OM DENNE EPISODE
The Podcast: The Outdated Wrestling Hour With Bob Smith podcast – now in its fourth year – offers veteran fans (as well as curious younger ones) a chance to reminisce about classic mat action from years gone by. The show is hosted by Smith, the former managing editor of Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine who also enjoyed a long history with other famous mat titles. Co-host Joe Puccio (GenerationXWire.com) offers a younger perspective on old wrestling before the duo ushers in guests from throughout the professional mat landscape.
The Topic: It’s a “rush release” this time out, as the weekend before the scheduled podcast date, Smith and Puccio learned of the passings of a legend and a current famous grappler: “Superstar” Bill Dundee and The Butcher of AEW fame. Smith and Puccio talk about the career of The Butcher – who was just as famous in another career – before Smith welcomes back fellow podcaster “Mayor” John McCall to talk about Dundee, one of the biggest stars in the history of Memphis wrestling. Join us in paying tribute to these two men on the newest Outdated Wrestling Hour With Bob Smith podcast, available wherever you get your shows.
