POWER SHIFT: Newcomers Arizona & Houston Now RUN the Big 12; Can Kansas & Bill Self Get BACK On Top?

Newcomers Arizona Wildcats and Houston Cougars shake up the Big 12, leaving Kansas Jayhawks searching for answers. Can Bill Self return Kansas to dominance, or have the tides permanently shifted toward the conference’s new blood? With Tyran Stokes, Caleb Holt, and Ivan Kharchenkov emerging as All-Big 12 contenders, the player landscape is as competitive as ever.

Andy Patton and Isaac Schade break down tier rankings, preseason All-Big 12 picks, and the evolving power dynamic within the conference. Key discussions include the coaching carousel featuring Randy Bennett’s high-profile move to Arizona State, the impact of major injuries and eligibility battles, and projections on how many Big 12 teams will clinch NCAA Tournament bids under the expanded 76-team field. Don’t miss critical insights on Kansas’ potential rebound, Texas Tech’s X-factors, and which sleeper programs could rise in the toughest league in college basketball.
