OM DENNE EPISODE
In Episode #4 of 💎Brilliant Perth💎 I'm over in Melbourne, chatting with the brilliant Tim Kalladay about artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship. Tim and I met as civil engineers and intrapreneurs at GHD in 2018. He's now incubated at YBF ventures in Melbourne, as a mathemetician and software developer; and the founder of Piccard.ai. Tim and I chat about his journey as a corporate intrapreneur, and why his passion for Artificial Intelligence and entrepreneurship was the deciding factor in leaving a full-time job to start Piccard.
My 4 key takeaways:
💎#1 Know the organisation you work in as an intrapreneur, and ask yourself is this the environment I want to be in? Am I an intra or entrepreneur?
💎#2 Tim explains the difference in risk profiles and appetites of various organisations, and why some of his ideas as an intrapreneur weren't a good fit.
💎#3 How to name your startup, by aligning with your story and personal values. What's in a name?
💎#4 A Brilliant City is one that uses AI to drive efficiency (of things like time and resources) while also considering the mental health and well-being of people
