OM DENNE EPISODE
Australian retailers are facing a pivotal moment. Many are still anchored by ageing ERP systems—some more than 20 years old—that limit scalability, security, and the ability to execute AI at speed. At the same time, boardrooms are demanding real transformation, with AI now a standing item on C-suite agendas.
In this Common Factor Series episode, Craig Baty, VP Research & Advisory at Factor, leads a powerful conversation with Dan McMahon (Executive Leader, Client Solutions & GTM, Avanade), John Khoury (Group CTO, Strand), Luke Ritchie (Managing Partner, Grendons Advisory), and Sarah Carney (National Technology Officer, Microsoft).
Together, they explore the modernisation challenges shaping the future of Australian retail — from dismantling tech debt and embracing composable architectures to embedding AI across finance, supply chain, and customer experience.
Through real-world examples and transformation lessons, the discussion uncovers how leaders can de-risk ERP modernisation, rebuild for real-time intelligence, and move from pilots to scalable, AI-driven execution.
Sponsored by Avanade, this episode is for retail executives ready to modernise their core, balance innovation with governance, and unlock the next chapter of digital growth.
