A Why We Tri Podcast Production
EP13: Dean "Dino" Bruno
9/11 Survivor, Cancer Survivor & Self Motivated Triathlete- Stubborn for Feeling Alive!
Today's episode we head North to Yaphank, NY where Dean Bruno meets us from his busy office at American Portfolio Financial. Dean shares with us his introduction into Marathon Running and how shortly after, he was met with a curve ball that stopped him in his tracks. Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma. Tune in to hear how Dean faced this life threatening disease, and how it later revealed a deeper relationship with his new found venture into triathlon and his supportive triathlon community.
Dean proved, once again, obstacles in life were made to be conquered by coordinating the East Moriches Ironman this past July. An idea he put together with his Coach- Danielle Sullivan and his supportive triathlon community. Previous guests of the Why We Tri Podcast: Leah Jantzen and Noah Lam were all there to support Dean as he completed this locally created Ironman distance event after his Lake Placid Ironman Race was canceled.
