ÜBER DIESE EPISODE
In this episode of Tech At The Table, Louisa Dickins and Zander Geronimos are joined by Eldar Sadikov, Co-Founder & CEO of Field Materials AI, to talk AI, entrepreneurship, construction technology and the lessons learned from building businesses from the ground up.
Eldar's journey into AI started long before the current boom. After studying statistical and machine learning models as a PhD candidate at Stanford, he left the programme to pursue entrepreneurship and co-founded Jetlore, an AI company for retail that was later acquired by PayPal in 2018. Today, he's bringing that experience into construction with Field Materials AI, an AI-native procurement platform using AI agents to automate manual procurement workflows for contractors.
Eldar shares the story behind Field Materials AI and why his own family background in construction ultimately brought his career full circle. The conversation explores the rise of Vertical AI, the potential for AI agents in construction procurement, how businesses and individuals need to adapt to a rapidly changing AI landscape, and why he believes enterprise applications are currently leading the way.
He also opens up about one of the hardest periods of his career: leaving Stanford, spending years pivoting his first company and learning to keep going when things weren't working - an experience that shaped his belief that failure can teach you far more than success.
