161. Taylor Made Us Pivot! The Encore, Its Reception, & the VMAs to Kick Off TL6

A few weeks ago, we recorded our Season Six premiere…so of course, Taylor had to come in and shake up our plans! Welcome BACK to Taylearning: A Taylor Swift Podcast for our SIXTH season! As a little treat to kick off the newest season, Taylor released a surprise deluxe edition of “The Life of a Showgirl” titled “The Encore.” In classic Taylearning fashion, your hosts pivoted and recorded this episode to act as our season opener! In this episode, Dani & Olivia give their first thoughts about all four tracks from The Encore, as well as some thoughts on the backlash surrounding its release. They also take a break mid-episode to watch the VMAs, then come back refreshed and ready to talk about what happened on the show! Welcome back to TL6…let’s see what Taylor has in store for us throughout this season!
