01:36.503 --> 01:37.324
[SPEAKER_00]: You can't say Trump it.
01:37.484 --> 01:38.424
[SPEAKER_00]: You can't say Trump it.
01:38.504 --> 01:41.887
[SPEAKER_01]: I played the Trump because you can't say Trump.
01:42.487 --> 01:43.248
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you can't say Trump.
01:43.288 --> 01:48.731
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what you're going to do.
01:48.831 --> 01:50.252
[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to play Trump.
01:54.255 --> 01:55.297
[SPEAKER_00]: You got to see a different instrument.
01:55.317 --> 01:57.440
[SPEAKER_00]: What is it that's a wind goodness so wind is to me.
01:57.520 --> 01:59.303
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's not a wind instrument.
01:59.443 --> 02:02.627
[SPEAKER_01]: What it's on the grass instruments.
02:02.648 --> 02:04.110
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, we got to stop it.
02:04.831 --> 02:06.093
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you blew it to a trumpet.
02:06.113 --> 02:07.134
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that comes a wind.
02:07.174 --> 02:07.414
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
02:08.404 --> 02:10.346
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that a wind instrument?
02:10.807 --> 02:11.107
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
02:11.127 --> 02:13.890
[SPEAKER_01]: No wind instruments have reads.
02:14.430 --> 02:15.952
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know what, you know what, Bray?
02:16.452 --> 02:20.436
[SPEAKER_00]: See, right now we discovered more options you could have said than the T were not.
02:20.456 --> 02:20.796
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
02:20.836 --> 02:24.080
[SPEAKER_02]: So, but if you weren't, it wouldn't have been just saying.
02:24.460 --> 02:27.302
[SPEAKER_00]: James James, I don't make the rules.
02:27.402 --> 02:31.144
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I don't make the rules because he said I play all ass instrument.
02:31.284 --> 02:39.909
[SPEAKER_00]: He said that then you would have been like which which one and then he would have won a trumpet and then what you know where you what do you do and I would have said I was to see why you didn't say the name.
02:40.109 --> 02:42.451
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you can't say the T weren't in your way.
02:42.911 --> 02:46.153
[SPEAKER_01]: My name is Jonathan Braylock.
02:47.194 --> 02:51.596
[SPEAKER_00]: This place of reason that makes no sense why this black woman stayed at
02:54.523 --> 02:55.324
[SPEAKER_00]: At no point.
02:55.384 --> 02:57.725
[SPEAKER_00]: At least one point where it makes some sense.
02:57.805 --> 02:58.125
[SPEAKER_00]: There was.
02:58.165 --> 03:00.747
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, some sense.
03:00.947 --> 03:02.868
[SPEAKER_00]: At the very beginning, I was like, okay, I get it.
03:02.888 --> 03:04.209
[SPEAKER_00]: They were like, they even addressed it.
03:04.229 --> 03:05.809
[SPEAKER_00]: But I was like, you weren't that broke.
03:06.250 --> 03:13.414

05:17.240 --> 05:17.781
[SPEAKER_01]: All purpose?
05:19.024 --> 05:19.345
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
05:20.645 --> 05:21.345
[SPEAKER_01]: I did once.
05:21.706 --> 05:23.707
[SPEAKER_01]: I did once part.
05:23.727 --> 05:26.188
[SPEAKER_01]: They get a CPD give it out.
05:26.949 --> 05:29.990
[SPEAKER_01]: They get when we went to I don't know if you did you gonna Awesome.
05:30.291 --> 05:31.071
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you did, right?
05:31.091 --> 05:43.278
[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, hey, I feel like they gave us like Yeah, because that was the same year that that that Jarrah was flying back I toast to my desk story last night
05:46.825 --> 06:01.620
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I, so y'all understand for everyone at home, I thought I was a ticket edible, I thought I was in the Matrix and the only reason I knew I was a still alive is because of this West App group and it was John and James talking about a party they were going to.
06:02.241 --> 06:03.022
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like,
06:04.669 --> 06:08.072
[SPEAKER_00]: People, I was sleep at an airport, wouldn't mess.
06:08.712 --> 06:09.993
[SPEAKER_00]: What a mess, have I had edible sense?
06:10.213 --> 06:11.034
[SPEAKER_00]: Have I had edible sense?
06:11.054 --> 06:11.414
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
06:11.574 --> 06:14.777
[SPEAKER_02]: And that was the one time you're saying, Bray, that was the one time you did.
06:14.797 --> 06:16.278
[SPEAKER_02]: And nothing happened to you, yeah.
06:16.298 --> 06:18.460
[SPEAKER_01]: But you just also didn't really think anything happened.
06:18.660 --> 06:21.983
[SPEAKER_01]: There was one moment where I was like, oh, I feel like I can focus more.
06:22.623 --> 06:23.745
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that doesn't even make sense.
06:24.086 --> 06:25.388
[SPEAKER_00]: Does that make sense?
06:25.408 --> 06:27.491
[SPEAKER_00]: So some people, so some, some people it does.
06:27.531 --> 06:28.492
[SPEAKER_00]: It depends on what kind of you had.
06:28.532 --> 06:34.461
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm not a marijuana-ficionado, but I know some people who take, is it, well, I don't know all the times.
06:34.501 --> 06:36.864
[SPEAKER_00]: But there's something that makes you tire, it's going to help you folk get around you.
06:37.365 --> 06:38.966
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so you can have it to be clear.
06:38.986 --> 06:40.327
[SPEAKER_01]: This wasn't like this.
06:40.567 --> 06:47.951
[SPEAKER_01]: This was I feel like those the ones that they gave us were pretty mild C. B B stuff so you want you want more juice you were like I got it.
06:47.971 --> 06:48.291
[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
06:48.311 --> 06:48.531
[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
06:48.571 --> 06:48.991
[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
06:49.031 --> 06:49.512
[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
06:49.632 --> 06:57.596
[SPEAKER_02]: That's why you did that's why you didn't do it because you you already could tell you were like, oh, it's already the slippery slope and you was going to sleep.
06:57.816 --> 06:59.897
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, this is slippery.
06:59.977 --> 07:04.760
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they say they say it's not a gateway drug, but no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
07:05.440 --> 07:07.981
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we know what you know when this is one thing I learned.
07:08.361 --> 07:10.061
[SPEAKER_00]: Bill Cosby told me when I was a kid.
07:10.502 --> 07:12.642
[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, I can't do them drugs.
07:12.662 --> 07:13.382
[SPEAKER_02]: You're paying.
07:13.402 --> 07:14.683
[SPEAKER_02]: No, there's anybody around.
07:14.723 --> 07:15.643
[SPEAKER_01]: I only drugs that.
07:15.663 --> 07:17.444
[SPEAKER_01]: There's anybody drug that's okay.
07:17.464 --> 07:19.604
[SPEAKER_01]: It's drugs that you give to other women.
07:19.644 --> 07:21.785
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's that Bill Cosby boy.
07:21.845 --> 07:23.885
[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus, wait, it's fucking Bill Cosby.
07:24.026 --> 07:25.306
[SPEAKER_01]: None of the, I mean,
07:26.626 --> 07:27.667
[SPEAKER_01]: Just a hidden monster.
07:27.687 --> 07:28.607
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
07:28.707 --> 07:32.429
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they should, the day Shepel joke really is the perfect.
07:32.489 --> 07:34.169
[SPEAKER_01]: He saved the rapes analogy.
07:35.090 --> 07:35.870
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
07:37.271 --> 07:39.712
[SPEAKER_02]: And I still, I was just talking about this the other day.
07:40.312 --> 07:43.973
[SPEAKER_02]: It makes me so mad because it's a call back to the worst part of the special.
07:44.013 --> 07:46.554
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he only does that in that spot.
07:46.574 --> 07:50.816
[SPEAKER_02]: He only does the first part, says what he rapes, so that he can do the call back.
07:51.116 --> 07:54.498
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's this fully unnecessary tangent early on.
07:55.638 --> 07:56.879
[SPEAKER_02]: And then the callback was great.
07:57.519 --> 08:11.185
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, we're reviewing the Peacock original film Strong, directed by Malcolm D, directed by Malcolm D, and if you're saying, wait a minute, Malcolm D, Lee, that name sounds familiar.
08:11.345 --> 08:17.387
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it should, well, the most prolific black directors that we got right now.
08:17.487 --> 08:19.348
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he, uh, directed home.
08:19.368 --> 08:20.628
[SPEAKER_01]: Best man series.
08:21.549 --> 08:22.749
[SPEAKER_01]: He directed girls trip.
08:25.726 --> 08:35.692
[SPEAKER_01]: Some other fun movies like a nice school and Barbershop Barbershop You know, you Directed through movie five.
08:35.732 --> 08:36.433
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't realize yeah.
08:36.493 --> 08:36.653
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
08:36.673 --> 08:38.234
[SPEAKER_00]: What did you say?
08:38.930 --> 08:44.275
[SPEAKER_00]: I think you had to call back for that barber shop because you were there, but when I think your name was on the design sheet before I said it.
08:44.315 --> 08:46.036
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what I was going to talk about.
08:46.076 --> 08:52.922
[SPEAKER_02]: I like it's wild because I guess it was a producer session, but he was there and I was surprised that he was there.
08:53.282 --> 08:55.664
[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, he's like, I didn't know he's going to be there.
08:56.205 --> 08:57.006
[SPEAKER_00]: That's cool.
08:57.046 --> 08:59.308
[SPEAKER_00]: That's how to use those movie callbacks.
08:59.488 --> 09:01.329
[SPEAKER_00]: He also just finished.
09:02.450 --> 09:14.460
[SPEAKER_00]: uh he has a program with universal that was announced submissions are over unfortunately, but it was I think, uh loving laughs or something like that is going to be for the next classic black romicon.
09:14.560 --> 09:15.501
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, god.
09:16.041 --> 09:17.062
[SPEAKER_02]: You've sent a submissive.
09:17.663 --> 09:23.247
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh I was I literally had it up on my computer.
09:24.268 --> 09:37.265
[SPEAKER_00]: thought I hit submit and it was just so this submission was just I've been applying to so many programs and jobs I just had a bunch of things open and yeah but this was in the middle of the move and I just did that was like tailored to you
09:38.644 --> 09:39.804
[SPEAKER_00]: broke, just didn't.
09:40.504 --> 09:51.487
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm upset for you, and I'm, and it was crazy that I'm, and you know, he had a chance to direct the next great comedy, but he messed up, which was called diversity, high work.
09:51.507 --> 09:55.308
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm saying he had a chance to do it, but he know, we're good for him, right?
09:55.368 --> 09:56.308
[SPEAKER_01]: We are good for him.
09:56.328 --> 09:59.769
[SPEAKER_01]: This is, that we have, this is this is, this is a pretty anymore.
09:59.829 --> 10:00.849
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say, just, just, just let
10:09.652 --> 10:15.236
[SPEAKER_00]: He had a chance to direct the next great conversation.
10:15.256 --> 10:20.080
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that is something you should be able to publicly talk about.
10:20.120 --> 10:21.722
[SPEAKER_02]: Just like they turned down.
10:22.102 --> 10:23.103
[SPEAKER_02]: You reached out to them and turned.
10:23.143 --> 10:24.023
[SPEAKER_02]: I ain't saying that.
10:25.685 --> 10:26.085
[SPEAKER_02]: No.
10:26.205 --> 10:27.546
[SPEAKER_02]: He had called them all types out of me.
10:27.606 --> 10:28.707
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, well, not like that.
10:29.088 --> 10:29.668
[SPEAKER_01]: And you know what?
10:29.828 --> 10:30.128
[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
10:30.309 --> 10:30.649
[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
10:30.929 --> 10:32.590
[SPEAKER_01]: We should be up front about that only because.
10:34.732 --> 10:38.916
[SPEAKER_01]: you know, I don't know about you guys, but I was for sure watching this movie and go in.
10:39.197 --> 10:40.718
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is what you turned us down for.
10:40.798 --> 10:42.880
[SPEAKER_00]: Yo, was James the brain.
10:43.080 --> 10:43.501
[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, great.
10:43.521 --> 10:50.888
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, so interesting is I didn't know who directed the movie until maybe like this movie so bright.
10:51.409 --> 10:53.831
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, look up the director and I thought the same thing.
10:54.091 --> 10:57.415
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, I didn't think that going into it, but like, maybe way through I was like, pro.
10:58.396 --> 11:05.387
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay, but who but come on like you'll know at which point he signed on this true history I mean, I was working on this room.
11:05.687 --> 11:13.559
[SPEAKER_01]: You know yeah, yeah Apparently principle for Tiger for that began last year
11:14.764 --> 11:16.006
[SPEAKER_00]: No, he said 25.
11:16.506 --> 11:21.313
[SPEAKER_01]: So, but anyway, so we are reviewing the film strong.
11:21.393 --> 11:24.697
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a peacock original, so it came directly onto streaming.
11:25.278 --> 11:30.064
[SPEAKER_01]: Not sure if that was always the plan, you know, but that's what happened.
11:30.645 --> 11:31.346
[SPEAKER_01]: It stars.
11:32.387 --> 11:44.915
[SPEAKER_01]: Chloe Bailey, who you of course know from Chloe and Halley and their turns on Grownish, Halley has done several more films recently, but the Chloe is starring in this one.
11:46.116 --> 11:48.778
[SPEAKER_01]: It was also produced by Tyler Berry.
11:48.938 --> 11:49.518
[SPEAKER_01]: Did you see that?
11:49.578 --> 11:50.679
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I noticed that.
11:50.799 --> 11:51.499
[SPEAKER_01]: And Jason, yeah.
11:51.939 --> 11:52.200
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
11:52.880 --> 11:54.981
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's a both production.
11:55.482 --> 11:55.762
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
11:56.082 --> 11:56.682
[SPEAKER_02]: That's great.
11:56.702 --> 11:57.943
[SPEAKER_02]: That was what was crazy to me.
11:58.384 --> 11:59.464
[SPEAKER_02]: Why was it both?
11:59.524 --> 12:00.245
[SPEAKER_02]: That just feels like
12:01.055 --> 12:05.078
[SPEAKER_02]: to opposing ends of the Hollywood Spectrum.
12:06.239 --> 12:07.820
[SPEAKER_02]: Both, man.
12:08.101 --> 12:16.808
[SPEAKER_01]: It is, I mean, yeah, I mean, it makes sense if you think about what John or this is trying to live in, it is kind of like in the middle of that in a way.
12:16.848 --> 12:17.768
[SPEAKER_02]: Does it make sense?
12:17.828 --> 12:19.310
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't understand.
12:20.871 --> 12:28.037
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying it worked, but I'm saying, in terms of what this movie was doing, it's like, hey, this is kind of like, what if like,
12:28.841 --> 12:31.464
[SPEAKER_01]: What if Tyler Perry made a Blum House production?
12:32.265 --> 12:35.349
[SPEAKER_02]: I, so the, so I am wondering who came first.
12:35.409 --> 12:37.552
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm, that's what I'm trying to figure out.
12:37.992 --> 12:39.614
[SPEAKER_02]: And how do you convince the other?
12:39.674 --> 12:40.475
[SPEAKER_02]: Ooh, that's a good question.
12:40.495 --> 12:41.717
[SPEAKER_02]: Once you have the one.
12:42.417 --> 12:43.178
[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, it's correct.
12:43.278 --> 12:45.121
[SPEAKER_01]: I wish we understood that.
12:46.040 --> 12:47.321
[SPEAKER_00]: It's very confusing.
12:47.361 --> 12:49.422
[SPEAKER_00]: That's actually a really good question, James.
12:49.682 --> 12:56.205
[SPEAKER_01]: But what you said came first, the deadline article, the deadline article is back in 2021.
12:56.225 --> 13:00.947
[SPEAKER_01]: And it says Tyler Perry had Jason Blum team up for the first time.
13:01.767 --> 13:03.968
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, then maybe it was, and then wanted to work.
13:04.008 --> 13:05.989
[SPEAKER_01]: This movie was, yeah.
13:06.969 --> 13:10.911
[SPEAKER_01]: So this movie was initially titled,
13:14.195 --> 13:15.695
[SPEAKER_01]: She, you know, she's, she is the help.
13:15.755 --> 13:15.996
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
13:16.316 --> 13:16.856
[SPEAKER_01]: I saw that.
13:17.276 --> 13:17.696
[SPEAKER_00]: Excuse me.
13:17.736 --> 13:18.836
[SPEAKER_00]: It was in the shadow.
13:18.896 --> 13:19.097
[SPEAKER_02]: Help.
13:19.137 --> 13:19.337
[SPEAKER_00]: Help.
13:20.097 --> 13:21.537
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
13:21.577 --> 13:22.197
[SPEAKER_02]: She needs help.
13:22.598 --> 13:23.078
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
13:23.118 --> 13:24.258
[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody needs help.
13:25.438 --> 13:26.079
[SPEAKER_00]: So the way.
13:26.099 --> 13:28.039
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, well, also she is the help.
13:29.180 --> 13:29.420
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
13:31.340 --> 13:32.200
[SPEAKER_00]: So.
13:32.421 --> 13:33.041
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
13:33.061 --> 13:33.901
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me say some other.
13:34.381 --> 13:35.922
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me say some other facts about this.
13:35.942 --> 13:36.142
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
13:44.849 --> 13:50.420
[SPEAKER_01]: There is no popcorn, there is no popcorn meter because it has fewer than 50 ratings.
13:50.520 --> 13:54.347
[SPEAKER_01]: So which to me says nobody saw this.
13:57.634 --> 14:17.863
[SPEAKER_01]: right I mean like there's there's not a lot of ways when when when when streaming services want to hide how many people are actually watching and they tend to do that when nobody's watching you can't really tell like well who saw this you know but when you go on round tomatoes and there's not even a popcorn meter because not enough people have even rated it good or bad just like people don't
14:23.848 --> 14:24.430
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, agree.
14:24.871 --> 14:26.275
[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
14:26.315 --> 14:30.928
[SPEAKER_01]: It's rated 4.9 out of 10 on IMDB by people, by the public.
14:32.176 --> 14:32.656
[SPEAKER_02]: 4.9.
14:33.077 --> 14:47.567
[SPEAKER_02]: And it is about, yeah, out of 10, James, but point, but point, not, that just means it couldn't get to 5.
14:57.271 --> 15:09.699
[SPEAKER_01]: new job tutoring for an elite family turns into a battle for sanity, and then survival when she realizes her past links to the family, Haytriarch.
15:10.259 --> 15:13.461
[SPEAKER_01]: That makes it sound like something deeper than it was.
15:14.041 --> 15:15.162
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, yeah.
15:16.883 --> 15:17.443
[SPEAKER_01]: Initial thoughts.
15:18.104 --> 15:18.744
[SPEAKER_01]: Who wants to start?
