ÜBER DIESE EPISODE
International Graphite Ltd managing director and CEO Andrew Worland talked with Proactive about the company's binding graphite concentrate supply agreement with Wogen Pacific Ltd, which will support production at its Collie Micronising Facility in Western Australia and allow the company to advance its downstream graphite processing strategy without immediately developing its own mine.
Worland explained that securing reliable graphite concentrate feedstock is fundamental to establishing commercial processing operations. The agreement allows International Graphite to access different grades and types of graphite concentrate through Wogen's international sourcing network, providing flexibility to respond to customer demand.
The initial three-year supply arrangement will help International Graphite develop processing capabilities and customer markets while deferring the substantial capital expenditure associated with developing its Springdale Graphite Project.
The discussion also covered International Graphite's proposed graphite processing operations in Italy, where the company is working with joint venture partner Alkeemia. Worland clarified that the Wogen agreement applies specifically to Collie, although a similar arrangement could potentially support the Italian business, subject to joint venture approval.
Looking ahead, Worland outlined construction progress at Collie, including equipment procurement, financing arrangements and plans for further project development. He also discussed permitting and investment decision milestones in Italy, alongside ongoing permitting and planned drilling at Springdale.
Watch the full interview for insights into International Graphite's processing strategy, upcoming project milestones and plans to build an international graphite business.
