Episode Description:

The belly fat you can grab with your hand is not the fat that is hurting you. The fat that is actually driving your blood sugar issues, your heart disease risk, and your chronic fatigue is the fat you cannot even pinch. It is wrapped deep around your liver and your organs. And most of what is being sold to address it is doing nothing at all.

Visceral fat is not a willpower problem. It is an insulin problem. And there is a cheap ingredient sitting in your grocery store right now with real human evidence showing it goes directly after the cycle that is creating it.

Dr. G breaks it down — in order:

Take 1: "You don't have a belly fat problem. You have an insulin problem and it's manifesting as a belly" Dr. G reframes the entire visceral fat conversation and explains why the fat burner shelf at your local drugstore is full of stimulants that raise your heart rate and do nothing for the fat around your organs. The real target is insulin resistance.

Take 2: "Ginger at two grams a day is one of the most studied natural agents on earth for insulin resistance" Across dozens of solid human trials, standardized ginger extract has been shown to lower insulin resistance, reduce body fat, and shrink waistlines. Dr. G gives the exact dose, the exact duration, and the label trick that separates a real product from a pinch of powder in a proprietary blend.

Take 3: "Liquid sugar is the fastest way to build visceral fat" Sodas, juices, and sweet coffee drinks go almost directly to the liver and start packing fat around the organs. Dr. G explains why cutting liquid sugar is the fastest lever you can pull to stop feeding the engine before the ginger can start doing its job.

Take 4: "Stress is telling your body to store fat deep in your belly" When you are living in chronic fight or flight, your stress hormones are directing fat storage directly to the visceral region. Dr. G makes the case that unresolved and repressed emotion is a metabolic variable, not just a mental health one.

Ask your doctor for a fasting insulin test, not just fasting glucose. Watch that number fall.

Product reviews assess both brand transparency and product quality. If a company doesn’t respond to our outreach, it doesn’t automatically mean their product is low quality but it does mean they’re failing their customers on transparency and communication.

We reach out multiple times. No response isn’t an oversight, it's a choice. And consumers deserve better.
