00:04:27,080 --> 00:04:32,855
every two years, and he got a second civilian
job in Houston as I was graduating from high
64
00:04:32,855 --> 00:04:33,095
school.
65
00:04:33,095 --> 00:04:37,894
So in my family, we knew we were going to
college, but we didn't have any plans for going
66
00:04:37,894 --> 00:04:38,294
to college.
67
00:04:38,294 --> 00:04:38,535
Right?
68
00:04:38,535 --> 00:04:41,495
Like so, like, right now, my I have boy girl
twins.
69
00:04:41,495 --> 00:04:42,294
They're 16.
70
00:04:42,294 --> 00:04:43,254
They're in their junior year.
71
00:04:43,629 --> 00:04:50,269
We're already making ideas and better let's get
into AP classes so that we can do a good job in
72
00:04:50,269 --> 00:04:51,310
getting into college.
73
00:04:51,389 --> 00:04:52,750
None of that happened for me.
74
00:04:52,750 --> 00:04:57,834
When it came time to come to college, I knew I
was going to be an entrepreneur and what should
75
00:04:57,834 --> 00:04:58,394
I study?
76
00:04:58,394 --> 00:05:03,675
And I actually, when I was researching my book
Live Longer and Better, went in and, you know,
77
00:05:03,675 --> 00:05:06,794
you might say today, hey, you should study
entrepreneurship.
78
00:05:06,794 --> 00:05:11,675
But when I graduated from high school, there
weren't any entrepreneurship courses.
79
00:05:12,120 --> 00:05:15,480
In fact, in the entire country, there was one
class.
80
00:05:15,480 --> 00:05:17,160
So that wasn't even an option.
81
00:05:17,399 --> 00:05:22,600
I'm not even sure I would do that option today
because my thought process was I'm good in
82
00:05:22,600 --> 00:05:27,095
math, I'm good in science, what's the fastest
way to the highest salary so that I could have
83
00:05:27,095 --> 00:05:29,895
money to invest in a business and become an
entrepreneur?
84
00:05:30,455 --> 00:05:34,134
And for me, being good in math and science,
that was mechanical engineering.
85
00:05:34,615 --> 00:05:41,300
A couple of things went wrong with that, with
that plan, and the first one was it did take me
86
00:05:41,300 --> 00:05:43,060
more than four years to graduate.
87
00:05:43,060 --> 00:05:46,339
Engineering is a pretty rigorous study.
88
00:05:46,579 --> 00:05:48,419
I also so it took me six years.
89
00:05:48,419 --> 00:05:52,819
I did get a minor in computer science and math
so it took longer than I was thinking.
90
00:05:53,394 --> 00:05:57,555
Additionally, I ended up starting the company
while I was still in college.
91
00:05:57,555 --> 00:06:01,074
And the way that worked out is we're going be
talking about this molecule.
92
00:06:01,074 --> 00:06:03,074
I'm holding up a model of a molecule.
93
00:06:03,074 --> 00:06:07,460
If you're listening to the podcast, just
imagine a soccer ball where the lines on the
94
00:06:07,460 --> 00:06:09,939
soccer ball represent the bonds between the
carbon atoms.
95
00:06:09,939 --> 00:06:14,980
You have a spherical molecule of 60 carbon
atoms called ESS 60.
96
00:06:14,980 --> 00:06:17,699
That's elemental safe spheres, 60 atoms.
97
00:06:18,735 --> 00:06:20,735
The molecule was discovered in '85.
98
00:06:20,735 --> 00:06:24,894
The three scientists who discovered it won the
Nobel Prize in 1996.
99
00:06:25,375 --> 00:06:32,814
My business partner, Robert, was in the lab, a
particular chromatography lab on the University
100
00:06:32,814 --> 00:06:33,694
of Houston campus.
101
00:06:34,029 --> 00:06:39,310
And one day, his professor, professor Paul Chew
by the way, doctor Paul Chew is extremely
102
00:06:39,310 --> 00:06:39,949
famous.
103
00:06:40,029 --> 00:06:44,990
You've never heard of him, but he's extremely
famous in the superconductivity world.
104
00:06:44,990 --> 00:06:51,324
In fact, the building that all of this happened
in was the Texas Center for Superconductivity.
105
00:06:51,404 --> 00:06:56,204
We just called it Chew's Castle because doctor
Paul Chew's fame built this building.
106
00:06:56,524 --> 00:06:59,564
So my business partner Robert is working in
Chew's Castle.
107
00:06:59,819 --> 00:07:04,139
Doctor Paul Chew comes in and says, hey, you
are young kids, and he was actually separating
108
00:07:04,139 --> 00:07:04,939
this molecule.
109
00:07:04,939 --> 00:07:11,020
There's lots of molecules that come as you're
making this molecule, and he was separating it.
110
00:07:11,020 --> 00:07:12,779
And doctor Chew said, hey, you are young kids.
111
00:07:13,574 --> 00:07:17,495
This molecule is selling for $6,000 a gram.
112
00:07:17,814 --> 00:07:20,855
You should go make a machine and sell this
material.
113
00:07:21,175 --> 00:07:25,894
My business partner, Robert, is from an
entrepreneurial background, and I joke that he
114
00:07:25,894 --> 00:07:32,769
did a back of the napkin calculation that had
only one line, dollars 6,000 a gram, and off he
115
00:07:32,769 --> 00:07:34,449
was to make this equipment.
116
00:07:34,610 --> 00:07:36,529
It's very hard to make this molecule.
117
00:07:36,529 --> 00:07:38,449
You actually have to vaporize graphite.
118
00:07:38,449 --> 00:07:42,395
First off, let me just start with it is a
naturally occurring molecule.
119
00:07:42,955 --> 00:07:46,955
Everyone in your audience has been exposed to
this, and I'll offer as evidence.
120
00:07:47,194 --> 00:07:52,555
If you take the soot of a candle flame so you
might do that by taking a candle flame, put a
121
00:07:51,930 --> 00:07:54,250
cold steel plate over that candle flame.
122
00:07:54,250 --> 00:07:57,610
You'll get that deep dark soot on that cold
steel plate.
123
00:07:57,610 --> 00:08:03,529
That deep dark soot has parts per million or
parts per billion of this ESS 60 molecule.
124
00:08:03,610 --> 00:08:06,889
So we have all it's naturally occurring, and
we've all been exposed to it.
125
00:08:07,285 --> 00:08:11,285
But if you want appreciable quantities,
something that would go into, say, a health
126
00:08:11,285 --> 00:08:14,725
supplement, you actually need to manufacture
it.
127
00:08:14,725 --> 00:08:19,365
To manufacture it, you need to vaporize
graphite rods at the temperature of the sun
128
00:08:19,365 --> 00:08:22,964
because graphite is one of the hardest
materials on the temperature to vaporize.
129
00:08:23,339 --> 00:08:28,300
You also must do this devoid of oxygen, so you
can't have any oxygen in the chamber, and it
130
00:08:28,300 --> 00:08:29,660
must be at a slight vacuum.
131
00:08:29,660 --> 00:08:33,340
So there's all sorts of incredible engineering
challenges in this.
132
00:08:33,740 --> 00:08:37,259
That's why I was brought in to help with those
engineering challenges, to help with the
133
00:08:37,259 --> 00:08:37,580
drawings.
134
00:08:38,235 --> 00:08:43,754
And so we started manufacturing and
distributing this molecule in 1991.
135
00:08:44,154 --> 00:08:48,875
We are the oldest and longest manufacturer and
distributor of the molecule.
136
00:08:49,115 --> 00:08:55,009
Now the molecule is amazing so it performs as
well or better than the current best material
137
00:08:55,089 --> 00:08:56,850
in almost every application.
138
00:08:57,169 --> 00:09:00,690
So it makes better inks, better batteries,
better tires, better photocells.
139
00:09:00,690 --> 00:09:05,649
This is where people usually get nervous
because nobody in your audience woke up this
140
00:09:05,649 --> 00:09:09,855
morning, looked out at their car and thought, I
wonder what part of my car battery I should be
141
00:09:09,855 --> 00:09:12,175
consuming on a daily basis for my health.
142
00:09:12,575 --> 00:09:14,975
And actually, the story gets a little bit
worse.
143
00:09:14,975 --> 00:09:19,695
So on the exterior of the soccer ball shaped
molecule, there is one shape.
144
00:09:19,695 --> 00:09:21,360
So not the formula. It's the
145
00:09:21,040 --> 00:09:22,720
It's the same shape as benzene.
146
00:09:22,720 --> 00:09:24,399
It occurs 20 times.
147
00:09:24,720 --> 00:09:28,000
Benzene is known to be toxic, known to be
carcinogenic.
148
00:09:28,000 --> 00:09:33,440
And so because that shape occurred on the
exterior of this cage 20 times, they thought
149
00:09:33,440 --> 00:09:34,639
the molecule would be toxic.
150
00:09:35,014 --> 00:09:38,215
They put it in a toxicity finally, the story
starts getting better.
151
00:09:38,215 --> 00:09:39,575
They put it in this study.
152
00:09:40,695 --> 00:09:46,294
The test subjects that they gave it to, in this
case, Wistar rats, lived 90% longer than the
153
00:09:46,294 --> 00:09:46,855
control group.
154
00:09:47,600 --> 00:09:53,200
So that's the single longest longevity
experimental result on mammals in history.
155
00:09:53,519 --> 00:09:55,120
Peer reviewed published research.
156
00:09:55,120 --> 00:09:58,079
I'm very proud to share my lab provided the
material.
157
00:09:58,079 --> 00:10:00,399
My lab is mentioned in that original study.
158
00:10:00,735 --> 00:10:05,855
And I'll just wrap this up with the most
consistent testimonial from people who take
159
00:10:05,855 --> 00:10:10,495
that formula is that they take it in the
morning, they report mental focus and energy
160
00:10:10,495 --> 00:10:13,134
during the day, and then better sleep that
night.
161
00:10:13,134 --> 00:10:16,740
By the the way, that's pretty profound for a a
couple of reasons.
162
00:10:17,220 --> 00:10:21,700
First off, if you just improve sleep, you will
improve mental, physical, and emotional
163
00:10:21,700 --> 00:10:22,259
well-being.
164
00:10:22,259 --> 00:10:22,580
Right?
165
00:10:22,580 --> 00:10:24,980
Like, that's just so powerful, so important.
166
00:10:25,620 --> 00:10:31,024
The next is to take something in the morning
that positively impacts sleep at night is
167
00:10:31,024 --> 00:10:32,304
basically unheard of.
168
00:10:32,304 --> 00:10:37,264
I've been asking the question of, all sorts of
wellness experts and people that I get on,
169
00:10:37,585 --> 00:10:40,840
podcasts with, and nobody come can come up with
any.
170
00:10:40,840 --> 00:10:43,160
I actually did have Natalie Needham.
171
00:10:43,480 --> 00:10:45,799
She has an amazing podcast called longevity.
172
00:10:45,799 --> 00:10:48,440
She and and is a peptide expert.
173
00:10:48,440 --> 00:10:50,279
And she goes, oh, there's this one peptide.
174
00:10:50,279 --> 00:10:52,200
Like, you take it in the morning, it'll help
you sleep.
175
00:10:52,200 --> 00:10:56,304
And I was like, well, I haven't like, I don't
remember the peptide, and I it's not a peptide
176
00:10:56,304 --> 00:10:57,585
that I played around with.
177
00:10:57,825 --> 00:11:02,465
So, basically, to take something in the morning
positively impacts sleep at night is pretty
178
00:11:02,465 --> 00:11:03,024
profound.
179
00:11:03,024 --> 00:11:08,149
And we think that goes to support what I'm sure
we'll talk about, which is the boss theory as
180
00:11:08,149 --> 00:11:11,190
it relates to how this molecule is kind of
impacting the body.
181
00:11:12,629 --> 00:11:13,029
Yes.
182
00:11:13,029 --> 00:11:16,950
We will definitely be talking about the boss
theory, but I I have to go back a little bit
183
00:11:16,950 --> 00:11:21,269
first because I'm kind of stuck on this idea
that you can vaporize graphite.
184
00:11:21,605 --> 00:11:22,004
Mhmm.
185
00:11:22,004 --> 00:11:23,045
Isn't that crazy?
186
00:11:23,045 --> 00:11:26,565
I didn't know you could vaporize a solid
material.
187
00:11:27,365 --> 00:11:30,485
I thought vaporize was only from liquid.
188
00:11:30,805 --> 00:11:31,205
Yeah.
189
00:11:31,205 --> 00:11:37,529
So there is so a lot of metals, you so you can
take steel and you can melt it, and then that
190
00:11:37,529 --> 00:11:39,690
will vaporize eventually Oh.
191
00:11:39,690 --> 00:11:40,809
At enough temperature.
192
00:11:40,809 --> 00:11:41,370
Right?
193
00:11:41,370 --> 00:11:43,690
So that does happen or a reduced vacuum.
194
00:11:43,690 --> 00:11:43,850
Right?
195
00:11:43,850 --> 00:11:47,129
There's a the the the temperature and pressure
are interrelated.
196
00:11:47,450 --> 00:11:52,649
There are some materials that do not have a
liquid phase, and and graphite is one of those
197
00:11:52,154 --> 00:11:52,795
materials.
198
00:11:52,795 --> 00:11:55,274
There is no liquid phase carbon.
199
00:11:55,274 --> 00:11:59,355
Actually, there may be, like, really extreme
pressure or something that, like, is just
200
00:11:59,355 --> 00:12:00,715
unheard of on Earth.
201
00:12:01,274 --> 00:12:03,754
So it does something that's called sublimation.
202
00:12:03,754 --> 00:12:04,875
It goes directly.
203
00:12:04,875 --> 00:12:10,049
So so so we're we're familiar with snow on the
ground.
204
00:12:10,049 --> 00:12:10,529
Right?
205
00:12:10,529 --> 00:12:12,850
And then it normally melts and drains off.
206
00:12:13,009 --> 00:12:18,850
But there is one aspect called sublimation
where that ice will go directly to vapor.
207
00:12:18,929 --> 00:12:19,250
Right?
208
00:12:19,250 --> 00:12:20,450
That's called sublimation.
209
00:12:20,985 --> 00:12:22,985
And that's really what's happening with this
graphite.
210
00:12:22,985 --> 00:12:24,904
It goes just directly to vapor.
211
00:12:25,384 --> 00:12:30,825
And so, yeah, it's at, again, at the
temperatures of the sun, the same temperatures.
212
00:12:32,024 --> 00:12:32,585
Okay.
213
00:12:32,585 --> 00:12:33,304
Wow.
214
00:12:33,464 --> 00:12:34,105
Okay.
215
00:12:34,105 --> 00:12:41,290
So you found out that these mice were living
90% longer than the control group.
216
00:12:41,850 --> 00:12:43,610
And then and then what happens?
217
00:12:43,610 --> 00:12:45,850
And then and then what?
218
00:12:46,250 --> 00:12:50,649
So, you'll hear a couple times in this that
Chris wishes he was smarter.
219
00:12:51,075 --> 00:12:51,394
Right?
220
00:12:51,394 --> 00:12:55,875
Because somebody would, see that study and go,
oh, we should make a supplement and sell it
221
00:12:55,875 --> 00:12:56,595
right away.
222
00:12:56,595 --> 00:12:59,154
That's not what happened, and there's reasons
for that.
223
00:12:59,154 --> 00:13:02,355
So interestingly, that study came out in mid
two thousand and twelve.
224
00:13:03,039 --> 00:13:07,840
By mid twenty thirteen, we started getting
phone calls from this crazy wacky group of
225
00:13:07,840 --> 00:13:09,519
people called biohackers.
226
00:13:09,600 --> 00:13:12,720
And I can say that affectionately because I am
now a biohacker.
227
00:13:12,879 --> 00:13:17,654
And they were like, hey, that study where the
rats live 90% longer, how much of that stuff
228
00:13:17,654 --> 00:13:19,095
should we be consuming?
229
00:13:19,335 --> 00:13:22,134
And my business partner, Robert, and I, we were
like, wait.
230
00:13:22,134 --> 00:13:25,014
What we heard, the question we really heard
was, hey, Chris.
231
00:13:25,014 --> 00:13:29,654
That stuff that you sell to research
institutions around the world so they can put
232
00:13:29,654 --> 00:13:32,669
it into ink, batteries, tires, and photocells.
233
00:13:32,669 --> 00:13:35,149
How much of that stuff should we be consuming?
234
00:13:35,709 --> 00:13:38,509
And we thought the appropriate answer was none.
235
00:13:38,509 --> 00:13:39,149
Zero.
236
00:13:39,230 --> 00:13:43,389
And we actually added not for human consumption
to our labeling in mid two thousand and
237
00:13:43,389 --> 00:13:43,789
thirteen.
238
00:13:43,789 --> 00:13:49,315
So you think from 1991 all the way to mid two
thousand thirteen, we don't have not for human
239
00:13:49,315 --> 00:13:52,514
consumption on the labeling because we don't
have people trying to take it.
240
00:13:53,154 --> 00:13:55,794
And so we add not for human consumption to the
labeling.
241
00:13:55,794 --> 00:13:57,475
I wanna be extremely clear.
242
00:13:57,475 --> 00:14:00,870
In the literature, it was understood this
molecule was safe.
243
00:14:01,029 --> 00:14:03,750
We're just conservative carbon nanomaterial
scientists.
244
00:14:03,750 --> 00:14:04,149
Right?
245
00:14:04,149 --> 00:14:06,710
And so inks, batteries, tires, photocells were
like, no.
246
00:14:06,710 --> 00:14:08,870
We don't think you should, consume it.
247
00:14:08,870 --> 00:14:13,430
That turned into a very interesting situation
where we were getting two to three phone calls
248
00:14:13,430 --> 00:14:16,745
per week, and those phone calls sounded kind of
like this.
249
00:14:16,745 --> 00:14:20,345
Joe would call me and he'd say, Hey Chris, my
knee pain is gone.
250
00:14:20,345 --> 00:14:23,144
And I would say, Joe, you mean the knee pain of
your rat?
251
00:14:23,144 --> 00:14:26,345
Because it literally says not for human
consumption on labeling.
252
00:14:26,664 --> 00:14:27,945
And he would go, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
253
00:14:27,945 --> 00:14:34,350
Hey, If my rat weighs 275 pounds and does HIIT
training on Thursdays and Fridays, should I
254
00:14:34,350 --> 00:14:37,870
take I mean, should my rat take more on the
days of HIIT training?
255
00:14:37,870 --> 00:14:38,350
Right?
256
00:14:38,350 --> 00:14:40,350
So we again, we knew what was going on.
257
00:14:40,350 --> 00:14:42,589
In the literature, it was safe in the molecule.
258
00:14:42,909 --> 00:14:47,605
And, basically, every quarter, literally in the
room right behind me, the conference room right
259
00:14:47,605 --> 00:14:51,524
behind me, my business partner Robert and I
would get together and be like, do we wanna get
260
00:14:51,524 --> 00:14:53,285
into this supplement industry?
261
00:14:54,004 --> 00:14:58,769
And we're, you know, we're selling to we're
actually selling to the most stringent industry
262
00:14:58,769 --> 00:15:01,490
period, which is the research industry.
263
00:15:01,730 --> 00:15:07,889
When we ship them this black powder, they take
it and they give it to a grad student or a
264
00:15:08,129 --> 00:15:09,250
research associate.
265
00:15:09,250 --> 00:15:10,370
They do the testing with it.
266
00:15:10,370 --> 00:15:14,384
They make sure that we shipped them what we
sold them, which is not what happens in the
267
00:15:14,384 --> 00:15:15,264
supplement industry.
268
00:15:15,264 --> 00:15:20,465
And in fact, kind of in this time span where we
didn't wanna get into the supplement industry,
269
00:15:20,465 --> 00:15:25,105
I I like I think it's generous to say that the
supplement industry is challenged.
270
00:15:25,279 --> 00:15:25,679
Right?
271
00:15:25,679 --> 00:15:28,960
We'll just that's a very generous way to say
it.
272
00:15:29,120 --> 00:15:34,240
And in fact, in this time frame, I found a peer
reviewed published research paper that showed
273
00:15:34,240 --> 00:15:39,519
that 50 of the supplements this research group
had purchased on the market didn't have in them
274
00:15:39,519 --> 00:15:41,575
what they said they had in them, Right?
275
00:15:41,575 --> 00:15:45,894
So this is the antithesis of selling to
research institutions around the world.
276
00:15:46,455 --> 00:15:52,375
So finally, at the latter part of 2017, a guy
with a big YouTube following starts sharing all
277
00:15:52,375 --> 00:15:53,014
the benefits.
278
00:15:53,014 --> 00:15:55,649
By the way, YouTube following changes
everything these days.
279
00:15:55,649 --> 00:15:55,809
Right?
280
00:15:55,809 --> 00:15:56,929
That's how everything changes.
281
00:15:56,929 --> 00:16:01,329
He he starts sharing all the benefits he's
getting, taking it on a daily basis, and our
282
00:16:01,329 --> 00:16:05,330
phone went from two to three calls per week to
10 calls a day.
283
00:16:06,049 --> 00:16:10,004
So at that quarterly meeting, my business
partner, Robert, and I was like, well, we you
284
00:16:10,004 --> 00:16:13,684
know, apparently, is a this is an opportunity
we didn't realize.
285
00:16:14,164 --> 00:16:15,445
We wish we were smarter.
286
00:16:15,524 --> 00:16:20,644
And we also looked back to that peer reviewed
published research paper where 50% of the
287
00:16:20,644 --> 00:16:24,269
supplements on the market don't have in them
what they say they have in them, and we knew
288
00:16:24,269 --> 00:16:27,870
this would happen in that industry, in our
industry, right, in this industry.
289
00:16:28,669 --> 00:16:32,589
And we're the oldest and longest manufacturer
and distributor of the molecule on the planet.
290
00:16:32,589 --> 00:16:38,534
We can make it to the highest possible
standing, quality standards And so we decided,
291
00:16:38,615 --> 00:16:42,054
well, we asked ourselves two questions and then
got into the industry.
292
00:16:42,454 --> 00:16:44,934
The two questions were first a moral question.
293
00:16:44,934 --> 00:16:46,774
Are we comfortable selling it?
294
00:16:47,014 --> 00:16:47,814
I take it.
295
00:16:47,814 --> 00:16:48,774
My wife takes it.
296
00:16:48,774 --> 00:16:50,710
Everybody on our team here takes it.
297
00:16:50,950 --> 00:16:54,230
By the way, not a requirement to work here.
298
00:16:54,230 --> 00:16:58,070
You don't clock in and somebody makes sure you
take your shot of My Vital C.
299
00:16:58,389 --> 00:17:03,509
Everybody here, like everyone, has access to
all of the research that's available out there.
300
00:17:04,065 --> 00:17:08,065
But they also, maybe more importantly, have
access to all the testimonials that are coming
301
00:17:08,065 --> 00:17:09,984
in through the customer service department.
302
00:17:10,065 --> 00:17:12,304
Many of these testimonials we can't share.
303
00:17:12,544 --> 00:17:13,904
They're just so profound.
304
00:17:13,904 --> 00:17:15,424
We've got a lot more research to do.
305
00:17:16,240 --> 00:17:17,519
So that was first.
306
00:17:17,519 --> 00:17:19,359
Morally, yes, comfortable selling it.
307
00:17:19,440 --> 00:17:20,559
Next is the legal.
308
00:17:20,559 --> 00:17:22,720
So you've got the FDA and the FTC.
309
00:17:22,720 --> 00:17:23,759
You've got to cross the t's.
310
00:17:23,759 --> 00:17:25,039
You've got to dot the i's.
311
00:17:25,039 --> 00:17:25,759
We're doing that.
312
00:17:25,759 --> 00:17:31,634
So in 2018, we started bringing this molecule
to to the industry.
313
00:17:31,634 --> 00:17:37,795
And that's kind of when I I I was given an
additional role, which is that of the chief
314
00:17:37,795 --> 00:17:41,795
scientist of a car well, I was already the
chief scientist of a carbon nanomaterial
315
00:17:41,795 --> 00:17:42,674
manufacturing business.
316
00:17:42,940 --> 00:17:47,820
Now we've added a new hat, which is the chief
scientist of a health and wellness supplement
317
00:17:47,820 --> 00:17:48,299
company.
318
00:17:48,299 --> 00:17:52,779
And and so things really started changing,
about 2018.
319
00:17:54,059 --> 00:18:00,434
Who had the idea of taking this this substance
that you were using for ink cartridges and
320
00:18:00,434 --> 00:18:04,194
automobiles and and even testing it on rats?
321
00:18:04,515 --> 00:18:04,994
Yeah.
322
00:18:04,994 --> 00:18:10,275
Well, so because it's good in inks, batteries,
tires, and photocells, the research community,
323
00:18:10,275 --> 00:18:14,970
the scientists scientific community thought
that man would be working with us on a regular
324
00:18:14,970 --> 00:18:15,609
basis.
325
00:18:15,609 --> 00:18:16,009
Right?
326
00:18:16,009 --> 00:18:18,889
Currently, by the way, there's a couple of
applications.
327
00:18:19,289 --> 00:18:23,129
I don't this is so fascinating because I I
learned this recently.
328
00:18:23,929 --> 00:18:30,144
So do you remember escalators and those black
handles with escalators used to be filled with
329
00:18:30,144 --> 00:18:30,865
static?
330
00:18:31,345 --> 00:18:36,384
And you may not have noticed because it's so
subtle, they're no longer filled with static
331
00:18:37,345 --> 00:18:39,139
because they've added nanotubes.
332
00:18:39,139 --> 00:18:42,339
Now nanotubes are related to this ESS 60
molecule.
333
00:18:42,339 --> 00:18:46,259
They're long tubes, that have a similar
structure.
334
00:18:46,579 --> 00:18:52,579
By adding these nanotubes to that black
plastic, it diffuses the static electricity.
335
00:18:52,579 --> 00:18:57,315
So next time you go out on an escalator, think
back to when we were younger, and by the way,
336
00:18:57,315 --> 00:19:01,475
this is probably only five, maybe ten years
ago, when it was full of static.
337
00:19:01,475 --> 00:19:06,035
You could feel the static on this thing because
it's a rubber that's constantly moving and
338
00:19:06,035 --> 00:19:06,835
rubbing against stuff.
339
00:19:07,700 --> 00:19:10,740
So that is an application of a similar
technology.
340
00:19:11,460 --> 00:19:16,980
In organic solar cells, this molecule is one of
the best molecules for that.
341
00:19:16,980 --> 00:19:21,059
So these are they're practical applications,
and we continue to sell to the research
342
00:19:21,140 --> 00:19:22,099
community about this.
343
00:19:22,534 --> 00:19:27,815
If it's so good in all these applications, then
the scientific community thought we would be
344
00:19:27,815 --> 00:19:29,894
working with mass quantities of it.
345
00:19:29,894 --> 00:19:31,095
It's just too expensive.
346
00:19:31,095 --> 00:19:32,694
Like, it was one of the challenges.
347
00:19:32,934 --> 00:19:37,820
And if if man is gonna be working with things
at large quantities, you wanna to understand
348
00:19:37,820 --> 00:19:38,859
the toxicity.
349
00:19:38,940 --> 00:19:43,980
And remember, because this shape is the benzene
ring and it occurs 20 times the exterior of the
350
00:19:43,980 --> 00:19:49,099
cage, they assumed it would be toxic, so they
wanted to find out how toxic is it.
351
00:19:49,339 --> 00:19:50,779
And that's why they did that study.
352
00:19:51,134 --> 00:19:56,174
And instead of it being toxic, the test
subjects, in this case, Wistar rats, lived 90%
353
00:19:56,174 --> 00:19:57,615
longer than the control group.
354
00:19:58,815 --> 00:19:59,534
Wow.
355
00:19:59,855 --> 00:20:00,575
Okay.
356
00:20:01,855 --> 00:20:02,575
Okay.
357
00:20:02,575 --> 00:20:08,460
I'm still, like, blown away that that they I
guess that must happen all the time that
358
00:20:08,460 --> 00:20:13,819
they're using what they think to be toxic
studies or toxic substances and testing them on
359
00:20:13,819 --> 00:20:15,740
rats to make sure they're toxic.
360
00:20:15,740 --> 00:20:16,380
Yes.
361
00:20:16,380 --> 00:20:18,460
That is and and I know there's a lot of people.
362
00:20:18,460 --> 00:20:18,984
It's cruel.
363
00:20:18,984 --> 00:20:20,664
I wish there was a better way to do this.
364
00:20:20,664 --> 00:20:25,384
We're clearly not gonna do those tests on
humans, and some people might argue that's what
365
00:20:25,384 --> 00:20:26,104
we should do.
366
00:20:26,424 --> 00:20:27,544
I don't think so.
367
00:20:27,865 --> 00:20:29,704
So so, yeah, those initial studies.
368
00:20:29,704 --> 00:20:35,079
And and what's interesting is when you're
trying to find out if something is toxic, you
369
00:20:35,079 --> 00:20:38,839
don't give a little bit to the rats and see if
they don't feel well.
370
00:20:38,839 --> 00:20:42,039
That study doesn't come out well.
371
00:20:42,200 --> 00:20:47,234
You actually give them as much as you think
they can handle and see if they die.
372
00:20:47,474 --> 00:20:49,154
That is the situation.
373
00:20:49,154 --> 00:20:49,954
I know it sounds cruel.
374
00:20:49,954 --> 00:20:50,994
It's not my study.
375
00:20:51,234 --> 00:20:55,234
But honestly, it's the right way to approach
toxicity for humans.
376
00:20:56,274 --> 00:20:58,595
And so in this case, they're giving them a lot.
377
00:20:59,039 --> 00:21:04,720
And I I actually like to give credit to the
researchers because if anything was ever true
378
00:21:04,720 --> 00:21:11,759
about our toxicity study, when all of the
control rats, so those rats given water, are
379
00:21:11,759 --> 00:21:19,714
dead and all of the toxic rats are still alive,
that material is not toxic.
380
00:21:19,795 --> 00:21:20,194
Right?
381
00:21:20,194 --> 00:21:24,994
Because, like, they've outlived normal rats, so
it's clearly not talk they could have ended
382
00:21:24,994 --> 00:21:28,035
their experiment at that time, and that
happened at about thirty two months.
383
00:21:29,450 --> 00:21:34,410
And they continued to do the animal husbandry
out to sixty two months, so that's another two
384
00:21:34,410 --> 00:21:35,450
and a half years.
385
00:21:36,170 --> 00:21:38,809
Really, they were down to two remaining rats.
386
00:21:38,890 --> 00:21:40,169
One of them passed.
387
00:21:40,170 --> 00:21:43,289
They euthanized the last one because they have
to publish their studies.
388
00:21:43,289 --> 00:21:47,115
Again, they're two and a half years past the
time that they could have reported their study
389
00:21:47,115 --> 00:21:51,115
and said this material is absolutely not toxic.
390
00:21:51,115 --> 00:21:53,275
Like, could have said that two and a half years
earlier.
391
00:21:53,275 --> 00:21:55,994
So I like to give a lot of credit to them.
392
00:21:56,394 --> 00:22:01,369
I'll share there's another aspect of the study
that's pretty powerful, which is a typical
393
00:22:01,369 --> 00:22:06,009
Wistar rat lives out to 32 and has a known
amount of tumor mass in its body.
394
00:22:06,169 --> 00:22:09,609
The longer it lives, the more tumor mass it
gets in its body.
395
00:22:10,009 --> 00:22:15,234
Even though the MyVital C rats lived out to
sixty two months, again, 90% longer, none of
396
00:22:15,234 --> 00:22:16,754
them had any tumors.
397
00:22:16,994 --> 00:22:21,075
Now I've told that story to people, and they're
like, oh, cure for cancer, and I'm like, nope.
398
00:22:21,234 --> 00:22:22,914
And then I like to add another no.
399
00:22:22,914 --> 00:22:24,229
Let's be really clear.
400
00:22:24,629 --> 00:22:29,589
There's a big difference between dealing with a
cancer that has metastasized and potentially
401
00:22:29,589 --> 00:22:31,269
being a cancer preventative.
402
00:22:31,589 --> 00:22:37,024
We know things as simple as good exercise, good
nutrition, good sleep can be cancer
403
00:22:37,024 --> 00:22:37,825
preventatives.
404
00:22:37,825 --> 00:22:42,464
And that just throws this molecule, this ESS60
molecule, into that arena.
405
00:22:42,944 --> 00:22:47,345
I will share there is one petri dish study that
I think is fascinating and related.
406
00:22:47,345 --> 00:22:50,784
By the way, petri dish studies, the lowest
level of study.
407
00:22:50,865 --> 00:22:55,480
You should accept an anecdote over a petri dish
study, period.
408
00:22:55,480 --> 00:22:56,360
End of story.
409
00:22:56,360 --> 00:22:56,920
Right?
410
00:22:57,000 --> 00:22:58,359
But this is relevant.
411
00:22:58,360 --> 00:23:04,440
So in a petri dish, they have healthy cells and
cancer cells, and they introduce an anticancer
412
00:23:04,440 --> 00:23:04,759
agent.
413
00:23:04,694 --> 00:23:04,934
Agent.
414
00:23:04,934 --> 00:23:06,534
That's basically a poison.
415
00:23:06,615 --> 00:23:09,815
You're hoping to poison the cancer cells before
the healthy cells.
416
00:23:10,134 --> 00:23:16,134
In the presence of the ESS60 molecule, there is
increased efficacy against the cancer cells and
417
00:23:16,134 --> 00:23:19,129
protective effects for the healthy cells.
418
00:23:19,210 --> 00:23:25,369
So basically in the presence of ESS60, more
cancer cells die, less healthy cells die.
419
00:23:26,089 --> 00:23:31,609
This, I think, comes back to and we'll talk
about this at some point the boss theory in
420
00:23:31,609 --> 00:23:35,865
that we believe this molecule works at the
level of the mitochondria because cancer
421
00:23:35,865 --> 00:23:40,105
mitochondria use a different energy source than
healthy cell mitochondria.
422
00:23:41,305 --> 00:23:41,785
Okay.
423
00:23:41,785 --> 00:23:44,345
Before we move on, I just want to clarify.
424
00:23:44,345 --> 00:23:50,079
So what you're saying with that Petri dish
study showed was that in in a practical
425
00:23:50,079 --> 00:23:56,319
application, if you were to take chemotherapy
to deal with a cancer diagnosis and you were to
426
00:23:56,319 --> 00:24:01,119
add this ESS 60 molecule, that that would make
it more effective.
427
00:24:01,825 --> 00:24:04,545
That is the implication of that.
428
00:24:04,785 --> 00:24:06,705
So we can't make that statement, of course.
429
00:24:06,705 --> 00:24:06,945
Right.
430
00:24:06,945 --> 00:24:07,105
Right.
431
00:24:07,105 --> 00:24:07,184
Right.
432
00:24:07,184 --> 00:24:07,664
Right.
433
00:24:07,664 --> 00:24:13,184
So taking something from from a petri dish and
introducing it into any animal model, including
434
00:24:13,184 --> 00:24:17,380
a human, is a risky endeavor, but that is the
implications.
435
00:24:17,380 --> 00:24:18,979
You you you nailed it.
436
00:24:19,700 --> 00:24:20,259
Okay.
437
00:24:20,259 --> 00:24:22,579
So let's go on to the boss model.
438
00:24:22,579 --> 00:24:27,140
But before we do that, I want to lay a
foundation for people who might not have the
439
00:24:27,140 --> 00:24:34,515
kind of anatomical knowledge of the human body
and and really let's start with the found kind
440
00:24:34,515 --> 00:24:37,075
of the base level of mitochondria.
441
00:24:37,075 --> 00:24:38,194
What is mitochondria?
442
00:24:38,194 --> 00:24:39,075
How does that work?
443
00:24:39,154 --> 00:24:44,640
Because you're the inflammation investigator, I
wanna I wanna walk through my process because
444
00:24:44,640 --> 00:24:49,039
inflammation comes into that process, and then
we'll get to the boss theory because I think
445
00:24:49,039 --> 00:24:50,960
that supports what we're about to say.
446
00:24:50,960 --> 00:24:56,640
So so you can imagine in 2018, my role changes,
now chief scientist of a health and wellness
447
00:24:56,640 --> 00:25:01,005
supplement company, and I'm trying to figure
out what what how is it working.
448
00:25:01,005 --> 00:25:01,164
Right?
449
00:25:01,164 --> 00:25:02,365
What is the method of action?
450
00:25:02,365 --> 00:25:03,325
Because that's I'm a scientist.
451
00:25:03,325 --> 00:25:06,445
I don't I would like I I don't wanna just know,
oh, it makes me feel better or whatever.
452
00:25:06,445 --> 00:25:08,365
My rat's knee pain is gone.
453
00:25:08,445 --> 00:25:09,484
I wanna know why.
454
00:25:09,884 --> 00:25:14,799
And the first place that we landed was because
our most consistent testimonial is people take
455
00:25:14,799 --> 00:25:18,639
it in the morning, report mental focus and
energy during the day, and better sleep that
456
00:25:18,639 --> 00:25:23,519
night, the first place we really landed was on
sleep, right, because if we can just improve
457
00:25:23,519 --> 00:25:27,200
sleep, we will improve your mental, physical,
and emotional well-being, right, so that's
458
00:25:27,200 --> 00:25:27,919
where we landed first.
459
00:25:28,884 --> 00:25:31,365
The next, I kind of looked at the medical
community.
460
00:25:31,365 --> 00:25:33,125
These rats live 90% longer.
461
00:25:33,125 --> 00:25:35,684
What does the medical community think about
aging?
462
00:25:36,085 --> 00:25:41,044
And they don't all agree because that's how
science works, but they tend to believe that
463
00:25:41,044 --> 00:25:44,244
aging is an oxidation and an inflammation
process.
464
00:25:44,430 --> 00:25:46,430
And I know you're familiar with that.
465
00:25:46,910 --> 00:25:53,390
In terms of an antioxidant, there's an ad hoc
study on the web showing us to be 172 times
466
00:25:53,390 --> 00:25:55,150
more powerful than vitamin C.
467
00:25:55,390 --> 00:25:59,710
There is peer reviewed published research
showing us to be 125 times more powerful than
468
00:25:59,710 --> 00:26:00,269
vitamin C.
469
00:26:00,565 --> 00:26:01,684
So I'm in Texas.
470
00:26:01,684 --> 00:26:04,804
We like to put a big old checkmark on
antioxidant.
471
00:26:05,365 --> 00:26:09,525
And you're going to know this but when it comes
to inflammation you have to be very careful
472
00:26:09,525 --> 00:26:15,365
about how you talk about inflammation because
the FDA equates conversations of inflammation
473
00:26:15,720 --> 00:26:21,240
with the diseases of inflammation, which are
also the diseases of aging, so arthritis,
474
00:26:21,240 --> 00:26:23,879
Alzheimer's, cardiovascular disease, cancer.
475
00:26:23,880 --> 00:26:27,159
So I come on your podcast, I share we address
inflammation.
476
00:26:27,159 --> 00:26:32,924
What the FDA hears is me claiming I cure
cancer, I cure cardiovascular disease.
477
00:26:33,085 --> 00:26:34,204
We are not claiming.
478
00:26:34,444 --> 00:26:39,244
There is so much research and really
fundamentally expensive research that needs to
479
00:26:39,244 --> 00:26:41,644
go in in order to be able to make that claim.
480
00:26:42,519 --> 00:26:47,880
We are starting four clinical they're called
real world trials so that we can get clinical
481
00:26:47,880 --> 00:26:52,759
quality data by the end of the year and I'm
sure I'll talk about that at some point.
482
00:26:53,240 --> 00:26:59,640
What the FDA does allow us to say is that we
address inflammation at least as it relates to
483
00:26:58,335 --> 00:26:59,934
exercise induced inflammation.
484
00:26:59,934 --> 00:27:03,375
So we add, I don't know, a little tiny check
mark next to inflammation.
485
00:27:03,375 --> 00:27:13,070
So this is all really important, fairly simple
to understand, but what's actual mechanism
486
00:27:13,070 --> 00:27:14,269
that's driving this?
487
00:27:14,670 --> 00:27:18,109
And what it is is called the BOSS theory.
488
00:27:18,750 --> 00:27:25,255
It stands for buffering oxidative stress
system, and what gives credibility to this is
489
00:27:25,255 --> 00:27:30,054
that there is peer reviewed published research
showing the ESS60 molecule inside of the
490
00:27:30,054 --> 00:27:31,174
mitochondria.
491
00:27:31,734 --> 00:27:36,295
And we also know from way back in the 90s that
this ESS60 molecule can hold up to six
492
00:27:36,295 --> 00:27:39,095
negatively charged particles on the exterior of
the cage.
493
00:27:39,750 --> 00:27:41,669
So here's what that looks like.
494
00:27:41,670 --> 00:27:45,910
I'm gonna get a little bit geeky, and then
we're gonna back out, and we're gonna have our
495
00:27:45,910 --> 00:27:50,069
Mardi Gras analogy that I'm sure everyone is
sticking around for.
496
00:27:50,069 --> 00:27:55,414
So the mitochondria is known as the powerhouse
of every cell.
497
00:27:55,414 --> 00:27:57,575
It serves many other functions, signaling.
498
00:27:57,575 --> 00:27:59,255
There's all sorts of stuff that it does.
499
00:27:59,494 --> 00:28:03,894
But the key component that we all kind of
attribute to the mitochondria is it's the
500
00:28:03,894 --> 00:28:05,255
powerhouse of every cell.
501
00:28:05,255 --> 00:28:07,255
It produces ATP.
502
00:28:07,335 --> 00:28:12,690
That's the energy, that your cells use to do
their job.
503
00:28:12,690 --> 00:28:18,609
So your liver cell, heart cell, kidney cell,
lung cell, brain cell, it needs ATP, and that's
504
00:28:18,609 --> 00:28:23,164
produced by the mitochondria from the food
that's gotten into your bloodstream, right, in
505
00:28:23,164 --> 00:28:25,565
order to do its job.
506
00:28:26,204 --> 00:28:29,964
Like any energy source, there is a negative
byproduct.
507
00:28:30,285 --> 00:28:33,565
You think about your car going down the road,
there is exhaust.
508
00:28:33,644 --> 00:28:37,240
You think about a power plant, there's a
smokestack with smoke coming out of it.
509
00:28:37,319 --> 00:28:41,079
In the case of mitochondria, it's reactive
oxygen species.
510
00:28:41,079 --> 00:28:45,799
Now the way I picture these reactive oxygen
species, they're like little bumper cars.
511
00:28:46,119 --> 00:28:49,559
And if they're left to their own devices,
everything they run around your body and smack
512
00:28:49,559 --> 00:28:56,255
into, they cause rust, oxidative stress,
oxidative damage, ultimately inflammaging,
513
00:28:56,255 --> 00:28:59,054
right, this confluence of inflammation and
aging.
514
00:29:00,095 --> 00:29:05,710
And this sounds horrible, and it is, but like
so many biological systems in our body, there
515
00:29:05,710 --> 00:29:10,589
is a way to manage it, and we actually can
manage it at the level of the mitochondria with
516
00:29:10,589 --> 00:29:11,950
two antioxidants.
517
00:29:11,950 --> 00:29:16,829
So this is typically glutathione and melatonin,
and they're responsible for managing those
518
00:29:16,829 --> 00:29:19,149
reactive oxygen species so they don't do
damage.
519
00:29:19,149 --> 00:29:22,794
And in a healthy mitochondria, that actually
happens.
520
00:29:23,115 --> 00:29:25,674
But what happens when you stress a
mitochondria?
521
00:29:25,674 --> 00:29:29,914
Now, this begs the question, how do you stress
a mitochondria?
522
00:29:29,914 --> 00:29:34,830
I point out that if you're alive in modern
society, you have stressed mitochondria.
523
00:29:34,830 --> 00:29:35,150
Right?
524
00:29:35,150 --> 00:29:40,269
Smoking, drinking, EMF radiation off of our
cell phones, stressful emails, stressful
525
00:29:40,269 --> 00:29:42,589
conversation, we have stressed mitochondria.
526
00:29:42,589 --> 00:29:47,630
And when that mitochondria is stressed, it
starts producing more reactive oxygen species
527
00:29:47,855 --> 00:29:51,534
than the internal glutathione and melatonin can
manage.
528
00:29:51,615 --> 00:29:56,335
And now, again, if they're left to their own
devices, those reactive oxygen species run
529
00:29:56,335 --> 00:30:00,095
around and they cause damage on everything they
bump into.
530
00:30:00,494 --> 00:30:03,134
And that's where the ESS60 molecule comes in.
531
00:30:03,134 --> 00:30:07,409
So, again, from peer reviewed published
research, we know it's in the mitochondria.
532
00:30:07,809 --> 00:30:13,649
We believe it holds on to up to six negatively
charged reactive oxygen species so they can't
533
00:30:13,649 --> 00:30:18,065
run around like little bumper cars and do
damage, and then when that mitochondria can
534
00:30:18,065 --> 00:30:23,024
replenish the glutathione, replenish the
melatonin, then it can manage those reactive
535
00:30:23,024 --> 00:30:27,345
oxygen species appropriately so that they
haven't actually done the bumper car damage.
536
00:30:28,399 --> 00:30:32,960
The summary: We believe we're reducing the
negative impact of stress mitochondria.
537
00:30:32,960 --> 00:30:33,440
All right.
538
00:30:33,440 --> 00:30:35,759
That was a lot of geeky science y stuff.
539
00:30:35,839 --> 00:30:38,319
Here is our analogy.
540
00:30:38,319 --> 00:30:42,724
I actually feel like all biological analogies
should start with Mardi Gras.
541
00:30:42,964 --> 00:30:46,085
I mean, a lot of biology happens at Mardi Gras,
so why not?
542
00:30:46,085 --> 00:30:48,005
So it's the end of Mardi Gras.
543
00:30:48,005 --> 00:30:53,684
You have these drunk reactive oxygen species on
Bourbon Street spray painting the walls,
544
00:30:53,684 --> 00:30:58,019
smashing windows, wreaking the, you know, the,
bumper car havoc.
545
00:30:58,500 --> 00:31:03,140
And you have the New Orleans police department,
the glutathione and the melatonin come on to
546
00:31:03,140 --> 00:31:07,700
Bourbon Street, handcuff themselves to those
reactive oxygen species, and get them off of
547
00:31:07,700 --> 00:31:08,259
Bourbon Street.
548
00:31:08,625 --> 00:31:12,144
But what does the New Orleans Police Department
do when they get overwhelmed?
549
00:31:12,384 --> 00:31:16,384
They take those reactive oxygen species, and
they put them in a paddy wagon.
550
00:31:16,464 --> 00:31:21,505
They attach them to the exterior of the ESSA 60
molecule so they can't run around and do
551
00:31:21,505 --> 00:31:21,825
damage.
552
00:31:22,259 --> 00:31:27,460
And then when the New Orleans Police Department
can replenish the glutathione, replenish the
553
00:31:27,460 --> 00:31:32,420
melatonin, then they can handcuff themselves to
those reactive oxygen species and get them off
554
00:31:32,420 --> 00:31:33,380
of Bourbon Street.
555
00:31:33,380 --> 00:31:39,674
And so that's why we say that the ESS 60
molecule is the boss buffering oxidative stress
556
00:31:39,674 --> 00:31:40,474
system.
557
00:31:41,115 --> 00:31:45,595
Now if we're reducing the negative impact of
stress mitochondria, given that there are
558
00:31:45,595 --> 00:31:50,474
between fifty and five thousand mitochondria in
every cell in your body, except for your blood
559
00:31:50,474 --> 00:31:54,609
cells, they actually don't have any
mitochondria, and your brain and neurons have
560
00:31:54,609 --> 00:31:55,890
2,000,000.
561
00:31:56,609 --> 00:32:01,809
It is amazing how much energy our nervous
system uses relative to all of our other
562
00:32:01,809 --> 00:32:02,529
systems.
563
00:32:02,930 --> 00:32:08,305
If you're reducing the negative impact of
stress mitochondria, you should have systemic
564
00:32:08,305 --> 00:32:09,025
benefits.
565
00:32:09,025 --> 00:32:11,904
You should have what we have, which are head to
toe testimonials.
566
00:32:14,625 --> 00:32:16,865
Blood cells don't have mitochondria.
567
00:32:17,585 --> 00:32:20,865
I thought every cell in the human body had a
mitochondria.
568
00:32:20,865 --> 00:32:21,744
Not blood cells.
569
00:32:23,329 --> 00:32:27,649
I feel like my education has been I'll tell
you.
570
00:32:27,570 --> 00:32:28,369
Compromised.
571
00:32:28,769 --> 00:32:33,970
The the research on mitochondria, like, we we
feel like there's so many systems in our body,
572
00:32:33,970 --> 00:32:35,970
right, that that that we kind of feel like we
know.
573
00:32:36,595 --> 00:32:38,355
I actually heard I forget what book.
574
00:32:38,355 --> 00:32:39,954
I'm always listening to health books.
575
00:32:40,115 --> 00:32:46,034
And there is this kind of principle, a two body
principle, which is if you have this is in in
576
00:32:46,034 --> 00:32:46,674
in space.
577
00:32:46,674 --> 00:32:46,835
Right?
578
00:32:46,835 --> 00:32:51,170
So you have the sun and the Earth, and we can
predict what happens with the sun and the As
579
00:32:51,170 --> 00:32:56,929
soon as we add a third body, our ability to
predict is dramatically ruined.
580
00:32:57,009 --> 00:32:57,250
Right?
581
00:32:57,250 --> 00:33:01,329
Like, we really can't predict the exact space
of these because of the way they interact.
582
00:33:01,410 --> 00:33:02,690
That's only with three.
583
00:33:02,849 --> 00:33:08,654
Think about how many systems are interacting
with each other in our body, right, so our
584
00:33:08,654 --> 00:33:09,855
ability to understand these.
585
00:33:09,855 --> 00:33:15,774
So when I was doing research for the book on
mitochondria, I found multiple places that say,
586
00:33:15,855 --> 00:33:20,569
okay, the rods and cones in our eyes have an
increased amount of mitochondria.
587
00:33:20,569 --> 00:33:21,289
We use it.
588
00:33:21,289 --> 00:33:22,089
It takes energy.
589
00:33:22,089 --> 00:33:22,650
There's photon.
590
00:33:22,650 --> 00:33:23,690
Like, this kind of makes sense.
591
00:33:23,690 --> 00:33:24,089
Like, hey.
592
00:33:24,089 --> 00:33:25,529
It's more than a heart cell.
593
00:33:25,929 --> 00:33:26,329
Mhmm.
594
00:33:26,329 --> 00:33:26,889
Right?
595
00:33:26,890 --> 00:33:29,450
And so but I couldn't find the number.
596
00:33:29,769 --> 00:33:34,335
Like, digging in, rolling up my sleeves, and
finding the research, yes, they we all know,
597
00:33:34,335 --> 00:33:39,295
like collectively, the scientific community
knows, there are more mitochondria in the rods
598
00:33:39,295 --> 00:33:41,775
and cones in your eyes, but there was no
number.
599
00:33:42,255 --> 00:33:42,815
Right?
600
00:33:42,815 --> 00:33:45,855
This is kind of how new this this arena is.
601
00:33:46,015 --> 00:33:50,899
And, yeah, to to not know that, you know, your
blood cells don't have any like, I honestly, I
602
00:33:50,899 --> 00:33:54,019
I didn't know until I started kind of piecing
together this theory.
603
00:33:55,299 --> 00:33:55,859
Wow.
604
00:33:55,859 --> 00:33:56,259
Okay.
605
00:33:56,259 --> 00:34:02,579
So, yes, let's move on to menopause because I
know you have a very specific menopause
606
00:34:02,015 --> 00:34:02,894
product.
607
00:34:03,375 --> 00:34:12,094
And let's talk about how this this ES s 60
molecule relates to menopause, which is kind of
608
00:34:12,094 --> 00:34:13,215
the topic of the moment.
609
00:34:13,215 --> 00:34:13,614
Right?
610
00:34:13,614 --> 00:34:13,934
Yeah.
611
00:34:14,250 --> 00:34:15,210
Well, yeah.
612
00:34:15,210 --> 00:34:19,449
And I on my podcast, if you had told me when I
started my podcast, I would, you know, have
613
00:34:19,449 --> 00:34:22,730
done 10 menopause conversations, it's and it
may even be more.
614
00:34:22,809 --> 00:34:23,769
I probably would have said, yeah.
615
00:34:23,769 --> 00:34:25,050
I don't know that that's gonna happen.
616
00:34:25,050 --> 00:34:25,530
Sure enough.
617
00:34:25,530 --> 00:34:25,929
It has.
618
00:34:25,929 --> 00:34:31,704
And it's a very interesting topic, I think,
women obviously want to understand it because
619
00:34:31,704 --> 00:34:33,304
it's something that directly affects them.
620
00:34:33,304 --> 00:34:40,424
And I think men should understand it because
usually it adjacently affects them, to to a
621
00:34:40,424 --> 00:34:40,824
great degree.
622
00:34:41,139 --> 00:34:42,980
And and by the way, so we have this bottle.
623
00:34:42,980 --> 00:34:44,900
It says menopause support on it.
624
00:34:45,059 --> 00:34:47,859
My wife made me make this label.
625
00:34:47,859 --> 00:34:53,139
This label is really on the same regular
product, which is a high quality extra virgin
626
00:34:53,139 --> 00:34:53,619
olive oil.
627
00:34:53,619 --> 00:34:59,574
So this is this is our our our product is two
natural ingredients, a high quality extra
628
00:34:59,574 --> 00:35:03,815
virgin olive oil and as much of that ES60
molecule as we can get to dissolve in it.
629
00:35:03,815 --> 00:35:09,335
And then my wife said, you need to put
menopause support on that same bottle because
630
00:35:09,335 --> 00:35:15,450
she went through early onset menopause and this
had a dramatic impact on her symptoms.
631
00:35:15,450 --> 00:35:19,849
In fact, one of the clinical trials that we're
going to start is on frequent and severe
632
00:35:19,849 --> 00:35:22,970
headaches, and she was getting nine per month.
633
00:35:23,289 --> 00:35:24,650
Well, nine plus.
634
00:35:24,570 --> 00:35:29,105
I remember the number nine the medication she
was taking, they would only give her nine and
635
00:35:29,264 --> 00:35:33,264
so she would have to suffer through, like, the
other four she would get.
636
00:35:33,264 --> 00:35:34,625
She was getting about 13.
637
00:35:35,025 --> 00:35:38,545
I am actually the geeky guy that you see in
front of you.
638
00:35:38,545 --> 00:35:44,110
I have a spreadsheet back to 2014 tracking my
four to five severe headaches.
639
00:35:44,110 --> 00:35:46,910
I have to be very careful about the terminology
that I have.
640
00:35:47,150 --> 00:35:55,469
These are the kind of headaches that would make
me go to a cold, dark, silent room just to
641
00:35:55,469 --> 00:35:56,269
recover from these.
642
00:35:56,269 --> 00:35:56,670
Right?
643
00:35:56,670 --> 00:36:01,815
So I was tracking my four to five per year
mostly because I'm trying to figure out, like,
644
00:36:01,815 --> 00:36:05,175
what's causing them, I I I don't ever wanna
experience it again.
645
00:36:05,574 --> 00:36:12,480
When I started taking this formula in 2018, I
went eighteen months without a single severe
646
00:36:12,480 --> 00:36:13,199
headache.
647
00:36:14,000 --> 00:36:21,360
Ironically, I went off the product to join our
sleep study, and when I did that, I got my
648
00:36:21,360 --> 00:36:23,280
first severe headache in a very long time.
649
00:36:25,175 --> 00:36:30,855
So I should have had, at this point, six or
seven of them, and just had my first one.
650
00:36:30,855 --> 00:36:32,535
I'm always transparent.
651
00:36:32,614 --> 00:36:34,855
I do get one or two per year.
652
00:36:34,855 --> 00:36:37,655
They usually start with an aura in my
peripheral vision.
653
00:36:37,655 --> 00:36:39,449
I don't know if you've had these types of
headaches.
654
00:36:39,449 --> 00:36:40,010
Mhmm.
655
00:36:40,329 --> 00:36:45,849
And then a sliver of my vision will look like a
kaleidoscope, go into the middle of my vision,
656
00:36:45,849 --> 00:36:46,969
and then go away.
657
00:36:46,969 --> 00:36:48,410
I can work through them now.
658
00:36:48,570 --> 00:36:48,809
Right?
659
00:36:48,809 --> 00:36:52,650
Like, literally now I don't know if you've ever
tried to read through a kaleidoscope.
660
00:36:52,650 --> 00:36:53,369
It's not easy.
661
00:36:53,724 --> 00:37:03,324
Anytime I've tried it, it's too painful, but I
don't have to go to the cold, dark, quiet room.
662
00:37:03,565 --> 00:37:05,964
I just go through it.
663
00:37:05,964 --> 00:37:07,324
It takes about fifteen minutes.
664
00:37:07,324 --> 00:37:11,800
So that's a dramatic impact, and that's one of
the impacts for my wife.
665
00:37:11,800 --> 00:37:18,760
She went from this nine plus per month down to
one or two every other month, so a dramatic
666
00:37:18,760 --> 00:37:19,000
impact.
667
00:37:20,945 --> 00:37:22,224
And why might that be?
668
00:37:22,224 --> 00:37:23,744
So there's a couple things going on.
669
00:37:23,744 --> 00:37:29,505
So one is people you know, I get on podcasts
and we're like, well, might this help with the
670
00:37:29,505 --> 00:37:29,905
liver?
671
00:37:29,905 --> 00:37:34,864
Well, first off, there's a particular piece of
the study that talks about the liver.
672
00:37:34,864 --> 00:37:40,400
So in that original study where the rats live
90% longer than the control group, they had a
673
00:37:40,400 --> 00:37:45,840
separate set of rats, and the rats were these
small group of rats were given water as a
674
00:37:45,840 --> 00:37:50,480
control group, olive oil, as a semi controlled
group, and then olive oil with ESS sixty.
675
00:37:50,804 --> 00:37:53,444
They injected these rats with carbon
tetrachloride.
676
00:37:53,444 --> 00:37:59,045
Now this is an oxidative agent, that causes
stress to the liver, oxidative stress to the
677
00:37:59,045 --> 00:37:59,525
liver.
678
00:37:59,925 --> 00:38:05,179
Twenty four hours after the injection, they
euthanized the the rats and looked at their
679
00:38:05,179 --> 00:38:05,820
livers.
680
00:38:05,900 --> 00:38:10,059
The livers of the water rats had no recovery
because that's normally what happens.
681
00:38:10,059 --> 00:38:12,460
The olive rats had a little bit of recovery.
682
00:38:12,460 --> 00:38:17,019
By the way, olive oil whatever olive oil you're
consuming, you probably should be consuming
683
00:38:17,019 --> 00:38:17,339
more.
684
00:38:17,339 --> 00:38:18,699
It is incredibly healthy for you.
685
00:38:19,574 --> 00:38:23,494
But the olive oil with the ESS 60, they almost
completely recovered.
686
00:38:23,494 --> 00:38:23,894
Right?
687
00:38:23,894 --> 00:38:25,574
So that's in the liver.
688
00:38:25,974 --> 00:38:31,175
But when people are like, oh, liver or kidney
or whatever, I just ask the question, is there
689
00:38:31,175 --> 00:38:32,695
mitochondria there?
690
00:38:32,695 --> 00:38:35,880
And the answer is always yes, unless it's
blood.
691
00:38:37,000 --> 00:38:42,920
So will reducing the negative impact of stress
mitochondria have a positive impact there?
692
00:38:43,159 --> 00:38:44,119
And the answer is yes.
693
00:38:44,280 --> 00:38:49,255
Also, mitochondria are responsible for the
production of pregnalone, which is the
694
00:38:49,255 --> 00:38:55,894
precursor to all of the sex well, to the key
sex hormones like estrogen and testosterone.
695
00:38:57,014 --> 00:39:02,454
So, you know, to have more efficient production
from the mitochondria is gonna be good for you
696
00:39:02,454 --> 00:39:02,934
overall.
697
00:39:05,309 --> 00:39:12,030
So if your product only has two ingredients,
the olive oil and the molecule, why is it
698
00:39:12,030 --> 00:39:13,390
called MyVital C?
699
00:39:13,390 --> 00:39:14,989
There's no vitamin C in it.
700
00:39:14,989 --> 00:39:16,349
That's a great question.
701
00:39:16,510 --> 00:39:20,605
When I came up with the name, I thought that
there might be potential.
702
00:39:20,605 --> 00:39:25,244
Nobody knew about the brand originally, and I
thought there might be some potential for
703
00:39:25,244 --> 00:39:26,045
confusion.
704
00:39:26,924 --> 00:39:31,484
And I was okay with it because there are zero
doubts that it's healthy.
705
00:39:31,969 --> 00:39:32,449
Right?
706
00:39:32,449 --> 00:39:37,489
So if you say, oh, that might be vitamin c, you
don't have any doubts that it's healthy.
707
00:39:37,489 --> 00:39:39,730
And by the way, the c is for carbon.
708
00:39:40,849 --> 00:39:43,489
Ah, c for carbon, not vitamin c?
709
00:39:43,489 --> 00:39:43,889
Yes.
710
00:39:44,694 --> 00:39:53,094
Ah, so just FYI, I did have, a pretty big fight
during the pandemic about the benefits of
711
00:39:53,094 --> 00:39:57,414
vitamin C with some people in the medical
community who were telling me that it was not
712
00:39:57,414 --> 00:39:59,880
proven that vitamin C was healthy.
713
00:40:00,039 --> 00:40:03,079
So I don't know if everyone thinks vitamin C is
healthy.
714
00:40:03,079 --> 00:40:06,440
I certainly do, and I think Landis Pauling was
an amazing person.
715
00:40:06,760 --> 00:40:11,719
But but I don't know if it's universal in the
in the medical community.
716
00:40:12,234 --> 00:40:18,875
Well, I think my understanding is that it is,
but when you start talking about Linus Pauling,
717
00:40:18,875 --> 00:40:25,114
you're talking about massive doses of vitamin
c, and that can have some detrimental impacts
718
00:40:25,114 --> 00:40:25,835
in some cases.
719
00:40:25,835 --> 00:40:31,549
So for instance, if you're undergoing
chemotherapy, massive doses of antioxidants can
720
00:40:31,549 --> 00:40:34,269
actually interfere with the the chemotherapy.
721
00:40:34,349 --> 00:40:35,949
Now you're like, wait a minute.
722
00:40:35,949 --> 00:40:38,909
This this ES60 molecule is an antioxidant.
723
00:40:39,069 --> 00:40:45,514
It's a selective antioxidant, meaning it
attaches to the negatively charged particles.
724
00:40:45,514 --> 00:40:49,355
So out of these mitochondria, you have these
reactive oxygen species, but you have
725
00:40:49,355 --> 00:40:53,195
positively charged ones and negatively charged
reactive oxygen species.
726
00:40:53,799 --> 00:40:59,719
It turns out the positively charged reactive
oxygen species are good and important for
727
00:40:59,719 --> 00:41:02,599
signaling and don't do much damage.
728
00:41:02,920 --> 00:41:07,799
The negatively charged ones are not necessary
for signaling and do the damage.
729
00:41:08,135 --> 00:41:12,775
And so because we're a selective antioxidant
grabbing onto the negatively charged reactive
730
00:41:12,775 --> 00:41:20,295
oxygen species, we don't have the interference
pattern that classic antioxidants do, but we
731
00:41:20,295 --> 00:41:20,934
have the benefit.
732
00:41:22,809 --> 00:41:23,369
Okay.
733
00:41:24,730 --> 00:41:25,369
Great.
734
00:41:25,369 --> 00:41:31,690
So how long has ESS sixty been available for
regular people to consume?
735
00:41:31,929 --> 00:41:36,809
I would say, I mean, there were some companies
that were smarter than us and started selling
736
00:41:36,809 --> 00:41:40,845
this product, you know, as early as 2013.
737
00:41:41,644 --> 00:41:44,525
In fact, one of them, we ended up buying that
company.
738
00:41:45,244 --> 00:41:49,164
He wanted to kind of exit out and, kind of
interestingly go work in a gold mine.
739
00:41:49,164 --> 00:41:51,910
He bought a gold mine, and now we're working in
a gold mine.
740
00:41:51,910 --> 00:41:55,430
We get when we when we bought the company from
him, we were like, we will buy the company from
741
00:41:55,430 --> 00:41:59,110
you, but we want to come visit your gold mine
because I'd never been to a gold mine.
742
00:41:59,110 --> 00:42:01,270
So that was kind of a cool experiment.
743
00:42:01,590 --> 00:42:05,875
We started really bringing this to the market
in 2018.
744
00:42:05,875 --> 00:42:11,234
So it was really biohackers, cutting edge
biohackers, that biohacking community,
745
00:42:11,635 --> 00:42:14,835
longevity community that were driving the
industry early.
746
00:42:15,155 --> 00:42:19,890
And then now, you as the oldest and longest
manufacturer and distributor of the molecule on
747
00:42:19,890 --> 00:42:26,769
the planet, it's really kind of kind of fallen
upon me, to continue to expand the awareness of
748
00:42:26,769 --> 00:42:29,329
of this molecule to to the general population.
749
00:42:30,815 --> 00:42:36,175
What have you heard anecdotally from the
biohacking community who've been using this?
750
00:42:36,335 --> 00:42:38,014
Well, I'll tell you this.
751
00:42:38,974 --> 00:42:45,859
I'll fold it into this because, a lot of people
wonder, like, what how long might it take me to
752
00:42:45,859 --> 00:42:47,859
experience something, on the product?
753
00:42:48,179 --> 00:42:54,019
And we think of it in terms of, like, a three
month time frame, where month one is focus and
754
00:42:54,019 --> 00:42:54,339
energy.
755
00:42:54,339 --> 00:42:58,324
It has parallels with our most consistent
testimonial of taking it in the morning, mental
756
00:42:58,324 --> 00:43:01,204
focus and energy during the day, and then
better sleep that night.
757
00:43:01,684 --> 00:43:03,525
So month one is focus and energy.
758
00:43:03,925 --> 00:43:09,125
And, we really kind of land on focus and energy
because, well, one, because we experience it.
759
00:43:09,125 --> 00:43:10,405
But two, I got this testimony.
760
00:43:10,405 --> 00:43:11,844
I got some product to an influencer.
761
00:43:12,200 --> 00:43:16,519
She took the product in the morning, sent in
her video that evening, and in the video, she
762
00:43:16,519 --> 00:43:19,000
pointed out that she didn't finish her cup of
coffee.
763
00:43:19,240 --> 00:43:21,160
Now I don't know if you're a coffee drinker.
764
00:43:21,160 --> 00:43:24,440
I used to be a two to three cup of day of
coffee per day person.
765
00:43:24,785 --> 00:43:25,744
Now I'm down to one.
766
00:43:25,744 --> 00:43:27,505
It's more about the ritual, the smell.
767
00:43:27,505 --> 00:43:31,025
I went down the coffee aisle at the grocery
store, I was like, this is the most amazing
768
00:43:31,025 --> 00:43:31,664
smell.
769
00:43:31,664 --> 00:43:33,265
Like, just the coffee aisle.
770
00:43:33,985 --> 00:43:35,905
So it's more about the ritual for me.
771
00:43:35,985 --> 00:43:40,369
An important piece, like, if you notice you
didn't finish your cup of coffee, what that
772
00:43:40,369 --> 00:43:44,449
means is you always finish your cup of coffee,
and so she didn't finish.
773
00:43:44,449 --> 00:43:46,289
So focus and energy is month one.
774
00:43:46,849 --> 00:43:50,450
Month two is we we really kind of say is deep
sleep.
775
00:43:51,010 --> 00:43:56,094
I do believe better sleep is happening in one
month one and supporting that focus and energy.
776
00:43:56,414 --> 00:44:00,175
But the reality is everybody gets a little bit
more or less sleep every day.
777
00:44:00,175 --> 00:44:00,414
Right?
778
00:44:00,414 --> 00:44:03,375
So an extra hour here, an hour less there.
779
00:44:03,454 --> 00:44:08,590
And so it can be really hard to go, oh, when I
started taking my Vital C, it all collectively
780
00:44:08,590 --> 00:44:09,230
got better.
781
00:44:09,230 --> 00:44:13,309
Because I've been taking it for years now, I
still get a little bit more sleep some nights,
782
00:44:13,309 --> 00:44:15,230
a little bit less sleep other nights.
783
00:44:16,269 --> 00:44:18,670
I will share my business coach put it this way.
784
00:44:18,750 --> 00:44:21,150
For fifty years, he needed an alarm clock.
785
00:44:21,150 --> 00:44:24,644
When he started taking this product, he wakes
up before the alarm clock.
786
00:44:24,885 --> 00:44:27,924
Now he's a business coach, so there's late
night mixers.
787
00:44:27,924 --> 00:44:29,445
There's late night dinners.
788
00:44:29,525 --> 00:44:34,210
None of that matters, except if he doesn't get
the product for about ten days, then he starts
789
00:44:34,210 --> 00:44:35,329
to need the alarm clock.
790
00:44:35,329 --> 00:44:40,289
And that coincides with the data where we
believe this molecule and the data shows this
791
00:44:40,289 --> 00:44:42,930
molecule is clearing out of your system in
about ten days.
792
00:44:42,930 --> 00:44:44,289
So that's also good to know.
793
00:44:45,735 --> 00:44:50,614
And then finally, on month three, if you think
about reducing the negative impact of stress
794
00:44:50,614 --> 00:44:56,695
mitochondria, the systemic benefits, really we
have testimonials so powerful in month three
795
00:44:56,695 --> 00:44:59,894
that we have to do research in order to be able
to talk about them.
796
00:45:00,210 --> 00:45:03,250
And that's what's driving our four clinical
trials.
797
00:45:03,250 --> 00:45:06,050
So I've already mentioned one, frequent and
severe headaches.
798
00:45:06,050 --> 00:45:07,650
That's already up and running.
799
00:45:07,889 --> 00:45:10,050
The next one is HSCRP.
800
00:45:10,210 --> 00:45:13,010
That stands for high sensitivity c reactive
protein.
801
00:45:13,715 --> 00:45:17,474
It's an inflammatory, so we've to be careful
talking about inflammation, right, with the
802
00:45:17,474 --> 00:45:17,795
FDA?
803
00:45:17,795 --> 00:45:18,275
Right.
804
00:45:18,434 --> 00:45:21,074
And I'm sure you know about AHS ERP.
805
00:45:21,074 --> 00:45:25,074
It's an inflammatory marker typically
associated with cardiovascular disease and
806
00:45:25,074 --> 00:45:25,394
cancers.
807
00:45:26,049 --> 00:45:30,369
The reason that we're doing that particular
study is I had a conversation with a
808
00:45:30,369 --> 00:45:31,010
practitioner.
809
00:45:31,010 --> 00:45:34,130
He said in his patient pool he actually said
this.
810
00:45:34,130 --> 00:45:39,010
We were at A four ms in Las Vegas, the American
Academy of Anti Aging.
811
00:45:39,574 --> 00:45:42,534
And he shared this and was like, hey, Doctor.
812
00:45:42,534 --> 00:45:46,454
Young, I need you to say it again and record it
so I know what he said.
813
00:45:46,454 --> 00:45:49,815
He said, Chris, I don't care if you're male,
female, pre surgery, post surgery,
814
00:45:49,815 --> 00:45:55,650
cardiovascular disease or otherwise healthy,
your product is reducing elevated HSCRPs.
815
00:45:55,650 --> 00:46:00,769
And he gave the example of nine down to point
nine in four to eight weeks.
816
00:46:01,170 --> 00:46:03,329
Additionally and I'll talk about how severe
that is.
817
00:46:03,329 --> 00:46:04,130
You I'm sure you know.
818
00:46:05,105 --> 00:46:11,344
Additionally, we're seeing 20 to 60%
improvements in sleep and HRV when people are
819
00:46:11,344 --> 00:46:12,224
on the product.
820
00:46:12,864 --> 00:46:17,940
And he finished by saying, we just think it's
something we should have in the break room for
821
00:46:17,940 --> 00:46:19,139
all of the employees.
822
00:46:19,139 --> 00:46:20,500
That's pretty powerful.
823
00:46:20,659 --> 00:46:25,139
By the way, HSCRP of nine, I had a conversation
with an oncologist after that and he said if
824
00:46:25,139 --> 00:46:29,940
you have an HSCRP of nine, we assume you have
cancer until we prove otherwise.
825
00:46:30,019 --> 00:46:33,914
So to take that down to 0.9 is pretty
impressive.
826
00:46:33,914 --> 00:46:35,755
So we're doing a HSCRP study.
827
00:46:35,994 --> 00:46:38,235
We're doing a more formalized sleep study.
828
00:46:38,235 --> 00:46:41,914
So we already actually have two small sleep
studies under our belt.
829
00:46:43,275 --> 00:46:48,489
They are small cohorts, but the most important
part of those studies is one hundred percent of
830
00:46:48,489 --> 00:46:52,329
participants reported improvements in sleep
when they were on the product.
831
00:46:52,329 --> 00:46:56,329
So we just want a more formalized version so
that we'll have proper data that we can
832
00:46:56,329 --> 00:46:58,089
actually write a paper about.
833
00:46:58,944 --> 00:47:01,824
And then finally, we do have a two part
cosmetic.
834
00:47:01,824 --> 00:47:04,784
I never really wanted to be in the supplement
industry.
835
00:47:04,784 --> 00:47:05,905
I think I shared that.
836
00:47:05,905 --> 00:47:09,664
And when one of our business partners was like,
We should do a cosmetic, I was like, Yay, that
837
00:47:09,664 --> 00:47:10,545
sounds amazing.
838
00:47:10,545 --> 00:47:11,905
I always wanted to do that.
839
00:47:12,309 --> 00:47:14,230
But we ended up creating a two part.
840
00:47:14,230 --> 00:47:19,670
So this is a peptide called UTH29, which stands
for youth twenty nine.
841
00:47:20,549 --> 00:47:24,230
So it's a peptide and then their ESS60
activator.
842
00:47:24,230 --> 00:47:29,515
Now they're two containers and the reason they
are is because the peptide is water soluble,
843
00:47:29,515 --> 00:47:32,235
the ESS-sixty molecule is oil soluble.
844
00:47:32,315 --> 00:47:36,555
We could have shoved these two together with an
emulsifier, but I don't like how an emulsifier
845
00:47:36,555 --> 00:47:37,114
sounds.
846
00:47:37,114 --> 00:47:38,954
There are no health benefits of emulsifiers.
847
00:47:38,954 --> 00:47:42,849
You want to use as few as possible, so we kept
them separate.
848
00:47:42,929 --> 00:47:47,170
We're getting such amazing testimonials about
this ReDuo set.
849
00:47:47,650 --> 00:47:52,610
By the way, each molecule well, the UTH29
molecule has thirty years of skin and hair
850
00:47:52,610 --> 00:47:54,530
improvements in peer reviewed published
research.
851
00:47:55,265 --> 00:48:00,065
The ASS 60 molecule has some good research out
of Japan, showing improvements in skin and
852
00:48:00,065 --> 00:48:00,545
hair.
853
00:48:00,545 --> 00:48:05,585
So based on that and the testimonials, we're
doing a wrinkle and age spot study.
854
00:48:05,664 --> 00:48:09,265
Those are the four trials that we're, we should
be starting before the end of the year.
855
00:48:10,550 --> 00:48:14,390
Have you come across any contraindications, any
signs of toxicity?
856
00:48:14,469 --> 00:48:16,150
That's that's a great question.
857
00:48:16,309 --> 00:48:20,230
You know, first people ask about medications
and they'll ask about other supplements.
858
00:48:20,230 --> 00:48:25,045
There is no research that I'm aware of and no
even kind of people coming back to us and
859
00:48:25,045 --> 00:48:28,325
sharing anything that there's some
contraindications.
860
00:48:28,485 --> 00:48:34,724
When it comes to potential toxicity, really,
believe that it's associated with the same
861
00:48:34,724 --> 00:48:38,219
toxicity of olive oil, which I kind of joke
involves drowning.
862
00:48:39,019 --> 00:48:41,260
Like like, I mean, here's the reality.
863
00:48:41,420 --> 00:48:44,699
If you consume enough olive oil, you're bot
you'll just throw it up.
864
00:48:44,860 --> 00:48:45,260
Right?
865
00:48:45,260 --> 00:48:46,699
It actually isn't gonna do damage.
866
00:48:46,699 --> 00:48:51,105
I don't even know if that counts as toxicity
because it's not you know, like, water is more
867
00:48:51,105 --> 00:48:51,744
dangerous.
868
00:48:51,744 --> 00:48:56,704
Like, if you drink water fast enough, enough
water fast enough, you can cause hyperhidrosis
869
00:48:56,704 --> 00:48:57,585
and die.
870
00:48:57,985 --> 00:49:03,025
Olive oil would just start throwing it up, as
unpleasant as that would be, is is not.
871
00:49:03,025 --> 00:49:03,905
Now there is another.
872
00:49:04,579 --> 00:49:09,699
The typical serving is one teaspoon of this
high quality extra virgin olive oil and as much
873
00:49:09,699 --> 00:49:12,659
of that ESS 60 molecule as we can get to
dissolve in it.
874
00:49:12,900 --> 00:49:17,380
By the way, it is a high quality extra virgin
olive oil, so it will leave a peppery flavor at
875
00:49:17,380 --> 00:49:18,340
the back of your throat.
876
00:49:18,340 --> 00:49:21,505
That's a sign that it's a high quality olive
oil.
877
00:49:21,585 --> 00:49:26,385
If you're not used to consuming oil and you add
a teaspoon, you might get some loose stool for
878
00:49:26,385 --> 00:49:26,945
a while.
879
00:49:27,344 --> 00:49:31,105
You know, Dave Asprey calls has a thing called
disaster pants.
880
00:49:31,480 --> 00:49:33,640
That is that is not what's happening.
881
00:49:35,640 --> 00:49:40,039
It is just a a little bit of loose stool for a
day or two, and then your system gets
882
00:49:40,039 --> 00:49:41,640
acclimated to it.
883
00:49:42,840 --> 00:49:44,199
So how do you take it?
884
00:49:44,199 --> 00:49:47,885
Do you take a teaspoonful just plain?
885
00:49:48,125 --> 00:49:48,925
Yes.
886
00:49:49,085 --> 00:49:49,565
I do.
887
00:49:49,565 --> 00:49:54,844
We if you really don't like the taste of olive
oil, we do have gel caps.
888
00:49:55,005 --> 00:49:57,565
Remember, a teaspoon is quite a bit of oil.
889
00:49:57,565 --> 00:49:57,804
Right?
890
00:49:57,804 --> 00:49:59,085
It's not it's not a large amount.
891
00:49:59,085 --> 00:50:00,204
It's not a small amount.
892
00:50:00,204 --> 00:50:03,780
So in terms of gel caps, they're not huge gel
caps.
893
00:50:03,780 --> 00:50:04,900
They're not tiny gel caps.
894
00:50:04,900 --> 00:50:07,619
So it takes about six to get to one teaspoon.
895
00:50:08,099 --> 00:50:11,460
And so that's like three we recommend that you
take three in the morning, three in the
896
00:50:11,460 --> 00:50:11,780
afternoon.
897
00:50:11,780 --> 00:50:15,875
Know, a lot of biohackers like another six
doesn't even doesn't even faze me.
898
00:50:16,114 --> 00:50:17,074
I like the taste.
899
00:50:17,074 --> 00:50:19,875
I've grown to like love the taste of olive oil.
900
00:50:20,594 --> 00:50:24,755
And if you take it and you don't really like
it, I mean, you could drizzle it on bread or
901
00:50:24,755 --> 00:50:28,079
anything else and a sip of water and it's gone.
902
00:50:28,079 --> 00:50:28,319
Right?
903
00:50:28,319 --> 00:50:32,880
It's just it's not a a sticky flavor that
you're like, oh, I don't like it, now I'm
904
00:50:32,880 --> 00:50:35,679
burping it up for the next day or whatever.
905
00:50:35,679 --> 00:50:36,239
No.
906
00:50:36,239 --> 00:50:38,159
It's it's pretty easy to manage.
907
00:50:38,239 --> 00:50:40,400
Not quite like a fish oil.
908
00:50:40,480 --> 00:50:40,880
Correct.
909
00:50:42,375 --> 00:50:44,855
You can feel a fish oil a while later.
910
00:50:44,855 --> 00:50:45,335
Yeah.
911
00:50:45,414 --> 00:50:48,295
And taste it and burp it and all of those
things.
912
00:50:48,295 --> 00:50:48,614
Yes.
913
00:50:48,614 --> 00:50:49,175
Yep.
914
00:50:49,574 --> 00:50:53,015
It is one of my least favorite flavors, I have
to say.
915
00:50:53,175 --> 00:50:53,414
Yes.
916
00:50:54,199 --> 00:50:57,880
Maybe rather eat a sardine than take a teaspoon
of fish oil.
917
00:50:57,880 --> 00:50:58,599
Very much so.
918
00:50:58,599 --> 00:51:00,280
I'd much rather eat a sardine.
919
00:51:00,440 --> 00:51:00,759
Yeah.
920
00:51:00,759 --> 00:51:04,440
So what have we not talked about that you wanna
make sure people know?
921
00:51:05,400 --> 00:51:09,094
I think I think we've covered a a whole lot of
stuff here.
922
00:51:09,094 --> 00:51:11,175
It's, I'll put it this way.
923
00:51:11,175 --> 00:51:17,175
So I was fortunate that I I ended up running a
longevity summit called the, Unknown Secrets of
924
00:51:17,175 --> 00:51:22,639
Longevity Live Beyond the Norms and I got to
interview 55 experts in longevity including
925
00:51:22,639 --> 00:51:24,960
Dave Asprey, Ben Greenfield, Doctor.
926
00:51:24,960 --> 00:51:30,719
Stephen Gundry and I asked all of them what are
some tips or tricks, right?
927
00:51:31,734 --> 00:51:34,375
And and then I can pile the information.
928
00:51:34,775 --> 00:51:36,214
And this all boils down.
929
00:51:36,214 --> 00:51:40,054
Like, you were to ask me now as an expert in
longevity, what should I focus on?
930
00:51:40,135 --> 00:51:41,734
I'm not sure it would be our product.
931
00:51:41,734 --> 00:51:41,974
Right?
932
00:51:41,974 --> 00:51:48,559
I think it would be sleep, nutrition, movement,
and all of this takes mindset.
933
00:51:48,559 --> 00:51:53,119
Like, I I I it took me a while to piece this
together, but the most important thing is your
934
00:51:53,119 --> 00:51:55,599
mindset, and you gotta figure out how to work
on your mindset.
935
00:51:55,599 --> 00:52:00,625
Because if you know, you need to put your
device down so you're not doom scrolling before
936
00:52:00,625 --> 00:52:04,945
you go to sleep and you don't have the mindset
to make that change, it's not gonna happen.
937
00:52:04,945 --> 00:52:08,625
If you know you need to put the Twinkie down
and you don't have the mindset to make that
938
00:52:08,625 --> 00:52:10,065
change, it's not gonna happen.
939
00:52:10,305 --> 00:52:15,489
If you know you need to move more or move at
all, alright, or move more vigorously.
940
00:52:15,489 --> 00:52:18,849
I actually love the statement, movement is
life.
941
00:52:19,329 --> 00:52:21,250
Tough movement is freedom.
942
00:52:21,569 --> 00:52:21,969
Right?
943
00:52:21,969 --> 00:52:25,090
So the tougher you're moving, the more freedom
you will have.
944
00:52:25,969 --> 00:52:30,954
If you know you need to do that and you don't
have the mindset to do that, then it's not it's
945
00:52:30,954 --> 00:52:31,914
not gonna change.
946
00:52:31,994 --> 00:52:38,954
And I will add with our product and the boss
theory, the implications on the mitochondria
947
00:52:38,954 --> 00:52:44,480
and the fact that you have 2,000,000
mitochondria in every brain cell, I think it
948
00:52:44,480 --> 00:52:48,559
can have a positive impact helping you to get
your mindset right.
949
00:52:48,559 --> 00:52:51,039
And we have there's one testimonial that I
love.
950
00:52:51,679 --> 00:52:54,079
I got some product to a lady in The UK.
951
00:52:54,079 --> 00:52:58,304
She sent in her video, and in the beginning of
the video, she shared that she was in the
952
00:52:58,304 --> 00:52:59,744
middle of quitting smoking.
953
00:53:00,065 --> 00:53:00,945
Now I don't know.
954
00:53:00,945 --> 00:53:04,784
My parents smoked when I grew up, and they quit
smoking many times.
955
00:53:04,784 --> 00:53:07,744
It sound you're nodding, so maybe that you had
this similar experience.
956
00:53:07,744 --> 00:53:09,505
It was never pleasant.
957
00:53:09,505 --> 00:53:13,449
Like, them quitting, like, quitting quitting
addiction is not an a pleasant affair.
958
00:53:13,530 --> 00:53:15,369
So I thought this video was gonna be horrible.
959
00:53:15,369 --> 00:53:19,530
She actually went on to give a good video, and
she said something that I'll never forget.
960
00:53:19,609 --> 00:53:24,329
She said she found herself having a longer fuse
with her toddler.
961
00:53:24,889 --> 00:53:29,514
Now I don't know if you've been around kids,
toddlers, maybe adults who act like toddlers.
962
00:53:29,914 --> 00:53:31,755
Some days you have longer fuse.
963
00:53:31,755 --> 00:53:33,194
Some days you have shorter fuse.
964
00:53:33,194 --> 00:53:37,434
She found she had a longer fuse with her
toddler, and I think that can speak to helping
965
00:53:37,434 --> 00:53:38,635
helping that mindset.
966
00:53:40,359 --> 00:53:46,599
That's a great, testimonial to hear because,
certainly, our patience is something that is
967
00:53:46,599 --> 00:53:49,800
running thin in this world and Oh, yeah.
968
00:53:49,960 --> 00:53:51,640
And making everything worse.
969
00:53:51,800 --> 00:53:52,519
Yeah.
970
00:53:52,840 --> 00:53:53,400
For sure.
971
00:53:54,775 --> 00:54:00,534
So where can people find you and learn more
about my vital c and this whole ESS 60 molecule
972
00:54:00,534 --> 00:54:02,775
and everything that you're doing for longevity?
973
00:54:03,175 --> 00:54:06,454
So, we're we made a URL for your audience.
974
00:54:06,690 --> 00:54:07,089
Right?
975
00:54:07,089 --> 00:54:13,730
So they can go to
myvitalc.com/inflammationinvestigator, and let
976
00:54:13,730 --> 00:54:15,329
me walk you through what you'll find there.
977
00:54:15,329 --> 00:54:16,449
So there's some cool stuff.
978
00:54:16,449 --> 00:54:18,449
I mentioned, the longevity summit.
979
00:54:18,449 --> 00:54:21,155
I actually compiled 18 biohacking tips.
980
00:54:21,315 --> 00:54:24,034
So for free, they can download 18 biohacking
tips.
981
00:54:24,034 --> 00:54:25,554
We just need your name and your email.
982
00:54:25,554 --> 00:54:26,434
They can get those.
983
00:54:26,835 --> 00:54:30,994
There is a coupon code that's for $30 off of
things on this page.
984
00:54:30,994 --> 00:54:35,579
By the way, the deals they will find on that
page do not exist on the regular website.
985
00:54:35,579 --> 00:54:39,260
There's up to 40% discount, on that page.
986
00:54:39,900 --> 00:54:41,819
So get that grab that coupon code.
987
00:54:41,819 --> 00:54:43,420
It's another $30 off.
988
00:54:43,579 --> 00:54:46,539
As you go down, you'll see an offer of our
olive oil product.
989
00:54:46,539 --> 00:54:48,539
This is the consumable olive oil product.
990
00:54:48,539 --> 00:54:50,184
You can buy two, three, or six.
991
00:54:50,425 --> 00:54:52,505
The 40% discount is on six.
992
00:54:52,505 --> 00:54:55,465
The mindset there is it's a three month
experience.
993
00:54:55,704 --> 00:54:56,744
So you get these six.
994
00:54:56,744 --> 00:54:58,264
Maybe you keep three for yourself.
995
00:54:58,264 --> 00:55:02,869
Give three to somebody else who might need that
three month experience, or you could be selfish
996
00:55:02,869 --> 00:55:03,269
like me.
997
00:55:03,269 --> 00:55:04,309
I would keep all six.
998
00:55:04,550 --> 00:55:05,829
Feel free to do that.
999
00:55:06,309 --> 00:55:07,910
You can order these on subscription.
1000
00:55:07,910 --> 00:55:12,070
So two delivered every two months, three every
three months, six every six months.
1001
00:55:12,230 --> 00:55:16,964
You will save additional money for the
subscription on by by going on the
1002
00:55:16,964 --> 00:55:17,684
subscription.
1003
00:55:17,764 --> 00:55:21,765
Even if you just wanna try one set, go ahead
and save that money.
1004
00:55:22,244 --> 00:55:23,684
You can cancel at any time.
1005
00:55:23,684 --> 00:55:27,844
Our customer service team has a thousand five
star reviews on Google.
1006
00:55:28,210 --> 00:55:30,769
They are not trained to talk you out of
canceling your subscription.
1007
00:55:30,769 --> 00:55:33,730
They're trained to trained to help you, and
they do an amazing job.
1008
00:55:33,890 --> 00:55:36,930
It just turns out most people don't cancel
their subscription.
1009
00:55:37,570 --> 00:55:40,050
And then one piece that I'm super proud of.
1010
00:55:40,130 --> 00:55:44,704
So the book, Live Longer and Better, your
journey to living longer and better has never
1011
00:55:44,704 --> 00:55:50,625
been more achievable than today, available on
Amazon for 1995, also available at that link
1012
00:55:50,625 --> 00:55:51,985
for 1995.
1013
00:55:52,144 --> 00:55:54,864
For 10 extra dollars, I will autograph the
book.
1014
00:55:55,760 --> 00:56:00,880
100% of that $10 fee goes to Operation
Underground Railroad.
1015
00:56:01,119 --> 00:56:05,679
You may remember, an amazing movie called The
Sound of Freedom, an amazing movie about a
1016
00:56:05,679 --> 00:56:08,000
horrible topic, which is child exploitation.
1017
00:56:08,319 --> 00:56:12,454
Operation Underground Railroad is who that
movie is about, and they're doing a great job
1018
00:56:12,454 --> 00:56:14,934
of getting child exploitation off of our
planet.
1019
00:56:14,934 --> 00:56:16,215
Should have never been here.
1020
00:56:16,215 --> 00:56:20,135
So a 100% of that signature fee goes to
Operation Underground Railroad.
1021
00:56:23,094 --> 00:56:23,655
Wow.
1022
00:56:23,655 --> 00:56:24,135
Okay.
1023
00:56:24,135 --> 00:56:24,775
That's great.
1024
00:56:25,349 --> 00:56:31,430
I don't even know I wanna say what came into my
head when you started talking about that, but I
1025
00:56:31,430 --> 00:56:34,230
think that is awesome that you are supporting
this movement.
1026
00:56:34,230 --> 00:56:40,824
And, certainly, it is something that we have
recently in our world been aware of of how
1027
00:56:40,824 --> 00:56:49,784
extensive that that kind of exploitation really
is and, even by the people we might respect and
1028
00:56:49,784 --> 00:56:53,339
and rise up the most.
1029
00:56:53,339 --> 00:56:54,139
So Yeah.
1030
00:56:54,219 --> 00:56:55,579
Thank you for doing that.
1031
00:56:55,980 --> 00:56:56,219
Yeah.
1032
00:56:56,219 --> 00:56:59,500
Anything else that we can share before we wrap
this up?
1033
00:56:59,739 --> 00:57:05,339
You can you can find me on social media, so I'm
constantly posting kinda cool biohacking tips,
1034
00:57:05,339 --> 00:57:07,339
wellness tips, health tips.
1035
00:57:08,074 --> 00:57:09,355
So you can find that.
1036
00:57:09,355 --> 00:57:13,275
Just search for MyVitalC and on any of the
platforms.
1037
00:57:14,394 --> 00:57:14,795
Great.
1038
00:57:14,795 --> 00:57:22,234
So just for anyone who's wondering, it's m y v
I t a l and the letter c, MyVitalC.
1039
00:57:22,980 --> 00:57:25,300
Chris, thank you so much for coming on today.
1040
00:57:25,300 --> 00:57:26,099
I really appreciate it.
1041
00:57:26,099 --> 00:57:30,739
I think this was very interesting and very
scientific, much more scientific than we
1042
00:57:30,739 --> 00:57:35,699
normally get into on this podcast, but I
thought the science was fantastic and very
1043
00:57:35,699 --> 00:57:36,420
accessible.
1044
00:57:36,420 --> 00:57:37,780
So thank you for making it so.
1045
00:57:38,375 --> 00:57:39,494
Excellent, Elizabeth.
1046
00:57:39,494 --> 00:57:40,614
Thank you for having me.
1047
00:57:43,335 --> 00:57:48,614
And that's another case filed on the
inflammation investigator.
1048
00:57:49,574 --> 00:57:54,059
Remember, every symptom is your body's way of
communicating.
1049
00:57:54,539 --> 00:57:56,300
We just need to learn the language.
1050
00:57:57,180 --> 00:58:01,740
If today's episode sparked something for you, I
want to hear about it.
1051
00:58:02,140 --> 00:58:08,220
Share your own investigation discoveries with
me on social media at Elizabeth Yarnell or find
1052
00:58:08,220 --> 00:58:11,074

1053
00:58:11,714 --> 00:58:16,114
Your experience could be exactly what another
listener needs to hear.
1054
00:58:17,074 --> 00:58:20,514
And make sure you're subscribed so you never
miss an episode.
1055
00:58:21,130 --> 00:58:23,449
And here's the thing about investigations.
1056
00:58:24,010 --> 00:58:26,410
They work best when you're not going it alone.
1057
00:58:26,969 --> 00:58:32,969
If this podcast is helping you uncover the
answers you've been searching for, please like,
1058
00:58:33,094 --> 00:58:39,094
rate, subscribe, and review, and share it with
someone who needs to hear this message.
1059
00:58:39,974 --> 00:58:43,974
As a new podcast, these actions mean more than
you know.
1060
00:58:45,094 --> 00:58:49,369
Want to dive deeper into your own inflammation
investigation?
1061
00:58:50,090 --> 00:58:58,090
Head over to inflammationinvestigator.com where
you can take my free inflammation quiz to
1062
00:58:58,090 --> 00:59:03,125
uncover which hidden triggers might be
affecting your health.
1063
00:59:04,005 --> 00:59:11,125
Until next time, this is Elizabeth Yarnell,
your inflammation investigator, reminding you
1064
00:59:11,125 --> 00:59:14,842
that the solutions to your health issues are
out there.
1065
00:59:15,322 --> 00:59:16,603
Let's find them together.
00:00:02,720 --> 00:00:08,559
What if everything we've been told about
autoimmunity is wrong?
2
00:00:09,359 --> 00:00:11,279
I'm Elizabeth Yarnell.
3
00:00:11,439 --> 00:00:17,885
After awakening partially blind one morning in
1999, a doctor told me my multiple sclerosis
4
00:00:17,885 --> 00:00:21,484
would put me in a wheelchair within ten years.
5
00:00:22,524 --> 00:00:27,644
I refused to accept that as the end of the
story, so I started investigating.
6
00:00:28,730 --> 00:00:36,170
Welcome to The Inflammation Investigator, the
podcast that uncovers the inflammation lurking
7
00:00:36,170 --> 00:00:38,329
underneath your ailments.
8
00:00:39,289 --> 00:00:46,704
Because autoimmune and chronic conditions
should not be viewed as death knells when they
9
00:00:46,704 --> 00:00:49,344
are actually alarm bells.
10
00:00:50,625 --> 00:00:57,369
I'm a traditional naturopath and founder of the
Inflammation Academy, And in two episodes every
11
00:00:57,369 --> 00:01:01,689
week, we dig into what conventional medicine
might be missing.
12
00:01:02,570 --> 00:01:08,170
If you're living with chronic or unexplained
symptoms, this investigation is for you.
13
00:01:09,254 --> 00:01:12,215
Your body has been trying to tell you
something.
14
00:01:12,854 --> 00:01:14,215
Let's start listening.
15
00:01:21,109 --> 00:01:25,430
Hey, and welcome back to today's inflammation
investigator.
16
00:01:25,510 --> 00:01:30,950
Today, we're going to talk about mitochondria,
which if you don't know about mitochondria,
17
00:01:30,950 --> 00:01:37,915
they are the powerhouse, the storehouse, the
the batteries of our whole energy centers in
18
00:01:37,915 --> 00:01:38,635
our body.
19
00:01:38,635 --> 00:01:40,715
So super, super important.
20
00:01:41,034 --> 00:01:44,234
And it's going to relate to menopause too.
21
00:01:44,234 --> 00:01:52,480
We're going to talk about kind of really
different approaches to menopause and bringing
22
00:01:52,480 --> 00:01:55,760
your energy levels back to where they should
be.
23
00:01:56,079 --> 00:01:59,680
So let me introduce you to today's guest.
24
00:01:59,680 --> 00:02:02,079
It is Chris Burris.
25
00:02:02,240 --> 00:02:08,415
Chris Burris is a research engineer, founder,
and chief scientist of My Vital Sea.
26
00:02:08,895 --> 00:02:14,974
He's also the host of Live Beyond the Norms and
the author of Live Longer and Better.
27
00:02:15,294 --> 00:02:20,790
His primary mission is to help people live
longer, healthier, pain free lives, Drawing on
28
00:02:20,790 --> 00:02:27,030
a background in inventions, manufacturing, and
Internet technology, Chris has built his career
29
00:02:27,030 --> 00:02:31,430
around bringing scientific innovation into the
real world.
30
00:02:31,990 --> 00:02:41,574
Since the early nineteen nineties, he has been
producing e s s 60, a Nobel Prize winning
31
00:02:41,574 --> 00:02:47,574
molecule shown in studies to extend the
lifespan of test subjects by 90%.
32
00:02:48,599 --> 00:02:55,319
ESupplies research institutions worldwide years
and has been doing this for years before it
33
00:02:55,319 --> 00:02:58,040
became known in the biohacking space.
34
00:02:58,599 --> 00:03:07,574
So this is something that most people have not
had access to before now but has been used in
35
00:03:07,574 --> 00:03:09,094
the research community.
36
00:03:09,414 --> 00:03:11,655
So we're gonna talk to the source today.
37
00:03:11,655 --> 00:03:13,574
Chris, welcome to the podcast.
38
00:03:13,574 --> 00:03:15,495
Elizabeth, thank you so much for having me.
39
00:03:15,495 --> 00:03:16,294
I'm excited.
40
00:03:16,294 --> 00:03:21,490
One of the things that I love to do is to geek
out on the science about this molecule, and you
41
00:03:21,490 --> 00:03:23,169
give me the opportunity to do that.
42
00:03:23,169 --> 00:03:23,969
So thank you.
43
00:03:24,370 --> 00:03:25,250
Well, cool.
44
00:03:25,250 --> 00:03:26,129
I'm excited.
45
00:03:26,129 --> 00:03:30,610
So let's hope our listeners can follow along
and geek out on the science with us.
46
00:03:30,610 --> 00:03:36,495
We're gonna talk about the practical
applications of the science as well as the more
47
00:03:36,495 --> 00:03:38,814
scientific academic parts of it too.
48
00:03:38,814 --> 00:03:40,655
So lots coming up here.
49
00:03:40,655 --> 00:03:41,935
But, Chris, why don't we start off?
50
00:03:41,935 --> 00:03:43,215
Tell me how you got here.
51
00:03:43,534 --> 00:03:43,854
Yeah.
52
00:03:43,854 --> 00:03:47,439
Well, there's a so there'll be a lot of good
stories and a lot of fun analogies.
53
00:03:47,439 --> 00:03:51,840
I use one analogy that as it relates to
biology, that involves Mardi Gras.
54
00:03:51,840 --> 00:03:54,480
So we'll get to that at at some point, that
analogy.
55
00:03:54,480 --> 00:03:56,960
Most people haven't heard anything kind of like
that.
56
00:03:57,599 --> 00:04:02,924
The way I end so so many people end up in the
health and wellness space because they have a
57
00:04:02,924 --> 00:04:04,284
pain to passion story.
58
00:04:04,284 --> 00:04:08,364
And I'm a little envious of them because I
don't have that kind of beautiful story.
59
00:04:08,364 --> 00:04:12,364
I'm also not envious of them because at least I
don't have the pain piece of the pain to
60
00:04:12,364 --> 00:04:14,924
passion story, that's a good thing.
61
00:04:15,639 --> 00:04:21,000
The way I ended up here is I I knew I was gonna
be an entrepreneur from a very young age.
62
00:04:21,480 --> 00:04:27,080
And when I it came time to go to college, my
dad got my dad was in the air force, we moved
63
00:04:27,080 --> 00:04:32,855
every two years, and he got a second civilian
job in Houston as I was graduating from high
64
00:04:32,855 --> 00:04:33,095
school.
65
00:04:33,095 --> 00:04:37,894
So in my family, we knew we were going to
college, but we didn't have any plans for going
66
00:04:37,894 --> 00:04:38,294
to college.
67
00:04:38,294 --> 00:04:38,535
Right?
68
00:04:38,535 --> 00:04:41,495
Like so, like, right now, my I have boy girl
twins.
69
00:04:41,495 --> 00:04:42,294
They're 16.
70
00:04:42,294 --> 00:04:43,254
They're in their junior year.
71
00:04:43,629 --> 00:04:50,269
We're already making ideas and better let's get
into AP classes so that we can do a good job in
72
00:04:50,269 --> 00:04:51,310
getting into college.
73
00:04:51,389 --> 00:04:52,750
None of that happened for me.
74
00:04:52,750 --> 00:04:57,834
When it came time to come to college, I knew I
was going to be an entrepreneur and what should
75
00:04:57,834 --> 00:04:58,394
I study?
76
00:04:58,394 --> 00:05:03,675
And I actually, when I was researching my book
Live Longer and Better, went in and, you know,
77
00:05:03,675 --> 00:05:06,794
you might say today, hey, you should study
entrepreneurship.
78
00:05:06,794 --> 00:05:11,675
But when I graduated from high school, there
weren't any entrepreneurship courses.
79
00:05:12,120 --> 00:05:15,480
In fact, in the entire country, there was one
class.
80
00:05:15,480 --> 00:05:17,160
So that wasn't even an option.
81
00:05:17,399 --> 00:05:22,600
I'm not even sure I would do that option today
because my thought process was I'm good in
82
00:05:22,600 --> 00:05:27,095
math, I'm good in science, what's the fastest
way to the highest salary so that I could have
83
00:05:27,095 --> 00:05:29,895
money to invest in a business and become an
entrepreneur?
84
00:05:30,455 --> 00:05:34,134
And for me, being good in math and science,
that was mechanical engineering.
85
00:05:34,615 --> 00:05:41,300
A couple of things went wrong with that, with
that plan, and the first one was it did take me
86
00:05:41,300 --> 00:05:43,060
more than four years to graduate.
87
00:05:43,060 --> 00:05:46,339
Engineering is a pretty rigorous study.
88
00:05:46,579 --> 00:05:48,419
I also so it took me six years.
89
00:05:48,419 --> 00:05:52,819
I did get a minor in computer science and math
so it took longer than I was thinking.
90
00:05:53,394 --> 00:05:57,555
Additionally, I ended up starting the company
while I was still in college.
91
00:05:57,555 --> 00:06:01,074
And the way that worked out is we're going be
talking about this molecule.
92
00:06:01,074 --> 00:06:03,074
I'm holding up a model of a molecule.
93
00:06:03,074 --> 00:06:07,460
If you're listening to the podcast, just
imagine a soccer ball where the lines on the
94
00:06:07,460 --> 00:06:09,939
soccer ball represent the bonds between the
carbon atoms.
95
00:06:09,939 --> 00:06:14,980
You have a spherical molecule of 60 carbon
atoms called ESS 60.
96
00:06:14,980 --> 00:06:17,699
That's elemental safe spheres, 60 atoms.
97
00:06:18,735 --> 00:06:20,735
The molecule was discovered in '85.
98
00:06:20,735 --> 00:06:24,894
The three scientists who discovered it won the
Nobel Prize in 1996.
99
00:06:25,375 --> 00:06:32,814
My business partner, Robert, was in the lab, a
particular chromatography lab on the University
100
00:06:32,814 --> 00:06:33,694
of Houston campus.
101
00:06:34,029 --> 00:06:39,310
And one day, his professor, professor Paul Chew
by the way, doctor Paul Chew is extremely
102
00:06:39,310 --> 00:06:39,949
famous.
103
00:06:40,029 --> 00:06:44,990
You've never heard of him, but he's extremely
famous in the superconductivity world.
104
00:06:44,990 --> 00:06:51,324
In fact, the building that all of this happened
in was the Texas Center for Superconductivity.
105
00:06:51,404 --> 00:06:56,204
We just called it Chew's Castle because doctor
Paul Chew's fame built this building.
106
00:06:56,524 --> 00:06:59,564
So my business partner Robert is working in
Chew's Castle.
107
00:06:59,819 --> 00:07:04,139
Doctor Paul Chew comes in and says, hey, you
are young kids, and he was actually separating
108
00:07:04,139 --> 00:07:04,939
this molecule.
109
00:07:04,939 --> 00:07:11,020
There's lots of molecules that come as you're
making this molecule, and he was separating it.
110
00:07:11,020 --> 00:07:12,779
And doctor Chew said, hey, you are young kids.
111
00:07:13,574 --> 00:07:17,495
This molecule is selling for $6,000 a gram.
112
00:07:17,814 --> 00:07:20,855
You should go make a machine and sell this
material.
113
00:07:21,175 --> 00:07:25,894
My business partner, Robert, is from an
entrepreneurial background, and I joke that he
114
00:07:25,894 --> 00:07:32,769
did a back of the napkin calculation that had
only one line, dollars 6,000 a gram, and off he
115
00:07:32,769 --> 00:07:34,449
was to make this equipment.
116
00:07:34,610 --> 00:07:36,529
It's very hard to make this molecule.
117
00:07:36,529 --> 00:07:38,449
You actually have to vaporize graphite.
118
00:07:38,449 --> 00:07:42,395
First off, let me just start with it is a
naturally occurring molecule.
119
00:07:42,955 --> 00:07:46,955
Everyone in your audience has been exposed to
this, and I'll offer as evidence.
120
00:07:47,194 --> 00:07:52,555
If you take the soot of a candle flame so you
might do that by taking a candle flame, put a
121
00:07:51,930 --> 00:07:54,250
cold steel plate over that candle flame.
122
00:07:54,250 --> 00:07:57,610
You'll get that deep dark soot on that cold
steel plate.
123
00:07:57,610 --> 00:08:03,529
That deep dark soot has parts per million or
parts per billion of this ESS 60 molecule.
124
00:08:03,610 --> 00:08:06,889
So we have all it's naturally occurring, and
we've all been exposed to it.
125
00:08:07,285 --> 00:08:11,285
But if you want appreciable quantities,
something that would go into, say, a health
126
00:08:11,285 --> 00:08:14,725
supplement, you actually need to manufacture
it.
127
00:08:14,725 --> 00:08:19,365
To manufacture it, you need to vaporize
graphite rods at the temperature of the sun
128
00:08:19,365 --> 00:08:22,964
because graphite is one of the hardest
materials on the temperature to vaporize.
129
00:08:23,339 --> 00:08:28,300
You also must do this devoid of oxygen, so you
can't have any oxygen in the chamber, and it
130
00:08:28,300 --> 00:08:29,660
must be at a slight vacuum.
131
00:08:29,660 --> 00:08:33,340
So there's all sorts of incredible engineering
challenges in this.
132
00:08:33,740 --> 00:08:37,259
That's why I was brought in to help with those
engineering challenges, to help with the
133
00:08:37,259 --> 00:08:37,580
drawings.
134
00:08:38,235 --> 00:08:43,754
And so we started manufacturing and
distributing this molecule in 1991.
135
00:08:44,154 --> 00:08:48,875
We are the oldest and longest manufacturer and
distributor of the molecule.
136
00:08:49,115 --> 00:08:55,009
Now the molecule is amazing so it performs as
well or better than the current best material
137
00:08:55,089 --> 00:08:56,850
in almost every application.
138
00:08:57,169 --> 00:09:00,690
So it makes better inks, better batteries,
better tires, better photocells.
139
00:09:00,690 --> 00:09:05,649
This is where people usually get nervous
because nobody in your audience woke up this
140
00:09:05,649 --> 00:09:09,855
morning, looked out at their car and thought, I
wonder what part of my car battery I should be
141
00:09:09,855 --> 00:09:12,175
consuming on a daily basis for my health.
142
00:09:12,575 --> 00:09:14,975
And actually, the story gets a little bit
worse.
143
00:09:14,975 --> 00:09:19,695
So on the exterior of the soccer ball shaped
molecule, there is one shape.
144
00:09:19,695 --> 00:09:21,360
So not the formula. It's the
145
00:09:21,040 --> 00:09:22,720
It's the same shape as benzene.
146
00:09:22,720 --> 00:09:24,399
It occurs 20 times.
147
00:09:24,720 --> 00:09:28,000
Benzene is known to be toxic, known to be
carcinogenic.
148
00:09:28,000 --> 00:09:33,440
And so because that shape occurred on the
exterior of this cage 20 times, they thought
149
00:09:33,440 --> 00:09:34,639
the molecule would be toxic.
150
00:09:35,014 --> 00:09:38,215
They put it in a toxicity finally, the story
starts getting better.
151
00:09:38,215 --> 00:09:39,575
They put it in this study.
152
00:09:40,695 --> 00:09:46,294
The test subjects that they gave it to, in this
case, Wistar rats, lived 90% longer than the
153
00:09:46,294 --> 00:09:46,855
control group.
154
00:09:47,600 --> 00:09:53,200
So that's the single longest longevity
experimental result on mammals in history.
155
00:09:53,519 --> 00:09:55,120
Peer reviewed published research.
156
00:09:55,120 --> 00:09:58,079
I'm very proud to share my lab provided the
material.
157
00:09:58,079 --> 00:10:00,399
My lab is mentioned in that original study.
158
00:10:00,735 --> 00:10:05,855
And I'll just wrap this up with the most
consistent testimonial from people who take
159
00:10:05,855 --> 00:10:10,495
that formula is that they take it in the
morning, they report mental focus and energy
160
00:10:10,495 --> 00:10:13,134
during the day, and then better sleep that
night.
161
00:10:13,134 --> 00:10:16,740
By the the way, that's pretty profound for a a
couple of reasons.
162
00:10:17,220 --> 00:10:21,700
First off, if you just improve sleep, you will
improve mental, physical, and emotional
163
00:10:21,700 --> 00:10:22,259
well-being.
164
00:10:22,259 --> 00:10:22,580
Right?
165
00:10:22,580 --> 00:10:24,980
Like, that's just so powerful, so important.
166
00:10:25,620 --> 00:10:31,024
The next is to take something in the morning
that positively impacts sleep at night is
167
00:10:31,024 --> 00:10:32,304
basically unheard of.
168
00:10:32,304 --> 00:10:37,264
I've been asking the question of, all sorts of
wellness experts and people that I get on,
169
00:10:37,585 --> 00:10:40,840
podcasts with, and nobody come can come up with
any.
170
00:10:40,840 --> 00:10:43,160
I actually did have Natalie Needham.
171
00:10:43,480 --> 00:10:45,799
She has an amazing podcast called longevity.
172
00:10:45,799 --> 00:10:48,440
She and and is a peptide expert.
173
00:10:48,440 --> 00:10:50,279
And she goes, oh, there's this one peptide.
174
00:10:50,279 --> 00:10:52,200
Like, you take it in the morning, it'll help
you sleep.
175
00:10:52,200 --> 00:10:56,304
And I was like, well, I haven't like, I don't
remember the peptide, and I it's not a peptide
176
00:10:56,304 --> 00:10:57,585
that I played around with.
177
00:10:57,825 --> 00:11:02,465
So, basically, to take something in the morning
positively impacts sleep at night is pretty
178
00:11:02,465 --> 00:11:03,024
profound.
179
00:11:03,024 --> 00:11:08,149
And we think that goes to support what I'm sure
we'll talk about, which is the boss theory as
180
00:11:08,149 --> 00:11:11,190
it relates to how this molecule is kind of
impacting the body.
181
00:11:12,629 --> 00:11:13,029
Yes.
182
00:11:13,029 --> 00:11:16,950
We will definitely be talking about the boss
theory, but I I have to go back a little bit
183
00:11:16,950 --> 00:11:21,269
first because I'm kind of stuck on this idea
that you can vaporize graphite.
184
00:11:21,605 --> 00:11:22,004
Mhmm.
185
00:11:22,004 --> 00:11:23,045
Isn't that crazy?
186
00:11:23,045 --> 00:11:26,565
I didn't know you could vaporize a solid
material.
187
00:11:27,365 --> 00:11:30,485
I thought vaporize was only from liquid.
188
00:11:30,805 --> 00:11:31,205
Yeah.
189
00:11:31,205 --> 00:11:37,529
So there is so a lot of metals, you so you can
take steel and you can melt it, and then that
190
00:11:37,529 --> 00:11:39,690
will vaporize eventually Oh.
191
00:11:39,690 --> 00:11:40,809
At enough temperature.
192
00:11:40,809 --> 00:11:41,370
Right?
193
00:11:41,370 --> 00:11:43,690
So that does happen or a reduced vacuum.
194
00:11:43,690 --> 00:11:43,850
Right?
195
00:11:43,850 --> 00:11:47,129
There's a the the the temperature and pressure
are interrelated.
196
00:11:47,450 --> 00:11:52,649
There are some materials that do not have a
liquid phase, and and graphite is one of those
197
00:11:52,154 --> 00:11:52,795
materials.
198
00:11:52,795 --> 00:11:55,274
There is no liquid phase carbon.
199
00:11:55,274 --> 00:11:59,355
Actually, there may be, like, really extreme
pressure or something that, like, is just
200
00:11:59,355 --> 00:12:00,715
unheard of on Earth.
201
00:12:01,274 --> 00:12:03,754
So it does something that's called sublimation.
202
00:12:03,754 --> 00:12:04,875
It goes directly.
203
00:12:04,875 --> 00:12:10,049
So so so we're we're familiar with snow on the
ground.
204
00:12:10,049 --> 00:12:10,529
Right?
205
00:12:10,529 --> 00:12:12,850
And then it normally melts and drains off.
206
00:12:13,009 --> 00:12:18,850
But there is one aspect called sublimation
where that ice will go directly to vapor.
207
00:12:18,929 --> 00:12:19,250
Right?
208
00:12:19,250 --> 00:12:20,450
That's called sublimation.
209
00:12:20,985 --> 00:12:22,985
And that's really what's happening with this
graphite.
210
00:12:22,985 --> 00:12:24,904
It goes just directly to vapor.
211
00:12:25,384 --> 00:12:30,825
And so, yeah, it's at, again, at the
temperatures of the sun, the same temperatures.
212
00:12:32,024 --> 00:12:32,585
Okay.
213
00:12:32,585 --> 00:12:33,304
Wow.
214
00:12:33,464 --> 00:12:34,105
Okay.
215
00:12:34,105 --> 00:12:41,290
So you found out that these mice were living
90% longer than the control group.
216
00:12:41,850 --> 00:12:43,610
And then and then what happens?
217
00:12:43,610 --> 00:12:45,850
And then and then what?
218
00:12:46,250 --> 00:12:50,649
So, you'll hear a couple times in this that
Chris wishes he was smarter.
219
00:12:51,075 --> 00:12:51,394
Right?
220
00:12:51,394 --> 00:12:55,875
Because somebody would, see that study and go,
oh, we should make a supplement and sell it
221
00:12:55,875 --> 00:12:56,595
right away.
222
00:12:56,595 --> 00:12:59,154
That's not what happened, and there's reasons
for that.
223
00:12:59,154 --> 00:13:02,355
So interestingly, that study came out in mid
two thousand and twelve.
224
00:13:03,039 --> 00:13:07,840
By mid twenty thirteen, we started getting
phone calls from this crazy wacky group of
225
00:13:07,840 --> 00:13:09,519
people called biohackers.
226
00:13:09,600 --> 00:13:12,720
And I can say that affectionately because I am
now a biohacker.
227
00:13:12,879 --> 00:13:17,654
And they were like, hey, that study where the
rats live 90% longer, how much of that stuff
228
00:13:17,654 --> 00:13:19,095
should we be consuming?
229
00:13:19,335 --> 00:13:22,134
And my business partner, Robert, and I, we were
like, wait.
230
00:13:22,134 --> 00:13:25,014
What we heard, the question we really heard
was, hey, Chris.
231
00:13:25,014 --> 00:13:29,654
That stuff that you sell to research
institutions around the world so they can put
232
00:13:29,654 --> 00:13:32,669
it into ink, batteries, tires, and photocells.
233
00:13:32,669 --> 00:13:35,149
How much of that stuff should we be consuming?
234
00:13:35,709 --> 00:13:38,509
And we thought the appropriate answer was none.
235
00:13:38,509 --> 00:13:39,149
Zero.
236
00:13:39,230 --> 00:13:43,389
And we actually added not for human consumption
to our labeling in mid two thousand and
237
00:13:43,389 --> 00:13:43,789
thirteen.
238
00:13:43,789 --> 00:13:49,315
So you think from 1991 all the way to mid two
thousand thirteen, we don't have not for human
239
00:13:49,315 --> 00:13:52,514
consumption on the labeling because we don't
have people trying to take it.
240
00:13:53,154 --> 00:13:55,794
And so we add not for human consumption to the
labeling.
241
00:13:55,794 --> 00:13:57,475
I wanna be extremely clear.
242
00:13:57,475 --> 00:14:00,870
In the literature, it was understood this
molecule was safe.
243
00:14:01,029 --> 00:14:03,750
We're just conservative carbon nanomaterial
scientists.
244
00:14:03,750 --> 00:14:04,149
Right?
245
00:14:04,149 --> 00:14:06,710
And so inks, batteries, tires, photocells were
like, no.
246
00:14:06,710 --> 00:14:08,870
We don't think you should, consume it.
247
00:14:08,870 --> 00:14:13,430
That turned into a very interesting situation
where we were getting two to three phone calls
248
00:14:13,430 --> 00:14:16,745
per week, and those phone calls sounded kind of
like this.
249
00:14:16,745 --> 00:14:20,345
Joe would call me and he'd say, Hey Chris, my
knee pain is gone.
250
00:14:20,345 --> 00:14:23,144
And I would say, Joe, you mean the knee pain of
your rat?
251
00:14:23,144 --> 00:14:26,345
Because it literally says not for human
consumption on labeling.
252
00:14:26,664 --> 00:14:27,945
And he would go, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
253
00:14:27,945 --> 00:14:34,350
Hey, If my rat weighs 275 pounds and does HIIT
training on Thursdays and Fridays, should I
254
00:14:34,350 --> 00:14:37,870
take I mean, should my rat take more on the
days of HIIT training?
255
00:14:37,870 --> 00:14:38,350
Right?
256
00:14:38,350 --> 00:14:40,350
So we again, we knew what was going on.
257
00:14:40,350 --> 00:14:42,589
In the literature, it was safe in the molecule.
258
00:14:42,909 --> 00:14:47,605
And, basically, every quarter, literally in the
room right behind me, the conference room right
259
00:14:47,605 --> 00:14:51,524
behind me, my business partner Robert and I
would get together and be like, do we wanna get
260
00:14:51,524 --> 00:14:53,285
into this supplement industry?
261
00:14:54,004 --> 00:14:58,769
And we're, you know, we're selling to we're
actually selling to the most stringent industry
262
00:14:58,769 --> 00:15:01,490
period, which is the research industry.
263
00:15:01,730 --> 00:15:07,889
When we ship them this black powder, they take
it and they give it to a grad student or a
264
00:15:08,129 --> 00:15:09,250
research associate.
265
00:15:09,250 --> 00:15:10,370
They do the testing with it.
266
00:15:10,370 --> 00:15:14,384
They make sure that we shipped them what we
sold them, which is not what happens in the
267
00:15:14,384 --> 00:15:15,264
supplement industry.
268
00:15:15,264 --> 00:15:20,465
And in fact, kind of in this time span where we
didn't wanna get into the supplement industry,
269
00:15:20,465 --> 00:15:25,105
I I like I think it's generous to say that the
supplement industry is challenged.
270
00:15:25,279 --> 00:15:25,679
Right?
271
00:15:25,679 --> 00:15:28,960
We'll just that's a very generous way to say
it.
272
00:15:29,120 --> 00:15:34,240
And in fact, in this time frame, I found a peer
reviewed published research paper that showed
273
00:15:34,240 --> 00:15:39,519
that 50 of the supplements this research group
had purchased on the market didn't have in them
274
00:15:39,519 --> 00:15:41,575
what they said they had in them, Right?
275
00:15:41,575 --> 00:15:45,894
So this is the antithesis of selling to
research institutions around the world.
276
00:15:46,455 --> 00:15:52,375
So finally, at the latter part of 2017, a guy
with a big YouTube following starts sharing all
277
00:15:52,375 --> 00:15:53,014
the benefits.
278
00:15:53,014 --> 00:15:55,649
By the way, YouTube following changes
everything these days.
279
00:15:55,649 --> 00:15:55,809
Right?
280
00:15:55,809 --> 00:15:56,929
That's how everything changes.
281
00:15:56,929 --> 00:16:01,329
He he starts sharing all the benefits he's
getting, taking it on a daily basis, and our
282
00:16:01,329 --> 00:16:05,330
phone went from two to three calls per week to
10 calls a day.
283
00:16:06,049 --> 00:16:10,004
So at that quarterly meeting, my business
partner, Robert, and I was like, well, we you
284
00:16:10,004 --> 00:16:13,684
know, apparently, is a this is an opportunity
we didn't realize.
285
00:16:14,164 --> 00:16:15,445
We wish we were smarter.
286
00:16:15,524 --> 00:16:20,644
And we also looked back to that peer reviewed
published research paper where 50% of the
287
00:16:20,644 --> 00:16:24,269
supplements on the market don't have in them
what they say they have in them, and we knew
288
00:16:24,269 --> 00:16:27,870
this would happen in that industry, in our
industry, right, in this industry.
289
00:16:28,669 --> 00:16:32,589
And we're the oldest and longest manufacturer
and distributor of the molecule on the planet.
290
00:16:32,589 --> 00:16:38,534
We can make it to the highest possible
standing, quality standards And so we decided,
291
00:16:38,615 --> 00:16:42,054
well, we asked ourselves two questions and then
got into the industry.
292
00:16:42,454 --> 00:16:44,934
The two questions were first a moral question.
293
00:16:44,934 --> 00:16:46,774
Are we comfortable selling it?
294
00:16:47,014 --> 00:16:47,814
I take it.
295
00:16:47,814 --> 00:16:48,774
My wife takes it.
296
00:16:48,774 --> 00:16:50,710
Everybody on our team here takes it.
297
00:16:50,950 --> 00:16:54,230
By the way, not a requirement to work here.
298
00:16:54,230 --> 00:16:58,070
You don't clock in and somebody makes sure you
take your shot of My Vital C.
299
00:16:58,389 --> 00:17:03,509
Everybody here, like everyone, has access to
all of the research that's available out there.
300
00:17:04,065 --> 00:17:08,065
But they also, maybe more importantly, have
access to all the testimonials that are coming
301
00:17:08,065 --> 00:17:09,984
in through the customer service department.
302
00:17:10,065 --> 00:17:12,304
Many of these testimonials we can't share.
303
00:17:12,544 --> 00:17:13,904
They're just so profound.
304
00:17:13,904 --> 00:17:15,424
We've got a lot more research to do.
305
00:17:16,240 --> 00:17:17,519
So that was first.
306
00:17:17,519 --> 00:17:19,359
Morally, yes, comfortable selling it.
307
00:17:19,440 --> 00:17:20,559
Next is the legal.
308
00:17:20,559 --> 00:17:22,720
So you've got the FDA and the FTC.
309
00:17:22,720 --> 00:17:23,759
You've got to cross the t's.
310
00:17:23,759 --> 00:17:25,039
You've got to dot the i's.
311
00:17:25,039 --> 00:17:25,759
We're doing that.
312
00:17:25,759 --> 00:17:31,634
So in 2018, we started bringing this molecule
to to the industry.
313
00:17:31,634 --> 00:17:37,795
And that's kind of when I I I was given an
additional role, which is that of the chief
314
00:17:37,795 --> 00:17:41,795
scientist of a car well, I was already the
chief scientist of a carbon nanomaterial
315
00:17:41,795 --> 00:17:42,674
manufacturing business.
316
00:17:42,940 --> 00:17:47,820
Now we've added a new hat, which is the chief
scientist of a health and wellness supplement
317
00:17:47,820 --> 00:17:48,299
company.
318
00:17:48,299 --> 00:17:52,779
And and so things really started changing,
about 2018.
319
00:17:54,059 --> 00:18:00,434
Who had the idea of taking this this substance
that you were using for ink cartridges and
320
00:18:00,434 --> 00:18:04,194
automobiles and and even testing it on rats?
321
00:18:04,515 --> 00:18:04,994
Yeah.
322
00:18:04,994 --> 00:18:10,275
Well, so because it's good in inks, batteries,
tires, and photocells, the research community,
323
00:18:10,275 --> 00:18:14,970
the scientists scientific community thought
that man would be working with us on a regular
324
00:18:14,970 --> 00:18:15,609
basis.
325
00:18:15,609 --> 00:18:16,009
Right?
326
00:18:16,009 --> 00:18:18,889
Currently, by the way, there's a couple of
applications.
327
00:18:19,289 --> 00:18:23,129
I don't this is so fascinating because I I
learned this recently.
328
00:18:23,929 --> 00:18:30,144
So do you remember escalators and those black
handles with escalators used to be filled with
329
00:18:30,144 --> 00:18:30,865
static?
330
00:18:31,345 --> 00:18:36,384
And you may not have noticed because it's so
subtle, they're no longer filled with static
331
00:18:37,345 --> 00:18:39,139
because they've added nanotubes.
332
00:18:39,139 --> 00:18:42,339
Now nanotubes are related to this ESS 60
molecule.
333
00:18:42,339 --> 00:18:46,259
They're long tubes, that have a similar
structure.
334
00:18:46,579 --> 00:18:52,579
By adding these nanotubes to that black
plastic, it diffuses the static electricity.
335
00:18:52,579 --> 00:18:57,315
So next time you go out on an escalator, think
back to when we were younger, and by the way,
336
00:18:57,315 --> 00:19:01,475
this is probably only five, maybe ten years
ago, when it was full of static.
337
00:19:01,475 --> 00:19:06,035
You could feel the static on this thing because
it's a rubber that's constantly moving and
338
00:19:06,035 --> 00:19:06,835
rubbing against stuff.
339
00:19:07,700 --> 00:19:10,740
So that is an application of a similar
technology.
340
00:19:11,460 --> 00:19:16,980
In organic solar cells, this molecule is one of
the best molecules for that.
341
00:19:16,980 --> 00:19:21,059
So these are they're practical applications,
and we continue to sell to the research
342
00:19:21,140 --> 00:19:22,099
community about this.
343
00:19:22,534 --> 00:19:27,815
If it's so good in all these applications, then
the scientific community thought we would be
344
00:19:27,815 --> 00:19:29,894
working with mass quantities of it.
345
00:19:29,894 --> 00:19:31,095
It's just too expensive.
346
00:19:31,095 --> 00:19:32,694
Like, it was one of the challenges.
347
00:19:32,934 --> 00:19:37,820
And if if man is gonna be working with things
at large quantities, you wanna to understand
348
00:19:37,820 --> 00:19:38,859
the toxicity.
349
00:19:38,940 --> 00:19:43,980
And remember, because this shape is the benzene
ring and it occurs 20 times the exterior of the
350
00:19:43,980 --> 00:19:49,099
cage, they assumed it would be toxic, so they
wanted to find out how toxic is it.
351
00:19:49,339 --> 00:19:50,779
And that's why they did that study.
352
00:19:51,134 --> 00:19:56,174
And instead of it being toxic, the test
subjects, in this case, Wistar rats, lived 90%
353
00:19:56,174 --> 00:19:57,615
longer than the control group.
354
00:19:58,815 --> 00:19:59,534
Wow.
355
00:19:59,855 --> 00:20:00,575
Okay.
356
00:20:01,855 --> 00:20:02,575
Okay.
357
00:20:02,575 --> 00:20:08,460
I'm still, like, blown away that that they I
guess that must happen all the time that
358
00:20:08,460 --> 00:20:13,819
they're using what they think to be toxic
studies or toxic substances and testing them on
359
00:20:13,819 --> 00:20:15,740
rats to make sure they're toxic.
360
00:20:15,740 --> 00:20:16,380
Yes.
361
00:20:16,380 --> 00:20:18,460
That is and and I know there's a lot of people.
362
00:20:18,460 --> 00:20:18,984
It's cruel.
363
00:20:18,984 --> 00:20:20,664
I wish there was a better way to do this.
364
00:20:20,664 --> 00:20:25,384
We're clearly not gonna do those tests on
humans, and some people might argue that's what
365
00:20:25,384 --> 00:20:26,104
we should do.
366
00:20:26,424 --> 00:20:27,544
I don't think so.
367
00:20:27,865 --> 00:20:29,704
So so, yeah, those initial studies.
368
00:20:29,704 --> 00:20:35,079
And and what's interesting is when you're
trying to find out if something is toxic, you
369
00:20:35,079 --> 00:20:38,839
don't give a little bit to the rats and see if
they don't feel well.
370
00:20:38,839 --> 00:20:42,039
That study doesn't come out well.
371
00:20:42,200 --> 00:20:47,234
You actually give them as much as you think
they can handle and see if they die.
372
00:20:47,474 --> 00:20:49,154
That is the situation.
373
00:20:49,154 --> 00:20:49,954
I know it sounds cruel.
374
00:20:49,954 --> 00:20:50,994
It's not my study.
375
00:20:51,234 --> 00:20:55,234
But honestly, it's the right way to approach
toxicity for humans.
376
00:20:56,274 --> 00:20:58,595
And so in this case, they're giving them a lot.
377
00:20:59,039 --> 00:21:04,720
And I I actually like to give credit to the
researchers because if anything was ever true
378
00:21:04,720 --> 00:21:11,759
about our toxicity study, when all of the
control rats, so those rats given water, are
379
00:21:11,759 --> 00:21:19,714
dead and all of the toxic rats are still alive,
that material is not toxic.
380
00:21:19,795 --> 00:21:20,194
Right?
381
00:21:20,194 --> 00:21:24,994
Because, like, they've outlived normal rats, so
it's clearly not talk they could have ended
382
00:21:24,994 --> 00:21:28,035
their experiment at that time, and that
happened at about thirty two months.
383
00:21:29,450 --> 00:21:34,410
And they continued to do the animal husbandry
out to sixty two months, so that's another two
384
00:21:34,410 --> 00:21:35,450
and a half years.
385
00:21:36,170 --> 00:21:38,809
Really, they were down to two remaining rats.
386
00:21:38,890 --> 00:21:40,169
One of them passed.
387
00:21:40,170 --> 00:21:43,289
They euthanized the last one because they have
to publish their studies.
388
00:21:43,289 --> 00:21:47,115
Again, they're two and a half years past the
time that they could have reported their study
389
00:21:47,115 --> 00:21:51,115
and said this material is absolutely not toxic.
390
00:21:51,115 --> 00:21:53,275
Like, could have said that two and a half years
earlier.
391
00:21:53,275 --> 00:21:55,994
So I like to give a lot of credit to them.
392
00:21:56,394 --> 00:22:01,369
I'll share there's another aspect of the study
that's pretty powerful, which is a typical
393
00:22:01,369 --> 00:22:06,009
Wistar rat lives out to 32 and has a known
amount of tumor mass in its body.
394
00:22:06,169 --> 00:22:09,609
The longer it lives, the more tumor mass it
gets in its body.
395
00:22:10,009 --> 00:22:15,234
Even though the MyVital C rats lived out to
sixty two months, again, 90% longer, none of
396
00:22:15,234 --> 00:22:16,754
them had any tumors.
397
00:22:16,994 --> 00:22:21,075
Now I've told that story to people, and they're
like, oh, cure for cancer, and I'm like, nope.
398
00:22:21,234 --> 00:22:22,914
And then I like to add another no.
399
00:22:22,914 --> 00:22:24,229
Let's be really clear.
400
00:22:24,629 --> 00:22:29,589
There's a big difference between dealing with a
cancer that has metastasized and potentially
401
00:22:29,589 --> 00:22:31,269
being a cancer preventative.
402
00:22:31,589 --> 00:22:37,024
We know things as simple as good exercise, good
nutrition, good sleep can be cancer
403
00:22:37,024 --> 00:22:37,825
preventatives.
404
00:22:37,825 --> 00:22:42,464
And that just throws this molecule, this ESS60
molecule, into that arena.
405
00:22:42,944 --> 00:22:47,345
I will share there is one petri dish study that
I think is fascinating and related.
406
00:22:47,345 --> 00:22:50,784
By the way, petri dish studies, the lowest
level of study.
407
00:22:50,865 --> 00:22:55,480
You should accept an anecdote over a petri dish
study, period.
408
00:22:55,480 --> 00:22:56,360
End of story.
409
00:22:56,360 --> 00:22:56,920
Right?
410
00:22:57,000 --> 00:22:58,359
But this is relevant.
411
00:22:58,360 --> 00:23:04,440
So in a petri dish, they have healthy cells and
cancer cells, and they introduce an anticancer
412
00:23:04,440 --> 00:23:04,759
agent.
413
00:23:04,694 --> 00:23:04,934
Agent.
414
00:23:04,934 --> 00:23:06,534
That's basically a poison.
415
00:23:06,615 --> 00:23:09,815
You're hoping to poison the cancer cells before
the healthy cells.
416
00:23:10,134 --> 00:23:16,134
In the presence of the ESS60 molecule, there is
increased efficacy against the cancer cells and
417
00:23:16,134 --> 00:23:19,129
protective effects for the healthy cells.
418
00:23:19,210 --> 00:23:25,369
So basically in the presence of ESS60, more
cancer cells die, less healthy cells die.
419
00:23:26,089 --> 00:23:31,609
This, I think, comes back to and we'll talk
about this at some point the boss theory in
420
00:23:31,609 --> 00:23:35,865
that we believe this molecule works at the
level of the mitochondria because cancer
421
00:23:35,865 --> 00:23:40,105
mitochondria use a different energy source than
healthy cell mitochondria.
422
00:23:41,305 --> 00:23:41,785
Okay.
423
00:23:41,785 --> 00:23:44,345
Before we move on, I just want to clarify.
424
00:23:44,345 --> 00:23:50,079
So what you're saying with that Petri dish
study showed was that in in a practical
425
00:23:50,079 --> 00:23:56,319
application, if you were to take chemotherapy
to deal with a cancer diagnosis and you were to
426
00:23:56,319 --> 00:24:01,119
add this ESS 60 molecule, that that would make
it more effective.
427
00:24:01,825 --> 00:24:04,545
That is the implication of that.
428
00:24:04,785 --> 00:24:06,705
So we can't make that statement, of course.
429
00:24:06,705 --> 00:24:06,945
Right.
430
00:24:06,945 --> 00:24:07,105
Right.
431
00:24:07,105 --> 00:24:07,184
Right.
432
00:24:07,184 --> 00:24:07,664
Right.
433
00:24:07,664 --> 00:24:13,184
So taking something from from a petri dish and
introducing it into any animal model, including
434
00:24:13,184 --> 00:24:17,380
a human, is a risky endeavor, but that is the
implications.
435
00:24:17,380 --> 00:24:18,979
You you you nailed it.
436
00:24:19,700 --> 00:24:20,259
Okay.
437
00:24:20,259 --> 00:24:22,579
So let's go on to the boss model.
438
00:24:22,579 --> 00:24:27,140
But before we do that, I want to lay a
foundation for people who might not have the
439
00:24:27,140 --> 00:24:34,515
kind of anatomical knowledge of the human body
and and really let's start with the found kind
440
00:24:34,515 --> 00:24:37,075
of the base level of mitochondria.
441
00:24:37,075 --> 00:24:38,194
What is mitochondria?
442
00:24:38,194 --> 00:24:39,075
How does that work?
443
00:24:39,154 --> 00:24:44,640
Because you're the inflammation investigator, I
wanna I wanna walk through my process because
444
00:24:44,640 --> 00:24:49,039
inflammation comes into that process, and then
we'll get to the boss theory because I think
445
00:24:49,039 --> 00:24:50,960
that supports what we're about to say.
446
00:24:50,960 --> 00:24:56,640
So so you can imagine in 2018, my role changes,
now chief scientist of a health and wellness
447
00:24:56,640 --> 00:25:01,005
supplement company, and I'm trying to figure
out what what how is it working.
448
00:25:01,005 --> 00:25:01,164
Right?
449
00:25:01,164 --> 00:25:02,365
What is the method of action?
450
00:25:02,365 --> 00:25:03,325
Because that's I'm a scientist.
451
00:25:03,325 --> 00:25:06,445
I don't I would like I I don't wanna just know,
oh, it makes me feel better or whatever.
452
00:25:06,445 --> 00:25:08,365
My rat's knee pain is gone.
453
00:25:08,445 --> 00:25:09,484
I wanna know why.
454
00:25:09,884 --> 00:25:14,799
And the first place that we landed was because
our most consistent testimonial is people take
455
00:25:14,799 --> 00:25:18,639
it in the morning, report mental focus and
energy during the day, and better sleep that
456
00:25:18,639 --> 00:25:23,519
night, the first place we really landed was on
sleep, right, because if we can just improve
457
00:25:23,519 --> 00:25:27,200
sleep, we will improve your mental, physical,
and emotional well-being, right, so that's
458
00:25:27,200 --> 00:25:27,919
where we landed first.
459
00:25:28,884 --> 00:25:31,365
The next, I kind of looked at the medical
community.
460
00:25:31,365 --> 00:25:33,125
These rats live 90% longer.
461
00:25:33,125 --> 00:25:35,684
What does the medical community think about
aging?
462
00:25:36,085 --> 00:25:41,044
And they don't all agree because that's how
science works, but they tend to believe that
463
00:25:41,044 --> 00:25:44,244
aging is an oxidation and an inflammation
process.
464
00:25:44,430 --> 00:25:46,430
And I know you're familiar with that.
465
00:25:46,910 --> 00:25:53,390
In terms of an antioxidant, there's an ad hoc
study on the web showing us to be 172 times
466
00:25:53,390 --> 00:25:55,150
more powerful than vitamin C.
467
00:25:55,390 --> 00:25:59,710
There is peer reviewed published research
showing us to be 125 times more powerful than
468
00:25:59,710 --> 00:26:00,269
vitamin C.
469
00:26:00,565 --> 00:26:01,684
So I'm in Texas.
470
00:26:01,684 --> 00:26:04,804
We like to put a big old checkmark on
antioxidant.
471
00:26:05,365 --> 00:26:09,525
And you're going to know this but when it comes
to inflammation you have to be very careful
472
00:26:09,525 --> 00:26:15,365
about how you talk about inflammation because
the FDA equates conversations of inflammation
473
00:26:15,720 --> 00:26:21,240
with the diseases of inflammation, which are
also the diseases of aging, so arthritis,
474
00:26:21,240 --> 00:26:23,879
Alzheimer's, cardiovascular disease, cancer.
475
00:26:23,880 --> 00:26:27,159
So I come on your podcast, I share we address
inflammation.
476
00:26:27,159 --> 00:26:32,924
What the FDA hears is me claiming I cure
cancer, I cure cardiovascular disease.
477
00:26:33,085 --> 00:26:34,204
We are not claiming.
478
00:26:34,444 --> 00:26:39,244
There is so much research and really
fundamentally expensive research that needs to
479
00:26:39,244 --> 00:26:41,644
go in in order to be able to make that claim.
480
00:26:42,519 --> 00:26:47,880
We are starting four clinical they're called
real world trials so that we can get clinical
481
00:26:47,880 --> 00:26:52,759
quality data by the end of the year and I'm
sure I'll talk about that at some point.
482
00:26:53,240 --> 00:26:59,640
What the FDA does allow us to say is that we
address inflammation at least as it relates to
483
00:26:58,335 --> 00:26:59,934
exercise induced inflammation.
484
00:26:59,934 --> 00:27:03,375
So we add, I don't know, a little tiny check
mark next to inflammation.
485
00:27:03,375 --> 00:27:13,070
So this is all really important, fairly simple
to understand, but what's actual mechanism
486
00:27:13,070 --> 00:27:14,269
that's driving this?
487
00:27:14,670 --> 00:27:18,109
And what it is is called the BOSS theory.
488
00:27:18,750 --> 00:27:25,255
It stands for buffering oxidative stress
system, and what gives credibility to this is
489
00:27:25,255 --> 00:27:30,054
that there is peer reviewed published research
showing the ESS60 molecule inside of the
490
00:27:30,054 --> 00:27:31,174
mitochondria.
491
00:27:31,734 --> 00:27:36,295
And we also know from way back in the 90s that
this ESS60 molecule can hold up to six
492
00:27:36,295 --> 00:27:39,095
negatively charged particles on the exterior of
the cage.
493
00:27:39,750 --> 00:27:41,669
So here's what that looks like.
494
00:27:41,670 --> 00:27:45,910
I'm gonna get a little bit geeky, and then
we're gonna back out, and we're gonna have our
495
00:27:45,910 --> 00:27:50,069
Mardi Gras analogy that I'm sure everyone is
sticking around for.
496
00:27:50,069 --> 00:27:55,414
So the mitochondria is known as the powerhouse
of every cell.
497
00:27:55,414 --> 00:27:57,575
It serves many other functions, signaling.
498
00:27:57,575 --> 00:27:59,255
There's all sorts of stuff that it does.
499
00:27:59,494 --> 00:28:03,894
But the key component that we all kind of
attribute to the mitochondria is it's the
500
00:28:03,894 --> 00:28:05,255
powerhouse of every cell.
501
00:28:05,255 --> 00:28:07,255
It produces ATP.
502
00:28:07,335 --> 00:28:12,690
That's the energy, that your cells use to do
their job.
503
00:28:12,690 --> 00:28:18,609
So your liver cell, heart cell, kidney cell,
lung cell, brain cell, it needs ATP, and that's
504
00:28:18,609 --> 00:28:23,164
produced by the mitochondria from the food
that's gotten into your bloodstream, right, in
505
00:28:23,164 --> 00:28:25,565
order to do its job.
506
00:28:26,204 --> 00:28:29,964
Like any energy source, there is a negative
byproduct.
507
00:28:30,285 --> 00:28:33,565
You think about your car going down the road,
there is exhaust.
508
00:28:33,644 --> 00:28:37,240
You think about a power plant, there's a
smokestack with smoke coming out of it.
509
00:28:37,319 --> 00:28:41,079
In the case of mitochondria, it's reactive
oxygen species.
510
00:28:41,079 --> 00:28:45,799
Now the way I picture these reactive oxygen
species, they're like little bumper cars.
511
00:28:46,119 --> 00:28:49,559
And if they're left to their own devices,
everything they run around your body and smack
512
00:28:49,559 --> 00:28:56,255
into, they cause rust, oxidative stress,
oxidative damage, ultimately inflammaging,
513
00:28:56,255 --> 00:28:59,054
right, this confluence of inflammation and
aging.
514
00:29:00,095 --> 00:29:05,710
And this sounds horrible, and it is, but like
so many biological systems in our body, there
515
00:29:05,710 --> 00:29:10,589
is a way to manage it, and we actually can
manage it at the level of the mitochondria with
516
00:29:10,589 --> 00:29:11,950
two antioxidants.
517
00:29:11,950 --> 00:29:16,829
So this is typically glutathione and melatonin,
and they're responsible for managing those
518
00:29:16,829 --> 00:29:19,149
reactive oxygen species so they don't do
damage.
519
00:29:19,149 --> 00:29:22,794
And in a healthy mitochondria, that actually
happens.
520
00:29:23,115 --> 00:29:25,674
But what happens when you stress a
mitochondria?
521
00:29:25,674 --> 00:29:29,914
Now, this begs the question, how do you stress
a mitochondria?
522
00:29:29,914 --> 00:29:34,830
I point out that if you're alive in modern
society, you have stressed mitochondria.
523
00:29:34,830 --> 00:29:35,150
Right?
524
00:29:35,150 --> 00:29:40,269
Smoking, drinking, EMF radiation off of our
cell phones, stressful emails, stressful
525
00:29:40,269 --> 00:29:42,589
conversation, we have stressed mitochondria.
526
00:29:42,589 --> 00:29:47,630
And when that mitochondria is stressed, it
starts producing more reactive oxygen species
527
00:29:47,855 --> 00:29:51,534
than the internal glutathione and melatonin can
manage.
528
00:29:51,615 --> 00:29:56,335
And now, again, if they're left to their own
devices, those reactive oxygen species run
529
00:29:56,335 --> 00:30:00,095
around and they cause damage on everything they
bump into.
530
00:30:00,494 --> 00:30:03,134
And that's where the ESS60 molecule comes in.
531
00:30:03,134 --> 00:30:07,409
So, again, from peer reviewed published
research, we know it's in the mitochondria.
532
00:30:07,809 --> 00:30:13,649
We believe it holds on to up to six negatively
charged reactive oxygen species so they can't
533
00:30:13,649 --> 00:30:18,065
run around like little bumper cars and do
damage, and then when that mitochondria can
534
00:30:18,065 --> 00:30:23,024
replenish the glutathione, replenish the
melatonin, then it can manage those reactive
535
00:30:23,024 --> 00:30:27,345
oxygen species appropriately so that they
haven't actually done the bumper car damage.
536
00:30:28,399 --> 00:30:32,960
The summary: We believe we're reducing the
negative impact of stress mitochondria.
537
00:30:32,960 --> 00:30:33,440
All right.
538
00:30:33,440 --> 00:30:35,759
That was a lot of geeky science y stuff.
539
00:30:35,839 --> 00:30:38,319
Here is our analogy.
540
00:30:38,319 --> 00:30:42,724
I actually feel like all biological analogies
should start with Mardi Gras.
541
00:30:42,964 --> 00:30:46,085
I mean, a lot of biology happens at Mardi Gras,
so why not?
542
00:30:46,085 --> 00:30:48,005
So it's the end of Mardi Gras.
543
00:30:48,005 --> 00:30:53,684
You have these drunk reactive oxygen species on
Bourbon Street spray painting the walls,
544
00:30:53,684 --> 00:30:58,019
smashing windows, wreaking the, you know, the,
bumper car havoc.
545
00:30:58,500 --> 00:31:03,140
And you have the New Orleans police department,
the glutathione and the melatonin come on to
546
00:31:03,140 --> 00:31:07,700
Bourbon Street, handcuff themselves to those
reactive oxygen species, and get them off of
547
00:31:07,700 --> 00:31:08,259
Bourbon Street.
548
00:31:08,625 --> 00:31:12,144
But what does the New Orleans Police Department
do when they get overwhelmed?
549
00:31:12,384 --> 00:31:16,384
They take those reactive oxygen species, and
they put them in a paddy wagon.
550
00:31:16,464 --> 00:31:21,505
They attach them to the exterior of the ESSA 60
molecule so they can't run around and do
551
00:31:21,505 --> 00:31:21,825
damage.
552
00:31:22,259 --> 00:31:27,460
And then when the New Orleans Police Department
can replenish the glutathione, replenish the
553
00:31:27,460 --> 00:31:32,420
melatonin, then they can handcuff themselves to
those reactive oxygen species and get them off
554
00:31:32,420 --> 00:31:33,380
of Bourbon Street.
555
00:31:33,380 --> 00:31:39,674
And so that's why we say that the ESS 60
molecule is the boss buffering oxidative stress
556
00:31:39,674 --> 00:31:40,474
system.
557
00:31:41,115 --> 00:31:45,595
Now if we're reducing the negative impact of
stress mitochondria, given that there are
558
00:31:45,595 --> 00:31:50,474
between fifty and five thousand mitochondria in
every cell in your body, except for your blood
559
00:31:50,474 --> 00:31:54,609
cells, they actually don't have any
mitochondria, and your brain and neurons have
560
00:31:54,609 --> 00:31:55,890
2,000,000.
561
00:31:56,609 --> 00:32:01,809
It is amazing how much energy our nervous
system uses relative to all of our other
562
00:32:01,809 --> 00:32:02,529
systems.
563
00:32:02,930 --> 00:32:08,305
If you're reducing the negative impact of
stress mitochondria, you should have systemic
564
00:32:08,305 --> 00:32:09,025
benefits.
565
00:32:09,025 --> 00:32:11,904
You should have what we have, which are head to
toe testimonials.
566
00:32:14,625 --> 00:32:16,865
Blood cells don't have mitochondria.
567
00:32:17,585 --> 00:32:20,865
I thought every cell in the human body had a
mitochondria.
568
00:32:20,865 --> 00:32:21,744
Not blood cells.
569
00:32:23,329 --> 00:32:27,649
I feel like my education has been I'll tell
you.
570
00:32:27,570 --> 00:32:28,369
Compromised.
571
00:32:28,769 --> 00:32:33,970
The the research on mitochondria, like, we we
feel like there's so many systems in our body,
572
00:32:33,970 --> 00:32:35,970
right, that that that we kind of feel like we
know.
573
00:32:36,595 --> 00:32:38,355
I actually heard I forget what book.
574
00:32:38,355 --> 00:32:39,954
I'm always listening to health books.
575
00:32:40,115 --> 00:32:46,034
And there is this kind of principle, a two body
principle, which is if you have this is in in
576
00:32:46,034 --> 00:32:46,674
in space.
577
00:32:46,674 --> 00:32:46,835
Right?
578
00:32:46,835 --> 00:32:51,170
So you have the sun and the Earth, and we can
predict what happens with the sun and the As
579
00:32:51,170 --> 00:32:56,929
soon as we add a third body, our ability to
predict is dramatically ruined.
580
00:32:57,009 --> 00:32:57,250
Right?
581
00:32:57,250 --> 00:33:01,329
Like, we really can't predict the exact space
of these because of the way they interact.
582
00:33:01,410 --> 00:33:02,690
That's only with three.
583
00:33:02,849 --> 00:33:08,654
Think about how many systems are interacting
with each other in our body, right, so our
584
00:33:08,654 --> 00:33:09,855
ability to understand these.
585
00:33:09,855 --> 00:33:15,774
So when I was doing research for the book on
mitochondria, I found multiple places that say,
586
00:33:15,855 --> 00:33:20,569
okay, the rods and cones in our eyes have an
increased amount of mitochondria.
587
00:33:20,569 --> 00:33:21,289
We use it.
588
00:33:21,289 --> 00:33:22,089
It takes energy.
589
00:33:22,089 --> 00:33:22,650
There's photon.
590
00:33:22,650 --> 00:33:23,690
Like, this kind of makes sense.
591
00:33:23,690 --> 00:33:24,089
Like, hey.
592
00:33:24,089 --> 00:33:25,529
It's more than a heart cell.
593
00:33:25,929 --> 00:33:26,329
Mhmm.
594
00:33:26,329 --> 00:33:26,889
Right?
595
00:33:26,890 --> 00:33:29,450
And so but I couldn't find the number.
596
00:33:29,769 --> 00:33:34,335
Like, digging in, rolling up my sleeves, and
finding the research, yes, they we all know,
597
00:33:34,335 --> 00:33:39,295
like collectively, the scientific community
knows, there are more mitochondria in the rods
598
00:33:39,295 --> 00:33:41,775
and cones in your eyes, but there was no
number.
599
00:33:42,255 --> 00:33:42,815
Right?
600
00:33:42,815 --> 00:33:45,855
This is kind of how new this this arena is.
601
00:33:46,015 --> 00:33:50,899
And, yeah, to to not know that, you know, your
blood cells don't have any like, I honestly, I
602
00:33:50,899 --> 00:33:54,019
I didn't know until I started kind of piecing
together this theory.
603
00:33:55,299 --> 00:33:55,859
Wow.
604
00:33:55,859 --> 00:33:56,259
Okay.
605
00:33:56,259 --> 00:34:02,579
So, yes, let's move on to menopause because I
know you have a very specific menopause
606
00:34:02,015 --> 00:34:02,894
product.
607
00:34:03,375 --> 00:34:12,094
And let's talk about how this this ES s 60
molecule relates to menopause, which is kind of
608
00:34:12,094 --> 00:34:13,215
the topic of the moment.
609
00:34:13,215 --> 00:34:13,614
Right?
610
00:34:13,614 --> 00:34:13,934
Yeah.
611
00:34:14,250 --> 00:34:15,210
Well, yeah.
612
00:34:15,210 --> 00:34:19,449
And I on my podcast, if you had told me when I
started my podcast, I would, you know, have
613
00:34:19,449 --> 00:34:22,730
done 10 menopause conversations, it's and it
may even be more.
614
00:34:22,809 --> 00:34:23,769
I probably would have said, yeah.
615
00:34:23,769 --> 00:34:25,050
I don't know that that's gonna happen.
616
00:34:25,050 --> 00:34:25,530
Sure enough.
617
00:34:25,530 --> 00:34:25,929
It has.
618
00:34:25,929 --> 00:34:31,704
And it's a very interesting topic, I think,
women obviously want to understand it because
619
00:34:31,704 --> 00:34:33,304
it's something that directly affects them.
620
00:34:33,304 --> 00:34:40,424
And I think men should understand it because
usually it adjacently affects them, to to a
621
00:34:40,424 --> 00:34:40,824
great degree.
622
00:34:41,139 --> 00:34:42,980
And and by the way, so we have this bottle.
623
00:34:42,980 --> 00:34:44,900
It says menopause support on it.
624
00:34:45,059 --> 00:34:47,859
My wife made me make this label.
625
00:34:47,859 --> 00:34:53,139
This label is really on the same regular
product, which is a high quality extra virgin
626
00:34:53,139 --> 00:34:53,619
olive oil.
627
00:34:53,619 --> 00:34:59,574
So this is this is our our our product is two
natural ingredients, a high quality extra
628
00:34:59,574 --> 00:35:03,815
virgin olive oil and as much of that ES60
molecule as we can get to dissolve in it.
629
00:35:03,815 --> 00:35:09,335
And then my wife said, you need to put
menopause support on that same bottle because
630
00:35:09,335 --> 00:35:15,450
she went through early onset menopause and this
had a dramatic impact on her symptoms.
631
00:35:15,450 --> 00:35:19,849
In fact, one of the clinical trials that we're
going to start is on frequent and severe
632
00:35:19,849 --> 00:35:22,970
headaches, and she was getting nine per month.
633
00:35:23,289 --> 00:35:24,650
Well, nine plus.
634
00:35:24,570 --> 00:35:29,105
I remember the number nine the medication she
was taking, they would only give her nine and
635
00:35:29,264 --> 00:35:33,264
so she would have to suffer through, like, the
other four she would get.
636
00:35:33,264 --> 00:35:34,625
She was getting about 13.
637
00:35:35,025 --> 00:35:38,545
I am actually the geeky guy that you see in
front of you.
638
00:35:38,545 --> 00:35:44,110
I have a spreadsheet back to 2014 tracking my
four to five severe headaches.
639
00:35:44,110 --> 00:35:46,910
I have to be very careful about the terminology
that I have.
640
00:35:47,150 --> 00:35:55,469
These are the kind of headaches that would make
me go to a cold, dark, silent room just to
641
00:35:55,469 --> 00:35:56,269
recover from these.
642
00:35:56,269 --> 00:35:56,670
Right?
643
00:35:56,670 --> 00:36:01,815
So I was tracking my four to five per year
mostly because I'm trying to figure out, like,
644
00:36:01,815 --> 00:36:05,175
what's causing them, I I I don't ever wanna
experience it again.
645
00:36:05,574 --> 00:36:12,480
When I started taking this formula in 2018, I
went eighteen months without a single severe
646
00:36:12,480 --> 00:36:13,199
headache.
647
00:36:14,000 --> 00:36:21,360
Ironically, I went off the product to join our
sleep study, and when I did that, I got my
648
00:36:21,360 --> 00:36:23,280
first severe headache in a very long time.
649
00:36:25,175 --> 00:36:30,855
So I should have had, at this point, six or
seven of them, and just had my first one.
650
00:36:30,855 --> 00:36:32,535
I'm always transparent.
651
00:36:32,614 --> 00:36:34,855
I do get one or two per year.
652
00:36:34,855 --> 00:36:37,655
They usually start with an aura in my
peripheral vision.
653
00:36:37,655 --> 00:36:39,449
I don't know if you've had these types of
headaches.
654
00:36:39,449 --> 00:36:40,010
Mhmm.
655
00:36:40,329 --> 00:36:45,849
And then a sliver of my vision will look like a
kaleidoscope, go into the middle of my vision,
656
00:36:45,849 --> 00:36:46,969
and then go away.
657
00:36:46,969 --> 00:36:48,410
I can work through them now.
658
00:36:48,570 --> 00:36:48,809
Right?
659
00:36:48,809 --> 00:36:52,650
Like, literally now I don't know if you've ever
tried to read through a kaleidoscope.
660
00:36:52,650 --> 00:36:53,369
It's not easy.
661
00:36:53,724 --> 00:37:03,324
Anytime I've tried it, it's too painful, but I
don't have to go to the cold, dark, quiet room.
662
00:37:03,565 --> 00:37:05,964
I just go through it.
663
00:37:05,964 --> 00:37:07,324
It takes about fifteen minutes.
664
00:37:07,324 --> 00:37:11,800
So that's a dramatic impact, and that's one of
the impacts for my wife.
665
00:37:11,800 --> 00:37:18,760
She went from this nine plus per month down to
one or two every other month, so a dramatic
666
00:37:18,760 --> 00:37:19,000
impact.
667
00:37:20,945 --> 00:37:22,224
And why might that be?
668
00:37:22,224 --> 00:37:23,744
So there's a couple things going on.
669
00:37:23,744 --> 00:37:29,505
So one is people you know, I get on podcasts
and we're like, well, might this help with the
670
00:37:29,505 --> 00:37:29,905
liver?
671
00:37:29,905 --> 00:37:34,864
Well, first off, there's a particular piece of
the study that talks about the liver.
672
00:37:34,864 --> 00:37:40,400
So in that original study where the rats live
90% longer than the control group, they had a
673
00:37:40,400 --> 00:37:45,840
separate set of rats, and the rats were these
small group of rats were given water as a
674
00:37:45,840 --> 00:37:50,480
control group, olive oil, as a semi controlled
group, and then olive oil with ESS sixty.
675
00:37:50,804 --> 00:37:53,444
They injected these rats with carbon
tetrachloride.
676
00:37:53,444 --> 00:37:59,045
Now this is an oxidative agent, that causes
stress to the liver, oxidative stress to the
677
00:37:59,045 --> 00:37:59,525
liver.
678
00:37:59,925 --> 00:38:05,179
Twenty four hours after the injection, they
euthanized the the rats and looked at their
679
00:38:05,179 --> 00:38:05,820
livers.
680
00:38:05,900 --> 00:38:10,059
The livers of the water rats had no recovery
because that's normally what happens.
681
00:38:10,059 --> 00:38:12,460
The olive rats had a little bit of recovery.
682
00:38:12,460 --> 00:38:17,019
By the way, olive oil whatever olive oil you're
consuming, you probably should be consuming
683
00:38:17,019 --> 00:38:17,339
more.
684
00:38:17,339 --> 00:38:18,699
It is incredibly healthy for you.
685
00:38:19,574 --> 00:38:23,494
But the olive oil with the ESS 60, they almost
completely recovered.
686
00:38:23,494 --> 00:38:23,894
Right?
687
00:38:23,894 --> 00:38:25,574
So that's in the liver.
688
00:38:25,974 --> 00:38:31,175
But when people are like, oh, liver or kidney
or whatever, I just ask the question, is there
689
00:38:31,175 --> 00:38:32,695
mitochondria there?
690
00:38:32,695 --> 00:38:35,880
And the answer is always yes, unless it's
blood.
691
00:38:37,000 --> 00:38:42,920
So will reducing the negative impact of stress
mitochondria have a positive impact there?
692
00:38:43,159 --> 00:38:44,119
And the answer is yes.
693
00:38:44,280 --> 00:38:49,255
Also, mitochondria are responsible for the
production of pregnalone, which is the
694
00:38:49,255 --> 00:38:55,894
precursor to all of the sex well, to the key
sex hormones like estrogen and testosterone.
695
00:38:57,014 --> 00:39:02,454
So, you know, to have more efficient production
from the mitochondria is gonna be good for you
696
00:39:02,454 --> 00:39:02,934
overall.
697
00:39:05,309 --> 00:39:12,030
So if your product only has two ingredients,
the olive oil and the molecule, why is it
698
00:39:12,030 --> 00:39:13,390
called MyVital C?
699
00:39:13,390 --> 00:39:14,989
There's no vitamin C in it.
700
00:39:14,989 --> 00:39:16,349
That's a great question.
701
00:39:16,510 --> 00:39:20,605
When I came up with the name, I thought that
there might be potential.
702
00:39:20,605 --> 00:39:25,244
Nobody knew about the brand originally, and I
thought there might be some potential for
703
00:39:25,244 --> 00:39:26,045
confusion.
704
00:39:26,924 --> 00:39:31,484
And I was okay with it because there are zero
doubts that it's healthy.
705
00:39:31,969 --> 00:39:32,449
Right?
706
00:39:32,449 --> 00:39:37,489
So if you say, oh, that might be vitamin c, you
don't have any doubts that it's healthy.
707
00:39:37,489 --> 00:39:39,730
And by the way, the c is for carbon.
708
00:39:40,849 --> 00:39:43,489
Ah, c for carbon, not vitamin c?
709
00:39:43,489 --> 00:39:43,889
Yes.
710
00:39:44,694 --> 00:39:53,094
Ah, so just FYI, I did have, a pretty big fight
during the pandemic about the benefits of
711
00:39:53,094 --> 00:39:57,414
vitamin C with some people in the medical
community who were telling me that it was not
712
00:39:57,414 --> 00:39:59,880
proven that vitamin C was healthy.
713
00:40:00,039 --> 00:40:03,079
So I don't know if everyone thinks vitamin C is
healthy.
714
00:40:03,079 --> 00:40:06,440
I certainly do, and I think Landis Pauling was
an amazing person.
715
00:40:06,760 --> 00:40:11,719
But but I don't know if it's universal in the
in the medical community.
716
00:40:12,234 --> 00:40:18,875
Well, I think my understanding is that it is,
but when you start talking about Linus Pauling,
717
00:40:18,875 --> 00:40:25,114
you're talking about massive doses of vitamin
c, and that can have some detrimental impacts
718
00:40:25,114 --> 00:40:25,835
in some cases.
719
00:40:25,835 --> 00:40:31,549
So for instance, if you're undergoing
chemotherapy, massive doses of antioxidants can
720
00:40:31,549 --> 00:40:34,269
actually interfere with the the chemotherapy.
721
00:40:34,349 --> 00:40:35,949
Now you're like, wait a minute.
722
00:40:35,949 --> 00:40:38,909
This this ES60 molecule is an antioxidant.
723
00:40:39,069 --> 00:40:45,514
It's a selective antioxidant, meaning it
attaches to the negatively charged particles.
724
00:40:45,514 --> 00:40:49,355
So out of these mitochondria, you have these
reactive oxygen species, but you have
725
00:40:49,355 --> 00:40:53,195
positively charged ones and negatively charged
reactive oxygen species.
726
00:40:53,799 --> 00:40:59,719
It turns out the positively charged reactive
oxygen species are good and important for
727
00:40:59,719 --> 00:41:02,599
signaling and don't do much damage.
728
00:41:02,920 --> 00:41:07,799
The negatively charged ones are not necessary
for signaling and do the damage.
729
00:41:08,135 --> 00:41:12,775
And so because we're a selective antioxidant
grabbing onto the negatively charged reactive
730
00:41:12,775 --> 00:41:20,295
oxygen species, we don't have the interference
pattern that classic antioxidants do, but we
731
00:41:20,295 --> 00:41:20,934
have the benefit.
732
00:41:22,809 --> 00:41:23,369
Okay.
733
00:41:24,730 --> 00:41:25,369
Great.
734
00:41:25,369 --> 00:41:31,690
So how long has ESS sixty been available for
regular people to consume?
735
00:41:31,929 --> 00:41:36,809
I would say, I mean, there were some companies
that were smarter than us and started selling
736
00:41:36,809 --> 00:41:40,845
this product, you know, as early as 2013.
737
00:41:41,644 --> 00:41:44,525
In fact, one of them, we ended up buying that
company.
738
00:41:45,244 --> 00:41:49,164
He wanted to kind of exit out and, kind of
interestingly go work in a gold mine.
739
00:41:49,164 --> 00:41:51,910
He bought a gold mine, and now we're working in
a gold mine.
740
00:41:51,910 --> 00:41:55,430
We get when we when we bought the company from
him, we were like, we will buy the company from
741
00:41:55,430 --> 00:41:59,110
you, but we want to come visit your gold mine
because I'd never been to a gold mine.
742
00:41:59,110 --> 00:42:01,270
So that was kind of a cool experiment.
743
00:42:01,590 --> 00:42:05,875
We started really bringing this to the market
in 2018.
744
00:42:05,875 --> 00:42:11,234
So it was really biohackers, cutting edge
biohackers, that biohacking community,
745
00:42:11,635 --> 00:42:14,835
longevity community that were driving the
industry early.
746
00:42:15,155 --> 00:42:19,890
And then now, you as the oldest and longest
manufacturer and distributor of the molecule on
747
00:42:19,890 --> 00:42:26,769
the planet, it's really kind of kind of fallen
upon me, to continue to expand the awareness of
748
00:42:26,769 --> 00:42:29,329
of this molecule to to the general population.
749
00:42:30,815 --> 00:42:36,175
What have you heard anecdotally from the
biohacking community who've been using this?
750
00:42:36,335 --> 00:42:38,014
Well, I'll tell you this.
751
00:42:38,974 --> 00:42:45,859
I'll fold it into this because, a lot of people
wonder, like, what how long might it take me to
752
00:42:45,859 --> 00:42:47,859
experience something, on the product?
753
00:42:48,179 --> 00:42:54,019
And we think of it in terms of, like, a three
month time frame, where month one is focus and
754
00:42:54,019 --> 00:42:54,339
energy.
755
00:42:54,339 --> 00:42:58,324
It has parallels with our most consistent
testimonial of taking it in the morning, mental
756
00:42:58,324 --> 00:43:01,204
focus and energy during the day, and then
better sleep that night.
757
00:43:01,684 --> 00:43:03,525
So month one is focus and energy.
758
00:43:03,925 --> 00:43:09,125
And, we really kind of land on focus and energy
because, well, one, because we experience it.
759
00:43:09,125 --> 00:43:10,405
But two, I got this testimony.
760
00:43:10,405 --> 00:43:11,844
I got some product to an influencer.
761
00:43:12,200 --> 00:43:16,519
She took the product in the morning, sent in
her video that evening, and in the video, she
762
00:43:16,519 --> 00:43:19,000
pointed out that she didn't finish her cup of
coffee.
763
00:43:19,240 --> 00:43:21,160
Now I don't know if you're a coffee drinker.
764
00:43:21,160 --> 00:43:24,440
I used to be a two to three cup of day of
coffee per day person.
765
00:43:24,785 --> 00:43:25,744
Now I'm down to one.
766
00:43:25,744 --> 00:43:27,505
It's more about the ritual, the smell.
767
00:43:27,505 --> 00:43:31,025
I went down the coffee aisle at the grocery
store, I was like, this is the most amazing
768
00:43:31,025 --> 00:43:31,664
smell.
769
00:43:31,664 --> 00:43:33,265
Like, just the coffee aisle.
770
00:43:33,985 --> 00:43:35,905
So it's more about the ritual for me.
771
00:43:35,985 --> 00:43:40,369
An important piece, like, if you notice you
didn't finish your cup of coffee, what that
772
00:43:40,369 --> 00:43:44,449
means is you always finish your cup of coffee,
and so she didn't finish.
773
00:43:44,449 --> 00:43:46,289
So focus and energy is month one.
774
00:43:46,849 --> 00:43:50,450
Month two is we we really kind of say is deep
sleep.
775
00:43:51,010 --> 00:43:56,094
I do believe better sleep is happening in one
month one and supporting that focus and energy.
776
00:43:56,414 --> 00:44:00,175
But the reality is everybody gets a little bit
more or less sleep every day.
777
00:44:00,175 --> 00:44:00,414
Right?
778
00:44:00,414 --> 00:44:03,375
So an extra hour here, an hour less there.
779
00:44:03,454 --> 00:44:08,590
And so it can be really hard to go, oh, when I
started taking my Vital C, it all collectively
780
00:44:08,590 --> 00:44:09,230
got better.
781
00:44:09,230 --> 00:44:13,309
Because I've been taking it for years now, I
still get a little bit more sleep some nights,
782
00:44:13,309 --> 00:44:15,230
a little bit less sleep other nights.
783
00:44:16,269 --> 00:44:18,670
I will share my business coach put it this way.
784
00:44:18,750 --> 00:44:21,150
For fifty years, he needed an alarm clock.
785
00:44:21,150 --> 00:44:24,644
When he started taking this product, he wakes
up before the alarm clock.
786
00:44:24,885 --> 00:44:27,924
Now he's a business coach, so there's late
night mixers.
787
00:44:27,924 --> 00:44:29,445
There's late night dinners.
788
00:44:29,525 --> 00:44:34,210
None of that matters, except if he doesn't get
the product for about ten days, then he starts
789
00:44:34,210 --> 00:44:35,329
to need the alarm clock.
790
00:44:35,329 --> 00:44:40,289
And that coincides with the data where we
believe this molecule and the data shows this
791
00:44:40,289 --> 00:44:42,930
molecule is clearing out of your system in
about ten days.
792
00:44:42,930 --> 00:44:44,289
So that's also good to know.
793
00:44:45,735 --> 00:44:50,614
And then finally, on month three, if you think
about reducing the negative impact of stress
794
00:44:50,614 --> 00:44:56,695
mitochondria, the systemic benefits, really we
have testimonials so powerful in month three
795
00:44:56,695 --> 00:44:59,894
that we have to do research in order to be able
to talk about them.
796
00:45:00,210 --> 00:45:03,250
And that's what's driving our four clinical
trials.
797
00:45:03,250 --> 00:45:06,050
So I've already mentioned one, frequent and
severe headaches.
798
00:45:06,050 --> 00:45:07,650
That's already up and running.
799
00:45:07,889 --> 00:45:10,050
The next one is HSCRP.
800
00:45:10,210 --> 00:45:13,010
That stands for high sensitivity c reactive
protein.
801
00:45:13,715 --> 00:45:17,474
It's an inflammatory, so we've to be careful
talking about inflammation, right, with the
802
00:45:17,474 --> 00:45:17,795
FDA?
803
00:45:17,795 --> 00:45:18,275
Right.
804
00:45:18,434 --> 00:45:21,074
And I'm sure you know about AHS ERP.
805
00:45:21,074 --> 00:45:25,074
It's an inflammatory marker typically
associated with cardiovascular disease and
806
00:45:25,074 --> 00:45:25,394
cancers.
807
00:45:26,049 --> 00:45:30,369
The reason that we're doing that particular
study is I had a conversation with a
808
00:45:30,369 --> 00:45:31,010
practitioner.
809
00:45:31,010 --> 00:45:34,130
He said in his patient pool he actually said
this.
810
00:45:34,130 --> 00:45:39,010
We were at A four ms in Las Vegas, the American
Academy of Anti Aging.
811
00:45:39,574 --> 00:45:42,534
And he shared this and was like, hey, Doctor.
812
00:45:42,534 --> 00:45:46,454
Young, I need you to say it again and record it
so I know what he said.
813
00:45:46,454 --> 00:45:49,815
He said, Chris, I don't care if you're male,
female, pre surgery, post surgery,
814
00:45:49,815 --> 00:45:55,650
cardiovascular disease or otherwise healthy,
your product is reducing elevated HSCRPs.
815
00:45:55,650 --> 00:46:00,769
And he gave the example of nine down to point
nine in four to eight weeks.
816
00:46:01,170 --> 00:46:03,329
Additionally and I'll talk about how severe
that is.
817
00:46:03,329 --> 00:46:04,130
You I'm sure you know.
818
00:46:05,105 --> 00:46:11,344
Additionally, we're seeing 20 to 60%
improvements in sleep and HRV when people are
819
00:46:11,344 --> 00:46:12,224
on the product.
820
00:46:12,864 --> 00:46:17,940
And he finished by saying, we just think it's
something we should have in the break room for
821
00:46:17,940 --> 00:46:19,139
all of the employees.
822
00:46:19,139 --> 00:46:20,500
That's pretty powerful.
823
00:46:20,659 --> 00:46:25,139
By the way, HSCRP of nine, I had a conversation
with an oncologist after that and he said if
824
00:46:25,139 --> 00:46:29,940
you have an HSCRP of nine, we assume you have
cancer until we prove otherwise.
825
00:46:30,019 --> 00:46:33,914
So to take that down to 0.9 is pretty
impressive.
826
00:46:33,914 --> 00:46:35,755
So we're doing a HSCRP study.
827
00:46:35,994 --> 00:46:38,235
We're doing a more formalized sleep study.
828
00:46:38,235 --> 00:46:41,914
So we already actually have two small sleep
studies under our belt.
829
00:46:43,275 --> 00:46:48,489
They are small cohorts, but the most important
part of those studies is one hundred percent of
830
00:46:48,489 --> 00:46:52,329
participants reported improvements in sleep
when they were on the product.
831
00:46:52,329 --> 00:46:56,329
So we just want a more formalized version so
that we'll have proper data that we can
832
00:46:56,329 --> 00:46:58,089
actually write a paper about.
833
00:46:58,944 --> 00:47:01,824
And then finally, we do have a two part
cosmetic.
834
00:47:01,824 --> 00:47:04,784
I never really wanted to be in the supplement
industry.
835
00:47:04,784 --> 00:47:05,905
I think I shared that.
836
00:47:05,905 --> 00:47:09,664
And when one of our business partners was like,
We should do a cosmetic, I was like, Yay, that
837
00:47:09,664 --> 00:47:10,545
sounds amazing.
838
00:47:10,545 --> 00:47:11,905
I always wanted to do that.
839
00:47:12,309 --> 00:47:14,230
But we ended up creating a two part.
840
00:47:14,230 --> 00:47:19,670
So this is a peptide called UTH29, which stands
for youth twenty nine.
841
00:47:20,549 --> 00:47:24,230
So it's a peptide and then their ESS60
activator.
842
00:47:24,230 --> 00:47:29,515
Now they're two containers and the reason they
are is because the peptide is water soluble,
843
00:47:29,515 --> 00:47:32,235
the ESS-sixty molecule is oil soluble.
844
00:47:32,315 --> 00:47:36,555
We could have shoved these two together with an
emulsifier, but I don't like how an emulsifier
845
00:47:36,555 --> 00:47:37,114
sounds.
846
00:47:37,114 --> 00:47:38,954
There are no health benefits of emulsifiers.
847
00:47:38,954 --> 00:47:42,849
You want to use as few as possible, so we kept
them separate.
848
00:47:42,929 --> 00:47:47,170
We're getting such amazing testimonials about
this ReDuo set.
849
00:47:47,650 --> 00:47:52,610
By the way, each molecule well, the UTH29
molecule has thirty years of skin and hair
850
00:47:52,610 --> 00:47:54,530
improvements in peer reviewed published
research.
851
00:47:55,265 --> 00:48:00,065
The ASS 60 molecule has some good research out
of Japan, showing improvements in skin and
852
00:48:00,065 --> 00:48:00,545
hair.
853
00:48:00,545 --> 00:48:05,585
So based on that and the testimonials, we're
doing a wrinkle and age spot study.
854
00:48:05,664 --> 00:48:09,265
Those are the four trials that we're, we should
be starting before the end of the year.
855
00:48:10,550 --> 00:48:14,390
Have you come across any contraindications, any
signs of toxicity?
856
00:48:14,469 --> 00:48:16,150
That's that's a great question.
857
00:48:16,309 --> 00:48:20,230
You know, first people ask about medications
and they'll ask about other supplements.
858
00:48:20,230 --> 00:48:25,045
There is no research that I'm aware of and no
even kind of people coming back to us and
859
00:48:25,045 --> 00:48:28,325
sharing anything that there's some
contraindications.
860
00:48:28,485 --> 00:48:34,724
When it comes to potential toxicity, really,
believe that it's associated with the same
861
00:48:34,724 --> 00:48:38,219
toxicity of olive oil, which I kind of joke
involves drowning.
862
00:48:39,019 --> 00:48:41,260
Like like, I mean, here's the reality.
863
00:48:41,420 --> 00:48:44,699
If you consume enough olive oil, you're bot
you'll just throw it up.
864
00:48:44,860 --> 00:48:45,260
Right?
865
00:48:45,260 --> 00:48:46,699
It actually isn't gonna do damage.
866
00:48:46,699 --> 00:48:51,105
I don't even know if that counts as toxicity
because it's not you know, like, water is more
867
00:48:51,105 --> 00:48:51,744
dangerous.
868
00:48:51,744 --> 00:48:56,704
Like, if you drink water fast enough, enough
water fast enough, you can cause hyperhidrosis
869
00:48:56,704 --> 00:48:57,585
and die.
870
00:48:57,985 --> 00:49:03,025
Olive oil would just start throwing it up, as
unpleasant as that would be, is is not.
871
00:49:03,025 --> 00:49:03,905
Now there is another.
872
00:49:04,579 --> 00:49:09,699
The typical serving is one teaspoon of this
high quality extra virgin olive oil and as much
873
00:49:09,699 --> 00:49:12,659
of that ESS 60 molecule as we can get to
dissolve in it.
874
00:49:12,900 --> 00:49:17,380
By the way, it is a high quality extra virgin
olive oil, so it will leave a peppery flavor at
875
00:49:17,380 --> 00:49:18,340
the back of your throat.
876
00:49:18,340 --> 00:49:21,505
That's a sign that it's a high quality olive
oil.
877
00:49:21,585 --> 00:49:26,385
If you're not used to consuming oil and you add
a teaspoon, you might get some loose stool for
878
00:49:26,385 --> 00:49:26,945
a while.
879
00:49:27,344 --> 00:49:31,105
You know, Dave Asprey calls has a thing called
disaster pants.
880
00:49:31,480 --> 00:49:33,640
That is that is not what's happening.
881
00:49:35,640 --> 00:49:40,039
It is just a a little bit of loose stool for a
day or two, and then your system gets
882
00:49:40,039 --> 00:49:41,640
acclimated to it.
883
00:49:42,840 --> 00:49:44,199
So how do you take it?
884
00:49:44,199 --> 00:49:47,885
Do you take a teaspoonful just plain?
885
00:49:48,125 --> 00:49:48,925
Yes.
886
00:49:49,085 --> 00:49:49,565
I do.
887
00:49:49,565 --> 00:49:54,844
We if you really don't like the taste of olive
oil, we do have gel caps.
888
00:49:55,005 --> 00:49:57,565
Remember, a teaspoon is quite a bit of oil.
889
00:49:57,565 --> 00:49:57,804
Right?
890
00:49:57,804 --> 00:49:59,085
It's not it's not a large amount.
891
00:49:59,085 --> 00:50:00,204
It's not a small amount.
892
00:50:00,204 --> 00:50:03,780
So in terms of gel caps, they're not huge gel
caps.
893
00:50:03,780 --> 00:50:04,900
They're not tiny gel caps.
894
00:50:04,900 --> 00:50:07,619
So it takes about six to get to one teaspoon.
895
00:50:08,099 --> 00:50:11,460
And so that's like three we recommend that you
take three in the morning, three in the
896
00:50:11,460 --> 00:50:11,780
afternoon.
897
00:50:11,780 --> 00:50:15,875
Know, a lot of biohackers like another six
doesn't even doesn't even faze me.
898
00:50:16,114 --> 00:50:17,074
I like the taste.
899
00:50:17,074 --> 00:50:19,875
I've grown to like love the taste of olive oil.
900
00:50:20,594 --> 00:50:24,755
And if you take it and you don't really like
it, I mean, you could drizzle it on bread or
901
00:50:24,755 --> 00:50:28,079
anything else and a sip of water and it's gone.
902
00:50:28,079 --> 00:50:28,319
Right?
903
00:50:28,319 --> 00:50:32,880
It's just it's not a a sticky flavor that
you're like, oh, I don't like it, now I'm
904
00:50:32,880 --> 00:50:35,679
burping it up for the next day or whatever.
905
00:50:35,679 --> 00:50:36,239
No.
906
00:50:36,239 --> 00:50:38,159
It's it's pretty easy to manage.
907
00:50:38,239 --> 00:50:40,400
Not quite like a fish oil.
908
00:50:40,480 --> 00:50:40,880
Correct.
909
00:50:42,375 --> 00:50:44,855
You can feel a fish oil a while later.
910
00:50:44,855 --> 00:50:45,335
Yeah.
911
00:50:45,414 --> 00:50:48,295
And taste it and burp it and all of those
things.
912
00:50:48,295 --> 00:50:48,614
Yes.
913
00:50:48,614 --> 00:50:49,175
Yep.
914
00:50:49,574 --> 00:50:53,015
It is one of my least favorite flavors, I have
to say.
915
00:50:53,175 --> 00:50:53,414
Yes.
916
00:50:54,199 --> 00:50:57,880
Maybe rather eat a sardine than take a teaspoon
of fish oil.
917
00:50:57,880 --> 00:50:58,599
Very much so.
918
00:50:58,599 --> 00:51:00,280
I'd much rather eat a sardine.
919
00:51:00,440 --> 00:51:00,759
Yeah.
920
00:51:00,759 --> 00:51:04,440
So what have we not talked about that you wanna
make sure people know?
921
00:51:05,400 --> 00:51:09,094
I think I think we've covered a a whole lot of
stuff here.
922
00:51:09,094 --> 00:51:11,175
It's, I'll put it this way.
923
00:51:11,175 --> 00:51:17,175
So I was fortunate that I I ended up running a
longevity summit called the, Unknown Secrets of
924
00:51:17,175 --> 00:51:22,639
Longevity Live Beyond the Norms and I got to
interview 55 experts in longevity including
925
00:51:22,639 --> 00:51:24,960
Dave Asprey, Ben Greenfield, Doctor.
926
00:51:24,960 --> 00:51:30,719
Stephen Gundry and I asked all of them what are
some tips or tricks, right?
927
00:51:31,734 --> 00:51:34,375
And and then I can pile the information.
928
00:51:34,775 --> 00:51:36,214
And this all boils down.
929
00:51:36,214 --> 00:51:40,054
Like, you were to ask me now as an expert in
longevity, what should I focus on?
930
00:51:40,135 --> 00:51:41,734
I'm not sure it would be our product.
931
00:51:41,734 --> 00:51:41,974
Right?
932
00:51:41,974 --> 00:51:48,559
I think it would be sleep, nutrition, movement,
and all of this takes mindset.
933
00:51:48,559 --> 00:51:53,119
Like, I I I it took me a while to piece this
together, but the most important thing is your
934
00:51:53,119 --> 00:51:55,599
mindset, and you gotta figure out how to work
on your mindset.
935
00:51:55,599 --> 00:52:00,625
Because if you know, you need to put your
device down so you're not doom scrolling before
936
00:52:00,625 --> 00:52:04,945
you go to sleep and you don't have the mindset
to make that change, it's not gonna happen.
937
00:52:04,945 --> 00:52:08,625
If you know you need to put the Twinkie down
and you don't have the mindset to make that
938
00:52:08,625 --> 00:52:10,065
change, it's not gonna happen.
939
00:52:10,305 --> 00:52:15,489
If you know you need to move more or move at
all, alright, or move more vigorously.
940
00:52:15,489 --> 00:52:18,849
I actually love the statement, movement is
life.
941
00:52:19,329 --> 00:52:21,250
Tough movement is freedom.
942
00:52:21,569 --> 00:52:21,969
Right?
943
00:52:21,969 --> 00:52:25,090
So the tougher you're moving, the more freedom
you will have.
944
00:52:25,969 --> 00:52:30,954
If you know you need to do that and you don't
have the mindset to do that, then it's not it's
945
00:52:30,954 --> 00:52:31,914
not gonna change.
946
00:52:31,994 --> 00:52:38,954
And I will add with our product and the boss
theory, the implications on the mitochondria
947
00:52:38,954 --> 00:52:44,480
and the fact that you have 2,000,000
mitochondria in every brain cell, I think it
948
00:52:44,480 --> 00:52:48,559
can have a positive impact helping you to get
your mindset right.
949
00:52:48,559 --> 00:52:51,039
And we have there's one testimonial that I
love.
950
00:52:51,679 --> 00:52:54,079
I got some product to a lady in The UK.
951
00:52:54,079 --> 00:52:58,304
She sent in her video, and in the beginning of
the video, she shared that she was in the
952
00:52:58,304 --> 00:52:59,744
middle of quitting smoking.
953
00:53:00,065 --> 00:53:00,945
Now I don't know.
954
00:53:00,945 --> 00:53:04,784
My parents smoked when I grew up, and they quit
smoking many times.
955
00:53:04,784 --> 00:53:07,744
It sound you're nodding, so maybe that you had
this similar experience.
956
00:53:07,744 --> 00:53:09,505
It was never pleasant.
957
00:53:09,505 --> 00:53:13,449
Like, them quitting, like, quitting quitting
addiction is not an a pleasant affair.
958
00:53:13,530 --> 00:53:15,369
So I thought this video was gonna be horrible.
959
00:53:15,369 --> 00:53:19,530
She actually went on to give a good video, and
she said something that I'll never forget.
960
00:53:19,609 --> 00:53:24,329
She said she found herself having a longer fuse
with her toddler.
961
00:53:24,889 --> 00:53:29,514
Now I don't know if you've been around kids,
toddlers, maybe adults who act like toddlers.
962
00:53:29,914 --> 00:53:31,755
Some days you have longer fuse.
963
00:53:31,755 --> 00:53:33,194
Some days you have shorter fuse.
964
00:53:33,194 --> 00:53:37,434
She found she had a longer fuse with her
toddler, and I think that can speak to helping
965
00:53:37,434 --> 00:53:38,635
helping that mindset.
966
00:53:40,359 --> 00:53:46,599
That's a great, testimonial to hear because,
certainly, our patience is something that is
967
00:53:46,599 --> 00:53:49,800
running thin in this world and Oh, yeah.
968
00:53:49,960 --> 00:53:51,640
And making everything worse.
969
00:53:51,800 --> 00:53:52,519
Yeah.
970
00:53:52,840 --> 00:53:53,400
For sure.
971
00:53:54,775 --> 00:54:00,534
So where can people find you and learn more

I actually compiled 18 biohacking tips.
980
00:54:21,315 --> 00:54:24,034

The 40% discount is on six.
992
00:54:52,505 --> 00:54:55,465
The mindset there is it's a three month
experience.
993
00:54:55,704 --> 00:54:56,744
So you get these six.
994
00:54:56,744 --> 00:54:58,264
Maybe you keep three for yourself.
995
00:54:58,264 --> 00:55:02,869
Give three to somebody else who might need that
three month experience, or you could be selfish
996
00:55:02,869 --> 00:55:03,269
like me.
997
00:55:03,269 --> 00:55:04,309
I would keep all six.
998
00:55:04,550 --> 00:55:05,829
Feel free to do that.
999
00:55:06,309 --> 00:55:07,910

1001
00:55:12,230 --> 00:55:16,964
You will save additional money for the
subscription on by by going on the
1002
00:55:16,964 --> 00:55:17,684
subscription.
1003
00:55:17,764 --> 00:55:21,765
Even if you just wanna try one set, go ahead
and save that money.
1004
00:55:22,244 --> 00:55:23,684
You can cancel at any time.
1005
00:55:23,684 --> 00:55:27,844
Our customer service team has a thousand five
star reviews on Google.
1006
00:55:28,210 --> 00:55:30,769
They are not trained to talk you out of
canceling your subscription.
1007
00:55:30,769 --> 00:55:33,730
They're trained to trained to help you, and
they do an amazing job.
1008
00:55:33,890 --> 00:55:36,930
It just turns out most people don't cancel
their subscription.
1009
00:55:37,570 --> 00:55:40,050
And then one piece that I'm super proud of.
1010
00:55:40,130 --> 00:55:44,704
So the book, Live Longer and Better, your
journey to living longer and better has never
1011
00:55:44,704 --> 00:55:50,625
been more achievable than today, available on
Amazon for 1995, also available at that link
1012
00:55:50,625 --> 00:55:51,985
for 1995.
1013
00:55:52,144 --> 00:55:54,864
For 10 extra dollars, I will autograph the
book.
1014
00:55:55,760 --> 00:56:00,880
100% of that $10 fee goes to Operation
Underground Railroad.
1015
00:56:01,119 --> 00:56:05,679
You may remember, an amazing movie called The
Sound of Freedom, an amazing movie about a
1016
00:56:05,679 --> 00:56:08,000
horrible topic, which is child exploitation.
1017
00:56:08,319 --> 00:56:12,454
Operation Underground Railroad is who that
movie is about, and they're doing a great job
1018
00:56:12,454 --> 00:56:14,934
of getting child exploitation off of our
planet.
1019
00:56:14,934 --> 00:56:16,215
Should have never been here.
1020
00:56:16,215 --> 00:56:20,135
So a 100% of that signature fee goes to
Operation Underground Railroad.
1021
00:56:23,094 --> 00:56:23,655
Wow.
1022
00:56:23,655 --> 00:56:24,135
Okay.
1023
00:56:24,135 --> 00:56:24,775
That's great.
1024
00:56:25,349 --> 00:56:31,430
I don't even know I wanna say what came into my
head when you started talking about that, but I
1025
00:56:31,430 --> 00:56:34,230
think that is awesome that you are supporting
this movement.
1026
00:56:34,230 --> 00:56:40,824
And, certainly, it is something that we have
recently in our world been aware of of how
1027
00:56:40,824 --> 00:56:49,784
extensive that that kind of exploitation really
is and, even by the people we might respect and
1028
00:56:49,784 --> 00:56:53,339
and rise up the most.
1029
00:56:53,339 --> 00:56:54,139
So Yeah.
1030
00:56:54,219 --> 00:56:55,579
Thank you for doing that.
1031
00:56:55,980 --> 00:56:56,219
Yeah.
1032
00:56:56,219 --> 00:56:59,500
Anything else that we can share before we wrap
this up?
1033
00:56:59,739 --> 00:57:05,339
You can you can find me on social media, so I'm
constantly posting kinda cool biohacking tips,
1034
00:57:05,339 --> 00:57:07,339
wellness tips, health tips.
1035
00:57:08,074 --> 00:57:09,355
So you can find that.
1036
00:57:09,355 --> 00:57:13,275
Just search for MyVitalC and on any of the
platforms.
1037
00:57:14,394 --> 00:57:14,795
Great.
1038
00:57:14,795 --> 00:57:22,234
So just for anyone who's wondering, it's m y v
I t a l and the letter c, MyVitalC.
1039
00:57:22,980 --> 00:57:25,300
Chris, thank you so much for coming on today.
1040
00:57:25,300 --> 00:57:26,099
I really appreciate it.
1041
00:57:26,099 --> 00:57:30,739
I think this was very interesting and very
scientific, much more scientific than we
1042
00:57:30,739 --> 00:57:35,699
normally get into on this podcast, but I
thought the science was fantastic and very
1043
00:57:35,699 --> 00:57:36,420
accessible.
1044
00:57:36,420 --> 00:57:37,780
So thank you for making it so.
1045
00:57:38,375 --> 00:57:39,494
Excellent, Elizabeth.
1046
00:57:39,494 --> 00:57:40,614
Thank you for having me.
1047
00:57:43,335 --> 00:57:48,614
And that's another case filed on the
inflammation investigator.
1048
00:57:49,574 --> 00:57:54,059
Remember, every symptom is your body's way of
communicating.
1049
00:57:54,539 --> 00:57:56,300
We just need to learn the language.
1050
00:57:57,180 --> 00:58:01,740
If today's episode sparked something for you, I
want to hear about it.

1055
00:58:21,130 --> 00:58:23,449
And here's the thing about investigations.
1056
00:58:24,010 --> 00:58:26,410
They work best when you're not going it alone.
