1
00:00:07,919 --> 00:00:11,279
We're cut it to pieces and say there are
2
00:00:11,759 --> 00:00:12,720
They used to take
3
00:00:14,640 --> 00:00:16,079
Now it's just bits of a cap.
4
00:00:19,440 --> 00:00:25,199
Субтитры сделал DimaTorzok Talk about
5
00:00:34,320 --> 00:00:36,719
Virtue signaling, how they're so woe
6
00:00:54,240 --> 00:00:56,380
Call billionaires parasite to middle.
7
00:00:57,359 --> 00:01:06,000
Radical genders into everything they do, judged pretty much by quality and who to include, acting like everyone deserves to live their truth. Show people sure about.
8
00:01:19,439 --> 00:01:24,719
Just too many late for us, try to do a show. Virtue single in how they're so wolf, tip a style.
9
00:01:33,120 --> 00:01:37,871
And welcome to the 530th episode of Cinema Psyops.
10
00:01:38,159 --> 00:01:49,920
I'm your host, Cort, the guy that is super stoked to be talking about Silver Streak. And joining me in the joy of our very first coverage of Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder as a team is my co-host back. Unlike
11
00:01:49,920 --> 00:01:50,620
After you
12
00:01:50,879 --> 00:01:51,408
Yeah.
13
00:01:51,871 --> 00:01:53,552
In this dark realm that we
14
00:01:53,552 --> 00:01:54,512
Like having a good
15
00:01:55,951 --> 00:01:56,432
going on.
16
00:01:56,432 --> 00:01:59,311
Need laughter more in this dark time that we're living in.
17
00:01:59,311 --> 00:02:00,031
It laughed.
18
00:02:00,992 --> 00:02:02,191
And by the way, everyone's not sure.
19
00:02:03,152 --> 00:02:10,352
If we sound sexier or different, it's because we are now talking all digital. We are now broadcasting. Yeah, we're all digital.
20
00:02:10,352 --> 00:02:11,262
Digital now.
21
00:02:11,391 --> 00:02:14,512
Yeah. Matt's been digital for a while. But uh
22
00:02:14,512 --> 00:02:17,722
I've been digital for a while, but now Court's digital.
23
00:02:18,304 --> 00:02:19,024
Cảm ơn các bạn đã theo dõi và hẹn gặp lại.
24
00:02:19,024 --> 00:02:20,943
Now everything's digital.
25
00:02:20,943 --> 00:02:33,024
No well, my laptop is the only computer, no more full use of computers, one for a s Zoom meeting with Matt, one for all of my sound triggering stuff. No more what, one, two, three.
26
00:02:33,312 --> 00:02:33,872
Five six.
27
00:02:35,312 --> 00:02:48,431
Tent twel wow, uh thirteen pieces of electronic equipment that all have to plug into a hundred and twenty volts. The American style uh electrical voltage, uh running all at once. Uh we're saving the planet and we're uh
28
00:02:48,431 --> 00:02:51,312
I mean we have single handedly saved the planet.
29
00:02:51,312 --> 00:02:57,936
Yeah, just by me not using all of that. I'll tell you one thing that we're gonna save is every two weeks my power build that that ship ran up. That's for sure.
30
00:02:57,936 --> 00:02:59,455
Ha ha ha ha.
31
00:02:59,680 --> 00:03:03,280
It'll come charging my car every weekend.
32
00:03:04,240 --> 00:03:07,610
Mm. There you go. See, we're helping.
33
00:03:07,807 --> 00:03:13,616
Hooray. No, uh I wanted to go full digital. I've been talking about it a while. I wanted I wanted to retire the rack and now is the time.
34
00:03:13,632 --> 00:03:27,984
So that's what I'm doing. Um for you gear nuts out there, I'm just gonna say it. Uh I've got a Sure M V seven plus. It's a USB C microphone. And so far my only complaint is uh the software that comes with it doesn't really give you a noise gauge.
35
00:03:28,240 --> 00:03:36,240
And uh Matt and I are gonna have to formulate a plan. I think I'll probably come up with something. We'll just get some kind of third party or freeware software and we'll
36
00:03:38,175 --> 00:03:45,616
But you're gonna hear noises in the background. You're gonna hear noises in the background because I don't have noise gating anymore and it's driving me just as nuts as it will all over here.
37
00:03:45,616 --> 00:03:47,056
Ha ha ha.
38
00:03:47,056 --> 00:03:52,960
And I swear, I turned I turned my phone off, so no I turned my phone to silence, so now you shouldn't hear it buzzing now.
39
00:03:52,960 --> 00:04:02,560
Oh, it doesn't it doesn't matter, man. It really doesn't. People don't care if they hear that stuff. What they wanna care about and hear is the fact that we're gonna be talking about Silver Street this week, nineteen seventy six.
40
00:04:02,560 --> 00:04:04,539
That's the only thing they care about.
41
00:04:05,039 --> 00:04:09,120
So let's give it to them. What do you say? We'll go ahead and take the break here.
42
00:04:09,120 --> 00:04:09,599
That's doing it
43
00:04:09,599 --> 00:04:13,659
Legendary Legion Patreon ad and when we come back we'll jump right into the coverage of Silver Shift.
44
00:04:15,360 --> 00:04:24,220
Oh, hi there. I didn't see ya. You call me cutting a new show. I'm Bo Ransdel, and I'm one of the many creators you can find on Legion Podcasts.
45
00:04:28,560 --> 00:04:35,040
My fellow podcasters and I work hard to bring you the best in horror podcasting, but that comes at a cost.
46
00:04:36,480 --> 00:04:38,399
Live deliciously.
47
00:04:38,399 --> 00:04:49,680
Not that, but also yes. No, what I'm getting at is that there are server costs, costs for good microphones and software for editing, all the things that make our shows, you know, fun to listen to.
48
00:04:50,160 --> 00:04:57,360
And you can help. If you're enjoying the shows on LegionPodcasts.com or in the Legion Network available on
49
00:04:58,560 --> 00:05:06,959
Just about anywhere you can download a podcast, really. You can help us out and get a little something for your trouble at patreon.com/LegionPodcasts
50
00:05:06,959 --> 00:05:07,680
Yeah.
51
00:05:07,855 --> 00:05:21,536
For just two bucks a month, you get a pair of movie commentaries exclusive to Patreon, and for five dollars, you can also join us for a monthly screening of a movie. All of that available on patreon.com/LegionPodcasts
52
00:05:22,016 --> 00:05:24,720
We appreciate it and thank you for listening.
53
00:05:25,199 --> 00:05:26,639
Back to the cutting room.
54
00:05:57,839 --> 00:06:06,480
Man, that is a really really outdated uh promo. Someone ought to rewrite or re-record one or something, but then Bill's voice would be gone.
55
00:06:08,639 --> 00:06:17,759
The best because Bo was kinda gone from the internet, so I haven't heard from him forever. So, Bo, if you're still listening to us, buddy, I miss you, reach out to me. I'd like to hear from you. Uh you got my email.
56
00:06:20,160 --> 00:06:23,740
But enough of that. Let's uh let's actually get into talking about Silver Street and stop it.
57
00:06:24,720 --> 00:06:25,439
Пока.
58
00:06:25,439 --> 00:06:26,399
Let's do it.
59
00:06:30,480 --> 00:06:32,480
That's th that's what I'm trying to say.
60
00:06:32,672 --> 00:06:38,560
Yeah, the film opens with expository dialogue and this is our way. So that is our first
61
00:06:40,959 --> 00:06:41,920
Yes sir.
62
00:06:42,399 --> 00:06:44,319
It's the train to Chicago, the Silver Street.
63
00:06:46,240 --> 00:06:47,199
Thank you.
64
00:06:47,199 --> 00:06:48,160
Next time.
65
00:06:49,120 --> 00:06:50,620
Thanks.
66
00:06:53,279 --> 00:06:54,720
What are those companioners doing up?
67
00:06:57,600 --> 00:06:58,560
Ain't that something?
68
00:06:59,040 --> 00:07:02,879
I didn't know there was a bad number to hit the zone, Lord. Now we got them in five.
69
00:07:04,319 --> 00:07:04,800
Yeah.
70
00:07:07,800 --> 00:07:09,240
Why not?
71
00:07:14,519 --> 00:07:15,959
Am I in the right place?
72
00:07:16,439 --> 00:07:17,399
First class?
73
00:07:17,399 --> 00:07:18,360
Yes, sir.
74
00:07:24,000 --> 00:07:24,480
Oh.
75
00:07:24,480 --> 00:07:27,360
This is the room here, sir. Okay. Thanks a lot. Thank you, sir. Bye-bye.
76
00:07:27,360 --> 00:07:28,319
Have a pleasant trip.
77
00:07:28,319 --> 00:07:33,120
Sir, you think you're going to be needing all these bags up there? If not, I can store some of them down till then.
78
00:07:33,120 --> 00:07:38,259
Sure, sure. All I need is this one and that one. You can take this. All right. And I'll keep the briefcase.
79
00:07:38,279 --> 00:07:39,000
I'll take that.
80
00:07:40,920 --> 00:07:41,879
कर दो कर दो
81
00:07:42,360 --> 00:07:44,759
Thanks. And this is...
82
00:07:44,759 --> 00:07:45,720
This is your laboratory?
83
00:07:46,680 --> 00:07:48,120
Nice big room.
84
00:07:48,120 --> 00:07:49,079
Very convenient.
85
00:07:49,560 --> 00:07:51,000
What's this partition?
86
00:07:51,000 --> 00:07:53,019
Oh, that turns the room into a double suite.
87
00:07:54,000 --> 00:07:56,879
We used to have a lot of calls for the honeymooners, but...
88
00:07:58,800 --> 00:08:01,680
This latch seems to be stuck, that's all.
89
00:08:01,680 --> 00:08:02,639
Minds change.
90
00:08:05,872 --> 00:08:09,711
No, I I agree with everything you said. All I want to do is take it easy.
91
00:08:09,711 --> 00:08:10,192
Good.
92
00:08:11,151 --> 00:08:15,471
Just settle back and enjoy the trip because uh it ain't gonna be too exciting now, but we'll get you there.
93
00:08:15,951 --> 00:08:16,432
Okay.
94
00:08:16,432 --> 00:08:17,391
Have a nice ride.
95
00:08:17,391 --> 00:08:18,112
Thanks a lot.
96
00:08:18,319 --> 00:08:19,040
Bye-bye.
97
00:08:26,639 --> 00:08:39,678
After that it starts a long credit sequence of the train pulling out of the station and crossing the country before cutting to the dining car, and a woman asking Gene Wilder if he likes her perfume in our second clip. Because this is the way.
98
00:08:40,639 --> 00:08:42,080
Do you like this perfume?
99
00:08:42,558 --> 00:08:44,480
I mix it myself.
100
00:08:44,960 --> 00:08:45,919
감사합니다.
101
00:08:48,799 --> 00:08:52,639
That's something, huh? Yes, sir. We leave Los Angeles.
102
00:08:53,120 --> 00:08:57,559
Go right up there to Nevada, into Colorado, across the Rockies.
103
00:08:58,039 --> 00:09:02,360
Up to Kansas City, Kansas. Right in here is a town called Ashford, Missouri.
104
00:09:02,840 --> 00:09:10,159
Cross a big Mississippi two and a half days or right up there to Chicago, Illinois. That's some trip, huh? Mm-hmm. You're from Chicago?
105
00:09:11,600 --> 00:09:15,919
I'm from Chicago. My name is Bob Sweet. A sweet man, but a mean baby.
106
00:09:16,879 --> 00:09:17,840
Субтитры сделал DimaTorzok
107
00:09:20,240 --> 00:09:23,600
George wants to racket you and No kidding.
108
00:09:23,600 --> 00:09:23,940
Come on.
109
00:09:23,960 --> 00:09:24,679
Come on, sit down here.
110
00:09:25,159 --> 00:09:25,639
Nice.
111
00:09:25,639 --> 00:09:27,559
You know, I'm in uh vitamins myself.
112
00:09:29,000 --> 00:09:33,799
Here, here, there's a sample for you, vitamin E. Now that is great for the old pecker.
113
00:09:36,200 --> 00:09:42,080
Yeah, it really keeps a pencil sharp. I'm not kidding. Have you had a uh chance yet to uh check out the action?
114
00:09:42,080 --> 00:09:45,440
No. Actually this is the first time I've ever taken a train.
115
00:09:45,440 --> 00:09:46,399
You're kidding.
116
00:09:46,879 --> 00:09:49,759
Come on. Well, you're in for the ride of your life.
117
00:09:50,240 --> 00:09:54,679
We just pick out a little chicky, my friend, and it's hugging munch all the way to Chicago.
118
00:09:56,600 --> 00:10:02,360
I do it all the time. I tell my boss that I'm afraid of flying and I get this action twice a year.
119
00:10:02,840 --> 00:10:04,759
It's a cat house on a wheel.
120
00:10:05,720 --> 00:10:10,159
Come on, Caleb. Come on. It's something about the movement of the trainer does it.
121
00:10:11,120 --> 00:10:13,039
All that motion makes a girl horny.
122
00:10:14,480 --> 00:10:20,720
Well I'll tell you, Bob, I'm not really interested in the shipboard romance. I took the train to rest and get a lot of readings.
123
00:10:20,720 --> 00:10:23,940
Oh, hold it, hold it. Right there, George. I believe I see my chicken.
124
00:10:23,960 --> 00:10:25,159
for tonight.
125
00:10:25,159 --> 00:10:26,120
Hi there.
126
00:10:26,600 --> 00:10:28,519
Can I uh buy you a drink?
127
00:10:28,519 --> 00:10:29,960
I have one. Thank you.
128
00:10:29,960 --> 00:10:35,720
Well, I'll just enjoy you. That's an old-fashioned ride. Can you go all the way?
129
00:10:37,159 --> 00:10:38,940
I said, do you go all the way?
130
00:10:41,600 --> 00:10:43,039
Yes, I do.
131
00:10:45,440 --> 00:10:46,399
Do what?
132
00:10:46,399 --> 00:10:53,600
Go to Chicago. I mean, you know, we're gonna be uh we're stuck on this train together and you can't jump off.
133
00:10:53,960 --> 00:10:55,159
Продолжение следует...
134
00:10:55,159 --> 00:10:56,120
Ha ha ha.
135
00:10:56,120 --> 00:10:58,039
Thank you.
136
00:10:59,960 --> 00:11:01,399
I said, are you
137
00:11:02,360 --> 00:11:04,279
Lady, I am always hot.
138
00:11:05,240 --> 00:11:06,460
I can cool you down.
139
00:11:10,080 --> 00:11:11,519
How's the lab?
140
00:11:12,960 --> 00:11:16,799
Yes. Please sit down. What a nice surprise.
141
00:11:16,799 --> 00:11:20,639
Uh I said how's the latch? We have connecting rooms
142
00:11:21,600 --> 00:11:28,320
Good, it's good, it's fine, thank you. It's a little bit rusty, but nothing serious. I'll get the porter to look at it.
143
00:11:28,320 --> 00:11:30,360
There's no rush, is there?
144
00:11:30,360 --> 00:11:32,279
But it looks like a cocktail.
145
00:11:32,279 --> 00:11:35,159
Um a martini on the rocks with the twins.
146
00:11:35,159 --> 00:11:35,639
Thank you.
147
00:11:35,639 --> 00:11:36,120
Two.
148
00:11:36,600 --> 00:11:37,080
Yes, sir.
149
00:11:37,080 --> 00:11:39,000
My name is George Caldwell.
150
00:11:39,480 --> 00:11:40,919
Hilly Burns.
151
00:11:40,919 --> 00:11:41,879
Hilly Burns.
152
00:11:41,879 --> 00:11:42,360
Thank you.
153
00:11:42,360 --> 00:11:45,840
That's short for Hildegard. What's that pencil for?
154
00:11:46,320 --> 00:11:48,720
You have to fill out your own menu card.
155
00:11:48,720 --> 00:11:56,879
One Macedon of fruit, beef oriental rice carrots, coffee, apple pie a la Mot. You print very well.
156
00:11:57,360 --> 00:11:58,320
Thanks.
157
00:11:58,799 --> 00:12:06,120
I'll have the same thing. You do it for me. I can't even read my own writing. I don't do shorthand and I can't type.
158
00:12:06,120 --> 00:12:07,080
What do you do for a living?
159
00:12:07,559 --> 00:12:08,519
I'm a secretary.
160
00:12:08,519 --> 00:12:09,960
Or how do you keep your job?
161
00:12:09,960 --> 00:12:14,279
I give great phone. I have a terrific personality.
162
00:12:14,639 --> 00:12:15,840
You going to Chicago?
163
00:12:15,840 --> 00:12:18,720
Yes? I'm going to my sister's wedding.
164
00:12:18,720 --> 00:12:22,080
How come you're taking the train? You afraid of flying?
165
00:12:22,080 --> 00:12:24,960
No, I'm not afraid of flying. I uh
166
00:12:24,960 --> 00:12:25,440
Thank you.
167
00:12:25,440 --> 00:12:26,879
I just want to be bored.
168
00:12:29,799 --> 00:12:30,500
And you?
169
00:12:31,720 --> 00:12:36,039
Oh, my new boss likes the old-fashioned ways.
170
00:12:37,000 --> 00:12:43,720
He's just written a book on Rembrandt and he's gonna kick off his publicity campaign with um a lecture at the Art Institute.
171
00:12:43,720 --> 00:12:45,980
Oh yes, I'm in publishing. What's his name?
172
00:12:46,000 --> 00:12:48,639
Professor Arthur Schreiner. Have you heard of him?
173
00:12:50,559 --> 00:12:56,320
Most people have it. He's um he's been a recluse working on this book for about twenty years.
174
00:12:56,320 --> 00:12:57,279
Where is he now?
175
00:12:57,759 --> 00:13:00,980
Oh, he's in bed with a glass of hot milk molasses. He's a health nun.
176
00:13:02,200 --> 00:13:03,639
Howdy published.
177
00:13:03,639 --> 00:13:07,015
All mostly non-fiction, gardening.
178
00:13:07,015 --> 00:13:07,975
Как так?
179
00:13:07,975 --> 00:13:08,936
How to do it books?
180
00:13:09,895 --> 00:13:11,336
Like sex manuals?
181
00:13:11,816 --> 00:13:13,255
I've edited a few.
182
00:13:15,655 --> 00:13:17,576
I know what goes where I'm going to do it.
183
00:13:18,056 --> 00:13:18,535
Thank you.
184
00:13:18,535 --> 00:13:19,015
Bye.
185
00:13:19,495 --> 00:13:22,015
That's very interesting. You married?
186
00:13:25,960 --> 00:13:31,240
My friends all told me that my wife was too good for me, and after a couple of years I decided they were right.
187
00:13:31,720 --> 00:13:32,899
Sounds sad.
188
00:13:33,399 --> 00:13:38,919
Uh you say that your boss is in art history. Is that what you're interested in?
189
00:13:38,919 --> 00:13:40,360
Not really.
190
00:13:40,840 --> 00:13:44,419
I just got this job because I was available. I was willing to travel.
191
00:13:48,519 --> 00:13:49,480
Продолжение следует...
192
00:13:50,919 --> 00:13:57,159
We'll have a bottle of the moutong cadet 1971.
193
00:13:57,639 --> 00:13:59,080
Very good, sir.
194
00:13:59,559 --> 00:14:01,000
You do that very well.
195
00:14:01,230 --> 00:14:03,279
I give great French.
196
00:14:03,279 --> 00:14:09,519
Good Lord Ned Beatty is at some of his fucking sleaziest in that clip, right? Oh, it's just gross. Mm-hmm.
197
00:14:09,519 --> 00:14:13,296
Really is just What a gross dude.
198
00:14:14,255 --> 00:14:15,696
I do love the way that she puts it.
199
00:14:15,696 --> 00:14:16,176
That's lovely.
200
00:14:16,176 --> 00:14:18,426
In his place. Yeah, in the movie, obviously.
201
00:14:18,624 --> 00:14:33,456
Uh and I also I I had to just do this. I love that perfume woman causes George to just kind of dive out of the way and hide during the dinner scene there. Yeah. Uh when she's walking through'cause like she was kind of hitting on him and he just wasn't into her perfume. Establishing once again that Gene Wilder is this.
202
00:14:33,615 --> 00:14:36,759
Wild fucking woman's man where all these ladies love him.
203
00:14:37,000 --> 00:14:37,720
Yeah.
204
00:14:37,720 --> 00:14:43,000
Apparently, man, uh fucking, I don't know. Dude's got it going on. All right, what are we supposed to do about it?
205
00:14:43,000 --> 00:14:55,063
But that dive out of the way at the diner is a bit of physical comedy that was absolute genius. This that's the he's really good at doing physical comedy in a such a way and that particular dive was really fucking fun.
206
00:14:55,063 --> 00:14:57,464
Mm-hmm. Yeah, no, that was really good.
207
00:14:57,464 --> 00:15:10,327
And then at the end of the clip, what we see is Richard Keel looking like Jaws from the Bond movies, roughing up a dude, and then they cut back to the lady that came on to Gene Wilder, laughing loudly at his jokes.
208
00:15:10,552 --> 00:15:22,600
And all but presenting to him like a mandrel as they sip champagne and are eating food together, they run out of champagne and get making with the fuck apparently as they head back to their d adjoining rooms.
209
00:15:25,847 --> 00:15:39,847
I love that little bit where Gene calls Ned on his shit when he gets the girl Ned was uh sleezing on and the Mm-hmm and then also the bit of no room in the hallway where that one big man is trying to get cross and then
210
00:15:40,583 --> 00:15:50,183
Oh yeah. Then he basically just gets knocked right into that other woman's room, then she starts panicking because um for all she knows, a man with champagne just charged into her room. She has every right to be panicked and scared.
211
00:15:51,144 --> 00:15:54,384
Right? I would be. I'd be like, What the fuck are you?
212
00:15:54,552 --> 00:16:04,100
And then he ends up hiding out in another guy's room and then just starts pretending like he's inspecting the room while the guy buys it just so like he can be out of the way of the other larger gentleman.
213
00:16:04,100 --> 00:16:04,807
Thanks.
214
00:16:05,288 --> 00:16:06,248
That's just, yeah.
215
00:16:06,248 --> 00:16:14,967
Is Gene Wilder at his best playing timid and then being silly and trying to cover some insane action that he just did? This is superb stuff right here. I love all of these bits.
216
00:16:14,967 --> 00:16:15,447
Thank you.
217
00:16:15,927 --> 00:16:17,368
yeah i know it's awesome
218
00:16:17,368 --> 00:16:24,087
Yeah. Well that whole inspecting it bit, we finally end up where he means to be, and that is the start of our
219
00:16:24,567 --> 00:16:25,697
This is very nice.
220
00:16:27,399 --> 00:16:29,059
Would you like some champagne?
221
00:16:30,279 --> 00:16:33,379
I can't get over the size of this room without the partition.
222
00:16:34,600 --> 00:16:37,000
They are small rooms by themselves.
223
00:16:37,480 --> 00:16:38,919
They're perfect for Joglies.
224
00:16:40,360 --> 00:16:44,200
For juggling. When you practice, the balls would always bounce off the walls.
225
00:16:45,159 --> 00:16:46,340
Juggle a lot.
226
00:16:48,039 --> 00:16:50,659
I know what goes where and why.
227
00:16:52,600 --> 00:16:53,320
I like it.
228
00:16:53,320 --> 00:16:54,500
That song.
229
00:16:55,480 --> 00:16:57,399
If I ever hear it again.
230
00:16:58,840 --> 00:17:00,759
It'll be difficult not to think of you.
231
00:17:07,480 --> 00:17:09,400
To traveling by train.
232
00:17:09,880 --> 00:17:12,279
Trains that pass in the night.
233
00:17:14,680 --> 00:17:15,880
You like my new shoes?
234
00:17:16,358 --> 00:17:18,980
Yes, I do. Why don't you take them off?
235
00:17:19,480 --> 00:17:22,358
You can put them in that little locker over there in the porter. We'll have them shine.
236
00:17:24,759 --> 00:17:26,680
That's terrific.
237
00:17:27,880 --> 00:17:29,539
Is that the master's work?
238
00:17:33,400 --> 00:17:34,359
Safe keeping.
239
00:17:35,319 --> 00:17:36,759
You wanna read it?
240
00:17:42,039 --> 00:17:43,480
Slide over.
241
00:17:45,880 --> 00:17:47,319
It's beautiful isn't it?
242
00:17:49,720 --> 00:18:03,319
And with that they begin the dance of those that fuck as they have precoidal sort of pillow talk and then make out slowly and somewhat cashly as they talk about gardening or some shit. This is supposed to be hot and sexy, but I just
243
00:18:03,367 --> 00:18:07,448
Feel bad that these people think that this is hot and sexy. And whoever wrote this thought that
244
00:18:07,448 --> 00:18:14,438
You know, it was a different time. Uh what's hot and sexy to you, maybe it's not hot and sexy to everyone else.
245
00:18:15,048 --> 00:18:18,647
If this is your hot and sexy, you are a vanilla manny's motherfucker.
246
00:18:18,647 --> 00:18:24,567
Yeah, I mean I'm not saying it's for me, but I'm just saying, you know, don't kink shame people for being.
247
00:18:24,567 --> 00:18:32,248
Don't lack of kink shame people. Yeah. Don't lack of kink shame people. Yeah. Having normal sexual healthy relations without kink, I guess. Whatever.
248
00:18:33,160 --> 00:18:43,960
All right, she works her way down on him during this and as she does so a corpse drops down and interrupts them when Gene Wilder screams in terror, which is one of the things he is amazing at.
249
00:18:45,352 --> 00:18:51,223
And she tries to talk him down, even though we all know he saw that corpse.
250
00:18:51,703 --> 00:18:52,663
Having said that, yeah.
251
00:18:52,663 --> 00:18:56,104
The uh uh the the prison scene where everyone's all afraid.
252
00:18:56,327 --> 00:18:57,048
Yeah.
253
00:18:57,048 --> 00:19:06,647
Having said that, maybe he should have just minded his own business and kept going'cause he was about to get blown. Like who cares if a corpse got dropped off a train? Just keep your mouth shut.
254
00:19:07,688 --> 00:19:08,407
Except the old.
255
00:19:08,407 --> 00:19:14,728
If you you gotta power through. If you want, you know if you want some of the fun, you gotta power through shit.
256
00:19:14,759 --> 00:19:23,160
Yeah, and also if someone's about to wrap their mouth around your member and you scream in terror, maybe you uh might, you know, not get that again.
257
00:19:23,160 --> 00:19:32,567
I don't know, yeah, maybe not. I'm just saying, yeah, you're not wrong. I mean, come on. But again, comedy. Let's let's not look too deep into it.
258
00:19:32,711 --> 00:19:44,695
She soothes him once again and they start making out again and the film cuts to the train porn as we watch the train traverse rocky, arid terrain. So we don't actually see any fucking, we just watch a train move across the desert land.
259
00:19:44,887 --> 00:19:53,528
You know what it kinda remind me of, uh having to settle down is uh Bastard Party with the guy with the with his pants down and then he falls into the car sunroof.
260
00:19:54,887 --> 00:19:57,048
All right.
261
00:19:57,528 --> 00:20:09,672
We see George kissing a giving a kiss to a sleeping Hilly to say goodbye, only to realize the boss was the corpse that he saw and wakes her up to tell us and her in this fortune.
262
00:20:09,672 --> 00:20:10,821
What? Jilly?
263
00:20:11,319 --> 00:20:12,519
Hilly?
264
00:20:13,000 --> 00:20:14,660
Hilly, wake up!
265
00:20:15,400 --> 00:20:16,599
Thank you.
266
00:20:16,599 --> 00:20:17,509
Really chew.
267
00:20:17,703 --> 00:20:22,023
Hilly, the man that I saw outside the window last night, this is him.
268
00:20:22,023 --> 00:20:24,183
Smite boss.
269
00:20:24,183 --> 00:20:25,144
Professor.
270
00:20:25,144 --> 00:20:26,584
I know it. That's what I'm talking about.
271
00:20:26,584 --> 00:20:27,064
What's it?
272
00:20:27,544 --> 00:20:29,253
It's just after eight.
273
00:20:29,592 --> 00:20:33,192
Hey, oh no. Wake me up again when it's after tea.
274
00:20:33,192 --> 00:20:35,301
Hilly, this man has been murdered.
275
00:20:36,759 --> 00:20:37,960
Well,
276
00:20:39,400 --> 00:20:48,259
Why don't you go down the hall and discuss it with him and then come back here and discuss it with me? He's just right past the diner room seat.
277
00:20:49,480 --> 00:20:51,400
Hilly, I didn't imagine it.
278
00:20:51,880 --> 00:20:54,980
Good night, Joy. A wonderful garden.
279
00:21:01,000 --> 00:21:01,960
Hey, George!
280
00:21:01,960 --> 00:21:03,400
That one. Come on!
281
00:21:03,400 --> 00:21:04,359
Join me for coffee.
282
00:21:04,359 --> 00:21:07,940
All right. Uh I'll be right back. I just have to check on something.
283
00:21:18,519 --> 00:21:20,440
Professor Schreiner, please.
284
00:21:22,359 --> 00:21:24,279
My name is George Caldwell.
285
00:21:24,759 --> 00:21:26,559
You were a friend of the professor?
286
00:21:26,711 --> 00:21:30,791
No, not exactly. I'm a friend of his secretaries. We were a little worried about him.
287
00:21:31,271 --> 00:21:33,862
Yeah, what are you worried about?
288
00:21:34,359 --> 00:21:35,079
Thank you.
289
00:21:35,079 --> 00:21:37,220
Can't I talk to the professor?
290
00:21:40,359 --> 00:21:41,799
What are you doing in there?
291
00:21:41,799 --> 00:21:46,119
Yeah, I think you're sticking your nose in where it don't belong. You and that broad are gonna get yourself in trouble.
292
00:21:46,599 --> 00:21:48,519
In fact, she's already in trouble.
293
00:21:49,000 --> 00:21:51,880
You're the one who's in trouble, mister. Re not me.
294
00:21:51,880 --> 00:21:53,059
Get rid of this bomb.
295
00:21:55,000 --> 00:21:55,480
What?
296
00:21:55,480 --> 00:21:56,440
What are you doing?
297
00:21:56,920 --> 00:21:57,880
Hey!
298
00:21:58,359 --> 00:22:00,549
Listen, you big lomox, let me go!
299
00:22:00,728 --> 00:22:01,448
WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU
300
00:22:01,448 --> 00:22:03,367
Crazy is the buttons.
301
00:22:03,367 --> 00:22:04,807
What the hell's the matter with you?
302
00:22:05,288 --> 00:22:09,607
All right, listen, Buster, you're in trouble. And I mean big trouble because I'm reporting you.
303
00:22:12,279 --> 00:22:18,039
Can't be serious. Wait a minute. All right, enough's enough. They wanna if you're willing to figure it out. I don't believe this! Are you kidding?
304
00:22:18,519 --> 00:22:24,740
I just love that Gene Wowder's characters live in this little like protective bubble where they don't realize bad things are about to happen to them.
305
00:22:24,887 --> 00:22:33,768
But in this character, bad things do happen to him. And then he's just like still in a protective bubble where he thinks, I live in a society, damn it. We're good people.
306
00:22:33,768 --> 00:22:34,728
Ha ha ha.
307
00:22:34,728 --> 00:22:38,657
Yeah, it's it's maybe bad stuff's happening now, but it'll get fixed.
308
00:22:40,903 --> 00:22:54,104
With that he is thrown off of the train and cannot get back once up and finds his way walking along the tracks until he crosses a rock formation, and finds a farm or homestead in this desert, awful, arid land, and then the water, and the case.
309
00:22:56,759 --> 00:22:57,240
Well.
310
00:22:57,720 --> 00:23:00,230
That's you, Peppy. You're in one heap of trouble.
311
00:23:00,567 --> 00:23:02,248
No, it's not Peppy.
312
00:23:02,248 --> 00:23:03,688
¡Where's Pepe?!
313
00:23:03,688 --> 00:23:05,607
I don't know. My name is George
314
00:23:06,087 --> 00:23:08,488
He's gone off again with that no account.
315
00:23:11,079 --> 00:23:14,680
Smoke a little weed and the next thing you know, they're off buzzing the creepy.
316
00:23:15,160 --> 00:23:16,119
Excuse me.
317
00:23:16,119 --> 00:23:17,559
30 years ago.
318
00:23:17,559 --> 00:23:19,910
Excuse me, do you think I could use your telephone?
319
00:23:21,096 --> 00:23:22,056
Yes.
320
00:23:22,056 --> 00:23:23,496
You ain't from around here, are you?
321
00:23:23,976 --> 00:23:28,296
No, I'm lost. I'm not lost, but I was thrown off of the silver streak.
322
00:23:28,296 --> 00:23:32,471
Matter of fact. Tell me, is there a woman in this?
323
00:23:33,031 --> 00:23:34,231
Well there's a girl.
324
00:23:34,231 --> 00:23:36,152
I knew it.
325
00:23:36,152 --> 00:23:45,367
No, no, no. It's nothing to do with what you're thinking. Uh actually she's in a great deal of danger. That's why I have to use your telephone so I can call the police and have those people who threw me off the train arrested.
326
00:23:45,367 --> 00:23:47,288
Well, it sounds like you're in an awful hurry.
327
00:23:47,288 --> 00:23:49,208
I am. That's what I'm trying to tell you.
328
00:23:49,208 --> 00:23:53,432
Suits me just fine, cause I'm running a little bit late myself. Uh-huh. Tell you what, Steve.
329
00:23:53,432 --> 00:23:55,832
George. George Caldwell.
330
00:23:55,832 --> 00:23:56,311
Read a book.
331
00:23:56,311 --> 00:23:57,541
How do you do?
332
00:23:57,799 --> 00:24:02,839
If you'll finish milking old Harriet over there, I'll go in and change and you can ride into town with me.
333
00:24:02,839 --> 00:24:03,319
Great.
334
00:24:03,319 --> 00:24:03,799
Let's go.
335
00:24:03,799 --> 00:24:04,759
There's a good friend of mine.
336
00:24:04,759 --> 00:24:07,160
Wonderful. Just tell me what I have to do.
337
00:24:07,160 --> 00:24:08,599
Well you just take this bucket?
338
00:24:08,599 --> 00:24:09,119
Milk.
339
00:24:09,480 --> 00:24:12,119
Milk her? I've never milked a cow before.
340
00:24:12,599 --> 00:24:17,410
What the gas, Steve. You're a grown man. I'm sure you've had some similar experience.
341
00:24:17,928 --> 00:24:19,607
Ha ha ha.
342
00:24:19,607 --> 00:24:24,519
Look, you just sit down, take a tit in each hand and let nature take its course.
343
00:24:24,519 --> 00:24:25,480
Right.
344
00:24:25,480 --> 00:24:29,799
These cows are so fun It's like tapping a trip valve on Niagara Farm.
345
00:24:29,799 --> 00:24:30,279
Oh.
346
00:24:30,279 --> 00:24:30,759
Yeah.
347
00:24:30,759 --> 00:24:32,680
Altyazı M.K.
348
00:24:32,680 --> 00:24:34,599
All right. I'll do my best.
349
00:24:43,279 --> 00:24:43,980
Yeah.
350
00:24:44,480 --> 00:24:46,880
Just be nice, be nice.
351
00:24:49,759 --> 00:24:50,480
감사합니다.
352
00:24:52,880 --> 00:24:54,539
You've got four of them.
353
00:24:56,720 --> 00:24:59,599
Come on, Harriet. Come on. Give me a break.
354
00:25:01,279 --> 00:25:08,480
The bit about him milking the cow and the woman turning out to be an insane bush pilot was pretty fucking funny, too. I really enjoyed that part.
355
00:25:08,480 --> 00:25:09,920
Yeah, that's hilarious.
356
00:25:09,920 --> 00:25:10,700
Yeah.
357
00:25:10,736 --> 00:25:18,400
They formulate a plan to get to a city before the silver streak does and get the law involved at its next stop.
358
00:25:18,864 --> 00:25:31,839
And even see the train on the way there flying over top of it. But the Bush pilot lady decides to take a detour and scare the shit out of a bunch of sheep just because she is bored and fucking cruel. And the film cuts from that.
359
00:25:32,112 --> 00:25:44,576
to them pulling up just in time for George to run his ass off and get back onto the caboose of the train by the help of a bunch of partying folks having a great time and not really thinking about what they were doing, helping a guy jump on a train.
360
00:25:46,432 --> 00:25:47,872
And then it cuts from that to him.
361
00:25:47,872 --> 00:25:49,791
What might you have to think about that?
362
00:25:50,528 --> 00:26:02,240
And it cuts from that to him making his way into a dining car and finding Hilly with another man, only to run into the still extremely sleazy Ned Beatty and starting up the conversation that is ours.
363
00:26:04,640 --> 00:26:07,039
I ask you to join me for breakfast. This is lunch.
364
00:26:08,960 --> 00:26:09,440
Last track.
365
00:26:13,279 --> 00:26:14,240
What are you doing back there?
366
00:26:14,720 --> 00:26:16,160
Getting a last.
367
00:26:16,976 --> 00:26:19,135
No, I was squeezing tits.
368
00:26:19,135 --> 00:26:20,576
Yeah.
369
00:26:22,976 --> 00:26:26,336
Kinda worked up a sweat too, didn't you, Arnie, Pastor?
370
00:26:26,816 --> 00:26:27,776
What do you expect?
371
00:26:30,703 --> 00:26:32,864
And he's very heavy competition.
372
00:26:32,864 --> 00:26:33,903
You know him?
373
00:26:34,640 --> 00:26:40,640
Doesn't everybody know him? That's Roger Devereaux. He's Chicago's own uh jet setter.
374
00:26:40,640 --> 00:26:41,119
Ha ha.
375
00:26:41,119 --> 00:26:45,930
I mean you know he's a big cheese on the art institute, something like that. Like I say, very heavy competition.
376
00:26:47,296 --> 00:26:48,976
Are you gonna take him on?
377
00:26:48,976 --> 00:26:50,895
감사합니다.
378
00:26:57,920 --> 00:26:59,839
Are you alright?
379
00:27:15,680 --> 00:27:18,559
Last time I saw you you were gonna go visit the professor.
380
00:27:19,039 --> 00:27:21,680
Kelly, the professor is dead.
381
00:27:21,680 --> 00:27:22,640
George.
382
00:27:22,640 --> 00:27:31,980
Listen to me. I went to his room this morning and he wasn't there. Two dumb thugs were looking through his things. They pushed me out of his room and threw me off the train.
383
00:27:33,440 --> 00:27:42,559
The point is they were searching for something, I don't know what, but they've killed the professor for it, and now I'm positive they're gonna go after you. We've gotta get off the train and contact the police.
384
00:27:42,559 --> 00:27:44,480
George, you've got it all mixed up.
385
00:27:44,480 --> 00:27:45,740
I don't have it mixed up.
386
00:27:46,336 --> 00:27:48,319
I'm just worried about you.
387
00:27:51,759 --> 00:27:55,872
Hello, Roger. Uh this is my friend George Caldwell, Roger Deverell.
388
00:27:56,847 --> 00:27:59,968
George has just been telling me how he'd been thrown off the train.
389
00:27:59,968 --> 00:28:02,367
Oh you're the one. I'm so pleased to see you.
390
00:28:02,367 --> 00:28:03,807
Yes, I'm fine.
391
00:28:03,807 --> 00:28:16,544
Oh that's good news. As soon as I was told, I contacted the lease in Albuquerque and told them to spare no expense to make sure he was safe. Reese, he's like a child, got off the train and tried to find you, say he was sorry. How did you get back on?
392
00:28:16,544 --> 00:28:17,503
Yeah.
393
00:28:17,503 --> 00:28:22,304
He's the one that threw you off.
394
00:28:22,304 --> 00:28:22,784
should work.
395
00:28:22,784 --> 00:28:25,183
I do remember, but what has he got to do with you?
396
00:28:25,183 --> 00:28:33,632
Works for me, he's my chauffeur, not very bright and extremely loyal. Naturally, I assume total responsibility for all his actions and will pay for any damages.
397
00:28:33,632 --> 00:28:35,071
And what about that other fellow?
398
00:28:35,071 --> 00:28:37,951
Mm. I met another man this morning. Does he work for you too?
399
00:28:37,951 --> 00:28:39,021
Oh yeah, yes of course I
400
00:28:39,311 --> 00:28:53,375
y you don't know the entire story, do you? Early this morning I was having breakfast with Professor Schreiner, and he wanted to show me some important papers connected with his book, but unfortunately they were missing. So we
401
00:28:53,647 --> 00:29:04,928
searched his compartment twice, and eventually rediscovered them in his trunk in the baggage room. It was something of an upset, but if you renew the professor you'll know he's slightly absent minded.
402
00:29:04,928 --> 00:29:10,688
Mr Devereux, I'm very confused. I don't understand how you could have had breakfast with Professor Schreiner this morning.
403
00:29:10,688 --> 00:29:12,528
George thinks the professor's been murdered.
404
00:29:13,440 --> 00:29:14,880
That's right, last night.
405
00:29:14,880 --> 00:29:16,319
That's extraordinary. Why should you think that?
406
00:29:16,319 --> 00:29:21,119
Because I saw him fall off the roof of this train just outside this window. He was shot in the head.
407
00:29:21,599 --> 00:29:23,519
You were in this compartment.
408
00:29:23,519 --> 00:29:25,200
I was lying right here.
409
00:29:27,327 --> 00:29:31,208
He'd have to go back to Mike and Bob and straighten it out. He doesn't know what he's doing.
410
00:29:32,016 --> 00:29:32,736
Europe?
411
00:29:32,736 --> 00:29:33,215
시청해주셔서 감사합니다.
412
00:29:33,215 --> 00:29:37,536
Professor Schreiner, Mrwell
413
00:29:39,344 --> 00:29:40,064
Thank you.
414
00:29:42,223 --> 00:29:46,784
Mr. Colwell is the man that Reese inadvertently threw off the track.
415
00:29:46,784 --> 00:29:47,263
Okay.
416
00:29:47,743 --> 00:29:52,263
Oh yes, that stupid person. I do hope you weren't hurt.
417
00:29:53,104 --> 00:29:55,023
No, no, I'm alright.
418
00:29:55,023 --> 00:30:01,983
I suppose I'm to blame for this morning's fracas, after all, none of this would have happened if I hadn't displaced the rembrant.
419
00:30:02,463 --> 00:30:02,943
Thank you.
420
00:30:02,943 --> 00:30:03,213
What?
421
00:30:04,096 --> 00:30:07,695
Doesn't matter. I'm so glad that you're all right and managed to get back on the train.
422
00:30:08,175 --> 00:30:10,375
Professor, I put back as much I put back
423
00:30:11,119 --> 00:30:12,319
Hey!How'd you get here?
424
00:30:12,319 --> 00:30:23,872
Uh Mr Colwell, allow me to introduce an associate of mine, Mr Whiny. If an apology is due, I'm sure that he'd be prepared to make it. It's a pity that Reese is not here to do the same.
425
00:30:23,872 --> 00:30:29,087
Grease that moron. It was all his fault. I was looking for the papers. I never touched you, did I? No?
426
00:30:29,087 --> 00:30:30,048
No, see?
427
00:30:30,048 --> 00:30:34,127
It's been uh very hectic for me. I think I'll have a scotch and lie down.
428
00:30:34,847 --> 00:30:36,528
I don't should use my company.
429
00:30:36,528 --> 00:30:37,738
Thank you.
430
00:30:38,192 --> 00:30:46,592
Hilly, will you help him with that mess? Mr Caldwell, it's been nice meeting you. I hope the rest of the trip for both of us is a little less exhilarating.
431
00:30:46,592 --> 00:30:47,692
Let's hope so.
432
00:30:50,448 --> 00:30:53,567
I think I've made a silly fool of myself this moment.
433
00:30:55,008 --> 00:31:07,776
No, no, I did. I I was just sticking my nose into a lot of stuff that's none of my business and coming up with some crazy ideas. You were right. I guess I was imagining a lot of things last night. Probably the champagne. George.
434
00:31:09,087 --> 00:31:09,807
Yeah.
435
00:31:11,008 --> 00:31:11,488
Your chat.
436
00:31:11,488 --> 00:31:12,448
That's all right.
437
00:31:13,695 --> 00:31:18,256
We get to Chicago tomorrow and I did come on this trip to do some work, so I'll say goodbye.
438
00:31:18,256 --> 00:31:21,615
By my conclusion, possibly join us for dinner this evening.
439
00:31:21,615 --> 00:31:22,096
Yes.
440
00:31:22,096 --> 00:31:22,576
Two.
441
00:31:22,576 --> 00:31:23,056
Thanks.
442
00:31:23,056 --> 00:31:25,215
No. I think I'll just eat my room.
443
00:31:27,440 --> 00:31:32,000
This latch seems to be stuck. I'll get the porter to fix it right away.
444
00:31:35,359 --> 00:31:44,960
And at the end of that clip, Hilly is full on face slapped, and that takes us past the first third of the film. We finally made it to the first third of the film, Matt.
445
00:31:45,680 --> 00:31:46,400
Woo!
446
00:31:47,791 --> 00:31:50,912
It takes a little bit to get there.
447
00:31:50,912 --> 00:31:51,872
But I love the
448
00:31:52,352 --> 00:31:54,751
It was grabbing tits all day. That was fucking hilarious.
449
00:31:54,751 --> 00:31:59,912
And he actually was because it was a cow that he was milking. So yes, he was grabbing tits.
450
00:32:00,144 --> 00:32:02,784
But the th then you're a sexy fellow, aren't you?
451
00:32:03,855 --> 00:32:12,736
Yeah, Ned Beatty's a real sleaze bag in this. And I don't buy the explanation at all that the guy in the car is trying to say, even before he slaps Hilly in the face.
452
00:32:12,688 --> 00:32:22,528
Like you can tell something's up and it's only because what's his face just wants everything to be okay. George, he just wants everything to be okay. He just wants to believe that, you know, these people aren't
453
00:32:22,528 --> 00:32:23,488
Yeah, you just...
454
00:32:23,488 --> 00:32:23,968
Yeah.
455
00:32:24,448 --> 00:32:25,768
Wants everything to be just fine.
456
00:32:26,127 --> 00:32:27,807
Right.
457
00:32:27,807 --> 00:32:30,208
Why is it everyone's a good person? Yeah.
458
00:32:30,208 --> 00:32:38,367
Yeah, and he just he just kinda goes along and it's just it doesn't quite work like as a believable thing, but it's also a comedy, so I'm just gonna chill the fuck out and shut the fuck.
459
00:32:38,367 --> 00:32:45,248
Yeah, uh again, these are slapstick comedies that uh you've got to suspend your belief in things.
460
00:32:45,743 --> 00:32:52,223
Yeah, and this is also kind of an action comedy where they take the disaster film of the time and make sort of a comedic parody.
461
00:32:52,223 --> 00:33:06,528
comedies you can in action comedies you have to suspend belief even more because the then they're really gonna get wacky because or else you're just an action film. Like you know so the action has to be real slapstick or else you are just a regular a action film.
462
00:33:06,528 --> 00:33:16,672
Yeah, but when we actually get into the action, the s the humor does stop and it does get scary, especially some of the stunts. There's some really crazy cool fucking shit in this. Like very cool shit in this.
463
00:33:16,672 --> 00:33:24,231
That kinda reminds me of uh Another Gene Wilder flick the Willy Wonka, which is, you know, supposed to be a comedy but gets dark pretty quickly.
464
00:33:24,624 --> 00:33:25,344
Yeah, there's nothing.
465
00:33:25,344 --> 00:33:26,304
Yeah.
466
00:33:26,304 --> 00:33:30,624
And if they ain't dead, they're very unhappy. Very, very much.
467
00:33:31,104 --> 00:33:31,584
Ha ha.
468
00:33:31,584 --> 00:33:37,344
The d it reminds the the Ted Lasso scene where he's like, I'm sorry to tell you, Rebecca, those children are dead.
469
00:33:38,895 --> 00:33:41,728
You can call an anti-lasso anytime. I mean, why don't we move on?
470
00:33:41,935 --> 00:33:42,655
Yeah.
471
00:33:42,655 --> 00:33:43,566
All right.
472
00:33:43,728 --> 00:33:54,943
All right, so the middle third starts with George drinking many minis and trying to balance his glass on the Tower of Empties he is building, and Ned Beatty swings in for our seventh.
473
00:33:55,104 --> 00:33:56,784
What are you up to there, lover boy?
474
00:33:58,223 --> 00:33:59,183
Bob sweet.
475
00:34:03,503 --> 00:34:04,463
I'm alright.
476
00:34:04,463 --> 00:34:08,784
Better yet, what are you? A miniature alcoholic.
477
00:34:09,264 --> 00:34:14,182
Did you know that the Blanard Tunnel was the highest point on this line?
478
00:34:15,623 --> 00:34:18,983
Did you know that when we reach it I intend to be higher?
479
00:34:20,422 --> 00:34:22,342
Just don't fall off, huh?
480
00:34:22,822 --> 00:34:26,302
I've left this train once already. That's enough.
481
00:34:29,358 --> 00:34:30,798
Last night.
482
00:34:31,759 --> 00:34:33,898
Just as I was about to
483
00:34:34,880 --> 00:34:40,880
Kiss my beautiful blonde. I saw her boss hanging outside the window.
484
00:34:44,239 --> 00:34:46,639
I think that's the fall.
485
00:34:47,599 --> 00:34:49,039
It was shot in the head.
486
00:34:49,748 --> 00:34:50,358
Thank you.
487
00:34:51,318 --> 00:34:53,239
I I knew that I had been drinking.
488
00:34:53,719 --> 00:34:58,998
So I went to see the professor this morning, and I found this little weasel of a guy in his room.
489
00:35:03,576 --> 00:35:06,215
Oh I I know, I I just know. Go on, go on.
490
00:35:07,175 --> 00:35:16,295
Well, then this this huge mountain with a gold mine stuck in his gums picked me up And threw me off the train.
491
00:35:17,255 --> 00:35:19,295
Well y but you never saw the professor, huh?
492
00:35:19,295 --> 00:35:22,175
No, I saw him. I saw him this afternoon.
493
00:35:23,135 --> 00:35:24,096
In Hilly's compartment.
494
00:35:25,056 --> 00:35:28,615
See the man I saw last night was a hallucination.
495
00:35:31,280 --> 00:35:32,239
Oh.
496
00:35:32,239 --> 00:35:35,119
The the professor, you know that you you saw this afternoon.
497
00:35:35,119 --> 00:35:36,079
his picture.
498
00:35:38,960 --> 00:35:40,619
Why are you asking me all these questions?
499
00:35:41,159 --> 00:35:43,320
Did he say anything?
500
00:35:43,320 --> 00:35:46,420
Nothing, nothing. He was tired and wanted to have a scotch.
501
00:35:47,400 --> 00:35:49,079
You don't have any ice in your chase.
502
00:35:49,559 --> 00:35:50,260
Scotch.
503
00:35:52,920 --> 00:35:57,239
See you didn't have a The professor's been murdered.
504
00:35:57,719 --> 00:36:00,119
Guy you saw this air room is a fake.
505
00:36:01,079 --> 00:36:02,039
Oh no.
506
00:36:03,000 --> 00:36:05,400
Listen, I talked to the Garrilla professor last night.
507
00:36:06,840 --> 00:36:12,239
He didn't want to have anything to do with Mr. Devereaux. Besides that, he is a health nut. Doesn't touch alcohol.
508
00:36:13,199 --> 00:36:16,079
Bobby, just because you're a vitamin salesman?
509
00:36:16,079 --> 00:36:18,099
My name is Stevens. I'm a federal agent.
510
00:36:21,719 --> 00:36:24,340
We've been working on this case for two and a half years.
511
00:36:25,559 --> 00:36:26,039
Oh
512
00:36:26,039 --> 00:36:27,960
What are you tailing the professor for?
513
00:36:27,960 --> 00:36:30,840
I am not tailing the professor. I am tailing Devereaux.
514
00:36:33,719 --> 00:36:34,679
But what about it?
515
00:36:35,639 --> 00:36:39,699
Don't worry about it. They're not gonna kill her until we get to Chicago. I don't think they'll try to kill you till then.
516
00:36:43,320 --> 00:36:47,639
Never old span must have brought the professor back here after nine o'clock last night.
517
00:36:47,639 --> 00:36:48,599
How do you say that?
518
00:36:49,079 --> 00:36:51,000
Of course I left him at nine o'clock.
519
00:36:51,480 --> 00:36:55,320
And because this is the easiest access to the room, somehow you must have escaped.
520
00:36:55,800 --> 00:36:58,800
He got out to the splatter, then ran back down the tree.
521
00:37:02,760 --> 00:37:03,960
You're not going.
522
00:37:08,760 --> 00:37:11,639
Come on up and keep a lookout, will ya?
523
00:37:12,599 --> 00:37:14,039
Alright, I'll try.
524
00:37:14,039 --> 00:37:21,088
And at the end of the clip, a Ned Bay shaped stunt man climbs on top of a moving train and runs along the top of it.
525
00:37:21,632 --> 00:37:30,032
To retrieve a piece of tweed that is proof the professor was killed, and we come back inside for more dialogue, which is our
526
00:37:32,431 --> 00:37:34,422
Then I was right. I did see.
527
00:37:35,400 --> 00:37:43,320
I bet Devereux already got the body picked up and placed in Cold Stories someplace. Too bad he was a sweet old guy.
528
00:37:43,800 --> 00:37:46,199
But why did he have to kill the professor?
529
00:37:46,679 --> 00:37:50,039
He was going to be embarrassed by the findings in the professor's book.
530
00:37:50,400 --> 00:38:02,760
Two of the institute's rim branch, both bought and authenticated by Devereaux, were going to be proved forgeries. The professor had the proof in his possession. I asked him last night, what was the proof?
531
00:38:03,239 --> 00:38:06,360
He told me I was going to have to wait.
532
00:38:06,360 --> 00:38:07,320
For his lecture.
533
00:38:07,320 --> 00:38:08,760
And Deborah wasn't going to wait.
534
00:38:10,199 --> 00:38:15,000
I think the idea was to kidnap the professor, then kill him.
535
00:38:15,480 --> 00:38:22,800
And then, you know, substitute some phony look-alike who would bust the lecture and discredit the book. We've got to find the proof.
536
00:38:23,760 --> 00:38:32,400
They have the proof. They have it. That's what Whiney and everyone were looking for this morning, the Rembrandt letters. They said that they found them in the professor's trunk.
537
00:38:32,400 --> 00:38:43,559
They're lying. That's the first place they would have looked before they started turning his room upside down. No. The professor hid them someplace, somewhere simple. As a precaution, we found out that Devereaux was on the track.
538
00:38:44,039 --> 00:38:46,920
My god, I know where they are! Come on! Come on!
539
00:38:48,360 --> 00:38:49,800
The Rembrandt letters.
540
00:38:50,280 --> 00:38:55,559
Holy Toledo, I think you found it. This is the genuine article, penned by the old boy himself, huh?
541
00:39:00,648 --> 00:39:09,527
My guess is that there's a fact, there's some kind of a date in all this. It proves it charges uh Professor Mason's book. Push the button for the porter, will you? I want to get the conductor to radio ahead to the next town.
542
00:39:10,487 --> 00:39:13,847
It's difficult to believe that a man was killed over those.
543
00:39:13,847 --> 00:39:25,248
This is the tip of an iceberg. You know that plane crash in Cologne, Germany last year? That was a Deferro special. A hundred people got killed in that one. It was just to cover up his involvement in the Metropolitan Gallery scandal.
544
00:39:26,208 --> 00:39:32,992
We knew he was responsible. We couldn't pin it on him. These letters are gonna blow his multimillion dollar operation in art sky-high.
545
00:39:32,992 --> 00:39:36,831
That's why she was so distant. They must have had her in a corner.
546
00:39:36,831 --> 00:39:41,512
I want you to remember that your neck is on the line too. You already told him you saw the real professor shot.
547
00:39:41,695 --> 00:39:43,856
Yeah, I did. So what do I do now?
548
00:39:44,335 --> 00:39:48,175
Be responsible for Hilly. Get her off the train into safety. I'm gonna take care of Mr. Devereaux.
549
00:39:48,175 --> 00:39:49,135
Here comes the tongue.
550
00:39:49,135 --> 00:39:52,016
We'll make our move when the train gets to Dodge City tonight.
551
00:39:52,976 --> 00:39:56,496
It's appropriate, huh? Gun smoke at the OK Corral?
552
00:40:01,800 --> 00:40:03,000
Спасибо.
553
00:40:08,519 --> 00:40:11,880
Get my gun, take my gun, take my gun, go on.
554
00:40:11,880 --> 00:40:12,360
Thank you.
555
00:40:12,360 --> 00:40:14,280
Get the girl off the train, okay?
556
00:40:16,679 --> 00:40:19,128
You know I got a funny feeling this bullet was meant for you?
557
00:40:21,255 --> 00:40:23,463
That man's dead. Holy.
558
00:40:23,463 --> 00:40:24,503
Mola, you shot him!
559
00:40:24,648 --> 00:40:27,768
I d no. You you No, wait a minute.
560
00:40:27,768 --> 00:40:30,168
It's been shot! It's been shot!
561
00:40:33,527 --> 00:40:34,487
I didn't-
562
00:40:36,887 --> 00:40:37,847
Thank you.
563
00:40:37,847 --> 00:40:38,807
Hi.
564
00:40:38,807 --> 00:40:39,518
Ευχαριστώ.
565
00:40:41,088 --> 00:40:54,157
With that, a chase ensues and George is now on the hook for a murder he did not commit and is running for his life from a Jaws-looking Richard Gill. George barricades himself in what looks like a sort of freight car area.
566
00:40:54,255 --> 00:41:08,992
And Jaws starts to break in as George loses his gun while trying to open an outer door, only to grab a harpoon gun or something and hide, just as Jaws comes in looking for him. We get more of a man running on top of a train and
567
00:41:08,976 --> 00:41:22,143
As Jaws looks for George, and George sneaks his way up with a harpoon gun, gets the drop on Jaws, and nails him in the chest before tossing the gun off of the train in disgust for having to have had to kill someone.
568
00:41:22,159 --> 00:41:29,632
George is clipped by a surprise marker sign and knocked off of the train in what looks like the Sierra Mountains.
569
00:41:29,615 --> 00:41:39,376
And has to walk his way into civilization again and finally get a ride into town after trying to hitchhike with like fifty fucking people. He finds a sheriff.
570
00:41:39,407 --> 00:41:48,288
He gets inside and is immediately startled by the sounds of a gunfight on the TV. He's a bit frazzled after the fight and someone trying to kill him multiple times.
571
00:41:48,288 --> 00:41:51,208
Yeah, which is understandable.
572
00:41:51,615 --> 00:41:55,559
And he tries to get to the sheriff's attention and that starts our nightclip.
573
00:42:04,679 --> 00:42:06,119
Now what can I do for you?
574
00:42:07,559 --> 00:42:08,039
All right.
575
00:42:08,519 --> 00:42:14,311
A murder. A man's been shot on the silver streak, and there's a girl who's in great danger. We have to stop the train.
576
00:42:14,311 --> 00:42:16,231
Now wait a second. You say a man's been shot?
577
00:42:16,231 --> 00:42:16,711
Yes.
578
00:42:16,711 --> 00:42:25,512
Jump on Gemini. We've never had a murder before. Uh, sit down. Have a cup of coffee. Uh, help yourself. Uh, now uh, let's get back.
579
00:42:25,512 --> 00:42:27,911
감사합니다.
580
00:42:27,911 --> 00:42:29,351
Well, what did you say your name was?
581
00:42:29,351 --> 00:42:32,342
Caldwell. George Caldwell. I'm from Los Angeles.
582
00:42:33,815 --> 00:42:35,016
Yeah.
583
00:42:35,016 --> 00:42:35,976
Okay.
584
00:42:35,976 --> 00:42:36,695
Yeah.
585
00:42:37,896 --> 00:42:39,335
Actually there were two.
586
00:42:39,815 --> 00:42:40,295
Okay.
587
00:42:40,295 --> 00:42:43,896
Yes. The first was Bob Sweet. He was a federal undercover agent.
588
00:42:45,704 --> 00:42:53,864
Yes. And the second was a man by the name of Reese. I shot him. You No, because you thought sweet was me.
589
00:42:53,864 --> 00:42:55,784
Reese shot sweeten, you shot Reese, right?
590
00:42:55,784 --> 00:42:56,884
With a spear gun.
591
00:42:57,992 --> 00:43:04,501
The what? You see, I took Sweet's gun but I dropped it, so I had to use a spear gun. Uh don't you can't we call someone?
592
00:43:04,791 --> 00:43:07,400
W wait a second. You say you shot Reese with a spear? Yes.
593
00:43:07,447 --> 00:43:08,648
He was going to shoot me.
594
00:43:08,648 --> 00:43:09,608
With a spear?
595
00:43:09,608 --> 00:43:12,007
Oh, with a bullet. He shot the professor. Who shot the professor?
596
00:43:12,007 --> 00:43:15,847
The professor. Reese. Reese shot sweet. And Okay.
597
00:43:15,847 --> 00:43:22,152
Oh, th I'm sorry, I forgot. Uh the professor was shot last night. Uh can't we just do all of this later?
598
00:43:22,152 --> 00:43:23,112
Was there anyone else?
599
00:43:23,112 --> 00:43:24,072
Anyone else what?
600
00:43:24,072 --> 00:43:25,992
A shot No no
601
00:43:25,992 --> 00:43:36,248
But there will be soon if we don't stop the train. Please, just pick up the phone and call your superiors. Tell them I have the Rembrandt letters. That's why the professor was shot.
602
00:43:36,248 --> 00:43:38,168
See with the feds? Oh, this guy Rembrandt.
603
00:43:38,168 --> 00:43:39,128
Rembrandt is dead.
604
00:43:39,128 --> 00:43:46,898
Dead. Dead, that makes four. Listen, fella, you sure you're not making this up as you go along? I'm an officer of the law, and I got a lot better things to do than listen to that kind of funny.
605
00:43:47,880 --> 00:43:53,880
That's my hotline. Now you take the time to get your facts straight, because when I come back, I want your answers clear.
606
00:43:55,559 --> 00:43:57,960
And you can start with who shot Ribra.
607
00:44:00,599 --> 00:44:01,079
Thank you.
608
00:44:01,079 --> 00:44:03,219
Yeah, this is Chauncey. Noose.
609
00:44:08,039 --> 00:44:17,400
Sittin' right here in my office. That's right. Came in here spouting some bull about shooting some people on the train, wanted to confess. I knew he was a loony right off. Oh yeah.
610
00:44:17,911 --> 00:44:19,112
Don't you worry, cried.
611
00:44:19,112 --> 00:44:20,072
I've handled no disp-
612
00:44:22,472 --> 00:44:26,791
Sheriff, I'm sorry. I guess I was a little rattled before. It must have sounded crazy to you.
613
00:44:26,791 --> 00:44:32,360
Oh, that's perfectly all right, Mr. Caldwell. Uh that is what you said your name was, uh didn't you? George Caldwell?
614
00:44:32,360 --> 00:44:39,784
Yeah. Um I really think that we ought to get on the phone to Washington. I'm sure if they heard what I have to say, they would do something about stopping the train.
615
00:44:39,784 --> 00:44:45,063
Oh yeah. Them boys in Washington, they're pretty smart, all right. You ever watch them on TV? Bam bam.
616
00:44:45,063 --> 00:44:54,632
Sheriff, listen to me. They know all about Swede and Devereaux. I figured that the Silver Streak should be in Kansas in an hour. We could stop the train at Scott City or maybe Dodge.
617
00:44:54,632 --> 00:44:55,592
All right, mister
618
00:44:55,592 --> 00:44:56,072
Just kidding.
619
00:45:00,135 --> 00:45:08,295
Don't shoot, you stupid ignorant son of a bitch, dumb bastard. Jesus Christ, I've met some dumb bastards in my time, but you outdo them all.
620
00:45:08,295 --> 00:45:09,175
Get over there!
621
00:45:09,527 --> 00:45:16,007
What the hell do you think I'm doing? I come here to help a girl who may be killed at any minute. You're playing cops and robbers like you're on television.
622
00:45:16,007 --> 00:45:18,407
There ain't no way you're ever gonna get away with this. Get away.
623
00:45:18,407 --> 00:45:19,847
Pick up the phone.
624
00:45:20,760 --> 00:45:21,480
We know who you are.
625
00:45:21,480 --> 00:45:22,440
What are you talking?
626
00:45:22,440 --> 00:45:25,800
That was the county sheriff on the hotline, they're coming to get you you ain't got a chance.
627
00:45:25,800 --> 00:45:27,239
Get me for what?
628
00:45:27,239 --> 00:45:29,159
Killing a vitamin salesman on a
629
00:45:29,159 --> 00:45:33,911
He was no vitamin salesman. I told you he was a federal agent. They should know that.
630
00:45:33,911 --> 00:45:40,152
Look if you'll if you'll just put down that gun and come along quietly, you're outnumbered. There ain't no way you're ever gonna escape.
631
00:45:40,152 --> 00:45:41,351
What is that?
632
00:45:41,831 --> 00:45:43,271
That's my deputy.
633
00:45:43,751 --> 00:45:44,501
Get out.
634
00:45:51,239 --> 00:45:52,199
Keep your hands down.
635
00:45:55,800 --> 00:45:56,760
He's got your
636
00:45:56,760 --> 00:45:59,639
Gun. Get your hands up. Get against the wall. Keep your hands up.
637
00:46:01,559 --> 00:46:02,760
Get back, get back!
638
00:46:03,239 --> 00:46:04,440
Keep those hands up!
639
00:46:04,440 --> 00:46:05,880
And go to rest until they hunt you down.
640
00:46:05,880 --> 00:46:08,019
Keep your hands up. Keep them up!
641
00:46:09,239 --> 00:46:10,199
Uncle Oliver?
642
00:46:10,679 --> 00:46:11,639
He's taking your call.
643
00:46:15,480 --> 00:46:16,920
Uncle Oliver?
644
00:46:17,400 --> 00:46:18,360
Whoa!
645
00:46:19,079 --> 00:46:21,719
One more word out of you, I gonna smash your mouth.
646
00:46:24,360 --> 00:46:27,719
JJ, I got bad news for you.
647
00:46:28,199 --> 00:46:29,559
Uh Caldwell's escape.
648
00:46:30,615 --> 00:46:37,447
Yeah, let's kn uh look, let's not go into that now. He's headed down three fifty, and we can stop him before he crosses state line. Right.
649
00:46:38,407 --> 00:46:47,668
The bit with trying to get to the gun is some seriously funny shit in that clip. That was really funny how they were doing that little dance. Yeah.
650
00:46:47,768 --> 00:46:56,168
And he thinks the cops just trying to help him'cause again he lives in that little bubble world where he just like thinks everything's gonna be okay and that he can trust people and it just doesn't work out.
651
00:46:56,920 --> 00:46:57,608
Ha ha
652
00:46:57,784 --> 00:47:12,791
Well, they cut from the end of the clip there to George driving like a man possessed to get to someone who will listen to him or to catch up with the train when he is shocked to find someone in the back of the car, which has some dialogue that you know goddamn well is going to be our Yeah.
653
00:47:12,791 --> 00:47:14,472
Stupid bastard.
654
00:47:19,320 --> 00:47:20,039
Who are you?
655
00:47:20,039 --> 00:47:20,519
Cool.
656
00:47:20,519 --> 00:47:25,800
I'm a thief, man. Take it easy. I ain't gonna freak you out no more. How about hand me them keys up there? I'd like to get these cops off.
657
00:47:25,800 --> 00:47:26,389
Oh sorry.
658
00:47:28,056 --> 00:47:30,920
It's real nice the way you handled yourself back there with Oliver. I was listening.
659
00:47:31,800 --> 00:47:33,000
What do you want you for anyway, man?
660
00:47:33,784 --> 00:47:36,423
Drop me off anywhere along in here, okay? I don't mess with the big
661
00:47:36,423 --> 00:47:48,403
I'm not stopping anywhere. Do you know the roads around here? Yeah. Well maybe we could make a deal. I'm not a murderer. I'm trying to prevent one. But in about a minute we're gonna be surrounded by cops. If you can get us out of it, you'd be doing both of us a favor. What do you think?
662
00:47:49,032 --> 00:47:51,760
Better make a right up here and then a sharp left. I'm coming over.
663
00:47:57,519 --> 00:48:00,880
Jesus Christ, man! That's how you murdered your victims? Put them in a car and bounced them into-
664
00:48:00,880 --> 00:48:01,360
That's
665
00:48:01,360 --> 00:48:02,079
Sorry.
666
00:48:04,288 --> 00:48:06,543
Cruise one thing though. You don't do this for no living.
667
00:48:08,143 --> 00:48:08,414
All right.
668
00:48:08,800 --> 00:48:15,472
Just take it easy. I'm gonna take over in a minute. Don't make no more sudden moves, okay? I'm gonna check with headquarters and find out the game plan for tonight.
669
00:48:15,952 --> 00:48:21,231
is going to get back on that train. That means he has to cross into Kansas on one twenty, one hundred sixteen, or thirty.
670
00:48:21,231 --> 00:48:21,711
Three fifty.
671
00:48:21,711 --> 00:48:29,679
Now, I figure if we put stakeouts on all of those roads, we'll get that feller. The first should be at the junction uh Tobman's Road on 160.
672
00:48:30,639 --> 00:48:31,840
What are you slowing down for?
673
00:48:32,800 --> 00:48:36,639
So there's a truck up ahead. We demand. Let's turn on the side.
674
00:48:44,079 --> 00:48:45,760
Would you like to drive for a while?
675
00:48:46,239 --> 00:48:49,599
Car 36. Report your position. Do you read me?
676
00:48:49,599 --> 00:48:54,159
Car 36, Chauncey, we're moving in for the roadblock at the intersection of Tobins Road.
677
00:48:54,639 --> 00:48:55,710
And one sixteen.
678
00:48:56,335 --> 00:49:00,896
That's fine, fellas. Car forty five's already there. We're going in for a double block on all points.
679
00:49:01,376 --> 00:49:02,815
Yo double roadline, huh?
680
00:49:03,295 --> 00:49:06,655
That's all I wanted to know about it Fasten yourself in, partner
681
00:49:06,655 --> 00:49:07,096
Thank you.
682
00:49:08,016 --> 00:49:09,695
You ain't got nothing to worry about.
683
00:49:10,175 --> 00:49:12,576
I got the nerve and I got the touch.
684
00:49:13,056 --> 00:49:14,016
Better pull it tight.
685
00:49:14,496 --> 00:49:17,856
Real tight. Used to do this all the time back home in Texas.
686
00:49:17,856 --> 00:49:18,815
Do what?
687
00:49:21,215 --> 00:49:23,976
I hear something come, Chauncey, but I can't see anything yet.
688
00:49:23,976 --> 00:49:26,856
That's fine boys. We got them boxed in now.
689
00:49:26,856 --> 00:49:28,536
Aren't you gonna slow down?
690
00:49:28,536 --> 00:49:29,016
It's not out.
691
00:49:29,016 --> 00:49:30,456
Just open your eyes, man.
692
00:49:30,936 --> 00:49:32,376
make a criminal out of you yet.
693
00:49:33,815 --> 00:49:34,936
वालो पाचा!
694
00:49:39,519 --> 00:49:40,480
Oh car thirty six
695
00:49:40,480 --> 00:49:42,400
What the hell happened to you guys?
696
00:49:42,400 --> 00:49:44,800
There's a growing team I'll do!
697
00:49:45,280 --> 00:49:46,719
You wanna know what happened?
698
00:49:46,719 --> 00:49:47,199
What?
699
00:49:47,199 --> 00:49:48,639
Just whooped your ass!
700
00:49:50,079 --> 00:49:51,775
Ha ha ha!
701
00:49:51,775 --> 00:49:57,056
That break through the fucking barricade of the fucking tits. I love that in this film. I totally do. Yeah.
702
00:49:58,704 --> 00:50:10,623
They cut from this to the train as Hilly is being interrogated about George, and then they cut to George snooping around a car a lot at night before confronting Grover, the thief.
703
00:50:10,800 --> 00:50:21,599
looking to steal the fanciest car on the fucking lot. George takes off and the owner pulls a gun on Grover, dropping an N bomb as he does it, therefore not clip. George does
704
00:50:21,599 --> 00:50:22,510
Yeah.
705
00:50:22,735 --> 00:50:36,543
George does a flying body drop tackle out of nowhere, which was incredible. Great fucking stunt. Knocks the old man down, takes the shotgun out of his hand, and then the pair take off in the car, which leads to more dialogue and are
706
00:50:36,704 --> 00:50:37,423
Eleven.
707
00:50:37,423 --> 00:50:40,304
Man, that was beautiful. Ain't nobody gonna mess with you.
708
00:50:40,304 --> 00:50:41,264
Oh yeah.
709
00:50:41,264 --> 00:50:42,224
Wait a minute.
710
00:50:42,224 --> 00:50:43,664
Man, you're pretty bad old dude.
711
00:50:44,623 --> 00:50:47,023
All I want to do is get to Kansas City by the morning.
712
00:50:47,023 --> 00:50:52,664
Don't worry about that. With this honey, we're gonna be in Kansas City. We just get some sleep, man. So we're on our way to Kansas.
713
00:50:52,664 --> 00:50:56,023
This leads into a very long driving sequence.
714
00:50:56,503 --> 00:50:58,423
After the end of the clip there.
715
00:50:58,903 --> 00:50:59,864
They're going through a lot of.
716
00:51:00,711 --> 00:51:05,751
Yeah, it's through a lot of rolling plains of Kansas, but they are in a Jaguar, which is pretty fucking sweet.
717
00:51:06,231 --> 00:51:14,072
And at some point they kind of cross for sure. Yeah. At some point when they're cross dissolving, we see that George is now driving the car and Grover is finally sleeping.
718
00:51:14,056 --> 00:51:27,235
He wakes up with a smile and they talk about Hilly and how love affects them. They then cut from this to a train station and I'm really sorry about all this. I'm gonna try and cut out all of the negative stuff that I possibly can, but this is our
719
00:51:27,367 --> 00:51:28,056
Well, clear.
720
00:51:28,311 --> 00:51:34,311
passenger hall please report to the information desk in the north concourse.
721
00:51:34,791 --> 00:51:36,711
We've got ten minutes. I'll get the tickets. Just wait.
722
00:51:36,711 --> 00:51:37,192
Right here.
723
00:51:37,672 --> 00:51:39,592
Go get the tickets and it's goodbye, George.
724
00:51:39,592 --> 00:51:41,032
What are you talking about then?
725
00:51:41,512 --> 00:51:43,181
That's my driver's license picture.
726
00:51:43,791 --> 00:51:45,231
I hate that picture.
727
00:51:45,231 --> 00:51:47,632
Yeah, why don't you just shuffle right over there and tell him about it?
728
00:51:48,592 --> 00:51:49,552
Are they the police?
729
00:51:49,552 --> 00:51:50,512
No, they're from Travelers A.
730
00:51:50,512 --> 00:51:51,952
But how are we gonna get on the train?
731
00:51:51,952 --> 00:51:52,601
That's a good question.
732
00:51:53,327 --> 00:51:55,007
I still got the gun. Maybe I could start a diversion.
733
00:51:55,007 --> 00:51:56,447
Yeah, blow your brains up.
734
00:51:56,927 --> 00:51:58,847
Wait, I got an idea.
735
00:51:59,327 --> 00:52:00,288
You come with me.
736
00:52:01,248 --> 00:52:02,208
How much you want for that reading?
737
00:52:02,208 --> 00:52:02,688
Thank you.
738
00:52:02,688 --> 00:52:03,648
Three downs.
739
00:52:03,648 --> 00:52:05,088
We're taking. Pay the man.
740
00:52:05,088 --> 00:52:06,527
Watch pay to man.
741
00:52:06,527 --> 00:52:10,487
It's a bad hat you got on. Give me$5 for it. It's yours. Thank you. Pay demand.
742
00:52:10,967 --> 00:52:11,447
What?
743
00:52:11,447 --> 00:52:12,407
Be the man!
744
00:52:12,887 --> 00:52:14,327
And another five for the shoe bottle.
745
00:52:15,768 --> 00:52:17,208
Don't argue, just pay to me.
746
00:52:18,168 --> 00:52:20,088
$40. Thank you very much.
747
00:52:20,088 --> 00:52:23,197
Thank you. Uh see anything else you want? Just make me a little bit.
748
00:52:23,807 --> 00:52:24,768
Well thank you very much.
749
00:52:25,248 --> 00:52:26,208
How about a bridge?
750
00:52:27,648 --> 00:52:28,608
And win them all.
751
00:52:29,088 --> 00:52:32,527
That is the stupidest idea I have ever heard.
752
00:52:32,623 --> 00:52:33,824
You want to save that barrel right?
753
00:52:34,784 --> 00:52:36,704
Then it's this or with date.
754
00:52:38,623 --> 00:52:40,543
I can't pass for black.
755
00:52:40,543 --> 00:52:46,954
Who you telling? I didn't say I was gonna make you black. I said I was gonna get you on the train. Now we got to make them cops think you're black.
756
00:52:47,152 --> 00:52:48,831
It'll never work. Never.
757
00:52:48,831 --> 00:52:50,271
What are you afraid it won't come up?
758
00:52:50,751 --> 00:52:53,152
That's a good joke. That's humorous.
759
00:52:53,152 --> 00:52:53,632
Like that.
760
00:52:54,112 --> 00:52:55,072
May I speak?
761
00:52:55,072 --> 00:52:55,552
Thank you.
762
00:52:55,552 --> 00:52:56,512
This is crazy.
763
00:52:57,231 --> 00:52:58,431
It'll never work!
764
00:52:58,431 --> 00:52:59,391
Don't you understand?
765
00:52:59,391 --> 00:53:05,280
Are you kidding? Look at that. Al Jolson made a million bucks looking like that. Now here, you try.
766
00:53:05,760 --> 00:53:08,639
Yeah, don't worry about your eyes, cause you're gonna be wearing these.
767
00:53:09,119 --> 00:53:10,079
Go.
768
00:53:10,559 --> 00:53:12,480
Yeah, that looks good. Get on top of here.
769
00:53:13,440 --> 00:53:14,400
Oh my check.
770
00:53:14,880 --> 00:53:18,480
And then you slide this beanie on it. There you go. All right, ace seduce.
771
00:53:19,007 --> 00:53:25,007
That's bad, man. You're looking good. Now here, take this radio. When you step out of here, you gotta step out of here like King Shit, right?
772
00:53:25,967 --> 00:53:29,327
I put that radio to your ear. That's gonna help cover your face, right? And just move.
773
00:53:29,920 --> 00:53:35,440
Move your body with the rhythm of the music. That's all you gotta remember, okay? Let me see you try. Step to the music.
774
00:53:38,800 --> 00:53:39,280
Yeah.
775
00:53:39,280 --> 00:53:40,239
Stop.
776
00:53:41,824 --> 00:53:50,704
Such a tight ass man. How you gonna walk out of here with a tan face in that white book? Just get into the music. Come on, George. Come on, loosen up. Listen to the beat. Let your feet move.
777
00:53:51,536 --> 00:53:53,695
Now do it. Can't you feel it? The temple's right.
778
00:53:53,695 --> 00:53:55,135
Right here, right in there.
779
00:53:55,135 --> 00:53:58,016
That's all you gotta do. Yeah, now try it. Don't you feel?
780
00:54:00,416 --> 00:54:02,335
work George needs a lot of work. You know that.
781
00:54:02,335 --> 00:54:03,295
Well you practice.
782
00:54:03,775 --> 00:54:07,255
Man, you gotta practice, but let it be loose. Listen to the music power.
783
00:54:07,255 --> 00:54:08,215
Call it a beat.
784
00:54:08,215 --> 00:54:09,655
Feel it coming up?
785
00:54:09,655 --> 00:54:10,615
Feel it?
786
00:54:12,536 --> 00:54:13,016
Yeah.
787
00:54:13,976 --> 00:54:14,456
Thank you.
788
00:54:14,456 --> 00:54:16,856
I'm gonna get the chicken. Okay, I'll be back.
789
00:54:18,159 --> 00:54:19,119
God.
790
00:54:19,599 --> 00:54:21,760
Come on, man. Let's enjoy it.
791
00:54:23,199 --> 00:54:23,679
Shake it.
792
00:54:23,679 --> 00:54:24,860
But don't break.
793
00:54:25,840 --> 00:54:26,559
Hey man.
794
00:54:29,920 --> 00:54:31,119
Yeah!
795
00:54:31,119 --> 00:54:32,559
I feel like a turnaround midnight.
796
00:54:32,559 --> 00:54:33,519
Иди!
797
00:54:33,519 --> 00:54:34,000
Hello.
798
00:54:34,480 --> 00:54:39,280
Get down! Get down! Feeling good! Feeling fine! Feeling real!
799
00:54:46,960 --> 00:54:50,559
It's Daryl, I'm the king, number one baby!
800
00:54:54,880 --> 00:54:55,579
Uh
801
00:54:58,719 --> 00:54:59,679
C'est le film.
802
00:55:11,679 --> 00:55:13,599
I don't think we'll make it past the cops.
803
00:55:13,599 --> 00:55:16,000
I'm gonna get past the cops. I just hope we don't see no Muslims.
804
00:55:20,800 --> 00:55:24,380
Who you looking for? White guy. Well, if I see any, I'll let you know.
805
00:55:25,360 --> 00:55:33,280
Your attention, please. The Amro train, the Silver Street, departing for Chicago is now
806
00:55:33,280 --> 00:55:34,719
This is Chicago time.
807
00:55:35,199 --> 00:55:36,159
First clip.
808
00:55:36,639 --> 00:55:39,260
No visitors committed beyond the loading page.
809
00:55:45,039 --> 00:55:49,119
Will Mr. Mitchell please report to the Android office of the
810
00:55:53,199 --> 00:55:54,159
She's gone.
811
00:55:54,159 --> 00:55:55,119
Sure that's her compartment.
812
00:55:55,119 --> 00:55:55,599
Продолжение следует...
813
00:55:55,599 --> 00:55:58,480
Yes, of course. Hey, wait a minute.
814
00:55:58,960 --> 00:56:01,360
Where are my clothes? All my clothes are gone.
815
00:56:01,360 --> 00:56:02,320
This is your compartment?
816
00:56:02,320 --> 00:56:09,407
Of course I'm sure. The police must have taken everything when they found Sweet's body. We've got to see if Hilly's still on the train.
817
00:56:10,847 --> 00:56:11,807
How are we gonna do that?
818
00:56:11,807 --> 00:56:12,288
Yeah.
819
00:56:13,360 --> 00:56:19,840
Go down to the phony professor's room. It's four cars back, room C. If he's there, ask him what happened to his secretary.
820
00:56:19,840 --> 00:56:21,760
Give me the gun. Now give me your wallet.
821
00:56:22,239 --> 00:56:23,900
What thing? Gotta get a disguise.
822
00:56:24,159 --> 00:56:25,360
I'll get a porter.
823
00:56:26,320 --> 00:56:28,719
You know, these disguises are getting expensive.
824
00:56:28,719 --> 00:56:30,639
Cry and cost. Where is it at?
825
00:56:31,119 --> 00:56:33,039
Four cars back, room C. Stay up.
826
00:56:33,519 --> 00:56:34,480
I'm moving this guy.
827
00:56:34,480 --> 00:56:35,130
Good job.
828
00:56:36,143 --> 00:56:37,583
We do not have to talk about that.
829
00:56:37,583 --> 00:56:41,903
Yeah, I dealt with the black face by just putting it all in a clip and we're just gonna move on.
830
00:56:43,344 --> 00:56:47,543
We're just everyone everyone good? Everyone good? Alright, we're fine. Everyone's fine.
831
00:56:47,807 --> 00:56:58,831
The end of that clip takes us over the end of the middle third of the movie as we see Gene Wilder miraculously wash shoe polish off of his skin. And holy shit all of that was uncomfortable.
832
00:56:59,583 --> 00:57:03,679
Yeah, yeah, that's not great. Not great.
833
00:57:03,679 --> 00:57:03,800
All right.
834
00:57:04,192 --> 00:57:06,831
We're looking at lenses of a different time.
835
00:57:07,039 --> 00:57:19,280
The funniest joke in that is when the shoe shine guy that they bought all the stuff from comes in the bathroom and sees him trying to pretend to be black and he automatically says, Boy, you must be in a lot of trouble to him. Like you like
836
00:57:21,503 --> 00:57:30,864
Right. It just is like I think it's something like s oh man you must be or something along those lines. I can't remember what it was, but he's just like, Oh boy, you must be in a lot of trouble. Something like that, right?
837
00:57:31,344 --> 00:57:32,443
Yeah, something like that.
838
00:57:32,672 --> 00:57:38,672
That's a really funny joke because he understands that that's the only reason that anyone would ever do something that dumb.
839
00:57:38,672 --> 00:57:40,731
Yeah, no one should ever be doing that.
840
00:57:41,023 --> 00:57:53,199
Yeah. The other line that's really fucking funny that I think Richard Pyre may have improvised is let's hope the the nation of or let's hope the Muslims don't aren't here or something like that is in watch out for the nation of Islam'cause he will die.
841
00:57:55,599 --> 00:57:57,519
Which is not inaccurate.
842
00:57:57,519 --> 00:57:58,360
Not good.
843
00:57:58,463 --> 00:58:05,903
Yeah, that is what they were what they're doing is definitely something that would outrage people. So yeah.
844
00:58:05,903 --> 00:58:07,824
Just a little.
845
00:58:07,824 --> 00:58:22,735
We can be done if we want. We can move on to the final act. Alright, so the final act starts with Gene still drying off his face and he notices a tape machine and starts up the music for some reason. Hilly comes in and George is knocked out as soon as he sees her. They cut to him waking up
846
00:58:22,864 --> 00:58:24,543
And that is our thirteenth.
847
00:58:24,543 --> 00:58:25,503
Are you alright?
848
00:58:25,503 --> 00:58:29,184
That's what I was gonna ask you. I'm sorry about your head.
849
00:58:29,679 --> 00:58:32,320
gone back to the compartment if I thought that you were gonna
850
00:58:32,320 --> 00:58:33,760
The Rembrandt letters.
851
00:58:35,920 --> 00:58:36,639
Okay.
852
00:58:36,639 --> 00:58:38,079
I guess I blew it.
853
00:58:38,079 --> 00:58:39,039
Poor George.
854
00:58:40,239 --> 00:58:47,920
I tried not to get you involved, but they came to me yesterday and they told me that they'd killed the professor and that unless I cooperated, they'd kill me too.
855
00:58:49,119 --> 00:58:50,300
I'd go along with some.
856
00:58:52,239 --> 00:58:56,320
I was I was really happy when you did, but I was afraid I'd never see you again.
857
00:58:56,800 --> 00:58:58,239
Do I jump so?
858
00:59:01,840 --> 00:59:03,039
I was scared you wouldn't be here.
859
00:59:04,000 --> 00:59:05,179
I missed you, Hilding.
860
00:59:13,360 --> 00:59:14,320
Huh?
861
00:59:14,800 --> 00:59:16,239
You've got Shopa.
862
00:59:16,719 --> 00:59:17,679
Mind your ear.
863
00:59:19,119 --> 00:59:22,239
I'll explain that to you later. Where are you?
864
00:59:22,239 --> 00:59:28,219
Just passing the Illinois River Canal. Well, how are you? I hope I didn't slug you too hard.
865
00:59:28,760 --> 00:59:29,719
Devereaux.
866
00:59:30,440 --> 00:59:31,159
Perfect.
867
00:59:31,159 --> 00:59:36,420
You want to see him and he wants to see you. Ladies first.
868
00:59:39,559 --> 00:59:40,739
Um
869
00:59:43,639 --> 00:59:44,360
Thank you.
870
00:59:44,360 --> 00:59:53,719
Uh please sit down, make yourself comfortable. Miss Burns, how are you? Uh bring us some fresh coffee, toast and uh marmalade for our guests, would you?
871
00:59:56,599 --> 01:00:01,000
I've just been looking over this correspondence you brought me and uh
872
01:00:01,063 --> 01:00:13,623
It's fascinating. The professor was right. It's a remarkable find. I'm almost tempted to destroy it, but then on the other hand, I've always had a soft spot for things of beauty, particularly when they were genuine.
873
01:00:13,768 --> 01:00:20,728
I don't think they propose any further threat to you.
874
01:00:21,192 --> 01:00:23,831
I hope you're not too disappointed if this doesn't work.
875
01:00:23,831 --> 01:00:33,431
No, but on the contrary, I think it will. This has been a very difficult project, and I have made an error or two. One of them was bringing that man Reese out to here. What happened to him, by the way?
876
01:00:33,431 --> 01:00:34,822
I shot him.
877
01:00:34,983 --> 01:00:37,623
Good for you. You probably deserved it.
878
01:00:37,623 --> 01:00:40,023
You did have him kill the professor, didn't you?
879
01:00:40,023 --> 01:00:53,112
Oh no. Oh no. On the contrary. He did that on his own. An unfortunate mistake. I knew we couldn't kill the professor until we had the Rembrandt letters. So I had to set up a scenario whereby.
880
01:00:53,224 --> 01:01:04,503
The uh professor was kidnapped and an imposter impersonated him in order to discredit him. Uh we would have killed him anyway, but his escape attempt the other night upset the entire scheme.
881
01:01:06,583 --> 01:01:08,983
Excuse me sir. It's all confirmed.
882
01:01:08,983 --> 01:01:09,463
Yeah.
883
01:01:09,463 --> 01:01:10,914
We'll be waiting at Rockdale.
884
01:01:11,847 --> 01:01:24,088
Oh, uh, Mr. Caldwell, you do remember Johnson, don't you? He played the part of the professor and would have done the same thing at Chicago with the help of Miss Burns had it been necessary. How long before we arrive at Rockdale?
885
01:01:24,568 --> 01:01:25,527
An hour and a half, sir.
886
01:01:25,527 --> 01:01:29,623
Thank you, Jones. Now all that remains is to clear up a couple of points.
887
01:01:30,583 --> 01:01:38,072
Meaning the two of you. So I've arranged a new scenario wherein you are responsible for the murder of the professor.
888
01:01:38,072 --> 01:01:39,992
Why would I kill the professor?
889
01:01:39,992 --> 01:01:45,222
But to get the Rembrandt letters, that he found out you had to shoot him because he tried to blackmail you.
890
01:01:45,592 --> 01:01:59,960
Which brings us more or less up to date. Except that in about forty-five minutes from now, the professor's trusty secretary is going to quarrel with her partner lover and shoot him. And he dies.
891
01:02:00,199 --> 01:02:02,840
But not before shooting her.
892
01:02:04,760 --> 01:02:10,039
Enough of this talk of plots and scenarios. Join me in a cup of coffee, would you?
893
01:02:12,199 --> 01:02:13,090
Thanks.
894
01:02:13,384 --> 01:02:16,023
The professor's book is still gonna be published.
895
01:02:16,503 --> 01:02:22,264
Yes, indeed, my dear. But without the letters, I'm afraid it will be regarded as the jottings of a revisionist.
896
01:02:22,264 --> 01:02:22,563
Bye.
897
01:02:22,632 --> 01:02:30,552
An X crank, as a matter of fact. The silver streak does have its drawbacks, but please try the marmalade. They do provide an excellent cuisine. Oh!
898
01:02:30,552 --> 01:02:34,371
Well thank you, sir. I tell the boys in the kitchen we aims to please. Coffee, missed?
899
01:02:34,503 --> 01:02:35,224
No thanks.
900
01:02:37,143 --> 01:02:37,623
Good.
901
01:02:37,623 --> 01:02:39,063
That's your lady man.
902
01:02:39,543 --> 01:02:40,503
She's something else.
903
01:02:40,983 --> 01:02:42,423
Stand up, mama. Let me get a look at it.
904
01:02:43,384 --> 01:02:45,304
Mm-mm. Have mercy.
905
01:02:45,304 --> 01:02:47,143
Stuart, you may go. Thank you very much.
906
01:02:47,367 --> 01:02:49,047
Can I help you serve just with a little more coffee?
907
01:02:49,047 --> 01:02:50,967
No, thank you. I appreciate my support.
908
01:02:52,407 --> 01:02:53,367
Продолжение следует...
909
01:02:59,639 --> 01:03:01,320
You don't know me well enough to call me no n-
910
01:03:02,280 --> 01:03:06,599
You don't even know my name. I'll whoop your ass. Beat the white off your ass.
911
01:03:06,599 --> 01:03:07,559
Who are you?
912
01:03:08,039 --> 01:03:08,579
Thief.
913
01:03:09,559 --> 01:03:11,864
It's all right, Hilly. He's a friend of mine.
914
01:03:12,824 --> 01:03:13,784
Alright.
915
01:03:13,784 --> 01:03:14,744
Okay.
916
01:03:14,744 --> 01:03:16,184
So this is Mr. B.
917
01:03:16,184 --> 01:03:17,143
That's the man.
918
01:03:17,143 --> 01:03:19,494
You ain't saying shit now, Mr. Big.
919
01:03:19,592 --> 01:03:32,503
I must admit that I'm slightly at a loss for words, but on the other hand, I should warn you that you are a killer and you are wanted by the police in every state. And I recommend that you.
920
01:03:33,655 --> 01:03:42,295
You're the killer who's wanted by the police in every state. That man you had shot wasn't a vitamin salesman. He was a federal agent. They've been after you for two years.
921
01:03:42,215 --> 01:03:55,976
Ever since that plane crash in Cologne, Germany, when you caused a hundred people to die just to cover up your link with the scandal at the Metropolitan Gallery. So why don't we get them the proof that they wanted? Let's go and get the Rembrandt letters.
922
01:03:55,976 --> 01:03:56,456
Get up.
923
01:03:59,960 --> 01:04:00,449
Get up!
924
01:04:01,112 --> 01:04:02,311
Just do what he said.
925
01:04:03,271 --> 01:04:10,952
Call well, I take it that you are a reasonable man and like all men you place a reasonable value on your life.
926
01:04:10,952 --> 01:04:12,391
You trying to bribe me?
927
01:04:12,391 --> 01:04:18,751
merely pointing out that life is short and the smart man hedges his bets.
928
01:04:18,751 --> 01:04:20,672
You can't protect bets.
929
01:04:21,152 --> 01:04:24,992
If there's one thing I have learned from this trip, it's that you play the game.
930
01:04:25,472 --> 01:04:26,911
And take what you get.
931
01:04:27,391 --> 01:04:27,871
Found
932
01:04:31,639 --> 01:04:45,367
That starts a shootout and the boys have to jump off the train again. They do not get the letters. This is the third time George has had to leave the train, and when they get out of the water, they are both caught. The film then cuts.
933
01:04:45,320 --> 01:04:58,168
That's to the evil man burning the letters out in the open of his train car. And that just seems really dumb burning the letters right there on the fucking train, uh like right out in the open. Why don't you at least go in the bathroom and burn it in the fucking sink? You know.
934
01:04:58,168 --> 01:04:59,128
Yeah, right.
935
01:04:59,128 --> 01:05:05,367
You know, or in the bathtub in on that tape plate, you know, where you can put it out a lot easier.
936
01:05:08,615 --> 01:05:15,927
Uh well anyway, one of his henchmen comes in with some news and well, that's dialogue, so that's our fourteenth clip.
937
01:05:16,152 --> 01:05:21,672
Yeah? I just talked to Cheney. He'll have the helicopter ready at Rockdale, just about five minutes from the station.
938
01:05:22,632 --> 01:05:24,552
We'll be there in 46 minutes.
939
01:05:24,552 --> 01:05:29,351
Is there any way of stopping this train between here and there?
940
01:05:29,831 --> 01:05:32,351
Aside from the engine, there's an emergency break in each car.
941
01:05:33,311 --> 01:05:34,751
Okay. All of them?
942
01:05:34,751 --> 01:05:37,632
Yes, all of them. And take her with you.
943
01:05:41,239 --> 01:05:42,199
They're yours.
944
01:05:42,199 --> 01:05:44,119
You George Caldwell, we
945
01:05:44,119 --> 01:05:46,519
You pleased, would you just tell me
946
01:05:46,519 --> 01:05:47,650
God damn it!
947
01:05:48,039 --> 01:05:51,159
Would you please tell me what the hell we're doing here and what you want from me?
948
01:05:51,159 --> 01:05:52,599
You or George Cromwell? Yes.
949
01:05:52,599 --> 01:05:53,559
I'm George Calbert.
950
01:05:53,559 --> 01:05:55,480
I want some information from you and I want it facts.
951
01:05:55,480 --> 01:05:55,960
I did not.
952
01:05:55,960 --> 01:05:56,920
Not kill sweet.
953
01:05:56,920 --> 01:06:08,072
We know that. And if you weren't so dumb, you would have realized that we planted that news story for your own protection. I've had men posted in every town since Dodge City trying to pick you up while you're gallivanting around the countryside wasting valuable time.
954
01:06:08,072 --> 01:06:09,992
I didn't know that they were federal agents.
955
01:06:09,992 --> 01:06:11,911
Well, let's see what you do.
956
01:06:14,360 --> 01:06:19,159
How many men has Devereaux got on the train? Two. What's his plan after they get to Chicago?
957
01:06:19,159 --> 01:06:23,039
Chicago. He's not going to Chicago. He's getting off at the stop before at Rockdale.
958
01:06:23,608 --> 01:06:24,807
I was afraid of that.
959
01:06:25,288 --> 01:06:29,697
Okay. Matthews, over here.
960
01:06:31,400 --> 01:06:35,239
We're going to stop the train before Rockdale. Closest is.
961
01:06:35,719 --> 01:06:37,380
The Harris Mill Junction.
962
01:06:37,639 --> 01:06:51,416
The railroad. Tell them uh make out like it's uh routine emergency inspection. Now have Bronsky bring his men up in choppers from the south. Get all the passengers off the train, and I don't want any slip-ups. We'll be there as soon as we can. Colgo, you come with us. Stuart, what do you want to do?
963
01:06:51,800 --> 01:06:54,920
This has been a nerve shattering experience for me, so I'd like to go home.
964
01:06:54,920 --> 01:06:59,719
Boys, take him anywhere he wants to go. Okay, men, grab your rifles. Let's move it.
965
01:07:00,199 --> 01:07:01,159
Thank you.
966
01:07:01,159 --> 01:07:02,599
Your shelves.
967
01:07:03,079 --> 01:07:04,260
Let's go!
968
01:07:04,760 --> 01:07:06,920
What does he think I'm gonna do with this?
969
01:07:06,920 --> 01:07:08,360
Build her tires out on the train.
970
01:07:09,800 --> 01:07:11,239
Thanks for everything.
971
01:07:11,719 --> 01:07:12,420
Маталья.
972
01:07:12,920 --> 01:07:15,559
God damn it. Caldwell, get out of here!
973
01:07:16,039 --> 01:07:17,219
If there's ever anything.
974
01:07:18,199 --> 01:07:21,559
Need. Don't call me.
975
01:07:22,039 --> 01:07:26,820
Don't let them get you killed. Take it easy, Keller. Stay loose.
976
01:07:28,760 --> 01:07:30,199
Where'd you like to go, fella?
977
01:07:31,639 --> 01:07:33,559
Left my jag in Kansas City.
978
01:07:33,559 --> 01:07:40,679
They cut from this to the train where everyone has to exit before the bad men can get off the train. Evacuation begins.
979
01:07:40,967 --> 01:07:52,311
And the large man sneaking past bit returns before the man Batty is told it's the cops, and it cuts to copaganda, siren driving as George arrives with the police.
980
01:07:52,487 --> 01:07:58,967
And the baddies are tooling up with M16s. How the fuck did they get those on the train? Oh, wait, it was the 70s.
981
01:07:59,927 --> 01:08:00,407
Yeah.
982
01:08:00,407 --> 01:08:04,387
I mean it's the seventies, man. You bring an atom bomb under the goddamn train.
983
01:08:04,583 --> 01:08:11,063
They knock out the porter and man did that piss me off to see old Dick Halloran get one in the back of the head like that with a knockout shot.
984
01:08:11,063 --> 01:08:12,384
Yeah.
985
01:08:12,519 --> 01:08:19,832
Terrible. But at least he only got knocked out and didn't get killed. And a shootout starts as the passengers flee in terror. The shootout itself.
986
01:08:19,783 --> 01:08:30,103
Goes on for quite a while as George tries to load his gun, when he is startled by Grover, who is returning his wallet in the middle of a shootout for some reason. Oh, that's because it's funny, that's why.
987
01:08:30,103 --> 01:08:30,582
Yeah.
988
01:08:32,264 --> 01:08:45,047
The main baddie shoots a conductor in cold blood and gets the train running again just as George, Grover, and the baddie's henchmen jump on. Devereux is the baddie's name, I just learned that because his guy is screaming at Adam for help before he gets kicked.
989
01:08:45,127 --> 01:08:55,064
in both hands and forced to fall. Then the baddie named Devereaux forces the engineer to keep his foot on the train, making it go full speed. Grover and George make their way through
990
01:08:55,015 --> 01:09:09,847
They threw the train as Hilly is dragged out of the car by the remaining henchmen. Devereaux and the pigs have a shootout between a helicopter and train, which doesn't seem like the most accurate way to be able to shoot, probably.
991
01:09:10,712 --> 01:09:13,591
No, that doesn't seem helpful.
992
01:09:14,072 --> 01:09:24,152
George gets the drop on the henchman after Grover goes down in a battle, and Hilly and Grover are both okay because Grover was playing dead because it was a shootout.
993
01:09:24,152 --> 01:09:24,671
Yeah.
994
01:09:25,000 --> 01:09:26,680
I don't blame you.
995
01:09:26,680 --> 01:09:30,279
Me neither, man. I what do you think I'm doing? Playing dead right away.
996
01:09:30,984 --> 01:09:39,448
The cops and the baddie shootout continues as a nearly out of control helicopter almost hits the train. Man, that was kinda cool.
997
01:09:39,927 --> 01:09:40,408
Yeah.
998
01:09:40,408 --> 01:09:44,760
Yeah. The conductor tried to escape but is shot and the baddie puts a toolbox
999
01:09:44,680 --> 01:09:59,384
on the accelerator before being shot all to hell by the feds and killed by an oncoming train as he hangs out of the side, paralyzed by being shot, and I'm guessing the fear of it all, and man, that was really satisfying, even though you don't actually see him get splattered.
1000
01:09:59,863 --> 01:10:03,224
Yeah, but I mean still, you know. You know what happened.
1001
01:10:03,224 --> 01:10:09,823
And the three heroes are now on the runaway train and need to figure out how to stop it to save their lives.
1002
01:10:10,391 --> 01:10:19,032
George decides to do the climb walk across the top again. They cut to a Fred Willard cameo, so you know goddamn well that's going to be our fifteenth clip.
1003
01:10:20,119 --> 01:10:21,800
How's it going?
1004
01:10:21,800 --> 01:10:22,279
I don't
1005
01:10:23,239 --> 01:10:27,079
Look, the engineer is probably anxious to bring the train in on schedule.
1006
01:10:27,560 --> 01:10:30,439
This is Chief Donaldson. Who's this?
1007
01:10:30,439 --> 01:10:33,319
This is Jerry Jar. Mm.
1008
01:10:34,279 --> 01:10:34,979
Get me your bot.
1009
01:10:36,920 --> 01:10:39,560
But I'm sure I can handle any problem you might have.
1010
01:10:39,560 --> 01:10:46,279
It's not my problem. You've got a dead engineer and a runaway train that's going to hit Chicago in 15 minutes. Now, what are you going to do about it?
1011
01:10:46,760 --> 01:10:51,779
All right, I'll check with the signal towers. But um, you see it's impossible.
1012
01:10:52,279 --> 01:10:54,680
If the engineer is dead, who's driving the train?
1013
01:10:58,279 --> 01:10:59,720
Is there any way?
1014
01:11:00,680 --> 01:11:01,640
Oh, he's okay.
1015
01:11:01,640 --> 01:11:05,479
Listen to me. Is there any way to get to the engine without going over the roof?
1016
01:11:05,479 --> 01:11:07,399
There ain't no way to get the engine pillar.
1017
01:11:07,880 --> 01:11:08,840
Why are we going so
1018
01:11:08,840 --> 01:11:09,319
Fair.
1019
01:11:09,319 --> 01:11:11,359
Because there's no one driving this train.
1020
01:11:11,359 --> 01:11:13,279
Oh, that's impossible! It would stop!
1021
01:11:13,760 --> 01:11:15,199
Does this look as if we're stopping?
1022
01:11:22,560 --> 01:11:27,119
I received a report from the signal towers. They see no engineer in the cabin.
1023
01:11:27,119 --> 01:11:31,920
Great, now you've got the facts. Why don't you just throw one of those switches and have the train run off on a siding?
1024
01:11:31,920 --> 01:11:35,500
That's the problem. All the tracks are computer programmed.
1025
01:11:36,000 --> 01:11:38,880
Switching the silver streak would only cause a collision with another train.
1026
01:11:39,359 --> 01:11:42,960
Then what the hell are you gonna do? There are people riding on that train.
1027
01:11:44,399 --> 01:11:49,439
You see, the standard procedure in such an emergency would be to derail the train.
1028
01:11:49,439 --> 01:11:51,720
Derail it in the middle of the yard.
1029
01:11:52,000 --> 01:11:57,039
Yes, actually I can't take that responsibility. Uh I'd better get my boss.
1030
01:11:57,039 --> 01:12:04,300
You better do something, you idiot, because in ten minutes you're going to have two hundred tons of locomotive smashing through Central Station on its way to Marshall Field.
1031
01:12:06,000 --> 01:12:07,439
Where are we going?
1032
01:12:07,439 --> 01:12:09,359
Продолжение следует...
1033
01:12:10,319 --> 01:12:11,279
Hey, Jack!
1034
01:12:14,159 --> 01:12:14,859
Dziękuję za uwagę.
1035
01:12:16,560 --> 01:12:23,760
And what we have to do is I'm coming to God. We've got to put up that car and turn it to the left. We're going to party.
1036
01:12:24,239 --> 01:12:25,680
Don't there, Fresh Lion?
1037
01:12:25,680 --> 01:12:26,640
And the wrist!
1038
01:12:26,640 --> 01:12:29,520
Climb on throughout the train, and you've got to jump on back!
1039
01:12:33,960 --> 01:12:34,439
I fell.
1040
01:12:36,960 --> 01:12:38,640
Hey Mabel, have you seen Benny?
1041
01:12:39,119 --> 01:12:41,039
But isn't the little Caesar the railroad?
1042
01:12:48,720 --> 01:12:49,199
Thank you.
1043
01:12:49,199 --> 01:12:51,119
Silver Streak is a runaway. What do we do?
1044
01:12:51,600 --> 01:12:52,560
Субтитры делал DimaTorzok
1045
01:12:52,560 --> 01:12:54,220
We'll be here in four minutes.
1046
01:12:58,800 --> 01:13:02,859
You are requested to walk to the nearest exit as quickly as possible.
1047
01:13:16,319 --> 01:13:27,500
That's the end of that. Our Pentultimate Clip. The station is given a warning at the end of the clip, and our heroes fight to stop the train in time to save their lives and the lives of those at the station.
1048
01:13:27,920 --> 01:13:41,695
They successfully sever the cars and jump to safety from the speeding away car to the car that is slowing down as the engine spectacularly crashes into the station. This is a disaster movie level of crash effects and stunts.
1049
01:13:42,000 --> 01:13:47,520
that I cannot begin to even describe accurately. I'm not taking the time to write it down.
1050
01:13:47,520 --> 01:13:49,260
Blues brothers level here.
1051
01:13:49,615 --> 01:14:04,576
Yeah. This is Blues Brothers level of mass devastation and destruction, like in a comedy aspect as well, where people are running out of the way and safe and things are being destroyed, but it's funny the way that it's being destroyed, but no one actually gets hurt, and it's actually pretty fucking cool.
1052
01:14:04,576 --> 01:14:05,536
Yeah.
1053
01:14:05,536 --> 01:14:06,496
¡Gracias!
1054
01:14:06,496 --> 01:14:07,536
It's a really awesome.
1055
01:14:07,935 --> 01:14:10,095
Yeah. Our heroes make it alive and
1056
01:14:10,095 --> 01:14:11,536
Dick.
1057
01:14:11,536 --> 01:14:15,855
Our heroes make it alive and Dick Halloran drinks to his life in our final.
1058
01:14:26,159 --> 01:14:28,560
And no Chicago hell!
1059
01:14:29,039 --> 01:14:30,479
Gotta drink to that!
1060
01:14:30,479 --> 01:14:32,880
Amen. Thank you.
1061
01:14:32,880 --> 01:14:36,359
I don't know about you, but next time I'm gonna take the bus.
1062
01:14:36,359 --> 01:14:39,720
Maybe I'm crazy, but it looks as if it's grinning.
1063
01:14:39,720 --> 01:14:42,600
Yeah, like the cat who swallowed the canary.
1064
01:14:44,039 --> 01:14:45,100
I don't know
1065
01:14:48,239 --> 01:14:49,680
Take it easy, killer.
1066
01:14:50,159 --> 01:14:51,340
Stay loose!
1067
01:14:52,800 --> 01:14:53,520
What's she doing?
1068
01:14:54,000 --> 01:14:55,659
He's crazy.
1069
01:14:56,880 --> 01:14:58,539
Crazy. He's got the right idea.
1070
01:14:59,039 --> 01:15:00,960
Let's get out of here.
1071
01:15:01,439 --> 01:15:02,399
I'm tired.
1072
01:15:02,880 --> 01:15:07,199
I want to lie back on the grass and have you teach me some more about gardening.
1073
01:15:09,119 --> 01:15:12,720
You know, no gardening talk being sexy just doesn't quite work, I don't think.
1074
01:15:12,720 --> 01:15:14,640
Oh worked out for him.
1075
01:15:14,640 --> 01:15:20,619
Yeah, yeah, as long as they're happy together.
1076
01:15:23,039 --> 01:15:24,479
This shell still fucking s-
1077
01:15:25,199 --> 01:15:38,783
Awesome movie. The chemistry with Wilder and Prior just is unmatched uh at this point in times in their careers. It's just uh a great way of like bringing two guys who have different ways of doing humor and bringing them together and it just works.
1078
01:15:38,783 --> 01:15:53,503
Yeah, definitely. Uh this is kind of a Gene Wilder film for the bulk of it. And then they have like this little added spice of a Richard Pryor almost kind of cameo at the back half of the film, right? It's like first towel.
1079
01:15:53,503 --> 01:15:54,894
Yeah.
1080
01:15:54,927 --> 01:15:58,047
And then back half is all Richard Pryor, Gene Wilder sort of team up it.
1081
01:15:58,047 --> 01:16:04,287
It was it was almost like the team up movies weren't even thought of while this was being shot, and then they were like, Well, God, they they had a
1082
01:16:04,880 --> 01:16:08,960
Chemistry on camera together. Maybe we should uh do a couple team up movies with them.
1083
01:16:08,960 --> 01:16:21,423
Yeah, like I think for a moment they were just supposed to be like he was supposed to be another person who helped him and then like him coming back to give him his wallet is just like no let's bring him in and finish the film with him You know what I mean? Like it just feels like Exactly that was a because
1084
01:16:21,648 --> 01:16:31,136
Yes, it's comedy, but like, are you really gonna enter a fucking shootout after it already happened to give somebody his wallet? Or are you just gonna stay back out of the way and wait for him to make sure he's alive?
1085
01:16:31,423 --> 01:16:40,783
Right? Like which you know, which you wouldn't see as character then. He wouldn't end up on the train. Right. So it I that's why I feel like maybe that was a work to get him back in. Because they weren't expecting to put him in, but they had a
1086
01:16:40,783 --> 01:16:41,743
Yeah.
1087
01:16:42,895 --> 01:16:43,615
Right.
1088
01:16:43,615 --> 01:16:45,055
No, I see that completely.
1089
01:16:45,055 --> 01:16:51,466
Yeah. And they de they definitely know they have something here at the end of this film because we get three more fucking movies. We get two
1090
01:16:51,600 --> 01:16:53,760
So they know they got something with this.
1091
01:16:53,760 --> 01:17:01,920
So yeah, we get two good ones where the next week's movie, um I'm just gonna fucking say it here is the best for sure. And then it starts to crazy.
1092
01:17:01,920 --> 01:17:02,479
Come on.
1093
01:17:02,800 --> 01:17:13,119
Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. But they definitely realize with this film they've got something here for sure.'Cause they definitely perfect what they have here in our next film next week. For sure. Oh yeah.
1094
01:17:13,119 --> 01:17:24,832
Yeah, definitely. Yeah. They perfect whatever accidental, you know, uh chemistry they they just produced. Yeah. And then and then did something with it in the next movie. Yeah.
1095
01:17:24,832 --> 01:17:34,560
Yeah. They they found a way to actually basically recreate the lightning in a bottle. Like right. Like somehow they have like a Tesla coil in a bottle with what they do next week.

01:17:39,184 --> 01:17:53,260
All right, well I'm good with this if you are, and uh I think I'm ready to stick all the quits on this. We don't need to do story times. We'll we'll come back and maybe we'll come up with some All right, so we'll go ahead and play the uh show housekeeping and when we come back we'll close out the

1104
01:19:31,199 --> 01:19:43,648
Right man, I'm excited. I can't wait to talk about Sir Crazy next week with everybody. I'm really happy to be back and actually talking about some stuff that brings me some joy. Uh all the stuff that we talked about and we're planning on doing, I'm working on getting the movies, I'm trying to get copies.
1105
01:19:43,775 --> 01:19:54,720
Matt for everything in some way, shape or form. I picked some really wild out there stuff that uh may not even be able to be found, so I might have to change up the schedule and replace with other movies uh for our trucker and
1106
01:19:56,159 --> 01:19:58,800
That we're gonna be working on for a while. Uh but yeah.
1107
01:19:58,800 --> 01:19:59,760
Please man.
1108
01:19:59,760 --> 01:20:07,439
Yeah. Well just to get him to stop doing that and torturing us all, I'm gonna say goodbye, everybody, so kick the fuck out of this weekend
00:00:07,919 --> 00:00:11,279
We're cut it to pieces and say there are
2
00:00:11,759 --> 00:00:12,720
They used to take
3
00:00:14,640 --> 00:00:16,079
Now it's just bits of a cap.

Call billionaires parasite to middle.

00:01:19,439 --> 00:01:24,719
Just too many late for us, try to do a show. Virtue single in how they're so wolf, tip a style.
9
00:01:33,120 --> 00:01:37,871
And welcome to the 530th episode of Cinema Psyops.
10
00:01:38,159 --> 00:01:49,920
I'm your host, Cort, the guy that is super stoked to be talking about Silver Streak. And joining me in the joy of our very first coverage of Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder as a team is my co-host back. Unlike
11
00:01:49,920 --> 00:01:50,620
After you
12
00:01:50,879 --> 00:01:51,408
Yeah.
13
00:01:51,871 --> 00:01:53,552
In this dark realm that we
14
00:01:53,552 --> 00:01:54,512
Like having a good
15
00:01:55,951 --> 00:01:56,432
going on.
16
00:01:56,432 --> 00:01:59,311
Need laughter more in this dark time that we're living in.
17
00:01:59,311 --> 00:02:00,031
It laughed.
18
00:02:00,992 --> 00:02:02,191
And by the way, everyone's not sure.
19
00:02:03,152 --> 00:02:10,352
If we sound sexier or different, it's because we are now talking all digital. We are now broadcasting. Yeah, we're all digital.
20
00:02:10,352 --> 00:02:11,262
Digital now.
21
00:02:11,391 --> 00:02:14,512
Yeah. Matt's been digital for a while. But uh
22
00:02:14,512 --> 00:02:17,722
I've been digital for a while, but now Court's digital.
23
00:02:18,304 --> 00:02:19,024
Cảm ơn các bạn đã theo dõi và hẹn gặp lại.
24
00:02:19,024 --> 00:02:20,943
Now everything's digital.
25
00:02:20,943 --> 00:02:33,024
No well, my laptop is the only computer, no more full use of computers, one for a s Zoom meeting with Matt, one for all of my sound triggering stuff. No more what, one, two, three.
26
00:02:33,312 --> 00:02:33,872
Five six.
27
00:02:35,312 --> 00:02:48,431
Tent twel wow, uh thirteen pieces of electronic equipment that all have to plug into a hundred and twenty volts. The American style uh electrical voltage, uh running all at once. Uh we're saving the planet and we're uh
28
00:02:48,431 --> 00:02:51,312
I mean we have single handedly saved the planet.
29
00:02:51,312 --> 00:02:57,936
Yeah, just by me not using all of that. I'll tell you one thing that we're gonna save is every two weeks my power build that that ship ran up. That's for sure.
30
00:02:57,936 --> 00:02:59,455
Ha ha ha ha.
31
00:02:59,680 --> 00:03:03,280
It'll come charging my car every weekend.
32
00:03:04,240 --> 00:03:07,610
Mm. There you go. See, we're helping.
33
00:03:07,807 --> 00:03:13,616
Hooray. No, uh I wanted to go full digital. I've been talking about it a while. I wanted I wanted to retire the rack and now is the time.
34
00:03:13,632 --> 00:03:27,984
So that's what I'm doing. Um for you gear nuts out there, I'm just gonna say it. Uh I've got a Sure M V seven plus. It's a USB C microphone. And so far my only complaint is uh the software that comes with it doesn't really give you a noise gauge.
35
00:03:28,240 --> 00:03:36,240
And uh Matt and I are gonna have to formulate a plan. I think I'll probably come up with something. We'll just get some kind of third party or freeware software and we'll
36
00:03:38,175 --> 00:03:45,616
But you're gonna hear noises in the background. You're gonna hear noises in the background because I don't have noise gating anymore and it's driving me just as nuts as it will all over here.
37
00:03:45,616 --> 00:03:47,056
Ha ha ha.
38
00:03:47,056 --> 00:03:52,960
And I swear, I turned I turned my phone off, so no I turned my phone to silence, so now you shouldn't hear it buzzing now.
39
00:03:52,960 --> 00:04:02,560
Oh, it doesn't it doesn't matter, man. It really doesn't. People don't care if they hear that stuff. What they wanna care about and hear is the fact that we're gonna be talking about Silver Street this week, nineteen seventy six.
40
00:04:02,560 --> 00:04:04,539
That's the only thing they care about.
41
00:04:05,039 --> 00:04:09,120
So let's give it to them. What do you say? We'll go ahead and take the break here.
42
00:04:09,120 --> 00:04:09,599
That's doing it
43
00:04:09,599 --> 00:04:13,659
Legendary Legion Patreon ad and when we come back we'll jump right into the coverage of Silver Shift.
44
00:04:15,360 --> 00:04:24,220
Oh, hi there. I didn't see ya. You call me cutting a new show. I'm Bo Ransdel, and I'm one of the many creators you can find on Legion Podcasts.
45
00:04:28,560 --> 00:04:35,040
My fellow podcasters and I work hard to bring you the best in horror podcasting, but that comes at a cost.
46
00:04:36,480 --> 00:04:38,399
Live deliciously.
47
00:04:38,399 --> 00:04:49,680
Not that, but also yes. No, what I'm getting at is that there are server costs, costs for good microphones and software for editing, all the things that make our shows, you know, fun to listen to.
48
00:04:50,160 --> 00:04:57,360
And you can help. If you're enjoying the shows on LegionPodcasts.com or in the Legion Network available on
49
00:04:58,560 --> 00:05:06,959
Just about anywhere you can download a podcast, really. You can help us out and get a little something for your trouble at patreon.com/LegionPodcasts
50
00:05:06,959 --> 00:05:07,680
Yeah.
51
00:05:07,855 --> 00:05:21,536
For just two bucks a month, you get a pair of movie commentaries exclusive to Patreon, and for five dollars, you can also join us for a monthly screening of a movie. All of that available on patreon.com/LegionPodcasts
52
00:05:22,016 --> 00:05:24,720
We appreciate it and thank you for listening.
53
00:05:25,199 --> 00:05:26,639
Back to the cutting room.
54
00:05:57,839 --> 00:06:06,480
Man, that is a really really outdated uh promo. Someone ought to rewrite or re-record one or something, but then Bill's voice would be gone.
55
00:06:08,639 --> 00:06:17,759
The best because Bo was kinda gone from the internet, so I haven't heard from him forever. So, Bo, if you're still listening to us, buddy, I miss you, reach out to me. I'd like to hear from you. Uh you got my email.
56
00:06:20,160 --> 00:06:23,740
But enough of that. Let's uh let's actually get into talking about Silver Street and stop it.
57
00:06:24,720 --> 00:06:25,439
Пока.
58
00:06:25,439 --> 00:06:26,399
Let's do it.
59
00:06:30,480 --> 00:06:32,480
That's th that's what I'm trying to say.
60
00:06:32,672 --> 00:06:38,560
Yeah, the film opens with expository dialogue and this is our way. So that is our first
61
00:06:40,959 --> 00:06:41,920
Yes sir.
62
00:06:42,399 --> 00:06:44,319
It's the train to Chicago, the Silver Street.
63
00:06:46,240 --> 00:06:47,199
Thank you.
64
00:06:47,199 --> 00:06:48,160
Next time.
65
00:06:49,120 --> 00:06:50,620
Thanks.
66
00:06:53,279 --> 00:06:54,720
What are those companioners doing up?
67
00:06:57,600 --> 00:06:58,560
Ain't that something?
68
00:06:59,040 --> 00:07:02,879
I didn't know there was a bad number to hit the zone, Lord. Now we got them in five.
69
00:07:04,319 --> 00:07:04,800
Yeah.
70
00:07:07,800 --> 00:07:09,240
Why not?
71
00:07:14,519 --> 00:07:15,959
Am I in the right place?
72
00:07:16,439 --> 00:07:17,399
First class?
73
00:07:17,399 --> 00:07:18,360
Yes, sir.
74
00:07:24,000 --> 00:07:24,480
Oh.
75
00:07:24,480 --> 00:07:27,360
This is the room here, sir. Okay. Thanks a lot. Thank you, sir. Bye-bye.
76
00:07:27,360 --> 00:07:28,319
Have a pleasant trip.
77
00:07:28,319 --> 00:07:33,120
Sir, you think you're going to be needing all these bags up there? If not, I can store some of them down till then.
78
00:07:33,120 --> 00:07:38,259
Sure, sure. All I need is this one and that one. You can take this. All right. And I'll keep the briefcase.
79
00:07:38,279 --> 00:07:39,000
I'll take that.
80
00:07:40,920 --> 00:07:41,879
कर दो कर दो
81
00:07:42,360 --> 00:07:44,759
Thanks. And this is...
82
00:07:44,759 --> 00:07:45,720
This is your laboratory?
83
00:07:46,680 --> 00:07:48,120
Nice big room.
84
00:07:48,120 --> 00:07:49,079
Very convenient.
85
00:07:49,560 --> 00:07:51,000
What's this partition?
86
00:07:51,000 --> 00:07:53,019
Oh, that turns the room into a double suite.
87
00:07:54,000 --> 00:07:56,879
We used to have a lot of calls for the honeymooners, but...
88
00:07:58,800 --> 00:08:01,680
This latch seems to be stuck, that's all.
89
00:08:01,680 --> 00:08:02,639
Minds change.
90
00:08:05,872 --> 00:08:09,711
No, I I agree with everything you said. All I want to do is take it easy.
91
00:08:09,711 --> 00:08:10,192
Good.
92
00:08:11,151 --> 00:08:15,471
Just settle back and enjoy the trip because uh it ain't gonna be too exciting now, but we'll get you there.
93
00:08:15,951 --> 00:08:16,432
Okay.
94
00:08:16,432 --> 00:08:17,391
Have a nice ride.
95
00:08:17,391 --> 00:08:18,112
Thanks a lot.
96
00:08:18,319 --> 00:08:19,040
Bye-bye.
97
00:08:26,639 --> 00:08:39,678
After that it starts a long credit sequence of the train pulling out of the station and crossing the country before cutting to the dining car, and a woman asking Gene Wilder if he likes her perfume in our second clip. Because this is the way.
98
00:08:40,639 --> 00:08:42,080
Do you like this perfume?
99
00:08:42,558 --> 00:08:44,480
I mix it myself.
100
00:08:44,960 --> 00:08:45,919
감사합니다.
101
00:08:48,799 --> 00:08:52,639
That's something, huh? Yes, sir. We leave Los Angeles.
102
00:08:53,120 --> 00:08:57,559
Go right up there to Nevada, into Colorado, across the Rockies.
103
00:08:58,039 --> 00:09:02,360
Up to Kansas City, Kansas. Right in here is a town called Ashford, Missouri.
104
00:09:02,840 --> 00:09:10,159
Cross a big Mississippi two and a half days or right up there to Chicago, Illinois. That's some trip, huh? Mm-hmm. You're from Chicago?
105
00:09:11,600 --> 00:09:15,919
I'm from Chicago. My name is Bob Sweet. A sweet man, but a mean baby.
106
00:09:16,879 --> 00:09:17,840
Субтитры сделал DimaTorzok
107
00:09:20,240 --> 00:09:23,600
George wants to racket you and No kidding.
108
00:09:23,600 --> 00:09:23,940
Come on.
109
00:09:23,960 --> 00:09:24,679
Come on, sit down here.
110
00:09:25,159 --> 00:09:25,639
Nice.
111
00:09:25,639 --> 00:09:27,559
You know, I'm in uh vitamins myself.
112
00:09:29,000 --> 00:09:33,799
Here, here, there's a sample for you, vitamin E. Now that is great for the old pecker.
113
00:09:36,200 --> 00:09:42,080
Yeah, it really keeps a pencil sharp. I'm not kidding. Have you had a uh chance yet to uh check out the action?
114
00:09:42,080 --> 00:09:45,440
No. Actually this is the first time I've ever taken a train.
115
00:09:45,440 --> 00:09:46,399
You're kidding.
116
00:09:46,879 --> 00:09:49,759
Come on. Well, you're in for the ride of your life.
117
00:09:50,240 --> 00:09:54,679
We just pick out a little chicky, my friend, and it's hugging munch all the way to Chicago.
118
00:09:56,600 --> 00:10:02,360
I do it all the time. I tell my boss that I'm afraid of flying and I get this action twice a year.
119
00:10:02,840 --> 00:10:04,759
It's a cat house on a wheel.
120
00:10:05,720 --> 00:10:10,159
Come on, Caleb. Come on. It's something about the movement of the trainer does it.
121
00:10:11,120 --> 00:10:13,039
All that motion makes a girl horny.
122
00:10:14,480 --> 00:10:20,720
Well I'll tell you, Bob, I'm not really interested in the shipboard romance. I took the train to rest and get a lot of readings.
123
00:10:20,720 --> 00:10:23,940
Oh, hold it, hold it. Right there, George. I believe I see my chicken.
124
00:10:23,960 --> 00:10:25,159
for tonight.
125
00:10:25,159 --> 00:10:26,120
Hi there.
126
00:10:26,600 --> 00:10:28,519
Can I uh buy you a drink?
127
00:10:28,519 --> 00:10:29,960
I have one. Thank you.
128
00:10:29,960 --> 00:10:35,720
Well, I'll just enjoy you. That's an old-fashioned ride. Can you go all the way?
129
00:10:37,159 --> 00:10:38,940
I said, do you go all the way?
130
00:10:41,600 --> 00:10:43,039
Yes, I do.
131
00:10:45,440 --> 00:10:46,399
Do what?
132
00:10:46,399 --> 00:10:53,600
Go to Chicago. I mean, you know, we're gonna be uh we're stuck on this train together and you can't jump off.
133
00:10:53,960 --> 00:10:55,159
Продолжение следует...
134
00:10:55,159 --> 00:10:56,120
Ha ha ha.
135
00:10:56,120 --> 00:10:58,039
Thank you.
136
00:10:59,960 --> 00:11:01,399
I said, are you
137
00:11:02,360 --> 00:11:04,279
Lady, I am always hot.
138
00:11:05,240 --> 00:11:06,460
I can cool you down.
139
00:11:10,080 --> 00:11:11,519
How's the lab?
140
00:11:12,960 --> 00:11:16,799
Yes. Please sit down. What a nice surprise.
141
00:11:16,799 --> 00:11:20,639
Uh I said how's the latch? We have connecting rooms
142
00:11:21,600 --> 00:11:28,320
Good, it's good, it's fine, thank you. It's a little bit rusty, but nothing serious. I'll get the porter to look at it.
143
00:11:28,320 --> 00:11:30,360
There's no rush, is there?
144
00:11:30,360 --> 00:11:32,279
But it looks like a cocktail.
145
00:11:32,279 --> 00:11:35,159
Um a martini on the rocks with the twins.
146
00:11:35,159 --> 00:11:35,639
Thank you.
147
00:11:35,639 --> 00:11:36,120
Two.
148
00:11:36,600 --> 00:11:37,080
Yes, sir.
149
00:11:37,080 --> 00:11:39,000
My name is George Caldwell.
150
00:11:39,480 --> 00:11:40,919
Hilly Burns.
151
00:11:40,919 --> 00:11:41,879
Hilly Burns.
152
00:11:41,879 --> 00:11:42,360
Thank you.
153
00:11:42,360 --> 00:11:45,840
That's short for Hildegard. What's that pencil for?
154
00:11:46,320 --> 00:11:48,720
You have to fill out your own menu card.
155
00:11:48,720 --> 00:11:56,879
One Macedon of fruit, beef oriental rice carrots, coffee, apple pie a la Mot. You print very well.
156
00:11:57,360 --> 00:11:58,320
Thanks.
157
00:11:58,799 --> 00:12:06,120
I'll have the same thing. You do it for me. I can't even read my own writing. I don't do shorthand and I can't type.
158
00:12:06,120 --> 00:12:07,080
What do you do for a living?
159
00:12:07,559 --> 00:12:08,519
I'm a secretary.
160
00:12:08,519 --> 00:12:09,960
Or how do you keep your job?
161
00:12:09,960 --> 00:12:14,279
I give great phone. I have a terrific personality.
162
00:12:14,639 --> 00:12:15,840
You going to Chicago?
163
00:12:15,840 --> 00:12:18,720
Yes? I'm going to my sister's wedding.
164
00:12:18,720 --> 00:12:22,080
How come you're taking the train? You afraid of flying?
165
00:12:22,080 --> 00:12:24,960
No, I'm not afraid of flying. I uh
166
00:12:24,960 --> 00:12:25,440
Thank you.
167
00:12:25,440 --> 00:12:26,879
I just want to be bored.
168
00:12:29,799 --> 00:12:30,500
And you?
169
00:12:31,720 --> 00:12:36,039
Oh, my new boss likes the old-fashioned ways.
170
00:12:37,000 --> 00:12:43,720
He's just written a book on Rembrandt and he's gonna kick off his publicity campaign with um a lecture at the Art Institute.
171
00:12:43,720 --> 00:12:45,980
Oh yes, I'm in publishing. What's his name?
172
00:12:46,000 --> 00:12:48,639
Professor Arthur Schreiner. Have you heard of him?
173
00:12:50,559 --> 00:12:56,320
Most people have it. He's um he's been a recluse working on this book for about twenty years.
174
00:12:56,320 --> 00:12:57,279
Where is he now?
175
00:12:57,759 --> 00:13:00,980
Oh, he's in bed with a glass of hot milk molasses. He's a health nun.
176
00:13:02,200 --> 00:13:03,639
Howdy published.
177
00:13:03,639 --> 00:13:07,015
All mostly non-fiction, gardening.
178
00:13:07,015 --> 00:13:07,975
Как так?
179
00:13:07,975 --> 00:13:08,936
How to do it books?
180
00:13:09,895 --> 00:13:11,336
Like sex manuals?
181
00:13:11,816 --> 00:13:13,255
I've edited a few.
182
00:13:15,655 --> 00:13:17,576
I know what goes where I'm going to do it.
183
00:13:18,056 --> 00:13:18,535
Thank you.
184
00:13:18,535 --> 00:13:19,015
Bye.
185
00:13:19,495 --> 00:13:22,015
That's very interesting. You married?
186
00:13:25,960 --> 00:13:31,240
My friends all told me that my wife was too good for me, and after a couple of years I decided they were right.
187
00:13:31,720 --> 00:13:32,899
Sounds sad.
188
00:13:33,399 --> 00:13:38,919
Uh you say that your boss is in art history. Is that what you're interested in?
189
00:13:38,919 --> 00:13:40,360
Not really.
190
00:13:40,840 --> 00:13:44,419
I just got this job because I was available. I was willing to travel.
191
00:13:48,519 --> 00:13:49,480
Продолжение следует...
192
00:13:50,919 --> 00:13:57,159
We'll have a bottle of the moutong cadet 1971.
193
00:13:57,639 --> 00:13:59,080
Very good, sir.
194
00:13:59,559 --> 00:14:01,000
You do that very well.
195
00:14:01,230 --> 00:14:03,279
I give great French.
196
00:14:03,279 --> 00:14:09,519
Good Lord Ned Beatty is at some of his fucking sleaziest in that clip, right? Oh, it's just gross. Mm-hmm.
197
00:14:09,519 --> 00:14:13,296
Really is just What a gross dude.
198
00:14:14,255 --> 00:14:15,696
I do love the way that she puts it.
199
00:14:15,696 --> 00:14:16,176
That's lovely.
200
00:14:16,176 --> 00:14:18,426
In his place. Yeah, in the movie, obviously.
201
00:14:18,624 --> 00:14:33,456
202
00:14:33,615 --> 00:14:36,759
Wild fucking woman's man where all these ladies love him.
203
00:14:37,000 --> 00:14:37,720
Yeah.
204
00:14:37,720 --> 00:14:43,000
Apparently, man, uh fucking, I don't know. Dude's got it going on. All right, what are we supposed to do about it?
205
00:14:43,000 --> 00:14:55,063
But that dive out of the way at the diner is a bit of physical comedy that was absolute genius. This that's the he's really good at doing physical comedy in a such a way and that particular dive was really fucking fun.
206
00:14:55,063 --> 00:14:57,464
Mm-hmm. Yeah, no, that was really good.
207
00:14:57,464 --> 00:15:10,327
And then at the end of the clip, what we see is Richard Keel looking like Jaws from the Bond movies, roughing up a dude, and then they cut back to the lady that came on to Gene Wilder, laughing loudly at his jokes.
208
00:15:10,552 --> 00:15:22,600
And all but presenting to him like a mandrel as they sip champagne and are eating food together, they run out of champagne and get making with the fuck apparently as they head back to their d adjoining rooms.
209
00:15:25,847 --> 00:15:39,847
I love that little bit where Gene calls Ned on his shit when he gets the girl Ned was uh sleezing on and the Mm-hmm and then also the bit of no room in the hallway where that one big man is trying to get cross and then
210
00:15:40,583 --> 00:15:50,183
Oh yeah. Then he basically just gets knocked right into that other woman's room, then she starts panicking because um for all she knows, a man with champagne just charged into her room. She has every right to be panicked and scared.
211
00:15:51,144 --> 00:15:54,384
Right? I would be. I'd be like, What the fuck are you?
212
00:15:54,552 --> 00:16:04,100
And then he ends up hiding out in another guy's room and then just starts pretending like he's inspecting the room while the guy buys it just so like he can be out of the way of the other larger gentleman.
213
00:16:04,100 --> 00:16:04,807
Thanks.
214
00:16:05,288 --> 00:16:06,248
That's just, yeah.
215
00:16:06,248 --> 00:16:14,967
Is Gene Wilder at his best playing timid and then being silly and trying to cover some insane action that he just did? This is superb stuff right here. I love all of these bits.
216
00:16:14,967 --> 00:16:15,447
Thank you.
217
00:16:15,927 --> 00:16:17,368
yeah i know it's awesome
218
00:16:17,368 --> 00:16:24,087
Yeah. Well that whole inspecting it bit, we finally end up where he means to be, and that is the start of our
219
00:16:24,567 --> 00:16:25,697
This is very nice.
220
00:16:27,399 --> 00:16:29,059
Would you like some champagne?
221
00:16:30,279 --> 00:16:33,379
I can't get over the size of this room without the partition.
222
00:16:34,600 --> 00:16:37,000
They are small rooms by themselves.
223
00:16:37,480 --> 00:16:38,919
They're perfect for Joglies.
224
00:16:40,360 --> 00:16:44,200
For juggling. When you practice, the balls would always bounce off the walls.
225
00:16:45,159 --> 00:16:46,340
Juggle a lot.
226
00:16:48,039 --> 00:16:50,659
I know what goes where and why.
227
00:16:52,600 --> 00:16:53,320
I like it.
228
00:16:53,320 --> 00:16:54,500
That song.
229
00:16:55,480 --> 00:16:57,399
If I ever hear it again.
230
00:16:58,840 --> 00:17:00,759
It'll be difficult not to think of you.
231
00:17:07,480 --> 00:17:09,400
To traveling by train.
232
00:17:09,880 --> 00:17:12,279
Trains that pass in the night.
233
00:17:14,680 --> 00:17:15,880
You like my new shoes?
234
00:17:16,358 --> 00:17:18,980
Yes, I do. Why don't you take them off?
235
00:17:19,480 --> 00:17:22,358
You can put them in that little locker over there in the porter. We'll have them shine.
236
00:17:24,759 --> 00:17:26,680
That's terrific.
237
00:17:27,880 --> 00:17:29,539
Is that the master's work?
238
00:17:33,400 --> 00:17:34,359
Safe keeping.
239
00:17:35,319 --> 00:17:36,759
You wanna read it?
240
00:17:42,039 --> 00:17:43,480
Slide over.
241
00:17:45,880 --> 00:17:47,319
It's beautiful isn't it?
242
00:17:49,720 --> 00:18:03,319
And with that they begin the dance of those that fuck as they have precoidal sort of pillow talk and then make out slowly and somewhat cashly as they talk about gardening or some shit. This is supposed to be hot and sexy, but I just
243
00:18:03,367 --> 00:18:07,448
Feel bad that these people think that this is hot and sexy. And whoever wrote this thought that
244
00:18:07,448 --> 00:18:14,438
You know, it was a different time. Uh what's hot and sexy to you, maybe it's not hot and sexy to everyone else.
245
00:18:15,048 --> 00:18:18,647
If this is your hot and sexy, you are a vanilla manny's motherfucker.
246
00:18:18,647 --> 00:18:24,567
Yeah, I mean I'm not saying it's for me, but I'm just saying, you know, don't kink shame people for being.
247
00:18:24,567 --> 00:18:32,248
Don't lack of kink shame people. Yeah. Don't lack of kink shame people. Yeah. Having normal sexual healthy relations without kink, I guess. Whatever.
248
00:18:33,160 --> 00:18:43,960
All right, she works her way down on him during this and as she does so a corpse drops down and interrupts them when Gene Wilder screams in terror, which is one of the things he is amazing at.
249
00:18:45,352 --> 00:18:51,223
And she tries to talk him down, even though we all know he saw that corpse.
250
00:18:51,703 --> 00:18:52,663
Having said that, yeah.
251
00:18:52,663 --> 00:18:56,104
The uh uh the the prison scene where everyone's all afraid.
252
00:18:56,327 --> 00:18:57,048
Yeah.
253
00:18:57,048 --> 00:19:06,647
Having said that, maybe he should have just minded his own business and kept going'cause he was about to get blown. Like who cares if a corpse got dropped off a train? Just keep your mouth shut.
254
00:19:07,688 --> 00:19:08,407
Except the old.
255
00:19:08,407 --> 00:19:14,728
If you you gotta power through. If you want, you know if you want some of the fun, you gotta power through shit.
256
00:19:14,759 --> 00:19:23,160
Yeah, and also if someone's about to wrap their mouth around your member and you scream in terror, maybe you uh might, you know, not get that again.
257
00:19:23,160 --> 00:19:32,567
I don't know, yeah, maybe not. I'm just saying, yeah, you're not wrong. I mean, come on. But again, comedy. Let's let's not look too deep into it.
258
00:19:32,711 --> 00:19:44,695
She soothes him once again and they start making out again and the film cuts to the train porn as we watch the train traverse rocky, arid terrain. So we don't actually see any fucking, we just watch a train move across the desert land.
259
00:19:44,887 --> 00:19:53,528
You know what it kinda remind me of, uh having to settle down is uh Bastard Party with the guy with the with his pants down and then he falls into the car sunroof.
260
00:19:54,887 --> 00:19:57,048
All right.
261
00:19:57,528 --> 00:20:09,672
We see George kissing a giving a kiss to a sleeping Hilly to say goodbye, only to realize the boss was the corpse that he saw and wakes her up to tell us and her in this fortune.
262
00:20:09,672 --> 00:20:10,821
What? Jilly?
263
00:20:11,319 --> 00:20:12,519
Hilly?
264
00:20:13,000 --> 00:20:14,660
Hilly, wake up!
265
00:20:15,400 --> 00:20:16,599
Thank you.
266
00:20:16,599 --> 00:20:17,509
Really chew.
267
00:20:17,703 --> 00:20:22,023
Hilly, the man that I saw outside the window last night, this is him.
268
00:20:22,023 --> 00:20:24,183
Smite boss.
269
00:20:24,183 --> 00:20:25,144
Professor.
270
00:20:25,144 --> 00:20:26,584
I know it. That's what I'm talking about.
271
00:20:26,584 --> 00:20:27,064
What's it?
272
00:20:27,544 --> 00:20:29,253
It's just after eight.
273
00:20:29,592 --> 00:20:33,192
Hey, oh no. Wake me up again when it's after tea.
274
00:20:33,192 --> 00:20:35,301
Hilly, this man has been murdered.
275
00:20:36,759 --> 00:20:37,960
Well,
276
00:20:39,400 --> 00:20:48,259
Why don't you go down the hall and discuss it with him and then come back here and discuss it with me? He's just right past the diner room seat.
277
00:20:49,480 --> 00:20:51,400
Hilly, I didn't imagine it.
278
00:20:51,880 --> 00:20:54,980
Good night, Joy. A wonderful garden.
279
00:21:01,000 --> 00:21:01,960
Hey, George!
280
00:21:01,960 --> 00:21:03,400
That one. Come on!
281
00:21:03,400 --> 00:21:04,359
Join me for coffee.
282
00:21:04,359 --> 00:21:07,940
All right. Uh I'll be right back. I just have to check on something.
283
00:21:18,519 --> 00:21:20,440
Professor Schreiner, please.
284
00:21:22,359 --> 00:21:24,279
My name is George Caldwell.
285
00:21:24,759 --> 00:21:26,559
You were a friend of the professor?
286
00:21:26,711 --> 00:21:30,791
No, not exactly. I'm a friend of his secretaries. We were a little worried about him.
287
00:21:31,271 --> 00:21:33,862
Yeah, what are you worried about?
288
00:21:34,359 --> 00:21:35,079
Thank you.
289
00:21:35,079 --> 00:21:37,220
Can't I talk to the professor?
290
00:21:40,359 --> 00:21:41,799
What are you doing in there?
291
00:21:41,799 --> 00:21:46,119
Yeah, I think you're sticking your nose in where it don't belong. You and that broad are gonna get yourself in trouble.
292
00:21:46,599 --> 00:21:48,519
In fact, she's already in trouble.
293
00:21:49,000 --> 00:21:51,880
You're the one who's in trouble, mister. Re not me.
294
00:21:51,880 --> 00:21:53,059
Get rid of this bomb.
295
00:21:55,000 --> 00:21:55,480
What?
296
00:21:55,480 --> 00:21:56,440
What are you doing?
297
00:21:56,920 --> 00:21:57,880
Hey!
298
00:21:58,359 --> 00:22:00,549
Listen, you big lomox, let me go!
299
00:22:00,728 --> 00:22:01,448
WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU
300
00:22:01,448 --> 00:22:03,367
Crazy is the buttons.
301
00:22:03,367 --> 00:22:04,807
What the hell's the matter with you?
302
00:22:05,288 --> 00:22:09,607
All right, listen, Buster, you're in trouble. And I mean big trouble because I'm reporting you.
303
00:22:12,279 --> 00:22:18,039
Can't be serious. Wait a minute. All right, enough's enough. They wanna if you're willing to figure it out. I don't believe this! Are you kidding?
304
00:22:18,519 --> 00:22:24,740
I just love that Gene Wowder's characters live in this little like protective bubble where they don't realize bad things are about to happen to them.
305
00:22:24,887 --> 00:22:33,768
But in this character, bad things do happen to him. And then he's just like still in a protective bubble where he thinks, I live in a society, damn it. We're good people.
306
00:22:33,768 --> 00:22:34,728
Ha ha ha.
307
00:22:34,728 --> 00:22:38,657
Yeah, it's it's maybe bad stuff's happening now, but it'll get fixed.
308
00:22:40,903 --> 00:22:54,104
With that he is thrown off of the train and cannot get back once up and finds his way walking along the tracks until he crosses a rock formation, and finds a farm or homestead in this desert, awful, arid land, and then the water, and the case.
309
00:22:56,759 --> 00:22:57,240
Well.
310
00:22:57,720 --> 00:23:00,230
That's you, Peppy. You're in one heap of trouble.
311
00:23:00,567 --> 00:23:02,248
No, it's not Peppy.
312
00:23:02,248 --> 00:23:03,688
¡Where's Pepe?!
313
00:23:03,688 --> 00:23:05,607
I don't know. My name is George
314
00:23:06,087 --> 00:23:08,488
He's gone off again with that no account.
315
00:23:11,079 --> 00:23:14,680
Smoke a little weed and the next thing you know, they're off buzzing the creepy.
316
00:23:15,160 --> 00:23:16,119
Excuse me.
317
00:23:16,119 --> 00:23:17,559
30 years ago.
318
00:23:17,559 --> 00:23:19,910
Excuse me, do you think I could use your telephone?
319
00:23:21,096 --> 00:23:22,056
Yes.
320
00:23:22,056 --> 00:23:23,496
You ain't from around here, are you?
321
00:23:23,976 --> 00:23:28,296
No, I'm lost. I'm not lost, but I was thrown off of the silver streak.
322
00:23:28,296 --> 00:23:32,471
Matter of fact. Tell me, is there a woman in this?
323
00:23:33,031 --> 00:23:34,231
Well there's a girl.
324
00:23:34,231 --> 00:23:36,152
I knew it.
325
00:23:36,152 --> 00:23:45,367
No, no, no. It's nothing to do with what you're thinking. Uh actually she's in a great deal of danger. That's why I have to use your telephone so I can call the police and have those people who threw me off the train arrested.
326
00:23:45,367 --> 00:23:47,288
Well, it sounds like you're in an awful hurry.
327
00:23:47,288 --> 00:23:49,208
I am. That's what I'm trying to tell you.
328
00:23:49,208 --> 00:23:53,432
Suits me just fine, cause I'm running a little bit late myself. Uh-huh. Tell you what, Steve.
329
00:23:53,432 --> 00:23:55,832
George. George Caldwell.
330
00:23:55,832 --> 00:23:56,311
Read a book.
331
00:23:56,311 --> 00:23:57,541
How do you do?
332
00:23:57,799 --> 00:24:02,839
If you'll finish milking old Harriet over there, I'll go in and change and you can ride into town with me.
333
00:24:02,839 --> 00:24:03,319
Great.
334
00:24:03,319 --> 00:24:03,799
Let's go.
335
00:24:03,799 --> 00:24:04,759
There's a good friend of mine.
336
00:24:04,759 --> 00:24:07,160
Wonderful. Just tell me what I have to do.
337
00:24:07,160 --> 00:24:08,599
Well you just take this bucket?
338
00:24:08,599 --> 00:24:09,119
Milk.
339
00:24:09,480 --> 00:24:12,119
Milk her? I've never milked a cow before.
340
00:24:12,599 --> 00:24:17,410
What the gas, Steve. You're a grown man. I'm sure you've had some similar experience.
341
00:24:17,928 --> 00:24:19,607
Ha ha ha.
342
00:24:19,607 --> 00:24:24,519
Look, you just sit down, take a tit in each hand and let nature take its course.
343
00:24:24,519 --> 00:24:25,480
Right.
344
00:24:25,480 --> 00:24:29,799
These cows are so fun It's like tapping a trip valve on Niagara Farm.
345
00:24:29,799 --> 00:24:30,279
Oh.
346
00:24:30,279 --> 00:24:30,759
Yeah.
347
00:24:30,759 --> 00:24:32,680
Altyazı M.K.
348
00:24:32,680 --> 00:24:34,599
All right. I'll do my best.
349
00:24:43,279 --> 00:24:43,980
Yeah.
350
00:24:44,480 --> 00:24:46,880
Just be nice, be nice.
351
00:24:49,759 --> 00:24:50,480
감사합니다.
352
00:24:52,880 --> 00:24:54,539
You've got four of them.
353
00:24:56,720 --> 00:24:59,599
Come on, Harriet. Come on. Give me a break.
354
00:25:01,279 --> 00:25:08,480
The bit about him milking the cow and the woman turning out to be an insane bush pilot was pretty fucking funny, too. I really enjoyed that part.
355
00:25:08,480 --> 00:25:09,920
Yeah, that's hilarious.
356
00:25:09,920 --> 00:25:10,700
Yeah.
357
00:25:10,736 --> 00:25:18,400
They formulate a plan to get to a city before the silver streak does and get the law involved at its next stop.
358
00:25:18,864 --> 00:25:31,839
And even see the train on the way there flying over top of it. But the Bush pilot lady decides to take a detour and scare the shit out of a bunch of sheep just because she is bored and fucking cruel. And the film cuts from that.
359
00:25:32,112 --> 00:25:44,576
to them pulling up just in time for George to run his ass off and get back onto the caboose of the train by the help of a bunch of partying folks having a great time and not really thinking about what they were doing, helping a guy jump on a train.
360
00:25:46,432 --> 00:25:47,872
And then it cuts from that to him.
361
00:25:47,872 --> 00:25:49,791
What might you have to think about that?
362
00:25:50,528 --> 00:26:02,240
And it cuts from that to him making his way into a dining car and finding Hilly with another man, only to run into the still extremely sleazy Ned Beatty and starting up the conversation that is ours.
363
00:26:04,640 --> 00:26:07,039
I ask you to join me for breakfast. This is lunch.
364
00:26:08,960 --> 00:26:09,440
Last track.
365
00:26:13,279 --> 00:26:14,240
What are you doing back there?
366
00:26:14,720 --> 00:26:16,160
Getting a last.
367
00:26:16,976 --> 00:26:19,135
No, I was squeezing tits.
368
00:26:19,135 --> 00:26:20,576
Yeah.
369
00:26:22,976 --> 00:26:26,336
Kinda worked up a sweat too, didn't you, Arnie, Pastor?
370
00:26:26,816 --> 00:26:27,776
What do you expect?
371
00:26:30,703 --> 00:26:32,864
And he's very heavy competition.
372
00:26:32,864 --> 00:26:33,903
You know him?
373
00:26:34,640 --> 00:26:40,640
Doesn't everybody know him? That's Roger Devereaux. He's Chicago's own uh jet setter.
374
00:26:40,640 --> 00:26:41,119
Ha ha.
375
00:26:41,119 --> 00:26:45,930
I mean you know he's a big cheese on the art institute, something like that. Like I say, very heavy competition.
376
00:26:47,296 --> 00:26:48,976
Are you gonna take him on?
377
00:26:48,976 --> 00:26:50,895
감사합니다.
378
00:26:57,920 --> 00:26:59,839
Are you alright?
379
00:27:15,680 --> 00:27:18,559
Last time I saw you you were gonna go visit the professor.
380
00:27:19,039 --> 00:27:21,680
Kelly, the professor is dead.
381
00:27:21,680 --> 00:27:22,640
George.
382
00:27:22,640 --> 00:27:31,980
Listen to me. I went to his room this morning and he wasn't there. Two dumb thugs were looking through his things. They pushed me out of his room and threw me off the train.
383
00:27:33,440 --> 00:27:42,559
The point is they were searching for something, I don't know what, but they've killed the professor for it, and now I'm positive they're gonna go after you. We've gotta get off the train and contact the police.
384
00:27:42,559 --> 00:27:44,480
George, you've got it all mixed up.
385
00:27:44,480 --> 00:27:45,740
I don't have it mixed up.
386
00:27:46,336 --> 00:27:48,319
I'm just worried about you.
387
00:27:51,759 --> 00:27:55,872
Hello, Roger. Uh this is my friend George Caldwell, Roger Deverell.
388
00:27:56,847 --> 00:27:59,968
George has just been telling me how he'd been thrown off the train.
389
00:27:59,968 --> 00:28:02,367
Oh you're the one. I'm so pleased to see you.
390
00:28:02,367 --> 00:28:03,807
Yes, I'm fine.
391
00:28:03,807 --> 00:28:16,544
Oh that's good news. As soon as I was told, I contacted the lease in Albuquerque and told them to spare no expense to make sure he was safe. Reese, he's like a child, got off the train and tried to find you, say he was sorry. How did you get back on?
392
00:28:16,544 --> 00:28:17,503
Yeah.
393
00:28:17,503 --> 00:28:22,304
He's the one that threw you off.
394
00:28:22,304 --> 00:28:22,784
should work.
395
00:28:22,784 --> 00:28:25,183
I do remember, but what has he got to do with you?
396
00:28:25,183 --> 00:28:33,632
Works for me, he's my chauffeur, not very bright and extremely loyal. Naturally, I assume total responsibility for all his actions and will pay for any damages.
397
00:28:33,632 --> 00:28:35,071
And what about that other fellow?
398
00:28:35,071 --> 00:28:37,951
Mm. I met another man this morning. Does he work for you too?
399
00:28:37,951 --> 00:28:39,021
Oh yeah, yes of course I
400
00:28:39,311 --> 00:28:53,375
y you don't know the entire story, do you? Early this morning I was having breakfast with Professor Schreiner, and he wanted to show me some important papers connected with his book, but unfortunately they were missing. So we
401
00:28:53,647 --> 00:29:04,928
searched his compartment twice, and eventually rediscovered them in his trunk in the baggage room. It was something of an upset, but if you renew the professor you'll know he's slightly absent minded.
402
00:29:04,928 --> 00:29:10,688
Mr Devereux, I'm very confused. I don't understand how you could have had breakfast with Professor Schreiner this morning.
403
00:29:10,688 --> 00:29:12,528
George thinks the professor's been murdered.
404
00:29:13,440 --> 00:29:14,880
That's right, last night.
405
00:29:14,880 --> 00:29:16,319
That's extraordinary. Why should you think that?
406
00:29:16,319 --> 00:29:21,119
Because I saw him fall off the roof of this train just outside this window. He was shot in the head.
407
00:29:21,599 --> 00:29:23,519
You were in this compartment.
408
00:29:23,519 --> 00:29:25,200
I was lying right here.
409
00:29:27,327 --> 00:29:31,208
He'd have to go back to Mike and Bob and straighten it out. He doesn't know what he's doing.
410
00:29:32,016 --> 00:29:32,736
Europe?
411
00:29:32,736 --> 00:29:33,215
시청해주셔서 감사합니다.
412
00:29:33,215 --> 00:29:37,536
Professor Schreiner, Mrwell
413
00:29:39,344 --> 00:29:40,064
Thank you.
414
00:29:42,223 --> 00:29:46,784
Mr. Colwell is the man that Reese inadvertently threw off the track.
415
00:29:46,784 --> 00:29:47,263
Okay.
416
00:29:47,743 --> 00:29:52,263
Oh yes, that stupid person. I do hope you weren't hurt.
417
00:29:53,104 --> 00:29:55,023
No, no, I'm alright.
418
00:29:55,023 --> 00:30:01,983
I suppose I'm to blame for this morning's fracas, after all, none of this would have happened if I hadn't displaced the rembrant.
419
00:30:02,463 --> 00:30:02,943
Thank you.
420
00:30:02,943 --> 00:30:03,213
What?
421
00:30:04,096 --> 00:30:07,695
Doesn't matter. I'm so glad that you're all right and managed to get back on the train.
422
00:30:08,175 --> 00:30:10,375
Professor, I put back as much I put back
423
00:30:11,119 --> 00:30:12,319
Hey!How'd you get here?
424
00:30:12,319 --> 00:30:23,872
Uh Mr Colwell, allow me to introduce an associate of mine, Mr Whiny. If an apology is due, I'm sure that he'd be prepared to make it. It's a pity that Reese is not here to do the same.
425
00:30:23,872 --> 00:30:29,087
Grease that moron. It was all his fault. I was looking for the papers. I never touched you, did I? No?
426
00:30:29,087 --> 00:30:30,048
No, see?
427
00:30:30,048 --> 00:30:34,127
It's been uh very hectic for me. I think I'll have a scotch and lie down.
428
00:30:34,847 --> 00:30:36,528
I don't should use my company.
429
00:30:36,528 --> 00:30:37,738
Thank you.
430
00:30:38,192 --> 00:30:46,592
Hilly, will you help him with that mess? Mr Caldwell, it's been nice meeting you. I hope the rest of the trip for both of us is a little less exhilarating.
431
00:30:46,592 --> 00:30:47,692
Let's hope so.
432
00:30:50,448 --> 00:30:53,567
I think I've made a silly fool of myself this moment.
433
00:30:55,008 --> 00:31:07,776
No, no, I did. I I was just sticking my nose into a lot of stuff that's none of my business and coming up with some crazy ideas. You were right. I guess I was imagining a lot of things last night. Probably the champagne. George.
434
00:31:09,087 --> 00:31:09,807
Yeah.
435
00:31:11,008 --> 00:31:11,488
Your chat.
436
00:31:11,488 --> 00:31:12,448
That's all right.
437
00:31:13,695 --> 00:31:18,256
We get to Chicago tomorrow and I did come on this trip to do some work, so I'll say goodbye.
438
00:31:18,256 --> 00:31:21,615
By my conclusion, possibly join us for dinner this evening.
439
00:31:21,615 --> 00:31:22,096
Yes.
440
00:31:22,096 --> 00:31:22,576
Two.
441
00:31:22,576 --> 00:31:23,056
Thanks.
442
00:31:23,056 --> 00:31:25,215
No. I think I'll just eat my room.
443
00:31:27,440 --> 00:31:32,000
This latch seems to be stuck. I'll get the porter to fix it right away.
444
00:31:35,359 --> 00:31:44,960
And at the end of that clip, Hilly is full on face slapped, and that takes us past the first third of the film. We finally made it to the first third of the film, Matt.
445
00:31:45,680 --> 00:31:46,400
Woo!
446
00:31:47,791 --> 00:31:50,912
It takes a little bit to get there.
447
00:31:50,912 --> 00:31:51,872
But I love the
448
00:31:52,352 --> 00:31:54,751
It was grabbing tits all day. That was fucking hilarious.
449
00:31:54,751 --> 00:31:59,912
And he actually was because it was a cow that he was milking. So yes, he was grabbing tits.
450
00:32:00,144 --> 00:32:02,784
But the th then you're a sexy fellow, aren't you?
451
00:32:03,855 --> 00:32:12,736
Yeah, Ned Beatty's a real sleaze bag in this. And I don't buy the explanation at all that the guy in the car is trying to say, even before he slaps Hilly in the face.
452
00:32:12,688 --> 00:32:22,528
Like you can tell something's up and it's only because what's his face just wants everything to be okay. George, he just wants everything to be okay. He just wants to believe that, you know, these people aren't
453
00:32:22,528 --> 00:32:23,488
Yeah, you just...
454
00:32:23,488 --> 00:32:23,968
Yeah.
455
00:32:24,448 --> 00:32:25,768
Wants everything to be just fine.
456
00:32:26,127 --> 00:32:27,807
Right.
457
00:32:27,807 --> 00:32:30,208
Why is it everyone's a good person? Yeah.
458
00:32:30,208 --> 00:32:38,367
Yeah, and he just he just kinda goes along and it's just it doesn't quite work like as a believable thing, but it's also a comedy, so I'm just gonna chill the fuck out and shut the fuck.
459
00:32:38,367 --> 00:32:45,248
Yeah, uh again, these are slapstick comedies that uh you've got to suspend your belief in things.
460
00:32:45,743 --> 00:32:52,223
Yeah, and this is also kind of an action comedy where they take the disaster film of the time and make sort of a comedic parody.
461
00:32:52,223 --> 00:33:06,528
comedies you can in action comedies you have to suspend belief even more because the then they're really gonna get wacky because or else you're just an action film. Like you know so the action has to be real slapstick or else you are just a regular a action film.
462
00:33:06,528 --> 00:33:16,672
Yeah, but when we actually get into the action, the s the humor does stop and it does get scary, especially some of the stunts. There's some really crazy cool fucking shit in this. Like very cool shit in this.
463
00:33:16,672 --> 00:33:24,231
That kinda reminds me of uh Another Gene Wilder flick the Willy Wonka, which is, you know, supposed to be a comedy but gets dark pretty quickly.
464
00:33:24,624 --> 00:33:25,344
Yeah, there's nothing.
465
00:33:25,344 --> 00:33:26,304
Yeah.
466
00:33:26,304 --> 00:33:30,624
And if they ain't dead, they're very unhappy. Very, very much.
467
00:33:31,104 --> 00:33:31,584
Ha ha.
468
00:33:31,584 --> 00:33:37,344
The d it reminds the the Ted Lasso scene where he's like, I'm sorry to tell you, Rebecca, those children are dead.
469
00:33:38,895 --> 00:33:41,728
You can call an anti-lasso anytime. I mean, why don't we move on?
470
00:33:41,935 --> 00:33:42,655
Yeah.
471
00:33:42,655 --> 00:33:43,566
All right.
472
00:33:43,728 --> 00:33:54,943
All right, so the middle third starts with George drinking many minis and trying to balance his glass on the Tower of Empties he is building, and Ned Beatty swings in for our seventh.
473
00:33:55,104 --> 00:33:56,784
What are you up to there, lover boy?
474
00:33:58,223 --> 00:33:59,183
Bob sweet.
475
00:34:03,503 --> 00:34:04,463
I'm alright.
476
00:34:04,463 --> 00:34:08,784
Better yet, what are you? A miniature alcoholic.
477
00:34:09,264 --> 00:34:14,182
Did you know that the Blanard Tunnel was the highest point on this line?
478
00:34:15,623 --> 00:34:18,983
Did you know that when we reach it I intend to be higher?
479
00:34:20,422 --> 00:34:22,342
Just don't fall off, huh?
480
00:34:22,822 --> 00:34:26,302
I've left this train once already. That's enough.
481
00:34:29,358 --> 00:34:30,798
Last night.
482
00:34:31,759 --> 00:34:33,898
Just as I was about to
483
00:34:34,880 --> 00:34:40,880
Kiss my beautiful blonde. I saw her boss hanging outside the window.
484
00:34:44,239 --> 00:34:46,639
I think that's the fall.
485
00:34:47,599 --> 00:34:49,039
It was shot in the head.
486
00:34:49,748 --> 00:34:50,358
Thank you.
487
00:34:51,318 --> 00:34:53,239
I I knew that I had been drinking.
488
00:34:53,719 --> 00:34:58,998
So I went to see the professor this morning, and I found this little weasel of a guy in his room.
489
00:35:03,576 --> 00:35:06,215
Oh I I know, I I just know. Go on, go on.
490
00:35:07,175 --> 00:35:16,295
Well, then this this huge mountain with a gold mine stuck in his gums picked me up And threw me off the train.
491
00:35:17,255 --> 00:35:19,295
Well y but you never saw the professor, huh?
492
00:35:19,295 --> 00:35:22,175
No, I saw him. I saw him this afternoon.
493
00:35:23,135 --> 00:35:24,096
In Hilly's compartment.
494
00:35:25,056 --> 00:35:28,615
See the man I saw last night was a hallucination.
495
00:35:31,280 --> 00:35:32,239
Oh.
496
00:35:32,239 --> 00:35:35,119
The the professor, you know that you you saw this afternoon.
497
00:35:35,119 --> 00:35:36,079
his picture.
498
00:35:38,960 --> 00:35:40,619
Why are you asking me all these questions?
499
00:35:41,159 --> 00:35:43,320
Did he say anything?
500
00:35:43,320 --> 00:35:46,420
Nothing, nothing. He was tired and wanted to have a scotch.
501
00:35:47,400 --> 00:35:49,079
You don't have any ice in your chase.
502
00:35:49,559 --> 00:35:50,260
Scotch.
503
00:35:52,920 --> 00:35:57,239
See you didn't have a The professor's been murdered.
504
00:35:57,719 --> 00:36:00,119
Guy you saw this air room is a fake.
505
00:36:01,079 --> 00:36:02,039
Oh no.
506
00:36:03,000 --> 00:36:05,400
Listen, I talked to the Garrilla professor last night.
507
00:36:06,840 --> 00:36:12,239
He didn't want to have anything to do with Mr. Devereaux. Besides that, he is a health nut. Doesn't touch alcohol.
508
00:36:13,199 --> 00:36:16,079
Bobby, just because you're a vitamin salesman?
509
00:36:16,079 --> 00:36:18,099
My name is Stevens. I'm a federal agent.
510
00:36:21,719 --> 00:36:24,340
We've been working on this case for two and a half years.
511
00:36:25,559 --> 00:36:26,039
Oh
512
00:36:26,039 --> 00:36:27,960
What are you tailing the professor for?
513
00:36:27,960 --> 00:36:30,840
I am not tailing the professor. I am tailing Devereaux.
514
00:36:33,719 --> 00:36:34,679
But what about it?
515
00:36:35,639 --> 00:36:39,699
Don't worry about it. They're not gonna kill her until we get to Chicago. I don't think they'll try to kill you till then.
516
00:36:43,320 --> 00:36:47,639
Never old span must have brought the professor back here after nine o'clock last night.
517
00:36:47,639 --> 00:36:48,599
How do you say that?
518
00:36:49,079 --> 00:36:51,000
Of course I left him at nine o'clock.
519
00:36:51,480 --> 00:36:55,320
And because this is the easiest access to the room, somehow you must have escaped.
520
00:36:55,800 --> 00:36:58,800
He got out to the splatter, then ran back down the tree.
521
00:37:02,760 --> 00:37:03,960
You're not going.
522
00:37:08,760 --> 00:37:11,639
Come on up and keep a lookout, will ya?
523
00:37:12,599 --> 00:37:14,039
Alright, I'll try.
524
00:37:14,039 --> 00:37:21,088
And at the end of the clip, a Ned Bay shaped stunt man climbs on top of a moving train and runs along the top of it.
525
00:37:21,632 --> 00:37:30,032
To retrieve a piece of tweed that is proof the professor was killed, and we come back inside for more dialogue, which is our
526
00:37:32,431 --> 00:37:34,422
Then I was right. I did see.
527
00:37:35,400 --> 00:37:43,320
I bet Devereux already got the body picked up and placed in Cold Stories someplace. Too bad he was a sweet old guy.
528
00:37:43,800 --> 00:37:46,199
But why did he have to kill the professor?
529
00:37:46,679 --> 00:37:50,039
He was going to be embarrassed by the findings in the professor's book.
530
00:37:50,400 --> 00:38:02,760
Two of the institute's rim branch, both bought and authenticated by Devereaux, were going to be proved forgeries. The professor had the proof in his possession. I asked him last night, what was the proof?
531
00:38:03,239 --> 00:38:06,360
He told me I was going to have to wait.
532
00:38:06,360 --> 00:38:07,320
For his lecture.
533
00:38:07,320 --> 00:38:08,760
And Deborah wasn't going to wait.
534
00:38:10,199 --> 00:38:15,000
I think the idea was to kidnap the professor, then kill him.
535
00:38:15,480 --> 00:38:22,800
And then, you know, substitute some phony look-alike who would bust the lecture and discredit the book. We've got to find the proof.
536
00:38:23,760 --> 00:38:32,400
They have the proof. They have it. That's what Whiney and everyone were looking for this morning, the Rembrandt letters. They said that they found them in the professor's trunk.
537
00:38:32,400 --> 00:38:43,559
They're lying. That's the first place they would have looked before they started turning his room upside down. No. The professor hid them someplace, somewhere simple. As a precaution, we found out that Devereaux was on the track.
538
00:38:44,039 --> 00:38:46,920
My god, I know where they are! Come on! Come on!
539
00:38:48,360 --> 00:38:49,800
The Rembrandt letters.
540
00:38:50,280 --> 00:38:55,559
Holy Toledo, I think you found it. This is the genuine article, penned by the old boy himself, huh?
541
00:39:00,648 --> 00:39:09,527
My guess is that there's a fact, there's some kind of a date in all this. It proves it charges uh Professor Mason's book. Push the button for the porter, will you? I want to get the conductor to radio ahead to the next town.
542
00:39:10,487 --> 00:39:13,847
It's difficult to believe that a man was killed over those.
543
00:39:13,847 --> 00:39:25,248
This is the tip of an iceberg. You know that plane crash in Cologne, Germany last year? That was a Deferro special. A hundred people got killed in that one. It was just to cover up his involvement in the Metropolitan Gallery scandal.
544
00:39:26,208 --> 00:39:32,992
We knew he was responsible. We couldn't pin it on him. These letters are gonna blow his multimillion dollar operation in art sky-high.
545
00:39:32,992 --> 00:39:36,831
That's why she was so distant. They must have had her in a corner.
546
00:39:36,831 --> 00:39:41,512
I want you to remember that your neck is on the line too. You already told him you saw the real professor shot.
547
00:39:41,695 --> 00:39:43,856
Yeah, I did. So what do I do now?
548
00:39:44,335 --> 00:39:48,175
Be responsible for Hilly. Get her off the train into safety. I'm gonna take care of Mr. Devereaux.
549
00:39:48,175 --> 00:39:49,135
Here comes the tongue.
550
00:39:49,135 --> 00:39:52,016
We'll make our move when the train gets to Dodge City tonight.
551
00:39:52,976 --> 00:39:56,496
It's appropriate, huh? Gun smoke at the OK Corral?
552
00:40:01,800 --> 00:40:03,000
Спасибо.
553
00:40:08,519 --> 00:40:11,880
Get my gun, take my gun, take my gun, go on.
554
00:40:11,880 --> 00:40:12,360
Thank you.
555
00:40:12,360 --> 00:40:14,280
Get the girl off the train, okay?
556
00:40:16,679 --> 00:40:19,128
You know I got a funny feeling this bullet was meant for you?
557
00:40:21,255 --> 00:40:23,463
That man's dead. Holy.
558
00:40:23,463 --> 00:40:24,503
Mola, you shot him!
559
00:40:24,648 --> 00:40:27,768
I d no. You you No, wait a minute.
560
00:40:27,768 --> 00:40:30,168
It's been shot! It's been shot!
561
00:40:33,527 --> 00:40:34,487
I didn't-
562
00:40:36,887 --> 00:40:37,847
Thank you.
563
00:40:37,847 --> 00:40:38,807
Hi.
564
00:40:38,807 --> 00:40:39,518
Ευχαριστώ.
565
00:40:41,088 --> 00:40:54,157
With that, a chase ensues and George is now on the hook for a murder he did not commit and is running for his life from a Jaws-looking Richard Gill. George barricades himself in what looks like a sort of freight car area.
566
00:40:54,255 --> 00:41:08,992
And Jaws starts to break in as George loses his gun while trying to open an outer door, only to grab a harpoon gun or something and hide, just as Jaws comes in looking for him. We get more of a man running on top of a train and
567
00:41:08,976 --> 00:41:22,143
As Jaws looks for George, and George sneaks his way up with a harpoon gun, gets the drop on Jaws, and nails him in the chest before tossing the gun off of the train in disgust for having to have had to kill someone.
568
00:41:22,159 --> 00:41:29,632
George is clipped by a surprise marker sign and knocked off of the train in what looks like the Sierra Mountains.
569
00:41:29,615 --> 00:41:39,376
And has to walk his way into civilization again and finally get a ride into town after trying to hitchhike with like fifty fucking people. He finds a sheriff.
570
00:41:39,407 --> 00:41:48,288
He gets inside and is immediately startled by the sounds of a gunfight on the TV. He's a bit frazzled after the fight and someone trying to kill him multiple times.
571
00:41:48,288 --> 00:41:51,208
Yeah, which is understandable.
572
00:41:51,615 --> 00:41:55,559
And he tries to get to the sheriff's attention and that starts our nightclip.
573
00:42:04,679 --> 00:42:06,119
Now what can I do for you?
574
00:42:07,559 --> 00:42:08,039
All right.
575
00:42:08,519 --> 00:42:14,311
A murder. A man's been shot on the silver streak, and there's a girl who's in great danger. We have to stop the train.
576
00:42:14,311 --> 00:42:16,231
Now wait a second. You say a man's been shot?
577
00:42:16,231 --> 00:42:16,711
Yes.
578
00:42:16,711 --> 00:42:25,512
Jump on Gemini. We've never had a murder before. Uh, sit down. Have a cup of coffee. Uh, help yourself. Uh, now uh, let's get back.
579
00:42:25,512 --> 00:42:27,911
감사합니다.
580
00:42:27,911 --> 00:42:29,351
Well, what did you say your name was?
581
00:42:29,351 --> 00:42:32,342
Caldwell. George Caldwell. I'm from Los Angeles.
582
00:42:33,815 --> 00:42:35,016
Yeah.
583
00:42:35,016 --> 00:42:35,976
Okay.
584
00:42:35,976 --> 00:42:36,695
Yeah.
585
00:42:37,896 --> 00:42:39,335
Actually there were two.
586
00:42:39,815 --> 00:42:40,295
Okay.
587
00:42:40,295 --> 00:42:43,896
Yes. The first was Bob Sweet. He was a federal undercover agent.
588
00:42:45,704 --> 00:42:53,864
Yes. And the second was a man by the name of Reese. I shot him. You No, because you thought sweet was me.
589
00:42:53,864 --> 00:42:55,784
Reese shot sweeten, you shot Reese, right?
590
00:42:55,784 --> 00:42:56,884
With a spear gun.
591
00:42:57,992 --> 00:43:04,501
The what? You see, I took Sweet's gun but I dropped it, so I had to use a spear gun. Uh don't you can't we call someone?
592
00:43:04,791 --> 00:43:07,400
W wait a second. You say you shot Reese with a spear? Yes.
593
00:43:07,447 --> 00:43:08,648
He was going to shoot me.
594
00:43:08,648 --> 00:43:09,608
With a spear?
595
00:43:09,608 --> 00:43:12,007
Oh, with a bullet. He shot the professor. Who shot the professor?
596
00:43:12,007 --> 00:43:15,847
The professor. Reese. Reese shot sweet. And Okay.
597
00:43:15,847 --> 00:43:22,152
Oh, th I'm sorry, I forgot. Uh the professor was shot last night. Uh can't we just do all of this later?
598
00:43:22,152 --> 00:43:23,112
Was there anyone else?
599
00:43:23,112 --> 00:43:24,072
Anyone else what?
600
00:43:24,072 --> 00:43:25,992
A shot No no
601
00:43:25,992 --> 00:43:36,248
But there will be soon if we don't stop the train. Please, just pick up the phone and call your superiors. Tell them I have the Rembrandt letters. That's why the professor was shot.
602
00:43:36,248 --> 00:43:38,168
See with the feds? Oh, this guy Rembrandt.
603
00:43:38,168 --> 00:43:39,128
Rembrandt is dead.
604
00:43:39,128 --> 00:43:46,898
Dead. Dead, that makes four. Listen, fella, you sure you're not making this up as you go along? I'm an officer of the law, and I got a lot better things to do than listen to that kind of funny.
605
00:43:47,880 --> 00:43:53,880
That's my hotline. Now you take the time to get your facts straight, because when I come back, I want your answers clear.
606
00:43:55,559 --> 00:43:57,960
And you can start with who shot Ribra.
607
00:44:00,599 --> 00:44:01,079
Thank you.
608
00:44:01,079 --> 00:44:03,219
Yeah, this is Chauncey. Noose.
609
00:44:08,039 --> 00:44:17,400
Sittin' right here in my office. That's right. Came in here spouting some bull about shooting some people on the train, wanted to confess. I knew he was a loony right off. Oh yeah.
610
00:44:17,911 --> 00:44:19,112
Don't you worry, cried.
611
00:44:19,112 --> 00:44:20,072
I've handled no disp-
612
00:44:22,472 --> 00:44:26,791
Sheriff, I'm sorry. I guess I was a little rattled before. It must have sounded crazy to you.
613
00:44:26,791 --> 00:44:32,360
Oh, that's perfectly all right, Mr. Caldwell. Uh that is what you said your name was, uh didn't you? George Caldwell?
614
00:44:32,360 --> 00:44:39,784
Yeah. Um I really think that we ought to get on the phone to Washington. I'm sure if they heard what I have to say, they would do something about stopping the train.
615
00:44:39,784 --> 00:44:45,063
Oh yeah. Them boys in Washington, they're pretty smart, all right. You ever watch them on TV? Bam bam.
616
00:44:45,063 --> 00:44:54,632
Sheriff, listen to me. They know all about Swede and Devereaux. I figured that the Silver Streak should be in Kansas in an hour. We could stop the train at Scott City or maybe Dodge.
617
00:44:54,632 --> 00:44:55,592
All right, mister
618
00:44:55,592 --> 00:44:56,072
Just kidding.
619
00:45:00,135 --> 00:45:08,295
Don't shoot, you stupid ignorant son of a bitch, dumb bastard. Jesus Christ, I've met some dumb bastards in my time, but you outdo them all.
620
00:45:08,295 --> 00:45:09,175
Get over there!
621
00:45:09,527 --> 00:45:16,007
What the hell do you think I'm doing? I come here to help a girl who may be killed at any minute. You're playing cops and robbers like you're on television.
622
00:45:16,007 --> 00:45:18,407
There ain't no way you're ever gonna get away with this. Get away.
623
00:45:18,407 --> 00:45:19,847
Pick up the phone.
624
00:45:20,760 --> 00:45:21,480
We know who you are.
625
00:45:21,480 --> 00:45:22,440
What are you talking?
626
00:45:22,440 --> 00:45:25,800
That was the county sheriff on the hotline, they're coming to get you you ain't got a chance.
627
00:45:25,800 --> 00:45:27,239
Get me for what?
628
00:45:27,239 --> 00:45:29,159
Killing a vitamin salesman on a
629
00:45:29,159 --> 00:45:33,911
He was no vitamin salesman. I told you he was a federal agent. They should know that.
630
00:45:33,911 --> 00:45:40,152
Look if you'll if you'll just put down that gun and come along quietly, you're outnumbered. There ain't no way you're ever gonna escape.
631
00:45:40,152 --> 00:45:41,351
What is that?
632
00:45:41,831 --> 00:45:43,271
That's my deputy.
633
00:45:43,751 --> 00:45:44,501
Get out.
634
00:45:51,239 --> 00:45:52,199
Keep your hands down.
635
00:45:55,800 --> 00:45:56,760
He's got your
636
00:45:56,760 --> 00:45:59,639
Gun. Get your hands up. Get against the wall. Keep your hands up.
637
00:46:01,559 --> 00:46:02,760
Get back, get back!
638
00:46:03,239 --> 00:46:04,440
Keep those hands up!
639
00:46:04,440 --> 00:46:05,880
And go to rest until they hunt you down.
640
00:46:05,880 --> 00:46:08,019
Keep your hands up. Keep them up!
641
00:46:09,239 --> 00:46:10,199
Uncle Oliver?
642
00:46:10,679 --> 00:46:11,639
He's taking your call.
643
00:46:15,480 --> 00:46:16,920
Uncle Oliver?
644
00:46:17,400 --> 00:46:18,360
Whoa!
645
00:46:19,079 --> 00:46:21,719
One more word out of you, I gonna smash your mouth.
646
00:46:24,360 --> 00:46:27,719
JJ, I got bad news for you.
647
00:46:28,199 --> 00:46:29,559
Uh Caldwell's escape.
648
00:46:30,615 --> 00:46:37,447
Yeah, let's kn uh look, let's not go into that now. He's headed down three fifty, and we can stop him before he crosses state line. Right.
649
00:46:38,407 --> 00:46:47,668
The bit with trying to get to the gun is some seriously funny shit in that clip. That was really funny how they were doing that little dance. Yeah.
650
00:46:47,768 --> 00:46:56,168
And he thinks the cops just trying to help him'cause again he lives in that little bubble world where he just like thinks everything's gonna be okay and that he can trust people and it just doesn't work out.
651
00:46:56,920 --> 00:46:57,608
Ha ha
652
00:46:57,784 --> 00:47:12,791
Well, they cut from the end of the clip there to George driving like a man possessed to get to someone who will listen to him or to catch up with the train when he is shocked to find someone in the back of the car, which has some dialogue that you know goddamn well is going to be our Yeah.
653
00:47:12,791 --> 00:47:14,472
Stupid bastard.
654
00:47:19,320 --> 00:47:20,039
Who are you?
655
00:47:20,039 --> 00:47:20,519
Cool.
656
00:47:20,519 --> 00:47:25,800
I'm a thief, man. Take it easy. I ain't gonna freak you out no more. How about hand me them keys up there? I'd like to get these cops off.
657
00:47:25,800 --> 00:47:26,389
Oh sorry.
658
00:47:28,056 --> 00:47:30,920
It's real nice the way you handled yourself back there with Oliver. I was listening.
659
00:47:31,800 --> 00:47:33,000
What do you want you for anyway, man?
660
00:47:33,784 --> 00:47:36,423
Drop me off anywhere along in here, okay? I don't mess with the big
661
00:47:36,423 --> 00:47:48,403
662
00:47:49,032 --> 00:47:51,760
Better make a right up here and then a sharp left. I'm coming over.
663
00:47:57,519 --> 00:48:00,880
Jesus Christ, man! That's how you murdered your victims? Put them in a car and bounced them into-
664
00:48:00,880 --> 00:48:01,360
That's
665
00:48:01,360 --> 00:48:02,079
Sorry.
666
00:48:04,288 --> 00:48:06,543
Cruise one thing though. You don't do this for no living.
667
00:48:08,143 --> 00:48:08,414
All right.
668
00:48:08,800 --> 00:48:15,472
Just take it easy. I'm gonna take over in a minute. Don't make no more sudden moves, okay? I'm gonna check with headquarters and find out the game plan for tonight.
669
00:48:15,952 --> 00:48:21,231
is going to get back on that train. That means he has to cross into Kansas on one twenty, one hundred sixteen, or thirty.
670
00:48:21,231 --> 00:48:21,711
Three fifty.
671
00:48:21,711 --> 00:48:29,679
Now, I figure if we put stakeouts on all of those roads, we'll get that feller. The first should be at the junction uh Tobman's Road on 160.
672
00:48:30,639 --> 00:48:31,840
What are you slowing down for?
673
00:48:32,800 --> 00:48:36,639
So there's a truck up ahead. We demand. Let's turn on the side.
674
00:48:44,079 --> 00:48:45,760
Would you like to drive for a while?
675
00:48:46,239 --> 00:48:49,599
Car 36. Report your position. Do you read me?
676
00:48:49,599 --> 00:48:54,159
Car 36, Chauncey, we're moving in for the roadblock at the intersection of Tobins Road.
677
00:48:54,639 --> 00:48:55,710
And one sixteen.
678
00:48:56,335 --> 00:49:00,896
That's fine, fellas. Car forty five's already there. We're going in for a double block on all points.
679
00:49:01,376 --> 00:49:02,815
Yo double roadline, huh?
680
00:49:03,295 --> 00:49:06,655
That's all I wanted to know about it Fasten yourself in, partner
681
00:49:06,655 --> 00:49:07,096
Thank you.
682
00:49:08,016 --> 00:49:09,695
You ain't got nothing to worry about.
683
00:49:10,175 --> 00:49:12,576
I got the nerve and I got the touch.
684
00:49:13,056 --> 00:49:14,016
Better pull it tight.
685
00:49:14,496 --> 00:49:17,856
Real tight. Used to do this all the time back home in Texas.
686
00:49:17,856 --> 00:49:18,815
Do what?
687
00:49:21,215 --> 00:49:23,976
I hear something come, Chauncey, but I can't see anything yet.
688
00:49:23,976 --> 00:49:26,856
That's fine boys. We got them boxed in now.
689
00:49:26,856 --> 00:49:28,536
Aren't you gonna slow down?
690
00:49:28,536 --> 00:49:29,016
It's not out.
691
00:49:29,016 --> 00:49:30,456
Just open your eyes, man.
692
00:49:30,936 --> 00:49:32,376
make a criminal out of you yet.
693
00:49:33,815 --> 00:49:34,936
वालो पाचा!
694
00:49:39,519 --> 00:49:40,480
Oh car thirty six
695
00:49:40,480 --> 00:49:42,400
What the hell happened to you guys?
696
00:49:42,400 --> 00:49:44,800
There's a growing team I'll do!
697
00:49:45,280 --> 00:49:46,719
You wanna know what happened?
698
00:49:46,719 --> 00:49:47,199
What?
699
00:49:47,199 --> 00:49:48,639
Just whooped your ass!
700
00:49:50,079 --> 00:49:51,775
Ha ha ha!
701
00:49:51,775 --> 00:49:57,056
That break through the fucking barricade of the fucking tits. I love that in this film. I totally do. Yeah.
702
00:49:58,704 --> 00:50:10,623
They cut from this to the train as Hilly is being interrogated about George, and then they cut to George snooping around a car a lot at night before confronting Grover, the thief.
703
00:50:10,800 --> 00:50:21,599
looking to steal the fanciest car on the fucking lot. George takes off and the owner pulls a gun on Grover, dropping an N bomb as he does it, therefore not clip. George does
704
00:50:21,599 --> 00:50:22,510
Yeah.
705
00:50:22,735 --> 00:50:36,543
George does a flying body drop tackle out of nowhere, which was incredible. Great fucking stunt. Knocks the old man down, takes the shotgun out of his hand, and then the pair take off in the car, which leads to more dialogue and are
706
00:50:36,704 --> 00:50:37,423
Eleven.
707
00:50:37,423 --> 00:50:40,304
Man, that was beautiful. Ain't nobody gonna mess with you.
708
00:50:40,304 --> 00:50:41,264
Oh yeah.
709
00:50:41,264 --> 00:50:42,224
Wait a minute.
710
00:50:42,224 --> 00:50:43,664
Man, you're pretty bad old dude.
711
00:50:44,623 --> 00:50:47,023
All I want to do is get to Kansas City by the morning.
712
00:50:47,023 --> 00:50:52,664
Don't worry about that. With this honey, we're gonna be in Kansas City. We just get some sleep, man. So we're on our way to Kansas.
713
00:50:52,664 --> 00:50:56,023
This leads into a very long driving sequence.
714
00:50:56,503 --> 00:50:58,423
After the end of the clip there.
715
00:50:58,903 --> 00:50:59,864
They're going through a lot of.
716
00:51:00,711 --> 00:51:05,751
Yeah, it's through a lot of rolling plains of Kansas, but they are in a Jaguar, which is pretty fucking sweet.
717
00:51:06,231 --> 00:51:14,072
And at some point they kind of cross for sure. Yeah. At some point when they're cross dissolving, we see that George is now driving the car and Grover is finally sleeping.
718
00:51:14,056 --> 00:51:27,235
He wakes up with a smile and they talk about Hilly and how love affects them. They then cut from this to a train station and I'm really sorry about all this. I'm gonna try and cut out all of the negative stuff that I possibly can, but this is our
719
00:51:27,367 --> 00:51:28,056
Well, clear.
720
00:51:28,311 --> 00:51:34,311
passenger hall please report to the information desk in the north concourse.
721
00:51:34,791 --> 00:51:36,711
We've got ten minutes. I'll get the tickets. Just wait.
722
00:51:36,711 --> 00:51:37,192
Right here.
723
00:51:37,672 --> 00:51:39,592
Go get the tickets and it's goodbye, George.
724
00:51:39,592 --> 00:51:41,032
What are you talking about then?
725
00:51:41,512 --> 00:51:43,181
That's my driver's license picture.
726
00:51:43,791 --> 00:51:45,231
I hate that picture.
727
00:51:45,231 --> 00:51:47,632
Yeah, why don't you just shuffle right over there and tell him about it?
728
00:51:48,592 --> 00:51:49,552
Are they the police?
729
00:51:49,552 --> 00:51:50,512
No, they're from Travelers A.
730
00:51:50,512 --> 00:51:51,952
But how are we gonna get on the train?
731
00:51:51,952 --> 00:51:52,601
That's a good question.
732
00:51:53,327 --> 00:51:55,007
I still got the gun. Maybe I could start a diversion.
733
00:51:55,007 --> 00:51:56,447
Yeah, blow your brains up.
734
00:51:56,927 --> 00:51:58,847
Wait, I got an idea.
735
00:51:59,327 --> 00:52:00,288
You come with me.
736
00:52:01,248 --> 00:52:02,208
How much you want for that reading?
737
00:52:02,208 --> 00:52:02,688
Thank you.
738
00:52:02,688 --> 00:52:03,648
Three downs.
739
00:52:03,648 --> 00:52:05,088
We're taking. Pay the man.
740
00:52:05,088 --> 00:52:06,527
Watch pay to man.
741
00:52:06,527 --> 00:52:10,487
It's a bad hat you got on. Give me$5 for it. It's yours. Thank you. Pay demand.
742
00:52:10,967 --> 00:52:11,447
What?
743
00:52:11,447 --> 00:52:12,407
Be the man!
744
00:52:12,887 --> 00:52:14,327
And another five for the shoe bottle.
745
00:52:15,768 --> 00:52:17,208
Don't argue, just pay to me.
746
00:52:18,168 --> 00:52:20,088
$40. Thank you very much.
747
00:52:20,088 --> 00:52:23,197
Thank you. Uh see anything else you want? Just make me a little bit.
748
00:52:23,807 --> 00:52:24,768
Well thank you very much.
749
00:52:25,248 --> 00:52:26,208
How about a bridge?
750
00:52:27,648 --> 00:52:28,608
And win them all.
751
00:52:29,088 --> 00:52:32,527
That is the stupidest idea I have ever heard.
752
00:52:32,623 --> 00:52:33,824
You want to save that barrel right?
753
00:52:34,784 --> 00:52:36,704
Then it's this or with date.
754
00:52:38,623 --> 00:52:40,543
I can't pass for black.
755
00:52:40,543 --> 00:52:46,954
Who you telling? I didn't say I was gonna make you black. I said I was gonna get you on the train. Now we got to make them cops think you're black.
756
00:52:47,152 --> 00:52:48,831
It'll never work. Never.
757
00:52:48,831 --> 00:52:50,271
What are you afraid it won't come up?
758
00:52:50,751 --> 00:52:53,152
That's a good joke. That's humorous.
759
00:52:53,152 --> 00:52:53,632
Like that.
760
00:52:54,112 --> 00:52:55,072
May I speak?
761
00:52:55,072 --> 00:52:55,552
Thank you.
762
00:52:55,552 --> 00:52:56,512
This is crazy.
763
00:52:57,231 --> 00:52:58,431
It'll never work!
764
00:52:58,431 --> 00:52:59,391
Don't you understand?
765
00:52:59,391 --> 00:53:05,280
Are you kidding? Look at that. Al Jolson made a million bucks looking like that. Now here, you try.
766
00:53:05,760 --> 00:53:08,639
Yeah, don't worry about your eyes, cause you're gonna be wearing these.
767
00:53:09,119 --> 00:53:10,079
Go.
768
00:53:10,559 --> 00:53:12,480
Yeah, that looks good. Get on top of here.
769
00:53:13,440 --> 00:53:14,400
Oh my check.
770
00:53:14,880 --> 00:53:18,480
And then you slide this beanie on it. There you go. All right, ace seduce.
771
00:53:19,007 --> 00:53:25,007
That's bad, man. You're looking good. Now here, take this radio. When you step out of here, you gotta step out of here like King Shit, right?
772
00:53:25,967 --> 00:53:29,327
I put that radio to your ear. That's gonna help cover your face, right? And just move.
773
00:53:29,920 --> 00:53:35,440
Move your body with the rhythm of the music. That's all you gotta remember, okay? Let me see you try. Step to the music.
774
00:53:38,800 --> 00:53:39,280
Yeah.
775
00:53:39,280 --> 00:53:40,239
Stop.
776
00:53:41,824 --> 00:53:50,704
Such a tight ass man. How you gonna walk out of here with a tan face in that white book? Just get into the music. Come on, George. Come on, loosen up. Listen to the beat. Let your feet move.
777
00:53:51,536 --> 00:53:53,695
Now do it. Can't you feel it? The temple's right.
778
00:53:53,695 --> 00:53:55,135
Right here, right in there.
779
00:53:55,135 --> 00:53:58,016
That's all you gotta do. Yeah, now try it. Don't you feel?
780
00:54:00,416 --> 00:54:02,335
work George needs a lot of work. You know that.
781
00:54:02,335 --> 00:54:03,295
Well you practice.
782
00:54:03,775 --> 00:54:07,255
Man, you gotta practice, but let it be loose. Listen to the music power.
783
00:54:07,255 --> 00:54:08,215
Call it a beat.
784
00:54:08,215 --> 00:54:09,655
Feel it coming up?
785
00:54:09,655 --> 00:54:10,615
Feel it?
786
00:54:12,536 --> 00:54:13,016
Yeah.
787
00:54:13,976 --> 00:54:14,456
Thank you.
788
00:54:14,456 --> 00:54:16,856
I'm gonna get the chicken. Okay, I'll be back.
789
00:54:18,159 --> 00:54:19,119
God.
790
00:54:19,599 --> 00:54:21,760
Come on, man. Let's enjoy it.
791
00:54:23,199 --> 00:54:23,679
Shake it.
792
00:54:23,679 --> 00:54:24,860
But don't break.
793
00:54:25,840 --> 00:54:26,559
Hey man.
794
00:54:29,920 --> 00:54:31,119
Yeah!
795
00:54:31,119 --> 00:54:32,559
I feel like a turnaround midnight.
796
00:54:32,559 --> 00:54:33,519
Иди!
797
00:54:33,519 --> 00:54:34,000
Hello.
798
00:54:34,480 --> 00:54:39,280
Get down! Get down! Feeling good! Feeling fine! Feeling real!
799
00:54:46,960 --> 00:54:50,559
It's Daryl, I'm the king, number one baby!
800
00:54:54,880 --> 00:54:55,579
Uh
801
00:54:58,719 --> 00:54:59,679
C'est le film.
802
00:55:11,679 --> 00:55:13,599
I don't think we'll make it past the cops.
803
00:55:13,599 --> 00:55:16,000
I'm gonna get past the cops. I just hope we don't see no Muslims.
804
00:55:20,800 --> 00:55:24,380
Who you looking for? White guy. Well, if I see any, I'll let you know.
805
00:55:25,360 --> 00:55:33,280
Your attention, please. The Amro train, the Silver Street, departing for Chicago is now
806
00:55:33,280 --> 00:55:34,719
This is Chicago time.
807
00:55:35,199 --> 00:55:36,159
First clip.
808
00:55:36,639 --> 00:55:39,260
No visitors committed beyond the loading page.
809
00:55:45,039 --> 00:55:49,119
Will Mr. Mitchell please report to the Android office of the
810
00:55:53,199 --> 00:55:54,159
She's gone.
811
00:55:54,159 --> 00:55:55,119
Sure that's her compartment.
812
00:55:55,119 --> 00:55:55,599
Продолжение следует...
813
00:55:55,599 --> 00:55:58,480
Yes, of course. Hey, wait a minute.
814
00:55:58,960 --> 00:56:01,360
Where are my clothes? All my clothes are gone.
815
00:56:01,360 --> 00:56:02,320
This is your compartment?
816
00:56:02,320 --> 00:56:09,407
Of course I'm sure. The police must have taken everything when they found Sweet's body. We've got to see if Hilly's still on the train.
817
00:56:10,847 --> 00:56:11,807
How are we gonna do that?
818
00:56:11,807 --> 00:56:12,288
Yeah.
819
00:56:13,360 --> 00:56:19,840
Go down to the phony professor's room. It's four cars back, room C. If he's there, ask him what happened to his secretary.
820
00:56:19,840 --> 00:56:21,760
Give me the gun. Now give me your wallet.
821
00:56:22,239 --> 00:56:23,900
What thing? Gotta get a disguise.
822
00:56:24,159 --> 00:56:25,360
I'll get a porter.
823
00:56:26,320 --> 00:56:28,719
You know, these disguises are getting expensive.
824
00:56:28,719 --> 00:56:30,639
Cry and cost. Where is it at?
825
00:56:31,119 --> 00:56:33,039
Four cars back, room C. Stay up.
826
00:56:33,519 --> 00:56:34,480
I'm moving this guy.
827
00:56:34,480 --> 00:56:35,130
Good job.
828
00:56:36,143 --> 00:56:37,583
We do not have to talk about that.
829
00:56:37,583 --> 00:56:41,903
Yeah, I dealt with the black face by just putting it all in a clip and we're just gonna move on.
830
00:56:43,344 --> 00:56:47,543
We're just everyone everyone good? Everyone good? Alright, we're fine. Everyone's fine.
831
00:56:47,807 --> 00:56:58,831
The end of that clip takes us over the end of the middle third of the movie as we see Gene Wilder miraculously wash shoe polish off of his skin. And holy shit all of that was uncomfortable.
832
00:56:59,583 --> 00:57:03,679
Yeah, yeah, that's not great. Not great.
833
00:57:03,679 --> 00:57:03,800
All right.
834
00:57:04,192 --> 00:57:06,831
We're looking at lenses of a different time.
835
00:57:07,039 --> 00:57:19,280
The funniest joke in that is when the shoe shine guy that they bought all the stuff from comes in the bathroom and sees him trying to pretend to be black and he automatically says, Boy, you must be in a lot of trouble to him. Like you like
836
00:57:21,503 --> 00:57:30,864
Right. It just is like I think it's something like s oh man you must be or something along those lines. I can't remember what it was, but he's just like, Oh boy, you must be in a lot of trouble. Something like that, right?
837
00:57:31,344 --> 00:57:32,443
Yeah, something like that.
838
00:57:32,672 --> 00:57:38,672
That's a really funny joke because he understands that that's the only reason that anyone would ever do something that dumb.
839
00:57:38,672 --> 00:57:40,731
Yeah, no one should ever be doing that.
840
00:57:41,023 --> 00:57:53,199
Yeah. The other line that's really fucking funny that I think Richard Pyre may have improvised is let's hope the the nation of or let's hope the Muslims don't aren't here or something like that is in watch out for the nation of Islam'cause he will die.
841
00:57:55,599 --> 00:57:57,519
Which is not inaccurate.
842
00:57:57,519 --> 00:57:58,360
Not good.
843
00:57:58,463 --> 00:58:05,903
Yeah, that is what they were what they're doing is definitely something that would outrage people. So yeah.
844
00:58:05,903 --> 00:58:07,824
Just a little.
845
00:58:07,824 --> 00:58:22,735
We can be done if we want. We can move on to the final act. Alright, so the final act starts with Gene still drying off his face and he notices a tape machine and starts up the music for some reason. Hilly comes in and George is knocked out as soon as he sees her. They cut to him waking up
846
00:58:22,864 --> 00:58:24,543
And that is our thirteenth.
847
00:58:24,543 --> 00:58:25,503
Are you alright?
848
00:58:25,503 --> 00:58:29,184
That's what I was gonna ask you. I'm sorry about your head.
849
00:58:29,679 --> 00:58:32,320
gone back to the compartment if I thought that you were gonna
850
00:58:32,320 --> 00:58:33,760
The Rembrandt letters.
851
00:58:35,920 --> 00:58:36,639
Okay.
852
00:58:36,639 --> 00:58:38,079
I guess I blew it.
853
00:58:38,079 --> 00:58:39,039
Poor George.
854
00:58:40,239 --> 00:58:47,920
I tried not to get you involved, but they came to me yesterday and they told me that they'd killed the professor and that unless I cooperated, they'd kill me too.
855
00:58:49,119 --> 00:58:50,300
I'd go along with some.
856
00:58:52,239 --> 00:58:56,320
I was I was really happy when you did, but I was afraid I'd never see you again.
857
00:58:56,800 --> 00:58:58,239
Do I jump so?
858
00:59:01,840 --> 00:59:03,039
I was scared you wouldn't be here.
859
00:59:04,000 --> 00:59:05,179
I missed you, Hilding.
860
00:59:13,360 --> 00:59:14,320
Huh?
861
00:59:14,800 --> 00:59:16,239
You've got Shopa.
862
00:59:16,719 --> 00:59:17,679
Mind your ear.
863
00:59:19,119 --> 00:59:22,239
I'll explain that to you later. Where are you?
864
00:59:22,239 --> 00:59:28,219
Just passing the Illinois River Canal. Well, how are you? I hope I didn't slug you too hard.
865
00:59:28,760 --> 00:59:29,719
Devereaux.
866
00:59:30,440 --> 00:59:31,159
Perfect.
867
00:59:31,159 --> 00:59:36,420
You want to see him and he wants to see you. Ladies first.
868
00:59:39,559 --> 00:59:40,739
Um
869
00:59:43,639 --> 00:59:44,360
Thank you.
870
00:59:44,360 --> 00:59:53,719
Uh please sit down, make yourself comfortable. Miss Burns, how are you? Uh bring us some fresh coffee, toast and uh marmalade for our guests, would you?
871
00:59:56,599 --> 01:00:01,000
I've just been looking over this correspondence you brought me and uh
872
01:00:01,063 --> 01:00:13,623
It's fascinating. The professor was right. It's a remarkable find. I'm almost tempted to destroy it, but then on the other hand, I've always had a soft spot for things of beauty, particularly when they were genuine.
873
01:00:13,768 --> 01:00:20,728
I don't think they propose any further threat to you.
874
01:00:21,192 --> 01:00:23,831
I hope you're not too disappointed if this doesn't work.
875
01:00:23,831 --> 01:00:33,431
No, but on the contrary, I think it will. This has been a very difficult project, and I have made an error or two. One of them was bringing that man Reese out to here. What happened to him, by the way?
876
01:00:33,431 --> 01:00:34,822
I shot him.
877
01:00:34,983 --> 01:00:37,623
Good for you. You probably deserved it.
878
01:00:37,623 --> 01:00:40,023
You did have him kill the professor, didn't you?
879
01:00:40,023 --> 01:00:53,112
Oh no. Oh no. On the contrary. He did that on his own. An unfortunate mistake. I knew we couldn't kill the professor until we had the Rembrandt letters. So I had to set up a scenario whereby.
880
01:00:53,224 --> 01:01:04,503
The uh professor was kidnapped and an imposter impersonated him in order to discredit him. Uh we would have killed him anyway, but his escape attempt the other night upset the entire scheme.
881
01:01:06,583 --> 01:01:08,983
Excuse me sir. It's all confirmed.
882
01:01:08,983 --> 01:01:09,463
Yeah.
883
01:01:09,463 --> 01:01:10,914
We'll be waiting at Rockdale.
884
01:01:11,847 --> 01:01:24,088
Oh, uh, Mr. Caldwell, you do remember Johnson, don't you? He played the part of the professor and would have done the same thing at Chicago with the help of Miss Burns had it been necessary. How long before we arrive at Rockdale?
885
01:01:24,568 --> 01:01:25,527
An hour and a half, sir.
886
01:01:25,527 --> 01:01:29,623
Thank you, Jones. Now all that remains is to clear up a couple of points.
887
01:01:30,583 --> 01:01:38,072
Meaning the two of you. So I've arranged a new scenario wherein you are responsible for the murder of the professor.
888
01:01:38,072 --> 01:01:39,992
Why would I kill the professor?
889
01:01:39,992 --> 01:01:45,222
But to get the Rembrandt letters, that he found out you had to shoot him because he tried to blackmail you.
890
01:01:45,592 --> 01:01:59,960
Which brings us more or less up to date. Except that in about forty-five minutes from now, the professor's trusty secretary is going to quarrel with her partner lover and shoot him. And he dies.
891
01:02:00,199 --> 01:02:02,840
But not before shooting her.
892
01:02:04,760 --> 01:02:10,039
Enough of this talk of plots and scenarios. Join me in a cup of coffee, would you?
893
01:02:12,199 --> 01:02:13,090
Thanks.
894
01:02:13,384 --> 01:02:16,023
The professor's book is still gonna be published.
895
01:02:16,503 --> 01:02:22,264
Yes, indeed, my dear. But without the letters, I'm afraid it will be regarded as the jottings of a revisionist.
896
01:02:22,264 --> 01:02:22,563
Bye.
897
01:02:22,632 --> 01:02:30,552
An X crank, as a matter of fact. The silver streak does have its drawbacks, but please try the marmalade. They do provide an excellent cuisine. Oh!
898
01:02:30,552 --> 01:02:34,371
Well thank you, sir. I tell the boys in the kitchen we aims to please. Coffee, missed?
899
01:02:34,503 --> 01:02:35,224
No thanks.
900
01:02:37,143 --> 01:02:37,623
Good.
901
01:02:37,623 --> 01:02:39,063
That's your lady man.
902
01:02:39,543 --> 01:02:40,503
She's something else.
903
01:02:40,983 --> 01:02:42,423
Stand up, mama. Let me get a look at it.
904
01:02:43,384 --> 01:02:45,304
Mm-mm. Have mercy.
905
01:02:45,304 --> 01:02:47,143
Stuart, you may go. Thank you very much.
906
01:02:47,367 --> 01:02:49,047
Can I help you serve just with a little more coffee?
907
01:02:49,047 --> 01:02:50,967
No, thank you. I appreciate my support.
908
01:02:52,407 --> 01:02:53,367
Продолжение следует...
909
01:02:59,639 --> 01:03:01,320
You don't know me well enough to call me no n-
910
01:03:02,280 --> 01:03:06,599
You don't even know my name. I'll whoop your ass. Beat the white off your ass.
911
01:03:06,599 --> 01:03:07,559
Who are you?
912
01:03:08,039 --> 01:03:08,579
Thief.
913
01:03:09,559 --> 01:03:11,864
It's all right, Hilly. He's a friend of mine.
914
01:03:12,824 --> 01:03:13,784
Alright.
915
01:03:13,784 --> 01:03:14,744
Okay.
916
01:03:14,744 --> 01:03:16,184
So this is Mr. B.
917
01:03:16,184 --> 01:03:17,143
That's the man.
918
01:03:17,143 --> 01:03:19,494
You ain't saying shit now, Mr. Big.
919
01:03:19,592 --> 01:03:32,503
I must admit that I'm slightly at a loss for words, but on the other hand, I should warn you that you are a killer and you are wanted by the police in every state. And I recommend that you.
920
01:03:33,655 --> 01:03:42,295
You're the killer who's wanted by the police in every state. That man you had shot wasn't a vitamin salesman. He was a federal agent. They've been after you for two years.
921
01:03:42,215 --> 01:03:55,976
Ever since that plane crash in Cologne, Germany, when you caused a hundred people to die just to cover up your link with the scandal at the Metropolitan Gallery. So why don't we get them the proof that they wanted? Let's go and get the Rembrandt letters.
922
01:03:55,976 --> 01:03:56,456
Get up.
923
01:03:59,960 --> 01:04:00,449
Get up!
924
01:04:01,112 --> 01:04:02,311
Just do what he said.
925
01:04:03,271 --> 01:04:10,952
Call well, I take it that you are a reasonable man and like all men you place a reasonable value on your life.
926
01:04:10,952 --> 01:04:12,391
You trying to bribe me?
927
01:04:12,391 --> 01:04:18,751
merely pointing out that life is short and the smart man hedges his bets.
928
01:04:18,751 --> 01:04:20,672
You can't protect bets.
929
01:04:21,152 --> 01:04:24,992
If there's one thing I have learned from this trip, it's that you play the game.
930
01:04:25,472 --> 01:04:26,911
And take what you get.
931
01:04:27,391 --> 01:04:27,871
Found
932
01:04:31,639 --> 01:04:45,367
That starts a shootout and the boys have to jump off the train again. They do not get the letters. This is the third time George has had to leave the train, and when they get out of the water, they are both caught. The film then cuts.
933
01:04:45,320 --> 01:04:58,168
That's to the evil man burning the letters out in the open of his train car. And that just seems really dumb burning the letters right there on the fucking train, uh like right out in the open. Why don't you at least go in the bathroom and burn it in the fucking sink? You know.
934
01:04:58,168 --> 01:04:59,128
Yeah, right.
935
01:04:59,128 --> 01:05:05,367
You know, or in the bathtub in on that tape plate, you know, where you can put it out a lot easier.
936
01:05:08,615 --> 01:05:15,927
Uh well anyway, one of his henchmen comes in with some news and well, that's dialogue, so that's our fourteenth clip.
937
01:05:16,152 --> 01:05:21,672
Yeah? I just talked to Cheney. He'll have the helicopter ready at Rockdale, just about five minutes from the station.
938
01:05:22,632 --> 01:05:24,552
We'll be there in 46 minutes.
939
01:05:24,552 --> 01:05:29,351
Is there any way of stopping this train between here and there?
940
01:05:29,831 --> 01:05:32,351
Aside from the engine, there's an emergency break in each car.
941
01:05:33,311 --> 01:05:34,751
Okay. All of them?
942
01:05:34,751 --> 01:05:37,632
Yes, all of them. And take her with you.
943
01:05:41,239 --> 01:05:42,199
They're yours.
944
01:05:42,199 --> 01:05:44,119
You George Caldwell, we
945
01:05:44,119 --> 01:05:46,519
You pleased, would you just tell me
946
01:05:46,519 --> 01:05:47,650
God damn it!
947
01:05:48,039 --> 01:05:51,159
Would you please tell me what the hell we're doing here and what you want from me?
948
01:05:51,159 --> 01:05:52,599
You or George Cromwell? Yes.
949
01:05:52,599 --> 01:05:53,559
I'm George Calbert.
950
01:05:53,559 --> 01:05:55,480
I want some information from you and I want it facts.
951
01:05:55,480 --> 01:05:55,960
I did not.
952
01:05:55,960 --> 01:05:56,920
Not kill sweet.
953
01:05:56,920 --> 01:06:08,072
We know that. And if you weren't so dumb, you would have realized that we planted that news story for your own protection. I've had men posted in every town since Dodge City trying to pick you up while you're gallivanting around the countryside wasting valuable time.
954
01:06:08,072 --> 01:06:09,992
I didn't know that they were federal agents.
955
01:06:09,992 --> 01:06:11,911
Well, let's see what you do.
956
01:06:14,360 --> 01:06:19,159
How many men has Devereaux got on the train? Two. What's his plan after they get to Chicago?
957
01:06:19,159 --> 01:06:23,039
Chicago. He's not going to Chicago. He's getting off at the stop before at Rockdale.
958
01:06:23,608 --> 01:06:24,807
I was afraid of that.
959
01:06:25,288 --> 01:06:29,697
Okay. Matthews, over here.
960
01:06:31,400 --> 01:06:35,239
We're going to stop the train before Rockdale. Closest is.
961
01:06:35,719 --> 01:06:37,380
The Harris Mill Junction.
962
01:06:37,639 --> 01:06:51,416
963
01:06:51,800 --> 01:06:54,920
This has been a nerve shattering experience for me, so I'd like to go home.
964
01:06:54,920 --> 01:06:59,719
Boys, take him anywhere he wants to go. Okay, men, grab your rifles. Let's move it.
965
01:07:00,199 --> 01:07:01,159
Thank you.
966
01:07:01,159 --> 01:07:02,599
Your shelves.
967
01:07:03,079 --> 01:07:04,260
Let's go!
968
01:07:04,760 --> 01:07:06,920
What does he think I'm gonna do with this?
969
01:07:06,920 --> 01:07:08,360
Build her tires out on the train.
970
01:07:09,800 --> 01:07:11,239
Thanks for everything.
971
01:07:11,719 --> 01:07:12,420
Маталья.
972
01:07:12,920 --> 01:07:15,559
God damn it. Caldwell, get out of here!
973
01:07:16,039 --> 01:07:17,219
If there's ever anything.
974
01:07:18,199 --> 01:07:21,559
Need. Don't call me.
975
01:07:22,039 --> 01:07:26,820
Don't let them get you killed. Take it easy, Keller. Stay loose.
976
01:07:28,760 --> 01:07:30,199
Where'd you like to go, fella?
977
01:07:31,639 --> 01:07:33,559
Left my jag in Kansas City.
978
01:07:33,559 --> 01:07:40,679
They cut from this to the train where everyone has to exit before the bad men can get off the train. Evacuation begins.
979
01:07:40,967 --> 01:07:52,311
And the large man sneaking past bit returns before the man Batty is told it's the cops, and it cuts to copaganda, siren driving as George arrives with the police.
980
01:07:52,487 --> 01:07:58,967
And the baddies are tooling up with M16s. How the fuck did they get those on the train? Oh, wait, it was the 70s.
981
01:07:59,927 --> 01:08:00,407
Yeah.
982
01:08:00,407 --> 01:08:04,387
I mean it's the seventies, man. You bring an atom bomb under the goddamn train.
983
01:08:04,583 --> 01:08:11,063
They knock out the porter and man did that piss me off to see old Dick Halloran get one in the back of the head like that with a knockout shot.
984
01:08:11,063 --> 01:08:12,384
Yeah.
985
01:08:12,519 --> 01:08:19,832
Terrible. But at least he only got knocked out and didn't get killed. And a shootout starts as the passengers flee in terror. The shootout itself.
986
01:08:19,783 --> 01:08:30,103
Goes on for quite a while as George tries to load his gun, when he is startled by Grover, who is returning his wallet in the middle of a shootout for some reason. Oh, that's because it's funny, that's why.
987
01:08:30,103 --> 01:08:30,582
Yeah.
988
01:08:32,264 --> 01:08:45,047
The main baddie shoots a conductor in cold blood and gets the train running again just as George, Grover, and the baddie's henchmen jump on. Devereux is the baddie's name, I just learned that because his guy is screaming at Adam for help before he gets kicked.
989
01:08:45,127 --> 01:08:55,064
in both hands and forced to fall. Then the baddie named Devereaux forces the engineer to keep his foot on the train, making it go full speed. Grover and George make their way through
990
01:08:55,015 --> 01:09:09,847
They threw the train as Hilly is dragged out of the car by the remaining henchmen. Devereaux and the pigs have a shootout between a helicopter and train, which doesn't seem like the most accurate way to be able to shoot, probably.
991
01:09:10,712 --> 01:09:13,591
No, that doesn't seem helpful.
992
01:09:14,072 --> 01:09:24,152
George gets the drop on the henchman after Grover goes down in a battle, and Hilly and Grover are both okay because Grover was playing dead because it was a shootout.
993
01:09:24,152 --> 01:09:24,671
Yeah.
994
01:09:25,000 --> 01:09:26,680
I don't blame you.
995
01:09:26,680 --> 01:09:30,279
Me neither, man. I what do you think I'm doing? Playing dead right away.
996
01:09:30,984 --> 01:09:39,448
The cops and the baddie shootout continues as a nearly out of control helicopter almost hits the train. Man, that was kinda cool.
997
01:09:39,927 --> 01:09:40,408
Yeah.
998
01:09:40,408 --> 01:09:44,760
Yeah. The conductor tried to escape but is shot and the baddie puts a toolbox
999
01:09:44,680 --> 01:09:59,384
on the accelerator before being shot all to hell by the feds and killed by an oncoming train as he hangs out of the side, paralyzed by being shot, and I'm guessing the fear of it all, and man, that was really satisfying, even though you don't actually see him get splattered.
1000
01:09:59,863 --> 01:10:03,224
Yeah, but I mean still, you know. You know what happened.
1001
01:10:03,224 --> 01:10:09,823
And the three heroes are now on the runaway train and need to figure out how to stop it to save their lives.
1002
01:10:10,391 --> 01:10:19,032
George decides to do the climb walk across the top again. They cut to a Fred Willard cameo, so you know goddamn well that's going to be our fifteenth clip.
1003
01:10:20,119 --> 01:10:21,800
How's it going?
1004
01:10:21,800 --> 01:10:22,279
I don't
1005
01:10:23,239 --> 01:10:27,079
Look, the engineer is probably anxious to bring the train in on schedule.
1006
01:10:27,560 --> 01:10:30,439
This is Chief Donaldson. Who's this?
1007
01:10:30,439 --> 01:10:33,319
This is Jerry Jar. Mm.
1008
01:10:34,279 --> 01:10:34,979
Get me your bot.
1009
01:10:36,920 --> 01:10:39,560
But I'm sure I can handle any problem you might have.
1010
01:10:39,560 --> 01:10:46,279
It's not my problem. You've got a dead engineer and a runaway train that's going to hit Chicago in 15 minutes. Now, what are you going to do about it?
1011
01:10:46,760 --> 01:10:51,779
All right, I'll check with the signal towers. But um, you see it's impossible.
1012
01:10:52,279 --> 01:10:54,680
If the engineer is dead, who's driving the train?
1013
01:10:58,279 --> 01:10:59,720
Is there any way?
1014
01:11:00,680 --> 01:11:01,640
Oh, he's okay.
1015
01:11:01,640 --> 01:11:05,479
Listen to me. Is there any way to get to the engine without going over the roof?
1016
01:11:05,479 --> 01:11:07,399
There ain't no way to get the engine pillar.
1017
01:11:07,880 --> 01:11:08,840
Why are we going so
1018
01:11:08,840 --> 01:11:09,319
Fair.
1019
01:11:09,319 --> 01:11:11,359
Because there's no one driving this train.
1020
01:11:11,359 --> 01:11:13,279
Oh, that's impossible! It would stop!
1021
01:11:13,760 --> 01:11:15,199
Does this look as if we're stopping?
1022
01:11:22,560 --> 01:11:27,119
I received a report from the signal towers. They see no engineer in the cabin.
1023
01:11:27,119 --> 01:11:31,920
Great, now you've got the facts. Why don't you just throw one of those switches and have the train run off on a siding?
1024
01:11:31,920 --> 01:11:35,500
That's the problem. All the tracks are computer programmed.
1025
01:11:36,000 --> 01:11:38,880
Switching the silver streak would only cause a collision with another train.
1026
01:11:39,359 --> 01:11:42,960
Then what the hell are you gonna do? There are people riding on that train.
1027
01:11:44,399 --> 01:11:49,439
You see, the standard procedure in such an emergency would be to derail the train.
1028
01:11:49,439 --> 01:11:51,720
Derail it in the middle of the yard.
1029
01:11:52,000 --> 01:11:57,039
Yes, actually I can't take that responsibility. Uh I'd better get my boss.
1030
01:11:57,039 --> 01:12:04,300
You better do something, you idiot, because in ten minutes you're going to have two hundred tons of locomotive smashing through Central Station on its way to Marshall Field.
1031
01:12:06,000 --> 01:12:07,439
Where are we going?
1032
01:12:07,439 --> 01:12:09,359
Продолжение следует...
1033
01:12:10,319 --> 01:12:11,279
Hey, Jack!
1034
01:12:14,159 --> 01:12:14,859
Dziękuję za uwagę.
1035
01:12:16,560 --> 01:12:23,760
And what we have to do is I'm coming to God. We've got to put up that car and turn it to the left. We're going to party.
1036
01:12:24,239 --> 01:12:25,680
Don't there, Fresh Lion?
1037
01:12:25,680 --> 01:12:26,640
And the wrist!
1038
01:12:26,640 --> 01:12:29,520
Climb on throughout the train, and you've got to jump on back!
1039
01:12:33,960 --> 01:12:34,439
I fell.
1040
01:12:36,960 --> 01:12:38,640
Hey Mabel, have you seen Benny?
1041
01:12:39,119 --> 01:12:41,039
But isn't the little Caesar the railroad?
1042
01:12:48,720 --> 01:12:49,199
Thank you.
1043
01:12:49,199 --> 01:12:51,119
Silver Streak is a runaway. What do we do?
1044
01:12:51,600 --> 01:12:52,560
Субтитры делал DimaTorzok
1045
01:12:52,560 --> 01:12:54,220
We'll be here in four minutes.
1046
01:12:58,800 --> 01:13:02,859
You are requested to walk to the nearest exit as quickly as possible.
1047
01:13:16,319 --> 01:13:27,500
That's the end of that. Our Pentultimate Clip. The station is given a warning at the end of the clip, and our heroes fight to stop the train in time to save their lives and the lives of those at the station.
1048
01:13:27,920 --> 01:13:41,695
They successfully sever the cars and jump to safety from the speeding away car to the car that is slowing down as the engine spectacularly crashes into the station. This is a disaster movie level of crash effects and stunts.
1049
01:13:42,000 --> 01:13:47,520
that I cannot begin to even describe accurately. I'm not taking the time to write it down.
1050
01:13:47,520 --> 01:13:49,260
Blues brothers level here.
1051
01:13:49,615 --> 01:14:04,576
Yeah. This is Blues Brothers level of mass devastation and destruction, like in a comedy aspect as well, where people are running out of the way and safe and things are being destroyed, but it's funny the way that it's being destroyed, but no one actually gets hurt, and it's actually pretty fucking cool.
1052
01:14:04,576 --> 01:14:05,536
Yeah.
1053
01:14:05,536 --> 01:14:06,496
¡Gracias!
1054
01:14:06,496 --> 01:14:07,536
It's a really awesome.
1055
01:14:07,935 --> 01:14:10,095
Yeah. Our heroes make it alive and
1056
01:14:10,095 --> 01:14:11,536
Dick.
1057
01:14:11,536 --> 01:14:15,855
Our heroes make it alive and Dick Halloran drinks to his life in our final.
1058
01:14:26,159 --> 01:14:28,560
And no Chicago hell!
1059
01:14:29,039 --> 01:14:30,479
Gotta drink to that!
1060
01:14:30,479 --> 01:14:32,880
Amen. Thank you.
1061
01:14:32,880 --> 01:14:36,359
I don't know about you, but next time I'm gonna take the bus.
1062
01:14:36,359 --> 01:14:39,720
Maybe I'm crazy, but it looks as if it's grinning.
1063
01:14:39,720 --> 01:14:42,600
Yeah, like the cat who swallowed the canary.
1064
01:14:44,039 --> 01:14:45,100
I don't know
1065
01:14:48,239 --> 01:14:49,680
Take it easy, killer.
1066
01:14:50,159 --> 01:14:51,340
Stay loose!
1067
01:14:52,800 --> 01:14:53,520
What's she doing?
1068
01:14:54,000 --> 01:14:55,659
He's crazy.
1069
01:14:56,880 --> 01:14:58,539
Crazy. He's got the right idea.
1070
01:14:59,039 --> 01:15:00,960
Let's get out of here.
1071
01:15:01,439 --> 01:15:02,399
I'm tired.
1072
01:15:02,880 --> 01:15:07,199
I want to lie back on the grass and have you teach me some more about gardening.
1073
01:15:09,119 --> 01:15:12,720
You know, no gardening talk being sexy just doesn't quite work, I don't think.
1074
01:15:12,720 --> 01:15:14,640
Oh worked out for him.
1075
01:15:14,640 --> 01:15:20,619
Yeah, yeah, as long as they're happy together.
1076
01:15:23,039 --> 01:15:24,479
This shell still fucking s-
1077
01:15:25,199 --> 01:15:38,783
Awesome movie. The chemistry with Wilder and Prior just is unmatched uh at this point in times in their careers. It's just uh a great way of like bringing two guys who have different ways of doing humor and bringing them together and it just works.
1078
01:15:38,783 --> 01:15:53,503
Yeah, definitely. Uh this is kind of a Gene Wilder film for the bulk of it. And then they have like this little added spice of a Richard Pryor almost kind of cameo at the back half of the film, right? It's like first towel.
1079
01:15:53,503 --> 01:15:54,894
Yeah.
1080
01:15:54,927 --> 01:15:58,047
And then back half is all Richard Pryor, Gene Wilder sort of team up it.
1081
01:15:58,047 --> 01:16:04,287
It was it was almost like the team up movies weren't even thought of while this was being shot, and then they were like, Well, God, they they had a
1082
01:16:04,880 --> 01:16:08,960
Chemistry on camera together. Maybe we should uh do a couple team up movies with them.
1083
01:16:08,960 --> 01:16:21,423
Yeah, like I think for a moment they were just supposed to be like he was supposed to be another person who helped him and then like him coming back to give him his wallet is just like no let's bring him in and finish the film with him You know what I mean? Like it just feels like Exactly that was a because
1084
01:16:21,648 --> 01:16:31,136
Yes, it's comedy, but like, are you really gonna enter a fucking shootout after it already happened to give somebody his wallet? Or are you just gonna stay back out of the way and wait for him to make sure he's alive?
1085
01:16:31,423 --> 01:16:40,783
Right? Like which you know, which you wouldn't see as character then. He wouldn't end up on the train. Right. So it I that's why I feel like maybe that was a work to get him back in. Because they weren't expecting to put him in, but they had a
1086
01:16:40,783 --> 01:16:41,743
Yeah.
1087
01:16:42,895 --> 01:16:43,615
Right.
1088
01:16:43,615 --> 01:16:45,055
No, I see that completely.
1089
01:16:45,055 --> 01:16:51,466
Yeah. And they de they definitely know they have something here at the end of this film because we get three more fucking movies. We get two
1090
01:16:51,600 --> 01:16:53,760
So they know they got something with this.
1091
01:16:53,760 --> 01:17:01,920
So yeah, we get two good ones where the next week's movie, um I'm just gonna fucking say it here is the best for sure. And then it starts to crazy.
1092
01:17:01,920 --> 01:17:02,479
Come on.
1093
01:17:02,800 --> 01:17:13,119
Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. But they definitely realize with this film they've got something here for sure.'Cause they definitely perfect what they have here in our next film next week. For sure. Oh yeah.
1094
01:17:13,119 --> 01:17:24,832
Yeah, definitely. Yeah. They perfect whatever accidental, you know, uh chemistry they they just produced. Yeah. And then and then did something with it in the next movie. Yeah.
1095
01:17:24,832 --> 01:17:34,560
Yeah. They they found a way to actually basically recreate the lightning in a bottle. Like right. Like somehow they have like a Tesla coil in a bottle with what they do next week.
1096
01:17:39,184 --> 01:17:53,260
All right, well I'm good with this if you are, and uh I think I'm ready to stick all the quits on this. We don't need to do story times. We'll we'll come back and maybe we'll come up with some All right, so we'll go ahead and play the uh show housekeeping and when we come back we'll close out the

1105

01:19:56,159 --> 01:19:58,800
