…
In our continuing series of Lectio Divina with the Spiritual Masters, this new volume introduces readers to the ancient practice of prayerfully reading Sacred Scripture through the wisdom of one of Christianity’s earliest and most influential theologians, Origen of Alexandria with profound reflections on the Gospel of Luke, this guide helps readers encounter God’s Word not merely as a text to study but as the living voice of Christ speaking to the soul.
Whether you are beginning a practice of contemplative prayer or seeking to deepen an established spiritual life, this volume offers practical guidance, thoughtful reflections, and prayer prompts that lead naturally from reading to meditation, prayer, contemplation, and transformation. Rooted in the Church’s ancient tradition, it equips readers to pray with Scripture more fruitfully while drawing upon the spiritual insights of one of the great masters of the early Church.
