For more than two years, my friend John DiCarlo and I have been working on The Chaney Pod, an oral-history project devoted to preserving the stories, lessons, complexity, and legacy of legendary Temple University basketball coach John Chaney.

I’m sharing our first episode here as a one-time introduction to the new podcast.

In this episode, John and I explain how the project began, why Coach Chaney still matters so much to us, and preview some of the people and stories you’ll hear in the episodes ahead.
