ÜBER DIESE EPISODE
On today's episode of Revitalize & Replant, Mark Clifton, Mark Hallock, and Dan Hurst talk through some more mistakes that preachers and teachers often make and how to correct them, based on an article from Steve Burchett. Building off of Part 1, this conversation tackles subtler habits, like filler words, mismatched tone, and communicating above the heads of newer believers, that can quietly weaken a sermon's impact. Together, Mark, Mark, and Dan wrap up the list with 5 more correctable mistakes every preacher and teacher should evaluate in their own delivery.
- Using unnecessary filler words
- Sharing too much personal—even risqué or embarrassing—information
- Overdoing (or underutilizing) physical mannerisms
- Communicating the wrong tone
- Speaking too academically or at a level that fails to teach newer (or immature) believers
