ÜBER DIESE EPISODE
Have you ever wondered how all your different gifts fit together?
Maybe you can do many things, you have several interests, and there are different opportunities in front of you—but instead of feeling purposeful, you sometimes feel pulled in too many directions.
In this episode, I sit down with Brenda Unu to talk about what it means to be multitalented without becoming multidistracted.
We explore the difference between your purpose and the many expressions of that purpose, how certain gifts may be particularly important for a specific season, and why we need to be careful not to build our identity around what we do.
Brenda shares from her own journey of navigating different roles and gifts, while learning to recognise what God is asking her to prioritise in each season.
In this conversation, we talk about:
-
One calling having many different expressions
-
How to recognise which gift should take the lead in your current season
-
Why every gift you have doesn't need to be expressed at the same time
-
The danger of allowing your gifts, roles or achievements to become your identity
-
Knowing who you are beyond your titles
-
Giving yourself permission to honour the season you are in
If you've ever asked, “Which of these things am I actually supposed to be doing?” this conversation will help you think about purpose differently—not as doing everything you can do, but discerning what God is asking of you now.
Reflection Questions-
Of all the gifts God has given you, which one needs to take the lead in this season?
-
Is there something you do that has gradually become part of how you define your identity?
-
Who are you when the titles, roles and things you do are stripped away?
-
