robert: Hey, how y'all doing today? What's going on? It's Sunday. Thanksgiving Sunday. We were doing our grocery shopping and you know, the superstore generally is a horrible place to go on a Sunday to do your shopping. Even worse on this long weekend. I did not have any patience whatsoever today. People were just blocking the aisles. They were like not moving and then giving you the look like, Hey, you wanna get by? What's your problem? So, yeah, it was a little frustrating, a little frustrating, but you know best of times, you know, best of times. Having a nice Thanksgiving. I usually don't celebrate it. I my my parents always did get the parents and the grandparents together. me, I'm not I'm not a big idea the whole idea of Thanksgiving kind of blows my mind. I mean it's a holiday that was introduced by Abraham Lincoln to unite the United States after the Civil War. So it it's really an embracing of genocide genocide and colonization, right? I mean So for me it's it's I'd rather not celebrate it. you know, I d I don't get the day off anyway. I mean my Mondays are usually my day off and I I never get holidays, really. I mean stat holidays 'cause you know, I work in a restaurant, so it's not like I get an extra day off or anything like that. so I don't know. I'd love you guys to give me your take on Thanksgiving. What do you guys think about it? is it a holiday for you? I I mean I have one friend who just loves Thanksgiving. That's his holiday. And hey, fair enough to him. You know. I mean, I understand the idea of getting around with family and and and having dinner, having turkey and all that stuff. me personally, getting around family, Take it or leave it. Yeah, so g just give me your thoughts on Thanksgiving. and what are you doing today? What are you doing for the holiday? yeah, me and my wife are just just chilling out with our dog. You could probably hear my dog in the background if not, you know, hey, that's just the way it is. So we went to the pony room last night in in Chinatown. And it was fantastic. It was the first time I've seen something truly Truly stylish. Truly I mean the people in there were stylish. They they they were really nice. I mean it was it was not a Vancouver type vibe, which was a a rarity. There was no Lululemon. There was no I mean, you know, Yale Town. no Kitsolano kind of thing. It was just just a really good place. I would suggest it for anybody who wants to go for a good cocktail. you know, and it's you have to be LGBTQ friendly. if not, then it's not the place for you. But yeah, it was it was a really good time. went with my friend Joyce and my friend Bree and my wife Selina and we sat around and I commented on my friend's tie and shirt not matching or it was too blue on blue or black on blue and she needed something to pop. She got mad at me. I know. I shouldn't give advice. It wasn't really advice. I'm like, hey, why don't you get something that pops at Yeah everything I do is wrong. So if Joyce is out there, I'm sorry, I I didn't mean that. We actually made up five minutes later. I mean that that's just what we do all the time, right? It's almost like brother sister kind of fighting vibe. Yeah, so tonight there's funky winker beans going on. I don't think I'll be making it tonight. Comedy after dark. Again, I don't think we'll be making it tonight. I just kinda just want to hang out with my my wife and you know, maybe go out for dinner. yeah, so shows that are coming up. in the near future. the Irish Heather on the twenty ninth of October. We will be presenting Kickdoor comedy. We'll be presenting a show. it'll be a fantastic time. it yeah it's it's always good. We've got some great comedians on the lineup. And yeah, so come on down, kickdoor comedy. what else do I have coming up? Battle Roast. I'll be judging of the Battle Roast at the Astoria on the what day is that? I think it might be on the nineteenth. Let me double check with the you and I'll get back to you. But I believe it's Monday the nineteenth. and then What else? November first. I will be doing a ten minute set in in Surrey at Jolly Rogers Pub. I will have to look that up again, but I believe it's Jolly Rogers Pub. yeah, so come on down to any of those shows. especially the kickdoor comedy, it's gonna be great. Battle Roast is gonna be always fun. And I'm excited about doing a show in Surrey. It's it's doing it in a different city. It'll be new for me. I mean, I did one at a funeral in I know a funeral. the the guest of honor actually was still alive, which was even better. And it was a 79th birthday. unfortunately he has passed away now. Great man, Carl. Carl's a great man. So I'm going to say goodbye for now. my question for you guys this week is why What do you do when you're in a restaurant and your server is so bad and non-caring? I mean, as a server myself, I would I don't call it out unless it's really bad. But I mean, I ordered a slice of pizza today. I said pepperoni. My wife heard me say pepperoni, and it came out with ham and pineapple. I mean, luckily I like that shit, but I mean when I asked her, she's like, No, you asked for the Maui Bowie and I'm like, okay, well hmm and then she kinda just threw the bill down on the table. So I mean what would you do in that situation myself? I mean like whatever, you know, and I I still tipped qu well, just 'cause everybody does deserve a living, even if they're a moron. But yeah, just curious what you guys would do. Alright, well I'm signing off for now and have a great day and yeah, enjoy your long weekend if you can. Bye.
