1
00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:03,000
Hello. Good morning.
2
00:00:03,000 --> 00:00:09,000
Oh, right? I feel like this is like a tired morning.
3
00:00:09,000 --> 00:00:12,000
It's always behind the scenes all the technical stuff that's going on.
4
00:00:12,000 --> 00:00:13,000
Right.
5
00:00:13,000 --> 00:00:15,000
Microphones, they don't work.
6
00:00:15,000 --> 00:00:18,000
Well, this is the cable.
7
00:00:18,000 --> 00:00:19,000
Yeah.
8
00:00:19,000 --> 00:00:22,000
Good morning, I'm Lori.
9
00:00:22,000 --> 00:00:24,000
Yeah, are you on that microphone?
10
00:00:24,000 --> 00:00:25,000
I don't know, am I?
11
00:00:25,000 --> 00:00:26,000
I think you're just gonna be on this one.
12
00:00:26,000 --> 00:00:28,000
Oh no, it's not plugged in.
13
00:00:28,000 --> 00:00:30,000
You're gonna plug it in and you just walk away.
14
00:00:30,000 --> 00:00:31,000
Oh, okay.
15
00:00:31,000 --> 00:00:32,000
Logan!
16
00:00:32,000 --> 00:00:35,000
You're Britain.
17
00:00:35,000 --> 00:00:36,000
I'm Britain.
18
00:00:36,000 --> 00:00:37,000
I'm Patty if you can hear me.
19
00:00:37,000 --> 00:00:38,000
If you can hear Patty.
20
00:00:38,000 --> 00:00:39,000
Yeah.
21
00:00:39,000 --> 00:00:41,000
I'm not sure.
22
00:00:41,000 --> 00:00:42,000
We don't know.
23
00:00:42,000 --> 00:00:43,000
Can you hear Patty?
24
00:00:43,000 --> 00:00:45,000
Hello Jennifer.
25
00:00:45,000 --> 00:00:47,000
Hello.
26
00:00:47,000 --> 00:00:48,000
I know.
27
00:00:48,000 --> 00:00:49,000
That one's definitely not plugged in.
28
00:00:49,000 --> 00:00:50,000
Yeah.
29
00:00:50,000 --> 00:00:51,000
But I don't know if he unplugged your other one.
30
00:00:51,000 --> 00:00:52,000
I don't know.
31
00:00:52,000 --> 00:00:53,000
He just walked away.
32
00:00:53,000 --> 00:00:55,000
Also, our technical issues are funny.
33
00:00:55,000 --> 00:00:57,000
We try to go more high tech and I think we do good,
34
00:00:57,000 --> 00:00:59,000
but then sometimes there's no battery.
35
00:00:59,000 --> 00:01:01,000
We're modeling our back space.
36
00:01:01,000 --> 00:01:03,000
She can hear you.
37
00:01:03,000 --> 00:01:04,000
Okay, good.
38
00:01:04,000 --> 00:01:06,000
Our back space.
39
00:01:06,000 --> 00:01:08,000
Say that differently.
40
00:01:08,000 --> 00:01:10,000
Our back office space.
41
00:01:10,000 --> 00:01:12,000
Our back office space.
42
00:01:12,000 --> 00:01:13,000
Yeah.
43
00:01:13,000 --> 00:01:16,000
Our whole office space, but we're starting on the back.
44
00:01:16,000 --> 00:01:18,000
So, good morning.
45
00:01:18,000 --> 00:01:19,000
Oh my gosh.
46
00:01:19,000 --> 00:01:21,000
I just like to take a bath.
47
00:01:21,000 --> 00:01:23,000
I know, right?
48
00:01:23,000 --> 00:01:25,000
Yeah, yesterday was super busy.
49
00:01:25,000 --> 00:01:27,000
It was your birthday.
50
00:01:27,000 --> 00:01:29,000
It was my birthday.
51
00:01:29,000 --> 00:01:31,000
So, it was just like a lot of stuff to do.
52
00:01:31,000 --> 00:01:32,000
Yes.
53
00:01:32,000 --> 00:01:36,000
And as soon as that email went out that we have black cherry available,
54
00:01:36,000 --> 00:01:38,000
people went nuts.
55
00:01:38,000 --> 00:01:40,000
I kept looking at the back end and going,
56
00:01:40,000 --> 00:01:42,000
like, right, and why are there so many orders coming in?
57
00:01:42,000 --> 00:01:43,000
It's Tuesday.
58
00:01:43,000 --> 00:01:44,000
What's going on?
59
00:01:44,000 --> 00:01:45,000
Just like black cherry.
60
00:01:45,000 --> 00:01:46,000
I know.
61
00:01:46,000 --> 00:01:48,000
So, weird how marketing works.
62
00:01:48,000 --> 00:01:49,000
Yeah.
63
00:01:49,000 --> 00:01:52,000
I'm going to taste the Michigan cherry versus black cherry today.
64
00:01:52,000 --> 00:01:55,000
Sounds like crickets again.
65
00:01:55,000 --> 00:01:57,000
That's what Logan was worried about.
66
00:01:57,000 --> 00:01:59,000
It's my mic.
67
00:01:59,000 --> 00:02:00,000
Alan, hook.
68
00:02:00,000 --> 00:02:01,000
Yeah.
69
00:02:01,000 --> 00:02:02,000
Do we need to switch spots?
70
00:02:02,000 --> 00:02:03,000
Yeah.
71
00:02:03,000 --> 00:02:05,000
Or give you, how do we hook this one in?
72
00:02:05,000 --> 00:02:06,000
I'll do it.
73
00:02:06,000 --> 00:02:07,000
Okay.
74
00:02:07,000 --> 00:02:09,000
Something on the cord.
75
00:02:09,000 --> 00:02:11,000
It's this cord that's not working.
76
00:02:11,000 --> 00:02:13,000
Okay, we're going to just, like, move around for a second.
77
00:02:13,000 --> 00:02:15,000
We're going to play musicals later.
78
00:02:15,000 --> 00:02:16,000
Yeah.
79
00:02:16,000 --> 00:02:17,000
Bill says happy birthday to you.
80
00:02:17,000 --> 00:02:18,000
Thank you.
81
00:02:18,000 --> 00:02:19,000
Yeah.
82
00:02:19,000 --> 00:02:20,000
It's kind of weird.
83
00:02:20,000 --> 00:02:22,000
I'm going to really selfish with your note.
84
00:02:22,000 --> 00:02:23,000
I have a 32-year-old.
85
00:02:23,000 --> 00:02:24,000
It's odd.
86
00:02:24,000 --> 00:02:26,000
Are we supposed to say how old she is?
87
00:02:26,000 --> 00:02:28,000
I'm not that much older.
88
00:02:28,000 --> 00:02:29,000
I'm going to.
89
00:02:29,000 --> 00:02:31,000
I don't really care how old I am.
90
00:02:31,000 --> 00:02:32,000
It doesn't, like, affect me.
91
00:02:32,000 --> 00:02:33,000
I'm literally just stepping over the table.
92
00:02:33,000 --> 00:02:34,000
My 30s were so fast.
93
00:02:34,000 --> 00:02:35,000
Just don't get your copy.
94
00:02:35,000 --> 00:02:36,000
My 30s were my favorite.
95
00:02:36,000 --> 00:02:37,000
This is what we do.
96
00:02:37,000 --> 00:02:38,000
Good for you.
97
00:02:38,000 --> 00:02:39,000
I'm almost out of my 30s.
98
00:02:39,000 --> 00:02:41,000
I was pregnant on my 20s to my 30s,
99
00:02:41,000 --> 00:02:43,000
where I just, so much more.
100
00:02:43,000 --> 00:02:44,000
Man.
101
00:02:44,000 --> 00:02:45,000
Okay, is that better?
102
00:02:45,000 --> 00:02:46,000
You all right?
103
00:02:46,000 --> 00:02:47,000
I could have just put, probably,
104
00:02:47,000 --> 00:02:50,000
and gave you mine rather than, you know,
105
00:02:50,000 --> 00:02:51,000
okay.
106
00:02:51,000 --> 00:02:52,000
Yeah.
107
00:02:52,000 --> 00:02:54,000
And it's, we had to get our Easter eggs ready.
108
00:02:54,000 --> 00:02:55,000
So that took some.
109
00:02:55,000 --> 00:02:57,000
Can we do an adult Easter egg hunt?
110
00:02:57,000 --> 00:02:59,000
So the, um, the Easter eggs,
111
00:02:59,000 --> 00:03:00,000
you can go find them.
112
00:03:00,000 --> 00:03:03,000
What kind of things could you find in these Easter eggs?
113
00:03:03,000 --> 00:03:05,000
So many things.
114
00:03:05,000 --> 00:03:06,000
So many things.
115
00:03:06,000 --> 00:03:09,000
Mine are very nice self-care products.
116
00:03:09,000 --> 00:03:10,000
Yeah.
117
00:03:10,000 --> 00:03:12,000
Mine are like random stuff.
118
00:03:12,000 --> 00:03:13,000
All over the board.
119
00:03:13,000 --> 00:03:16,000
There's some liquor bottles in one of mine.
120
00:03:16,000 --> 00:03:19,000
And, uh, and some makeup.
121
00:03:19,000 --> 00:03:20,000
Yeah.
122
00:03:20,000 --> 00:03:21,000
Yeah.
123
00:03:21,000 --> 00:03:22,000
It didn't stop.
124
00:03:22,000 --> 00:03:23,000
Oh no.
125
00:03:23,000 --> 00:03:24,000
Me?
126
00:03:24,000 --> 00:03:25,000
I'm the crinkly one today.
127
00:03:25,000 --> 00:03:26,000
It's me.
128
00:03:26,000 --> 00:03:28,000
It's going to go away as soon as I do this.
129
00:03:28,000 --> 00:03:29,000
Better, Jen?
130
00:03:29,000 --> 00:03:30,000
Is that better?
131
00:03:30,000 --> 00:03:31,000
Wait, now it did.
132
00:03:31,000 --> 00:03:32,000
She said before you did it,
133
00:03:32,000 --> 00:03:33,000
before you unplugged it.
134
00:03:33,000 --> 00:03:34,000
Is it better now?
135
00:03:34,000 --> 00:03:35,000
Hmm.
136
00:03:35,000 --> 00:03:36,000
You guys are,
137
00:03:36,000 --> 00:03:38,000
Jennifer, you are our sound engineer.
138
00:03:38,000 --> 00:03:40,000
Oh, I got to love it.
139
00:03:40,000 --> 00:03:41,000
Now it did.
140
00:03:41,000 --> 00:03:43,000
But it was before she unplugged it though.
141
00:03:43,000 --> 00:03:46,000
I don't know.
142
00:03:46,000 --> 00:03:47,000
Who knows?
143
00:03:47,000 --> 00:03:49,000
What are we now?
144
00:03:49,000 --> 00:03:50,000
You guys talk.
145
00:03:50,000 --> 00:03:52,000
I'll just try to copy with you.
146
00:03:52,000 --> 00:03:53,000
Okay.
147
00:03:53,000 --> 00:03:55,000
I wish you could put her microphone next.
148
00:03:55,000 --> 00:03:56,000
You need to lean into her microphone.
149
00:03:56,000 --> 00:03:57,000
Not really.
150
00:03:57,000 --> 00:03:58,000
Is it right?
151
00:03:58,000 --> 00:03:59,000
Logan.
152
00:03:59,000 --> 00:04:00,000
Oh, I'm crazy.
153
00:04:00,000 --> 00:04:01,000
It's not right.
154
00:04:01,000 --> 00:04:02,000
Oh.
155
00:04:02,000 --> 00:04:03,000
Well, we knew you weren't quite right,
156
00:04:03,000 --> 00:04:04,000
but that's why we love you.
157
00:04:04,000 --> 00:04:05,000
Is that better?
158
00:04:05,000 --> 00:04:06,000
These mics, they were great.
159
00:04:06,000 --> 00:04:07,000
Now they're just more complicated.
160
00:04:07,000 --> 00:04:08,000
I'm sorry.
161
00:04:08,000 --> 00:04:09,000
I'm sorry.
162
00:04:09,000 --> 00:04:10,000
I'm sorry.
163
00:04:10,000 --> 00:04:11,000
I'm sorry.
164
00:04:11,000 --> 00:04:13,000
They were great and now they're just more complicated.
165
00:04:13,000 --> 00:04:16,000
Well, so anyway, since I'm the only one who can talk,
166
00:04:16,000 --> 00:04:18,000
you guys just had to listen to me apparently.
167
00:04:18,000 --> 00:04:19,000
There we go.
168
00:04:19,000 --> 00:04:22,000
We put out the email yesterday that Black Cheer is available.
169
00:04:22,000 --> 00:04:24,000
People went nuts.
170
00:04:24,000 --> 00:04:28,000
And while a lot of people were questioning online and asking,
171
00:04:28,000 --> 00:04:29,000
Well, what does it say though?
172
00:04:29,000 --> 00:04:32,000
It was before, but I can still hear Britain, she said.
173
00:04:32,000 --> 00:04:33,000
Oh.
174
00:04:33,000 --> 00:04:34,000
Yeah.
175
00:04:34,000 --> 00:04:35,000
Yeah.
176
00:04:35,000 --> 00:04:36,000
Oh, probably.
177
00:04:36,000 --> 00:04:40,000
But what we decided is because we've been getting in so many people asking the
178
00:04:40,000 --> 00:04:45,000
difference between Michigan cherry and black cherry that we would test it live and then
179
00:04:45,000 --> 00:04:48,000
kind of go over some of the differences with you guys.
180
00:04:48,000 --> 00:04:53,000
And I'm going to see, oh, my mic isn't moving at all.
181
00:04:53,000 --> 00:04:55,000
It is because it's moving over there on my phone.
182
00:04:55,000 --> 00:04:56,000
Yours is moving.
183
00:04:56,000 --> 00:04:57,000
Mine isn't moving at all.
184
00:04:57,000 --> 00:05:02,000
I'm going to not talk and then you see.
185
00:05:02,000 --> 00:05:03,000
So, oh.
186
00:05:03,000 --> 00:05:04,000
Yep.
187
00:05:04,000 --> 00:05:05,000
Yours is working.
188
00:05:05,000 --> 00:05:06,000
On yours.
189
00:05:06,000 --> 00:05:07,000
Okay.
190
00:05:07,000 --> 00:05:08,000
Now try it.
191
00:05:08,000 --> 00:05:11,000
I have no idea.
192
00:05:11,000 --> 00:05:16,000
So obviously they had to be different enough or we wouldn't have done a new brand.
193
00:05:16,000 --> 00:05:18,000
It's a lot to do a new flavor.
194
00:05:18,000 --> 00:05:19,000
Yes.
195
00:05:19,000 --> 00:05:23,000
You know, when Michigan cherry is our top seller, but I'm going to say banana and nut bread
196
00:05:23,000 --> 00:05:24,000
has to be close.
197
00:05:24,000 --> 00:05:28,000
That's got to be number two at this point because we're selling so much of that coffee.
198
00:05:28,000 --> 00:05:30,000
So much banana and nut bread.
199
00:05:30,000 --> 00:05:31,000
Yes.
200
00:05:31,000 --> 00:05:32,000
And it is fabulous.
201
00:05:32,000 --> 00:05:33,000
Yes, it is so good.
202
00:05:33,000 --> 00:05:38,000
So it is very different taste profile.
203
00:05:38,000 --> 00:05:44,000
I describe it as like the Michigan cherry is more and not in a bad way, but more like
204
00:05:44,000 --> 00:05:49,000
an artificial, like a maraschino cherry, more of a candy kind of cherry flavor.
205
00:05:49,000 --> 00:05:50,000
That's a good way to say it.
206
00:05:50,000 --> 00:05:51,000
A black cherry.
207
00:05:51,000 --> 00:05:52,000
Is what?
208
00:05:52,000 --> 00:05:53,000
Tell me how you say it.
209
00:05:53,000 --> 00:05:56,000
Right off a tree.
210
00:05:56,000 --> 00:05:57,000
Okay.
211
00:05:57,000 --> 00:05:58,000
It's a very tree.
212
00:05:58,000 --> 00:06:02,000
Before this, she's been telling everybody it's straight off the vine and we had to let
213
00:06:02,000 --> 00:06:03,000
her know.
214
00:06:03,000 --> 00:06:04,000
I was like, grapes.
215
00:06:04,000 --> 00:06:05,000
I was thinking it was like grapes.
216
00:06:05,000 --> 00:06:07,000
But cherries don't grow off vines.
217
00:06:07,000 --> 00:06:08,000
Wine is off the vine.
218
00:06:08,000 --> 00:06:12,000
Even coffee cherries are off the, you know, tree, right?
219
00:06:12,000 --> 00:06:13,000
It is.
220
00:06:13,000 --> 00:06:14,000
Or bushes.
221
00:06:14,000 --> 00:06:15,000
There's some there.
222
00:06:15,000 --> 00:06:16,000
They're called a coffee tree.
223
00:06:16,000 --> 00:06:19,000
I know, but there's some people call them bushes because they're not very tall.
224
00:06:19,000 --> 00:06:20,000
They're not very tall.
225
00:06:20,000 --> 00:06:21,000
You're right.
226
00:06:21,000 --> 00:06:22,000
So there is the big...
227
00:06:22,000 --> 00:06:23,000
Good morning, Charles.
228
00:06:23,000 --> 00:06:24,000
But, um...
229
00:06:24,000 --> 00:06:27,000
So not off the vine, off the stem.
230
00:06:27,000 --> 00:06:28,000
So it is more like that.
231
00:06:28,000 --> 00:06:29,000
Like that.
232
00:06:29,000 --> 00:06:30,000
My mom loves black cherries.
233
00:06:30,000 --> 00:06:33,000
She just could sit there and eat ice for $100.
234
00:06:33,000 --> 00:06:34,000
I could too.
235
00:06:34,000 --> 00:06:36,000
And it is more that ripe flavor.
236
00:06:36,000 --> 00:06:37,000
Yes.
237
00:06:37,000 --> 00:06:39,000
Like that ripe fruit flavor.
238
00:06:39,000 --> 00:06:43,400
Michigan's known for our cherry festivals and having those good black cherries that
239
00:06:43,400 --> 00:06:45,000
you can eat at Traverse City.
240
00:06:45,000 --> 00:06:46,000
Yeah.
241
00:06:46,000 --> 00:06:48,000
So, um, definitely a really yummy cherry.
242
00:06:48,000 --> 00:06:50,000
I feel like they are distinctive.
243
00:06:50,000 --> 00:06:53,000
Now, will you like them both?
244
00:06:53,000 --> 00:06:55,000
I would say yes.
245
00:06:55,000 --> 00:06:59,000
I, um, prefer black cherry.
246
00:06:59,000 --> 00:07:02,000
I think that we all prefer black cherry.
247
00:07:02,000 --> 00:07:06,000
But you can't argue with Michigan cherry because it is our number one selling coffee.
248
00:07:06,000 --> 00:07:09,000
And I think that it is so flavorful.
249
00:07:09,000 --> 00:07:12,000
That people enjoy that flavorful.
250
00:07:12,000 --> 00:07:17,000
Well, when we got the black cherry, um, just banana bread now.
251
00:07:17,000 --> 00:07:18,000
You're right, Jennifer.
252
00:07:18,000 --> 00:07:19,000
Only save banana bread.
253
00:07:19,000 --> 00:07:20,000
That's very important.
254
00:07:20,000 --> 00:07:21,000
That's very important.
255
00:07:21,000 --> 00:07:23,000
We're all going to get banned.
256
00:07:23,000 --> 00:07:24,000
Yeah.
257
00:07:24,000 --> 00:07:25,000
Don't say anything.
258
00:07:25,000 --> 00:07:27,000
And is this banana bread?
259
00:07:27,000 --> 00:07:32,000
Yeah, I think we might call it the other one, but, but for Facebook reasons, we're not going
260
00:07:32,000 --> 00:07:35,000
to, you know, we're not going to bother them at all.
261
00:07:35,000 --> 00:07:37,000
Jennifer to get banned.
262
00:07:37,000 --> 00:07:43,000
When we first started sampling, um, we were actually kind of messing with a new company
263
00:07:43,000 --> 00:07:46,000
and they sent us a cherry and we're like, oh, let's just try it for fun.
264
00:07:46,000 --> 00:07:47,000
We're not going to mess with our cherry.
265
00:07:47,000 --> 00:07:49,000
We don't, you know, our cherry is our best seller.
266
00:07:49,000 --> 00:07:51,000
We don't want to bring in a new cherry.
267
00:07:51,000 --> 00:07:55,000
But when we tried it, we said, wow, that's way different.
268
00:07:55,000 --> 00:07:59,000
And that's kind of the nice thing too about trying the subscription coffees is that we
269
00:07:59,000 --> 00:08:05,000
try things that are similar in flavor, maybe, um, but has to be enough of a difference for
270
00:08:05,000 --> 00:08:07,000
us to, you know, make a new coffee.
271
00:08:07,000 --> 00:08:08,000
Yeah, absolutely.
272
00:08:08,000 --> 00:08:11,000
And that's what black cherry really, gosh, we really like this.
273
00:08:11,000 --> 00:08:13,000
And then we send it to some people.
274
00:08:13,000 --> 00:08:14,000
Yes.
275
00:08:14,000 --> 00:08:18,000
Last, uh, last summer, I think Jennifer, I think you tried it last summer.
276
00:08:18,000 --> 00:08:21,000
And, um, and they really enjoyed it as well.
277
00:08:21,000 --> 00:08:26,000
I don't think it's going to take anything away from it.
278
00:08:26,000 --> 00:08:29,000
I think it's a slightly different profile and it's nice to switch it up.
279
00:08:29,000 --> 00:08:36,000
I know I've got at home, I've got butter, rum cake, creme brulee and blueberry cobbler.
280
00:08:36,000 --> 00:08:37,000
Oh, yes.
281
00:08:37,000 --> 00:08:41,000
Which between well and that creme brulee that you added that, what was it?
282
00:08:41,000 --> 00:08:42,000
Brown butter toffee.
283
00:08:42,000 --> 00:08:44,000
Brown toffee syrup.
284
00:08:44,000 --> 00:08:46,000
Yeah, that sounds so good.
285
00:08:46,000 --> 00:08:48,000
And then cabinet brown butter.
286
00:08:48,000 --> 00:08:49,000
Yeah.
287
00:08:49,000 --> 00:08:52,000
And then Kevin added it to my butter rum.
288
00:08:52,000 --> 00:08:53,000
It was really good.
289
00:08:53,000 --> 00:08:54,000
I love butter rum.
290
00:08:54,000 --> 00:08:55,000
It's so good.
291
00:08:55,000 --> 00:08:56,000
My coffee church.
292
00:08:56,000 --> 00:08:59,000
Oh, Britton says she's not coming back.
293
00:08:59,000 --> 00:09:01,000
It's just us now.
294
00:09:01,000 --> 00:09:04,000
Britton, you're not coming back.
295
00:09:04,000 --> 00:09:06,000
I think it's her phone ringing too.
296
00:09:06,000 --> 00:09:10,000
Oh, so anyways, we're going to try the black cherry versus the Michigan cherry today.
297
00:09:10,000 --> 00:09:11,000
Okay.
298
00:09:11,000 --> 00:09:15,000
Because again, we've had, as soon as we launched it, everyone was just messaging us on Facebook.
299
00:09:15,000 --> 00:09:16,000
What's the difference is?
300
00:09:16,000 --> 00:09:17,000
Maybe we did.
301
00:09:17,000 --> 00:09:20,000
We did forever ago, try them side by side.
302
00:09:20,000 --> 00:09:21,000
Yeah.
303
00:09:21,000 --> 00:09:22,000
Okay.
304
00:09:22,000 --> 00:09:23,000
So you know, Michigan cherry first.
305
00:09:23,000 --> 00:09:25,000
The definitely the smell you get that aroma.
306
00:09:25,000 --> 00:09:29,000
It's got that really just sweet.
307
00:09:29,000 --> 00:09:34,000
I agree with what you say about it being like a maraschino cherry, just a very like, it's
308
00:09:34,000 --> 00:09:35,000
more like candy.
309
00:09:35,000 --> 00:09:37,000
It's the top of the Sunday, right?
310
00:09:37,000 --> 00:09:39,000
Like that cherry that just finishes it off on top.
311
00:09:39,000 --> 00:09:44,000
If you're drinking a whole cup of that, you have almost like, I mean, when, if you drink
312
00:09:44,000 --> 00:09:51,000
our Amaretto, it almost has the alcohol taste, but that tastes to it, that really sweet liqueur.
313
00:09:51,000 --> 00:09:52,000
Yeah.
314
00:09:52,000 --> 00:09:53,000
I guess it'd be a liqueur taste.
315
00:09:53,000 --> 00:09:54,000
Yeah.
316
00:09:54,000 --> 00:09:58,000
The Amaretto takes on the core for sure, which is interesting because Amaretto is almond,
317
00:09:58,000 --> 00:09:59,000
right?
318
00:09:59,000 --> 00:10:01,000
Cause I feel like that's a similar taste profile.
319
00:10:01,000 --> 00:10:02,000
Yeah.
320
00:10:02,000 --> 00:10:03,000
That's so good.
321
00:10:03,000 --> 00:10:05,000
Is that Michigan cherry is excellent.
322
00:10:05,000 --> 00:10:07,000
I'm going to keep drinking this.
323
00:10:07,000 --> 00:10:08,000
It is really good.
324
00:10:08,000 --> 00:10:12,000
Every time I have, I'm like, Oh, I do really like, but it's super flavorful.
325
00:10:12,000 --> 00:10:19,000
It is, um, that flavoring is just made a little bit different than all of our other flavors.
326
00:10:19,000 --> 00:10:22,000
It's to make, to give it that really cool flavor.
327
00:10:22,000 --> 00:10:23,000
It's just strong.
328
00:10:23,000 --> 00:10:27,000
So like if you like a subtle flavor, Michigan cherry and black cherry, aren't your flavors?
329
00:10:27,000 --> 00:10:32,000
If you like just like, like beans that are just kissed by flavor, French vanilla, creme
330
00:10:32,000 --> 00:10:34,000
brulee, that's more, more of your alley.
331
00:10:34,000 --> 00:10:39,000
Even the Kermaklokong pie, sea salt caramel are going to be more of those flavor profiles.
332
00:10:39,000 --> 00:10:40,000
Yeah.
333
00:10:40,000 --> 00:10:46,000
And blueberry cobbler to me is a step down in flavor as far as the in your face flavor.
334
00:10:46,000 --> 00:10:47,000
Yeah.
335
00:10:47,000 --> 00:10:48,000
I love it.
336
00:10:48,000 --> 00:10:49,000
It's so good.
337
00:10:49,000 --> 00:10:51,000
Very cobbler is one of my favorites.
338
00:10:51,000 --> 00:10:52,000
Okay.
339
00:10:52,000 --> 00:10:57,000
And then black cherry, when you smell it, you definitely taste the difference.
340
00:10:57,000 --> 00:11:04,000
I feel like it's more, there's still that, the sugar that.
341
00:11:04,000 --> 00:11:06,000
I just like watching you describe this.
342
00:11:06,000 --> 00:11:07,000
I know.
343
00:11:07,000 --> 00:11:08,000
Not good at it at all.
344
00:11:08,000 --> 00:11:09,000
You are good at it.
345
00:11:09,000 --> 00:11:14,000
I mean, it's almost like not, I'm not going to say brown sugar, but almost like more
346
00:11:14,000 --> 00:11:17,000
that note than the bright.
347
00:11:17,000 --> 00:11:19,000
Well, yeah, you're getting that flavor.
348
00:11:19,000 --> 00:11:24,000
You're getting that just like juicy cherry, like just yummy, juicy cherry.
349
00:11:24,000 --> 00:11:25,000
Yeah.
350
00:11:25,000 --> 00:11:27,000
It's really like just off the not vine.
351
00:11:27,000 --> 00:11:28,000
Yeah.
352
00:11:28,000 --> 00:11:29,000
The stem.
353
00:11:29,000 --> 00:11:32,000
I don't know if I can go on stems.
354
00:11:32,000 --> 00:11:33,000
They do.
355
00:11:33,000 --> 00:11:34,000
Too small to grow.
356
00:11:34,000 --> 00:11:36,000
They do grow on stems.
357
00:11:36,000 --> 00:11:40,000
It feels like I'd be like, Oh, the cherry so heavy.
358
00:11:40,000 --> 00:11:45,000
Do you remember when she bought the pitless cherries and then also bought a pit, how long
359
00:11:45,000 --> 00:11:46,000
did you spend?
360
00:11:46,000 --> 00:11:48,000
It does smell like that cherry pie I made.
361
00:11:48,000 --> 00:11:49,000
Oh, where's the trophy?
362
00:11:49,000 --> 00:11:53,000
How long though, did you spend pitying those cherries before you realized there was no
363
00:11:53,000 --> 00:11:54,000
pit in them?
364
00:11:54,000 --> 00:11:58,000
It took me a long time just to figure out how to use the pitter, which I'm like, why doesn't
365
00:11:58,000 --> 00:12:00,000
this thing come with instructions?
366
00:12:00,000 --> 00:12:01,000
Why doesn't this work?
367
00:12:01,000 --> 00:12:04,000
That's so cute.
368
00:12:04,000 --> 00:12:07,000
First as she did have it and she loved the black cherry.
369
00:12:07,000 --> 00:12:09,000
We've got more down here too.
370
00:12:09,000 --> 00:12:10,000
Let's get rid of this.
371
00:12:10,000 --> 00:12:14,000
I thought that black cherry was something with amaretto when I sampled it.
372
00:12:14,000 --> 00:12:16,000
It's so different than Michigan cherry.
373
00:12:16,000 --> 00:12:21,000
I think it's so different.
374
00:12:21,000 --> 00:12:23,000
It's just a different flavor profile.
375
00:12:23,000 --> 00:12:25,000
And I wish I were better at describing it.
376
00:12:25,000 --> 00:12:27,000
It tastes more fresh to me.
377
00:12:27,000 --> 00:12:29,000
I'm going to go with what you said originally.
378
00:12:29,000 --> 00:12:34,000
The Michigan cherry is maraschino cherry top of the Sunday.
379
00:12:34,000 --> 00:12:35,000
Delicious.
380
00:12:35,000 --> 00:12:37,000
This is more I'm eating a bowl of black cherries.
381
00:12:37,000 --> 00:12:41,000
Really to me, this is so much more similar to amaretto and this one's so much similar
382
00:12:41,000 --> 00:12:42,000
to blueberry cobbler.
383
00:12:42,000 --> 00:12:43,000
Yes.
384
00:12:43,000 --> 00:12:47,000
If I had to like group them in runway fashion groups.
385
00:12:47,000 --> 00:12:48,000
Yes.
386
00:12:48,000 --> 00:12:49,000
Runway fashion.
387
00:12:49,000 --> 00:12:52,000
They were going to come on the runway together.
388
00:12:52,000 --> 00:12:54,000
That's how I would put them.
389
00:12:54,000 --> 00:12:58,000
Now I'm just picturing them coming out, walking down the runway.
390
00:12:58,000 --> 00:13:01,000
And then I'm going to go with blueberry cobbler with black cherry.
391
00:13:01,000 --> 00:13:02,000
Nice.
392
00:13:02,000 --> 00:13:03,000
I like how you write this.
393
00:13:03,000 --> 00:13:05,000
Can you imagine the little coffee bags?
394
00:13:05,000 --> 00:13:08,000
I'm imagining the little coffee bags strut down in the fashion aisle.
395
00:13:08,000 --> 00:13:11,000
So I think this is Britain who said cherries grow on trees.
396
00:13:11,000 --> 00:13:14,000
They look super similar to coffee cherry trees.
397
00:13:14,000 --> 00:13:16,000
There is some debate.
398
00:13:16,000 --> 00:13:19,000
No, there is no debate.
399
00:13:19,000 --> 00:13:20,000
I know I read it.
400
00:13:20,000 --> 00:13:21,000
It wasn't me.
401
00:13:21,000 --> 00:13:22,000
Where did you read this?
402
00:13:22,000 --> 00:13:24,000
Because they're so short.
403
00:13:24,000 --> 00:13:31,000
And there were official names of them that there was debate on whether to classify for
404
00:13:31,000 --> 00:13:34,000
classification purposes, scientific classification purposes.
405
00:13:34,000 --> 00:13:35,000
There was some.
406
00:13:35,000 --> 00:13:38,000
Tell me about your science degree.
407
00:13:38,000 --> 00:13:41,000
I have a degree in education.
408
00:13:41,000 --> 00:13:42,000
History.
409
00:13:42,000 --> 00:13:45,000
No, you don't really get a degree in education.
410
00:13:45,000 --> 00:13:49,000
My major is in history.
411
00:13:49,000 --> 00:13:52,000
And my minor is in language arts.
412
00:13:52,000 --> 00:13:58,000
So when you tell the story of how coffee was discovered, and it's a history story.
413
00:13:58,000 --> 00:14:02,000
It's really because I went to a Christian college and all of my Christian courses went into history.
414
00:14:02,000 --> 00:14:03,000
That makes sense.
415
00:14:03,000 --> 00:14:07,000
So when you go to be a teacher, it's like, what do you have the most science, math?
416
00:14:07,000 --> 00:14:09,000
What are you going to get your minor in?
417
00:14:09,000 --> 00:14:11,000
And since that my history.
418
00:14:11,000 --> 00:14:12,000
That makes sense.
419
00:14:12,000 --> 00:14:15,000
You know, foods of the New Testament transferred to history.
420
00:14:15,000 --> 00:14:18,000
Oh, Charles, you definitely have to order some black cherry cookups.
421
00:14:18,000 --> 00:14:21,000
Yeah, black cherry is, it is phenomenal.
422
00:14:21,000 --> 00:14:26,000
I mean, obviously we think it's worthy of its own even introduction.
423
00:14:26,000 --> 00:14:27,000
Yeah, absolutely.
424
00:14:27,000 --> 00:14:30,000
We don't add flavors very often at all.
425
00:14:30,000 --> 00:14:31,000
No.
426
00:14:31,000 --> 00:14:33,000
Well, we do our LTOs every month, right?
427
00:14:33,000 --> 00:14:34,000
We have our subscription.
428
00:14:34,000 --> 00:14:39,000
That's kind of our way to play with flavors and have something fun and exciting going on.
429
00:14:39,000 --> 00:14:46,000
Well, the fun thing about the subscription box is every now and then there's something that you guys are just crazy about, like the white chocolate strawberry.
430
00:14:46,000 --> 00:14:47,000
That is so good.
431
00:14:47,000 --> 00:14:49,000
Yeah, that we ended up bringing in full time.
432
00:14:49,000 --> 00:14:51,000
I don't know that we've done.
433
00:14:51,000 --> 00:14:56,000
Oh, and I also the butter bacon was the first one because that was in our very first subscription box.
434
00:14:56,000 --> 00:14:57,000
Strawberry.
435
00:14:57,000 --> 00:14:58,000
Yeah.
436
00:14:58,000 --> 00:15:00,000
We brought in because it was so popular.
437
00:15:00,000 --> 00:15:01,000
Yeah.
438
00:15:01,000 --> 00:15:02,000
People begged for the white chocolate strawberry.
439
00:15:02,000 --> 00:15:03,000
Yes.
440
00:15:03,000 --> 00:15:10,000
You know what's interesting to me, because we used to, because we didn't have subscription, we had to do some LTO kind of theme things.
441
00:15:10,000 --> 00:15:12,000
So remember we did the 50s vintage.
442
00:15:12,000 --> 00:15:15,000
Yeah, we did, we did soda shop.
443
00:15:15,000 --> 00:15:17,000
Yeah, orange dreamcicle.
444
00:15:17,000 --> 00:15:19,000
And strawberry milkshake maybe.
445
00:15:19,000 --> 00:15:20,000
Yeah.
446
00:15:20,000 --> 00:15:24,000
And that's when we started people are like, please bring back the flavor.
447
00:15:24,000 --> 00:15:26,000
Yes, they went nuts for that flavor.
448
00:15:26,000 --> 00:15:27,000
That was so good.
449
00:15:27,000 --> 00:15:29,000
I'm just going to keep drinking this black cherry.
450
00:15:29,000 --> 00:15:30,000
It is really good.
451
00:15:30,000 --> 00:15:31,000
I love it.
452
00:15:31,000 --> 00:15:36,000
Yeah, I mean, I personally like it more than the cherry.
453
00:15:36,000 --> 00:15:42,000
I just like that really not tart, but sweet off the vine.
454
00:15:42,000 --> 00:15:43,000
Vine?
455
00:15:43,000 --> 00:15:47,000
Can you get a wine?
456
00:15:47,000 --> 00:15:48,000
That's why I do it.
457
00:15:48,000 --> 00:15:49,000
Sweet off the stem.
458
00:15:49,000 --> 00:15:53,000
So for me, picking coffee cherries is like picking blueberries.
459
00:15:53,000 --> 00:15:58,000
If you've ever picked blueberries, the tree is, or the, but it's kind of like a blueberry bush.
460
00:15:58,000 --> 00:15:59,000
So when you pick coffee.
461
00:15:59,000 --> 00:16:01,000
How's blueberry on a bush?
462
00:16:01,000 --> 00:16:03,000
Well, blueberries, a blueberry bush.
463
00:16:03,000 --> 00:16:07,000
But when you pick coffee cherries, like when we went to Costa Rica and we picked coffee.
464
00:16:07,000 --> 00:16:09,000
I picked blueberries when I was a kid.
465
00:16:09,000 --> 00:16:10,000
And those are off a bush.
466
00:16:10,000 --> 00:16:11,000
Right.
467
00:16:11,000 --> 00:16:12,000
And so we're blueberries.
468
00:16:12,000 --> 00:16:13,000
Okay.
469
00:16:13,000 --> 00:16:18,000
And so then when we picked coffee cherries, it was off of a coffee tree, but they were,
470
00:16:18,000 --> 00:16:20,000
they're three to five feet tall.
471
00:16:20,000 --> 00:16:22,000
So they're like our coffee bush.
472
00:16:22,000 --> 00:16:23,000
Mini landscaping.
473
00:16:23,000 --> 00:16:28,000
And when you, when you, because we have baskets tighter around our stomachs, right?
474
00:16:28,000 --> 00:16:33,000
And then you grab the branch gently, not as rough as I did because I broke one.
475
00:16:33,000 --> 00:16:36,000
You have to pick them and put them in your basket.
476
00:16:36,000 --> 00:16:37,000
Like a bush.
477
00:16:37,000 --> 00:16:39,000
And you can only pick the ripe red cherries.
478
00:16:39,000 --> 00:16:41,000
But if they're too dark, they'll be fermented tasty.
479
00:16:41,000 --> 00:16:48,000
And if they're too orange or yellow or green, green, they're not done enough.
480
00:16:48,000 --> 00:16:50,000
And they won't ripen all at the same time.
481
00:16:50,000 --> 00:16:56,000
So literally the coffees that we have, people have to continually go back there and, and
482
00:16:56,000 --> 00:17:00,000
pick as it ripens over the two or three weeks.
483
00:17:00,000 --> 00:17:01,000
Yeah.
484
00:17:01,000 --> 00:17:02,000
The picking season.
485
00:17:02,000 --> 00:17:04,000
You want to go to Costa Rica next year?
486
00:17:04,000 --> 00:17:05,000
I think we should.
487
00:17:05,000 --> 00:17:06,000
Yeah.
488
00:17:06,000 --> 00:17:09,000
I in Costa Rica stayed in a tree house.
489
00:17:09,000 --> 00:17:13,000
Yes. After we all flew home, you and Kevin had a little mini vacation.
490
00:17:13,000 --> 00:17:16,000
The 10 coolest places to stay in Costa Rica.
491
00:17:16,000 --> 00:17:20,000
My friend stayed at a beautiful resort there, but we stayed at a very rustic tree house.
492
00:17:20,000 --> 00:17:21,000
Yeah.
493
00:17:21,000 --> 00:17:23,000
Were you like walking about mountain to like stay there?
494
00:17:23,000 --> 00:17:25,000
It was a switchback mountain.
495
00:17:25,000 --> 00:17:26,000
So you had to like do this thing.
496
00:17:26,000 --> 00:17:30,000
Like I took everything down in the morning and said, let's just put everything down here
497
00:17:30,000 --> 00:17:34,000
because I don't want to go back up there because it was forever.
498
00:17:34,000 --> 00:17:38,000
One night I was going up there and like, even like if a jag wire was chasing me, I would
499
00:17:38,000 --> 00:17:41,000
just be like, I'm done.
500
00:17:41,000 --> 00:17:43,000
So they called.
501
00:17:43,000 --> 00:17:45,000
I'm done with life.
502
00:17:45,000 --> 00:17:49,000
So that they were hoping in shape people would stay there.
503
00:17:49,000 --> 00:17:52,000
So they marketed it as that.
504
00:17:52,000 --> 00:17:57,000
So that older people would because I was well, it would be really hard if you had limited
505
00:17:57,000 --> 00:17:58,000
mobility, right?
506
00:17:58,000 --> 00:18:02,000
And I wouldn't consider you one with limited mobility, but walking off those switchbacks,
507
00:18:02,000 --> 00:18:04,000
everybody is at that point.
508
00:18:04,000 --> 00:18:09,000
But didn't monkeys come in your room and stuff?
509
00:18:09,000 --> 00:18:10,000
Up on the deck.
510
00:18:10,000 --> 00:18:11,000
Okay.
511
00:18:11,000 --> 00:18:13,000
It was like an adobe.
512
00:18:13,000 --> 00:18:15,000
Like a mud.
513
00:18:15,000 --> 00:18:17,000
Like a mud hut and a tree.
514
00:18:17,000 --> 00:18:18,000
Huh.
515
00:18:18,000 --> 00:18:20,000
Built on a platform in the mountains.
516
00:18:20,000 --> 00:18:21,000
Was it climate control?
517
00:18:21,000 --> 00:18:22,000
Did they have air conditioning?
518
00:18:22,000 --> 00:18:24,000
The way that they built it with that mud.
519
00:18:24,000 --> 00:18:25,000
It's really.
520
00:18:25,000 --> 00:18:27,000
Oh, but they're fans or anything to keep it cool.
521
00:18:27,000 --> 00:18:30,000
I think there's probably air conditioner or something there.
522
00:18:30,000 --> 00:18:35,000
Just like a bedroom and then on the backside, there's a wall with a little kitchen and a
523
00:18:35,000 --> 00:18:36,000
bathroom.
524
00:18:36,000 --> 00:18:40,000
Were you afraid like people from Minnesota, which I love, he met a Costa Rican woman and
525
00:18:40,000 --> 00:18:44,000
came and they designed like 10 different houses, different ways.
526
00:18:44,000 --> 00:18:47,000
So I'd want to go see them all.
527
00:18:47,000 --> 00:18:48,000
They were all different.
528
00:18:48,000 --> 00:18:49,000
That's super fun.
529
00:18:49,000 --> 00:18:52,000
Were you at all afraid of like wildlife coming in like giant spiders?
530
00:18:52,000 --> 00:18:54,000
Cause you're in the middle of like the jungle.
531
00:18:54,000 --> 00:18:57,000
Oh, bugs will find a way.
532
00:18:57,000 --> 00:19:01,000
I felt better about that, but I did bring because I've been to Costa Rica before I've
533
00:19:01,000 --> 00:19:04,000
got a mosquito net bed cover just in case.
534
00:19:04,000 --> 00:19:05,000
Did you put it out?
535
00:19:05,000 --> 00:19:06,000
No, we didn't need to.
536
00:19:06,000 --> 00:19:07,000
There was nothing up there.
537
00:19:07,000 --> 00:19:08,000
That's brave.
538
00:19:08,000 --> 00:19:09,000
That's brave.
539
00:19:09,000 --> 00:19:11,000
But the monkeys on the porch.
540
00:19:11,000 --> 00:19:15,000
So they tell me, Oh, if a monkey bites you, first of all, monkey will steal everything
541
00:19:15,000 --> 00:19:17,000
that can from you.
542
00:19:17,000 --> 00:19:20,000
And if a monkey bites you, you need 20 shots in your belly button.
543
00:19:20,000 --> 00:19:21,000
Whoa.
544
00:19:21,000 --> 00:19:25,000
And I'm like, Oh, because they're, um, I'm a gosh.
545
00:19:25,000 --> 00:19:26,000
Because they're wild.
546
00:19:26,000 --> 00:19:31,000
Well, but they're like the start of like every like apocalyptic, you know, like, what was
547
00:19:31,000 --> 00:19:32,000
that outbreak?
548
00:19:32,000 --> 00:19:33,000
Yeah.
549
00:19:33,000 --> 00:19:36,000
Of course was out on the deck playing with the monkeys and I was like in the window.
550
00:19:36,000 --> 00:19:39,000
I'm not getting 20 shots in my stomach.
551
00:19:39,000 --> 00:19:40,000
Kevin.
552
00:19:40,000 --> 00:19:42,000
I'm not doing that.
553
00:19:42,000 --> 00:19:44,000
No, that's horrifying.
554
00:19:44,000 --> 00:19:47,000
It was really cool to watch them.
555
00:19:47,000 --> 00:19:50,000
Uh, harvest the coffee.
556
00:19:50,000 --> 00:19:51,000
Yeah.
557
00:19:51,000 --> 00:19:52,000
And sort the coffee.
558
00:19:52,000 --> 00:19:54,000
They were so quick at it because they.
559
00:19:54,000 --> 00:20:00,000
Yeah, I should post that video later of the ladies sorting the beans because they do it
560
00:20:00,000 --> 00:20:01,000
by hand.
561
00:20:01,000 --> 00:20:02,000
It's not.
562
00:20:02,000 --> 00:20:05,000
So they, because there's different grades of coffee.
563
00:20:05,000 --> 00:20:09,000
So they've got, and then they take out the defects and then, but then there's still different
564
00:20:09,000 --> 00:20:10,000
grades of coffee.
565
00:20:10,000 --> 00:20:14,000
Well, and just so you know, if there's a defect in your coffee, so like if the coffee isn't
566
00:20:14,000 --> 00:20:18,000
formed all the way, the coffee, cherry, the coffee seed, coffee bean, if it's not formed
567
00:20:18,000 --> 00:20:19,000
all the way, it.
568
00:20:19,000 --> 00:20:22,000
Like creates negative notes in your cup.
569
00:20:22,000 --> 00:20:23,000
So that's why we own them.
570
00:20:23,000 --> 00:20:27,000
That's why we only source specialty grade one coffee.
571
00:20:27,000 --> 00:20:29,000
And if you ever look at the chart, we should bring the chart in sometime.
572
00:20:29,000 --> 00:20:34,000
You can kind of see like the top coffee and how it looks beautiful and even in uniform.
573
00:20:34,000 --> 00:20:42,000
And then you kind of get down to the others that are not good when you cup coffee or real
574
00:20:42,000 --> 00:20:46,000
taste five or seven cups because one can still have a defect.
575
00:20:46,000 --> 00:20:51,000
So you can write that coffee really low when actually just had one single bean.
576
00:20:51,000 --> 00:20:52,000
Yeah.
577
00:20:52,000 --> 00:20:54,000
And it will affect the whole cup.
578
00:20:54,000 --> 00:20:59,000
And that's sometimes you can get a cup of coffee that isn't up to par and it really can be
579
00:20:59,000 --> 00:21:00,000
just from one single being in there.
580
00:21:00,000 --> 00:21:05,000
You know what we should do for a live is do an actual cupping.
581
00:21:05,000 --> 00:21:14,000
Okay, so cupping is kind of gross because you have little ceramic cups with ground coffee
582
00:21:14,000 --> 00:21:15,000
in it.
583
00:21:15,000 --> 00:21:16,600
They pour hot water over it.
584
00:21:16,600 --> 00:21:18,400
They let it bloom for like four minutes.
585
00:21:18,400 --> 00:21:22,400
So in other words, like the coffee grounds are rising to the top of the cup and then
586
00:21:22,400 --> 00:21:23,400
you use spoons.
587
00:21:23,400 --> 00:21:24,400
And you have to break the crust.
588
00:21:24,400 --> 00:21:26,400
Yeah, to break the crust.
589
00:21:26,400 --> 00:21:27,400
And then you have to.
590
00:21:27,400 --> 00:21:29,400
So each per, we're sharing cups, right?
591
00:21:29,400 --> 00:21:32,400
So I mean, and I don't know that I've done a good tasting since COVID.
592
00:21:32,400 --> 00:21:33,400
So you're sharing spoons.
593
00:21:33,400 --> 00:21:34,400
Yeah.
594
00:21:34,400 --> 00:21:35,400
You don't, you don't share spoons.
595
00:21:35,400 --> 00:21:36,400
You get your own spoon.
596
00:21:36,400 --> 00:21:37,400
You rinse them.
597
00:21:37,400 --> 00:21:38,400
You keep your spoon.
598
00:21:38,400 --> 00:21:39,400
In the cup thing.
599
00:21:39,400 --> 00:21:42,400
But you come up to the cup and you slurp the coffee.
600
00:21:42,400 --> 00:21:46,400
Like you do it three times and you smell the back of your spoon.
601
00:21:46,400 --> 00:21:47,400
Yeah.
602
00:21:47,400 --> 00:21:48,400
And then you slurp it.
603
00:21:48,400 --> 00:21:51,400
So then you get like your whole tongue coated with the flavoring.
604
00:21:51,400 --> 00:21:53,400
So you get it to the back of your tongue too.
605
00:21:53,400 --> 00:21:54,400
Yes.
606
00:21:54,400 --> 00:21:56,400
And then you're supposed to spit it out when you're done.
607
00:21:56,400 --> 00:22:00,400
Cause if you just like drink it every time, you're going to be like me on my second cup
608
00:22:00,400 --> 00:22:01,400
of coffee.
609
00:22:01,400 --> 00:22:02,400
But it's like online.
610
00:22:02,400 --> 00:22:04,400
People really spit it out every time.
611
00:22:04,400 --> 00:22:05,400
You shouldn't.
612
00:22:05,400 --> 00:22:07,400
Why waste good alcohol?
613
00:22:07,400 --> 00:22:08,400
But yeah.
614
00:22:08,400 --> 00:22:13,400
So you do it in the whole slurpy thing and then you're supposed to spit and have a spit
615
00:22:13,400 --> 00:22:14,400
too.
616
00:22:14,400 --> 00:22:15,400
Yeah.
617
00:22:15,400 --> 00:22:16,400
Which is super gross, right?
618
00:22:16,400 --> 00:22:17,400
And then you're supposed to do it with strangers.
619
00:22:17,400 --> 00:22:21,400
So yeah, so we went to a coffee and it was.
620
00:22:21,400 --> 00:22:23,400
We did one in Costa Rica.
621
00:22:23,400 --> 00:22:26,400
We did one at the specially coffee show.
622
00:22:26,400 --> 00:22:27,400
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
623
00:22:27,400 --> 00:22:28,400
The one we were at.
624
00:22:28,400 --> 00:22:31,400
Coffee Fest in Atlanta a few years ago.
625
00:22:31,400 --> 00:22:32,400
We signed up to do one.
626
00:22:32,400 --> 00:22:34,400
And of course they made me go first.
627
00:22:34,400 --> 00:22:42,400
And when I went to slurp it, I accidentally like, I don't know if I went up my nose.
628
00:22:42,400 --> 00:22:43,400
I remember this.
629
00:22:43,400 --> 00:22:44,400
I slurped very aggressively.
630
00:22:44,400 --> 00:22:47,400
And then I started like coughing and joking.
631
00:22:47,400 --> 00:22:51,400
And then they were laughing and we were laughing.
632
00:22:51,400 --> 00:22:54,400
We were having a lot of fun in our coffee.
633
00:22:54,400 --> 00:22:58,400
Apparently it's a very serious thing, but we were on the floor laughing out a little
634
00:22:58,400 --> 00:22:59,400
bit.
635
00:22:59,400 --> 00:23:04,400
But he actually said we were the perfect examples because we are how we're supposed to have
636
00:23:04,400 --> 00:23:05,400
a coffee cup.
637
00:23:05,400 --> 00:23:07,400
It's supposed to be a fun experience.
638
00:23:07,400 --> 00:23:11,400
Like a wine tasting paired with food and laughter and everybody tastes things differently.
639
00:23:11,400 --> 00:23:13,400
So talking about it.
640
00:23:13,400 --> 00:23:17,400
What I liked about what he did was he went around and he said, what did you taste in
641
00:23:17,400 --> 00:23:18,400
that?
642
00:23:18,400 --> 00:23:19,400
What did you taste?
643
00:23:19,400 --> 00:23:20,400
And everybody had something different.
644
00:23:20,400 --> 00:23:24,400
And he said there's no wrong answers in that because you might pick out a cherry note in
645
00:23:24,400 --> 00:23:25,400
a coffee.
646
00:23:25,400 --> 00:23:26,400
I might pick out an earthy note.
647
00:23:26,400 --> 00:23:28,400
It might be brighter to you.
648
00:23:28,400 --> 00:23:29,400
So that was interesting.
649
00:23:29,400 --> 00:23:32,720
He's like, we say what flavor profile is in a cup of coffee.
650
00:23:32,720 --> 00:23:33,720
You might pick up something else.
651
00:23:33,720 --> 00:23:37,400
Well, it is interesting too because you started over.
652
00:23:37,400 --> 00:23:43,000
You can do like a smell like how does what does sour smell like?
653
00:23:43,000 --> 00:23:44,720
What do you do?
654
00:23:44,720 --> 00:23:50,280
Because you know it, but when you have a reference point to it, you're like, yes, that's what
655
00:23:50,280 --> 00:23:51,280
that is.
656
00:23:51,280 --> 00:23:52,280
Yes.
657
00:23:52,280 --> 00:23:55,360
You've got more nomenclature to describe coffee.
658
00:23:55,360 --> 00:24:00,200
So from a smell perspective and then from a taste perspective, but everybody has different
659
00:24:00,200 --> 00:24:02,000
amounts of taste buds.
660
00:24:02,000 --> 00:24:05,680
So some people have a super tongue, which is such a weird thing to say.
661
00:24:05,680 --> 00:24:13,400
Like really salty things really, you might have just more advanced tasting ability.
662
00:24:13,400 --> 00:24:18,480
Something I heard years ago is that people who like dark rose coffees are usually smokers
663
00:24:18,480 --> 00:24:22,520
or maybe on the heavier side because they don't have as many taste buds.
664
00:24:22,520 --> 00:24:24,560
So they eat more, right?
665
00:24:24,560 --> 00:24:25,960
Because they can't taste things.
666
00:24:25,960 --> 00:24:29,280
I don't know if that's still a true thing, but it was a thing I heard years ago.
667
00:24:29,280 --> 00:24:33,840
But I can see where you're looking because you need more flavor to get that, which, and
668
00:24:33,840 --> 00:24:38,040
maybe that's why Michigan cherry quite honestly isn't one of my favorites because I think
669
00:24:38,040 --> 00:24:39,400
I don't like really salty things.
670
00:24:39,400 --> 00:24:40,960
I don't spicy things.
671
00:24:40,960 --> 00:24:44,760
And I probably get more sensitive and can taste more nuances.
672
00:24:44,760 --> 00:24:46,720
My problem is that like all the food.
673
00:24:46,720 --> 00:24:49,960
Oh, give me some bacon wrap dates.
674
00:24:49,960 --> 00:24:52,840
I'm surprised you're not like, what's for lunch?
675
00:24:52,840 --> 00:24:57,320
Well, listen, I brought my lunch, but it doesn't bring me joy.
676
00:24:57,320 --> 00:24:59,120
But I tried to have a sale last night.
677
00:24:59,120 --> 00:25:00,120
It was not good.
678
00:25:00,120 --> 00:25:01,120
That's all I'm going to say.
679
00:25:01,120 --> 00:25:02,840
Listen, I made, I made some.
680
00:25:02,840 --> 00:25:03,840
Okay.
681
00:25:03,840 --> 00:25:07,240
Cause at baseball the other night, one of the grandmas made cookies and Alex came over
682
00:25:07,240 --> 00:25:08,240
my son.
683
00:25:08,240 --> 00:25:09,240
He was eating the cookies.
684
00:25:09,240 --> 00:25:10,240
I said, how do those rank up to moms?
685
00:25:10,240 --> 00:25:11,240
He's like, they're okay.
686
00:25:11,240 --> 00:25:15,080
And I said, I'm going to show Peyton's grandma who makes good cookies.
687
00:25:15,080 --> 00:25:19,640
So I have a bag full of cookies right now because I have to show nice Cheryl.
688
00:25:19,640 --> 00:25:20,640
He just makes.
689
00:25:20,640 --> 00:25:22,640
I do show you love.
690
00:25:22,640 --> 00:25:23,640
Honestly.
691
00:25:23,640 --> 00:25:26,000
It's like, I do.
692
00:25:26,000 --> 00:25:30,040
So I have cookies if you want some because you know, that brings me joy, but I have all
693
00:25:30,040 --> 00:25:32,000
the cookies with me today.
694
00:25:32,000 --> 00:25:35,360
Some with walnuts, some without cause I have to show Peyton's grandma who makes the good
695
00:25:35,360 --> 00:25:36,360
cookies.
696
00:25:36,360 --> 00:25:37,360
Oh yeah.
697
00:25:37,360 --> 00:25:40,280
You've got to bring the snack.
698
00:25:40,280 --> 00:25:41,280
I could just give you my cookies.
699
00:25:41,280 --> 00:25:44,280
I thought I'd get it like a sub or something.
700
00:25:44,280 --> 00:25:47,280
Yeah, that sounds good.
701
00:25:47,280 --> 00:25:48,280
Yeah.
702
00:25:48,280 --> 00:25:49,280
No.
703
00:25:49,280 --> 00:25:51,800
So hopefully you understand a little bit more out there.
704
00:25:51,800 --> 00:25:53,040
Both really wonderful.
705
00:25:53,040 --> 00:25:59,520
I, if you, I, I've got to believe if you like Michigan cherry, you'll like black cherry too.
706
00:25:59,520 --> 00:26:03,200
And then I think it's just like have a different one every day.
707
00:26:03,200 --> 00:26:04,200
Yeah.
708
00:26:04,200 --> 00:26:09,600
And if you're not a huge fan of Michigan cherry, I think you might like black cherry.
709
00:26:09,600 --> 00:26:11,280
I would give it a shot and just see.
710
00:26:11,280 --> 00:26:16,920
I don't, are we going to have that in any of our like multi-pack ones that we're working
711
00:26:16,920 --> 00:26:17,920
on?
712
00:26:17,920 --> 00:26:18,920
Oh yeah.
713
00:26:18,920 --> 00:26:19,920
We're picking up with our new variety pack.
714
00:26:19,920 --> 00:26:20,920
Yeah, we are.
715
00:26:20,920 --> 00:26:24,600
We're going to have a new variety pack and that will have the black cherry in it.
716
00:26:24,600 --> 00:26:31,680
And then in a couple months, it will have all the other cake cups in it too that we're
717
00:26:31,680 --> 00:26:36,920
English toffee, the, um, cocoa mocha nut, German chocolate, or was German chocolate we were
718
00:26:36,920 --> 00:26:39,280
doing instead of cocoa mocha and butter room.
719
00:26:39,280 --> 00:26:40,880
No, butter room we already have.
720
00:26:40,880 --> 00:26:42,880
Did you say you said English toffee?
721
00:26:42,880 --> 00:26:48,920
Uh, there, gosh, why is it not coming to me?
722
00:26:48,920 --> 00:26:50,000
That's that one's already in.
723
00:26:50,000 --> 00:26:54,440
We are coming up with caramel apple and Mary Mocha meant she died.
724
00:26:54,440 --> 00:26:58,360
Oh, Vermont maple or not Vermont maple maple syrup maple syrup.
725
00:26:58,360 --> 00:27:02,320
So those will be when we get the new cake up lids in, they'll be in the new box.
726
00:27:02,320 --> 00:27:04,880
Yeah, but we are doing a 48 count box.
727
00:27:04,880 --> 00:27:08,480
So you will get, uh, two of every flavor.
728
00:27:08,480 --> 00:27:13,720
So a 48 count mystery box or not mystery box variety box variety box so that you can
729
00:27:13,720 --> 00:27:16,560
really, and that's what honestly my friends requested.
730
00:27:16,560 --> 00:27:18,240
Like, Lori, just put a box of that.
731
00:27:18,240 --> 00:27:20,800
Yeah, because we have a 12 count variety box.
732
00:27:20,800 --> 00:27:21,920
We have a 20 count.
733
00:27:21,920 --> 00:27:23,240
I want them all.
734
00:27:23,240 --> 00:27:26,680
So this would be like the next stop, like, especially if you get tried something and
735
00:27:26,680 --> 00:27:30,880
you really like, I want a second cup of that, then you'll have a second cup of that, which
736
00:27:30,880 --> 00:27:31,880
is really good.
737
00:27:31,880 --> 00:27:36,680
And the 48 counts come with free shipping.
738
00:27:36,680 --> 00:27:37,680
They do.
739
00:27:37,680 --> 00:27:38,680
Yeah, they do.
740
00:27:38,680 --> 00:27:41,920
So the price you're like, why would I pay this much more or why is it similar?
741
00:27:41,920 --> 00:27:43,920
Well, it's because shipping is included.
742
00:27:43,920 --> 00:27:44,920
Yeah.
743
00:27:44,920 --> 00:27:46,520
So this is what they ship in.
744
00:27:46,520 --> 00:27:47,520
Yeah.
745
00:27:47,520 --> 00:27:48,920
Well, if you just buy one, they ship in this.
746
00:27:48,920 --> 00:27:49,920
Yeah.
747
00:27:49,920 --> 00:27:50,920
And this is.
748
00:27:50,920 --> 00:27:54,360
Yeah, this is the 48 count box.
749
00:27:54,360 --> 00:27:55,360
Yeah, the bulk.
750
00:27:55,360 --> 00:27:56,360
It's a nice huge size.
751
00:27:56,360 --> 00:28:01,520
But yeah, so the variety pack, I know Britain's getting that together, so that will be available
752
00:28:01,520 --> 00:28:02,520
soon.
753
00:28:02,520 --> 00:28:03,520
Yeah.
754
00:28:03,520 --> 00:28:07,280
You're thinking about maybe coming up with some, you know, maybe desserts with the sellers
755
00:28:07,280 --> 00:28:08,280
or, but we're not sure.
756
00:28:08,280 --> 00:28:12,680
We're just gonna start with a variety pack and go from there.
757
00:28:12,680 --> 00:28:13,680
And we're already working on Christmas.
758
00:28:13,680 --> 00:28:17,160
In a right roast, if you do like non-flavored coffees, putting together.
759
00:28:17,160 --> 00:28:19,160
Oh, that's a good idea.
760
00:28:19,160 --> 00:28:25,200
Yeah, because we have the right roast sampler now.
761
00:28:25,200 --> 00:28:29,560
That's a mouthful.
762
00:28:29,560 --> 00:28:34,920
French roast, Colombian, Colombian, yeah.
763
00:28:34,920 --> 00:28:35,920
Yeah.
764
00:28:35,920 --> 00:28:41,320
And then we are playing with another idea of putting vitamins in coffee.
765
00:28:41,320 --> 00:28:43,480
Oh, we're still doing that, huh?
766
00:28:43,480 --> 00:28:44,480
Yeah.
767
00:28:44,480 --> 00:28:45,480
Morning vitamins.
768
00:28:45,480 --> 00:28:46,480
Okay.
769
00:28:46,480 --> 00:28:49,480
So, I don't know.
770
00:28:49,480 --> 00:28:50,480
It might be fun.
771
00:28:50,480 --> 00:28:51,560
I would do that, right?
772
00:28:51,560 --> 00:28:53,200
Because I forget to take my vitamins all the time.
773
00:28:53,200 --> 00:28:55,760
So if you just sit it in your coffee, then you're like, oh, I've got it.
774
00:28:55,760 --> 00:28:56,760
I've got it for the day.
775
00:28:56,760 --> 00:28:57,760
Right.
776
00:28:57,760 --> 00:28:58,760
Yeah.
777
00:28:58,760 --> 00:28:59,760
That's pretty smart.
778
00:28:59,760 --> 00:29:00,760
So, yeah.
779
00:29:00,760 --> 00:29:01,760
Chelsea, we always have something.
780
00:29:01,760 --> 00:29:04,160
We're always thinking about something.
781
00:29:04,160 --> 00:29:06,760
There's so many ideas and so many things to do, you know.
782
00:29:06,760 --> 00:29:07,760
I know.
783
00:29:07,760 --> 00:29:08,760
It's just picking which one.
784
00:29:08,760 --> 00:29:09,760
Yeah.
785
00:29:09,760 --> 00:29:14,760
And we've got something fun too that we will share in a couple weeks.
786
00:29:14,760 --> 00:29:18,760
So, yeah, we're going to be doing a really fun thing that's coming up.
787
00:29:18,760 --> 00:29:20,760
I'm not sure what she's talking about.
788
00:29:20,760 --> 00:29:21,760
Yeah.
789
00:29:21,760 --> 00:29:23,760
If you like automated things, it's kind of cool.
790
00:29:23,760 --> 00:29:28,760
I used to sit at a restaurant conference and that's what everybody was just talking
791
00:29:28,760 --> 00:29:29,760
about.
792
00:29:29,760 --> 00:29:30,760
It was AI.
793
00:29:30,760 --> 00:29:31,760
Yeah.
794
00:29:31,760 --> 00:29:32,760
It was AI, everything.
795
00:29:32,760 --> 00:29:34,760
Unless you're Snapchat right now, everybody's hating that bot.
796
00:29:34,760 --> 00:29:40,760
And I said I did not want the Snapchat AI and now it messaged me.
797
00:29:40,760 --> 00:29:41,760
That's weird.
798
00:29:41,760 --> 00:29:42,760
I know.
799
00:29:42,760 --> 00:29:43,760
You said no.
800
00:29:43,760 --> 00:29:49,760
I mean, the Snapchat, if, if, I mean, it's so hard to know what's real and what's myth
801
00:29:49,760 --> 00:29:50,760
at some point.
802
00:29:50,760 --> 00:29:55,760
But if those screenshots that people took are true of that, it is bizarre.
803
00:29:55,760 --> 00:29:56,760
Yeah.
804
00:29:56,760 --> 00:29:57,760
And kind of creepy, right?
805
00:29:57,760 --> 00:29:59,760
Because they're like, you don't know where I am.
806
00:29:59,760 --> 00:30:01,760
A person, but then it's not a person.
807
00:30:01,760 --> 00:30:03,760
It's like, no, of course I'm not a person.
808
00:30:03,760 --> 00:30:07,760
One's like, I have a golden retriever and all this like really stuff.
809
00:30:07,760 --> 00:30:09,760
And then it's like, no, I'm AI.
810
00:30:09,760 --> 00:30:10,760
I can't be a person.
811
00:30:10,760 --> 00:30:11,760
Yeah.
812
00:30:11,760 --> 00:30:12,760
That doesn't make me feel comfy.
813
00:30:12,760 --> 00:30:17,760
I mean, I know like our phones are listening to us right now, but like, I don't like it.
814
00:30:17,760 --> 00:30:18,760
Yeah.
815
00:30:18,760 --> 00:30:20,760
Oh, thanks for reminding me, Bill.
816
00:30:20,760 --> 00:30:22,760
I'll pick somebody today.
817
00:30:22,760 --> 00:30:24,760
The pet photo contest.
818
00:30:24,760 --> 00:30:26,760
Yeah, we did.
819
00:30:26,760 --> 00:30:31,760
But you know, I put it in when I made the post in with a normal sale and I think people
820
00:30:31,760 --> 00:30:32,760
dismissed it.
821
00:30:32,760 --> 00:30:33,760
We only had a few people enter.
822
00:30:33,760 --> 00:30:39,760
So I know I kind of want to do it again to get like everybody to send me pictures of
823
00:30:39,760 --> 00:30:42,760
their dogs because I just want to see people's pictures of everybody's dogs.
824
00:30:42,760 --> 00:30:44,760
You know, I just love seeing that.
825
00:30:44,760 --> 00:30:45,760
Oh, it's just I love simple pets.
826
00:30:45,760 --> 00:30:46,760
I know.
827
00:30:46,760 --> 00:30:47,760
They're such our babies.
828
00:30:47,760 --> 00:30:48,760
And Facebook.
829
00:30:48,760 --> 00:30:51,760
I would like to subscribe to so many pet things.
830
00:30:51,760 --> 00:30:52,760
I know.
831
00:30:52,760 --> 00:30:57,760
And we're like, we're, we're doing our, our pet stuff where we're working towards it.
832
00:30:57,760 --> 00:30:58,760
So yeah.
833
00:30:58,760 --> 00:31:00,760
Hopefully they'll have that same.
834
00:31:00,760 --> 00:31:01,760
Yeah.
835
00:31:01,760 --> 00:31:02,760
Super fun.
836
00:31:02,760 --> 00:31:03,760
Yes.
837
00:31:03,760 --> 00:31:04,760
Okay.
838
00:31:04,760 --> 00:31:08,760
Well, I hope we made it a little clear.
839
00:31:08,760 --> 00:31:12,760
The difference between Michigan cherry or black cherry or maybe just confused you more.
840
00:31:12,760 --> 00:31:13,760
Yeah, that's very possible.
841
00:31:13,760 --> 00:31:14,760
We confuse ourselves.
842
00:31:14,760 --> 00:31:15,760
Delicious flavors.
843
00:31:15,760 --> 00:31:16,760
Yes.
844
00:31:16,760 --> 00:31:20,260
There's a reason why Michigan cherry is the best seller and there's a reason why black
845
00:31:20,260 --> 00:31:24,760
cherry is going to be right up to, oh my God, it says sweet off the vine on the box.
846
00:31:24,760 --> 00:31:29,760
I know you did.
847
00:31:29,760 --> 00:31:31,760
And I love you for it.
848
00:31:31,760 --> 00:31:36,760
This is so making my day.
849
00:31:36,760 --> 00:31:38,760
You guys, I've been making fun of her for weeks.
850
00:31:38,760 --> 00:31:41,760
Every time she says sweet off the vine, I said, Lori, it's not a vine.
851
00:31:41,760 --> 00:31:44,760
And I look at the box and it's like, huh, yeah, all right.
852
00:31:44,760 --> 00:31:46,760
It says sweet off the vine on there.
853
00:31:46,760 --> 00:31:48,760
Our box says it is.
854
00:31:48,760 --> 00:31:49,760
I win.
855
00:31:49,760 --> 00:31:50,760
Yep.
856
00:31:50,760 --> 00:31:56,760
You always do win, but it brings me joy.
857
00:31:56,760 --> 00:31:59,760
I'm keeping this box forever because like we're going to end up changing it eventually.
858
00:31:59,760 --> 00:32:01,760
I'm keeping it forever.
859
00:32:01,760 --> 00:32:03,760
Sweet off the stick.
860
00:32:03,760 --> 00:32:05,760
It's not a stick.
861
00:32:05,760 --> 00:32:07,760
Sweet off the stem.
862
00:32:07,760 --> 00:32:09,760
It sounds a branch.
863
00:32:09,760 --> 00:32:11,760
Sweet off the vine.
864
00:32:11,760 --> 00:32:14,760
How about sweet from the farm, sweet from the orchard?
865
00:32:14,760 --> 00:32:16,760
It's fresh.
866
00:32:16,760 --> 00:32:18,760
Picked from the orchard?
867
00:32:18,760 --> 00:32:19,760
Fresh daily?
868
00:32:19,760 --> 00:32:20,760
No.
869
00:32:20,760 --> 00:32:21,760
No.
870
00:32:21,760 --> 00:32:25,760
This is what happens when we start trying to be creative and then some days we just
871
00:32:25,760 --> 00:32:26,760
don't have it.
872
00:32:26,760 --> 00:32:28,760
Today's one of those days.
873
00:32:28,760 --> 00:32:29,760
That's cute.
874
00:32:29,760 --> 00:32:30,760
All right.
875
00:32:30,760 --> 00:32:32,760
Well, everybody have a great week.
876
00:32:32,760 --> 00:32:33,760
Yeah.
877
00:32:33,760 --> 00:32:35,760
Well, you are ordering black cherries.
878
00:32:35,760 --> 00:32:36,760
Thank you.
879
00:32:36,760 --> 00:32:37,760
Slow down on the black cherry.
880
00:32:37,760 --> 00:32:38,760
Yeah.
881
00:32:38,760 --> 00:32:39,760
We'll make more.
882
00:32:39,760 --> 00:32:40,760
Yeah.
00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:03,000
Hello. Good morning.
2
00:00:03,000 --> 00:00:09,000
Oh, right? I feel like this is like a tired morning.
3
00:00:09,000 --> 00:00:12,000
It's always behind the scenes all the technical stuff that's going on.
4
00:00:12,000 --> 00:00:13,000
Right.
5
00:00:13,000 --> 00:00:15,000
Microphones, they don't work.
6
00:00:15,000 --> 00:00:18,000
Well, this is the cable.
7
00:00:18,000 --> 00:00:19,000
Yeah.
8
00:00:19,000 --> 00:00:22,000
Good morning, I'm Lori.
9
00:00:22,000 --> 00:00:24,000
Yeah, are you on that microphone?
10
00:00:24,000 --> 00:00:25,000
I don't know, am I?
11
00:00:25,000 --> 00:00:26,000
I think you're just gonna be on this one.
12
00:00:26,000 --> 00:00:28,000
Oh no, it's not plugged in.
13
00:00:28,000 --> 00:00:30,000
You're gonna plug it in and you just walk away.
14
00:00:30,000 --> 00:00:31,000
Oh, okay.
15
00:00:31,000 --> 00:00:32,000
Logan!
16
00:00:32,000 --> 00:00:35,000
You're Britain.
17
00:00:35,000 --> 00:00:36,000
I'm Britain.
18
00:00:36,000 --> 00:00:37,000
I'm Patty if you can hear me.
19
00:00:37,000 --> 00:00:38,000
If you can hear Patty.
20
00:00:38,000 --> 00:00:39,000
Yeah.
21
00:00:39,000 --> 00:00:41,000
I'm not sure.
22
00:00:41,000 --> 00:00:42,000
We don't know.
23
00:00:42,000 --> 00:00:43,000
Can you hear Patty?
24
00:00:43,000 --> 00:00:45,000
Hello Jennifer.
25
00:00:45,000 --> 00:00:47,000
Hello.
26
00:00:47,000 --> 00:00:48,000
I know.
27
00:00:48,000 --> 00:00:49,000
That one's definitely not plugged in.
28
00:00:49,000 --> 00:00:50,000
Yeah.
29
00:00:50,000 --> 00:00:51,000
But I don't know if he unplugged your other one.
30
00:00:51,000 --> 00:00:52,000
I don't know.
31
00:00:52,000 --> 00:00:53,000
He just walked away.
32
00:00:53,000 --> 00:00:55,000
Also, our technical issues are funny.
33
00:00:55,000 --> 00:00:57,000
We try to go more high tech and I think we do good,
34
00:00:57,000 --> 00:00:59,000
but then sometimes there's no battery.
35
00:00:59,000 --> 00:01:01,000
We're modeling our back space.
36
00:01:01,000 --> 00:01:03,000
She can hear you.
37
00:01:03,000 --> 00:01:04,000
Okay, good.
38
00:01:04,000 --> 00:01:06,000
Our back space.
39
00:01:06,000 --> 00:01:08,000
Say that differently.
40
00:01:08,000 --> 00:01:10,000
Our back office space.
41
00:01:10,000 --> 00:01:12,000
Our back office space.
42
00:01:12,000 --> 00:01:13,000
Yeah.
43
00:01:13,000 --> 00:01:16,000
Our whole office space, but we're starting on the back.
44
00:01:16,000 --> 00:01:18,000
So, good morning.
45
00:01:18,000 --> 00:01:19,000
Oh my gosh.
46
00:01:19,000 --> 00:01:21,000
I just like to take a bath.
47
00:01:21,000 --> 00:01:23,000
I know, right?
48
00:01:23,000 --> 00:01:25,000
Yeah, yesterday was super busy.
49
00:01:25,000 --> 00:01:27,000
It was your birthday.
50
00:01:27,000 --> 00:01:29,000
It was my birthday.
51
00:01:29,000 --> 00:01:31,000
So, it was just like a lot of stuff to do.
52
00:01:31,000 --> 00:01:32,000
Yes.
53
00:01:32,000 --> 00:01:36,000
And as soon as that email went out that we have black cherry available,
54
00:01:36,000 --> 00:01:38,000
people went nuts.
55
00:01:38,000 --> 00:01:40,000
I kept looking at the back end and going,
56
00:01:40,000 --> 00:01:42,000
like, right, and why are there so many orders coming in?
57
00:01:42,000 --> 00:01:43,000
It's Tuesday.
58
00:01:43,000 --> 00:01:44,000
What's going on?
59
00:01:44,000 --> 00:01:45,000
Just like black cherry.
60
00:01:45,000 --> 00:01:46,000
I know.
61
00:01:46,000 --> 00:01:48,000
So, weird how marketing works.
62
00:01:48,000 --> 00:01:49,000
Yeah.
63
00:01:49,000 --> 00:01:52,000
I'm going to taste the Michigan cherry versus black cherry today.
64
00:01:52,000 --> 00:01:55,000
Sounds like crickets again.
65
00:01:55,000 --> 00:01:57,000
That's what Logan was worried about.
66
00:01:57,000 --> 00:01:59,000
It's my mic.
67
00:01:59,000 --> 00:02:00,000
Alan, hook.
68
00:02:00,000 --> 00:02:01,000
Yeah.
69
00:02:01,000 --> 00:02:02,000
Do we need to switch spots?
70
00:02:02,000 --> 00:02:03,000
Yeah.
71
00:02:03,000 --> 00:02:05,000
Or give you, how do we hook this one in?
72
00:02:05,000 --> 00:02:06,000
I'll do it.
73
00:02:06,000 --> 00:02:07,000
Okay.
74
00:02:07,000 --> 00:02:09,000
Something on the cord.
75
00:02:09,000 --> 00:02:11,000
It's this cord that's not working.
76
00:02:11,000 --> 00:02:13,000
Okay, we're going to just, like, move around for a second.
77
00:02:13,000 --> 00:02:15,000
We're going to play musicals later.
78
00:02:15,000 --> 00:02:16,000
Yeah.
79
00:02:16,000 --> 00:02:17,000
Bill says happy birthday to you.
80
00:02:17,000 --> 00:02:18,000
Thank you.
81
00:02:18,000 --> 00:02:19,000
Yeah.
82
00:02:19,000 --> 00:02:20,000
It's kind of weird.
83
00:02:20,000 --> 00:02:22,000
I'm going to really selfish with your note.
84
00:02:22,000 --> 00:02:23,000
I have a 32-year-old.
85
00:02:23,000 --> 00:02:24,000
It's odd.
86
00:02:24,000 --> 00:02:26,000
Are we supposed to say how old she is?
87
00:02:26,000 --> 00:02:28,000
I'm not that much older.
88
00:02:28,000 --> 00:02:29,000
I'm going to.
89
00:02:29,000 --> 00:02:31,000
I don't really care how old I am.
90
00:02:31,000 --> 00:02:32,000
It doesn't, like, affect me.
91
00:02:32,000 --> 00:02:33,000
I'm literally just stepping over the table.
92
00:02:33,000 --> 00:02:34,000
My 30s were so fast.
93
00:02:34,000 --> 00:02:35,000
Just don't get your copy.
94
00:02:35,000 --> 00:02:36,000
My 30s were my favorite.
95
00:02:36,000 --> 00:02:37,000
This is what we do.
96
00:02:37,000 --> 00:02:38,000
Good for you.
97
00:02:38,000 --> 00:02:39,000
I'm almost out of my 30s.
98
00:02:39,000 --> 00:02:41,000
I was pregnant on my 20s to my 30s,
99
00:02:41,000 --> 00:02:43,000
where I just, so much more.
100
00:02:43,000 --> 00:02:44,000
Man.
101
00:02:44,000 --> 00:02:45,000
Okay, is that better?
102
00:02:45,000 --> 00:02:46,000
You all right?
103
00:02:46,000 --> 00:02:47,000
I could have just put, probably,
104
00:02:47,000 --> 00:02:50,000
and gave you mine rather than, you know,
105
00:02:50,000 --> 00:02:51,000
okay.
106
00:02:51,000 --> 00:02:52,000
Yeah.
107
00:02:52,000 --> 00:02:54,000
And it's, we had to get our Easter eggs ready.
108
00:02:54,000 --> 00:02:55,000
So that took some.
109
00:02:55,000 --> 00:02:57,000
Can we do an adult Easter egg hunt?
110
00:02:57,000 --> 00:02:59,000
So the, um, the Easter eggs,
111
00:02:59,000 --> 00:03:00,000
you can go find them.
112
00:03:00,000 --> 00:03:03,000
What kind of things could you find in these Easter eggs?
113
00:03:03,000 --> 00:03:05,000
So many things.
114
00:03:05,000 --> 00:03:06,000
So many things.
115
00:03:06,000 --> 00:03:09,000
Mine are very nice self-care products.
116
00:03:09,000 --> 00:03:10,000
Yeah.
117
00:03:10,000 --> 00:03:12,000
Mine are like random stuff.
118
00:03:12,000 --> 00:03:13,000
All over the board.
119
00:03:13,000 --> 00:03:16,000
There's some liquor bottles in one of mine.
120
00:03:16,000 --> 00:03:19,000
And, uh, and some makeup.
121
00:03:19,000 --> 00:03:20,000
Yeah.
122
00:03:20,000 --> 00:03:21,000
Yeah.
123
00:03:21,000 --> 00:03:22,000
It didn't stop.
124
00:03:22,000 --> 00:03:23,000
Oh no.
125
00:03:23,000 --> 00:03:24,000
Me?
126
00:03:24,000 --> 00:03:25,000
I'm the crinkly one today.
127
00:03:25,000 --> 00:03:26,000
It's me.
128
00:03:26,000 --> 00:03:28,000
It's going to go away as soon as I do this.
129
00:03:28,000 --> 00:03:29,000
Better, Jen?
130
00:03:29,000 --> 00:03:30,000
Is that better?
131
00:03:30,000 --> 00:03:31,000
Wait, now it did.
132
00:03:31,000 --> 00:03:32,000
She said before you did it,
133
00:03:32,000 --> 00:03:33,000
before you unplugged it.
134
00:03:33,000 --> 00:03:34,000
Is it better now?
135
00:03:34,000 --> 00:03:35,000
Hmm.
136
00:03:35,000 --> 00:03:36,000
You guys are,
137
00:03:36,000 --> 00:03:38,000
Jennifer, you are our sound engineer.
138
00:03:38,000 --> 00:03:40,000
Oh, I got to love it.
139
00:03:40,000 --> 00:03:41,000
Now it did.
140
00:03:41,000 --> 00:03:43,000
But it was before she unplugged it though.
141
00:03:43,000 --> 00:03:46,000
I don't know.
142
00:03:46,000 --> 00:03:47,000
Who knows?
143
00:03:47,000 --> 00:03:49,000
What are we now?
144
00:03:49,000 --> 00:03:50,000
You guys talk.
145
00:03:50,000 --> 00:03:52,000
I'll just try to copy with you.
146
00:03:52,000 --> 00:03:53,000
Okay.
147
00:03:53,000 --> 00:03:55,000
I wish you could put her microphone next.
148
00:03:55,000 --> 00:03:56,000
You need to lean into her microphone.
149
00:03:56,000 --> 00:03:57,000
Not really.
150
00:03:57,000 --> 00:03:58,000
Is it right?
151
00:03:58,000 --> 00:03:59,000
Logan.
152
00:03:59,000 --> 00:04:00,000
Oh, I'm crazy.
153
00:04:00,000 --> 00:04:01,000
It's not right.
154
00:04:01,000 --> 00:04:02,000
Oh.
155
00:04:02,000 --> 00:04:03,000
Well, we knew you weren't quite right,
156
00:04:03,000 --> 00:04:04,000
but that's why we love you.
157
00:04:04,000 --> 00:04:05,000
Is that better?
158
00:04:05,000 --> 00:04:06,000
These mics, they were great.
159
00:04:06,000 --> 00:04:07,000
Now they're just more complicated.
160
00:04:07,000 --> 00:04:08,000
I'm sorry.
161
00:04:08,000 --> 00:04:09,000
I'm sorry.
162
00:04:09,000 --> 00:04:10,000
I'm sorry.
163
00:04:10,000 --> 00:04:11,000
I'm sorry.
164
00:04:11,000 --> 00:04:13,000
They were great and now they're just more complicated.
165
00:04:13,000 --> 00:04:16,000
Well, so anyway, since I'm the only one who can talk,
166
00:04:16,000 --> 00:04:18,000
you guys just had to listen to me apparently.
167
00:04:18,000 --> 00:04:19,000
There we go.
168
00:04:19,000 --> 00:04:22,000
We put out the email yesterday that Black Cheer is available.
169
00:04:22,000 --> 00:04:24,000
People went nuts.
170
00:04:24,000 --> 00:04:28,000
And while a lot of people were questioning online and asking,
171
00:04:28,000 --> 00:04:29,000
Well, what does it say though?
172
00:04:29,000 --> 00:04:32,000
It was before, but I can still hear Britain, she said.
173
00:04:32,000 --> 00:04:33,000
Oh.
174
00:04:33,000 --> 00:04:34,000
Yeah.
175
00:04:34,000 --> 00:04:35,000
Yeah.
176
00:04:35,000 --> 00:04:36,000
Oh, probably.
177
00:04:36,000 --> 00:04:40,000
But what we decided is because we've been getting in so many people asking the
178
00:04:40,000 --> 00:04:45,000
difference between Michigan cherry and black cherry that we would test it live and then
179
00:04:45,000 --> 00:04:48,000
kind of go over some of the differences with you guys.
180
00:04:48,000 --> 00:04:53,000
And I'm going to see, oh, my mic isn't moving at all.
181
00:04:53,000 --> 00:04:55,000
It is because it's moving over there on my phone.
182
00:04:55,000 --> 00:04:56,000
Yours is moving.
183
00:04:56,000 --> 00:04:57,000
Mine isn't moving at all.
184
00:04:57,000 --> 00:05:02,000
I'm going to not talk and then you see.
185
00:05:02,000 --> 00:05:03,000
So, oh.
186
00:05:03,000 --> 00:05:04,000
Yep.
187
00:05:04,000 --> 00:05:05,000
Yours is working.
188
00:05:05,000 --> 00:05:06,000
On yours.
189
00:05:06,000 --> 00:05:07,000
Okay.
190
00:05:07,000 --> 00:05:08,000
Now try it.
191
00:05:08,000 --> 00:05:11,000
I have no idea.
192
00:05:11,000 --> 00:05:16,000
So obviously they had to be different enough or we wouldn't have done a new brand.
193
00:05:16,000 --> 00:05:18,000
It's a lot to do a new flavor.
194
00:05:18,000 --> 00:05:19,000
Yes.
195
00:05:19,000 --> 00:05:23,000
You know, when Michigan cherry is our top seller, but I'm going to say banana and nut bread
196
00:05:23,000 --> 00:05:24,000
has to be close.
197
00:05:24,000 --> 00:05:28,000
That's got to be number two at this point because we're selling so much of that coffee.
198
00:05:28,000 --> 00:05:30,000
So much banana and nut bread.
199
00:05:30,000 --> 00:05:31,000
Yes.
200
00:05:31,000 --> 00:05:32,000
And it is fabulous.
201
00:05:32,000 --> 00:05:33,000
Yes, it is so good.
202
00:05:33,000 --> 00:05:38,000
So it is very different taste profile.
203
00:05:38,000 --> 00:05:44,000
I describe it as like the Michigan cherry is more and not in a bad way, but more like
204
00:05:44,000 --> 00:05:49,000
an artificial, like a maraschino cherry, more of a candy kind of cherry flavor.
205
00:05:49,000 --> 00:05:50,000
That's a good way to say it.
206
00:05:50,000 --> 00:05:51,000
A black cherry.
207
00:05:51,000 --> 00:05:52,000
Is what?
208
00:05:52,000 --> 00:05:53,000
Tell me how you say it.
209
00:05:53,000 --> 00:05:56,000
Right off a tree.
210
00:05:56,000 --> 00:05:57,000
Okay.
211
00:05:57,000 --> 00:05:58,000
It's a very tree.
212
00:05:58,000 --> 00:06:02,000
Before this, she's been telling everybody it's straight off the vine and we had to let
213
00:06:02,000 --> 00:06:03,000
her know.
214
00:06:03,000 --> 00:06:04,000
I was like, grapes.
215
00:06:04,000 --> 00:06:05,000
I was thinking it was like grapes.
216
00:06:05,000 --> 00:06:07,000
But cherries don't grow off vines.
217
00:06:07,000 --> 00:06:08,000
Wine is off the vine.
218
00:06:08,000 --> 00:06:12,000
Even coffee cherries are off the, you know, tree, right?
219
00:06:12,000 --> 00:06:13,000
It is.
220
00:06:13,000 --> 00:06:14,000
Or bushes.
221
00:06:14,000 --> 00:06:15,000
There's some there.
222
00:06:15,000 --> 00:06:16,000
They're called a coffee tree.
223
00:06:16,000 --> 00:06:19,000
I know, but there's some people call them bushes because they're not very tall.
224
00:06:19,000 --> 00:06:20,000
They're not very tall.
225
00:06:20,000 --> 00:06:21,000
You're right.
226
00:06:21,000 --> 00:06:22,000
So there is the big...
227
00:06:22,000 --> 00:06:23,000
Good morning, Charles.
228
00:06:23,000 --> 00:06:24,000
But, um...
229
00:06:24,000 --> 00:06:27,000
So not off the vine, off the stem.
230
00:06:27,000 --> 00:06:28,000
So it is more like that.
231
00:06:28,000 --> 00:06:29,000
Like that.
232
00:06:29,000 --> 00:06:30,000
My mom loves black cherries.
233
00:06:30,000 --> 00:06:33,000
She just could sit there and eat ice for $100.
234
00:06:33,000 --> 00:06:34,000
I could too.
235
00:06:34,000 --> 00:06:36,000
And it is more that ripe flavor.
236
00:06:36,000 --> 00:06:37,000
Yes.
237
00:06:37,000 --> 00:06:39,000
Like that ripe fruit flavor.
238
00:06:39,000 --> 00:06:43,400
Michigan's known for our cherry festivals and having those good black cherries that
239
00:06:43,400 --> 00:06:45,000
you can eat at Traverse City.
240
00:06:45,000 --> 00:06:46,000
Yeah.
241
00:06:46,000 --> 00:06:48,000
So, um, definitely a really yummy cherry.
242
00:06:48,000 --> 00:06:50,000
I feel like they are distinctive.
243
00:06:50,000 --> 00:06:53,000
Now, will you like them both?
244
00:06:53,000 --> 00:06:55,000
I would say yes.
245
00:06:55,000 --> 00:06:59,000
I, um, prefer black cherry.
246
00:06:59,000 --> 00:07:02,000
I think that we all prefer black cherry.
247
00:07:02,000 --> 00:07:06,000
But you can't argue with Michigan cherry because it is our number one selling coffee.
248
00:07:06,000 --> 00:07:09,000
And I think that it is so flavorful.
249
00:07:09,000 --> 00:07:12,000
That people enjoy that flavorful.
250
00:07:12,000 --> 00:07:17,000
Well, when we got the black cherry, um, just banana bread now.
251
00:07:17,000 --> 00:07:18,000
You're right, Jennifer.
252
00:07:18,000 --> 00:07:19,000
Only save banana bread.
253
00:07:19,000 --> 00:07:20,000
That's very important.
254
00:07:20,000 --> 00:07:21,000
That's very important.
255
00:07:21,000 --> 00:07:23,000
We're all going to get banned.
256
00:07:23,000 --> 00:07:24,000
Yeah.
257
00:07:24,000 --> 00:07:25,000
Don't say anything.
258
00:07:25,000 --> 00:07:27,000
And is this banana bread?
259
00:07:27,000 --> 00:07:32,000
Yeah, I think we might call it the other one, but, but for Facebook reasons, we're not going
260
00:07:32,000 --> 00:07:35,000
to, you know, we're not going to bother them at all.
261
00:07:35,000 --> 00:07:37,000
Jennifer to get banned.
262
00:07:37,000 --> 00:07:43,000
When we first started sampling, um, we were actually kind of messing with a new company
263
00:07:43,000 --> 00:07:46,000
and they sent us a cherry and we're like, oh, let's just try it for fun.
264
00:07:46,000 --> 00:07:47,000
We're not going to mess with our cherry.
265
00:07:47,000 --> 00:07:49,000
We don't, you know, our cherry is our best seller.
266
00:07:49,000 --> 00:07:51,000
We don't want to bring in a new cherry.
267
00:07:51,000 --> 00:07:55,000
But when we tried it, we said, wow, that's way different.
268
00:07:55,000 --> 00:07:59,000
And that's kind of the nice thing too about trying the subscription coffees is that we
269
00:07:59,000 --> 00:08:05,000
try things that are similar in flavor, maybe, um, but has to be enough of a difference for
270
00:08:05,000 --> 00:08:07,000
us to, you know, make a new coffee.
271
00:08:07,000 --> 00:08:08,000
Yeah, absolutely.
272
00:08:08,000 --> 00:08:11,000
And that's what black cherry really, gosh, we really like this.
273
00:08:11,000 --> 00:08:13,000
And then we send it to some people.
274
00:08:13,000 --> 00:08:14,000
Yes.
275
00:08:14,000 --> 00:08:18,000
Last, uh, last summer, I think Jennifer, I think you tried it last summer.
276
00:08:18,000 --> 00:08:21,000
And, um, and they really enjoyed it as well.
277
00:08:21,000 --> 00:08:26,000
I don't think it's going to take anything away from it.
278
00:08:26,000 --> 00:08:29,000
I think it's a slightly different profile and it's nice to switch it up.
279
00:08:29,000 --> 00:08:36,000
I know I've got at home, I've got butter, rum cake, creme brulee and blueberry cobbler.
280
00:08:36,000 --> 00:08:37,000
Oh, yes.
281
00:08:37,000 --> 00:08:41,000
Which between well and that creme brulee that you added that, what was it?
282
00:08:41,000 --> 00:08:42,000
Brown butter toffee.
283
00:08:42,000 --> 00:08:44,000
Brown toffee syrup.
284
00:08:44,000 --> 00:08:46,000
Yeah, that sounds so good.
285
00:08:46,000 --> 00:08:48,000
And then cabinet brown butter.
286
00:08:48,000 --> 00:08:49,000
Yeah.
287
00:08:49,000 --> 00:08:52,000
And then Kevin added it to my butter rum.
288
00:08:52,000 --> 00:08:53,000
It was really good.
289
00:08:53,000 --> 00:08:54,000
I love butter rum.
290
00:08:54,000 --> 00:08:55,000
It's so good.
291
00:08:55,000 --> 00:08:56,000
My coffee church.
292
00:08:56,000 --> 00:08:59,000
Oh, Britton says she's not coming back.
293
00:08:59,000 --> 00:09:01,000
It's just us now.
294
00:09:01,000 --> 00:09:04,000
Britton, you're not coming back.
295
00:09:04,000 --> 00:09:06,000
I think it's her phone ringing too.
296
00:09:06,000 --> 00:09:10,000
Oh, so anyways, we're going to try the black cherry versus the Michigan cherry today.
297
00:09:10,000 --> 00:09:11,000
Okay.
298
00:09:11,000 --> 00:09:15,000
Because again, we've had, as soon as we launched it, everyone was just messaging us on Facebook.
299
00:09:15,000 --> 00:09:16,000
What's the difference is?
300
00:09:16,000 --> 00:09:17,000
Maybe we did.
301
00:09:17,000 --> 00:09:20,000
We did forever ago, try them side by side.
302
00:09:20,000 --> 00:09:21,000
Yeah.
303
00:09:21,000 --> 00:09:22,000
Okay.
304
00:09:22,000 --> 00:09:23,000
So you know, Michigan cherry first.
305
00:09:23,000 --> 00:09:25,000
The definitely the smell you get that aroma.
306
00:09:25,000 --> 00:09:29,000
It's got that really just sweet.
307
00:09:29,000 --> 00:09:34,000
I agree with what you say about it being like a maraschino cherry, just a very like, it's
308
00:09:34,000 --> 00:09:35,000
more like candy.
309
00:09:35,000 --> 00:09:37,000
It's the top of the Sunday, right?
310
00:09:37,000 --> 00:09:39,000
Like that cherry that just finishes it off on top.
311
00:09:39,000 --> 00:09:44,000
If you're drinking a whole cup of that, you have almost like, I mean, when, if you drink
312
00:09:44,000 --> 00:09:51,000
our Amaretto, it almost has the alcohol taste, but that tastes to it, that really sweet liqueur.
313
00:09:51,000 --> 00:09:52,000
Yeah.
314
00:09:52,000 --> 00:09:53,000
I guess it'd be a liqueur taste.
315
00:09:53,000 --> 00:09:54,000
Yeah.
316
00:09:54,000 --> 00:09:58,000
The Amaretto takes on the core for sure, which is interesting because Amaretto is almond,
317
00:09:58,000 --> 00:09:59,000
right?
318
00:09:59,000 --> 00:10:01,000
Cause I feel like that's a similar taste profile.
319
00:10:01,000 --> 00:10:02,000
Yeah.
320
00:10:02,000 --> 00:10:03,000
That's so good.
321
00:10:03,000 --> 00:10:05,000
Is that Michigan cherry is excellent.
322
00:10:05,000 --> 00:10:07,000
I'm going to keep drinking this.
323
00:10:07,000 --> 00:10:08,000
It is really good.
324
00:10:08,000 --> 00:10:12,000
Every time I have, I'm like, Oh, I do really like, but it's super flavorful.
325
00:10:12,000 --> 00:10:19,000
It is, um, that flavoring is just made a little bit different than all of our other flavors.
326
00:10:19,000 --> 00:10:22,000
It's to make, to give it that really cool flavor.
327
00:10:22,000 --> 00:10:23,000
It's just strong.
328
00:10:23,000 --> 00:10:27,000
So like if you like a subtle flavor, Michigan cherry and black cherry, aren't your flavors?
329
00:10:27,000 --> 00:10:32,000
If you like just like, like beans that are just kissed by flavor, French vanilla, creme
330
00:10:32,000 --> 00:10:34,000
brulee, that's more, more of your alley.
331
00:10:34,000 --> 00:10:39,000
Even the Kermaklokong pie, sea salt caramel are going to be more of those flavor profiles.
332
00:10:39,000 --> 00:10:40,000
Yeah.
333
00:10:40,000 --> 00:10:46,000
And blueberry cobbler to me is a step down in flavor as far as the in your face flavor.
334
00:10:46,000 --> 00:10:47,000
Yeah.
335
00:10:47,000 --> 00:10:48,000
I love it.
336
00:10:48,000 --> 00:10:49,000
It's so good.
337
00:10:49,000 --> 00:10:51,000
Very cobbler is one of my favorites.
338
00:10:51,000 --> 00:10:52,000
Okay.
339
00:10:52,000 --> 00:10:57,000
And then black cherry, when you smell it, you definitely taste the difference.
340
00:10:57,000 --> 00:11:04,000
I feel like it's more, there's still that, the sugar that.
341
00:11:04,000 --> 00:11:06,000
I just like watching you describe this.
342
00:11:06,000 --> 00:11:07,000
I know.
343
00:11:07,000 --> 00:11:08,000
Not good at it at all.
344
00:11:08,000 --> 00:11:09,000
You are good at it.
345
00:11:09,000 --> 00:11:14,000
I mean, it's almost like not, I'm not going to say brown sugar, but almost like more
346
00:11:14,000 --> 00:11:17,000
that note than the bright.
347
00:11:17,000 --> 00:11:19,000
Well, yeah, you're getting that flavor.
348
00:11:19,000 --> 00:11:24,000
You're getting that just like juicy cherry, like just yummy, juicy cherry.
349
00:11:24,000 --> 00:11:25,000
Yeah.
350
00:11:25,000 --> 00:11:27,000
It's really like just off the not vine.
351
00:11:27,000 --> 00:11:28,000
Yeah.
352
00:11:28,000 --> 00:11:29,000
The stem.
353
00:11:29,000 --> 00:11:32,000
I don't know if I can go on stems.
354
00:11:32,000 --> 00:11:33,000
They do.
355
00:11:33,000 --> 00:11:34,000
Too small to grow.
356
00:11:34,000 --> 00:11:36,000
They do grow on stems.
357
00:11:36,000 --> 00:11:40,000
It feels like I'd be like, Oh, the cherry so heavy.
358
00:11:40,000 --> 00:11:45,000
Do you remember when she bought the pitless cherries and then also bought a pit, how long
359
00:11:45,000 --> 00:11:46,000
did you spend?
360
00:11:46,000 --> 00:11:48,000
It does smell like that cherry pie I made.
361
00:11:48,000 --> 00:11:49,000
Oh, where's the trophy?
362
00:11:49,000 --> 00:11:53,000
How long though, did you spend pitying those cherries before you realized there was no
363
00:11:53,000 --> 00:11:54,000
pit in them?
364
00:11:54,000 --> 00:11:58,000
It took me a long time just to figure out how to use the pitter, which I'm like, why doesn't
365
00:11:58,000 --> 00:12:00,000
this thing come with instructions?
366
00:12:00,000 --> 00:12:01,000
Why doesn't this work?
367
00:12:01,000 --> 00:12:04,000
That's so cute.
368
00:12:04,000 --> 00:12:07,000
First as she did have it and she loved the black cherry.
369
00:12:07,000 --> 00:12:09,000
We've got more down here too.
370
00:12:09,000 --> 00:12:10,000
Let's get rid of this.
371
00:12:10,000 --> 00:12:14,000
I thought that black cherry was something with amaretto when I sampled it.
372
00:12:14,000 --> 00:12:16,000
It's so different than Michigan cherry.
373
00:12:16,000 --> 00:12:21,000
I think it's so different.
374
00:12:21,000 --> 00:12:23,000
It's just a different flavor profile.
375
00:12:23,000 --> 00:12:25,000
And I wish I were better at describing it.
376
00:12:25,000 --> 00:12:27,000
It tastes more fresh to me.
377
00:12:27,000 --> 00:12:29,000
I'm going to go with what you said originally.
378
00:12:29,000 --> 00:12:34,000
The Michigan cherry is maraschino cherry top of the Sunday.
379
00:12:34,000 --> 00:12:35,000
Delicious.
380
00:12:35,000 --> 00:12:37,000
This is more I'm eating a bowl of black cherries.
381
00:12:37,000 --> 00:12:41,000
Really to me, this is so much more similar to amaretto and this one's so much similar
382
00:12:41,000 --> 00:12:42,000
to blueberry cobbler.
383
00:12:42,000 --> 00:12:43,000
Yes.
384
00:12:43,000 --> 00:12:47,000
If I had to like group them in runway fashion groups.
385
00:12:47,000 --> 00:12:48,000
Yes.
386
00:12:48,000 --> 00:12:49,000
Runway fashion.
387
00:12:49,000 --> 00:12:52,000
They were going to come on the runway together.
388
00:12:52,000 --> 00:12:54,000
That's how I would put them.
389
00:12:54,000 --> 00:12:58,000
Now I'm just picturing them coming out, walking down the runway.
390
00:12:58,000 --> 00:13:01,000
And then I'm going to go with blueberry cobbler with black cherry.
391
00:13:01,000 --> 00:13:02,000
Nice.
392
00:13:02,000 --> 00:13:03,000
I like how you write this.
393
00:13:03,000 --> 00:13:05,000
Can you imagine the little coffee bags?
394
00:13:05,000 --> 00:13:08,000
I'm imagining the little coffee bags strut down in the fashion aisle.
395
00:13:08,000 --> 00:13:11,000
So I think this is Britain who said cherries grow on trees.
396
00:13:11,000 --> 00:13:14,000
They look super similar to coffee cherry trees.
397
00:13:14,000 --> 00:13:16,000
There is some debate.
398
00:13:16,000 --> 00:13:19,000
No, there is no debate.
399
00:13:19,000 --> 00:13:20,000
I know I read it.
400
00:13:20,000 --> 00:13:21,000
It wasn't me.
401
00:13:21,000 --> 00:13:22,000
Where did you read this?
402
00:13:22,000 --> 00:13:24,000
Because they're so short.
403
00:13:24,000 --> 00:13:31,000
And there were official names of them that there was debate on whether to classify for
404
00:13:31,000 --> 00:13:34,000
classification purposes, scientific classification purposes.
405
00:13:34,000 --> 00:13:35,000
There was some.
406
00:13:35,000 --> 00:13:38,000
Tell me about your science degree.
407
00:13:38,000 --> 00:13:41,000
I have a degree in education.
408
00:13:41,000 --> 00:13:42,000
History.
409
00:13:42,000 --> 00:13:45,000
No, you don't really get a degree in education.
410
00:13:45,000 --> 00:13:49,000
My major is in history.
411
00:13:49,000 --> 00:13:52,000
And my minor is in language arts.
412
00:13:52,000 --> 00:13:58,000
So when you tell the story of how coffee was discovered, and it's a history story.
413
00:13:58,000 --> 00:14:02,000
It's really because I went to a Christian college and all of my Christian courses went into history.
414
00:14:02,000 --> 00:14:03,000
That makes sense.
415
00:14:03,000 --> 00:14:07,000
So when you go to be a teacher, it's like, what do you have the most science, math?
416
00:14:07,000 --> 00:14:09,000
What are you going to get your minor in?
417
00:14:09,000 --> 00:14:11,000
And since that my history.
418
00:14:11,000 --> 00:14:12,000
That makes sense.
419
00:14:12,000 --> 00:14:15,000
You know, foods of the New Testament transferred to history.
420
00:14:15,000 --> 00:14:18,000
Oh, Charles, you definitely have to order some black cherry cookups.
421
00:14:18,000 --> 00:14:21,000
Yeah, black cherry is, it is phenomenal.
422
00:14:21,000 --> 00:14:26,000
I mean, obviously we think it's worthy of its own even introduction.
423
00:14:26,000 --> 00:14:27,000
Yeah, absolutely.
424
00:14:27,000 --> 00:14:30,000
We don't add flavors very often at all.
425
00:14:30,000 --> 00:14:31,000
No.
426
00:14:31,000 --> 00:14:33,000
Well, we do our LTOs every month, right?
427
00:14:33,000 --> 00:14:34,000
We have our subscription.
428
00:14:34,000 --> 00:14:39,000
That's kind of our way to play with flavors and have something fun and exciting going on.
429
00:14:39,000 --> 00:14:46,000
Well, the fun thing about the subscription box is every now and then there's something that you guys are just crazy about, like the white chocolate strawberry.
430
00:14:46,000 --> 00:14:47,000
That is so good.
431
00:14:47,000 --> 00:14:49,000
Yeah, that we ended up bringing in full time.
432
00:14:49,000 --> 00:14:51,000
I don't know that we've done.
433
00:14:51,000 --> 00:14:56,000
Oh, and I also the butter bacon was the first one because that was in our very first subscription box.
434
00:14:56,000 --> 00:14:57,000
Strawberry.
435
00:14:57,000 --> 00:14:58,000
Yeah.
436
00:14:58,000 --> 00:15:00,000
We brought in because it was so popular.
437
00:15:00,000 --> 00:15:01,000
Yeah.
438
00:15:01,000 --> 00:15:02,000
People begged for the white chocolate strawberry.
439
00:15:02,000 --> 00:15:03,000
Yes.
440
00:15:03,000 --> 00:15:10,000
You know what's interesting to me, because we used to, because we didn't have subscription, we had to do some LTO kind of theme things.
441
00:15:10,000 --> 00:15:12,000
So remember we did the 50s vintage.
442
00:15:12,000 --> 00:15:15,000
Yeah, we did, we did soda shop.
443
00:15:15,000 --> 00:15:17,000
Yeah, orange dreamcicle.
444
00:15:17,000 --> 00:15:19,000
And strawberry milkshake maybe.
445
00:15:19,000 --> 00:15:20,000
Yeah.
446
00:15:20,000 --> 00:15:24,000
And that's when we started people are like, please bring back the flavor.
447
00:15:24,000 --> 00:15:26,000
Yes, they went nuts for that flavor.
448
00:15:26,000 --> 00:15:27,000
That was so good.
449
00:15:27,000 --> 00:15:29,000
I'm just going to keep drinking this black cherry.
450
00:15:29,000 --> 00:15:30,000
It is really good.
451
00:15:30,000 --> 00:15:31,000
I love it.
452
00:15:31,000 --> 00:15:36,000
Yeah, I mean, I personally like it more than the cherry.
453
00:15:36,000 --> 00:15:42,000
I just like that really not tart, but sweet off the vine.
454
00:15:42,000 --> 00:15:43,000
Vine?
455
00:15:43,000 --> 00:15:47,000
Can you get a wine?
456
00:15:47,000 --> 00:15:48,000
That's why I do it.
457
00:15:48,000 --> 00:15:49,000
Sweet off the stem.
458
00:15:49,000 --> 00:15:53,000
So for me, picking coffee cherries is like picking blueberries.
459
00:15:53,000 --> 00:15:58,000
If you've ever picked blueberries, the tree is, or the, but it's kind of like a blueberry bush.
460
00:15:58,000 --> 00:15:59,000
So when you pick coffee.
461
00:15:59,000 --> 00:16:01,000
How's blueberry on a bush?
462
00:16:01,000 --> 00:16:03,000
Well, blueberries, a blueberry bush.
463
00:16:03,000 --> 00:16:07,000
But when you pick coffee cherries, like when we went to Costa Rica and we picked coffee.
464
00:16:07,000 --> 00:16:09,000
I picked blueberries when I was a kid.
465
00:16:09,000 --> 00:16:10,000
And those are off a bush.
466
00:16:10,000 --> 00:16:11,000
Right.
467
00:16:11,000 --> 00:16:12,000
And so we're blueberries.
468
00:16:12,000 --> 00:16:13,000
Okay.
469
00:16:13,000 --> 00:16:18,000
And so then when we picked coffee cherries, it was off of a coffee tree, but they were,
470
00:16:18,000 --> 00:16:20,000
they're three to five feet tall.
471
00:16:20,000 --> 00:16:22,000
So they're like our coffee bush.
472
00:16:22,000 --> 00:16:23,000
Mini landscaping.
473
00:16:23,000 --> 00:16:28,000
And when you, when you, because we have baskets tighter around our stomachs, right?
474
00:16:28,000 --> 00:16:33,000
And then you grab the branch gently, not as rough as I did because I broke one.
475
00:16:33,000 --> 00:16:36,000
You have to pick them and put them in your basket.
476
00:16:36,000 --> 00:16:37,000
Like a bush.
477
00:16:37,000 --> 00:16:39,000
And you can only pick the ripe red cherries.
478
00:16:39,000 --> 00:16:41,000
But if they're too dark, they'll be fermented tasty.
479
00:16:41,000 --> 00:16:48,000
And if they're too orange or yellow or green, green, they're not done enough.
480
00:16:48,000 --> 00:16:50,000
And they won't ripen all at the same time.
481
00:16:50,000 --> 00:16:56,000
So literally the coffees that we have, people have to continually go back there and, and
482
00:16:56,000 --> 00:17:00,000
pick as it ripens over the two or three weeks.
483
00:17:00,000 --> 00:17:01,000
Yeah.
484
00:17:01,000 --> 00:17:02,000
The picking season.
485
00:17:02,000 --> 00:17:04,000
You want to go to Costa Rica next year?
486
00:17:04,000 --> 00:17:05,000
I think we should.
487
00:17:05,000 --> 00:17:06,000
Yeah.
488
00:17:06,000 --> 00:17:09,000
I in Costa Rica stayed in a tree house.
489
00:17:09,000 --> 00:17:13,000
Yes. After we all flew home, you and Kevin had a little mini vacation.
490
00:17:13,000 --> 00:17:16,000
The 10 coolest places to stay in Costa Rica.
491
00:17:16,000 --> 00:17:20,000
My friend stayed at a beautiful resort there, but we stayed at a very rustic tree house.
492
00:17:20,000 --> 00:17:21,000
Yeah.
493
00:17:21,000 --> 00:17:23,000
Were you like walking about mountain to like stay there?
494
00:17:23,000 --> 00:17:25,000
It was a switchback mountain.
495
00:17:25,000 --> 00:17:26,000
So you had to like do this thing.
496
00:17:26,000 --> 00:17:30,000
Like I took everything down in the morning and said, let's just put everything down here
497
00:17:30,000 --> 00:17:34,000
because I don't want to go back up there because it was forever.
498
00:17:34,000 --> 00:17:38,000
One night I was going up there and like, even like if a jag wire was chasing me, I would
499
00:17:38,000 --> 00:17:41,000
just be like, I'm done.
500
00:17:41,000 --> 00:17:43,000
So they called.
501
00:17:43,000 --> 00:17:45,000
I'm done with life.
502
00:17:45,000 --> 00:17:49,000
So that they were hoping in shape people would stay there.
503
00:17:49,000 --> 00:17:52,000
So they marketed it as that.
504
00:17:52,000 --> 00:17:57,000
So that older people would because I was well, it would be really hard if you had limited
505
00:17:57,000 --> 00:17:58,000
mobility, right?
506
00:17:58,000 --> 00:18:02,000
And I wouldn't consider you one with limited mobility, but walking off those switchbacks,
507
00:18:02,000 --> 00:18:04,000
everybody is at that point.
508
00:18:04,000 --> 00:18:09,000
But didn't monkeys come in your room and stuff?
509
00:18:09,000 --> 00:18:10,000
Up on the deck.
510
00:18:10,000 --> 00:18:11,000
Okay.
511
00:18:11,000 --> 00:18:13,000
It was like an adobe.
512
00:18:13,000 --> 00:18:15,000
Like a mud.
513
00:18:15,000 --> 00:18:17,000
Like a mud hut and a tree.
514
00:18:17,000 --> 00:18:18,000
Huh.
515
00:18:18,000 --> 00:18:20,000
Built on a platform in the mountains.
516
00:18:20,000 --> 00:18:21,000
Was it climate control?
517
00:18:21,000 --> 00:18:22,000
Did they have air conditioning?
518
00:18:22,000 --> 00:18:24,000
The way that they built it with that mud.
519
00:18:24,000 --> 00:18:25,000
It's really.
520
00:18:25,000 --> 00:18:27,000
Oh, but they're fans or anything to keep it cool.
521
00:18:27,000 --> 00:18:30,000
I think there's probably air conditioner or something there.
522
00:18:30,000 --> 00:18:35,000
Just like a bedroom and then on the backside, there's a wall with a little kitchen and a
523
00:18:35,000 --> 00:18:36,000
bathroom.
524
00:18:36,000 --> 00:18:40,000
Were you afraid like people from Minnesota, which I love, he met a Costa Rican woman and
525
00:18:40,000 --> 00:18:44,000
came and they designed like 10 different houses, different ways.
526
00:18:44,000 --> 00:18:47,000
So I'd want to go see them all.
527
00:18:47,000 --> 00:18:48,000
They were all different.
528
00:18:48,000 --> 00:18:49,000
That's super fun.
529
00:18:49,000 --> 00:18:52,000
Were you at all afraid of like wildlife coming in like giant spiders?
530
00:18:52,000 --> 00:18:54,000
Cause you're in the middle of like the jungle.
531
00:18:54,000 --> 00:18:57,000
Oh, bugs will find a way.
532
00:18:57,000 --> 00:19:01,000
I felt better about that, but I did bring because I've been to Costa Rica before I've
533
00:19:01,000 --> 00:19:04,000
got a mosquito net bed cover just in case.
534
00:19:04,000 --> 00:19:05,000
Did you put it out?
535
00:19:05,000 --> 00:19:06,000
No, we didn't need to.
536
00:19:06,000 --> 00:19:07,000
There was nothing up there.
537
00:19:07,000 --> 00:19:08,000
That's brave.
538
00:19:08,000 --> 00:19:09,000
That's brave.
539
00:19:09,000 --> 00:19:11,000
But the monkeys on the porch.
540
00:19:11,000 --> 00:19:15,000
So they tell me, Oh, if a monkey bites you, first of all, monkey will steal everything
541
00:19:15,000 --> 00:19:17,000
that can from you.
542
00:19:17,000 --> 00:19:20,000
And if a monkey bites you, you need 20 shots in your belly button.
543
00:19:20,000 --> 00:19:21,000
Whoa.
544
00:19:21,000 --> 00:19:25,000
And I'm like, Oh, because they're, um, I'm a gosh.
545
00:19:25,000 --> 00:19:26,000
Because they're wild.
546
00:19:26,000 --> 00:19:31,000
Well, but they're like the start of like every like apocalyptic, you know, like, what was
547
00:19:31,000 --> 00:19:32,000
that outbreak?
548
00:19:32,000 --> 00:19:33,000
Yeah.
549
00:19:33,000 --> 00:19:36,000
Of course was out on the deck playing with the monkeys and I was like in the window.
550
00:19:36,000 --> 00:19:39,000
I'm not getting 20 shots in my stomach.
551
00:19:39,000 --> 00:19:40,000
Kevin.
552
00:19:40,000 --> 00:19:42,000
I'm not doing that.
553
00:19:42,000 --> 00:19:44,000
No, that's horrifying.
554
00:19:44,000 --> 00:19:47,000
It was really cool to watch them.
555
00:19:47,000 --> 00:19:50,000
Uh, harvest the coffee.
556
00:19:50,000 --> 00:19:51,000
Yeah.
557
00:19:51,000 --> 00:19:52,000
And sort the coffee.
558
00:19:52,000 --> 00:19:54,000
They were so quick at it because they.
559
00:19:54,000 --> 00:20:00,000
Yeah, I should post that video later of the ladies sorting the beans because they do it
560
00:20:00,000 --> 00:20:01,000
by hand.
561
00:20:01,000 --> 00:20:02,000
It's not.
562
00:20:02,000 --> 00:20:05,000
So they, because there's different grades of coffee.
563
00:20:05,000 --> 00:20:09,000
So they've got, and then they take out the defects and then, but then there's still different
564
00:20:09,000 --> 00:20:10,000
grades of coffee.
565
00:20:10,000 --> 00:20:14,000
Well, and just so you know, if there's a defect in your coffee, so like if the coffee isn't
566
00:20:14,000 --> 00:20:18,000
formed all the way, the coffee, cherry, the coffee seed, coffee bean, if it's not formed
567
00:20:18,000 --> 00:20:19,000
all the way, it.
568
00:20:19,000 --> 00:20:22,000
Like creates negative notes in your cup.
569
00:20:22,000 --> 00:20:23,000
So that's why we own them.
570
00:20:23,000 --> 00:20:27,000
That's why we only source specialty grade one coffee.
571
00:20:27,000 --> 00:20:29,000
And if you ever look at the chart, we should bring the chart in sometime.
572
00:20:29,000 --> 00:20:34,000
You can kind of see like the top coffee and how it looks beautiful and even in uniform.
573
00:20:34,000 --> 00:20:42,000
And then you kind of get down to the others that are not good when you cup coffee or real
574
00:20:42,000 --> 00:20:46,000
taste five or seven cups because one can still have a defect.
575
00:20:46,000 --> 00:20:51,000
So you can write that coffee really low when actually just had one single bean.
576
00:20:51,000 --> 00:20:52,000
Yeah.
577
00:20:52,000 --> 00:20:54,000
And it will affect the whole cup.
578
00:20:54,000 --> 00:20:59,000
And that's sometimes you can get a cup of coffee that isn't up to par and it really can be
579
00:20:59,000 --> 00:21:00,000
just from one single being in there.
580
00:21:00,000 --> 00:21:05,000
You know what we should do for a live is do an actual cupping.
581
00:21:05,000 --> 00:21:14,000
Okay, so cupping is kind of gross because you have little ceramic cups with ground coffee
582
00:21:14,000 --> 00:21:15,000
in it.
583
00:21:15,000 --> 00:21:16,600
They pour hot water over it.
584
00:21:16,600 --> 00:21:18,400
They let it bloom for like four minutes.
585
00:21:18,400 --> 00:21:22,400
So in other words, like the coffee grounds are rising to the top of the cup and then
586
00:21:22,400 --> 00:21:23,400
you use spoons.
587
00:21:23,400 --> 00:21:24,400
And you have to break the crust.
588
00:21:24,400 --> 00:21:26,400
Yeah, to break the crust.
589
00:21:26,400 --> 00:21:27,400
And then you have to.
590
00:21:27,400 --> 00:21:29,400
So each per, we're sharing cups, right?
591
00:21:29,400 --> 00:21:32,400
So I mean, and I don't know that I've done a good tasting since COVID.
592
00:21:32,400 --> 00:21:33,400
So you're sharing spoons.
593
00:21:33,400 --> 00:21:34,400
Yeah.
594
00:21:34,400 --> 00:21:35,400
You don't, you don't share spoons.
595
00:21:35,400 --> 00:21:36,400
You get your own spoon.
596
00:21:36,400 --> 00:21:37,400
You rinse them.
597
00:21:37,400 --> 00:21:38,400
You keep your spoon.
598
00:21:38,400 --> 00:21:39,400
In the cup thing.
599
00:21:39,400 --> 00:21:42,400
But you come up to the cup and you slurp the coffee.
600
00:21:42,400 --> 00:21:46,400
Like you do it three times and you smell the back of your spoon.
601
00:21:46,400 --> 00:21:47,400
Yeah.
602
00:21:47,400 --> 00:21:48,400
And then you slurp it.
603
00:21:48,400 --> 00:21:51,400
So then you get like your whole tongue coated with the flavoring.
604
00:21:51,400 --> 00:21:53,400
So you get it to the back of your tongue too.
605
00:21:53,400 --> 00:21:54,400
Yes.
606
00:21:54,400 --> 00:21:56,400
And then you're supposed to spit it out when you're done.
607
00:21:56,400 --> 00:22:00,400
Cause if you just like drink it every time, you're going to be like me on my second cup
608
00:22:00,400 --> 00:22:01,400
of coffee.
609
00:22:01,400 --> 00:22:02,400
But it's like online.
610
00:22:02,400 --> 00:22:04,400
People really spit it out every time.
611
00:22:04,400 --> 00:22:05,400
You shouldn't.
612
00:22:05,400 --> 00:22:07,400
Why waste good alcohol?
613
00:22:07,400 --> 00:22:08,400
But yeah.
614
00:22:08,400 --> 00:22:13,400
So you do it in the whole slurpy thing and then you're supposed to spit and have a spit
615
00:22:13,400 --> 00:22:14,400
too.
616
00:22:14,400 --> 00:22:15,400
Yeah.
617
00:22:15,400 --> 00:22:16,400
Which is super gross, right?
618
00:22:16,400 --> 00:22:17,400
And then you're supposed to do it with strangers.
619
00:22:17,400 --> 00:22:21,400
So yeah, so we went to a coffee and it was.
620
00:22:21,400 --> 00:22:23,400
We did one in Costa Rica.
621
00:22:23,400 --> 00:22:26,400
We did one at the specially coffee show.
622
00:22:26,400 --> 00:22:27,400
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
623
00:22:27,400 --> 00:22:28,400
The one we were at.
624
00:22:28,400 --> 00:22:31,400
Coffee Fest in Atlanta a few years ago.
625
00:22:31,400 --> 00:22:32,400
We signed up to do one.
626
00:22:32,400 --> 00:22:34,400
And of course they made me go first.
627
00:22:34,400 --> 00:22:42,400
And when I went to slurp it, I accidentally like, I don't know if I went up my nose.
628
00:22:42,400 --> 00:22:43,400
I remember this.
629
00:22:43,400 --> 00:22:44,400
I slurped very aggressively.
630
00:22:44,400 --> 00:22:47,400
And then I started like coughing and joking.
631
00:22:47,400 --> 00:22:51,400
And then they were laughing and we were laughing.
632
00:22:51,400 --> 00:22:54,400
We were having a lot of fun in our coffee.
633
00:22:54,400 --> 00:22:58,400
Apparently it's a very serious thing, but we were on the floor laughing out a little
634
00:22:58,400 --> 00:22:59,400
bit.
635
00:22:59,400 --> 00:23:04,400
But he actually said we were the perfect examples because we are how we're supposed to have
636
00:23:04,400 --> 00:23:05,400
a coffee cup.
637
00:23:05,400 --> 00:23:07,400
It's supposed to be a fun experience.
638
00:23:07,400 --> 00:23:11,400
Like a wine tasting paired with food and laughter and everybody tastes things differently.
639
00:23:11,400 --> 00:23:13,400
So talking about it.
640
00:23:13,400 --> 00:23:17,400
What I liked about what he did was he went around and he said, what did you taste in
641
00:23:17,400 --> 00:23:18,400
that?
642
00:23:18,400 --> 00:23:19,400
What did you taste?
643
00:23:19,400 --> 00:23:20,400
And everybody had something different.
644
00:23:20,400 --> 00:23:24,400
And he said there's no wrong answers in that because you might pick out a cherry note in
645
00:23:24,400 --> 00:23:25,400
a coffee.
646
00:23:25,400 --> 00:23:26,400
I might pick out an earthy note.
647
00:23:26,400 --> 00:23:28,400
It might be brighter to you.
648
00:23:28,400 --> 00:23:29,400
So that was interesting.
649
00:23:29,400 --> 00:23:32,720
He's like, we say what flavor profile is in a cup of coffee.
650
00:23:32,720 --> 00:23:33,720
You might pick up something else.
651
00:23:33,720 --> 00:23:37,400
Well, it is interesting too because you started over.
652
00:23:37,400 --> 00:23:43,000
You can do like a smell like how does what does sour smell like?
653
00:23:43,000 --> 00:23:44,720
What do you do?
654
00:23:44,720 --> 00:23:50,280
Because you know it, but when you have a reference point to it, you're like, yes, that's what
655
00:23:50,280 --> 00:23:51,280
that is.
656
00:23:51,280 --> 00:23:52,280
Yes.
657
00:23:52,280 --> 00:23:55,360
You've got more nomenclature to describe coffee.
658
00:23:55,360 --> 00:24:00,200
So from a smell perspective and then from a taste perspective, but everybody has different
659
00:24:00,200 --> 00:24:02,000
amounts of taste buds.
660
00:24:02,000 --> 00:24:05,680
So some people have a super tongue, which is such a weird thing to say.
661
00:24:05,680 --> 00:24:13,400
Like really salty things really, you might have just more advanced tasting ability.
662
00:24:13,400 --> 00:24:18,480
Something I heard years ago is that people who like dark rose coffees are usually smokers
663
00:24:18,480 --> 00:24:22,520
or maybe on the heavier side because they don't have as many taste buds.
664
00:24:22,520 --> 00:24:24,560
So they eat more, right?
665
00:24:24,560 --> 00:24:25,960
Because they can't taste things.
666
00:24:25,960 --> 00:24:29,280
I don't know if that's still a true thing, but it was a thing I heard years ago.
667
00:24:29,280 --> 00:24:33,840
But I can see where you're looking because you need more flavor to get that, which, and
668
00:24:33,840 --> 00:24:38,040
maybe that's why Michigan cherry quite honestly isn't one of my favorites because I think
669
00:24:38,040 --> 00:24:39,400
I don't like really salty things.
670
00:24:39,400 --> 00:24:40,960
I don't spicy things.
671
00:24:40,960 --> 00:24:44,760
And I probably get more sensitive and can taste more nuances.
672
00:24:44,760 --> 00:24:46,720
My problem is that like all the food.
673
00:24:46,720 --> 00:24:49,960
Oh, give me some bacon wrap dates.
674
00:24:49,960 --> 00:24:52,840
I'm surprised you're not like, what's for lunch?
675
00:24:52,840 --> 00:24:57,320
Well, listen, I brought my lunch, but it doesn't bring me joy.
676
00:24:57,320 --> 00:24:59,120
But I tried to have a sale last night.
677
00:24:59,120 --> 00:25:00,120
It was not good.
678
00:25:00,120 --> 00:25:01,120
That's all I'm going to say.
679
00:25:01,120 --> 00:25:02,840
Listen, I made, I made some.
680
00:25:02,840 --> 00:25:03,840
Okay.
681
00:25:03,840 --> 00:25:07,240
Cause at baseball the other night, one of the grandmas made cookies and Alex came over
682
00:25:07,240 --> 00:25:08,240
my son.
683
00:25:08,240 --> 00:25:09,240
He was eating the cookies.
684
00:25:09,240 --> 00:25:10,240
I said, how do those rank up to moms?
685
00:25:10,240 --> 00:25:11,240
He's like, they're okay.
686
00:25:11,240 --> 00:25:15,080
And I said, I'm going to show Peyton's grandma who makes good cookies.
687
00:25:15,080 --> 00:25:19,640
So I have a bag full of cookies right now because I have to show nice Cheryl.
688
00:25:19,640 --> 00:25:20,640
He just makes.
689
00:25:20,640 --> 00:25:22,640
I do show you love.
690
00:25:22,640 --> 00:25:23,640
Honestly.
691
00:25:23,640 --> 00:25:26,000
It's like, I do.
692
00:25:26,000 --> 00:25:30,040
So I have cookies if you want some because you know, that brings me joy, but I have all
693
00:25:30,040 --> 00:25:32,000
the cookies with me today.
694
00:25:32,000 --> 00:25:35,360
Some with walnuts, some without cause I have to show Peyton's grandma who makes the good
695
00:25:35,360 --> 00:25:36,360
cookies.
696
00:25:36,360 --> 00:25:37,360
Oh yeah.
697
00:25:37,360 --> 00:25:40,280
You've got to bring the snack.
698
00:25:40,280 --> 00:25:41,280
I could just give you my cookies.
699
00:25:41,280 --> 00:25:44,280
I thought I'd get it like a sub or something.
700
00:25:44,280 --> 00:25:47,280
Yeah, that sounds good.
701
00:25:47,280 --> 00:25:48,280
Yeah.
702
00:25:48,280 --> 00:25:49,280
No.
703
00:25:49,280 --> 00:25:51,800
So hopefully you understand a little bit more out there.
704
00:25:51,800 --> 00:25:53,040
Both really wonderful.
705
00:25:53,040 --> 00:25:59,520
I, if you, I, I've got to believe if you like Michigan cherry, you'll like black cherry too.
706
00:25:59,520 --> 00:26:03,200
And then I think it's just like have a different one every day.
707
00:26:03,200 --> 00:26:04,200
Yeah.
708
00:26:04,200 --> 00:26:09,600
And if you're not a huge fan of Michigan cherry, I think you might like black cherry.
709
00:26:09,600 --> 00:26:11,280
I would give it a shot and just see.
710
00:26:11,280 --> 00:26:16,920
I don't, are we going to have that in any of our like multi-pack ones that we're working
711
00:26:16,920 --> 00:26:17,920
on?
712
00:26:17,920 --> 00:26:18,920
Oh yeah.
713
00:26:18,920 --> 00:26:19,920
We're picking up with our new variety pack.
714
00:26:19,920 --> 00:26:20,920
Yeah, we are.
715
00:26:20,920 --> 00:26:24,600
We're going to have a new variety pack and that will have the black cherry in it.
716
00:26:24,600 --> 00:26:31,680
And then in a couple months, it will have all the other cake cups in it too that we're
717
00:26:31,680 --> 00:26:36,920
English toffee, the, um, cocoa mocha nut, German chocolate, or was German chocolate we were
718
00:26:36,920 --> 00:26:39,280
doing instead of cocoa mocha and butter room.
719
00:26:39,280 --> 00:26:40,880
No, butter room we already have.
720
00:26:40,880 --> 00:26:42,880
Did you say you said English toffee?
721
00:26:42,880 --> 00:26:48,920
Uh, there, gosh, why is it not coming to me?
722
00:26:48,920 --> 00:26:50,000
That's that one's already in.
723
00:26:50,000 --> 00:26:54,440
We are coming up with caramel apple and Mary Mocha meant she died.
724
00:26:54,440 --> 00:26:58,360
Oh, Vermont maple or not Vermont maple maple syrup maple syrup.
725
00:26:58,360 --> 00:27:02,320
So those will be when we get the new cake up lids in, they'll be in the new box.
726
00:27:02,320 --> 00:27:04,880
Yeah, but we are doing a 48 count box.
727
00:27:04,880 --> 00:27:08,480
So you will get, uh, two of every flavor.
728
00:27:08,480 --> 00:27:13,720
So a 48 count mystery box or not mystery box variety box variety box so that you can
729
00:27:13,720 --> 00:27:16,560
really, and that's what honestly my friends requested.
730
00:27:16,560 --> 00:27:18,240
Like, Lori, just put a box of that.
731
00:27:18,240 --> 00:27:20,800
Yeah, because we have a 12 count variety box.
732
00:27:20,800 --> 00:27:21,920
We have a 20 count.
733
00:27:21,920 --> 00:27:23,240
I want them all.
734
00:27:23,240 --> 00:27:26,680
So this would be like the next stop, like, especially if you get tried something and
735
00:27:26,680 --> 00:27:30,880
you really like, I want a second cup of that, then you'll have a second cup of that, which
736
00:27:30,880 --> 00:27:31,880
is really good.
737
00:27:31,880 --> 00:27:36,680
And the 48 counts come with free shipping.
738
00:27:36,680 --> 00:27:37,680
They do.
739
00:27:37,680 --> 00:27:38,680
Yeah, they do.
740
00:27:38,680 --> 00:27:41,920
So the price you're like, why would I pay this much more or why is it similar?
741
00:27:41,920 --> 00:27:43,920
Well, it's because shipping is included.
742
00:27:43,920 --> 00:27:44,920
Yeah.
743
00:27:44,920 --> 00:27:46,520
So this is what they ship in.
744
00:27:46,520 --> 00:27:47,520
Yeah.
745
00:27:47,520 --> 00:27:48,920
Well, if you just buy one, they ship in this.
746
00:27:48,920 --> 00:27:49,920
Yeah.
747
00:27:49,920 --> 00:27:50,920
And this is.
748
00:27:50,920 --> 00:27:54,360
Yeah, this is the 48 count box.
749
00:27:54,360 --> 00:27:55,360
Yeah, the bulk.
750
00:27:55,360 --> 00:27:56,360
It's a nice huge size.
751
00:27:56,360 --> 00:28:01,520
But yeah, so the variety pack, I know Britain's getting that together, so that will be available
752
00:28:01,520 --> 00:28:02,520
soon.
753
00:28:02,520 --> 00:28:03,520
Yeah.
754
00:28:03,520 --> 00:28:07,280
You're thinking about maybe coming up with some, you know, maybe desserts with the sellers
755
00:28:07,280 --> 00:28:08,280
or, but we're not sure.
756
00:28:08,280 --> 00:28:12,680
We're just gonna start with a variety pack and go from there.
757
00:28:12,680 --> 00:28:13,680
And we're already working on Christmas.
758
00:28:13,680 --> 00:28:17,160
In a right roast, if you do like non-flavored coffees, putting together.
759
00:28:17,160 --> 00:28:19,160
Oh, that's a good idea.
760
00:28:19,160 --> 00:28:25,200
Yeah, because we have the right roast sampler now.
761
00:28:25,200 --> 00:28:29,560
That's a mouthful.
762
00:28:29,560 --> 00:28:34,920
French roast, Colombian, Colombian, yeah.
763
00:28:34,920 --> 00:28:35,920
Yeah.
764
00:28:35,920 --> 00:28:41,320
And then we are playing with another idea of putting vitamins in coffee.
765
00:28:41,320 --> 00:28:43,480
Oh, we're still doing that, huh?
766
00:28:43,480 --> 00:28:44,480
Yeah.
767
00:28:44,480 --> 00:28:45,480
Morning vitamins.
768
00:28:45,480 --> 00:28:46,480
Okay.
769
00:28:46,480 --> 00:28:49,480
So, I don't know.
770
00:28:49,480 --> 00:28:50,480
It might be fun.
771
00:28:50,480 --> 00:28:51,560
I would do that, right?
772
00:28:51,560 --> 00:28:53,200
Because I forget to take my vitamins all the time.
773
00:28:53,200 --> 00:28:55,760
So if you just sit it in your coffee, then you're like, oh, I've got it.
774
00:28:55,760 --> 00:28:56,760
I've got it for the day.
775
00:28:56,760 --> 00:28:57,760
Right.
776
00:28:57,760 --> 00:28:58,760
Yeah.
777
00:28:58,760 --> 00:28:59,760
That's pretty smart.
778
00:28:59,760 --> 00:29:00,760
So, yeah.
779
00:29:00,760 --> 00:29:01,760
Chelsea, we always have something.
780
00:29:01,760 --> 00:29:04,160
We're always thinking about something.
781
00:29:04,160 --> 00:29:06,760
There's so many ideas and so many things to do, you know.
782
00:29:06,760 --> 00:29:07,760
I know.
783
00:29:07,760 --> 00:29:08,760
It's just picking which one.
784
00:29:08,760 --> 00:29:09,760
Yeah.
785
00:29:09,760 --> 00:29:14,760
And we've got something fun too that we will share in a couple weeks.
786
00:29:14,760 --> 00:29:18,760
So, yeah, we're going to be doing a really fun thing that's coming up.
787
00:29:18,760 --> 00:29:20,760
I'm not sure what she's talking about.
788
00:29:20,760 --> 00:29:21,760
Yeah.
789
00:29:21,760 --> 00:29:23,760
If you like automated things, it's kind of cool.
790
00:29:23,760 --> 00:29:28,760
I used to sit at a restaurant conference and that's what everybody was just talking
791
00:29:28,760 --> 00:29:29,760
about.
792
00:29:29,760 --> 00:29:30,760
It was AI.
793
00:29:30,760 --> 00:29:31,760
Yeah.
794
00:29:31,760 --> 00:29:32,760
It was AI, everything.
795
00:29:32,760 --> 00:29:34,760
Unless you're Snapchat right now, everybody's hating that bot.
796
00:29:34,760 --> 00:29:40,760
And I said I did not want the Snapchat AI and now it messaged me.
797
00:29:40,760 --> 00:29:41,760
That's weird.
798
00:29:41,760 --> 00:29:42,760
I know.
799
00:29:42,760 --> 00:29:43,760
You said no.
800
00:29:43,760 --> 00:29:49,760
I mean, the Snapchat, if, if, I mean, it's so hard to know what's real and what's myth
801
00:29:49,760 --> 00:29:50,760
at some point.
802
00:29:50,760 --> 00:29:55,760
But if those screenshots that people took are true of that, it is bizarre.
803
00:29:55,760 --> 00:29:56,760
Yeah.
804
00:29:56,760 --> 00:29:57,760
And kind of creepy, right?
805
00:29:57,760 --> 00:29:59,760
Because they're like, you don't know where I am.
806
00:29:59,760 --> 00:30:01,760
A person, but then it's not a person.
807
00:30:01,760 --> 00:30:03,760
It's like, no, of course I'm not a person.
808
00:30:03,760 --> 00:30:07,760
One's like, I have a golden retriever and all this like really stuff.
809
00:30:07,760 --> 00:30:09,760
And then it's like, no, I'm AI.
810
00:30:09,760 --> 00:30:10,760
I can't be a person.
811
00:30:10,760 --> 00:30:11,760
Yeah.
812
00:30:11,760 --> 00:30:12,760
That doesn't make me feel comfy.
813
00:30:12,760 --> 00:30:17,760
I mean, I know like our phones are listening to us right now, but like, I don't like it.
814
00:30:17,760 --> 00:30:18,760
Yeah.
815
00:30:18,760 --> 00:30:20,760
Oh, thanks for reminding me, Bill.
816
00:30:20,760 --> 00:30:22,760
I'll pick somebody today.
817
00:30:22,760 --> 00:30:24,760
The pet photo contest.
818
00:30:24,760 --> 00:30:26,760
Yeah, we did.
819
00:30:26,760 --> 00:30:31,760
But you know, I put it in when I made the post in with a normal sale and I think people
820
00:30:31,760 --> 00:30:32,760
dismissed it.
821
00:30:32,760 --> 00:30:33,760
We only had a few people enter.
822
00:30:33,760 --> 00:30:39,760
So I know I kind of want to do it again to get like everybody to send me pictures of
823
00:30:39,760 --> 00:30:42,760
their dogs because I just want to see people's pictures of everybody's dogs.
824
00:30:42,760 --> 00:30:44,760
You know, I just love seeing that.
825
00:30:44,760 --> 00:30:45,760
Oh, it's just I love simple pets.
826
00:30:45,760 --> 00:30:46,760
I know.
827
00:30:46,760 --> 00:30:47,760
They're such our babies.
828
00:30:47,760 --> 00:30:48,760
And Facebook.
829
00:30:48,760 --> 00:30:51,760
I would like to subscribe to so many pet things.
830
00:30:51,760 --> 00:30:52,760
I know.
831
00:30:52,760 --> 00:30:57,760
And we're like, we're, we're doing our, our pet stuff where we're working towards it.
832
00:30:57,760 --> 00:30:58,760
So yeah.
833
00:30:58,760 --> 00:31:00,760
Hopefully they'll have that same.
834
00:31:00,760 --> 00:31:01,760
Yeah.
835
00:31:01,760 --> 00:31:02,760
Super fun.
836
00:31:02,760 --> 00:31:03,760
Yes.
837
00:31:03,760 --> 00:31:04,760
Okay.
838
00:31:04,760 --> 00:31:08,760
Well, I hope we made it a little clear.
839
00:31:08,760 --> 00:31:12,760
The difference between Michigan cherry or black cherry or maybe just confused you more.
840
00:31:12,760 --> 00:31:13,760
Yeah, that's very possible.
841
00:31:13,760 --> 00:31:14,760
We confuse ourselves.
842
00:31:14,760 --> 00:31:15,760
Delicious flavors.
843
00:31:15,760 --> 00:31:16,760
Yes.
844
00:31:16,760 --> 00:31:20,260
There's a reason why Michigan cherry is the best seller and there's a reason why black
845
00:31:20,260 --> 00:31:24,760
cherry is going to be right up to, oh my God, it says sweet off the vine on the box.
846
00:31:24,760 --> 00:31:29,760
I know you did.
847
00:31:29,760 --> 00:31:31,760
And I love you for it.
848
00:31:31,760 --> 00:31:36,760
This is so making my day.
849
00:31:36,760 --> 00:31:38,760
You guys, I've been making fun of her for weeks.
850
00:31:38,760 --> 00:31:41,760
Every time she says sweet off the vine, I said, Lori, it's not a vine.
851
00:31:41,760 --> 00:31:44,760
And I look at the box and it's like, huh, yeah, all right.
852
00:31:44,760 --> 00:31:46,760
It says sweet off the vine on there.
853
00:31:46,760 --> 00:31:48,760
Our box says it is.
854
00:31:48,760 --> 00:31:49,760
I win.
855
00:31:49,760 --> 00:31:50,760
Yep.
856
00:31:50,760 --> 00:31:56,760
You always do win, but it brings me joy.
857
00:31:56,760 --> 00:31:59,760
I'm keeping this box forever because like we're going to end up changing it eventually.
858
00:31:59,760 --> 00:32:01,760
I'm keeping it forever.
859
00:32:01,760 --> 00:32:03,760
Sweet off the stick.
860
00:32:03,760 --> 00:32:05,760
It's not a stick.
861
00:32:05,760 --> 00:32:07,760
Sweet off the stem.
862
00:32:07,760 --> 00:32:09,760
It sounds a branch.
863
00:32:09,760 --> 00:32:11,760
Sweet off the vine.
864
00:32:11,760 --> 00:32:14,760
How about sweet from the farm, sweet from the orchard?
865
00:32:14,760 --> 00:32:16,760
It's fresh.
866
00:32:16,760 --> 00:32:18,760
Picked from the orchard?
867
00:32:18,760 --> 00:32:19,760
Fresh daily?
868
00:32:19,760 --> 00:32:20,760
No.
869
00:32:20,760 --> 00:32:21,760
No.
870
00:32:21,760 --> 00:32:25,760
This is what happens when we start trying to be creative and then some days we just
871
00:32:25,760 --> 00:32:26,760
don't have it.
872
00:32:26,760 --> 00:32:28,760
Today's one of those days.
873
00:32:28,760 --> 00:32:29,760
That's cute.
874
00:32:29,760 --> 00:32:30,760
All right.
875
00:32:30,760 --> 00:32:32,760
Well, everybody have a great week.
876
00:32:32,760 --> 00:32:33,760
Yeah.
877
00:32:33,760 --> 00:32:35,760
Well, you are ordering black cherries.
878
00:32:35,760 --> 00:32:36,760
Thank you.
879
00:32:36,760 --> 00:32:37,760
Slow down on the black cherry.
880
00:32:37,760 --> 00:32:38,760
Yeah.
881
00:32:38,760 --> 00:32:39,760
We'll make more.
882
00:32:39,760 --> 00:32:40,760
Yeah.
