OM DENNE EPISODE
What do you do with the pain that remains after you’ve forgiven someone?
If we look to the Bible for guidance, we see that one-third of the Psalms are “imprecatory prayers,” or prayers for justice or vengeance. It’s in those prayers that we can find some helpful language for handing over that grief and anger to God, trusting Him with the outcome.
Nona Jones joins Jackie and Preston to talk about her new book, “The Power of Petty Prayers.” They discuss why we can’t always wait for resentment to disappear before choosing to love, and how bitterness can become a debt we unknowingly hold against others.
